I stayed here back to back stays - 1 room for 1 night and a second room for a 2nd night. Positives: room was clean and staff was friendly. I stayed in the back section of the hotel that faces a trail and the highway. There were a lot of sketchy people drinking and doing drugs open in the property. My room was a nonsmoking room but totally reeked of cigarettes. The room next door was open with dogs running in and out barking and people were doing drugs and smoking weed from the doorway with trash piled outside their door. A lot of people were coming by constantly talking outside and unclear if they were dealing drugs or people were just coming to the room to do drugs. Some looked homeless and beat up. Another couple was drinking straight vodka from a bottle blocking the steps. Homeless people in the parking lot. Definitely not a place you want to bring your kids - I was there by myself and double locked my door but the crowd was unpleasant. Managers need to clean the behaviour and crowd up. If you do stay - request a room facing the parking lot as the back section is nasty.

Room: pungent smell when opening the door. We had to air out the room for quite some time. We were not sure about insects, but they ended up not being any so we stayed. Appeared to be a halfway house and a lot of commotion going on. I would never go back and advise anyone to go in.

Do not stay here when you pull up in the parking it’s so disappointing the people they allow to hang out around the hotel. We left my grandfathers ring in the room called back the same day and no one has seen it. It was 14k gold and the only thing I had from my grandfather. Still til this day they didn’t see it. They didn’t even try to locate it or return it.

First off check-in was easy and simple and the place is close to freeway and nearby to shopping or food places. However, the room looked like it hadn’t really been cleaned. Shower was so filthy we had to wear our slides to take one. The rest of the room was dirty as well. AC was too dirty to use. The floors were disgusting, with what looked like a dry drop of blood on the bathroom floor. Stains in the shower and toilet. We ended up leaving early and not staying because it just made it too uncomfortable, unfortunately cutting our trip short .

I checked out early and when I got my receipt I was still be charged for the whole stay until I went back in then he gave me another receipt with the correct amount I was suppose to pay. And j got a email that my card was invalid and they tried to charge my card again after I was refunded.

Bed sheet was not clean there was stain in the bed sheet , but the front staff was really helpful in trying to help.

Located around the freeway, roads near by are a disaster, felt old and if you get the rooms on the south east area, there’s a all you can eat Korean buffet and the smoke and smell from their grills spread throughout the motel

Only thing good was the area, AVIOD THIS This motel did not meet the expected standards. When I asked to change rooms due to price dissatisfaction, the front desk attendant told me they had no rooms available, which seemed questionable. Compared to other motels, this one was notably poorly maintained. The rooms had dirty walls, no pillowcases, and the bedsheets and towels were stained. The bathroom was unhygienic with a dirty shower and sink clogged with food waste. Given the poor state of cleanliness and service, I would not recommend this motel and advise others to exercise caution.

The shower was disgustingly filthy (including hair), the toilet tank didn’t even fit on the toilet tank, and the bed was super hard and uncomfortable. The pillows were awful too. I could not wash my hair with the poor shower head. A positive—the sheets appeared clean.

The room I was assigned was supposed to be nonsmoking but unfortunately when I got to room I seemed like someone was recently smoking in the room and looked like a person was laying on the bed prior to my arrival

I stayed 3 nights, 27 thru 29 FEB, no hot water the last 2 nights. I stayed again the following weekend, 6-9 MAR, only slightly warm water the first 2 nights. The front desk, Mr. Patel, was indifferent to the issue and was not willing to discount the nightly rate. Failure to provide promised amenities does not fulfill the original booking agreement, but the site manager did not agree.

Upon check-in, I was informed that the hot water system was under repair. Arriving at 6 PM, I had no choice but to stay, as it would have been inconvenient to find a new hotel at that hour. It seemed like no real effort was being made to fix the issue, leaving me with no option but to endure cold showers both at night and in the morning. This made for an extremely unpleasant experience.

Vending machines broken, ice machine broken, and towels were stained and dirty. Staff didn’t care to hear about the complaints and didn’t express any concern or sense of urgency to fix the problem.

For Motel 6. It was by far the best one I'd ever been to, and the Staff was Fantastic

The vending machines don’t work. It’s clean and quiet, but not really convenient or comfortable. I’ve stayed in a couple other hotels from the same chain in the same city this year and just straight up was not this cold or uncomfortable or inconvenienced at any of them. If you insist on staying here, the vending machines in the hotel next door work. Maybe I should have just stayed there.

The room was in good condition for the price. Our room was on the freeway side so there was no view of our car. The front door secondary lock wouldn’t engage. There room was clean but the TV didn’t work and there was no soap or conditioner provided for showers. Bed was very very firm. And the people upstairs were loud at random times. In the end, you get what you pay for.

when i approached the desk staff member stopped checking in a person and asked them to step aside to ck me in this staff member actually said my room number out loud as they handed me the key card which is a huge safety issue for me which is usual motel / hotel procedure to not announce the room number out loud when other guests are present when i got to room the pillows were very flat so asked front desk to bring extra pillows the same staff say ok and no one ever came so i went to office and he told me oh they don't have any which seemed very odd this motel is very run down and definitely a place i will never stay at again

Easy check in and check out process, but the bed/pillows were extremely uncomfortable. Some of the lights (next to the TV) did not work so it felt dark in the room, and the remote did not work as well so we had to use the switch on the TV to turn it on/off/switch channels.

My first stay the unit had a microwave and everything seemed to function normal, second stay was in a different unit there was no microwave, and tv was not functioning fixed it myself, and had to provide my own blankets and pillows due to lack of service, one of the gentleman in the front desk was nice enough to heat up my food in the microwave that’s in the office. Overall decent stay for someone who dose not ask for much other than a roof and a bed to sleep.

Toilets don’t work for a couple of days after certain time and nearby hotel mates have similar issues. Also when you call the front desk, no one picks up the phone and I called numerous times of the day to get room change or to fix their toilet.

Even though you are close to a freeway, the room I had did face away from the freeway and was rather quiet. The room was clean and the furniture looked relatively new. The only thing that was missing in the room was a chair for the desk should you ever need to use it for work. Something like that you could easily ask for from the front desk. But since it was only for a night, it was hardly worth the bother. But beyond that, definitely a comfy place to rest.

I was not thrilled with the location. Nothing like the picture shown. Backs onto the freeway so there’s that noise. But I was tired and just wanted to get some rest. I got to my room, which was clean, and as I pulled back the sheets to lay down discovered scattered hair throughout. I asked for another room which was not a problem. But then as I pulled covers back, found hair again. At this point, I just asked for a refund, which was not a problem, front desk was very apologetic and nice about it.

Cleanliness = just adequate, but very worn, not super clean, just barely clean enough honestly - just barely in the category I expect from Motel 6. just at the very bottom of acceptable. Any less and it absolutely should not be Motel 6

Check in and check out was easy. Plenty of parking. Room was recently cleaned when we arrived. Didn't run into anything negative. Conveniently located to where we were going our two days in San Diego.

Nothing just a motel.

It was okay. I wasn't expecting much. The bed was comfortable. The overhead lights didn't work. There was only bar soap in the bathroom, no shampoo (maybe that's standard for low end hotels).

When we got to the property we noticed that there was homeless people around. Also there was a roach in the bathroom. They had two flimsy pillows on the bed. I had to ask for more which they did give. The bed was hard as a rock and the people staying at the hotel. I believe we're homeless

I like where the hotel is located, it’s a nice quiet area. The downside was the bed was super hard and uncomfortable. The sheets had stains and the bathroom door was busted.

When i entered the room there was a weird smell to it. It didnt go away until after I left the window open for a day and left. When I came back to the room that night the smell was gone. There was not a main light that lit up the room but there were little personal lights on each side of the bed. I would rent the room again only if i was sleeping there like i did this last time but if you are going to be spending most of your time in the room I suggest you get something nicer and brighter with amenities like breakfast, a pool, gym and laundry mat on site. Parking is free and a deposit of $50 was collected when checking in, which i love both of those things.

Tub was filthy, not sure if it could be cleaned. Grout was molded. Hand towel had dirt on it. Stains on the bedding. TV picture had buffering lines on it. Manager, would not supply me with a receipt on the room stay, stated Hotels.com would give me one. Charged an additional $50 at check in, and promised to return it upon check out, still waiting after 2 days for credit. Homelessness in area.

Literally no amenities whatsoever. Did not expect a lot, but was extremely dirty. Did not even use the shower. Just went to gym. Entire place smelled of marijuana

The AC unit barely worked. Our initial room had a strong cigarette smell. The bed only had 2 pillows that barely counted as pillows. The lighting was so dim even with all the lights on.

Got buds bite my arm, back and my thigh. Room was not clean for the prices I paid for over $110 per nite

Great atmosphere quiet and cool. Great rates and plenty of parking free coffee there’s an area for pets and a walking trail behind the motel. Newer rooms with up to date equipment and plenty of plugs for phones etc. I definitely recommend using this hotel

We’ve been in our fair share of Motel6 but this one is by far the worst. Fire alarm pulled from wall with wires hanging loose. The a/c did not work. The sink was not cleaned, photos attached are upon check in. The door does not properly close so all the outside noise is very loud. Overall would not stay here again, spend a few dollars more and be comfortable where you sleep.

When I checked in the guy was on the phone and then he gave me a room that had a bad odor made my head hurt I asked to be changed to a new room and they didn't do it I would not recommend nobody to stay there!!

I wasn’t going to give a review, I was very disappointed with my experience. I have always chosen this Motel because it’s closes to my family when I visit. But As I’m walking towards the room a door opens 2 People come out and right away I get the smell of weed , I don’t care but I thought I had gotten a non smoke room and the property was smoke free. Then I go in the room No control for TV and my biggest concern was the bathroom I’ll show pictures

At first glance, I hesitated because of the people hanging out in the parking lot. People looked like they are using drugs, and tweaking. I was scared to leave my car in the parking lot. The room looked nice but once I laid on the bed it was hard like I was sleeping on a box spring. The pillows are literally paper thin. Not comfortable at all. The air conditioner did not get our room cool. Even when I changed rooms , it was just as bad. The blankets are literally sheets. The under blanket had pipe burns throughout them. I totally was not comfortable or satisfied with my stay. Will never go back. Ever!

Our stay was ok, the room smelled musty, the towels were worn and rough. Your front desk clerk was very polite and pleasant.

Front desk staff was very friendly, but other than that things were pretty rough. The bed was almost like sleeping on a rock and my head as almost on the mattress even with both pillows. Lots of loud people outside and front doors slamming through the night. Would’ve definitely rated it higher if it wasn’t $130/night, since the other stuff is expected from a motel 6.

DO NOT BOOK HERE. There was an incident which caused danger to my family. They called front desk after someone was trying to kick their door down and nobody came. My family was there for. 3 hours ONLY. And had to check out after only 3 hours due to the danger and scary situation. They have denied our refund although no rooms were used overnight. DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT BOOK HERE.

Bathtub was dirty and moldy. I didnt use it because it was unclean. The bathroom faucet spat black water at first. The faucet itself is loose. Sketchy people and homeless consistently present on property. Good news: lots of flood lighting at night, my car didnt get broken into. Yay!

The entrance door was about 1/2 inch too short so there was daylight a huge gap. I woke up to cockroaches on the floor and on the room desk Horrendous and disgusting. The vent to the room ac was broken. I have video and pictures of the room. I will never ever stay there again and I will never ever recommend this place to anybody, it is so Dirty around the area and the inside as well… horrible, horrible, horrible place. Please refund my account respectfully.

The front desk associates are friendly and work efficiently checking you in. They have recharged my door key card a couple times since my stay began. The parking lot is kept clean, the grass, trees and plants look like spring. Nice front loading Spreed Queen washers are only $2.50 a load.The dryers also $2.50 a load are front load gas dryers that run 60 minutes per cycle

Great motel with friendly staff. The front desk staff is very quick to respond when I enter to extend my stay/get my key card updated. There is a Korean Barbeque Buffef All You Can Eat right next door that brings in the folks at dinner tine. It’s a sure winner!

I lived in homes in the North County cities of Escondido & Carlsbad. Also up in Scripps Ranch two different times. The most recent time from 5/2023 -3/2024 renting a bedroom & bathroom

A nice gentleman at the front desk did my check in efficiently & friendly. He let me be on the second floor when I explained that I take my shoes off upon entering and I walk quietly. I’ve had some loud tap dancers on the floor above before, but not here. Thanks!

I arrived at 3:30pm the e-mail stayed 3pm check in. The room wasn’t ready when I arrived I waited until 4:30pm when it finally was ready they didn’t bother placing new toilet paper the cleaning was 50% done. Not a pleasant stay

I have stayed here because of the convenience and the staff nice enough; however, I've this place is right off the freeway and old walking path and is full of homeless, there were at least 4 homeless with all their belongs around the property and as someone who was traveled with dogs I didn't feel safe. Homeless are also using the charging facilities around the property to charge their phones and the property owners don't seem to be too concerned.

The room was decent clean. I love animals, However, there were a lot of people coming in and out of their rooms with dogs and cats (lots). People were screaming and yelling in the middle of the night. We had to wake up super early and couldn't sleep due to the noise and people yelling even though it was during the week! Felt unsafe too!

Nice and small motel tucked away behind a Korean all you can eat buffet. There are also several other restaurants nearby, such as Aladdin or Ma's House. Havana Grill is one of the few Cuban restaurants. Pets are welcome, unlike at Pleasant Inn next door or California Suites. There are some strange characters but keep in mind this is one of the most central locations to the entire city, and near businesses as well as excellent Asian food.

The property needs a remodel. Everything was a little old/used. The room smelled musty. Other than that, it was just average and ok for a 1 night stay. The price was cheap!

Not sure if mgr is at fault. However, the room was located in a sketchy part. Which was made worse with homeless shopping g carts literally right I front of the room. And homeless persons laying underneath access stairs. Quite uncomfortable moments while walking to the room. The night I stayed, a lot of loitering on the property. Not sure if they were guests.

Had to switch rooms multiple times. The 3rd room was finally okay. First room had electrical issues lights didn’t work. 2nd room smelled like cigarettes in a non smoking room and ac was coming apart.

We could not sleep. People were fighting and screaming outside. Outside of the room there were blankets on the floor. It looked like a homeless encampment.

While the room is obviously newly renovated and clean, it smelled like cigarettes in there. Outside the units are bunch of personal items from the other unit that seems to be from people who are checked in for a longer stay or like they actually live there. By the parking lot, there are homeless people camping out by the dumpster in their cars and RV. They wouldn’t bother you and I wasn’t really bothered but just wanting to let other people know so they don’t get surprised when they come to stay in this property. Would I stay here again? I sure will but it wouldn’t be my first choice.

Fair for the price.

It is sad to see that companies can still be open in such poor conditions. The penetrated smell of cigarettes and filth was so disappointing. I know not to expect much from a budget place but this place is just a example of a slum lord ownership.

Our room had dirty floors, a bunch of fruit flies and the bathroom was so dirty. Called the lobby to ask if we can move to another room and was told there weren’t any rooms available. Then they told me they would send housekeeping to my room, housekeeping never came.

Overall it's pretty MEH and gross. Overall passing as "clean" in the room but signs of wear and tear, water damage, load people at night and in a sketchy area of town. WAY too expensive for what it is. We left one night early.

This had to be the worst Motel 6 I have ever visited and while I paid for the room I didn’t sleep there and will be getting reimbursed. First, the room was horrible and maintenance had to come in and fix the lights. There were several homeless/drug addicts camped out less than a 200ft from the room door. TENTS and all. Very scary looking men watching me carry my bags into the room. This was extremely concerning since I was a solo traveler. I expressed my concern and was initially told I couldn’t change rooms until the following day. After a few minutes of back and forth they reluctantly offered me a room in front of the building. Upon entering this new room, air conditioner was broken, literally pieces of plastic all over the floor AND it did not work. Having had driven into San Diego from Dallas I just wanted to sleep. I ended up booking a room at the Hampton Inn and had a fantastic stay. I’ll be disputing the charge and will NEVER stay at a Motel 6 again. This experience was truly unbelievable.

First and foremost: , I missed a bible in the room.A small homeless camp by the hotel. I needed a plastic spoon Saturday night and the lady in the front office replied me they did not carry any of that(???). Air conditioning should be renewed.

The room was OK. It was clean, but smelled like smoke. I should have specified a non smoking area. The paking lot was big! The lady who checked me in was ver friendly and polite. I just needed a place to sleep before conference the next morning. I chose the motel because of the lower price.

Pressure from stepping or placing items on the floor cause water to rise, forces to use towls to not get backpack or clothes wet.

I would like to pay your attention to the room 125 i stayed, the floor was full of water coming underneath. I did not know if the water was from a sewer or potable water supply. I am requseting to refund my payment.

The shower has been completely decimated in the two rooms I stayed in. The bathroom floor was falling apart. The toliet had a large wipe of poop on it. The TV was falling out of the furniture. The fridge was not plugged in and my food spoiled. In addition it and the microwave were stacked ontop of the desk, leaving me without enough space to use it. I had two spiders crawl on the bedsheets. And they didn't even give me any towels! Additionally this place was right next to the highway and was thus very noisy.

The TV had 5 channels, the wifi didn’t work, I have stayed at several Motel 6 locations during my years of PCSing (military family) and this was by far the worst.
