Reviews
Guests generally enjoyed their stay, praising the hotel's location, cleanliness, and staff friendliness. However, there were several recurring complaints about the parking garage, elevator wait times, and lack of room cleaning services.
- Great location close to Little Italy, Gaslamp District, and the airport
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Parking garage is narrow and difficult to navigate
- Elevator wait times can be long
- 4/5
Last minute booking as the flight delays kept us a day longer, close to the airport (short uber/taxi ride away). Plenty of local places to walk to in the area. Hotel is an old Doubletree but Courtyard made the right upgrades to their hotel!

Clean hotel, cool to watch planes land off the balcony. Not noisy, just fun! Easy walking distance to Little Italy. Staff was really great with recommendations for dinner.

Parking garage and spaces are extremely tight. Challenging to park. Room was modern, clean and nicely appointed. Small shower size and weak water pressure. Comfortable bed. Friendly helpful staff. Easy walking distance to Little Italy.

The staff were very nice it was a smooth process to check in, they offered water which was nice. And the hotel is close to a lot of things perfect location. And the farmers market right next door on Saturday was amazing

During booking, I paid for breakfast. The next morning, I went to the dining area expecting a normal hotel breakfast. As I entered, a staff member stopped me and asked for an airline badge. I was confused and said I was a hotel guest and did not know what that meant. I was told I could not enter without it. The interaction felt embarrassing in front of other guests. I went to the front desk and explained that I had already paid for breakfast. At first, they could not find it in the system and asked for my email confirmation. After I showed proof, they adjusted my reservation and said it was fixed. When I returned to the dining area, another staff member again stopped me and asked about the airline badge. After repeating the situation, I was told I should sit down and order from a menu instead of using a buffet. This should have been explained clearly from the beginning and would have avoided confusion. The food was acceptable, but the service was disorganized. Later, I also noticed a breakfast charge on my credit card even though I had already paid, which adds concern. Overall, the lack of clear communication, repeated stopping at the entrance, and possible duplicate charge made this a disappointing stay. Since I was evaluating this hotel for a long work stay, I will not be booking it again.

While I appreciate the excellent service from the staff, the noise issue and maintenance problems were significant drawbacks.
- 5/5
Amazing stay really good view and great service

So clean and staff is kind

We had an electrical issue with lights turning on independently. Bathroom door had a horrible squeak The parking garage is a real challenge for mid to large sized cars. Exit ramp needs to be entered on a corner, which left a huge concern for getting out without damaging my car. (Honda Pilot)

Our new favorite hotel when visiting Little Italy in San Diego. Parking is simple, with options including free street parking, paid public parking, or secured underground hotel parking for a fee. As soon as you walk in, the clean smell and friendly, helpful staff make you feel welcome! A special thank you to the front desk team, who are very welcoming, knowledgeable, and always supportive. Our room was spotless, cozy, and offered an incredible view. Plus, it's within walking distance of excellent high-end restaurants and attractions open day and night. The gym was already crowded by 8:00AM! We loved the vibe and everything about it. High five, Marriott!

Great location. Very clean.
- 5/5
Very cute hotel in little Italy and very conveniently located near the trolley, gaslamp, and all the great restaurants in little Italy, and you can take the trolley down to seaport village as well right near the hotel. The staff was polite and helpful and we had morning coffee and breakfast at the restaurant which was very comfortable and a great layout which makes you feel like you’re at home and not a hotel. Rooms were clean and had a view of the airport runway, partially marina, and the freeway which made it a little noisy but my son love seeing the planes land. You can get a quieter room on the other side of the hotel away from the freeway. One thing to note, and this has nothing to do with the hotel but the area around the hotel, is that there are many homeless people around

Don’t take a pick up truck in the parking lot . It definitely a struggle to get out. They should have signs not for pick up trucks.
- 4.5/5
Staff are excellent and so helpful. The hotel lobby is beautiful. Rooms are spacious and clean, no complaints from us. Nice to have an easy to access, well stocked gym available also. Location is excellent for Little Italy and most things are walkable from the hotel. Pool could have been so much bigger and a hot tub would have been great, other than that the pool area is nice.
- 5/5
Excellent location in the Little Italy neighborhood. Blocks from the waterfront. Very walkable to entire downtown areas. Staff were very professional and friendly. Room was neat and clean, bed was comfortable.

Little Italy is our favorite part of San Diego. This hotel is close to it and the Embarcadero.

Clean room! Very pet friendly. Despite being pet friendly, room and overall hotel was very clean

Hotel had music playing at night which you can hear from the room. I requested a high floor room and was given one of the lowest floor. Ask staff about the music and they were not very helpful. Would not recommend anyone to stay at Marriott as staff needs to be better.

I can’t fault this property, the location is amazing, especially if you love planes like me! Right by Little Italy, very close to a metro stop and the staff were amazing! The location can be a little sketchy of a night, but other than than that it’s perfect!
- 5/5
Great location. A couple minutes walk from little Italy, also right next to a dog park! Not much parking space, we paid for public parking across the street, which was cheaper than the hotel so we didn’t mind. The pool was the only thing that wasn’t all that, but everything else was great.
- 2/5
Two nights stay, staff didn't clean room at all. I tried calling front desk 7 times but they didn't answer once. Parking lot entrance to the elevator smelled like piss.
- 3/5
On a positive note, the location is great.
- 5/5
We had one dinner and two breakfasts in the hotel restaurant. Excellent food and excellent service !!! I sat in the orange chair by the window in my room. I needed a small table by the chair where I could put my food . Other than that, everything was wonderful !!!

The property itself is surrounded by main attractions! On Saturday Little Italy had their market right next to the hotel! Everything is in close proximity which was a pleasant surprise. I will comment about their parking situation. You’ll find that exiting or entering the driveway it’s very narrow.

Complete disrespect from staff as i was in conversation with the front desk agent when he completely disregarded my self and my GF to attend to there more important clientele/guests (airline pilots) literslly walked away from us mid conversation then procesded to call me 20 minutes later with almoat attitude. For marriott this is just unacceptable. 9 years in the industry and i have never treated any guest in this manner. Horrible stay. Breakfast was a joke as well. I basically had to talk to three employees to prove i paid for my Breakfast via expedia and showed them. Long story short i felt i stayed at a Travelodge inn. Room was clean 👌 Other then this. YOU HAVE TO BE PLATINUM MEMBER OR A PILOT FOR ANY REAL ATTENTUON OR RESPECT.

One bedroom suits is especially big!

Convenet and close to where we wanted to be , enjoyed the pool deck
- 5/5
Walking inside, it was super clean. Staff was amazing really polite, ….. but they didn’t get my correct room. I asked for one king size bed, but I’m not gonna complain. The room was clean. The only thing I did not like is the parking if I would’ve known I would’ve parked outside. It was really really difficult to go inside cause I drive a truck but everything else. Good job guys thank you.
- 2/5
Hotel is good but unfortunately the location is terrible!!!! The parking garage is enough to give anyone anxiety and claustrophobia there’s no parking there and as soon as you enter there’s no way out. So once you leave the trap and try and find street parking your only option is to pay across the street where there is at least 6 tents and then the 6.50 hourly rate is outrageous if you are staying over night. The hotel does nothing to try and be more accommodating with parking and other small needs definitely will never stay here.
- 5/5
Love it—nice and comfy.

- 4/5
Very clean, fresh room! Love the tv streaming ability. Great staff and service. Only issue was the tub/shower had a very slow drain. I was standing in water the whole time, using shampoo and conditioner that didn’t drain and made the tub very slippery.
- 1/5
I forgot my Apple Watch in the room, called 10 minutes after to have the housekeeping recover it for me, and they said there was nothing in there, but trough my find my device, was still there.
- 4/5
Rooms are very nice, bed is excellent. Good location with a short walk to Little Italy. Parking is very tight for bigger SUV’s and trucks, use a small car to navigate better. It’s also 45/day for parking. The rate you see is not the final rate. Overall very nice hotel.
- 5/5
Room - wonderful size and amenities. Well appointed . Only slight issue ? It’s on the freeway side so it was a bit louder than hoping . Hotel - overall spacious and nicely decorated . I would not hesitate to stay here again. Close to little Italy and Lofty Coffee.

Location of property was wonderful. Saturday farmers market starts at the end of the block uo from the hotel and there many restaurants and activities within walking distance
- 5/5
This property was great came in town for an outpatient surgery right across the border. My appointment wasn’t until two pm, I booked a king room however it wasn’t ready when I arrived at noon so they allowed me to check into a double queen early. When I got in the room the woman from the front desk called to see if everything in her room was good okay. And the view was amazing
- 4/5
Great stay, helpful staff. Requested a room change away from the freeway side after the first sleepless night- otherwise it was great!
- 4/5
The windows/sliding doors to the outside are quite old so the highway and airport noise was so loud. Hard to listen to the tv and hard to fall asleep.
- 3/5
The hotel itself is old and our room showed it. Although it was clean there were lots of problems. The outlet in the bathroom was so loose it didn’t work. The patio door to the balcony didn’t shut all the way so traffic was very loud. Overall it was comfortable for the price but definitely needs some renovations
- 5/5
mins walk. There is a restaurant onsite and bar we went out every night. The Harbor bay is within walking distance, and you need to check out Seaport shops as well.
- 5/5
Property was recently refreshed and upgraded. Great location in Little Italy, convenient and quiet.
- 5/5
I recently stayed at the Residence Inn by Marriott San Diego Downtown/Little Italy and overall had a great experience. The location is easily the highlight—right in the heart of Little Italy, with amazing restaurants, coffee shops, and the waterfront all within walking distance. It’s perfect if you want to explore San Diego without needing to drive everywhere.
- 4/5
Food choices were good but portion large easier to order sides instead of wasting food. No cash allowed
- 5/5
The breakfast was great and it was within walking distance of the cruise port even with luggage.

One of the best parts of this hotel is its location—it’s just a short walk to Little Italy, which made it so easy to explore and enjoy all the amazing restaurant options nearby. We loved being able to step out and have so many great places to eat within minutes. Another bonus was the accessible EV charging at the hotel—it was super convenient and made our trip even smoother. Overall, a wonderful experience and we would definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
The room was clean and inviting. We enjoyed the view and the balcony. We had little interaction with the staff but they seemed very nice and efficient.

- 3/5
We arrived at 1:30 PM and found a crowded, disorganized lobby. The front desk took my number on a handwritten list that spanned multiple pages. When we returned at 3:30 PM, it was still chaotic and our room wasn’t ready. I was told 4:00 PM check-in is “not guaranteed,” which was surprising. A staff member mentioned the hotel is “always oversold,” which explained the situation. Bags were stored everywhere, clearly beyond capacity. We were told we’d be notified when our room was ready—no call or message ever came, even after reaching out through Expedia. When we returned later, we were initially told we didn’t have a room. Eventually, we were given the wrong room (two doubles instead of a king) with a promise to switch the next day. After following up again, we didn’t get our correct room until 5:00 PM the next day. The staff seemed overwhelmed by a systemic issue. While the location is excellent, the overbooking model creates a poor experience. I’ll likely try another hotel next time.

Very close to little Italy. Nice walking distance to popular areas.

Clean room. Great neighbor hood
- 4/5
The breakfast was good. The room was dated. The air conditioner was making noise every time it turned on and it woke up my family. Also, when it comes to getting towels or cleaning your room, it took longer than expected. Our our bed was never made or room was cleaned.
- 2/5
Staff was rude . Bar downstairs closed at 10. It was as New Year’s Eve and the bartender wouldn’t serve us at 10 pm after making us wait 5 mins for her to finish her personal conversation with some other customers .
- 3/5
Old and slow elevators. Old and no locking room sliding door.
- 5/5
Great location, we had a great time.

- 3/5
I specifically chose this hotel for the heated pool as my daughter was excited to swim the pool was super cold. I got different answers from the staff some said oh they never heat it another stated it’s been hot so we don’t heat it super disappointing.
- 2/5
First off, the check in took way longer than it should have. We arrived around 3:55 and had to wait until 4:20 to actually get our keys. We weren’t even offered anything complimentary for this ridiculous wait which made us late for the baseball game that evening. To top it off, the next day we had to check out and then the elevators stop working. We had to climb down 10 flights of stairs with all of our luggage. For some reason the staircase only starts at the 2nd floor so when you check out you have to wait in a long line to even get back to parking. Terrible stay and will never recommend this location.
- 5/5
Great experience with friendly staff. Rooms are spacious and modern looking. I would recommend
- 4/5
Loved the location, so close to everything in Little Italy by foot! Loved the pool area but wish they had either a bar or the option to get room service delivered. The rooms were nice and big bathrooms, very nice down pillows.

The rooms were comfortable, and the lobby area was beautiful. Onsite parking was available, though it was somewhat small and narrow. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

- 5/5
It was great stay, reception at the front desk was very professional. The only suggestion may be made it’s probably check the toiletries while cleaning the room and refilling so the guest doesn’t have to go to ask for at front desk, and more towels… And location is great the building is good…
- 5/5
Very nice and clean rooms
- 4/5
Staff were very nice and accommodating. Room was clean and had everything we needed Water pressure in our bathroom was not as strong as we are used to, and the shower water temperature was on the cooler side even on the hottest setting. They were experiencing a heat wave during our visit, so lower water temp was ok.
- 4/5

The staff, location ,hotel were all exceptional!! The farmers market right out our window was a pleasant surprised! Will definitely stay here again!

The location is amazing but the rooms need upgrading. For example the first room we recurved the outlets didn’t work neither did the mini fridge. We were moved to another room but yet the mini fridge was still an issue. They didn’t cool our food and drinks. Also, there was barley and water coming out in the bathroom
- 5/5
Cute and local
- 4/5
very nice would say again, except for the parking garage was a nightmare. The walls are too Narrow . Very scary.
- 4/5
Everything was good except tub in my room was not draining water. We told them and they sent an engineer who couldn’t figure out in the limited time we had and asked for a room change which we couldn’t do as we were settled and had limited time.
- 2/5
Not a good experience, beds are really hard, customer service not good, was stuck in the restroom with no tissues, had to ask for clean towels over and over. Parking was terrible

The actual stay was okay. The check-in process was horrendous. I called twice the same week of my booking to make sure I didn't need to do any extra planning for arriving at or around midnight which I did. I was told by Floan that no I did not need to do anything when I called the first time. The second time I called the day of the booking on Friday and I was told again I don't need to do anything additional. I then arrived around midnight and was told that the hotel was overbooked and my room had been sold. Why had it been sold if I prepaid and I called twice to make sure my room would be available when I arrived. I was then given the option of a different room with the same bed with no view or balcony which is specifically the reason why I booked the hotel in the first place. Or a room with two queens and a balcony. This is my anniversary and it was ruined from the start! Water reservations for? What are prepaids for if it doesn't hold anything? My room should have been held for me like stated by staff. They then offered to count my parking which was already included in my booking. If it wasn't past midnight I would have found a different Hotel because the check-in service was more than unacceptable. When a person makes a reservation let alone prepays you should stand by that and hold the person's room for when they actually show up! So I was left with a view of the freeway instead of the city for my anniversary celebration. This has happened numerous times and no one's hav

I was not expecting all the noise I heard from the streets. Was expecting double pane sliding doors I think it’s time to upgrade those not sure I would stay again at that location. Also having a late flight back home I wish I could have paid additional fee to check out at 3pm. Most place offer that but I did appreciate the 12:30 check out oh and the prices for the drinks and snacks where out of control ridiculous prices.

The hotel charges $40 per day for parking, but fails to clearly disclose that the parking structure is extremely small and realistically only suitable for compact cars. Although there is a sign stating that the second level is for trucks or larger SUVs, that level was completely filled with compact vehicles. If you are driving a truck, I highly recommend finding street parking instead. Unfortunately, we didn’t realize how inadequate the structure was until it was too late. While exiting, my husband’s truck was scratched due to how narrow the exit is, making it very difficult—if not impossible—to safely maneuver a larger vehicle out of the garage. On top of the parking issues, our room was not cleaned at all throughout the entire weekend, which was extremely disappointing, especially given the expectations associated with staying at a Marriott. To make matters worse, at the end of our stay I was still charged for parking, despite the fact that I did not park my car in the structure. Overall, this stay fell far below expectations in terms of communication, service, and attention to guest experience.
- 2/5
Our room was not available when we checked in at 4pm as stated on the site. Front desk was not very helpful but manager walked up and offered comp parking. When I asked to be called when my room was ready I was not. I called to see if it was available because I didn’t want to drive back for no reason and I was placed on hold for a very long time with no answer which I hung up and drove to the hotel. I had dinner reservations I was late to because I didn’t get ready in time due to late check in.
- 3/5
Hotel was great… however the parking garage was extremely narrow and I couldn’t park my truck in there… as a result I had to run to the parking meter every 2hrs to avoid being towed
- 3/5
Being it was our Anniversary present to ourselves, I was very upset. I normally do not like to give a bad review but this could have been a much more pleasurable say had it been a clean room. I would have complained but we were so tired and didn’t want to repack after driving from Az.
- 5/5
Wonderful hotel, would highly recommend. Great staff too.
- 3/5
Parking is too narrow. Very limited towels. Convenient walking distance to little Italy. Views are good.
- 3/5
Parking structure is terrible
- 5/5
Staff was polite, rooms were clean, atmosphere was great being close to little Italy, easy access to restaurants and stores and close to the Bay Area
- 3/5
The room was nice. I didnt see anything in the room and wasnt told at checkin no housekeeping. I called to call for towels. When I came back to the room after being gone the room had not been cleaned. Just tell the guest if you dont have housekeeping unless requested. At check in I do not think the check in person was courteous. I was rattled by the parking garage as I was almost stuck. You should definitely tell people your parking garage is meant for compact cars. The small SUV in front of me had the worst time too. We both left your garage after about 30 min of trying to park and basically get out. I was able to find parking in the lot across the street. ot what I wanted, outside parking and in rain, the lot was flooded in spots. When I told the check in person about the garage she looked at me and said nothing. then responded yep its like that. I told her if it wasnt late and I was not going to be charged I would look for a room elsewhere. Not to mention standing outside a locked door and ringing to get in no one helping. A guest coming in opened for me. She told me the door doesnt lock until 9 but...somoene walked up and said its locking and they are looking at it. This stay was ot what I expected from Marriott. I love Marriots. It was a disappointment only in regards to hotel and parking. Loved the location and felt it was safe. Thankfully there was that.
- 5/5
The room was clean and the staff was very welcoming
- 5/5
The staff was extremely helpful across every shift!
- 5/5
The room was very clean and the staff were quite friendly and professional.
- 5/5
the balcony was EVERYTHING for me!
- 5/5
Great hotel!! In the middle of Little Italy. Very walkable. The bar staff were fantastic!
- 3/5
The AC in the room wa very loud. The elevators sometimes take a long time, multiple minutes
- 4/5
Great staff, location and breakfast however the parking garage is not very easy to get in and out of.
- 5/5
Nice , big and clean room. Loved my stay
- 1/5
About the worst experience I have every had - Parking lot very poorly designed making it hard to navigate the way too narrow ramps without damaging car, and signs regarding availability of parking were not conveniently placed and clear - the hundreds of damage marks showed that this problem was not limited to just a few people; additionally, on-site restaurant menu options were not varied enough nor appealing
- 4/5
Wonderful hotel. Very clean. Enjoyed our room and view.
- 4/5
Clean, comfy beds, nice location, close to all. We didn’t try their breakfast . Noisy due to its proximity to the freeway.
- 5/5
Nice room. Great location
- 5/5
. c Every one was nice
- 4/5
Not see it. It happened with multiple folks so something to watchout . Overall pretty decent place to stay for one night.
- 4/5
Staff not great
- 5/5
clean
- 4/5
The bar’s food selection was limited, but the staff member went out of her way to help us find something we could enjoy, which made a big difference after a long day. While the surrounding street may not appeal to everyone, the experience inside the hotel was positive.
- 5/5
Loved staying here ! Was close to everything and so quiet
- 5/5
i had an early check-in and received an upgraded room!! amazing staff!
- 3/5
Great staff and room was fine but parking was congested and we had an EV but there was someone charging in the spot the entire stay without a parking permit. Also the elevators weren’t working so had to walk up from basement after parking. No lotion or other amenities other than shower stuff. Really budget feel to it.
- 4/5
The staff was amazing. The room was clean and very comfortable. The only complaint was not all elevators were in operation. This caused a tremendous wait time.
- 4/5
Room has a wet spot on the carpet, maybe from cleaning.
- 5/5
Very nice
- 1/5
I was woken at 5 am telling me im making too much noise and tv is on loud. I didnt even have tv on. I complained at checkout and asked to speak to manager. 3 weeks later still waiting.
- 5/5
Loved the room, very clean.
- 5/5
We didn’t eat breakfast, as our reservation said it was included but then when we arrived, it was a fee to have breakfast there. It’s misleading for families looking for a quick and easy breakfast before departure.
- 1/5
I was really disappointed with my check-in experience. I specifically paid extra in advance for a king bed, as I was staying with my partner and that was important to us. When we arrived, the front desk informed us that the only remaining king room had plumbing issues and we were being given two queens instead. While I understand that issues can happen, what was frustrating was that no alternative solution or accommodation was offered—no adjustment, no compensation, and no acknowledgment that we paid more for a room type we didn’t receive. We were left with no choice after a long day of travel. The stay itself was fine, but the lack of effort or customer service during check-in really impacted our experience.
- 5/5
It was very nice we enjoyed the stay. We will definitely go back
- 5/5
Staff were really nice, my room was big and clean, great amenities, beautiful views, super close to fun places.
- 4/5
It’s a very nice place to stay! The room was clean and it had a beautiful view of the city. I would have liked more towels in the bathroom and more coffee.
- 3/5
Staff was very courteous. The hotel lobby and hallways was too cold. Our hot water in our room worked occasionally. The phone in our room was not working.
- 5/5
Loved the location and so nice!
- 5/5
Very nice
- 5/5
The check-in person was fantastic. Personable, willing to help, and very knowledgeable. She was fantastic!
- 1/5
My room was never cleaned for the 3 day stay. I complained to front desk,no sense of urgency and had to ask for towels every day. Clearly not staying here again!
- 4/5
I enjoyed the stay. Staff was pleasant just upset the ice machine didn’t work and could of used more towels
- 5/5
The staff was so friendly and helpful. The hotel was beautiful and we loved how close it was to so many different places in downtown San Diego. We will absolutely recommend this hotel to friends and family.
- 5/5
Great stay
- 2/5
Bathroom was very dirty, water leak coming from the shower above, with yellow stains in the ceiling. Pee from the usage of someone above
- 5/5
Great
- 3/5
Beds were comfortable. Stayed there particularly for the EV chargers. Charged $40 for parking each night, but 3 out of the 4 chargers didn’t work. Cleaning isn’t automatic. We asked for our room to be cleaned twice during our 5-day stay. The first time it didn’t happen. The second time, the trash was taken out and towels weee replenished. Nothing else.
- 5/5
The big surprise is the Saturday farmers market right around the corner—such a great location!
- 1/5
Currently being handed over from Hilton (as I was told) so the hotel is in a state of renovation which could be good but unfortunately not. - first room facing the highway was so loud - note I was on the top floor - I had to be moved - second room facing the road a quieter but still needed earplugs to sleep - tv in room didn’t work - elevator stopped working during my stay - note I was on the top floor - customer service very mixed at reception Obvious a hotel in transition but the basics weren’t there to justify a good review
- 3/5
Poor room service. Toilet flush wasn’t working. No bottle water in the room
- 3/5
Staff was courteous, but the clerk forgot to give me information about the room cleaning policy. They only provided clean towels and remove the trash upon request. It’s not a daily routine. She also forgot to give me my two water bottles at check in. Not very happy…
- 1/5
terrible experience elaborate didn’t work partially had to walk 20 flights of stairs people smoke weed there
- 4/5
It was good
- 2/5
The first night of check in the door of the fridge came out and hit my foot. I called the front desk and complained. The promised to fix it in the morning. But never fixed it and only sent a guy the night of my morning check out. Who I sent it back because my kids were sleeping. They also did not clean the drop despite my repeated requests. A vacation was made terrible because of the staff and incompetent manager.
- 1/5
Very rude personnel. There’s way too much outside noise in the room. You don’t even get water in the rooms!!!!
- 5/5
Room was nice great view
- 3/5
The breakfast service was extremely slow, there were only two vegetarian options. Even after having a breakfast package in our booking, we could not choose what we wanted. Poor service overall.
- 5/5
great room and service
- 5/5
The French patisserie across the street is amazing! Ming helped us get just the room we needed and went out of her way to be sure we were happy with our room. The hotel is beautiful and the views from the top floor where we stayed were amazing! My wife said is was the best night's sleep she has ever gotten in a hotel. We will definitely be back.
- 5/5
Great staff , amazing room with a view
- 3/5
The room service/hotel staff fell short. Big time. Took 1.5 hours to get more towels because they only gave us one hand towel to begin with. Room service didn’t show up the first day (you have to request in advance which we did) and when they did show up they did a minimum job. They took our soap but don’t leave a new one and they never put more coffee, coffee cups, etc. everything had to be requested and they took hours to get it to you. So annoying.
- 5/5
Everything was great, will be coming again!
- 5/5
Clean well spaced out room
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Excellent
- 4/5
Thank you
- 5/5
Great service and spacious rooms
- 3/5
Rooms are very loud due to the freeway and the air-conditioning
- 3/5
Rooms and bathrooms were not well kept. Had to change room once because it was dirty. I sucked it up with the second room.
- 5/5
Didn't try the breakfast
- 5/5
Spotlessly clean, great staff, excellent beds. The location couldn’t be better. The only criticism I have is the parking garage - taking a large vehicle in (and out) is a challenge because of tight corners and extremely narrow ramps.
- 5/5
Cleanliness and staff were exceptional!
- 4/5
I just stayed overnight this weekend. The remodeling is done and the interior is nice for both the lobby and room. I like to give a shout out to Ming (trainee I believe) at the service desk. She took her time to help me resolve a non-hotel related problem and fixed one of my headaches for the trip. The staff ensured that our stay was comfortable with quick and courteous service. Check in/out was speedy and the site is right next to Little Italy, making it very easy to find a decent restaurants. Special mention: if you're parking, make sure your vehicle is smaller than a mid-size SUV. Parking is narrow like other guests have mentioned. Overall a great experience and would return on my next San Diego visit.
- 5/5
Great place to stay
- 5/5
Clean room and friendly staff. Great views for the city.
- 5/5
It smelled so good in the entire hotel
- 5/5
Delicious breakfast Courteous staff
- 3/5
There was a lot of noise so I guess the walls and windows were thin. I was trying to wind down after a very long day of traveling and I heard loud partying almost as if they were on my balcony. The ice machine in the 19th floor didn't work. The last thing I wanted to do was get in the elevator visiting each floor until I found an operational ice machine. I finally called the front desk and a nice gentleman got some for me. But the thing that really irritated me was being charged $40 for parking. I was literally there for 10 hours. The hotel wasn't cheap but adding a $40 extra fee to park seemed a little extreme. And don't even get me started on the ramp to get to the parking levels. It was obnoxiously narrow to the extent I had to backup so many times just to avoid hitting the walls.
- 5/5
Perfect location and beautiful hotel.
- 5/5
Good Mediterranean food for dinner
- 5/5
The property is newly renovated and looks amazing! The gym and pool area are great and the views are spectacular!
- 5/5
Clean rooms, friendly staff
- 5/5
Be aware that parking is a parking garage on several floors and that the passage in and out is very narrow so large vehicles should be avoided. There is no ice machine on floor 6. Go to the higher floors for ice.
- 4/5
Non aplicable on the breakfast
- 5/5
The staff was very nice and the room was clean. We enjoyed or stay.
- 5/5
Great location. Little Italy is the place to be in S.D. Very nice accommodations. Garage ramps are a tight squeeze.
- 3/5
Check in was easy. Charge for parking was expensive. Room was lovely with everything you need and very comfortable. We were on the top floor (22) and had a nice view of the airport and city lights. Unfortunately, the noise from traffic in the freeway kept us uo or disturbed all night. Televisions seevice is also lacking
- 5/5
Excellent, perfect location, modern and upgraded
- 5/5
Room spacious and comfortable Walking distance to Little Italy and the Pier Will definitely stay there again
- 4/5
Muy bien todo, sólo no dan crema corporal.
- 5/5
clean room, good view
- 5/5
Hotel was great, no regrets at all.
- 5/5
It was so convenient to walk down to Little Italy from the hotel.plus the rooms were spacious and clean .My family and I really enjoyed our time at this hotel.
- 4/5
After checking out, I contacted the hotel and was informed that no items were found in the room. This is very concerning, as both jackets were definitely left in the closet and should have been turned in by housekeeping. I kindly request that you conduct a thorough search and follow up with the housekeeping staff who serviced the room. These items are important to me, and I expect that they be located or an explanation be provided.
- 5/5
We really enjoyed our stay at Courtyard Marriot in Little Italy. Great location for walking to foreshore and all the amazing restaurants.
- 5/5
Ipved it! Beautiful view and well designed facility.
- 5/5
The room was very about and beyond
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
Nice room!
- 5/5
Everyonevwas good.
- 5/5
Nice staff and clean room
- 5/5
Great
- 3/5
No one to give directions or help at parking area. Also they never answered when you call from room to get towels.luckily the cleaning lady In the hall ways gave us towels on request. But had a nice view and a balcony from room which was enjoyable!
- 4/5
Had a great time
- 5/5
The only downside was that the entrance to parking garage was so narrow that we almost scratched our car on the way out. Also, the shower drain was so bad and we reported about it at check out.
- 5/5
It was great
- 5/5
It was a nice place to stay at
- 4/5
The sheets had a couple of blood stains and the windows were left open which resulted in having a couple spiders inside the room. But the room is spacious and a good deal. Nice view of the city though.
- 5/5
- 3/5
Could hear everyone and everything around us. The tub still had sand in it from previous guests. The parking garage had the most narrow entrance and exit ramps, in a minivan and had a hard time maneuvering. Otherwise it was a good location and close to Balboa Park
- 5/5
Bringing extra pillows and king bed was an extra nice touch
- 4/5
The air conditioning was noisy
- 5/5
The place was clean and the staff friendly and took good care of me.
- 5/5
Clean room and comfortable beds. Pillows were too flat but otherwise good hotel and worth the price. We got a balcony room, the view was ok.
- 5/5
Excelente servicio
- 5/5
I always have great stay here
- 2/5
The bed was just ok. Could feel the mattress springs. The noise coming from the planes and the freeway was so bad that I felt the runway was in my room. Don’t sleep a wink. Then the false fire alarm went off at 7am. I would not recommend this hotel in this particular location.
- 5/5
Amazing hotel great staff
- 5/5
Nice clean room with nice balcony. Nice neighborhood. Friendly staff.
- 5/5
You for a good experience.
- 5/5
Clean and nice room, a bit noisy when on highway and airport side
- 5/5
The staff member that checked us in was amazing!
- 3/5
The room could’ve used a little more cleaning in the bathroom the bathroom light switch were pretty dirty. There was hair around the toilet area on the floor by the bathtub area. The 4 AM alarm system that cost everybody to evacuate their rooms was a inconvenience. The elevators were very slow, and sometimes will never show up to the floor. Hotel staff in lobby area were excellent and gave amazing customer service.
- 4/5
The staff service was also good but there was just a little something missing in the overall vibe to give it a full five stars.
- 2/5
Lo unico destacable es que todos los empleados son muy amables y dan muy buen servicio.
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 5/5
Good Location, Clean Rooms, Friendly and Helpful Staff. Bertha at the front desk was awesome!! Very nice and welcoming.
- 2/5
Place is under construction. We did get a newly updated room which was great with one exception - the bed frames are square and made of wood. They extend well beyond the mattress which made for perfect shin bruises from running into it!
- 5/5
The front desk staff was amazing, and so the employees I interacted with.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean, new. Comfortable room.
- 4/5
Great stay and centrally located yet away from heavy foot taffic. Older building so parking structure is tight. Well appointed. Restaurant and bar is amazing. Must try. Friendly staff.
- 2/5
It lacked basic amenities. There is no soap in the bathroom prices for food and drinks were expensive.
- 5/5
Had a nice stay..enjoyed it so much!❤️
- 1/5
Woke up with dozens of bed bug bites , will not be staying at this property again. Marriott has always held a high standard in cleanliness and comfort. Although the stay started off okay , it was not worth the consequences.
- 5/5
El servicio!! Sin duda alguna la ubicación muy recomendable.. al restaurante le falta más variedad en todo pero es bueno
- 4/5
Staff was super friendly
- 5/5
Me parece un atención personalizada, gente muy amable.
- 4/5
The staff were friendly and attentive, and the location was convenient for exploring the area. Overall, a pleasant experience.
- 5/5
A nice clean modern Hotel in the middle of everything!. Very convenient to Little Italy restaurants and Gaslamp nightlife. Room was nicely appropriated and the renovation is almost complete we enjoyed the bar and the food that we had at the restaurant in the hotel. Would definitely stay there again when we go to San Diego!
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel .
- 4/5
nice
- 5/5
Balcony
- 3/5
PARKING LOT A LIL TOOOOOO TIGHT
- 5/5
Awesome, location and staff
- 5/5
Great location! Hotel was clean and staff friendly. 5th floor pool is quiet and has nice views. Perfect for walking around Little Italy. Amazing Saturday Farmer’s Market.
- 5/5
We had just gotten off the cruise ship at 9am. They allowed us an early check in. The next day we had a very late flight and we were allowed a late checkout. It was very much appreciated.
- 5/5
Great staff with exceptionally clean rooms and the hotel was close to all of the amenities in the area! I would definitely stay again next time I am in San Diego!
- 4/5
Clean room, expensive breakfast ($35.00) (mediterranean breakfast plus coffee)
- 5/5
Everything was perfect
- 4/5
Was Amazing
- 5/5
Great place
- 3/5
The room it’s ok no mini fridge like they offer breakfast available its very expensive
- 2/5
One working elevator for the whole property, parking was terrible and extra to stay overnight.
- 5/5
Room was immaculate, beds were so comfortable, perfect location to walk to coffee, restaurants! Beautiful hotel to just hang out in the lobby also. Staff was always super helpful and friendly. We stay here every time we visit San Diego.
- 4/5
Parking lot entrance and exit are very narrow and not easy to park. At night there are a lot of noisy cars and sirens going on
- 5/5
We had the best quick, one night stay in Little Italy. Walking distance to restaurants on India and steps (half a block) to farmers market on Saturday!
- 5/5
Clean, comfortable and quiet room with an amazing city view. The open balconies are a nice touch to enjoy the beautiful San Diego weather. The staff were super friendly and very helpful. Unfortunately some of the services were unavailable during my stay (laundry, shuttle) but the location, comfort, and staff more than made up for it. 10/10 would stay here again.
- 5/5
Staff is amazing 3 time staying here for a reason really. Great place
- 5/5
Balcony view and healthy breakfast! Excellent customer service!
- 5/5
Very nice. Great service.
- 3/5
i hate the parking lot. its expensive and really hard to park. very tight space that can potentially damage your car.
- 5/5
Is breakfast included?
- 3/5
The garage was a nightmare and almost ruined my rental car so I ended up paying for the laz parking across the st on Union. Use spothero it’ll be cheaper.
- 5/5
The hotel room was great, I enjoyed having a balcony and a mini fridge. Loved the smart tv and also loved being able to use a cart for my luggage
- 5/5
Thank you
- 5/5
Remodeled. Good place
- 5/5
Nice atmosphere
- 5/5
Staff were most welcoming in particular Lillian on the reception desk and the young lady serving at breakfast.
- 5/5
It was nice
- 2/5
I was disappointed. The hotel is directly over the freeway and the windows aren’t very sound proof as most hotels. It was very loud. I asked if I could upgrade (and willing to pay) for a quieter room. They said they were at capacity but there seemed to be rooms available online. I’m wondering if they just don’t have any rooms that are quiet. I wouldn’t stay here if you need a good sleep.
- 1/5
Horrible experience….
- 4/5
It was pretty good overall, except I spent my entire stay going to other floors to get ice because there was never ice on my floor, and only two of the staff helped me when I brought it up, by either getting me ice from the kitchen or sending me a bag of ice, but I gave up and went to get the ice myself.
- 3/5
Good location nice and clean
- 5/5
Everything was so clean my family had a great time at this property!
- 5/5
Amazing staff! From front desk to dinning and bar area! Safe area, walking distance to restaurants
- 5/5
Great location for a family trip with great options to walk down to the park by the Harbor and little Italy.
- 5/5
Me encantó la vista .!!
- 5/5
Nice place with plenty of places in walking distance
- 5/5
Excellent location
- 2/5
Unpleasant
- 4/5
Clean, modernized. Parking garage spaces too small ; entry and exit too tight, hard to avoid hitting walls. $40 per day for parking is a rip off.
- 2/5
Paying $40 for parking was crazy.
- 5/5
Lovely hotel for a short stay with lots of shops and restaurants nearby
- 5/5
excellent staff, room, and location. the elevator key reader is a bit funky; everything else was excellent. will stay again.
- 2/5
The elevator situation is horrible. You need to wait at least 10-15 minutes, not because there’s a line of people waiting, but because that’s just how long it takes for elevators to get to the floor you’re on. It was insane. There are only 22 floors. I would never stay here again simply because of how bad the elevators were.
- 4/5
Very nice just elevator were a long wait
- 3/5
Unfortunately i did not get a balcany as advertised. I was disappointed. The breakfast was your basic bagel & coffee
- 5/5
Great location and hotel! Loved my stay
- 5/5
Needs more breakfast options
- 5/5
Excellent location, close to many restaurants and great view from the balcony
- 1/5
No the view was ok, terrible parking noise bed is way uncomfortable we are actually leaving it's midnight but I'd rather drive home then stay in this uncomfortable spot
- 5/5
Rooms were clean and quiet. Hotel staff was nice. The elevators took a long time during peak times (like 10 mins) so leave early if necessary. The parking structure is also a bit scary with the narrow spaces
- 4/5
The view was of the airport and north end of City. It was okay. The hotel was under construction on the main floor which caused a lot of noise in the lobby area, it made the lounge downstairs unusable during daylight hours. Other than that it was a good place to stay in a great neighborhood. Very close to Farmers Market held on Wednesdays and Saturdays. I would stay there again.
- 4/5
Good place
- 3/5
It was a clean room and clean hotel. They are obviously remodeling. We could hear the traffic and planes from our room and the air conditioner would make a terrifying noise each time it kicked on.
- 5/5
Clean room clean bathroom staff was friendly. Wi-Fi worked easily. I would definitely book again.
- 1/5
Requested adjoining rooms at booking. The hotel did not respond and were unable to accommodate the request at booking. Hotel lobby under renovation so the "amenities" were limited extremely.
- 5/5
was a great stay!
- 5/5
Very nice close to things that I needed to get to
- 3/5
Pets were not allowed
- 1/5
I have stayed in hotels near interstate highways before, but it doesn't usually sound like you are sleeping on the highway. I don't usually have trouble sleeping, but I didn't sleep at all last night. I could hear every passing car, truck and motorcycle, as well as emergency vehicle sirens on two occasions. If you want to use your hotel to sleep, choose elsewhere.
- 2/5
Terribly loud with freeway traffic noise
- 4/5
After the construction is finished, I will be returning for another visit. All the things I didn't quite like were either temporary or easily fixed things. Staff was 10/10!
- 5/5
Loved it
- 1/5
Parking was absolutely terrible
- 5/5
Remodeling the hotel but it’s looks way better than last time I was here. Definitely be back
- 5/5
Very clean, beautiful views.
- 4/5
Super close to events. Free grab and go breakfast was good. Lovely pool area. My only issue was the parking lot gets filled up quick. Had a great trip.
- 3/5
Room was clean and quiet. The beverage cooler did not work. When we called for help on first night of the day stay, we got no help. It was never repaired or replaced. The maintenance guy said he’d be back in 15-20 minutes but never returned.
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
Loved this location.
- 3/5
Undergoing renovations. No pool or bar access. Parking was hard.
- 5/5
The hotel is being renovated but it was clean and quiet for the most part. The front desk was very polite. My room was clean and I loved the view from my room. I would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Everything is clean even though it’s under construction. The rooms seem to be brand new. Smells like brand new carpet.
- 3/5
.
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 5/5
Very good
- 3/5
Tge air conditioning unit was very loud every time it came on and they are under construction. We had to have the sheets from both beds changed upon arrival due to stains. Aside from those concerning items we enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
Perfection
- 4/5
I extended my booking through Expedia after the hotel staff told me I could do so and keep the same room. Later, I was called and told I would be moved to a different room, even though I was guaranteed otherwise. When I asked which room I’d be moved into, the staff couldn’t answer and then hung up on me. This is unacceptable. I would like either: 1. A full refund of my extension through Expedia, OR 2. Written confirmation that I can stay in my original room as promised. Please escalate this issue to a supervisor immediately and provide a resolution. My booking number is Thank you.
- 5/5
Customer service was amazing! Made my stay simple and seamless. Would definitely recommend staying here and will be staying here again!
- 3/5
The hotel was under renovation. This was not known when making the reservation. Hotel amenities were not open at the time. Hotel had made arrangements for access to a gym off property. Front desk seemed to have many tasks that seemed to take precedence over customers waiting in line. Wait lines were longer than other hotels.
- 5/5
The property was nice & clean. Parking can get filled but there’s a lot next door, some free parking as well if you get lucky & meter parking
- 3/5
The parking is terrible. You almost hit the wall every turn. It’s noisy as hell. Lots of people partying in the rooms next to you beautiful views won’t be staying here again.
- 4/5
The room was nice. There was plenty of places to eat close by. The parking garage was dark and difficult. Water pressure was pretty bad. The construction made the place not as appealing
- 4/5
Love the property. The only thing I had an issue with was there was no hot water in the shower
- 1/5
Parking lot is a nightmare, broke one of my mirrors trying to squeeze through the tunnels that led to the other floors. Who designed this lot? Only a COMPLETE MORON could’ve done this, a total joke.
- 4/5
I stay for 3nights staff was so nice they let me check in at 10am and bump me up to a higher floor 20 with amazing views of the city and harbored. They are still remodeling the elevator area and the kitchen so they didn't have a full buffet breakfast yet. Just Coffee, beagles and fruit but right outside next block their is like so many coffee shops and the food is amazing. I tried them all I highly recommend. For some odd reason the Uber didn't want work for pick up at the front of the hotel, so it worked way better if I did the coffee shop pick up their. Just a heads up and what worked for me, if you get an uber around 4-5pm expect to pay double rush hour.
- 5/5
Clean room and great location!
- 5/5
The hotel is under construction but it was still a beautiful hotel. Beds were comfortable, very clean, friendly staff. They even gave complimentary charcuterie cups, sparkling wine and lemonade. My only complaint is the parking is 40$ a night and it's very narrow. Other than that it was a great stay.
- 4/5
Had a wedding to go to in the area so it was convenient. Building is under construction so it was noisy. The ice machine on the 12 floor did not work. Notified front desk but nothing was done. A/c in room was very noisy when it came on, notified them but nothing was done about it. The hot water in the shower took 5-7 minutes to get hot. Hopefully with the renovation going on all the above will be fixed. I'm glad I didn't pay full price for my stay.

hotel didn’t provide basic amenities and when asked for more I was asked why i did not call. (the hotel phone didn’t work). i was nearly checking out and didn’t even bother too much because I had places to be, But over all, worst hotel experience, (I travel often).

Modern, clean, and comfortable rooms with excellent service. Fantastic location near Little Italy and downtown, plus a spacious on-site parking garage. Highly recommend.

continental breakfast was very inadequate

Had a good view with balcony. Room was new and clean. Lobby was under construction.

I was not informed about the major construction going on on-site during my visit. I was looking forward to a workout and then relaxing at the pool, but they were closed. The smell was powerful throughout the hotel. The VERY loud construction was two doors down from my room during the day and started at 7:52 am! The toilet bubbled up loudly at 3:00 am and woke me up both nights. The hotel offered a "light" breakfast to make up for any inconvenience. Unfortunately, they did not consider visitors with dairy or gluten allergies. The hotel charged $40 a night, even though it was difficult to park on the street because of the hotel's construction. I was incredibly disappointed with my stay.

Hotel is under renovation. Expect to wait for elevators and stop at 4-6 floors to pick up guests at high peak times. We were assigned a room upon check in, and when we used key card, the door was hard to open (had to push the door a few times). Once we entered the room, we could not get out. Door was jammed, had to pull the door a few times to open it (not good for safety reasons). We were assigned another room, and in middle of night, found water around the base of the toilet. Toilet had a slow leak; you wouldn't notice right away until it formed a slippery puddle in the middle of the night. So we requested another room, and this time, it was suitable to us, and even seemed quieter as it faced the city side, rather than the freeway. All was ok though we had trouble with our key card every time we went up to our room. We found that holding the key card the whole time on the elevator sensor, activated our designated floor. Overall our stay was just ok. Staff was accommodating and understanding to our requests. Location is perfect if you want to visit the farmer's market on Saturday.

remodeled so it's new and very clean. at check in they did not make me aware that they charge $40 per day for parking. and there is an odd $10 charge on my card. Not sure for what??

The hotel in under construction and the pics are of the finished product and they are far from completion. Parking is not free and their free (nothing is free) breakfast is coffee and pastries. The elevators were slow and only 2 of 4 were working. Way too expensive for its offering.

10/10 for me and the food around was good
- 4/5
Hotel overall was great but being charged for parking overnight even tho you are a guest at the hotel is ridiculous.. parking for guest should be free!

While the hotel itself was nice and clean and at a convenient location near the airport, but the real problem was the noise. The room next door blasted loud music and created constant noise from around 11:00pm until 3:30am. I had to call the front desk three different times, requesting that they send security to check and confirm the source. All they did was say they would call the room, but nothing improved. I barely got any sleep and left exhausted. For the price, this kind of service and lack of enforcement is unacceptable. I will not be returning.

Wonderful staff and excellent room! I will be coming back.
- 5/5
Hotel is beautiful and very clean . The staff were excellent and friendly and helpful. My only suggestion is that they do more for the breakfast in the morning . Just having bagels and danishes is not a very healthy option .
- 3/5
Property is under renovation seems like it will look better when it’s all complete but in a construction zone at the moment , rooms are nice but loud due to the freeway being near by and the airport. Room didn’t have black out curtains only shear so we woke up at the crack of dawn . Fine for the night
- 5/5
Pet friendly and such incredible staff. Going on a friday night was perfect as we got to wake up and walk to the little italy farmers market. Cant wait to stay here again
- 3/5
Hotel location and rooms were nice. However, they were remodeling during our stay. So, the pool and food services were unavailable. I really wished it was stated beforehand, I would have chosen a different hotel. The pool was a feature that we were looking forward to.

I loves the staff. Very nice, accommodating to early check in. Remodeling in place, some noise during the day, but quiet at night.
- 5/5
Great hotel, great views from balcony, great staff!!
- 1/5
No pool available and gym you have to go down the street . Free breakfast is a joke pay parking and parking is so narrow I’m sure people have scratch or damaged cars
- 3/5
Walking distance to Little Italy and Bay Area
- 5/5
Very clean modern. Getting renovated but no loud noise and great location. It’s my ‘go-to’ when in Little Italy .
- 3/5
Upset that I wasn’t notified that the hotel would be under construction. Not all the amenities were available.
- 1/5
I had a horrible stay & experience. The room next door was literally having a party & screaming all night long until around 4am. I called guest services 3 different times. 1am, 2am & 3am. They said they’d send security to check on them & it was almost like the girl just got louder each time. We didn’t sleep until 4am & then at 8am construction started on a Saturday morning with no where on the website or booking confirmation indicating that there would be construction. Complained to the front desk about our stay & they could only comp us for the parking, which hasn’t even been done. I’d never stay again.

If I would have known pool area closed gym closed, before someone telling me at check in I would not have booked this hotel, several signs states no smoking, our entire floor smelled like weed and cigarettes, 7, parking garage was a joke , people parking in no parking areas very hard to maneuver around, no hot breakfast, definitely waste of money and time
- 2/5
Hotel was under major renovations.. no amenities that were supposed go along with my booking. No houskeeping services, complimentary breakfast was a joke. Bagels, yogurts and a few pieces of fruit that had seen better days. The parking garage is treacherous and worse by people parking wherever they want (not in parking spaces) and nightly parking fee expensive. All in all the stay was really unsatisfactory and I can not recommend this place. Find another hotel in the district there are plenty of better options.
- 4/5
Everything is great about hotel room and service. Parking garage is VERY narrow! It is the only thing that will push me away to come back….
- 5/5
Convenient location. Clean and centralized close to restaurants
- 5/5
Like the proximity to restaurants. Construction started at 8am. No water offered as a marriott platinum member.
- 2/5
The hotel is very pretty, but it would’ve been nice to know that they were under construction. None of the amenities that they have on their site was available. Elevators did not work. For the price I would have liked to gotten some of my money back. We were very disappointed for our 35th anniversary.
- 1/5
Also I did not know parking structure is under construction too so driving up the ramp is so narrow not much space. We had just purchased a new vehicle and it had left us with major dents to the small compact narrow driveway ramp. I would not recommend this hotel. Very disappointed

Great stay!

It's not a 4 star hotel especially not in its current conditions of construction.
- 5/5
Great location and clean hotel!

nice area

Great spot in downtown San Diego.

Other than the fact the signage says Courtyard By Marriott and we drove around the block 2 times looking for The Little Italy, we had to walk inside and ask the front Desk is this the Little Italy!!! The Marriott should put out a Sandwhich Board that states new ownership now the Courtyard, saw several people walking around aimlessly and spoke to several Guest they had the same issues

Everything was great except the room was hot. ( For us ) .
- 3/5
Not enough Parking space had to Pay a fee of 40.00
- 4/5
Nice hotel …only inconvenience was construction at the time of my stay
- 3/5
lots of construction and no parking on weekends and they still wanna charge you
- 4/5
I didn’t like it was under construction.
- 4/5
When the renovations are done this place will be really nice. Great location! Rooms could use some better cleaning. I would stay here again!

5 mins away fro gaslamp and old town. Walking distance to all the great restaurants in little Italy. Farmers market right next to the hotel!

Everything was great! Definitely recommend

Only downside was parking garage was narrow

I have so many things to say. I booked my reservation on June 29th. By time I got to the hotel (August 9th), there were so many changes made without any prior notices. The entire building was/is under construction. The front entrance is now on the side of the building, so uber pickup was atrocious. And inside they’re promoting all of their amenities, however none of them were available. There was no gym, no pool, no conference room… on top of all of that, the Wi-Fi was not working, so I had to Uber to the library every day to work. The lobby was overcrowded during different periods of the day because that was literally the only place open and available to guests at the time, which was also under constructio. Hallways were unfinished. And you could hear hammering and drilling during the morning time from your room! The random fire alarm tests affected my ability to work from inside of my hotel room. And the list goes on… since then, they have taken down all of their amenity photos and previous photos of what the hotel rooms looked like. Everything is a rendered photo currently. I can tell that when they’re done with the renovations, the place will look great, however, this was such a letdown and poor experience. When I spoke to the front desk about it, the lady advise that she would get in touch with Expedia to update their listing. It’s updated now, however, I wish that notices to upcoming reservations were made to guests. This way I would’ve had time to find another hotel.

Excellent Service
- 3/5
Didnt like that I had to ask for room to be cleaned. Parking garage was hard to navigate through, tight ramps. The ciew was really nice and i liked how close it was to shops and restaurants. This area seemed to be safe and clean.
- 5/5
Loving the renovations so far! The property looks much more updated already. The location is honestly perfect, so many things are a walkable distance.
- 4/5
New and clean building. Clean rooms. Excellent area. Very noisy lobby as there was active construction going on at the time of our visit. Not enough elevators for the occupancy resulting in long wait time. Nice and accommodating staff.
- 4/5
Hotel is in a great location! Service is great ! The only downfall is the elevator takes way too long!! Parking lot is bad!! Other than that it was wonderful!!
- 5/5
Awesome

The Little Italy Hotel is now the Courtyard Marriott, still transforming it, front entrance is now on Union street, not Front Street. Marriott’s are wonderful hotels!
- 5/5
Beautiful views from balcony
- 5/5
The property was clean and close to shopping and dining options. The view from the balcony is amazing!! The parking garage and especially driving up the levels could be better. Overall, had a wonderful stay.
- 5/5
pretty good lwk
- 5/5
The remodeling is beautiful, however our room had a water leak at the top of toilet. I waa there for 1 night, it was reported when i checked our but there was no incentive offered or apology. Perhaps a discount from the 1 night stay or credit for future booking.
