This hotel was in a great location for my work event. The hotel was very clean and maintained. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.

How accommodating the staff was and how helpful they were for any compensation i could receive by booking with them instead of third party. I am thankful this place has rooms that are not affected with mold contamination. This is why we return to the hotel! Thank you. That is didnt book strait with them and missed out a rate change.

Clean room nice staff and over all cleanliness

Super clean room and building overall. Staff was super friendly. Security personal on property at night. We stayed with two small children. Will absolutely stay again and be our go to lodging for us when we’re in town.

The shower door did not connect therefore causing water to be spilling onto the floor. The fridge in the room also did not work.

We checked in early without an up charge. Front desk was welcoming and efficient. The room was clean and good size. Bathroom clean with plenty of towels. I would stay there again.

We had a great stay! We were there to visit the San Diego Zoo and Sea World. Both places were just a 15 minute drive. The hotel is in a quiet and safe neighborhood, more on the outskirts and not in a centrally located area but we were ok with that. Everything we needed/wanted was just a short drive away. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The rooms were a good size and very clean.

It is clean and in a safe area

Seems like a decent renovation was done since the old Holiday Inn location. Staff was pleasant and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable.

Friendly staff. Clean comfortable rooms. Nice hot tub and pool. Okay food at the restaurant, ordered take away a couple times and the food was very hot and satisfying, but the wait time was very very long. Wish the hotel provided free bottled water in the rooms every night too.

Room was very nice enjoyed that it was an adjoining room to my son’s room. He was able to check in on my with ease.

Secondly, their dining service is very slow. The workers moved at a very slow and leisurely pace. Overall, location was great, room and hotel is clean and feels safe, and I’ll still book there again if I decide to go back to the air show next year.

Hotel staff was friendly, check-in was quick and easy, room was clean with plenty of towels, hotel lobby had lots of places to sit, relax & enjoy an evening snack & cocktail.

Ample parking..it was especially handy for us, being only 5 minutes from the fields where we had our tournament. About 20 minutes from thenairport, about the same to the Gaslamp District where we had din er. Good location, but not in the middle of everything, so reasonably quiet.

After paying $300 a night, breakfast was not included but you can purchase a ticket for $18 for adults and $15 for kids. The water to the shower would have to be running for 7 minutes to warm up and it would change temperatures through out the shower.

I like this property very much. I came with my 2 adult daughters to have a girls trip in San Diego. I come from the LA area so it was very convenient to stay on the outskirts of San Diego. The room was clean and very comfortable. I paid extra for the continental breakfast and it was not good. I won’t be doing that again but I will stay again. Staff was friendly and parking was very easy.

Check-in was quick. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were spacious. The beds and pillows were very comfy! Lots of dining options less than 10 minutes away. We will definitely stay here again in the future

Was looking for a place to stay last minute and luckily they had a room available for us.

My room is kind of noisy

For a 3 star hotel, this place exceeded our expectations. Very clean and tidy place with great staff. The bistro had variety of food and they were very delicious!! Those hard working ladies in the bistro were doing an amazing job cooking restaurant style meals!! We would definitely stay again in this place if we are visiting San Diego.

How simple is it to make a wake up call? I stopped by the front desk AND called later too. NEVER got the call.

WOW - TOP MARKS ALL AROUND! I typically do not leave reviews but every once in a while I'm just blown away by an experience and this is one of those times. First of all, everyone was extremely friendly and service was excellent. The hotel over was SPOTLESS, I have never had such a pristine clean room/hallway/lobby etc. THE most incredible surprise was the food, we just had breakfast and I regret not getting lunch or dinner the day before. The breakfast was super fresh, healthy, and FLAVORFUL! We ordered the breakfast bowl and wow. Close to a lot of things, we stayed here to go to the CIVIC Center for a show and visit family. Great experience - will likely make this place a go-to in the future.

The AC on the room assigned (225) was very loud, so I request another room, the staff was great they change me to another room (203) on the same floor and give free snack for the inconvenience. So far so good… till the people on the next room (205) start making a lot of noise at 3am, non stoping laugh and hi voice tone; I waited 15 min thinking they will settle down, but they didn’t. I report the issue to front desk but the problem persisted, I call again to front desk, and never answer the phone…. The noise went away 2hrs later (5:am). The connecting door between the rooms didn’t help at all with the noise problem. I know the hotel can’t prevent this to happen, but the performance of the Night Shift of the front desk was very disappointed. My wife and I, could sleep during this period of time, and felt frustrated to not be able to do more o insist over the phone or going down stairs to the front desk, because of my 2 kids, they manage to sleep so we decide not to make a scene or took this issue further.

I’ve stayed here twice and it’s a very nice hotel. Pretty quiet area at night and the rooms are apparently recently renovated; very clean and modern, as per the usual Marriott-renovated property.

I like this hotel. I have been here a few time before but the first time since Marriott took over. It got remodeled completely and it’s really clean and nice. This hotel is really close to the gym where our tournament is happening every here at this time. The only think was bothering us, the noise from the next door that I had to notify the front desk. Overall my experience was great!!!

My stay was enjoyable. Beds are comfortable, room was spacious, and room was well lit. My only issues were that the desk is just below the tv and it’s distracting and the outside of the toilet was little dirty.

Negative : Room price, pricing of breakfast and any other incidentals that are normally included at business lodging, no maid service along with the expectation that we reuse wash cloths and towels.

We needed a hotel for a quick overnight stay. Check in was very fast, staff friendly and room was clean and quiet. We didn’t use them but bar area and pool looked very nice. Would stay again if in the area.

This property was clean and felt safe. The staff was all so friendly and so helpful. The room was very nice and clean and comfy. The only problem I had was the AC units was a tad loud which I can deal with but the traffic noise next to the freeway from our room was so loud. They could invest in better windows to hide the noise. Maybe a room not facing the freeway I would advise.

Rooms air conditioning fan start ing making a loud noise at 230 am and when i notified the lobby, they informed me that since i booked through orbitz and not directly through them, they they were unable to do anything for me but offer a late checkout

I love holiday inn and this one was the best. I met so many people on my floor. Nothing but active duty and they were so friendly to me. The staff on the other hand, wasn’t that friendly and was not helpful at all, which saddens me because I enjoy staying at holiday inn. Especially the express location in Mira Mesa blvd. The staff at the Miramar location needs to work on their customer skills. Lacking in that department

I felt unsafe, generally. They are renovating the place; with plasters all over. It was quite eerie. The outlets in the bathroom (Room 205) were not working. The hair dryer wasn't working either.

I really enjoyed the room. It was very quiet, the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The food was very good.
