Breakfast was great! Parking was very easy. Check-in took a while since there was only one person behind the desk and 3-4 people trying to check in at the same time…hoping for better staffing in the future considering check in is at 3:00pm, you would think they would anticipate for that and staff accordingly!!

This is one of the worst experiences I’ve had lately staying with hotels. Me and my family were treated poorly staff did not care about our needs due to booking through a third party. We arrived around 6pm and greeted by Amy. After being in our room for two hours I detected ants in the bathroom and a spider on the wall of the room. When we approached Amy she advised she was sold out she couldn’t move us .. we paid over 200 dollars for one night which I expect more from a property at this rate. I asked Amy how we can be accolades for the experience or what can be done she advised she can send someone down to check it out. It took the gentleman so long to come the spider jumped off the wall and I couldn’t locate it . I then decided to check out due to be uncomfortable and basically them just using raid as a spray with my young children. Amy who had an attitude told me I’ll never talk to a manager reach out to Expedia she doesn’t have my money no concern no responsibility.. nothing if customer service was better I may have worked with property but based on her tone compassion it made the entire situation worse. I would never stay here again.. and I wouldn’t recommend to anyone,

Very clean rooms, and the staff was super friendly. The hotel's proximity to the expressway and restaurants was great. Everything I needed was within a short drive. Parking was kind of congested at night. Other than that, everything else was perfect.

Just needed one night’s rest for a short trip to visit friends. Slept comfortably and the shower worked great. Really friendly front desk lady. Coffee and breakfast available was a plus. Easy location for getting on and off the highway with plenty of places to eat and shop nearby.

Great stay! Rooms are clean and quiet, and the free breakfast is a nice plus. The staff is very welcoming. It’s a very convenient area with a food court close by, making it easy to find good food. Parking is only $10/day, which is very reasonable. Easy access to traffic and local spots. Highly recommended!

Showers had no pressure, we stayed there for three nights and they don't even change our rooms or did anything with it

Breakfast was very good. Cheese omelets, pancakes, sausages, potatoes, fruit, muffins, bread, cereals, juices, etc. Very nice. The staff was super friendly. The hotel is cute. The parking kinda sucks because you are sharing space with another hotel right next door. Overall, worth the money.

Our stay at this hotel has been very good. The only issue we had was the parking. It shared parking with the next-door hotel. But other than that, the room was very clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was close to restaurants and right next to the freeway for easy highway access. Overall experience is great, and I will come back to this hotel for future stays.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. Mazier checked me in and let me know about the rewards program and all that the hotel had to offer. They had coffee and tea available at all times, the breakfast was fresh, and the rooms were very clean. The only disadvantage of this property in my opinion is the pool; the location does not seem conducive to a pool environment, so they may be better off without it. Overall, I would definitely stay here again.

Items were charged to my room without my knowledge or consent. Double check for charges during check out. They will not reverse any wrongful charges once you leave for fear of being audited on their end. This is what I was told when I called back to dispute a charge that I did make from their market. The lady I spoke with said I was better off disputing the charges with my credit card company. Mind you the charge was for $10.78. I was on a business trip and I do not use my company credit card for personal purchases. The hotel needs to implement a better system for adding any charges to a room.

Not much at this location The hotel is old, the rooms are small & had mold growing in the bathroom. The hairdryer didn't work & when we requested another 1 it didn't work either. We had down to get a new hairdryer & towels. Staff was trying to put away breakfast 30min before end time. It's in a dumpy part of town & parking is terrible. The larger hotel next door took most parking spots & we had to park behind the hotel next door all the way at the far end of the lot. Very disappointing.

The hotel seemed clean and a little outdated. which I guess is normal. My concern was the front desk staff who fail to communicate that we would be paying for parking. I'm not happy with the lack of communication.

The carpet is old and filthy. Old coffee stains on the carpet. The pool is not heated and needs to be cleaned. Lots of dead bugs.

Hotel was very nice and served as a central location to the sites we wanted to visit such as Torrey Pines, a LEGO Store and the Flower Fields. Also easy access to the San Diego Airport.

OUR STAY WAS VERY MEMORIBLE STAFF WAS VERY HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY, ENJOYED THE COMPLIMENTRY BREAKFAST WE WILL KEEP HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS ON OUR TRAVEL LIST.

Convenient

Once we arrived the ada room was still occupied by another guest. Son is a wheelchair user and the property moved us in the proper room the next day. I appreciate the offer to waive the parking fee because the room was being occupied. I really wish hotels would have more ada room with roll in showers/walk in. It would be a benefit for many travelers.

Overall a very simple hotel with all the basics we needed. Room was clean, pool, laundry, very friendly staff upon arrival. The breakfast had a good variety and when i asked to see ingredients due to an allergy they were very friendly. Not very sound proof though, we could hear every vehicle out our window and i could hear the shower running from the hall so i can only imagine how loud our kids were to the neighbors.

They overbooked the hotel and picked us to change hotels to the one right next door. Very disappointed since we were not notified until we got there. I guess we should be thankful that we had a room at all. Could have just said they were filled up and not honor our reservation. Just surprised, probably since we were only staying one night.

It’s definitely a decent place for the price and it’s right next to the freeway for easy access and stores and restaurants everywhere. I would recommend not using those sanitizer smelly rubber things you see inside of yarns inside of their heating and air conditioning units. The smell of the room reminded me of being in the bathroom.at a restaurant

We have stayed at this hotel many times; I rely on the hotel for general cleanliness, competent and helpful staff, very good coffee and a breakfast featuring a variety of food and drink. The location is perfect for us, as well.

I liked the location near my event The room was next to the elevator, ice machine, and some electrical maintenance room. Some machinery was working on and off while night. The bad was comfortable and room was good but I was not able to sleep much. :)) Second night I was tired enough and slept through this :).

Breakfast was delicious. Bacon was crisp, eggs were perfect and the Cinnabon was an unexpected treat. Love the varieties of juices, muffins, etc. plenty of fresh coffee and variety of teas. ? Can ‘t think of any negatives.

When I checked in at 8pm 12/30， the staff charged me $520 although my Expedia account showed $400. Without any explanation, I was urged to tap my card. When I asked my question about the charge amount, the staff was unhappy , asked me to cancel the payment first, then explained the charge with a straight face and asked me if I would Ike to cancel the reservation. I just wanted to understand the charges which is supposed to be explained by the hotel staff ahead of time. It was late and my kids were with me, I might way away if I was buy myself. The checking experience was not good. However, we like the room and the breakfast is not bad. I also got a chance to interact with other staff in the remaining days and it was good.

The front desk workers SUCKKKKK. The Indian man was annoyed that I dare ask for towels. Pretty sure he lied when he said the hotel was all out of towels one night. The Asian woman cannot spell and because of that could not confirm our reservation.

We had ants appears from a small hole in the shower and the best they did was give us a can of raid to spray. Parking is a huge inconvenience and incredibly limited for having 2 hotels on property. Being told to park in red lanes and move vehicles before 7am is completely unprofessional and risking a vehicle tow. Thermostat on A/C left alot to be desired.

We enjoyed our short stay. The staff were friendly. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was enjoyable. Our only issue was that parking was a problem. There seemed to be plenty of spaces, but when we returned from dinner on Saturday evening, every single space was full. Some people were parked in the red and by the lobby. We drove around for twenty minutes and were about to park at the Denny's next door, but we saw someone leaving and quickly grabbed that space. Not sure I want to go through that hassle again.

I liked the customer service I got from Maziar, he was so helpful. What I did not like, 1st they gave us room 107( not clean and noise from the highway ) the transferred to 412 (unbearably noise coming out of the bathroom fan, none stop plus outside car noise) then moved to 317 (bathroom fan was not working at all. Every time we took showers the entire mirror got covered by fog, blind was inoperable and missing the curtain( light was coming through in the night, iron was missing and asked the front desk- promised was never brought) all in all , such a nightmare experience for my family trip. Carpet looks dirty and smells. Never ever recommend this hotel. I wished I could canceled my reservation and went to a different hotel but unfortunately, I was unable to cancel because it was non refundable reservation

Everything is excellent

There is easy freeway access from the hotel, as well as dinning and shopping close by. It is a bit noisy due to freeway traffic, but otherwise comfortable. We would definitely stay again.

This was a simple hotel with all of the basic needs.

Booked a non-smoking room, but the room we got smelled smoke. Requested for a change of room, but the front desk lady wouldnt give us another room. Very unlikely room condition for an holiday Inn, not going back again.

The hotel is very old and outdated. The morning staff is friendly but the evening staff is not the best. The bathrooms are very outdated and have stains which I was told can not be removed. The bathrooms also dont have fans in them making the rooms smell musty. The carpet in the rooms and hotel have stains are are very dirty. I was told by a friend this hotel used to be a homeless shelter. At least they could of replaced things and properly clean it, after converting it back to a hotel. I have stayed at Holiday Inn Express Hotels in the past. By far this one is the worst hotel I have stayed at. Motel 8 is much better than this hotel.

The second night our room was on the first floor and was large, carpets were not clean, and the smell of mold was overwhelming. The hotel didn’t charge me a parking fee because I reported the mold smell upon check out. The hotel was sold out so we couldn’t move rooms. They said that mold is unacceptable at their property, but the first floor hallway walls had water damage. The wall paper was pealing off of the walls and water damage was clearly visible. Overall, the hotel was okay. They need to repair the water damage and mold, clean carpets and walls, and remove pink mold from showers.

Very organized breakfast area. Pancake machine was awesome. Coffee cups above average. We asked for additional items for our room with quick response. Our only complaint would be parking. Sometimes could not find a spot and parked two businesses away. Should not charge $10/ day. I paid $40 at the end of our stay and should have realized two nights i was not even in the parking lot.

The can focus on cleaning the floor carpet in the room a bit more. I didn’t wear shoes because I had a one year with me and I noticed mine and his feet were getting really dirty.

It was difficult to find where to park especially in evening hours. The fact that parking was an extra charge at the time of check in was not appreciated. Should've been included in total price or at least be informed about it when booking.

Parking is terri le. Chsrged 20.00 for parking and the parking spots are so small i couldnt get out of my vehicle. It wasnt a large vehicle.
