Benjamin at the front desk allowed for an early check in and included a room upgrade, Excellent customer service. the waiters and bartenders at each outlet were fabulous, I had every meal and beverage at the resort. not a thing

This property was the perfect getaway. Service was amazing, food was great, and the views were incredible. This is a great hidden gem!

For how expensive it is, I was extremely disappointed in the pool and outdated rooms. The pools were not maintained when we went, the bar was closed when it said was open from 11a-5p. Beautiful landscaping & gardens surrounding the golf course though. Looks like an amazing place to have an event, but didn’t give me the resort-style ambiance I was looking for (that’s just my opinion).

The outdoor dining area overlooking the greenery and golf course was one of my favorite parts, such a scenic and relaxing setting. Food and drinks were very good, and the overall ambiance felt sophisticated but comfortable. The rooms and common areas felt cozy and elegant, especially the fireplace lounge areas in the evening. Staff was friendly and professional throughout the stay. Overall, this hotel feels like a hidden oasis in Southern California — peaceful, romantic, and aesthetically beautiful. I would definitely come back for another relaxing escape. I like it all

Second time staying at the property and using the amenities and it was just perfect.

The wine and food festival was absolutely fantastic. I can’t wait until next year. The property is magical, all the staff is friendly, professional and very attentive.

The staff was friendly and welcoming. I was offered lavender lemonade and bottled water upon check in which was a refreshing treat after a long day. The room was clean and beds comfortable. The shower had aromatic shampoo, conditioner and body wash. It was a relaxing stay! We will be back.

Everything went very smooth as the front desk had our room ready and upgraded with keys in hand. RBI has very nice amenities and restaurants. The golf course is very enjoyable to play, as well!

Expansive property with several pools and garden areas that all feel private and secluded. Restaurants were excellent. Spa services were beyond great but the spa itself was small and in bad shape. The massage was full priced but the women’s spa area were extremely small and in need of a major upgrade. The shower was not clean and the hot tub didn’t work.

Not happy with the $40 a night to park my car. It’s price gouging, which is why I will not return to the hotel. Also, their restaurant was closed for a couple of weeks and I was not informed. We had to drive at least a half hour every night to find a good restaurant..

A beautiful location

This is basically a country club motel charging 5 star resort prices. Everything is a ridiculous upcharge down to the $10 miniature package of cookies and tinned water that appeared to be a gift in the room to the parking that was supposed to be included. The room was updated in the 1990s and the pool had a bar that was closed. It’s also difficult to navigate the hotel that had endless events blocking all the pathways. One of the event staff rudely escorted us out of an event we didn’t know we were walking into in our robes looking for the pool. The hotel staff were nice but don’t try to call the motel ahead of time because no one will answer.

Cute hotel grounds. Nice adult pool (didn’t see the other one). The rooms seemed outdated but still in good shape. The negative was our bedroom had some questionable splatter on the ceiling above one of the beds, and the nightstand surface and lamp base surface were incredibly dusty. Kinda grossed me out thinking where else did they skimp cleaning. Tried both on site restaurants and pool service. The food was excellent at all three places. We noted on the reservation that we were celebrating our birthdays but nothing happened, it would have been nice to receive a nice card or some small acknowledgment. Overall I’d return, but there are far better hotels in the San Diego area I’d prefer.

Wedding venue, no elevator for elderly guests, decor was jaded. Balconies totally unsafe for small children, solution was green plastic mesh, extremly ugly.

Pool area was nice. Bedrooms and hallways are a bit dated for the price per night but overall had a pleasant experience.

2. Charging $40 for overnight parking was unexpected (ended up parking on the street outside) 3. Rooms were poorly insulated--could hear people coughing and ***ing in the next room. 4. Not worth $400+/night

Overall great property. It is a bit older and need to be upgraded in certain rooms. I complained about being kept up all night from neighbors above me and no one addressed my inconvenience or concerns. I received only a text message empathizing with me but nothing occurred.

Outside patio was very nice in the morning for coffee and the evening sitting outside with a glass of wine. Room was very comfortable as was sleeping accommodations. Huge big screen for watching a baseball game was terrific. Grounds were beautiful. Check-in easy as was check-out. Valet parking was well worth it! Highly recommend.

5 stars all the way. This property is quite lovely, especially if you’re out all day at the San Diego Zoo and/or Safari Park. The grounds are relaxing, pools quite nice, restaurants OK but there are great options in town, rooms are true resort-level rooms. We LOVED it here. Came with our 13yo daughter.

There is an additional resort fee you pay when you arrive and a $100 per night deposit.

Wonderful old school luxury.

Everyone at the property are extremely nice. When we checked in we were not having a great afternoon and were full of frustrations from a different hotel. The front desk employee was so nice to us and turned our day around. He was accommodating and gave us the best possible room for our budget. The inns vibes were great as well. The grounds are well maintained and has such a classic look. We came during movie night and my kids had a great time watching the movie and swimming at the same time. We will be coming back.

The staff is splendid and the property is beautiful! We loved the tranquility walking around exploring the property. Food was amazing! Our suite was clean, beautiful and we had a great view of the golf course.

Great place a bit remote from downtown San Diego with a lot of green space and proximity to beautiful beaches and nature preserved spaces.

What a beautiful resort. We were stoked to find this little gem. The grounds are huge and very well kept. There was lots going on as it was the 4th of July weekend. If you're a golfer, check this place out. It was very kid-friendly. Next time I would ask to not be by the family pool as it was on the louder side. There's an adult pool and a pool specifically for spa clients. The Spa pool was gorgeous. Great but small gym. Will definitely go back.

When we chose "resort view" we had no idea our view would be of the parking lot/drop of zone. Very disappointing.

Blah! For a property with such potential, it is not run well. Front desk staff knowledge was poor, the pool was dirty, and the room was just okay. On the other hand, the dining options were great, and many of the staff were very friendly.

Beautiful hotel and beautiful rooms for 1970. This is not 1970. Everything was clean but dated. This property could stand some updating. Not planning to stay there again. I don’t mind the cost, but they could do better for the level they purport to be.

The room was very modern and comfortable. The restaurant food was excellent. The front desk and staff were a delight.

Great retreat

Definitely convenient, just beware to not stay on the busy side of the street. We were “upgraded” to a room that faces the pool and backed the steer. Where you could hear the garbage truck. It was definitely not nice of the manager to shove us there on the corner. Properly is a little older, nothing luxurious, but definitely comfortable for families looking for something easy and convenient.

This hotel and spa is beautiful. Lush, vibrant gardens and plant life everywhere you turned. A gorgeous place to walk around. We got a couple's massage at the spa-the facilities were excellent and the massages themselves were amazing. Our therapists were both terrific. Comfortable bed, spacious, tasteful room, friendly service.

They didn’t have maintenance for after hours so we had to change rooms at 12:30 am . They deducted 100$ off and upgraded our room . Wish we could have gotten a little more out of it. Maybe it was just our luck

A room in the Greens was just what I needed. Quiet, beautiful terrace with fire pit. Huge space - it has a living room and dining room with separate bedroom.

We could hear our next door neighbors. Washing machines above/ below us were noisy. Beds were too firm. Front desk staff was pleasant, Saturday night bartender was slightly abrasive but I get it, she was the only one behind the bar so I understand. If she had help the experience would have been different. We had a poolside room which was nice but there were small tree branches in our patio and one of the fountains was not working. Overall experience was a 4/5. We will return for the summer.

Rancho Bernardo Inn was a great option for my work trip to San Diego. The beautiful property has a peaceful atmosphere, making unwinding easy after a busy day. My room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, providing a great space to focus and relax. The staff was attentive and friendly, and the dining options were excellent. It was a great experience, and I would definitely return.

Nice property and people, byt I was put off by the $40/night fee for parking and especially that they did not have access to Netflix or Prime except if you downloaded the app to your phone and then casted it to the TV

Amazing property. Peaceful space where outside and inside were well integrated. I loved sitting out in the covered breezeway enjoying the view. Grounds were lovely with lots of tucked away spaces to enjoy. Staff was friendly and helpful. Restaurant was delicious. Spent one day at the spa which was exceptional.

There were no swim towels when we went to the pool in the afternoon (hotel ran out and it took an hour to restock) and a shortage of chairs around the pool. Ordering food at the pool was really inconvenient so we ended up leaving and going out to eat. And when we ordered food from the cafe the next day, it was not good and way overpriced. Not worth the $45 resort fee and $40 overnight self parking. Would not return nor would I recommend.

HORRIBLE INFESTATION OF BED BUGS! Manager would not even refund my money and I have photos of the bedbugs AND the bites all over my body! Horrible management, very very unkind.

We had our items in our room stolen by house keeping and we were treated like we didnt matter because we arent old rich people. I am almost certain we were lied to by staff on multiple occasions. The food was good though.

The place was adequate but not mind blowing. I found the common areas a bit dirty, and the food overpriced. The pool was disappointing, small, no wait staff, just a QR code to order food. I was expecting a resort feel but it really felt like it was catered to golfing mostly.

Promised more than it has to offer because it could use an update in pools and room. However, it has very friendly and professional staff and the spa is fantastic.

At the beginning of my stay I asked to check out one day early. The property agreed and said I’d be credited for one night. I’ve yet to receive this credit from the property or Hotels.com.

The helpfulness of the staff was impressive - each & every one responded quickly to our questions & greeted us each day! The Ranch Bernardo Inn grounds are gorgeous & the golf course was in excellent shape! We had a great time!!!
