    I am extremely picky when it comes to hotels and I have to say that this hotel was the cleanest hotel I’ve stayed at in a while. Housekeeping came every other day to refresh the room and each time they did an excellent job. The hotel is very close to the airport, so if you are a light sleeper it might night be the best place to stay. The noise from the airport didn’t bother me. The only issue I had was an employee in training ran my credit card as a gift card and it messed up my bank account which made my stay a bit stressful. Other than that I would definitely recommend the hotel.

    I immediately reported these issues and requested a different room, but was told the hotel was fully booked and no other rooms were available. Maintenance was sent, but the problems were not truly resolved. The blackout curtain was rehooked but remained difficult to operate, the toilet paper holder was only temporarily tightened and quickly loosened again, and the odor issue was not fixed—instead, air fresheners were placed in the AC vent to mask the smell. The stained toilet and shower drain were never cleaned. Overall, the room was in unacceptable condition, and the hotel's response focused on temporary fixes rather than addressing the underlying cleanliness and maintenance issues. It made for a very disappointing stay.

    Breakfast was enjoyable overall, but there were some issues. The orange juice tasted watered down, the potatoes were quite stale, and the waffle maker produced fresh and tasty waffles. Additionally, the elevator was functioning slowly, and the only working one kept skipping floors. As someone with a handicap, I had no choice but to wait for it, while many other guests opted to take the stairs. Next time I'll make sure to check everything instead of taking the staff's word for it.

    Convenient and close to everything. Loved the free breakfast, the kitchenette was super nice and has everything you need to cook meals. Laundry on site excellent. The bay view is blocked by another hotel. The pool is sad. The dresser nightstands fall over if all three drawers are open. They should be secured to the wall. Someone could get seriously hurt if it falls over especially children. I work in Compliance for a living and I know you could get sued, and these products should be recalled. If the hotel isn't properly securing to the wall and the product has instructions to do so, the hotel is liable.

    Our room was not cleaned for 3 days, and we were told it was because Memorial Day was a holiday. Even basic services like changing the restroom trash bag or offering fresh towels and supplies were not provided. An elevator was also not working during our stay, which was very inconvenient. We had to wait in line to use the available elevator. On top of that, the restroom sink was getting clogged, and when we spoke to the front desk for toilet paper, they said they would bring some but never did. For the price we paid, I expected much better customer service and upkeep. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet expectations.

    The service was nice, fast check in and check out. They don serve breakfast with plenty of seating. Things to be aware of is, the construction going on if you’re walking. I never had my room serviced, I don’t know if it was just because my stay was 2 days or if it should be requested. The main elevator had 1 that didn’t work, this made the wait longer, not a big deal just an inconvenience. The store items are pricey, keep that in mind. My MAJOR things was there was blood spots on one of the bed sheets, under the comforter, like maybe someone cut themselves and didn’t know. I checked the beds before laying in them that night and seen it. Myself and my son, slept in the other bed that checked to be clear of things. I thought a cleaner would come so I never called the front desk, but again, I never received a room clean so they never came. I spent majority of the time out of the room so I didn’t make a fuss. Overall the hotel was fine. Double check your beds.

    Rooms are ready but wont let us in without charging $50 to get in a few hours early? That's pretty steep for something that really requires no extra work and not great for clients who have been traveling all day long. Just seems to be bad client service and support. Very easy to make a client's stay easier without nickel and diming them. They then charged me $372 twice to my credit card and then when I enquired about the charge it was an 'accident' I asked "was it because of my bad review?" and they giggled. Very unprofessional staff.

    If I had known they don't clean the rooms every single day, I would not have booked here! Prior to booking here, I stayed a week at the Wyndham on hotel circle, and they cleaned the room every single day. For half the price, the cleanliness at the wyndham was impeccable. Breakfast here at this Marriott was just okay. The eggs were kind of disgusting but the ham and cheese croissant was good. Unfortunately, they only had that one day out of my weeklong stay. I called down to let them know that my daughter was going to be joining me. no one answered the phone. It rang a very, very long time. When my daughter checked in, they did not ask her if she had a car. If they would have bothered answered their phone, they would have known she was getting a rental car. Upon realizing that she needed to supply her car information, I called down in the middle of the night and asked if we could give it in the morning because it was late. He said they would tow our car at 1 AM if we didn't come down immediately. So because he failed to answer the phone and failed to ask her if she had a car she had to get dressed and go down in the middle of the night to resolve this. I stayed at this hotel from March 4 to march 11. on march 12, i was seen at a wound care center for an open wound which was found to contain mrsa. I'm not saying I got it from this hotel, but I'm not saying I didn't. I did spend time by the pool. I'm not sure how often they disinfect those pool chairs.

    One elevator was out which led to long waits going up and down from third floor. Our room was never cleaned which was ok but we had to ask twice to get towels exchanged. Breakfast was great with good selection and attendants were great at refilling station. Location is good but right next to airport so bring earplugs as planes take off till 11 PM. I usually have very good to excellent stays at Marriott properties, this one did not meet expectations.

    Great central location to everything we needed. Very close to airport, Seaport Village, Point Loma, Mission Beach, Fashion Valley Mall, etc. Welcoming staff was always available to help. Breakfast had many options. Lobby was an amazing place to hang out. Would definitely stay here again!

    Made my reservation 2 weeks ago for a king room. Go to check in and it got switched to 2 queen beds. Person at front desk was nice. Got free parking for the night. However, the 2 queen beds were definitely not queen sized beds. Maybe 2 full size but not queen. Room only had 1 roll of tp but they brought some extra oretty quickly. The chair in the room looked bloodstained and some other kind of stain... Free breakfast was pretty good. Overall, not bad but wont be staying there again

    Primer Room is spacious and cozy with good nature light, have everything like kitchen much better than a Airbnb. Nice service is provided at front desk. Buffer breakfast is good. Location is convenient nearby airport and other tourist spots. Especially Ron from shuttle team helped us with the airport transport to the hotel. And he figured out everything for us including flight terminal. Thanks so much! Highly recommend this hotel!

    They didnt hold our reservation made weeks earlier. They transferred us to a much less quality hotel to a non-suite room evem though we reserved a suite. This happened at 11 at night after a long flight, so this took an extra half our.just to get checked in. In addition, they seemed very unconcerned about the whole ordeal. STAY AWAY from this hotel.

    It took 7 days to get clean sheets. We were told every 4 days. They day the housekeeping came, we told them 10 minutes (we were just packing up for the day) they never came back. Three days later they were changed, a total of 7 days. It was another 5 days, no clean sheets again. We finally checked out to another hotel.

    On the positive side The 2 Queen suite/ room we booked was of good space with a kitchen/fridge which was great. I loved the water pressure of the shower it was really strong and kind of helped as a massage for the soreness I was feeling due to the uncomfy beds. The location is great very close to so many amenities that we were looking for. If you do decide to stay here I recommend bring some earplugs for the airport noise.

    Staff were good and the room was mostly good. We did have a broken toilet seat and the cleanliness of the room wasn't the best. For example, we had used floss on the bathroom floor next to the garbage can. It means the floors weren't cleaned after the last guest. Also the hallway carpets were so stained and filthy that it was appalling. A pile of dirty sheets were outside one room for almost 2 days. There were broken elevator buttons and debris in the elevator. It seemed like a nice place that just didn't have a lot of care.

    Didn’t eat breakfast. One of the front desk ladies was not very customer service friendly. If you’re going to have a shuttle please show you must make a reservation. Make it Internet accessible. I had to check in late in person and not able to get a shuttle because I didn’t have a reservation for it. Now have to pay an Uber

    The in person manual check was very smooth. However, when we tried the online check in on Oct 30 (24 hrs before date) in the morning of Oct 31 an auto error message kept on appearing saying that we were not allowed check in before 48 hours. The counter staff explained that if we do not have an account with Mariott, that check in app won’t work. In the app, there was no such condition listed. 2) Cleanliness: A) Surprised to find a coffee mug that was “caked” with dry coffee residue. B) The tissue inside the tissue box was damp. 3) Washroom door The swing out w/r door not only takes up 1/3 of the bed get-off space area. If someone tries to get off from bed & another person swings out the w/r door simultaneously, they will collide.

    Very nice hotel. Great variety for breakfast. The only issue was the bathroom smelled a bit like pee when we arrived. Also, I reserved a king room but they only had 2 queens at the time of check in. The layout of the room was a little awkward. The door to the bathroom was right next to the bed and the TV was on the wall next to the bathroom door instead of being in front of the bed.

    Loved the design and it was very quaint. Absolutely beautiful outside though the floor I stayed on (5th flr) had very stained carpet. I also wasn’t a big fan of the elevators. Lots of strange noises. Seems it should be maintained a bit more often.

    is outdated and all hotels must/should have handheld showerheads with hoses. The carpeting in the hallway on 2nd floor smelled bad with some kind of maloderous Fabreze spray and of diesel fumes. At a total per nite cost of $300, it was quite an expensive 1-nite stay.

    It was the service, more than anything. I landed in San Diego, only to realize I had left all toiletries. Chev, at the front desk helped me out. He also helped me with some work needs (printing, etc). He didn't have to do any of that, but it's service that I haven't gotten at some seriously $$$$ hotels so I greatly appreciated it and he saved the day.

    Expedia listing stated washer/dryer in each room and even had a picture. When checking in hotel says we have never had laundry in the rooms. They blamed Expedia. Contacted Expedia and they blamed the hotel.

    We check in around 230pm. The room was not ready. They said they will call . 630pm came around ans still no call. The room was ok but the dishes where not wash. The soap dispenser in the shower fell off when we were pumping it to dispense. It was just being held up by tape. Otherwise, things were ok.

    Poor cleanliness. I reserved a 2-bedroom suite and upon entering the room I noticed a strong urine smell. The sofa bed had brown stains. I immediately requested a different room. The second room had an even stronger urine smell. I left the hotel and had to look for another place to stay.

    I booked this hotel for one night. When I arrived they told me they had overbooked and did not have a room available for me but they had reserved a room in another hotel. Not only did they get me a room with just one bed when I had booked for two beds, but also they booked a hotel with no free breakfast as they do. To top it off they charged my credit card a 50 dollar fee for no reason.Really ruined my trip I don’t recommend to stay at this hotel 😡

    Cons - The vanity in the bathroom was the smallest I’ve ever seen in a hotel (only one person could use at a time), the bathroom smelled like urine and there was no fan for ventilation, the hotel was very muggy and stuffy, bed was uncomfortable, drawers in the second bedroom were broken and unusable, only a small vanity mirror and one full length mirror (2 bedroom suite needs more mirrors to accommodate larger parties), breakfast was awful. The hotel overall was just ok. I would only stay there again if there was no other hotel with 2 bedroom suites.

    The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They held our bags until our room was ready, which happened to be ready early. The rooms were amazing--clean, new, great channels and guest services. The pool was great and we were able to walk to a little beach and the airport shopping from the hotel. The free shuttle service was a cherry on top.

    Awesome place to stay for couples. Comes with great amenities and friendly staff. Really enjoyed the HBO max free service wish the tv was mounted directed in front but swivels out so not too bad. Great rooms with a kitchen. No complaints, free breakfast in the morning. However parking was $25 per night just to keep in mind if you are driving.

    Apparently the shuttle service ends at 10:30. Every other hotel I have ever stayed at if it past the time you call and they have shuttle sent to pick you up. Not here, had to pay for shuttle service, a ridiculous amount I might add, the woman that checked us in was very cold and rude. Never will stay here again

    Property was clean, and very convenient to those flying in and of airport. I unfortunately was there for a military funeral, and request for quiet room wasn’t honored. I wouldn’t choose this location again due to the noise of planes taking off all day and night.

    Everything was good except there was no room for us on the shuttle so we walked to the airport. The host was kind enough to bring us bagged breakfast. Just don’t expect to get shuttled to the airport it always seems full at 5:00 am - not sure about the other times but we only stayed their because we had an early morning flight.
