It was an okay stay. I appreciate the staff allowing me to switch rooms when the one they gave me had a terrible cigarette stench. The hotel was close to where I wanted to be, but the immediate surroundings were not that pleasant.

Not the cleanest I’ve ever been to, the floors had a lot of debris on them. But I loved the two bedroom suite. Bathroom was tiny but tub was big. Staff was cool. Fridge was useful but a microwave in the room would have been nice. Open parking with security. Would stay again for the price.

Second worst hotel I've ever been at, heard the neighbors going at it for two days straight. Tried to wash away the mental anguish with a hot shower and the shower knob fell off... Fridge was gooey and gross with some sticky stuff from past stays. Avoid... We stayed on memorial Day weekend so we unfortunately paid extra for whatever this was...

Parking was great. Both rooms we were on have big hugh cockroach in them.

The staff was helpful. That's the extend of the positive to this hotel. The place is rundown beyond words. The pictures posted definitely do not portray the location. The walls were dirty, the furniture inside the room was disgustingly dirty and to top it off. Two dead roaches on the floor. Contacted the front desk and was told that the room had recently been fumigated for roaches. That was enough for us to leave the property and found a different hotel to stay. I do NOT recommend this location nor would I ever stay here again. Keep browsing, there's plenty of better places around the area.

good for short stay. Cozy room but Bathroom water pressure needs improvement.

The latch on the door was broken. And would not shut all the way leaving us vulnerable in a dangerous area. I fixed the door myself. The microwave did not work so I had to move it to another outlet that wouldn’t cause a shortage. Bathroom tile was full of moisture buildup and mold. Not a safe place to stay. Do not stay here.

The floors in the room were filthy. Had to wear socks. Other than that the room was clean. Half way during our stay our room lost power then gained back only on half. Employee claims it was do to power company. Delicious food choices within walking distance. Mini fridge worked very well

It's a $70/night motel, at most. Beds are at least 15 years old, sheets have holes, air-conditioning is musty. Seedy does not even explain... I mean. I got a deal for room 304 for 2 night plus car rental for under $200. Soooooo... this is what I get. I would never stay here with family. I had to do a last minute trip and I wanted to stay budget. No breakfast. Pool area is now a smoking area. My card stopped working so I had to go get a replacement for some reason. Family who runs it seem nice. Free parking. Mall nearby. SD is a beautiful place. Those are the pluses. Oh and I was able to shower and sleep (somewhat. Sheets seemed icky so I barely slept)

The room is a good size, pretty spacious, the bed though was too hard and it wasn't possible to take a bath, only a shower. The staff was nice and courteous.

Room was in so-so condition. First off, the entrance door to room was very hard to open & shut. It needs to be planed off to correct this issue. Secondly, "Indian" operations don't understand "refrigerators" in America!! The small, cheap mini fridges MUST be DEFROSTED. The frig in my room has NOT been defrosted in numerous months!! Ice was so thick, it barely cooled anything!! I mention the Indian culture, because I've stayed in (4) hotels the past 3 months (all Indian owned) & I had to mention the same issue EVERY TIME!! WOW!! Thirdly, the bathroom sink barely had any water pressure. Shower was NOT much better!! Regarding laundry room. You have a sign on the door that says it opens at 9am. So opening the door at 9:20am is NOT acceptable. Also, there is no defined closing time!! Additionally, I attempted to wash a load of clothes in warm water. The water was COLD & did NOT remove all the soap from my clothes. I'm sure water pressure played a part in this!! In general, amenities are barely at a minimum. You should provide at least a continental breakfast!! WIFI tended to drop from time to time, so you must be on the bare bones plan here as well. As for TV, another bare minimum plan. Many channels were NOT included. Only positives involved the lighting, the pillows & the bed along with ac unit + microwave. Food for thought. You are NOT in India!! You're in America & we expect more & better overall. Get with the program!! Period.........

The room just felt old and smelly.

Only stayed for a hour and book a new room at a different hotel,Staff was rude and the surrounding of the hotel was shady to say the least,Never will stay here or recommend to anyone.

The reservation doesn't disclosed the fact that this particular operator holds 100 dollars for a period of seven to ten days. They also do not tell you until after you check out.

The bed was comfortable which is my #1 concern. The room was clean and room service stopped by every day to see if we needed anything. The bathroom had just a shower which is great to us because we have a hard time getting in the tub showers. There were restaurants and a grocery store within walking distance. The only negative was parking. There wasn’t enough spots for the number of rooms.

Check in was fine and when I got in the first room the bed was stained & dirty so I told the front desk and they gave us another room (the one next to it) where the bed was also dirty (had hair and a bunch of lint that was not from the sheets) decided not to stay and ask for a refund.

This hotel was very accommodating and reasonable. They are conveniently located to places of interest including the convention center and downtown San Diego. There are a few places to get coffee and breakfast as well as shopping. Great stay. Thank you

It was a cheap place to crash after a cancelled flight. They thoughtfully put us in a ground floor room seeing as we had 50lb bags and the air conditioners kept it cool through the night. The room we were in was in desperate need of repair and upgrade. But it was clean and got the job done of needing a night to sleep before travel again the next day. It was also next to an Einstein's Bagel place for breakfast.

They are so cheap that don’t even provide q bottle of water.

This property is dated and dingy. The cleaning service does very well with what they have to work with. Cracked tiles, broken outlets, fire hazard hair dryer and microwave. But it is an ok place for a bed.

The first thing I noticed was the blankets. The blankets were dirty, had stains, and crumbs. Each layer I pulled back was worse. No bed bugs, thank God! But I did had to request for another sheet because what I walked into was gross. The floor was dirty with crumbs pushed in the corner or the room. The walls were dirty. Especially the wall next to the toilet. You can see all the crud in the paints. The toilet was leaking, my partner brought in his tools fix it and it stopped leaking. I try calling the front office when I was requesting for a new sheet and the phone didn't even work. Finally after messing with the cord I was able to hurry and say something before it went out again. Gave up and just went to the office. The front desk receptionist was very nice and friendly. Thank you because if she wasn't at least nice and friendly it would of made the stay 10x worse.

The faucet for our sink wasn’t attached very well it was wobbly, and the drain was clogged. Your bed was horrible sink in the middle.

I was in the process of filling the bathtub with water so I could take a bath, water was only in the tub, when I got a call from staff to stop spilling water because it was dripping into the first floor room. I didn’t like the reprimand first of all, especially since I didn’t spill water anywhere and it means their rooms are in need of repair. The bathroom sink was tilted downward at an angle (it was connected to the wall and had no feet) which is shoddy work

Property was older but well kept, clean room, comfortable bed, exceptional staff/customer service, neighboring businesses were noisy however that’s not the hotel’s fault. If you want a nice clean and comfortable place to crash, rest and bathe, you can’t beat the price or this place…. 👍👍👍👍👍

We were there for a marine graduation

When we checked in a huge coackroach ran right by us in the lobby. When we stepped inside the room it was so humid and hot that we immediately started to sweat and had to turn on the ac. The parking is basically an alleyway that was really sketchy, a few homeless were living around there. We had to buy disinfectant and spray it all over because based on everything else we didn’t want to lay in dirt and germs that we couldn’t see. To top it off someone knocked on our door at midnight, we didn’t open it but no one was there. We left immediately afterwards. Basically we left unsafe and couldn’t stay there.

It was extremely close to shopping and dining; like less than one minute. The room did have two beds in separate rooms and the kitchenette was adequate. The downsides: only one room key worked, the phone didn’t work (no dial tone), the neighbors were noisy, the wi-fi worked for about ten minutes or so then didn’t work again and it wasn’t close to decent transportation. We were only there for two nights so we didn’t say anything. If rooms closer to the comic con were more available at a better price, I would definitely choose those; otherwise I would take this one into consideration if necessary. Just because of the location to shopping.

Made reservation through Expedia. They said there was a free breakfast - and there wasn’t. Also, the photos looked more inviting than the actual place and room service only comes every other day though the front desk gave us more coffee for the room and a new lotion dispenser as the one in the room ran out.

The floors in the hotel were disgusting including the shower floor. I had to go buy shower shoes. The bathroom smelled like a porter potty reeking of urine. The bathroom only had 1 toilet paper roll and 2 towels. When asking for more toilet paper I was given one at a time.

Having jacuzzi was great after a day of tennis. Helps soothes tired legs and body. One strange thing happened at 2am of our first night that our phone rang every minute 3X! We didn’t answer but just disconnected the line. That’s the weird thing but everything else was fine. Very friendly staff.

Booked 3 nights four days and it’s was perfect for the price. Check in was quick and easy. Having the leave a hold of $100 was a little frustrating but understandable. The room was clean and had all we needed. Table, chair, bed, bathroom hot water. It was only about $80 a night and it was nice and safe.

Was fine. Good for a quick stay to visit San Diego zoo and was close to the shops, Sprouts and fast food.

The linens weren’t that great, the main bed covering felt like curtain material, pillows had no cushion and tv remote hardly worked. Definitely will not be staying here again and wouldn’t recommend it!

The only loudness we experienced was the planes taking off every 1/2 hour from the airport. other than that, it was a great, comfortable experience.

The place was quiet and the parking was ok. The room mid, the thing I did not like about the room was the bathroom door would not close, therefore it would not lock. They had some sort of containers where where the parking spot was and it made parking by our room very awkward.

Overall it was good. The room was very spacious. However, there were things that weren't so great. For one thing, the mattress were very firm. At times it felt like I was sleeping on the floor. Also, the bathroom was extremely small. Space for barely one person. Forget about taking a bubble bath. Tub was so small even for a 10 year old. One major safety concern for me was that it didn't have any protection from slipping in the tub while showering.

My daughter and I were here for a family visit. We stayed here a week and the staff was excellent and very accommodating. The bed was very comfortable. It is not a newly renovated place, yet we were close to everything, we had everything we needed. I would stay here again! The only things were the toilet handle you had to hold down a bit longer to flush the toilet and the toilet seat was loose, but we were never there long enough for it to be an issue or a bother.

Overall the area where the hotel is located is sketchy. The rooms are OK, but it feels like it is just another warehouse, in an industrial site. Be careful with Travelodge. They charge the deposit and you won't get it back until 10 business days later! It is not a temporary transaction like the general rule in other hotels.

Does not offer breakfast, does not offer early check in or late check out. Does not offer shuttle service. What you do get is an attitude from the younger and older men. Forced to pay a deposit even if you have a card on file and fully paid. A dirty room! The bed was comfy, spacious but dirty!! The neighborhood is ok but there is a ton of noise around the hotel and the walls do nothing to buffer it.

Convenient location for our trip. Lots of places near by to shop. Room was nice and spacious, TV remote only worked up close to the TV, doors were newly painted so it made it hard to close shut had to push hard making a hard slam noise. You could hear the other rooms because of it , they had to slam the door to close. Bed was nice we had the king bed. Parking was nice although walls emmited all or most of the noise from outside when people closed their car door, trucks and when they talked loudly. Could just imagine how noisy it might be around area since there is a delivery area nearby for the mall . Other than that had a great stay

I only did 4 stars because the cable service was not workimg on the TV. Other then that it was very comfortable there. Lots of good places to eat in the shopping center right next door. The bed and pillows were very comfortable.....i think pillow quality is very important. Good amenities in the room. Refrigeratior, microwave, toiletries, and ironing board. I will probably stay there again in the future.

Typical Travelodge - The room is not too clean except the beds are clean and comfortable. The door has gaps, and the neighbors and parking lot can be loud. There's a fan in the room that hides a lot of noise. It's good for the price.

Extremely rude clerk at desk when I checked into hotel; only because my name did not match my reservation and my driver's license. Tried to explain to him reservation was with my maiden name which i shouldnt have reason to argue the situation but when he said, "WHATEVER" i was irate! Was there for our son's military graduation ceremony too. Dont think he was even part of the "family hotel" business either.

Clean and comfortable. Centrally located so that you’re a 12 minute ride from the different districts. There is a shopping center next door with a TJ MAXX, Home Goods, and Sprouts grocery store, along with various services and restaurants. Staff is very friendly. You can tell they are giving it a little face lift. The bed was super comfy. No sign of pests. The hairdryer was broken and the toilet takes forever to flush so minor maintenance issues, there weren’t tons of transient people in or around the property like you see at other comparably priced motels and that was a concern. I would book again.

Location is good, area is not sketchy despite what the sheltered ppl may say lol. Downside is this walls and proximity to the road. It was pretty loud when trying to sleep. Clean, but not without issues. Bed wasn’t that comfy. Our sink faucet was loose and would sway and the sink did not drain properly.

Convenient location, several stores and restaurants nearby, short LYFT rides to many amenities. The hotel was clean, all staff were terrific, we'll be back next year!!!

You get what you pay for. It’s super cheap for a reason. Good place to sleep. It was clean, but there was very little furniture, and nothing but a chair to sit on. One plug for three appliances. Tons of places to eat and shop surrounding the place. It’s in a great location. I would have liked a table or something. At least to eat at.

It was loud at night. The people on top of my room were loud until 4 a.m., and there was no free water access. The staff was not enthusiastic and welcoming.

The location is good. I was able to walk the area and felt safe. The property itself is run down. There was no housekeeping service and the sink was possibly clogged since it took forever for the water to drain. The room I stayed in didn’t have WiFi it keep disconnecting and wouldn’t connect after many efforts.

Our stay here was amazing. The front office staff were friendly and welcoming. The location is perfect! So much around to see and do. The room was clean, beds were comfortable. The fridge and microwave were a nice feature to have when staying with your family. I was highly impressed with this hotel compared to the price

This place is gross. My wife took a shower when we arrived and after walking around barefoot for a few minutes she laid on the bed. I was blown away how black her feet were just from walking on the floor. The shower probably has never been cleaned because you can seee the pencil marks and grout residue from the installation. The house cleaners did not have mops. The manager did not care one bit, told me I can go somewhere else. I will be reporting them to the health department when I get back home.

The room was filthy, warn down, hair, mold, outdated and very bad odor. My daughters room found a spy camera. Stay at your own risk.

If I hadnt been charged for this room I would have went somewhere else. This room was not clean. The bed shams were disgusting. There was dirt on the bottom of these. Like they were left in that condition for day maybe even weeks. The plug in fixtures were broken. The lock on my door was broken so I couldnt lock it of I tried. The calkong on the sink definitely had mold in it at some point. Let's get started on the bathroom. Dirty hand prints on the walls and by where the toiltpaper roll is on the wall. Looks like there were dirty finger trying to get some and they left those marks on the wall. I got this room because it said it was 10 minutes away from the Marine base. The advertisement is definitely false. These are not clean rooms or even look remotely close to any of those pictures I saw. Expedia do better for your customers and do not offer this hotel. I checked out a day early because I couldnt stay in a dirty room any longer. Not to mention they sent me a receipt this morning saying it was printed on the 12th around 1:30 pm.

I've stayed here before and it was always pleasant, however my recent stay was very noisy( children yelling early in the morning, but it is directly behind a school) and I left the room clean with everything turned off and they kept my deposit. I don't appreciate that. It was one of my hidden gems in San Diego but not anymore

Absolutely everything was horrible. We had 2 rooms and both rooms flooded with sewage water through the bathroom sink, bites all over our bodies from the beds , staff was absolutely horrible and did nothing about it.

We enjoyed staying at this location. It was convenient especially for an event nearby.
