Reviews
Guests generally appreciate the spacious, clean rooms with full kitchens and comfortable beds. However, many express frustration with the timeshare presentations and additional fees for parking and WiFi.

The place was clean and spacious, definitely staying there again. It was in the middle of everything, Benihana a walk away, they have everything poolside along with happy hours
- 5/5
Loved it! Staying in a 2 bedroom suite is always so nice when you have kiddos. The location is great in a safe neighborhood with quick access to the freeways.
- 5/5
The pool was great. Hot tub was warm enough and clean
- 2.5/5
the resort was nice and clean. staff was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and I really liked the spices in the kitchen. also the free laundry was great. No free Wi-Fi... REALLY???? it's 2026 there should be free Wi-Fi !!! The dryers didn't work at all. There isn't much to do for the kids. This resort used to have an arcade center now there's just a sitting area. Also no complimentary coffee in lobby. This used to be provided too.
- 1/5
Space Awkward smell/ odor. Hearing everything. Down to the room next door snoring. False advertising on accommodations.
- 5/5
Great location. Nice loft.
- 5/5
Parking is secured, rooms are clean & spacious, easy check in and check out (they sell timeshare). Only negative is you have to pay for wifi.
- 2/5
The other issue was parking. At other Worldmark properties we've stayed at, we were not charged for parking, but the $25 parking fee was applied to our bill if we didn't go to the 1.5 hour timeshare breakfast. amenities like parking should not be contingent on taking 1.5 hours away from your vacation to go to a time share presentation. This was foist upon us at checkin time when all we wanted to do was get in our room. Wifi was also an amenity you had to pay for. Overall I feel like this property puts timeshare sales over guests experiences. I don't travel much, and was disappointed by this negative experience. finally, we were repeatedly harassed by phone by their timeshare sales team, so much so that I ended up unplugging the phone.

The door to the balcony was broke and difficult to open and close. There were ants in the kitchen so we could not use the kitchen. The maintenace man came at 11pm knocking to spray for ants. I spent hours searching for the perfect place for our family vacation and booked months in advance and now my kids will probably remember it as "the place with the ants". When I spoke with the manager she would not move us rooms due to no rooms available and would not reimburse me.
- 2/5
The room was nice, but once I arrived they were demanding me to pay again after everything was paid on full before I arrived, having to talk to the manager then finally common up with a lame excuse that it's the new computer. Next as you get ready to go to your room you are stopped and harassed to go on a tour to purchase a time share. There is plunty of parking but they charge you 25 dollars a day to park on thier property. This place is all about the money.

We had just gotten off our flight in San Diego to be informed by email that they had overbooked the property we were staying at and they were canceling our reservation. I spent over four hours on the phone with people playing the blame game trying to get a new reservation at a different property that would be comparable and close to the party we were traveling with but everywhere was booked. We finally had no choice but to be downgraded for something we had paid in full for two months earlier. Over booking and canceling someone’s reservation the day of arrival is extremely unprofessional and Very poor business practices in my opinion. Not to mention, that this was a pretty awful and unsettling experience for our family. Makes me very Leary to trust and book with Expedia in the future

Manager refunded my money.

This was a nice property and the staff is friendly; however, the parking garage is really compact and tough to maneuver if you don't have a small car. Parking is also $25/night which I wish I would have known prior to booking. We got a complimentary gift bag upon checking-in which I thought was nice, but they also tried talking us into going to timeshare meetings which I wanted no part of. Outside of that, the property seemed to be well maintained and relatively quiet which was nice.
- 1/5
Didnt honor our reservation. When we arrived said the were overbooked and had canceled our prepaid reservation. Front desk front desk did nothing to help.
- 5/5
My family felt at home immediately. The kitchen and amenities was perfect for y family.
- 4/5
WiFi should be free television stream
- 4/5
The room was clean and spacious. The paid WIFI is horrible. It's best to get a WIFI puck from the front desk. The problem was it was all checked out by other guess. We had to rely on our phone data for internet to complete our work. I would call the front desk everyday and they would tell me it was not available. after several days, I decided to walk to the front desk and magically they had plenty. They only clean the room once a week, you'll have to call and schedule the cleaning. Another thing I really dislike is right after you check in and get your room keys, they want to go speak with a representative pretending to provide you a gift but it's just a Time Share rep that's trying to get you to sign up. I've staye there several times now and this time I told the lady I'm not interested in Time share and proceed to walk to my car. She followed me all the way to my car just to get my information. Be prepare to be directed to the Time Share rep after checking in.
- 3/5
Kitchen was very nice. No wifi. They said they were working on it but according to other reviews its always this way. No excuse day and age. They try to get you into a time share meeting.
- 5/5
I can't say enough about this place. Everything is brand new. Super clean, Eco-friendly rooms and the staff was superb. The two-bedroom two bathroom suites are large and come stocked with everything to make it your home away from home. Great location for a family-filled getaway. We will definitely come here again.
- 4/5
what a great reasonable place with a great location to down town, balboa park, san diego zoo etc.
- 5/5
Best hotel i’ve ever stayed at! Everyone is so friendly , and they accommodate to your request 10/10 will book again!
- 3/5
Did not know this was a time share property. Was not impressed with the full court press timeshare sales ambush. Booked this on Expedia thinking it was just a hotel room booking. Shame on you Expedia.
- 3/5
The hotel itself has lots of potential. Spacious, comfortable bed. There was hair in the tub, lots of dust and walking barefoot or with socks showed the floor had not been mopped very well. The balcony is huge and I had plenty of space and also a nice kitchen area to sit and visit with my family. The refrigerator was full size. There was free washer and dryers on my floor. My room had a sponge, paper products, dish soap, dishwasher powder, laundry detergent and a basket for use. Parking was 25 a night with no free WiFi. The car garage was well maintained with lots of parking. Hall carpet was in need of cleaning. I saw the same bandaid stuck to the floor for the duration of the trip. When I first checked in the front desk allowed me to go to my room a little early but, then I was bombarded by a very pushy team of ladies trying to sell a timeshare. I had just driven 9 hours and needed to use the restroom. This was ignored as I tried to walk backwards to leave to my car. Overall, we had a very nice trip. Hotel is a 3 star. The road to the area is a little run down. Closest restaurant is Benihana. I left the cleaning crew 20 bucks tip because it is a large two bedroom to clean up. I ran the dishwasher and turned down the used bedding. I told the front desk I was leavi by and verified there was nothing else expected of me before departing.
- 5/5
This place is awesome. Two bedroom villa with a full working kitchen. Free ice, Free Laundry. Right next to the mall. Lots of other stores and restaurants near by. And a 10-15 minute drive from anything you'd want to do in San Diego. Would stay here again. Strongly recommend
- 5/5
Cons: Paid parking. A separate counter near the entrance/exit of the lobby - they said that they were part of the check in team but they’re liars. They’re trying to get you to sign up for extras/time shares AND ARE NOT A PART OF THE CHECK IN PROCESS. Small pool and small hot tub (but they work!). Was surprised at how spacious the room was; a legit 1 bedroom apartment (without washer/dryer in the unit). They charged for parking but there was plenty of off street parking available. Location of the property was on a dead end road (one way in and one way out). Definitely will stay here again when I’m down in San Diego. Great bang for your buck!
- 1/5
You have to pay for internet everyday. The more devices the more you pay. You have to pay for parking or you can park on the street where there is none. If you are not a timeshare holder and just visiting the front desk will bother you to try and sell things. Oh! And the internet you pay for doesn’t work on the TVS it always disconnects. Please don’t have a problem with it because you will have to call a It Number and troubleshoot your own internet. Terrible stay.
- 4.5/5
Central location to beaches and zoo. Underground parking provided easy access to units and worth the $25/night. Noticed that the smoke doors at the elevator lobby had been propped open --- a cause of concern if there had been a fire and therefore no isolation of the elevator shaft. WiFi not part of the price of the accommodations, but easily available if you bring your own hot spot.
- 5/5
Location was perfect
- 5/5
Excellent stay. Convenient home away from home. Highly recommend this property
- 1/5
Arrived to find out they had no room for me because construction after booking it weeks in advance and tell me to call some number and I’ll be “placed” somewhere else. Told them just refund me which they approved the refund through Expedia.
- 1.5/5
The customer service was very helpful My room had an ant problem which made it difficult to sleep, because I was getting bit by the ants
- 5/5
Great room
- 4/5
1) The parking garage costs $25 / day and is really tight. Wouldn't want a large SUV. 2) Wifi is not free. For 3 nights that we were mostly gone it wasn't a big deal, but if you are planning on spending time in your room it's annoying. 3) The pool was really small. Like tiny. If more than 6 people are in it, there is really no swimming possible. Other than that, we really enjoyed our time. Clean, full kitchens, free laundry, and close to a lot of the sights: 10 minutes from the airport, 10 minutes to the zoo, 10 minutes to the port, and 20 minutes to Sea World.
- 5/5
Very quiet room and friendly staff
- 5/5
The room was very clean and spacious!
- 4/5
Hotel nice and clean. Staff were always friendly and welcoming.
- 4/5
Was vary close to everything. They wouldn’t take no for answers when trying to get us to go to the seminar which was very annoying.
- 5/5
Loved the layout for our needs. It wads perfect! Had everything we needed for a couple and 2 single people in our party. Convenient location to shopping, beaches and Snapdragon Stadium
- 5/5
Enjoyed the stay but would advise to request the 4th floor so that you don’t hear anyone walking above you.
- 5/5
Having laundry rooms were great. Paying for parking was the only drawback. The hotel was great though. Large rooms and everything you needed in terms of kitchen items.
- 4/5
Great property but didn’t like that it was a timeshare, I was there for a convention and had no time for their timeshare speech. But other than that my room was nice, spacious, full kitchen and bath and the bed was super comfortable.
- 5/5
I loved have 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms so my family could spend time together.
- 5/5
Loved the kitchen, had everything we needed. Close to Target and Trader Joes which was nice. Beds were comfy and balcony was nice. Only thing is the floor could have been mopped as our feet were very dirty by the end of the night but definitely not a deal breaker. Would 100% stay here again! Also forfot something in the room and got a text saying they found it and shipping it to me. Great place for a family stay.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Overall good experience! Didn’t knew it’s a time share complex. Good for family with kids!
- 5/5
Wish they didn’t make a big deal about staying longer and didn’t tell me that they had to find a manager 2 times , like why not make it easier for people to do
- 4.5/5
Good location
- 3/5
Pretty disappointed about the fact that it was dirty. I had to ask for new towels because the ones that was in the room when we checked it had a very bad odor. The floors were very dirty, bed sheets were smelly. Kitchen hand towels were smelly. The pull out bed looks like it had prior used sheets. Being on the first floor close to the BBQ station meant no privacy. We had ppl hanging out that could see everything inside so we had to keep our blinds closed at all times. It was loud and not what I was expecting.
- 5/5
Very convenient and close to everything
- 5/5
Great place, clean and provides everything you would need for your stay. I will definitely come back.

Property was nice and convenient to downtown San Diego

- 5/5
Awsome
- 5/5
WAS A SHORT BUT VERY PLEASANT STAY. I WILL DEFINITELY STAY THERE AGAIN!!
- 5/5
We were really surprised by everything from check in to check out. Very clean rooms, my kids loved the pool, and parking was easy to get to our rooms.
- 5/5
Very good hotel
- 4/5
The only downsides were that the room had a slightly funky smell likely due to older AC unit. We just opened the balcony door and window and left it open for the most part to avoid that smell. The bed was *super* firm which some may like but I had a rough time sleeping on that mattress, but my spouse slept like a baby so take that with a grain of salt! Other than those two issues, everything was perfect and we had a great time. I'm sure we would come back!
- 5/5
Clean and kids friendly.
- 4/5
Only downside is that parking on premises is not free and wifi is not free
- 3.5/5
I didn't like being given a 30 minute "informational" talk that was really all about time shares. I did not like having to pay for WiFi. Prices for drinks and snacks was way too much!
- 4/5
The staff was friendly and courteous. The room was spotless and bed was very comfortable. What I did not like was the $25 parking fee. We had to find parking in the street.
- 5/5
We will be back. Great price point for area. Loved the shopping and restaurants.
- 5/5
The staff was excellent! We were greeted each time we entered the lobby with smiles and friendliness. My only complaint is that I wasn't informed about the paid parking before check-in
- 4/5
I like the area
- 5/5
Clean room. Speedy check in and check out. Deposit is $250. Ray at the front desk was awesome! Very polite and professional. He allowed me to check out at 11am, as my little family had some laundry finishing up. Oh speaking of laundry, it was free to use both the washers and dryers, and they provided two small laundry soaps as well. The machines are quite new and in good order. The pool is tiny however it is heated pretty well and the hot tub was perfect after a long day at the parks. The room is fully equipped with everything you need to make a meal. Everything in the room and around the resort was clean and in good repair. Loved having a balcony for my morning coffee and my evening nightcaps. It was fairly quiet as well; we never heard our neighbors if we had any, and the only time we heard any volume was around the VIP area where the timeshares are held. Speaking of timeshares, we were never once asked to attend or had any sales pitches. Maybe because we had children with us? I don’t know but anyway we will definitely be back to stay here soon!
- 4/5
The condo was great. Kitchen was well equipped. Staff was friendly and inclusive. My only complaint is charging for WiFi. Just seems greedy. Loved the hotel though. Would stay there again.
- 5/5
Had a Great time. Nice place.
- 3/5
The room was nice, though a bit dated. The "resort" has terrible Wifi and limits the number of devices that can connect for free. It really feels like a 2000's location rather than a 2020's location.
- 1/5
Two day before we were to leave for our vacation we were informed that our reservation was cancelled and that we were being forced to go to another hotel due to over booking. Since it was so close to arrival date there were very few places with availability. Instead of 1 room holding my whole family we were separated into separate rooms. The hotel we were forced to go to was not clean had very little amenities, didn’t feel safe with broken locks, completely shut off the water 1 whole day and was constantly out of supplies. We planned our vacation 4 months again and we were also looking at air bnb so we could all be together but found this worldmark instead which filled our needs and made the reservation. Very disappointed with how things worked out.
- 4/5
The location in relation to everything in San Diego is convenient. The layout of the two bedroom/two bathroom condo was perfect for our family of 5.
- 2/5
Had to move rooms due to rain pouring in the room from the balcony and the 2nd room also had a pretty crazy leak from the A/C. The place needs a lot of work and its quite annoying to get hassled when you check in to buy a time share. Won't be going back here.
- 1/5
I didnt stay at the world mark they cancelled my reservation the day of my reservation 2 hours before check in.....and the sad part is i was on a flight from Philadelphia and didnt find out till i landed
- 5/5
Everything was great. It had enough kitchen appliances. It was so great for me.and my family.
- 4/5
Two rooms, two bathrooms with kitchen and sitting room. Loved the space. Perfect for a family. Traffic noise only noticed when outside but sounded like the ocean to me if I used my imagination. Parking fee is a disappointment. Location great for just about any type of day travel. I would stay here again but only if it's cheaper than other options after keeping the parking fees in mind.
- 5/5
On our second day nobody came and check our room. We had to throw away all our trash out instead
- 5/5
Beautiful and very friendly and helpful staff
- 2/5
Inconvenient. Looked like low income apartments that had been converted into a hotel. Whole time there they keep trying to sell you time share. Don't stay here.
- 5/5
Loved the 2 bedroom set up and kitcyen was well equipped. location was great and easy enougb to get to all the surrounding activities if you have a car. Pool was pretty warm and our 4 year old loved it.
- 4/5
Great experience, but I forgot to inform staff the refrigerator ice maker was inoperable in my suite #241
- 5/5
Good location, but no wifi access
- 4/5
Overall we had a great time, wish the hot tub had been open and we definitely could've done without the hard sell "welcoming" crew trying to get us interested in a timeshare. Luckily our husbands weren't with us, so the high pressure stopped pretty quickly. Paid parking is a ridiculous additional fee that was pretty well hidden in the description. Hotel is very centrally located for a weekend trip to San Diego. Easy on and off the freeway, lots of food/groceries nearby.
- 5/5
place is great . clean hallways . clean elevator. Parking is too expensive $25/ nite and no other options . The company need to rethink that. after you check in they direct you to time share Salesperson . They gave a small baggie with small water kids size oreo and gummie bear bag
- 3/5
The place is nice but one of the time share guys was super pushy and annoying. Some of the staff could have been friendlier.
- 2/5
Front desk was fantastic, however, after checking in, we were told to go to another desk where we were pressured about agreeing to a timeshare presentation. Not impressed. Parking was a drag. We were presently surprised with room and cleanliness at the beginning. At night, the air conditioner brought in cigarette smoke. Not sure where it came from. When we came home after a long day at Sea World, the kitchen was absolutely covered in ants. We ended up throwing away over $75 in food. The staff did respond, but very upsetting we had to make dinner expense that night. At checkout, no apologies, and was very upset I had to pay $25 for parking, when we thew away $75 in food.
- 5/5
Loved the rooms, we had everything we needed at this hotel. Staff were friendly, room was clean!
- 5/5
Very friendly staff and great accommodations for family.
- 0.5/5
The only good thing is the location. That's it. Everything else was a huge disappointment NO POOL even though it is advertised as with a pool. I reached out to customer service. NO response
- 4/5
We liked the big, beautiful , spotlessly clean rooms, great front desk staff, and plenty of secure parking. The reservation was a huge hassle, since we are not owners and just came across this place on Trevago. But unlike smoothly booking a hotel or resort through Trevago, this time-share had extreme difficulty finding our reservation, despite being able to see our confirmation number in a computer system. Once we settled in the rooms, we had a difficult time getting the WiFi to work on our various devices, and could never get out Netflix account to come up on the TV. We also found it uncomfortable to work with the concierge staff, as they get commissions and are competitive.
- 3/5
Pool was nice, plenty of room in the 2 bedroom condo for 6 of us. Older property that really needs a full renovation. Smelled mildewy and often like pot being smoked as well.
- 3/5
Check-in was fine. The unit was clean and practical. The staff were friendly. If breakfast was included, then it was not made clear at all! There also was a pushy sales team to try and sell us on a time share when we checked in. There were resort fees for parking and "complimentary rental" fees for beach gear (complimentary rental is a contradiction of terms). The hotel's location was out of reach of access to restaurants and public transport and relies on guests having a car.
- 1/5
No wifi and tv not working properly
- 0.5/5
This property was canceled on us last minute and got us into so much trouble of finding another place the day before our travel. They didn't give us any reason and refused the responsibility for it.
- 5/5
Exceptional
- 4/5
The building was old and you could hear the stomping of other guests above you. The room was old but it served its purpose. I didn’t care for the location of our room which was a two bedroom unit. I had originally asked for a queen sized bed in the second bedroom but I guess asking for a room close to the elevator for my handicapped mother changed that request. I was grateful for the little arcade and movies offered for my 5 year old. But I didn’t like being pressed to sign up for a vacation presentation at a different location. 🙃 i could tell the unit was spot cleaned and not throughly cleaned. There was dust build up on the bathroom cabinets. I gyess it was worth the price. But then the internet went out the second day and you had to pay up front for 10 days of service.
- 5/5
This hotel is beautiful. The rooms are large, clean, beds and bedding were wonderful, kitchen had everything you need, two bedrooms, two baths, living room and balcony. Everything exceeded my expectations. I will definitely stay here any time I am in San Diego.
- 5/5
The room was super clean and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we could possibly need. A perfect stay for our family!
- 5/5
Great deal!
- 4/5
Overall the resort is pleasant, comfortable, good location, and friendly staffs. The only negative experience we had was the ants problem that ruined the pastries that we brought for a party we were going to attend to.
- 5/5
Thanks for the welcome snacks. Like the pool
- 5/5
Staff were very friendly. It was impossible to walk down the hall without someone saying hello and asking if you were having a good day. It is a good 20-25 minute walk to the Mission Valley shopping and San Diego trolley station. Internet access is not included in room rate.
- 2/5
I had to find a different hotel for the rest of my stay in San Diego. Check in went fine. The pillows were very uncomfortable/crunchy, but the bed was ok. The air was a bit stuffy in the room. My next door neighbor started making excessive, violent noise starting at 6 am, and it didn't let up (ended up leaving at quarter to 10 so I could checkout on time), even though quiet hours were in place between 10pm-8am. No complimentary breakfast, which I wasn't expecting or prepared for. I could've worked with these things, and communicated these things with the staff, but the thing that made it so I had no choice but to leave was that there were no room darkening tools in the room. There was thin, cheap, white blinds on the windows of the main area and in the bedroom. I have severe photophobia due to my two seizure conditions and neuro conditions. I was at high risk of a bad seizure just from lack of sleep from that noisy neighbor. But the fact that my brain wouldn't be able to rest throughout the day because of the constant light, and that naps or sleeping past sunrise would not be possible, I had to leave before I ended up in the hospital.
- 5/5
We stayed on a visit with family. We loved the property, it was a great stay at a great price.
- 5/5
We received more than we anticipated. We booked a two-bedroom Condo. The accommodations were new and clean, and everything smelled fresh. The check-in was speedy and the front desk person was kind and helpful. I did not see the homeless people one reviewer mentioned. Plus, we were conveniently located near shopping, entertainment, and restaurants. The only downside for me was the $25-a-night parking. That seems standard for the area though. They did try to get us to participate in a Timeshare. I was not interested. Thankfully, my husband wasn't with me so there wasn't much they could push without my spouse.
- 4/5
Requested top floor and worldmark was able to accommodate my request. Check in was pleasant, front desk personnel Summer was very nice, friendly and gave detailed info on the property. Only issue are other guest near our guestroom are awfully noisy. Also parking and internet you have to pay for.
- 4/5
Easy and convenient.
- 5/5
Clean and convenient.
- 4/5
The beds, cleanliness and hot tub Computer problems at check in and check out.
- 4/5
It was a great experience outside of my family and I arrival. The room wasnt ready and i was never notified as we drove 6 hours from Arizona to San Diego. The two front dest people who initially were there when we arrived were rude and unprofessional i believe one worker was named Carlos he was very rude. We came back two hours later and it was already pushing 9pm. Kelly was a big help and i appreciated that she so concern for the situation other than that kts a great place to say. Also the I never received the welcome package as that team just stared at me when i checked in.
- 5/5
Great acomodations, well equiped, friendly and helpful staff, clean and well conected to the city.
- 4/5
Very comfortable place, it's got a kitchen just like home away from home PAY FOR PARKING ....ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
- 2.5/5
The fact that you are strongly solicited to go to some meetings and all
- 5/5
The room was huge, comfortable and had everything we needed. Most importantly, itbwas clean. We had a pool view, which the kids thought was awesome. The free laundry facilities were convenient. The staff were suoer friendly and helpful. We were really pleased with our stay. The room smelled like someone had smoked in there. We got used to it, but when we would get back after being out all day, you could definitely smell it.
- 2.5/5
standard stuff ripp off on fees for everything, including very expensive parking, wifi, etc. Poor location for a 'resort' no view Lots of people continuously trying to sell you stuff and charge you for everything
- 5/5
expensive parking
- 3/5
it was alright. was hassled to take their quote on quote free seminar to buy time share but wanted out credit card. Had to pay for unsecured internet that half the time didn’t work. Have never had to may for internet before. No ice on floors had to go to front desk.
- 4.5/5
The staff was helpful, Tiffany, the receptionist was very friendly. Big bonus is free laundry on each floor. They tried to convince us to attend a time share presentation we were totally not interested to do.
