For the price I paid I was getting a what I paid for a place to sleep and near my work so all in all it was decent
- 1/5
It does not look like the pictures it’s a horrible hotel
- 1/5
Upon check-in, the clerk, she was very nice however there was nothing sad that there was no elevator or the elevator was out of service. The rooms were not clean and kept we contemplated going somewhere else, but we stuck it out since it was just one night. It was the weekend before Halloween so all the revelers were out and about, and if you looked at the building from the outside, it literally looked like a haunted house.
- 2/5
Be aware that for the price all you get is a bed and bathroom, rooms have no microwave, no mini fridge, no ice maker, no blow dryer, no coffee maker, no blankets ( we actually had to ask for it), elevator is not working (keep that in mind if you can’t walk up to the 4th floor). Not even averagely clean, the bathroom had lots of hair on the wall, floor was really dusty (highly recommend bringing flip flops), one of the blankets we asked for had a pill or tic tac inside, (I’m not sure what it was), towels and bed sheets were stained. We had to buy a cooler and ice from the supermarket nearby to keep drinks cold. As I said, price is what made me stay there, so I just sucked it up, but I would not stay there again.
- 5/5
just like the pictures
- 1/5
The room was cold and the heater didn’t work. Also, the control for the TV not work
- 2/5
It was in a pretty good location but the facilities looked abandoned. It smelled bad and there was never any staff members around.
- 2/5
Booked a room that stated “sleeps 3”. Thought ok either has a couch, pullout bed or was a king size….. incorrect to all it was just a queen bed! So my husband, myself and my 10 yo son slept in a single queen size bed like sardines! Plus the sheets didn’t even fit the bed so they kept bunching up and exposing the mattress (so gross). Flat pillows. Asked about the hair dryer that was supposed to be provided and they literally had to go hunt one down from somewhere and then brought it to us stating the electrical plug is cracked so be careful and don’t leave it plugged in!!! We stayed for a week and had to keep asking for towels and trash bags bc we had 1 tiny trash can for the whole room for 3 people.
- 1/5
Don't stay. There are ZERO accomidations aside from a roof over your head, and its under 100 bucks to stay. No parking, no cable, nasty pillows and be, disgusting furniture, broken elevator, vacant rooms downstairs that once used to be a barbed shop and a restaurant that was part of the Inn like 100 years ago. Im not going to list every detail. Don't stay here.
- 1/5
Very dirty and had a smell, have to work on cleaning.
- 2/5
You get what you pay for.
- 4/5
The staff is great. When we checked in, the girl went outside and stood in a spot for us to park. She then helped us carry our things upstairs since the elevator didn't work and I am disabled. The only bad thing to say is we had an unwanted visitor in our room. Long tail and squeeky. Loved the bay windows open to let the cool air in.
- 2/5
When booking the photos of the room looked promising but when we got in the floors were still dirty along with no AC or telephone to contact front desk. Both me and my girlfriend got a bug bite possibly from the bed. Also no parking available it took us about 20-30 min driving around to find a parking spot. Then when we found a spot to park our car got towed because it was barely blocking the driveway of the residents by the Inn which came out to 650 just to get out towing yard.

The location is ELITE. The hotel itself is probably the most raggedy thing in the neighborhood (which is good). The outside of the hotel looks scary and abandoned but allegedly it’s cause the hotel is under construction. The inside of the hotel isn’t great but it’s do-able. Broken elevator in the hallway but you get what you pay for. The location is really what makes me come back here. I’d stay again honestly. Hopefully they fix the elevator and outside of the hotel by then though.

Nice just needed ac
- 5/5
Great location, close to a lot of fun things. Remodeled room was nice and big. Loved the bay windows. Elevator was broken and looked like it had been for a while. We were on the 3rd floor, it was ok, but would have liked to know in advance. Would stay again.
- 5/5
Great staff!!! Worked for us.
- 5/5
I don't know the name of the guy who works at reception but he was very nice and easy to work out my 3 hour early check in.
- 1/5
The photo posted of the room didnt match. The room was dusty and dingy. Would not recommend at all.
- 1/5
I have lupus and I was got I have a room on the third floor and once I'm mentioned that I can't walk that far they gave my room in the second they're elevators were broken the shower the water came out cold there was no hot water so no I don't recommend this place again it was highly disappointed
- 5/5
I liked the place
- 4/5
The stay wasn’t too bad
- 5/5
Good
- 2/5
Was really disappointed, elevator didn’t work, room was stuffy with pretty much no amenities, mattress was old and gross and not comfortable, the key cards never really worked to get into the room, staff wasn’t very helpful however location was good
- 2/5
Elevator was broken with a bucket of water sitting in it.
- 1/5
The rooms look nothing like shown in the pictures. Its an old prop
- 5/5
Everything was simple and easy to book, staff was nice and friendly and helpful
- 1/5
There were no wifi for 3 days no hair dryer no cup in the room no cofffee maker no water to drink no lobby it was all under construction they did not clean the room for 4 days and we had to ask for towers the staff was nice but service is horrible they don’t offer nothing and no wifi
- 1/5
We wait forever that somebody came. He was unfriendly and when we talked about the free breakfast, he get angry and said it’s not his fault. I think would he be nicer and the motel cleaner it would be a better experience bc the people in sf are normally do friendly and helpful
- 3/5
For a cheap stay without parking, breakfast, fridge or microwave, it was decent. Because you'll walk everywhere and eat out. There is one front desk microwave (needs to be cleaned) Room itself was white, clean, long shower glass doors&bed comfy. They only offer queen beds. No breakfast. Our room on 2nd floor (4 floors- elevator is broken) had a tiny T.V small heater/a.c and the WiFi was spotty.
- 2/5
The windows are very old, and the building is in a busy corridor. All the noise enters the room. Also, the hotel building exterior had broken window and was vandalized on the first floor. It’s unacceptable to manage your property that way. It’s disrespectful to the community and to your guests.
- 1/5
I think the worst part is when I asked for parking, and the person in charge just toll me get a parking in the street, I drove 6 hrs I was so tired it's was midnight and take me like half hour driving around to find a spot, terrible
- 2/5
Very shabby but clean. Major pain to have the elevator not working. Nice people.
- 5/5
Great location, great price. Considering what a bargain this is, it is an excellent choice
- 4/5
The property is basic with clean beds, room and a nice bathroom. It is great value for location. The staff was extremely nice. The only downside is that they do not have parking and street parking is overwhelming, expensive and has to be changed every 2 hours. 10/10 score.
- 4/5
Not bad for the price. Everyone was nice, not fancy, but had a fairly updated shower. No hairdryer in room, but they had one at the desk they let me use. Was near lots of bars/restaurants. I would stay again for a cheap place to stay.
- 5/5
The room was clean and looked like they just recently remodeled it. The shower is nice and clean and so is the toilet. Has a mirror with built in lights. There are a few spots of some type of liquid that’s been splattered on window, and some on the wall. Bed was clean and sheets were clean. Overall, it’s a nice place. It got hot up on the 4th floor but the window opens up all the way. Elevator was broken and needed to walk up stairs. I will visit again.
- 5/5
I love visiting the city
- 1/5
Please save your self a head ache and book a much nicer cleaner hotel. This is not worth it. Our toilet would not flush and no one offered to fix it. We left and did not complete our stay. Found a much cleaner hotel by the wharf.
- 5/5
GREAT STAFF
- 5/5
Good and safe location, big and nice room, great value for money
- 5/5
Gets the job done for what you pay. No complaints.
- 5/5
Nice place.
- 5/5
The hotel is very basic, so if you are boujee, this is not the place for you. The sheets were clean and the noise was very minimal. The owner was incredibly nice and gave us options of room level and street facing. He also provided extra towels and pillows, and allowed us to keep our luggage there after checkout as we had a late flight. The location is amazing with plenty of restaurants within walking distance.
- 1/5
This hotel is dirty. Also, the hotel is on a hill and the head of the bed was downhill. The lock on the door didn't work.
- 1/5
RODENTS IN THE ROOM-THE WORST HOTEL EVER!!
- 5/5
We realized when booking the property, that it was an older building, so we understood it wouldn't be fancy, and that was fine. We had a clean comfortable room and the staff were very kind and helpful. It was a very safe and convenient location. I would recommend!
- 5/5
Great stay. Very economical but classy to a degree. Love the restaurant next door.
- 1/5
NO Parking. You have to park on the street we’re there is rampant homeless. The room had mold. I turned the sheets back and the Matt was strained and smelled like body order and urine. We left. Horrifying
- 1/5
The windows don’t close nor lock, and it’s freezing. The plug-in bathroom heater that was provided (to make up for the broken floor heater) doesn’t work and throws smoke when activated. Piss-poor effort, Marina Inn.
- 1/5
We got out and checked into another hotel as fast as we could. This place was really bad.
- 5/5
Excellent stay with comfortable bed, clean room, and kind staff! We had to change hotels last minute because the previous one didn't want to hold our bags for our early flight in and late flight out. Marina Inn had amazing, kind staff who held our bags before and after our stay. The room was lovely and clean (although it does look different than the features pictures). The street and area had zero homeless and was quiet. Marina Inn was also near many bus stops. Very happy and would stay here again!
- 1/5
This place was horrible. There were nail exposed in the floors, not carpeting, trash laying on the floor. There were burn holes in the very dirty sheets. We left and did not even sleep there.
- 1/5
Very dirty and nasty, everything was gross and the bed itched. Was o lot able to stay one night and I booked another hotel room because it was a ridicules atmosphere. That hotel should be closed because it’s very poorly maintained.
- 4/5
Friendly employees. Great location and price. Don’t expect any fancy furniture, but it has everything you need.
- 2/5
The pictures of this hotel on this site ARE NOT what we experience. Never will we stay here again .
- 2/5
The bedding and sheets were clean bedsides a few spots on the comforter. The room had an old San Francisco feel which we really enjoyed, with the old wallpaper, hard wood floors, and old paintings. Everything else was
- 1/5
I had to go to a different hotel.
- 1/5
The place located in really nice area, very close to everything , which is plus , but it not hotel type, it’s a motel , and my experience was not so good, I barely could stay there, everything was dusty and I had to clean the table and shelves before I put my things on it and the smell of nicotine still stayed in the air even though the windows were open , and I guess I didn’t expect this type of room it cost me 75$ per night but I guess it’s what you pay for I’m not sure if you can get something better for this price but the only plus I gonna it’s that the area and front desk were friendly and really tried to fulfill my needs by changing my pillows and bringing me extra cover and I complained about how dirty for me it was ! The next day I had to move to a nice hotel so I don’t have a feeling that I stayed in such a place in SF ,but overall I woudnt come back there ,I better spend more money or find a better place, but front desk people were nice ,which is good about this motel,if they would do some changes in the room and clean more , add some more of the things in the rooms it can be bookable
- 1/5
bad service not clean stains sheets
- 1/5
Place was dirty. Piles of garbage in the hallway. No ac . And the curtains were broken, no privacy.
- 2/5
This property needs a make over!!! The linens were disgusting I had the employee change the sheets and they were still dirty. Very noisy and sketchy. The building is cute very historic nice mirrors nice staff but the carpet throughout the whole building is disgusting and smells really foul AND the elevator doesn’t work either!!!
- 5/5
The manager was very kind and flexible. Thank you for being so kind and wonderful.
- 1/5
Misrepresentation on ad -no microwave in room, no breakfast, elevators not working. Needs to be gutted and renovated very filthy carpeting
- 4/5
Nice Area, and very nice staff. easy access to transportation
- 1/5
The front desk guy wasn't wearing a mask. How safe and clean could it be?
- 1/5
I dont recomend it at all. Blinds broken, mold in refrigerator bath, room smelll like old.this us a .0 star hoyel
- 2/5
Very bad place, not clean, avoid this location. A lot of noise at night you cant sleep.. terrible hotel..
- 1/5
Well where do i start.the hotel was ran by transients and was filthy.our room lacked basic amenities like clean bedding, carpet was filthy, toilet did not flush, no heat or air,the cable tv was off for hours.upon checkout we had to wait for a long time to get our deposit returned witch i paid in cash.over all it was terrible..so don't book this place, you won't be happy..thnx
- 5/5
Quiet time slept well
- 5/5
There is an excellent selecton of cable channels. Management is friendly and attentive. I have stayed here several times and I am happy to recommend this hotel.
- 1/5
I got there on the 14th at 11:30 PM. I sent a text to the hotel I was checking in late. When I got there I waited until 12:10 AM (called , walked around looking for help ) and nobody was at the from desk to help me check in. So I had to get a hotel somewhere else. I like to get my money back please. Contact me 206-458-2988
- 2/5
Such potential waisted. Good location, good price, very shabby condition. The hotel has not been renovated for at least 50 years. The carpet had wholes and the paint was peeling. Towels were thin and threadbare as if they have been washed a thousand times before. Great possibilities if anyone put even a little effort to fix up.
- 1/5
i didnt like anything i didnt even stay there i left coukdnt do it
- 4/5
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great location, walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go. Older place and worth what we paid.
- 1/5
My neighbor had the tv up all the way, and no one would ask him to turn it down. Had to flee in the middle if the night
- 5/5
The hotel was cool with friendly staff.
- 3/5
It wasn’t what I expected. Still waiting for my $100 dollar deposit back.
- 1/5
Horrible experience!! Dirty, no hot water, carpets were dirty through out the hotel.
- 5/5
Very cute. The front desk was very helpful and the room was nice. Parking is a little difficult but not the inn’s fault!
- 3/5
It was ok. Great price for being so close to the beach and other beautiful areas in our wonderful City. But the place is quiet , fairly clean , if a little more than run down. But the location is SPECTACULAR and the price is right.
- 4/5
Very comfortable experience. This is one of my favorite "budget" options in San Francisco.
- 3/5
The staff treated us as though we were underhanded and up to no good. I was even accused by one staffer of doing drugs but "he didnt want any trouble." It was a bargain rate but no great shakes. Theres better for near the price right in the same block.
- 3/5
The staff can be somewhat rude as they think know it all.
- 1/5
Rats in my room! The hotel is very dirty, the concierge in the front is very rude and low class, I had mice in my room and requested a a refund to check out. He called the police and told them that I was stealing the hotel room. The police said he would give me a refund and he never did. This hotel has a case opened with the sanitation department. They say they have free breakfast but they don’t. The WiFi has poor connection. Not worth staying here.
- 1/5
The location is wonderful and you can easily walk to many tourist spots. However, the towels, carpets, and sheets were dingy and stained. It was cold in the room, even I asked if we could have more heat. No extra blankets, coffee, tea, pen, notepad, phone book, tv info, or tissues in the room. The sink didn’t drain. It was a terrible visit.
- 4/5
Good enough
- 4/5
The hotel is a way to travel to the past. Front desk staff was so kind and greeted me for my birthday. I loved the vintage feel of it walking through and in the room. Bed was comfortable. Only dislike was hearing others slam their bedroom doors like crazy.
- 3/5
Please improve the room cleaning service (blankets, pillows, chairs looks and smell dirty). In 4 days they never changed my blankets. Windows were broken. Couldn’t close complete.
- 2/5
I liked that the hotel has explosive potential at being a rare fine off the beaten path. I hate this hotel does not remotely approach that potential. I guess for 50 bucks a night you can't expect much more.
- 5/5
Had a great stay. Good location and friendly staff
- 5/5
Every thing was nice. Complementary continental breakfast perfect . Thank you
- 1/5
This place was so dirty. There was a pen in the corner of the room that had dust on it ....so clearly they never moved the pen to vacuum the carpet! The walls were so thin ....and the door to the room, had about a 2 inch gap from hall to room. The WiFi didn't work. The TV didn't turn (only one channel to watch) & the sink filled with water every time it was used! My key card didn't work the 2nd night so I had to go up and down 3x to have someone come and take a look at it. There was no bed skirt on the bed so you could see the metal frame and box spring (weird!). There was no redeeming qualities to speak of.
- 5/5
Easy to check in and out. Friendly staff and brought any extra towels or shampoo instantly.
- 1/5
No air conditioning, the window had no screen so impossible to cool the room down
- 3/5
Nice price for a room which had location convenient for our trip.
- 1/5
Dump of a place... would never recommend to anyone...
- 1/5
The "continental breakfast" is bananas, hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, and toast. If we were planning to stay longer than 3 days I would have switched hotels. This was probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed in.
- 3/5
Good location within walking distance of Fisherman’s Warf
- 5/5
Included a continental breaky which was great as I wasn't roaming the streets looking for something to eat. Walk able to town and in a great area. I think value for money.
