Never mentioned anywhere that this is a COVID MOTEL! After we checked in there was “shelter in place” workers everywhere and they were extremely rude. They would not let us or our visitors in and out of the hotel without harassing us about our reservation. We had 2 rooms paid for but only were able to use one due to these WEIRD AND CRAZY rules that were, once again, NEVER MENTIONED! We ended up leaving early because of how HORRIBLE it was. DO NOT STAY HERE!

I have Stay in the past in this hotel I knew I was not the best but this tile was all bad the rims were so bad not clean the heather was broken and the weather was cold outside. Had to ask for a portable heather twice. Also they were questioning my guest when having visitors. They had a shelter going on some type of program and they did not tell me that when I made the reservation. I would never stay in this hotel again.

The Oasis is a modestly priced choice in the Civic Center area. The rooms are clean but the beds soft and room furniture shaky. While convenient, with parking, the area is beset by homeless encampments so you need to be prepared for occasional outbursts and to step around obstructions on the sidewalks. Right now (Feb 2020) there is some construction nearby so expect trucks and crews and beeping starting at 7 am. It seems the Oasis is used for foreign student programs (Basecamp), so there is an international hostel flavor. There were ants in the bathroom, but I have them at home, too.

There is a reason why this is a budget hotel. I wasn't expecting much, but when I arrived, half of the floor in the room was soaked (with I'm hoping rain water?), with burn holes in the carpet and what looked like some abstract art in the curtains from someone rubbing their makeup off on it. The room wasn't cleaned before I arrived, as there was still lipstick smeared on the table and stuff on the floor. The heating/cooling also was not functioning, it was just heat all the time. Luckily you could turn it off and it was cool enough that I could deal without it and was only here in the evenings.

It was fine. The planted courtyard was cute. It did offer a nice retreat from the surrounding area which can be a little rough. It's a basic 2 star motel that gets the job done, so it met my expectations. My room had a decent sized mini fridge, which was a nice surprise. Front desk staff was friendly. The wi-fi worked reliably.

Got lucky with a decent room, 308. Was nervous about bed bugs considering old mattresses were still in the garage. Garage is gated but there was evidence of broken glass on few spots. Overall just ok would not stay here again just because of location. Streets are filled with homeless tents and smells terrible. AC in the room will not activate when it's colder outside and opening the windows won't do cuz noise level and stench is terrible. Vending machines out of stock was annoying

This place was horrible. Everything about it was bad. I am not a picky person when it comes to hotels. I’ve stayed at 2 star motels many times before. This place had a bad location. There were so many homeless people outside. And it smelled like urine and feces. The hotel room was old. The phone was old, the bed was old, the curtains, chairs, bathroom, everything. Even the faucet, both sides were labeled cold. The bathroom was super dirty. The side of the bathtub had this brown gunk splattered on it. We called for a cleaning and no one ever came. The shower curtains looked like they weren’t changed after the last stay. There was mold in the shower too. There was no phone book to call the front desk. And there was no central AC! The only new thing was the tv. Other than that, everything else was bad. I’ve never stayed at a worst place than this. I won’t be staying here again. I wouldn’t recommend it for even short stays. Spend the extra $50/night to stay at a little nicer place. This was not worth $150/night.

The staff were polite and they have a lift, so getting cases up to the top floors is not an issue. Carpark is secure, which is why I picked it in the first place. There are a lot of homeless/crazies in the area, but to be fair there are loads all over the city. I would suggest staying there for a single night would be fine if you're a heavy sleeper.

The room was ok. We only needed to stay one night but any more than that would have made it unacceptable. We requested a non smoking room but the cigarette smell was overwhelming. It may have been smoked in before us or maybe the smell seeped in somehow but it made the room unpleasant to be in. Everything was just ok, definitely needs upgrades, everything was just below average. There was free parking which in San Francisco is a plus. We didn't walk around the area but it was fairly close to some local landmarks. Overall we probably would not stay there again. Not the worst but also would not recommend.

The location was perfect for our trip. On site parking is a huge plus. Our room was a great size and the bed was really comfortable. The pillows were very small and only had 3 (did not have extras in room). The bathroom was clean and the shower was hot with great water pressure. Our only complaint was that the carpet at our front door and all the way to our bathroom was soaking wet. The front desk said it was from the previous day's rain. They did not offer to move us or compensate us. They did allow us to go down to the lobby to pick up extra towels to lay on the floor. Even with the multiple layers of towels the floor was wet and we could not walk in that area without shoes on. I'd have to think twice about staying here again, but I wouldn't rule it out.

I wanted a place to stay within walking distance of the opera, with parking. The Oasis seemed to fit the bill, and the price was very reasonable. But the room was not particularly clean--long black hairs in a clean bath towel--and the condition of the room was very battered and worn. Several lights didn't work--and nor did the little in-room refrigerator which only made a cool temperature in the freezer section when turned on to full. I needed it for medicine, but fortunately the gel packs in my portable cooler held out. The "heat lamp" in the bathroom was nothing more than an ordinary fluorescent light bulb. The foam mattress on the bed was disintegrating and was totally lumpy with a large valley in the center. Interesting holes in the wall, too. The top of the beside table was battered, as though someone had hit it with a hammer. Extra and superfluous chairs were stuck around, like they didn't have anyplace else to put them. I will not stay there again.

Room was completely clean and the staff was friendly and responsive.

I have stayed at the Oasis several times over the last few years. It is a sparse, budget motel in a great location and has free parking. The building itself is old and in need of updating. Rooms are adequate. On my last visit, the desk lamp was not working, and the shower was dirty (long hairs sticking to the shower walls). However, the hotel is in an extremely convenient location and has free parking. On recent visits that has been a noticeable increase in the number of homeless people on the alley next to the hotel, who are often quite loud at night. If you are looking for a cheap place to sleep and park your care for the night, the Oasis is a good value.

I did have to leave the window open to keep it cool and comfortable. Although, if you are sensitive to noise, when I laid down on the bed, there was a slight buzzing like there's a generator below me. But I think it lulled me to sleep rather than keep me awake.
