Checked into the hotel at almost 4pm and got the key card. Went up to the room and housekeeper told me the bed was not made yet and there were no towels in the room too. So waited patiently while they get that ready. Found out later that evening the bathroom sink, toilet and shower were having problems draining. Took a while for the toilet to flush and also took a while for the other two to drain as well. Not only that, the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash containers in the shower were empty! Would probably not stay in again.

Nice big room. Friendly staff. The neighborhood is fine. Its downtown sf so dont expect it to be like NYC in the 2000s its more like NYC in the 70s. If ya know ya know

Parking was a challenge. Very tight spaces

It’s convenient that’s the only nice thing I can say.

This place is awful, and this man who says he is not the manager, but is clearly the manager will try to scam you every which way he can. Do yourself a favor and do not book a room here.
- 1/5
Without exaggeration, this is the worst hotel experience of my life. The guy who runs it and says he’s not the manager is the manager. He will make all kinds of excuses for the poop and his parking lot and the air conditioning that doesn’t work and the mold in the bathroom and the lack of shampoo and conditioner in the shower. Don’t forget the abundance of black mold and bedbugs. He will charge you $35 if somebody comes and visit you while you’re staying there. He advertises that there’s free parking and he will let you park in his six parking spots if you get there in time.… But then he’ll also tell you that he’s not responsible when somebody breaks into your car. Even though there are cameras all over the place and he sleeps behind the office he will not wake up to yell at someone if they’re breaking into the cars. There’s no mini fridge. The shower doesn’t really work and is super outdated. Everything about this place is awful. Then when it’s time to check out, he will come banging at your door. 15 minutes prior to check out. If you’re one minute late for checking out, they will charge you for that also. Also, they apparently tried to charge everybody a smoking fee, whether you smoke or not. He’s just a con man. It’s just like the sleazy in keeper from Les Mis… Charge them for the lights extra for the mice. This is a dead city full of zombies and this man is there to make sure and tax you for every penny during your stay in zombie town. Beware!!

Stayed here recently and had a very disappointing experience. Our room had a hole in one of the walls, the shower would not get hot and also would not drain properly, which made it difficult to use. AC wasn’t working in first room so they moved us to another and moved us back to original room promptly after fixing it. On top of that, staff repeatedly called our room after 10 AM asking if we were checking out, even though checkout is clearly listed as 11 AM. We received multiple calls and felt harassed and rushed out before checkout time. Overall the stay did not match expectations and I would not stay here again.

I left 20 minutes after checking in. This hotel is not in a safe place at all. Do NOT recommend for solo travelers. I had to drive around people sleeping on the sidewalks to get into the hotel. When I checked in and signed the papers the clerk told me to take everything out of the car and bring it into the room because it was not safe. I requested reimbursement because I did not feel safe there, but haven’t received anything yet. It’s a pretty big deal for me to leave or not feel safe somewhere.

- 1/5
Horrible the area nothing but homeless we paid for 2 days didn’t even stay the second day lost out on our money horrible
- 4/5
The AC remote to room 214 did not appear to be working. It was a warm day on Saturday, my arrival. Woman working on site was friendly and allowed me to park as I visited a festival about 11am without checking in. I was given a password for the wifi which did not work which wasn't so bad as I was able to do without my pc for 2 days.

I booked for a double bed. The manager gave me a double bed room then 20 minutes later came to the room and tried to tell me I did not book for a double bedroom that I booked for a queen bedroom with one bed it was very adamant about it. I had to show him my approve of reservation for my double beds and when I was going to go get something to eat later that day, I left the light on in the room and the lady came and asked me to turn off all the lights, but she was very rude about it. They act like they don’t want guests there. They’re very unwelcoming I ask for towels they told me they didn’t have any anymore for the next day not only that when I entered the room there was linen on the bed. I didn’t know if it was dirty or clean, but they tried to assure me it was clean, but it looked like dirty linen staff was very rude. Needless to say would never return.

3 minute walk from there to the great American music hall. Parking is free, and the guy inside helped me out past 12am when I locked myself out like an idiot. It was a little noisy at night due to traffic but otherwise it was fine!

Clean rooms with accessible parking- walking distance to great restaurants. Everything worked well. One draw back is the street noise and car alarms on the street side. Rating 9 out of 10. Cheers.
- 5/5
The only thing was that the shower floor had stains on them that were unappealing. But you can tell it’s not due to cleanliness & it’s out of a cleaning scope, & needs to be refinished. But it doesn’t affect the usability.

Unclean sheets, poor customer service, absolutely not allowed to check-in before 3pm nobody at desk when it’s convenient, they have a problem with dark skinned people stereotyping/profiling! Addicts camped out on stairs. It is a husband/wife that run the hotel and the wife is very discriminating to people that check in.

The rooms were clean great condition . The area was terrible a lot of homeless the main reason why I booked was because parking lot was convenient. I traveled with my spouse and daughter 2nights . On the last night I had to call the police because there was a homeless outside of the room yelling trying to get in our room. I thank the staff because they were really nice however our stay was very unpleasant.
- 4/5
Personal was very friendly and helpful. Free parking was a big plus. Security was very good despite the location. Location was a bit sketchy. A lot of homeless people milling about and druggies shooting up around the perimeter.
- 4/5
Room was clean and well kept. Easy to get into the business district via foot or by taxi/waymo.
- 1/5
Constant street noise and loud long-term tenants made it difficult to get a full night's sleep. Front office is antiquated and slow; it took the better part of half an hour just to get the final bill at checkout where I would normally expect it to be slipped under the door during the night. No coffee machines in the rooms or the office, no breakfast offered, parking was completely exposed (not gated). I will not be returning.

It was a convenient walk to the Civic Center but my goodness just spend that extra $100 for a nicer place around the corner. Very limited and unsafe parking on site. The sports were also very tight so if you have a bigger car, be weary. There was a puddle of piss on the stairs with random socks and a horrid smell. We literally had to hold our breath going up and down the stairs (no elevator). Housekeeping was knocking on our door 20 minutes before check out??? Unacceptable. The surrounding area is nothing but homeless people and people on drugs. At least 5 in the direct area walking around the parking lot. Surrounding parking was $35 a night. NOW the room itself wasn’t bad. It was clean, no smell, strong AC. Very small but that was expected. No fridge nor microwave. But everything else was just terrible. NEVER AGAIN. Save your money and go for a Best Western or something

very unsafe area so much that I was afraid to check in and left because of the sheer volume of druggies and a fight that broke out among them

Overall, the room was comfortable and clean. I was satisfied with my stay.
- 2/5
Parking was good. The rest rooms needed updating. No refrigerator or ice available.

The room was good, but it didn't have a mini fridge. The area is notoriously dirty, lots of homeless, but they didn't pose a threat. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes, and stores nearby.

- 2/5
Very run down part of town. Lots of homeless and substance use

I felt safe and was appreciative of parking being included. It was a short walk away from multiple fun food and entertainment options. Great place in the tenderloin
- 3/5
I would not stay here again.

Not having a refrigerator was a bummer. Shower had standing water. It's priced right and employees are helpful and nice.
- 2/5
The hotel was decent and the manager was very kind and helpful. But the area around the hotel was sketchy.
- 5/5
The people that were working were very nice and friendly. The surrounding area was kind of loud at night but I was able to sleep.
- 4/5
It’s not located in the best area of San Francisco
- 3/5
Nice for the price. Included parking.
- 4/5
Very nice for the location. Would be better if rooms had a fridge and microwave. Property also needs ice machine.
- 4/5
Room was really nice. Communication with person was difficult because couldn't understand what he was saying through plexiglass. Deposit was almost as much as the room, and 4 days later I'm still waiting to get it back.

Got there early and was allowed to check in. Room was super clean.

Clean quiet, comfortable. Loved everything about this place will definitely be back.
- 4/5
Stay was nice, although parking was rough and filled quickly, still always got a spot. I do wish there was a fridge or microwave in the room but there was not. Nice shower though and clean room! Would/ will stay again.
- 1/5
We had 5 people total. 3 in one and 2 in the other. When it came to check out, he was giving me a hard time saying I only booked one room for 2 and that he is going to have to charge an extra person fee. I booked for 3 btw. He was so confident that I booked for 2. He went to bring back the paper I signed and it said 2 NIGHTS and 3 GUESTS. This guy needs to double check himself before trying to call out customers. He also made a copy of my ID & my credit card. Is that legal??? I also had to write my address and ID number on the paper he gave which was weird. We had a terrible experience here. The rooms are A LOT smaller than what the photo shows. It felt so dirty. The blow dryer is so outdated. I've never seen a blow dryer like that ever. The tube where the air is supposed to come out is yellow?? It looked so gross and crusty. The water was NOT draining the bathtub. There were so many things wrong about this place like I really cannot put it in a review. I really should've done better research.
- 3/5
This hotel is located in the middle of Centro so it is noisy all day and night
- 4/5
Overall a good place to stay, FREE PARKING is a plus. The area can be a little sketchy but overall OK one of the nights I stay there was a little noisy with some people staying across from me otherwise I felt pretty safe there with my son for my four nice stay

great little hotel downtown SF - best part was FREE PARKING!!!!
- 2/5
The rooms are clean but there were not shampoo or conditioner. The receptionist was not friendly at all and made us wait until 3:10pm. We arrived at 2:50. The surrounding area bet unsafe. A lot of homeless and very dirty. I won’t ever come back
- 4/5
The TV and the shower. I didnt like the area. It was sketchy
- 4/5
Parking is weird and limited.
- 2.5/5
I didn’t like much but was ok with the very basics which were there. It’s in the shittiest part of the city… drug addicts and prostitutes hang out in the lot, lots of open air drug sales and panhandling at all hours of the day/night.
- 3/5
SF is known to have transients, but the location of this hotel had more than usual.
- 3/5
The man working the front desk was kind and hospitable; the other staff not so much. They were RUDELY banging on our door at 10:58am, when check-out is 11:00am. There are very limited parking spaces, maybe 10 total for like 30 rooms. Luckily we were in walking distance of a CVS and our destination so we didn't have to move our car. Shower floor was dirty (or stained, couldn't tell) and everything seemed to have a fine layer of dust on it, but seemed otherwise the room seemed clean.
- 5/5
Property has plenty of cameras but the surrounding area was sketchy and full of homeless people.
- 3/5
Dirty rag left on carpet upon return. Agressive atmosphere.
- 3/5
The hotel was located in a not-so safe area of San Francisco. There were quite a few homeless people hanging around during the day until the police asked them to leave the area. They did leave, but came back within two hours. They didn't bothered me, but their presence made me feel unsafe.
- 3.5/5
Lots of homeless around but that’s pretty standard for the disgusting city of San Francisco.
- 3/5
However, there were two significant concerns that affected our overall experience. First, we noticed what appeared to be human waste in the stairwell. Unfortunately, even after bringing it to the staff’s attention, it was not addressed during our stay. Second, the bathtub had visible stains that resembled bodily fluids or blood, which was unsettling.
- 4/5
Staff was friendly. Room was nice. Bed was comfortable but outside across the street from the hotel is dirty
- 3/5
Bed was a little itchy. They need hypoallergenic laundry detergent. There was some kinda of mark in the bathtub.
- 4/5
hotel nice and clean
- 4/5
Area must have been cleaned up after some of the reviews. Yes there are homeless people. No they aren’t looking to harm you. I stayed by myself and I am a small woman. I went off the property to smoke on the sidewalk and I wasn’t scared. Just have to be smart. Bed was comfy, shower was great, room was clean. Aside from the occasional siren which is to be expected in a more urban area, the property itself was ultra quiet. I came for concerts at the civic center and I wanted something that was in walking distance. I would definitely recommend this place to people like me who don’t care about luxury when they travel.
- 3.5/5
no coffee pot
- 0.5/5
Nothing at all It was not clean. The shower was disgusting. It smelled. Homeless people all around.
- 2.5/5
I was there for an overnight stay before cardiac surgery. It is only two blocks from the hospital which had a great deal to my picking it, as I could walk to the hospital. Horrible area now. I lived in SF in the late 70's and I feel sorry for the Hotel owners as the area has filled with the detritus from the Market St crackdown.
- 4/5
Comfortable bed. Clean room.
- 5/5
The new mayor of San Francisco seemed to have cleaned up some of the homeless encampments in the area so it's easier to navigate the sidewalks. The room itself is still immaculate so I don't really have complaints.
- 5/5
very clean and comfortable. good service and location. the heater did not work. room 204
- 5/5
The hotel was clean, the beds comfortable, the staff great, but outside across the street was a lot of drug activity. Still, this is a good hotel and I will stay there again in the future.
- 4/5
Good place, clean room, rough area but overall great.
- 5/5
It convenient and not to far from the strip.
- 0.5/5
There was no one at the front desk during check in time. I waited 30 minutes and nobody showed up. I had to book another hotel.
- 5/5
It was close to everything
- 2/5
The owner had a very bad attitude.Place was clean.Location was not good as it’s right in a very bad neighborhood.People doing crack on the stairs going to our room.Would not recommend this place.
- 1/5
They are not honest about the deposit, they charged me $150 while the quality of the hotel and the original price per night is 100, but they denied to refund my deposit, while I asked them about my deposit refund they told me that they have made a refund so it is on hold by the bank, then I called the bank on rightway, the bank said that their is no money deposited by them. Then they told me that they are waiting for the owner to check if there is no demage in the room. How this is possible while I left the room one day ago? and there was no demage.
- 2/5
We checked in Friday for 2 nights. At 3 O'Clock on Saturday, Housekeeping knocked and ooened the door. Asked if we were staying and when we answered, YES, She said "You have to pay!" A few minutes later the front desk called and questioned whether or not He had checked Us in for 1 night or 2! It was inconvenient to be interrupted. There is also NO in room microwave, fridge or coffee maker.
- 4/5
Muy Limpio y estacionamiento incluido en el precio, aunque hay pocos puestos para parquear.
- 4/5
Was great!
- 1/5
The environment was so alarming that we decided to leave the very next day for a safer location. To make matters worse, when we approached the manager about our concerns and requested a refund for the nights we didn’t stay due to safety reasons, he flatly refused. This place is not suitable for families, especially with underage daughters. I will be reporting this situation as it is completely unacceptable. Do yourself a favor and avoid Hotel Alexis Park

- 4/5
I am lowering the rating of this hotel because upon check-in they ask for a credit card and make a copy of it on a Xerox machine on both sides, which I consider unacceptable and safe, anyone who receives this sheet will be able to use the card (all data including CVV remains on the copy). If suddenly from my card *1523 they start withdrawing money that I did not make, I will immediately remember the actions of the hotel staff. The hotel itself is located not so far from the center, but there are a lot of homeless people on the streets, although this is more likely a problem not only for the hotel. There is free parking on the territory, but there may not be enough parking spaces. The room itself is clean, expectations met.
- 1/5
The only good thing I have to say about this place is the parking, which was still not that great! The house keepers were very invasive, in early morning before check out a house keeper peaked through our window to see if we were in there. Then one of the other guest had a house keeper open their room while they were in there without permission asked! I sleep on my left side and when I woke up from one night of sleeping in that bed I broke out with acne on that side of my face. I decided not to even use the shower bc there was mold in it. The receptionist was rude and impatient and he seemed annoyed to even be helping. The area surrounding is definitely not the safest. Bc of that we were worried about having a safe night sleep. Overall it was the opposite of clean and both the homeless and workers were not making us feel welcomed. We are travelers on a budget and this is the worse place we’ve ever been to!!
- 4/5
The area around the property is pretty sketchy... The Hotel itself is nice and clean.
- 2/5
Room renovated and generally functional WiFi worked only intermittently. Hot water poor in the mornings and showered lukewarm warm at best. Many homeless and trash and needles on the stairs
- 4/5
There is a convenient coffee shop with breakfast across the street. There are many restaurants in the area for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and are walking distance. The location has homeless loud noise and graffiti on surrounding buildings and vehicles. The area is known as the Tenderloin and is full of street trash, feces, and homeless people on the streets.
- 5/5
Great room. Very clean! Limited parking but overall great stay! Would definitely book again!
- 5/5
great property
- 2/5
The room was not bad in itself, however the surrounding area will also shock you if you are not used to big US cities like I was. The nearby streets had a lot of homeless tents on the sidewalks and open drug use from people roaming around.
- 1/5
They had no elevators and my friend fell down their stairs from the 2nd step to the bottom. It was so scart
- 3/5
I would have rated this higher but for the location and noise (both of which are outside of the property’s control). This hotel is in an area with a lot of homeless and a fire station in the area. As I am a light sleeper, the sirens kept me up. Tony was amazing!
- 3/5
No house keeping for a 2 night stay. But for the money it was worth it. I just didn’t like the homeless that surrounded the property
- 2/5
Got charged for 3 nights when I only stayed 2. If you book through a 3rd party site/app, make sure you let the attendant know before you present your card. Aside from that, it’s a decent spot for the price. Location was a little rough but if you’re an adult and are smart you’ll be fine.
- 5/5
The area hotel is located less safe!!
- 4/5
The picture of the shampoo and conditioner is misleading because it's not inclusive of all rooms. The room itself is immaculate but there was a mosquito or several mosquitoes in the room which didn't help in getting a good night's sleep. I would recommend the owners get an indoor bug zapper. I would say that the ownership shows honesty in a questionable neighborhood and so it's good for travelers who know where they want to go outside of the neighborhood. Not necessarily a child friendly neighborhood for children but somewhat ideal for singles and couples that want to tour the city.
- 5/5
We feel like this is definitely a little hidden gem despite the surrounding area. The room is very clean and so is the property. This is a family owned property and it has free parking which you don’t usually get in the city. Staff was friendly and we had no issues. This was our second time staying here and will definitely be back!
- 1/5
Literally homeless people living in alley right next to hotel parking lot. Apparent drug deals occurring as we pulled in. Too unsafe to even consider staying with a child and leaving our vehicle unattended in the lot. Had to find other accommodation with no notice
- 4/5
The hotel was a good value. It was inexpensive, so I didn’t expect too much. I wish the proprietors could have dealt with the unhoused a little better. The hotel is open to the street so people can walk right up. I had to avoid people sometimes but I never felt unsafe.
- 2/5
I stayed for 5 days and at no time did they come to clean the room.
- 2/5
Towels were dirty. Wifi didnt work. The blowdrier was broken.
- 4/5
Overall we had a great stay at Alexis Park Inn. The area has a lot around it, even if it feels a little rough (usual SF homeless and noise). The room was clean and had all amenities listed. Staff were all attentive and seem to care about the property. There is limited parking, but it felt safe and well-managed. Perfect little breakfast cafe (grab and go - not a sit down) place across the street! They also had lunch sandwiches and Bahn mi, etc. Was very convenient for ride share to pick up and drop-off. Would stay here again.
- 2/5
The owners are out there constantly cleaning, painting, taking care of the place, the best they can, and they are very much trying to make this a great place. Unfortunately, it is located between 210 encampments and the neighborhood is pretty sketchy five stars to the owners who are very much trying to make it a nice place to stay. I felt very comfortable inside my room, but the neighborhood was what the neighborhood was. If you don’t get uncomfortable easily, there are so many fantastic food options within walking distance but you were not walking through a nice neighborhood. For the price overall it was nice accommodation but the neighborhood is very sketchy and I know that it’s not reflect upon the owners. The owners were giving 110%.
- 1/5
All bad
- 3/5
There was no shampoo or conditioner in the room although the room itself was very clean. There was a soap for body washing which makes it better than a Motel 6.
- 5/5
Very clean. Great restroom and plantation shutters. Just love this place.
- 2/5
Sketchy area
- 1/5
DON'T STAY HERE!!!!. The area is over run with homeless, and the area is sketch as hell. Crime is high in SF, and this looks to be in one of the worst areas. It is not worth the risk.

We stay here often when we go to the city for music. Right next to Great American Music Hall. Close to Fillmore as well. The neighborhood is a bit rough "Tenderloin" but the rooms are a great value. Free parking too.

Dated but not bad. Furniture was ok, but upholstery and carpet needs a good deep cleaning! Smelled exceptionally weird in there! Walkway/stairs were dirty and smelled like urine (probably the homeless guy living at the bottom of the stairs). Not a lot of parking places, but we parked there fine. Only one tiny bar of soap in the bathroom so bring your own shampoo/body wash/lotion! Homeless were noisy but we just left the tv on. For the price it was fine! Check in was easy through a walk up window. We stayed in the city because we live 5 hours away and I was having an early morning surgery there, so just needed a bed for a few hours and it worked for that.

Ok hotel, bad area. This hotel must be near a hospital because there were ambulance sirens going off every twenty minutes or so. The area is not the best, lots of homeless people on the street, people urinating on the sidewalk, people on quads and motorcycles doing stunts on the street. There is also no security and a small parking lot so make sure you do not leave anything in view, noticed a guy looking into car windows. Overall an ok hotel in a bad area, we stayed one night to see a concert nearby at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, it is walkable but I would be cautious of your surroundings.

I wasn't aware of the neighborhood when booking this place, we felt very unsafe. The manager was rude as well. Very unpleasant experience.

I would never, ever stay here again. Absolutely horrific neighborhood, drunk people yelling all night long until the cops showed up and dragged them away screaming and throwing stuff at each other, a druggie smashing at my door trying to get in at 3am, homeless camps surrounding it, I felt so unsafe I didn’t sleep a wink. I’d never, ever stay here again.
