Reviews
The hotel is praised for its prime location near the Presidio, Marina District, and Golden Gate Bridge, as well as its friendly and helpful staff. However, the property is described as worn, dated, and in need of repair, with cleanliness being a concern for some guests. The rooms are described as small and basic, but comfortable and adequate for the price.

The property was unclean outside on the grounds. Inside our room, we found old very stained unholstered chair, and a very filthy dirty bathroom with black mold in the shower, under soap holder, in every crack and crevice of the bathroom (which was everywhere), black mold in the window area and floor boards. Checked out after our first night as we found it unhealthy and unsafe to stay in the room. Staff at the front desk was unavailable. Only able to leave a written message for the manager to call regarding our stay and why we left without completing our reservation. Property manager never returned my written request nor my direct messaging with the property itself through text. Unable to discuss a refund of my Sexond night. Price was exhibitant, over $625 for 2 nights in an unhealthy, unsanitary and dirty small motel room. I would not ever recommend this Travel Lodge at the Presidio. The health department should look into the insafe health risks is this motel. I will be following up w contact to the Wyndom Company.

Location was great. No handicap access, no elevator. Parking is inadequate, not enough spaces. Room is tiny, not enough space for 2. TV was broke.

NO Strict 11am checkout when checking in late and staying out past midnight in the City.

This was the perfect base for our short trip to San Francisco. You get what you pay for and can’t complain, the room was clean, comfortable beds and towels changed everyday. Location is perfect for the Golden Gate Bridge and a short walk down to the marina area, then it’s a nice straight walk along to Fisherman’s Wharf etc. Can’t comment on the breakfast as we didn’t have it but it looked lacking so I’d say if you want a substantial breakfast to eat out/on the go.
- 4/5
Location is perfect for walk to the Presidio. Bodega is next door, pizza restaurant next door. Rooms are small and very run down. Beds were ok. Bathroom was disgusting, chunks of wall missing, standing shower only and was coated in black mold.
- 5/5
Great location for morning or late evening activities. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating with our requests. Great place to stay with family or as a couple. It was SF at night our teenagers in their own room across from ours. A dim lit watering hole a block away to shed the last hours of the night and great sandwiches next door to take to the Palace of Fine Arts the next day.
- 1.5/5
Other than its location, nothing. Pity to be part of the Wyndham yet so rundown and minimalistic. Bathroom- molds and cracks, pretty run down needs remodeling or refreshing asap. Room- while it’s okay sized, with those old fashioned desk and chair, there’s almost no room left. Noise- I could literally hear everything outside, cars, people walking up and down, talkings, left with little sleep.
- 4/5
The bed is comfortable. Staff have always been friendly. The area is quiet. Everything else is ok. I will be back.

Our room was on the corner of the ground floor, very private with plants that made you feel like you were in a garden as you went into your room. The room was spotless and cleaned daily with fresh towels. It was private and very quiet. My only complaint with facilities is that there was nowhere outside to take trash so all trash had to be left for the cleaning team, which I dislike having to do.

Very kind staff!

Toilet had dried urine drops on it and sink/mirror was not wiped down. Floor was dirty and there was a gap under door that allowed bugs in - found a few spiders. The bedskirt was absolutely hideous and the chair was just as bad. Wouldn’t even put shoes on it. I get that it’s a 2 star hotel but cleanliness cannot be ignored to that extent! Throughout the night there was an intermittent, but LOUD, banging noise on the roof (like someone was nailing something); woke us up every time. Massive improvements needed to make this place worthy of 2 stars.
- 3/5
We’re lucky to find parking inside, they were sold out. The location is great!! It’s surrounded by more motels and restaurants.
- 1.5/5
location The cleanliness of the room was poor. There were a lot of dirt spots, dead insects on the bathroom ceiling, and even a hair on the toilet. The trash bin had not been emptied after the previous guests. I also saw a spider on the bed. The AC was working very loudly. The breakfast was very limited — just coffee and some snacks — and breakfast started quite late, at 8 a.m. The Wi-Fi was also very slow. Another thing I didn’t like was that before check-in, I tried to contact the hotel through the Booking.com chat, but they never responded to me.

Beds were comfortable and you got 4 pillows per bed. Super quite place to stay.
- 3/5
Close to Presidio.
- 2/5
Lots of signs of water damage on ceiling and floor moldings. Not well kept. Not well maintained. Desk staff was phenomenal but I needed to leave because of the cleanliness issues.
- 2.5/5
At check-in the guy was very nice. The room was clean and we were on bottom level which was nice. The location was close to what we wanted. Afraid to use safe it had no back on it. Bathroom light burned out and I could not see to put makeup on. Didn't use shower cause the door didn't open wide enough to get in. Bed way to soft and lumpy. Very limited parking and tight. The breakfast was horrible and no selection. The lady during breakfast not very nice at all.
- 4.5/5
It was quiet and clean and the staff had good manners and service There was no good Wi-Fi the cable was horrible I enjoyed everything else. I couldn't get the buttons to work on remote control.

Management refused to refund my second and canceled night in Room 107 where the TV didn't work despite my repeated requests to repair it. I am dissatisfied and disappointed.

- 3.5/5
The location was good for me, there was a little shop next door and a pizza shop next to that. Buses left to travel most places from less than 500m away. Presidio Park close too. The bed was comfortable and charging outlets on lamps and clock radio. Staff were polite and I got to drop my luggage off early for a later check in. There was no lift to second floors although staff did offer to carry up my heavy baggage and I don't have an issue with a flight of stairs without luggage. The shower was a bit difficult to manage being different from what I'm used to. Just dial from off to temperature (bit variable sometimes and took a bit to reach temperature) The walls were very thin and I could hear goings on in next room as well as outside. But it is an older hotel and the price reflects the age.
- 3/5
Create location by the Presidio convenience, however it could be a little bit cleaner
- 3/5
The staff are very kind and helpful, it’s in a great location, the beds are comfortable, and free parking. The breakfast was very basic, and the room was small.

Unfortunately we did not get a good nights rest. The sound barrier between rooms are super poor! The people above us kept us up all damn night. We could hear every foot steps taken and a bunch of other loud noises. We had to keep the tv and fan on to try to block the noises but that did not work. The rooms were ok cleanliness wise but could be better as far as updating the paint on the Walls and doors.

Parking is easy. Staff is polite. Good location. Beds are a bit squishy and heat/ac is noisy as is normal with motels BUT staff should explain how to get the temp right.
- 3/5
It is what it is. A motel. No elevator. Housekeeping every other day. But never during our 3 night stay. Virtually no amenities. And then there is the price and the location. Can't beat that.
- 4/5
Convenient location with self parking. The room was very basic but had a comfortable bed.
- 4/5
Room size. Too compact. No room to walk...
- 4/5
Location was great. Close to attractions like Presidio, Bridge, Palace... Room size. Too compact. No room to walk...
- 5/5
Manager Prutuvi was very hospitable and professional
- 2/5
The location is great. It was quiet and the sheets were soft. Everything else was sub par. The bed was mushy. The grout in shower was moldy/mildew. The room smelled stale. The curtains were dirty. There was large patches of unpainted spackle on the walls. No hair dryer. Spend the extra money to get a good night sleep. I was too scared to look for bed bugs. I figured if I got bit, I would just burn everything. Fortunately, we didn't. So, they have that going for them.
- 5/5
the front desk was friendly, room was clean.
- 4.5/5
Staff were very polite and helpful Limited parking
- 2.5/5
The rooms were tiny. There wasn't even enough space to open our luggage . Its an old property so there isn't any elevator and our room was on the 3rd floor so imagine the nightmare! There arent "any" water fountain in the hotel. I understand that not all hotels have that. But they served very minimal breakfast and even with the breakfast there's no option to get a glass of water. It was really upsetting and weird. I felt like I paid a huge amount of money only for the location.
- 4/5
Best thing about this property is its location. Can't be beat. Easy walk to Palace of Fine Arts and Crissy Fields. Free parking is 2nd best thing. Now.. when you put these two pluses together, no need to look further. Property is old, needs update, but it's clean. Parking is a tight squeeze, but free. Typical motel, but location, location, location!
- 5/5
Clean rooms, quiet neighborhood and parking.
- 4/5
There is clearly not enough parking. I know it's hard in San Francisco. Despite our very late arrival we did get lucky and we got a spot on a nearby street.
- 3/5
Location is great! The fee for my dog to stay was $35 for one night, which I did not expect.
- 2.5/5
Location I didn’t like being overcharged for pet. Websites says $20 per night, charged $35 per night. Room not cleaned on a 3 night stay,
- 5/5
Very nice and quiet
- 0.5/5
Breakfast was junk food. Better breakfast even bagels would have been better.Ice machine was broke. Slipped and fell in shower that was slippery as hell. I asked desk clerk to put me in a quiet 1st floor room with nobody above me he said no problem as we aren't busy. So he puts me in a room on the end next to a day care center and stairs above me. People above were making noise till 1 or 2 am. People walking up and down stairs till 3 am or so. The bottom of shower also has a Crack in it who knows where the water is going. The TV has a black line in the middle of it and heater didn't work properly. To sum it up me and my girlfriend got no sleep and had to drive 6 hours back home after my appointment at the VA hospital. I believe I should be refunded for my stay as I could have slept in my truck and got more sleep!!
- 5/5
It is next to the presidio park , very good location .
- 5/5
Room was clean. Staff was nice and helpful

- 1/5
I enjoyed the stay, room was good, the desk people were horrible. When I booked an additional 2 nights, there was a mistake that could have easily been corrected, that's when they pounced. Told me I needed to pay a late check, when I explained we weren't checking out, he then changed to an early check in. My credit informed that he was testing, meaning he was trying various charges to get one that would pass, lucky for me I had locked that card. Stay at your own risk.
- 3/5
Staff and location were great. Condition of room was not good. Blinds in bathroom were broken, shower stall had peeling paint, wall and curtains were dirty.
- 3.5/5
Breakfast was not so good. They have bread but they don´t have toaster- In the breakfast room they don´t have microwave and the milk is frozen, so for the child I must go to the room to microwave the milk .
- 5/5
It's such a centered location
- 4/5
Location Bathroom cold be a bit cleaner
- 5/5
Easy check in. Nice front desk manager. Comfortable bed and pillows. FREE PARKING. A small grocery store next door. A pizza place next to that. The classic Final Final bar 1/2 block away. Many restaurants, bars and shops a five minute walk away. Palace of Fine Arts Theater also five minute walk. Presidio across the street. Quieter than I would have thought. Great value.
- 2/5
No parking, even street parking was impossible to find. The rooms are old and dirty with mold and water damage.
- 3.5/5
All night throughout the night whenever another room would flush the toilet or use water. The pipes would clunk waking us up all throughout the night.
- 2/5
The front desk was closed when we needed to pick up our stroller from reception. We waited for more than 15 minutes, called, and knocked, but no one answered. After that, breakfast was delayed by 15–20 minutes. The breakfast itself was very poor — just basic cereal and toast.
- 5/5
Really comfortable beds and clean rooms

Location is excellent. The room was very clean and the staff were nice and very helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed staying at this hotel.
- 3/5
staff were good bed was comfortable, room & bathroom were clean, though in need of refreshing , flooring broken in front of bathroom, paint peeling in bathroom & shower & nearly all the cabinet handle were covered in surface rust
- 3/5
Parking available, pet-friendly ($20. fee), comfortable bed, clean, good location, got a great rate. Pleasant staff. Queen room was very small & dark..it had only one small window in the back of the room, not in the front…unable to change rooms as staff said they were sold out (Mon. night). Had only one desk chair for seating. Single-serve coffeemaker missing a part, so couldn’t make coffee.

Breakfast must be better (Jogurt, regular bread, apple, eggs are missing), No Microvawe in breakfast room. Room could be cleaner
- 4/5
Super clean Simple breakfast. Hope the hot food such as egg can be provided.
- 4/5
Staff was very nice and gave great customer service, location was convenient, room was clean, and ease of making reservation and easy checking-in. Room was tiny, bathroom and shower were very small, bed creaked, and no regular (caffeinated) coffee or mini fridge in room.
- 1/5
Dirtiest hotel we have ever stayed at. Shower water was brown, and we had to wait for it to clear up to take a shower. Shower head was falling off, which caused the water to leak out onto the floor. The bathroom had holes in the wall. Bathroom vent was caked in dust and extremely dirty. The flooring looked as though it had not been cleaned before. The beds were uncomfortable and the sheets were dirty. We had to sleep on top of the bedding. Would not recommend to stay. Staff looks as though they are limited and were not available for checkout or to express our concerns. Continental breakfast was extremely limited and did not have water available or fresh fruits, which they show online. The photos online are deceiving. Once again we would not recommend this place.
- 5/5
Very clean
- 2/5
I was on the first floor and all night the room above apparently had tweakers staying there because all I heard was constant pacing, furniture moved around, loud talking from 1-5am. The staff is lovely and welcoming, and the rooms were fine, however, the walls are paper thin.
- 4/5
Excellent value and location. Room very clean. Nice shower and comfortable bed. Free parking (! In SF!) Only reason for 4 stars is there was some street noise. I should have brought ear plugs. Otherwise, good experience
- 5/5
Great deli next door… bed was comfy
- 4/5
The room was clean and the person that checked us in was very friendly. The location was gteat -- close to restaurants, shops and Palace of Fine Arts. Would definitely go back.
- 5/5
Great stay, the hotel it’s at best location and it’s really clean and price it’s just perfect love it
- 5/5
Friendly staff
- 2/5
My room smelled musty and the bathroom had mold. The positive aspect is that the hotel is a good area close to many cool places.
- 5/5
Great place to stay. Only downside was the missing microwave in my 2nd room, but paid the same price as my other room.
- 2/5
The rrom had mold on blinds, wall cracked near shower. need to request floor show mat for safety on tile. towels very thin . general dis-repair of upkeep outside flowers and parking lot flowers. Have been there before all in top shape in the past. Great opportunity for excellent location . Sfaff very pleasant and noted to them as well. Was told a remodel coming in Jan/Feb timing. No longer a top quality hotel as was in the past. Management has changed owners as well.
- 3/5
Definitely worth what you pay for it. Great location and is a 45 min walk from the views of the Golden Gate or easy access via bus. Little on the older side but for one night it was fine. Breakfast could use a little improvement.
- 5/5
Peter was extremely professional, personable, helpful and kind. Thank you.
- 3/5
The location is fantastic in a quiet neighborhood but also close to restaurants and attractions. The rooms need fixing up as there was mould on the walls all over the bathroom and some in the room. Mould was also in the shower and on the curtains in the room.
- 5/5
Great location for my work at the Presidio. Just a 15 minute walk.
- 4/5
Good location
- 5/5
Friendly and easy Checkin, very clean and decent morning brewed coffee in the room
- 5/5

- 5/5
Good location at a fair price.
- 5/5
Ok
- 5/5
Nice and clean hotel room. Very convenient and easy parking at the hotel. I have limited mobility and requested a bottom floor room and the staff was very helpful and able to accommodate me. I would definitely stay again!
- 5/5

- 2/5
Very tired property but clean. Biggest problem was the wifi was on then off all the time, and each time required the password. Breakfast was paid for but some wrapped waffles, cereal and slices of bread wasn’t really worth the effort.
- 4/5
cons: bathroom has dark spots that looks like black mold and could use some revamping; limited parking but not hard to find parking on street if you’re comfortable with that in SF
- 4/5
This is a convenient location, away from the hectic parts of the city, but easy to reach by car or bus. There are many dining options nearby and even grocery stores.
- 5/5
I would like to write that the experience was awful, so that it won't become the hottest hotel in town. I use it once or twice a year for staycations. The deli 10 meters away makes the best sandwhiches in SF. The French restaurant around the corner on Baker. never fails. The staff, the food, it's an outstanding experience. Walk up the Lyon Street steps after dinner!
- 5/5
Located in a quiet area, this hotel offers a close location to Palace of fine arts and you can get the various bus routes close by. Free parking is available and rooms are clean and beds very comfortable. There is a small free breakfast which is a nice touch. Have stayed before and would do so again.
- 4/5
Motel clerk was very helpful and friendly. Room was good. Beds were soft and comfortable. Very conveniently located for exploring the city. Safe and quiet neighborhood just on the edge of a busier area.
- 4/5
Good spot to stay in the city. Building is showing a bit of its age but the was comfortable.
- 4/5
Older hotel, clean room, nice continental breakfast included. Front desk staff are friendly.
- 3/5
Pros: Beds were pretty comfortable, but mine had a ridiculous squeak every time I turned. I felt bad for the people below us. Pillows are comfortable, I like it when places have soft pillows and firmer pillows so that each person gets what they want. Location was good, right next to the Presidio. Area was safe. The outside is cute, but the inside definitely needs some work. Con’s: Staff wasn’t friendly. No smiles, just checked us in. Got a “welcome” text shortly after check-in that we could just text that number if we needed anything. Tried texting the number twice, no answer. They don’t accommodate late checkouts, and they will come knocking five minutes until 11 AM if you haven’t checked out yet. Cell data doesn’t work well, and Wi-Fi wasn’t great in our room. Walls are thin, my daughter heard somebody snoring in the next room. Those earplugs I had came in super handy!
- 3/5
I expected this as a hotel but looks like its a motel. Travel lodge in Canada is way better
- 2/5
I'm sharing my experience so others do not have to go through the same experience. My service dogs stayed with us bc we've been displaced due to an apt fire. I was asked to pay $50 which I assumed was a deposit and then was charged an additional $100 without my knowledge after I checked out. As of May 12, 2025 hotels can not charge additional fees which increases the cost overall. I have no problem paying for a pet fee BUT I DO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH BEING CHARGED WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE AND FEEL THAT IT'S SNEAKY AND UNDERHANDED AND WILL DISPUTE THE CHARGES DUE TO THE WAY THIS WAS HANDLED. If you decide to stay here be aware of that this will most likely happen to you. This is the first time I've written a review for Hotels.com in years because this has NEVER happened before so beware before making a reservation to stay here.
- 5/5
Great front desk man.
- 2/5
The WiFi didn’t work.
- 5/5
Great place to stay….
- 5/5
Nice!
- 4/5
Our stay here was fine. It is an older property and the bathroom is dated, but everything was clean. The bed was very comfortable. The parking is quite limited and if you don’t get a spot, you’re on your own to find street parking in the area. I’m glad we were able to park at hotel as I’m not sure how safe the street parking would be.
- 4/5
We stayed one night for a show at the Palace of Fine Arts which was within walking distance. Perfect for what we needed.
- 3/5
It can be a good location if you want to be near the palace of fine arts BUT we were grossed out by the moldy, outdated shower!! It has mold and chipped paint a over the shower which made taking a shower very unpleasant!!! I am trying to add pictures but the app isn't letting me. There is only about 10 parking spots in the hotel parking.
- 4/5
Minimal office staff other than around check in time. Not very knowledgeable about nearby amenities like restsursnts or stores.
- 2/5
By the way, we recommended this place to others who stayed there. We won't be doing that again.
- 5/5
They were able to accommodate my early arrival and departure. Great service
- 5/5
Nice and clean
- 4/5
This property is on the quieter side of the city and close to some great eating places. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Great price!
- 5/5
Have stayed here on several occasions. Just fine for moderate priced accomodations. The location cannot be beat if you enjoy the Presidio area. Numerous and convenient public transport options within 2 to 4 minutes walk.
- 1/5
There was nothing to like about this OLD DINGY DIRTY property. Motel 5 is a five star in comparison to this shack of garbage. I asked the front desk to have our room cleaned, bed linens changed and CLEAN TOWELS and NOBODY EVER came to clean our room during our 3DAY STAY!!! Trash was overfilled etc.. I WAS DISGUSTED and swear I would let all travelers know to AVOID this Hotel. Don’t waste your time or money. If you’re on a budget STAY ELSEWHERE it’s not worth it !!!! AVOID THIS PLACE.
- 3/5
The rest of the room was perfectly fine, and I think that's what made the bathroom seem so much worse. The beds were comfortable (albeit and little old and squeaky), there was space to move around, the AC worked. The walls were thin and you can could hear everything that was going on outside but that's not a deal breaker. But that bathroom almost made me turn heel and run.
- 5/5
Clean and quiet
- 4/5
The room was ok but should of asked for room upstairs as there was alot of banging on the ceiling though the night especially saturday night ,the reception wasnt very helpful when it come to ask about bus services and buffet in morning was ok but best to go out for it,comfy bed but noisy when u moved around to get comfy outside was always clean and plants well maintained
- 4/5
I loved it! The bed was so comfortable. The bathroom was a little dingy, but it was clean. The location is awesome. The parking was a little difficult. But I think it is a fantastic place for the price!
- 5/5
The place was awesome, close to where our dog needs to walk around. Presidio was unexpectedly beautiful place to visit.
- 4/5
Fantastic location, close to Golden Gate bridge, Palace of Fine Arts, right outside Lombard Gate to Presidio, and public transportation. Clean and comfortable bed. Room needs update. Inner sheer curtain has mold and needs to be replaced. Towels are very thin. Window foggy, old and needs to be replaced. Great neighborhood.
- 4/5
We wanted to stay at a property that was near downtown and reasonable prices. Travalodge was a good choice. The staff was friendly and helpful.
- 4/5
Good place to stay in at San Francisco
- 5/5
Vjay the manager was very helpful and arranged parking for me as well as help with my luggage. :) I was dismayed to find that I was on the third floor and there isn't an elevator but Vjay carried my suitcase up for me and the front desk arranged help on my way down.
- 4/5
The rooms were clean and the beds, comfortable. Breakfast was fine, crowded and a little dirty. The grounds could be kept a bit cleaner as well. Overall though, The rooms are in need of some repair and servicing however. Nothing major. I would stay here again though.
- 5/5
The host Vijay is the best I can think of. Went an extra mile to serve everything as expected. Thanks Vijay!!
- 4/5
Every thing is perfect
- 5/5
We were greeted by two gentlemen who were very friendly and professional. We really enjoyed our time with them. The room was quaint but clean, and sufficient for our trip. It was clean and the air conditioner worked. We would stay there again.
- 4/5
I’d stay here again - but on the upper floor.
- 5/5
This is an older property but they are upgrading. Great location and wonderful staff. Economical and close to public transportation. I'd definitely stay again!

However, our stay was pleasant and very good - reasonable price, parking, proximity to where we wanted to go. We will stay again .

Room and checkin check out were fine. For check out there was no one to talk to at the reception. There was a number I could call at who advised me to slide the room key under the door and that'll be it.

This was the perfect place to stay when biking around the city. You can see the Golden Gate Bridge from tne street, it was clean and the staff was very friendly. We will be back!

The staff were very kind and helpful upon check in. The hotel is very close to the Presidio which is a beautiful area to walk and ride bikes. We will certainly be returning when we have more time. Thank you.

Nice, clean and well-kept hotel near Presidio Park in San Francisco. The staff was wonderful and welcoming. The hotel was close to our next day appointment and there were good restaurants with walking distance. We will be back

A great place to stay in San Francisco! Nothing fancy about the room, but was clean and comfortable and has everything you need. The people are friendly, it’s easy to park and it’s close to good food, dog walking in the Presidio and is super quiet.

Owner is the nicest guy. Chatted with him about his fusion for awhile. Stay here forsure!

Thank you for making our SF guest feel comfortable - and for offering us coffee when we arrived to pick him up.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good

Property was easy to access. Not far from buses. Room was nice and quiet. Looks like they are still renovating the room as there were picture hangers, but no pictures on the walls. No visible debris on the floor, but we spilled something and when we wiped up the spill (in an area we had not been walking in) the paper was quite dirty.

I chose this property because of the excellent rating. But I have to wonder how it ever got the ratings. As the room was extremely small, the bathroom was gross with black mold, we could clearly hear our neighbors in every room. The people above us had kids running around all times at night. The ones to the side had what sounded like a drill they used. Our ac didn’t work well and often shut off on its own or just wouldn’t start. There is limited parking and the breakfast is also limited. We took the 4 minute walk to Starbucks. And let’s not forget the day car next door there are screaming kids all morning and afternoon long. I would not recommend this place and certainly not for the price they ask.

This was a quick one nights stay after a business meeting. The staff was friendly, the bed was comfortable and the area was incredibly convenient!

Like location, presidio, walking in the park . Beautiful area of SF
- 5/5
Quite a nice stay. The front office staff are lovely and it’s just a perfect little place to be.
- 5/5
Staff was cool. Presidio area is calm compared to staying in the city. It wasn’t noisy at night. I felt safe leaving my car outside.

Great location right next to the Presidio. Small property. Good price. Old and a little run down. The floors weren't the cleanest and I could feel the sand under my feet in the room, but other than that it seemed pretty clean. Parking is difficult but you may be able to park on the street somewhere. The free breakfast is decent with bread, English muffins, cereal, milk, juice, oatmeal, Mandarin oranges, and yogurt. I was a little annoyed that Expedia advertised a $15 pet fee per day, but they charged me $20 per day as some of the other reviews mentioned.

It was the perfect hotel for our trip with our 3 dogs. The receptionist was amazing and had great ideas for places to eat, see, dog friendly etc. The breakfast was very simple but that's ok. The walls were dinged up and it wasn't spotless but they allowed our pups and we had a great time. Soft, clean beds and comfy room.

The area was quiet with easy access to public transport, staff were helpful and friendly

Prime location for Presidio, Marina District, Ocean, Marin County. Building is worn and dated. Because of this, cleanliness might be compromised. Operating people were nice and helpful. For the area, not a bad option for the cost.

Great service. Very clean and comfortable. Bed was great to sleep.

Great alternative in the marina. Nice walking to tunnel tops and the presidio.

The property was fine, clean and very convenient location. Our room was in desperate need of repair.

Great location to access Sausalito and walk the dog in the Presidio
- 4/5
Our stay in the hotel was okay. The big problem was locating the hotel. First, there were several travelodge hotel in the area. Then the roads in San francisco are mostly going up and down. Some roads have very stiff ascending / descending elevations.
- 3/5
Perfect place to stay if you want to see and visit diff parks and the Sf Golden Gate Bridge.
- 5/5
Nikki was a wonderful host. The location is fantastic, right next to the Presidio. There were many good restaurants within a 15 minute walk. This is not a fancy hotel, and it could certainly use a few updates, but the staff was lovely and incredibly helpful.

Safe location. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast had basic choices. Small room. It may have just been only our room since the breakfast and our bathroom were clean but the lampshade and painting were dirty and there was a hole in the wall from something being removed. It just gave it a yucky feeling.

Enjoyed our stay and the staff was friendly and helpful

They werenrepaving the parking lot so parking in SF was crazy but lucky we found a spot around the block. Safe and nice area. With food right next door.

My wife and I traveled to SF to celebrate Valentines day and found this super friendly sevice and convenient location next to The Presidio. Walkable neighborhood and safe location close to the Golden Gate Bridge, the Marina bay and the Palace of Fine Arts. Chestnut Rd offers fantastic food and activity. Quiet and nice neighborhood. Highly recommended!

Area is within walking distance to different food options. Short walk to bay and palace of fine arts. Area is quiet for being in such a busy city SF. Beds are comfortable as well.

Came to run my dog with Bay Area Urban Mushing at Chrissy Field/Presidio. Front desk is so warm and welcoming. Location is ideal and dogs are welcome. Comfy bed. Not fancy, just great. Will be back.
