Liz the front desk receptionist not helpful at all.. promised airport shuttle after being requested arrived only 45 min later for a 5 min ride to hotel.

Terrible experience. I was put in a room right next to the road and dealt with loud traffic noise all night. When I asked the front desk if I could switch to a quieter room, the staff member was incredibly rude to me. I can't believe they even charge money for a room in that condition. Would not recommend

Decent rooms for the price and has a very nice bar and pool area. Front desk can be a little more friendly but overall our stay was great. Would book here again!

The only good thing I have to say about this hotel is that it was clean. Staff weren’t particularly friendly and it’s an old hotel. It is also an event venue and there was a loud event we could hear most of the night. The parking is also paid and that on top of an overpriced room. There are no notable amenities and no noteworthy restaurants nearby. No complimentary breakfast. Felt nickel and dimed. Also please note that water came out at scalding temperatures at high pressure. Hot water with good pressure is usually a plus but this was near hazardous.

The elevator was broken down and someone was inside the elevator. I was unaware of the parking fee. I see now that it is on there but it was so tiny that I was unaware that it was there. They kept 100 dollar deposit which I didn't know was going to happy so my husband and I could not buy any merch at Great America because we couldn't afford it. I will not be going back.

Nothing The location was horrible. In a bad area were I didn’t feel safe to walk anywhere Had to move rooms because of the smell. Like wet carpet and cigarette smoke and mold. The shower was cold. The breakfast overpriced for the quality of food. The sheets were stained. The windows and drapes dirty. The elevators had expired safety permits.

Room is always clean and fresh. Room attendant is always helpful. Breakfast is always Fresh, and lot's of choice. Buffett attendant is always helpful. Bar has lot's of choice on Beer that I like, also the meals Pasta I had and Hamburger with Mushroom I had was very delicious. I liked that kioski next Front desk easy access. I always enjoyed stayed at Holiday Inn Silicon valley. I also like the Japanese Restaurant across the street Sushi Kan, Great Sushi. I work for Hotel as Front Desk 10-years, So I know a Good service.

The room I stayed in needed some plumbing work. The sink was spraying water all over and the toilet was running nonstop. They don’t clean your room unless requested and only provide a minimum number of towels, so you’re going to have to have your room cleaned just so you can get more towels. Probably best for people who are only staying 1 or 2 nights at the most. If you’re staying longer, there are better hotel in the area. Of course, there is a homeless problem, but that’s more of a San Jose problem.

The place was real nice. The room was big and clean. As was the property. Nice and quiet.

The door would not lock, electric outlets were uncovered or not working, the bathroom pipes were rusted out and leaking, trash bins overflowing outside the side doors.

The gentleman at the front desk named Gio was so helpful. He went above and beyond for my friend and I we really appreciate him.! He changed our room didn’t charge me extra. It was just very understanding.

Clean room but rather cheaply made interior . Shower was uncomfortable - no shower curtain .. impractical positioning of charging and electrical outlets . Beds were comfortable.

The breakfast had a variety of hot and cold items, from eggs, bacon. Sausages and French toast to oatmeal, cereal and fruit options. The size of the beds in a “premium” room with “queen” beds was limited in space and full size beds and a noisy fridge. The staff at the breakfast are was very helpful and courteous like a restaurant experience. Unfortunately we can’t say the same from the person that checked us in, not friendly at all, but everyone else was nice. The immediate vicinity didn’t look safe to walk around lots of empty buildings.

Had to pay a parking fee when there was barely any parking space and breakfast wasn’t good. We couldn’t take it to the room which sucks. Fridge in the hotel wasn’t even working too. Overall the experience wasn’t so great.

The rooms and grounds were clean and well maintained, though showing some age. We did not have breakfast there as $22.50 was more breakfast than we needed. We did enjoy one evening meal at the bar. Staff took care of our needs. They only clean rooms upon request. We stayed 5 nights and asked for towel exchange mid-stay.

The daily breakfast buffet was good, but 3 days of the same items, some variety would have been nice. Still, it was good and convenient. The staff was good, friendly and helpful; Merrill particularly at check in. The room was spacious and clean, very comfortable space.

Only got 2 breakfast vouchers that I had to pay for when I booked the room for 4. And it was a basic continental breakfast. Also was told after I booked that there’s an $18/night parking free.

Although housekeeping is available upon request you still expect your room clean upon arrival. The bathroom had other people's hair on the floor and shower still which is pretty gross. I can't imagine the carpet.

I liked holiday inn but customer service could be a lot better and I don't like how I still haven't received my deposit back when I checked out March 14, I call the employee said they released my 50$ but she lied cash app showing a hold on my deposit and it's supposed to be 3-5 days the lady said .

They charg $19 for car park a day and 50 deposit for every day that was not mentioned on the web . This is san Josy not LA the park was mostly empty and I don’t see any need for this expensive car park charg I. Arazona and Vegas big hotels charged 10 , this charged 20 too much

Overall, clean and convenient location for an event at Levi’s Stadium, with the light rail station just across the street. Wish the water would have been warmer. Staff was friendly enough. Would return there.

Easy to get the airport. Staff is friendly. The facility is quite dated. You can’t see which floor in the elevators. Room is old too. One night is ok.

Room was nice and clean. They were very attentive to us. Only bummer was having to pay for parking, and it was to cold for an outdoor pool.

No hot water. I called reception and they asked to let water run for at least 5 min. After 10 minutes finally got hot water. However, had the same issue in the morning, with no hot water despite running it for over 10 minutes. What a waste of water and time, and ended up not being able to shower. Very disappointing.

I can’t rate the service or breakfast because we did not use either. Service is upon request, and breakfast was too expensive. When I booked the hotel I was under the impression that we would have free breakfast and free parking. However, we had to pay for parking and breakfast like I said was not free. The hotel room had a unique smell- kind of old, musky smelling, and at one point it smelled like burnt popcorn. The room was clean, the bed was actually more comfortable than a 5 star resort we recently stayed at. HA! The employees were all friendly. The location was good for what we needed.

I didn’t like how they weren’t more clear about paying for parking. This is the first hotel where I had to pay for parking which I think is ridiculous, it’s not even in that nice of an area. Also the room I got their shower pressure was not good. On the other hand I did enjoy their breakfast and they had a good gym. Overall it was a mid experience

Staff was not very friendly

We were there for a competition and the hotel staff was lovely, our room was even ready early, which was a huge help. The restaurant staff and hotel staff were super friendly and kind, and the property was a good value and nice and clean.

The room was clean, staff was very friendly, check in was very smooth and the front desk staff was very helpful and friendly, the airport shuttle was convenient but the driver not to friendly and breakfast was not free we had to pay for it but it was nice with all the fixing that we enjoyed

The Pub restaurant has really good food.

If you don't live in or near San Jose, this is a terrific option for actually getting some sleep before an early-morning flight out of SJC. Very clean, nice room, and close to the airport. Unfortunately, the hotel shuttle starts at 5 and we needed to get going a little earlier, so we made other arrangements. But we will definitely consider staying here again if we need to take an early flight!

Nice hotel with great restaurants that are walkable distances from the property. I wouldn’t feel comfortable walking around after dark though.

When we got off the freeway near the hotel, we saw an undercover bust right next to the hotel. Then, as we pulled in, we saw a lot of homeless people and questionable characters. We were warned that we may not have a parking spot Saturday night as there was a large party and car event at the hotel. We had to pay $18 nightly for parking and when we arrived at the hotel on Saturday night, there was a “car show” which was a bit sketchy. There wasn’t a spot for us and they said we can park in a separate lot and be taken back with a shuttle. We have two young kids so that wasn’t an option. Breakfast wasn’t great but staff was super friendly. My husband saw our neighbor guest bring in a prostitute. Lovely. For the price we paid, I was hoping for better accommodations. My kids were scared to stay there and really didn’t feel comfortable with the area at all. Holiday inn can’t control how San Jose manages the homelessness and criminals but they can do their best to make sure rooms are maintained better, clean, and food is better too. I learned my lesson not to get hyped with lobby photos.

If you are anything like me, that don’t wanna spend too much money but also don’t want anything rinky dink then this place will be just fine. There’s a lot of good places to eat in the area. I just think the rooms are a little out dated. The AC blew a whisper of air & the water took over 30mins to get hot. If those are big factors for you then I think you should definitely reconsider staying somewhere else.

The location was great for where we were going. The bathroom door was difficult to close. We had to lift it slightly and slam it shut.

Would not recommend staying here. Saw a huge rat outside the property near lobby entrance. The room had a pipe rattling noise coming from the walls that would happen 2x every hour.

I loved the convenience of airport 5 mins away. The pool was peaceful and there was a gym! I paid for 3 nights so i got breakfast and it was good.

At this point I'm simply astonished. Due to the fact I'm against violence I decided to walk out. That was the first bad experience... now unto the next bad experience which was almost as bad. Turns out the front desk agents are more or less rude as F*** and will give you hell for asking to check-in early (it was 1:30pm and check-in is at 3pm). Despite being upset from my experience with the night auditor, I was civil with the agent checking me in in spite of her bad attitude. She then told me she only charged me 25 dollars for early check-in but lo and behold according to my bank statement she charged me 50. So now, I understand the agent was just incompetent. Finally, I called and spoke to a "manager" (something like that) to inquire about getting my money back. Guess what? Another bad experience wherein she's twisted my words and hung up on me. Next step? I will go in person to speak to the GM and I'm bringing my lawyer for a lawsuit.

Room was large and clean. Staff was friendly. Check in and out were easy and quick. However the bathroom and shower did not have hot water, likely just a maintenance issue and I find it unlikely to be a common occurrence.

Only drawback was the low toilet. Being a senior, I would have liked support bars to aid in getting up.

As far as value for money this is a terrific place to stay. In fact it was a step above. The rooms were quite large, comfortable and clean. The amenities were good, with a nice pool and fitness center. The restaurant served very nice food and the breakfast was excellent. There was a convenient, small 24hr self service shop. If there is one thing that didn’t meet standards it was the awful quality of the toilet paper. Bring your own!! Otherwise everything was great.

Our stay was shortened due to a very large party of 1000 people on our floor. We were made aware of this after our credit card was charged and unfortunately we were not refunded the rest of our stay. We would have loved to stay there longer but were told no other rooms were available.

Overall, the property and staff were very nice. However, when we first checked into our room, we found an empty beer can and the pillows/curtains had stains on them. I informed the front desk, and they promptly moved us to a new room. The new room also had an empty water bottle, but the rest of the room seemed cleaner so I decided to stay in that room. Despite that initial hiccup, it was a pleasant stay the property was clean and well maintained.

Stains behind on the curtain like mold that stained my hands and caused allergies for me and my family . Also little wasp insects in bathroom and room flying and on wall .

It does the trick when you’re in the area for business. The rooms could use an update. A bit uncomfortable to walk the area due to some sketchy people hanging around the parking lot and streets surrounding the property.

the property was nothing crazy but the bathroom had mold … and the shower head was so bad like it was painful to shower and u can’t adjust it or anything and all the water goes outside the tub. It also took like 25 minutes to get hot water. they put us next to a closet or something because they were opening and closing it non stop. At the end of the night like midnight there were two white guys having a homophobic rant in the lobby and the security and staff didn’t do anything and the one guy ranting was also recording which is crazy.

Bar area and lobby were well kept and great hangout locations. Room was dated and shower towels had stains. Bed was comfortable. Overall not too back but a bit pricey for what you get.

There were a couple of “staples” missing from the room that I had to come down and get. After I landed and arrived at the hotel, I was shocked at the fact that there was no WATER to drink unless you go to their little kiosk and drop $7-$8 dollars on a small water bottle. I didn’t even care if it was filtered! So I asked if there was any other option. The woman said there’s an ice machine, and next to it is also water. Why didn’t she just say that upfront? It’s WATER we are talking about. Welp, the “water” button was broken. So I kept going to floors until one worked. The WIFI was so weak and poor, to the point I couldn’t use it for work, which is what I was there for. So, basically, I paid for a bed to sleep in.

It was spotless and quiet. My only problem was that the little fridge worked sometimes, but overall, it was a good place to stay. I will definitely stay here again.

The guest services staff are great!

The door to the bathroom was a sliding door. It did not close adequately. The tv cord kept falling out of the back of the tv.

Van was robbed, security was apologetic, front desk was terrible. Then they charged our credit card twice.

Walls are paper thin, you can hear the conversations in the next room over.

The hotel was conveniently located and the bed was very comfortable. The sheets were super soft. We did not spend much time in the hotel so we did not get to take full advantage of the amenities but they seemed to be a good addition to the hotel.

This modern, clean hotel was a gelrest stop on my way through San Jose. I appreciated the delicious food service at the restaurant. The room was clean and I would come back again.
