    We had a king suite. It opened to the courtyard with nice and sunny view of the pool and greenery. Although it was not very large at all it was pleasant. Both the bedroom and the living room had TVs. The shower was good but low water pressure, but I think that is a city issue. I only wish the convenience store would stay open longer. Very close to the airport with free shuttle. Shout out to Sahil add to reception desk who went out of his way to get us a room to our liking and was very helpful and polite. Not too many places to eat within walking distance. Close by we had a very cool ethnic coffee shop, a sandwich shop, and Italian/pizza place. There was a place to get coffee and small eats at the hotel but most of the time it was closed.

    Disappointed with the breakfast selection as well. Essentially a minimal Starbucks for more money and not as good (avoid the turkey sausage sandwich). Also the snack/cooler section wasn't really being stocked regularly? And the selection there wasn't great either. The staff was very nice though!

    1) Floor near the were not vacuumed. Popcorn on the floor. 2) Refrigerator was not cold. Medicine had to be cooled with Ice. 3) Deadbolt on the door did not move or lock. 4) Toilet seat was squeaky, waking sleeping children. 5) Shower/tub did not drain well, showers were taken in standing water. 6) A tube ‘lubricant’ was found in the cabinet. After informing the front desk of these issues, they said, “Thanks.” Would not recommend this hotel.

    We had a 9 or hourly over at San Jose International. Took a shuttle directly to the property and went directly to bed. The settle back in the morning got us to the airport on time, and as a result we got a good six hours sleep.

    Staff was excellent & the room was comfortable and clean. However, we stayed on a Saturday night before departing SJC & the following Saturday upon a late return. I know this is difficult for the hotel to control, but the noise levels were ridiculous from other rooms, even past 2AM. It would be nice if people showed courtesy to fellow travelers & followed the hotels quiet hour policy. It is very convenient to the airport, but don’t expect to get a restful nights sleep.

    I think the inside of the Hotel could use a little fleshing up. Seems a little tired. The staff were friendly and helpful and the parking lot is fine. I've stayed here several times for business but might be convinced to look elsewhere next time.

    The room was nice and the area was clean, quiet, & safe. The room was clean upon arrival, but housekeeping is on request only. The employees were nice and efficient when needed and the airport shuttle was an added touch. The hotel is very close to the airport and really close to restaurants/things to do if you are driving or want to ride share.

    So most of the staff was amazing, the lady at the counter that helped me fix the charge at the room, the guy who was there at night and checked me in, the lady at the Starbucks was amazing, not sure who the lady in the back was but sounded like a manager. I booked this for the first time as a day use and it was nice, 109 dollars, the guy who checked in helped because he hadn't gotten the last minute email from the Day Use app but he made it good and smooth. At this point I was happy. A little while later I decided to stay the night as it would be more convenient in the morning. When I asked if I could just extend it and maybe get credit for at least part of the 109 that would be great. The nice lady at the counter had to yell the question to the woman in the back who just said "he has to make a new reservation". No customer service, no talking to me in person which I would think is a basic customer service 101 thing. One other time again, I came to the desk and ask the nice lady who had to yell the question to the manager who wouldn't come out of the office. I ended up using some of my hotel.com reward money to get 40 bucks off but I know that managers can do things when it comes to things like this but this manager had no customer service skills. The other ladies should be her manager!

    Apparently the hotel was under new management from our last stay. Several changes fro our previous stays at this same hotel. The coffee and breakfast in the lobby is not free. They are under staff, we had to wait 10 minutes for someone to check us in, trying to do two things at once. The property is huge and there was not enough help. We may have to alter our plans to use the Sonesta brand.

    I prepaid for a room for a friend the day before his stay at this hotel through Expedia. When he went to check-in, the hotel staff stated they required a credit card for a deposit if checking-in after 4 pm. The staff refused to honor the reservation because he did not have his credit card with him. Subsequently, the hotel refused to refund any charge although they denied my friend his room. He spent the night at the airport without a bed. I hope you chose to stay elsewhere.

    I have stayed at other Sonestas and like the brand. The staff was very accommodating and room was comfortable as was the bed. Only thing missing at this particular location was a microwave, and breakfast and coffee were fee only, no complimentary food service.

    I had a terrible experience the check was good I stayed there May 16, everything was ok until the following day I came down to the lobby around 9am to grab a cup of coffee I was at the lobby for about 45 minutes, then went up my room took a shower minutes after my shower I noticed I had like some type of rash in both my underarms. When I check out on May 17 I told the front desk lady what had happen gave her my room # 247 she just wrote the room number on a sticky note. I won't be staying there anymore. Its gonna be almost a week. Still have that rash like bumps on my underarms.

    No serious complaints— the check in staff was great, really friendly and helpful. The room had just enough wear and tear to make it hard to relax, and the stain in the center of the bed (the sheets were clean, it appeared to be a grease stain that had been laundered) added to my discomfort. I think there’s breakfast amenities in the lobby for sale, but it’s unclear. I had a great latte up the road at Cafe Con Lèche!

    1st room shower head fell off and 2nd room they woke me up at 12 am saying the smoke detector went off when i was sound asleep and clearly not smoking. Im not even a smoker.     The front desk upgraded me to a different room, that was okay. Location is good. There is a good Yemenese coffee shop (Qishir) walking distance from the hotel. And also a shopping plaza with a bunch of restaurants. Due to the uncertainty with the first room assignment, this hotel would probably not be my first choice, if at all I consider again.

    Apparently this property is under new ownership/management as has really gone downhill. Check-in was fine, but the room not so much. We got the 1-bedroom suite. There was no water in the room. Most hotels put some water in the room even if you have to pay for it. We had to walk all the way across the hotel to get some water. We needed the pull-out sofa for another bed. It didn't look very pleasing to sleep on directly so we called for some blankets, etc. Usually you get a sheet, blanket and pillow, but all we got was a blanket and we had to call the front desk a couple times for that. The thermostat in both the bedroom and main room seemed to have a mind of their own as they constantly kept going between heat and cool so we ended up just turning them off. Also the elevator when going down stopped suddenly and stayed in one place for a minute or so. We thought we were stuck but it eventually started going again. Won't be staying there again.

    We were satisfied with mostly everything. We got in late and were very tired and we checked in in with the name Davis. He took my credit card for deposit and gave us the key to the room was a long way away, and it had 1 bed. I walked back and he told me to look at his computer to prove it was booked for 1 bed. At the top of that reservation it had the name of another Davis party. So he rechecked us into the right room with 2 beds, and I went all the way to the 1st room and drug my luggage to the right room. I realized he never said "I'm sorry for not verifying your first name." And when I checked out I asked the desk if my card was taken off the first room, and they assured me it was, He looked at the computer and said my room was charged to this credit card, which was okay, but I wondered if the other room had been changed.

    The room was clean and overall comfortable. However, the sofa in the room has a low wooden ledge that in low light is not too visible and I ended hitting my shin 2 times severely. it was also very close to the edge of the bed so not enough room to move around to the that side of the bed. I was very disappointed and injured.

    Airport shuttle was easy to find. The bathroom was in horrible condition, black mold spots around the base of the shower. Shower head was yellow with caked on what I could only image is hardwater deposits clogging the shower hear. Water dripped onto what looked like a rusted drainage plate all night. Water pressure was non-existent. If you ran the faucet in the bathroom sink to brush your teeth the sink would clog up and took a few minutes to drain.

    I did feel the bed was a little soft for me. I didn't really understand using the TV remote and using the apps, but I was tired. I had a long drive when I got to the hotel. I needed some ice and water and I had to walk to the otherside of the hotel to get it. I have pain issues with my back, walking after a long drive was difficult. Also, I was surprised by paying for a parking pass. My $98 room came to a lot higher price. I gave 4 to 5 stars. My issues were maybe my issues more than the hotels.

    I enjoyed the room! The bed was comfortable and bathroom was nice and roomy. My only feedback is the AC/heating unit was noisy (fan mode), and I couldn't sleep with it on. It left the room a bit stuffy due to lack of airflow and not being able to open the window. Other than that it was nice! I would stay there again if the opportunity comes again, just not in room 403 due to the fan noise.

    The person who was checking me in last night was extremely rude. It took forever to check in. He made rude & unprofessional comments towards me and my friend.     The elctrical outlets were not secure with covers and I had to pay 18 dollars for parking which I do not remember seeing this in the reservation. I have another reservation there in the next few days. If it was not the fact that this hotel is close to the airport I would cancel my stay. The least thing they can do is to give me a free upgrade for my next stay.

    I was not able to stay for my reservation. I did not know there was going to be $125 security deposit, Expedia site did not mention a security deposit. I assumed since my room was paid for up front, that was all that was needed. I told the young man at the front desk i did not have the money for the deposit, and that i did not know there was going to be one since i paid for the room up front. I had a 6am flight Monday morning and would be checked out by 430 am or 5. They would not give me the room without the deposit. I ended up sleeping (kind of) in the airport till my flight left at 6 am.

    We did not have breakfast or use the shuttle. They have a small area in the lobby where they had Starbucks coffee. Its very spacious. The outdoor area is nice. There's a pool and outdoor seating with umbrellas. It was a beautiful day outside, perfect to relax. They have rooms with a patio for easy access to the outdoor area.

    I thought from reading the previous ratings that this would be a nice place. Boy were we disappointed! They were supposed to have a bar and restaurant. They might have once but not anymore. Rooms were dirty. Nobody was bothering to clean around the baseboards in the bathroom. It’s almost as though they just pushed the dirt to the sides of the room. The breakfast, which was supposed to be included didn’t exist. You could buy a seriously overpriced muffin, dry cereal, etc., but the price was outrageous. The property is being sold so hopefully it will improve, but right now I will avoid it.

    This place was not fully staffed, I was told I could check in early, But when I arrived the rooms wasn't clean and ready for me to check in, I was told to come back around 4:30 but my original check-in time was at 4:00, so when I finally checked in at 5:00 at least they told me I didn't have to pay for parking which was $18 that was nice of them, but I think they could have compt me more things like breakfast vouchers or a coupon with money off on my next stay if I decided to do that which I will not stay here again.

    Upon arriving everything seemed good and clean. Making our way up on the elevator we were hearing strange noises from the elevator itself and it was slow. Our room looked clean, however the bathroom was completely missing the latch that goes on the edge of the door which secures the door shut. Next morning I noticed a metal plate on the shower floor across the front which covered the drain. I had never seen this before and called the front desk and they sent up the housekeeping supervisor. She entered the bathroom and told me all the Sonesta Select have those metal plates. I told her that it didn't seem very sanitary as there could be residue and stuff caught in between the metal plate and the bottom of the shower floor and drain. She said the housekeepers are supposed to lift up those plates and clean in between. She proceeded to lift the plate, looked and set it back down. She just repeated that all those hotels have them. I then addressed the door issue and she said it was on order but not in yet. As I began to shower I noticed a pubic hair on the front of the shower wall that had not been there before. It must have came up as the housekeeper lifted the plate. I later lifted the plate to look and it was disgusting!!! A bunch of black long hairs on the drain( mines dark blonde) and mold and other brown stains on the shower floor and underside of the plate. I contacted the GM and still trying to resolve this issue with some acceptable compensation as we could not shower.

    Room was in fair condition. Sofa bed was unusable. Breakfast options were severely limited. Staff could not communicate in English and my Spanish is not good, so that was difficult. Front desk staff were very helpful. Location is great re: airport and shopping, but there are better options nearby. Will not stay here again.

    So I Ordered a Deluxe room with a king sized bed and balcony for me and my boyfriend for 2 nights. I also had a service dog. That they asked me to show proof that my dog was a service pet. In the state of California they don’t have a right to ask for “credentials” for a service pet! Now back to the room when I get there the front desk assumed that I didn’t have a reservation I had to tell him. Which was weird. 2nd they put me in a dirty room with no balcony and 2 queen beds. When that is not what I paid for so I go tell them I was placed in the wrong room. The front desk is going to tell me they gave me whatever room because they thought it didn’t matter because they were out of room that I was paid for. Which is a lie because they ended putting me in a king deluxe room. With the smallest crapiest balcony! The balcony and both ends had water leaking out of these pipes. So I had to stand in one place so I didn’t get wet. Awful experience here! I will not be coming back ever again

    My recent stay at the Sonesta near San Jose Airport was one of the most frustrating hotel experiences I’ve had. First, the cleanliness of the room was unacceptable. There was a hair inside the refrigerator, which immediately made me question whether the room had been properly cleaned at all. The pillowcases had an unpleasant smell, the shampoo and soap holders in the bathroom were broken, and the toilet paper roll was nearly empty upon arrival. These are basic housekeeping standards that should never be overlooked. The room clearly needs significant attention and maintenance. Equally disappointing was the front desk staff. The interactions felt rude, dismissive, and at times disrespectful. Instead of addressing concerns with professionalism and care, the attitude communicated indifference. Hospitality should make guests feel welcomed and valued — not like an inconvenience. Another major issue was the lack of transparency regarding additional charges. Breakfast was advertised as “available,” but it was not clearly emphasized that it would require additional payment. Parking also came with an extra fee, which was not made sufficiently clear during booking. These surprise charges only added to the frustration. Hospitality has a meaning — it is about service, cleanliness, transparency, and respect. Unfortunately, this hotel did not represent those values.

    The carpet in the room between the two beds was damp, like someone had spilled a gallon of water there. It stayed damp for both days. Not soaking, but noticeably wet. Breakfast was not included, which I thought I had read that it was. Super Bowl weekend, so prices were expected higher, but even at regular cost, it would have been overpriced for location, amenities, and the floor (and no refresh for towels, etc.. after the first day). Also, the fire alarm was activated at 4 am, probably not the hotels fault, but obviously not ideal. Nowhere near worth the surge price for the weekend, and not a good value otherwise either. Also, a lack of stock in the food/drink stock in the lobby, especially without any stores nearby. Staff was friendly and helpful, however.

    The room was okay, the shower was terrible, toilet seat hard and uncomfortable. The elevator was very sketchy and the buttons worked sometimes. You have to pay for parking!! Continental breakfast was slow because they only had one lady that was taking orders & serving, so it was super slow to get your food so I left. I will be more careful when we book a room next time.

    My room had no shampoo, bodywash, and soap. Luckily I had showered beforehand but the hand soap is inexcusable considering they come in packaged bars. The room directly above me was noisy beyond all reason. It sounded like they only knew how to stomp their feet. They kept getting up meandering around their room and I could hear the whole thing. It was annoying. Sonesta is usually pretty good but this was a hard fail. Do better, not worth the price this time around.

    The guy at the front desk was nice and helpful. Our first room was fine, but the TV didn't turn on. He quickly switched out room with no hassle. The bed was comfortable, the couch was nice to watch TV on and the little balcony was a nice touch. The fact that there was a refrigerator is always a plus.     No one was at the front desk when we walked in. Elias was the one who assisted us —- very nice gentleman. 2) Was given room 308. Upon entry: - dirty towels on the hallway floor - both beds were unmade - bathroom was disgusting 3) Went back to front desk, but no one was there. Said « hello » and a gentleman came out and said, « I’m at lunch. Let me just wash my hands, » and proceeded to kitchen area across lobby. Informed him of issue and assigned room 108. At this time, the gentleman who assisted us initially —- Elias —- came to the front desk and asked what was wrong. He apologized and said he would comp our parking. 4) Hair on bedsheet 5) Tub was not draining. During shower, water level reached above ankle. 6) At checkout, I informed the young lady at the front desk of the tub draining issue and all she said was that she would « let them know. » no apology. She didn’t really seem to care. We will NEVER stay at this particular Sonesta hotel again.

    Room (104) I was put in did not have a locking sliding door, and it was on the ground floor. The second room (404) I was put in did not have an operational TV. The third room in which I was assigned had an operational TV but not a working fridge (403) . The grounds are not well kept and lobby does not have adequate amenities. Front desk staff was empathetic and kind but truly the management here needs to get their act together.

    The rating reflects the cleanliness of the room. The sheets had yellow stains on them, there was visible dirt on the mattress between the opening of the bed and the wall, there were different strands of hair from different people on the mattress. The rug had so many large stains and the floor in the bathroom area were not swept— there was dirt in the corners of the floor. This impacted my sleep as I felt itchy throughout the night at the thought of sleeping in a bed that wasn’t clean.

    The room was in good condition and the bed was comfortable, however, the female staff that worked on Sunday 12.14.25 was unprofessional. She answered my questions about adding my adult daughter to the reservation then put a note in my reservation saying that we have to be charged the full amount at check in. There was no reason to put this note in and the manager confirmed it a couple of days later. Do they have a problem with allowing family members to check in? Seemed like it. I was there for a graduation and this was an unpleasant experience. Also, they charge to park your car overnight. I will not be returning.

    This hotel was very convenient. There’s nothing fancy about it but it is run well. We checked in around nine. One gentleman working. Super efficient really knew his job was checking a lot of people in by himself. He was terrific and what I appreciate about this hotel is the cleanliness of the room so I would definitely stay here again it’s a very well run hotel and like I said nothing fancy but the room was just super nice and super clean.

    We did not have breakfast at the hotel. Check in was fine. I did not like the smell in the room. I have asthma and the fragrance in the room was very strong, which often causes problems. With the number of people who cannot handle fragrance, I am surprised when a hotel uses products that smell so strongly. I also did not like the room lights going on automatically. Three different lights blazed on while getting to the bathroom in the middle of the night. It was very disturbing. I would suggest a night light.

    Room was very clean and spacious. Bed was comfortable. Maybe I got lucky to get a room that did not smell of smoke. Stayed for one night. Needed a place to stay at the last minute. It did the job, but will prefer another place next time.

    The driver of the shuttle was so rude and aggressive. We felt very uncomfortable with him, so much so that we just got a Lyft the next morning to the airport. When we got there we were told they were running out of key cards, so we could only have one. It had writing on it from someone else’s room. The ice machine on our floor was broken. The fridge in our room wasn’t working, so I pulled it out to see if it was plugged in and there was mold underneath it. The room itself did not smell clean, it was very musty. And the elevator had a hand written sign on it that if more than 4 people get on you will get stuck. Needless to say it was one night and we left early the next morning and I don’t plan on staying here again.

    I dislike leaving bad reviews but this hotel is overrated (hotels.com rating) and the photos on the listing do not represent the hotel conditions. The shower was falling apart, moldy and dirty, pillows were lumpy and smelled. The room smelled like smoke/mildew and the couch had stains. The hotel is old and needs to be updated. We checked in late, staff was friendly and helpful. But there was someone sleeping in a booth in the lobby and it was over all an unpleasant experience. After checking in and going to the room we wanted to leave but it was late and no refund option was offered when I contacted hotels.com. The airport shuttle was on time and efficient. 5 stars for that.

    Our room, 425 had a major trip and fall hazard where the couch is too close the foot of the bed to allow access to the wall side of the bed. Other than that, the property is clean well maintained and super convenient to the airport. The neighborhood is an older area near the airport so not much shopping or services. Perfect place for overnight between flights.

    Location near the airport was great, very easy to access and get the our early morning flight using the hotel shuttle. Small complaint about the light switches in the rooms with the motion sensors. It would be better to have night lights vs. the light turning on to full intensity when activated by motion.     Hotel is located in a business park area, and was clean, modern, and very quiet considering how close it is to the airport. The staff was very helpful, and there is a little shop where you can get snacks and drinks. Parking is free and plentiful. The only thing I didn't like was the toilet paper. It was the thinnest I've ever seen, including in third-world countries! I would definitely stay here again, but I would bring my own TP!

    Proximity to the airport is excellent and you can't really hear the noise from the planes. That said, it is not possible to walk to the airport or vice versa despite it being so close. The roads are not designed for pedestrians. The hotel offers a shuttle, which only takes a few minutes to the terminals. Parking is super good at this hotel. Access to the Freeway and getting around San Jose is excellent. Although helpful, the staff need training in hospitality. Not the friendliest workers. The rooms are nice and fully appointed. Great A/C for hot days. Good bathrooms. I will not hesitate to stay at this hotel again when I visit San Jose.

    Really nice stay. Great staff, and atmosphere of tthe hotel was chill the place was also pretty clean, and comfortable. Shuttle is also included to and from the airport which is a plus.     I stayed here because I had an early morning flight out of San Jose airport and they offered a shuttle service. The property was well kept, rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. There was a nice Italian restaurant across the street that was recommended by the clerk behind the desk. My only complaint was the rudeness of the shuttle driver in the morning. I’m 72 and I was flying out alone with two carry-on bags and she just got on the bus, opened the door for me and sat there and waited for me to carry my bags up the stairs by myself.     Some of the staff was nice and kind some were a little unprofessional. I kinda expected more professionalism but other than that it was a great sleep when I was there. The bed was comfy and it was very quiet.

    I was able to check in to the hotel early, and was able to change from a room with 2 beds to a better room with one bed. The staff were great.
