Decent place for the price and of course I suppose you are in the middle of the city so easy access to local attractions. The staff was friendly and helpful. Place is a bit old so likely in need of some renovation soon. Still worth it overall.

The flamingo is a solid, reliable place to stay. It's not fancy, but it is always a quality stay.

Comfortable, non-fancy motel that's a 10 minute walk from the San Jose Diridon train station. Nice staff / owners. Fair number of eating options. The closest are right across the street. If you have dire need of a USB port, there are none in the rooms as far as I could see (although that wasn't important to me). All in all, my 3 night stay was fine. I'd stay there again.

Room was well appointed with refrigerator microwave and bed was comfortable. Shower was excellent. pretty quiet overall. parking was also easy. The dish TV is a pain to operate very confusing limited channel selection but it seems like most of these hotels have the dish probably cause it’s cheaper

The room and bathroom were very clean and the bed comfortable. The microwave and refrigerator were a nice touch, and, of course, the coffee maker. Parking was easy and available and the staff were very friendly and helpful. This motel is very convenient to the SAP Center and there are numerous cafes and fast food options close by, as well as a Whole Foods store down the street aways.

We were in San Jose for some hockey games at SAP Center. This motel was in a great location to walk to the game. It is close to downtown making travel easy and there were many walkable food and coffee places. The room was clean and in good condition. It has a microwave and fridge, which was all that we needed. This was a great room for the price but if you like all the bells and whistles of big, name brand hotels, you might find this lacking. The price point more than makes up for the difference. This will likely become our go-to place to stay when we visit San Jose in the future.

The hotel is centralized and easy to get to a few different freeways and walking distance to restaurants, the Shark tank, and CalTrain.

Good basic motel at a great price. The room was clean and safe. Property was well lit. Staff was friendly and very helpful.

I walked from Diridon Station to Flamingo Motel. I walked to a variety of restaurants nearby the motel.

Stayed for night

Unexpected jewel conveniently located down the street from the Shark Tank. Very clean, ? updated recently. Walkable to multiple restaurants, responsive staff. It is not a 5-star motel, but for what it is, the family running it does a great job. Suggestions: replace aerators on faucets, supply larger soap bars, kleenex, and directions for the TV. I could not figure out how to work the Sat TV. Definitely will consider staying there again my next visit to San Jose.

Very responsive and helpful front desk. The exterior of the motel is a little dated, but the interior seems freshly renovated and very clean, room has a nice clean laundry smell when we entered, and it seemed to be generally quiet. A lot of great restaurants were walking distance including breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. A few bodegas were just down the street as well. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!

This property had been recommended to me as a nice place to stay near the San Jose airport. But the room and the bed didn’t meet my standards and I actually got bitten by bedbugs!!!

Great location on a street full of vibrant daytime activities. Great restaurants (highly recommend Zona Rosa), coffeehouses, and cute shops. Our room was very clean, well stocked, quiet, and comfortable. The staff, especially the proprietor, was friendly, kind, and accommodating. Hands down the best motor inn/motel I've stayed at in my years of traveling. Don't forget to check out the neon flamingos on the signage in the evening!

We like staying here for events we are attending at the SAP Center. There are lots of little cafes and restaurants around the motel, plus there is a Whole Foods market nearby. The staff at the motel are friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and comfortable, and the amenities were the expected: fridge, microwave, TV, coffee machine, hair dryer, iron, shampoo, lotion. There was plenty of hot water for the shower. Parking is free and easy and we felt our car was secure.

I love it here. It is on the bus line. Short walk from the lightrail. Great breakfast, lunch, dinner & coffee options within 1 block. The owners, staff here is super friendly! They are very welcoming and easy to work with. Great price, clean room.

Old roadside motel that's been kept up to date in the rooms without ruining the kitschy charm of the exterior. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Location was outstanding to SAP Center and breakfast. Service was exactly right.

Going to a concert at SAP. The room was reasonably price. We were able to walk to the venue and not pay for parking. The employee at the checkin desk was very nice.

The Flamingo hotel has good parking, and our room was very clean. Even the bedspreads seemed freshly washed. Walking distance to many eateries and coffee shops. No complaints. The owners were exceptional.

I've stayed at the Flamingo many times on visits to San Jose. This is a hidden gem. The Flamingo is a clean, safe, and no frills motel with a staff who cares for your comfort while offering affordable lodging in an expensive area. The Flamingo motel is an excellent value fat an affordable price.

It looks run down on the outside, not a great neighborhood BUT they have done a nice job with fixing things up inside. It was comfortable, the bedding what very nice a good quality. Comfortable

Great cheap motel!

The location itself has a funky smell, and is falling apart. Everything from the bedding to the towels is subpar. Initially I thought that was fine, for the low cost, but the icing on the cake was that the toilet didn’t flush. Staff was friendly trying to fix it but it just didn’t work and they couldn’t move me to any other room with functional plumbing. Their online policy only states one night fee for last minute cancellations (even including cancellation due to their own plumbing issues) but they actually charge for 2 nights- beware. Also, if you don’t know San Jose, this is an area prone to high cockroach infestations. They’re just there, not much can be done about them. I was really careful to keep my food/belongings sealed up so I didn’t get any hitchhikers. I come to San Jose a lot for work and will absolutely be avoiding this hotel. On the positive side, the location is good for walking downtown or to the local restaurants.

The family that owns the hotel is incredibly kind and responsive. The hotel is older but well kept, very clean, quiet, and extremely convenient. We walked almost everywhere and felt safe in the neighborhood.

I was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean, smell fresh and I saw the cleaning crew cleaning the room across from us cleaning the room while moving every piece of furniture. I felt safe in the neighborhood. I even walked from the SAP (which is four blocks away) around midnight back to the hotel. The bathroom was clean and the front desk staff was very nice and kindly allowed me into the room 20 minutes early. I truly enjoyed my one night I spent there.

A solid basic 2 queen room. Very clean. Arrived at 6 pm and the temp was 100 degrees outside. The second floor room did not have the AC on and it took 3 hours to cool to reasonable temp. The shower control was very difficult to figure out and the office was unavailable by phone or directly at 7 am when trying to shower. Price is great but the struggles to be comfortable make it so it will not be my choice in the future.

A very reasonably-priced motel that actually had a tub! Clean. Parking felt safe. The area of town was both good and bad: outdoor restaurants and fun shops but also some homeless wanderers.

There was some initial confusion regarding an early check in that I had called in about, but it was resolved without too much trouble. Rooms were simple, but clean, and overall nothing to really complain about. Definitely good value for the price.

This is a basic motel without extra frills. That said, the towels and sheets were spotless. The room was clean. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I wanted to check in early, they had a room ready, so they had no problem with my request. There are many dining options. There is a pancake house with an excellent breakfast, a bakery with lovely selections and outdoor seating and a 5 Guys across the street as well as Starbucks and a Mexican restaurant. It is walking distance to the train station which was important to me. I had a very comfortable stay.

We walked to the SAP center, (about a 15 min walk). Going back to the Motel from the concert there was a guy walking about 20 feet in front of us yelling, screaming and talking to himself. Felt kinda unsafe. Saw a couple of homeless people too, but they minded their on business for the most part. Not many people from the concert was walking in our direction, people started to split apart form us about halfway through our walk back to the Motel. Property is everything you expect a Motel to be. Our room was clean for the most part, there was some women’s hair on the sheets. Phone didn’t work. We called front desk with our cell phone cause one of our night stands wasn’t working, maintenance came right away. It’s on a busy street so you’ll hear a lot of traffic in the morning which woke me up.

This Motel was given a high rating, interior clean. The light in bath over the sink was very dim, the television had just one channel and (No Signal) on screen. Other than that, it was okay.

Great quick stay in San Jose for one night. Rhe toom was roght by the stairs and the walls are paper thin so the noise was tough. But overall was worth the vost compared to more expensive hotels by SAP Center.

Flamingo Motel is nicely situated in many good eating areas.

The water pressure is very soft for someone with long hair, and the fridge was extremely cold and partially froze drinks. But overall, it is a great deal and a very nice area to walk around.

We are repeat customers. We like the fact that we can walk to almost anything. Lots of food choices. Coffee and pastries across the street. We even walked down to San Pedro and ate some BBQ and checked out the Tiki Bar Dr Funk. We also bike and the location is awesome. We did have to wait a while for hot water but it finally showed up. The place is quiet and fairly priced. We will be back.

It is a close walk to SAP center (0.5 miles).There's a great place to get coffee in the morning.Bed was comfortable, but top sheet was worn with a few holes,chair's seat by desk was badly worn.No hand towels, but they did bring them and wash cloth.Nice to have a refrigerator with a feezer and microwave.Manager was very friendly and eager to help.They have updated alot, but it is an old MOTEL.Very reasonable price for the night.

The folks at the front desk were accommodating and friendly. I’ve stayed here thrice now and have always been satisfied. With the free parking, good neighborhood coffee and dining options, being walking distance to the Shark Tank, and being able to access downtown San Jose with only a twenty minute walk, this place is my go-to spot.
