(eggs not so much); TV was okay; Jeff and Alisa very helpful; got rested.

Room seemed clean but there shower still had hairs on the walls from the previous guest. Also, the water from the sink and toilet had a sewage smell.

The photos are very dated and misleading. This property is being used as long term rentals and has residents. There are pets, smells of cooking, and residents who find it funny to put peanut butter on door handles. I'd urge management to view cameras, but I'd doubt they're operational. Our bathroom door was so rotten and water logged it wouldn't shut. The bath itself was moldy with little hot water or pressure, the shampoos that weren't attached to the walls but sitting in the corners smelled like gasoline. The rug throught our room was so tired, stained and fraying I wore my shoes the entire time. The real test was a piece of bread that was in the stairway, it sat there for 3 days during our stay without housekeeping picking it up. I really can't make these things up. Hats off to the pest company though, no animals or bugs dragged the bread away. My advice, unless you absolutely have to stay here, don't.

When I walked into our Best Western room in San Juan Capistrano, I was blown away by how modern and clean the room was. Exceptional room for sure! The room was spacious and very clean. The entire property is well-maintained, and the continental breakfast was legit, including a waffle station. About 10 minutes from the Los Rios Historic District, which was a real treat to visit, and only minutes away from other eateries. We accidentally left behind some new purchases from our trip. I called the hotel after that fact, and housekeeping had graciously sent the package to the front office. I spoke with Peter from the front desk, who was incredibly helpful and mailed the items back to us. He even went the extra mile to place the items in a box and drop them off at the post office. What a guy! Hands down a five-star experience! Lots of value with the room rate you pay here.

My stay was nothing short of amazing. The moment we arrived until we left. Front desk was awesome. She was able to accommodate my best friend and I because we had a wedding to go to the same day we checked in. And helped with allowing us to check in early. Our room was clean. And the area was beautiful.

Everything was great except we had issue with teenagers above us. Other than that, enjoyed how everything was within walking distance. Would recommend.

On April 23rd, at around 5 PM, we were assisted by a staff member who was not very friendly and provided very vague instructions about the room. However, during check-out the following day, we were assisted by an American woman who was very kind and helpful.

It was convenient and next to our destination. The bathroom was dirty, small, and uncomfortable and the room smelled stale. The "leather" chair was scratched and filthy.

The room is very worn out, from the carpet to the bathroom. The Hispanic guy working at the front desk over the weekend, was very rude. Not coming back.

Close to sightseeing places, very clean updated rooms, Wi-Fi, amenities (microwave, coffee machine, ice machine, friendly reception, quiet rooms, parking for one car, great breakfast! Accommodating and comfortable beds. Entrance was not convenient, we missed it first time. Property appearance needs more TLC, nicer landscaping around pool, jacuzzi was very dirty and smelled and not warm. Our first entrance was seeing a pile of sheets and pillows on the floor and against the wall and corridors were not very clean. First impressions are important.

Staff were very courteous and price was moderate for a very high priced area. Breakfast was good, wifi free and streaming tv options were available. Bed was comfortable, except for plastic mattress protector that made me sweat. Shopping and fast food nearby. All positives. But this property is so worn out, with peeling furniture, damaged blinds, lack of plugs, damaged woodwork and scarred paint. It is sadly in need of updates and refreshed. It’s so dilapidated that it’s hard to feel that the room is clean. Housekeeping was limited and spotty service - 2 days no one showed up at all, therefore overflowing wastebaskets and no coffee replacement. It’s a primo location, but not a primo experience.

If you’re staying facing the freeway stay away or change rooms . Freeway to loud. Also. We also notice I could hear every time someone shower or used the bathroom . The plumbing .

Very uncomfortable experience while we were in the hot tub. Two white trucks pulled up in the parking lot on other side of fence. They got out, looked around, other activity we tried not to make a big deal over, bit it felt very uncomfortable and made us very nervous.

Here’s the deal. I I called them and I asked them if the Jacuzzi was working specifically they told me yes the Jacuzzi is working. It is fine reluctantly they told me so I rented the room then I got here and the Jacuzzi is working. It’s just not hot. It’s barely lukewarm. I feel like I was lied to. I am very unhappy. I specifically asked and they specifically lied to me. I asked them when I was checking in again and they lied to me again then I went and checked the Jacuzzi and it was cold and he said he would heat it up and he never did. It’s still cold. If you like people who lied to you then I would stay here. I will be calling corporate.

I stayed in one of the renovated rooms. Very happy with the room. Could use a little touch up paint but everything else was great. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because my room faced the freeway. It was a little noisy at times.

We had a great experience at our stay. We were celebrating my bday month! The hotel was nice and well kept. I mostly enjoyed the breakfast, WOW! They had from cereal , waffles, oatmeal with many sides to add such as chocolate bites, dried cranberry, walnuts, silk & brown sugar:how awesome! They also had fruit, juice, eggs, cheese with eggs, potatoes, Greek yogurt, bagels, bread, cream cheese, coffee, tea, I am definitely booking this location for my future stays when visiting this area. I was so and am impressed with the breakfast spread I had to compliment the woman setting it up! Great job ladies!

Our stay here was great. The room was clean and quiet. The front staff I encountered were super friendly and inviting. I love that the room had a little back patio, only thing missing were a couple chairs to sit outside and enjoy the perfect OC weather in. I would absolutely stay here again.

The facility is clean and remote—it’s on the corner of a freeway exit and closest convenience is the gas station across the street. The room is large and spacious for two. Dated facility but it has its charm in a sunny and close to coastal area. Will stay here again on our next visit Pros -facility is old but has a beach sunny charm - staff is sweet and accommodating - remote but close enough to Dana Point and other sights Cons would probably be: - single waffle machine for breakfast- had one customer prep 2 waffles which is at 2:30m each so they were inconsiderate of others waiting. - no accessible vending machine after hours and the office machine ends at 10p so we are advised to go across the gas station

Hot tub was super small and not very hot. There was a mouse in our room, which freaked us out. Other than that, the condition of the room and motel were fine. About what you'd expect for a Best Western. The free breakfast was decent.

I in addition, the fire alarm in the room was chirping all night from either a low battery or dirty connections. The front desk staff was unable to get anyone to fix it for us, and we couldn’t reach it. We like the location of the property. We did had an issue with the TV and Maintenance was sent to fix it. The tub was draining really slow so water would built up when you are taking a shower. We were there for one night and Maintenance said they would fix it. Otherwise staff was great, breakfast was really good as well.

This is in a great area. It’s an older property-bathrooms old, but for the price it’s clean and the breakfast is a great addition. Everyone is very nice and helpful. Great location. You can walk to downtown. I would definitely stay here again!!

Unfortunately, my experience took a turn for the worse during the night. The night-shift clerk called my room accusing me of being noisy. In reality, it was the intoxicated guest next door arguing and physically fighting with their partner. This left me feeling unsafe, and I was shocked that such behavior was tolerated. Sadly, the overall atmosphere felt more like a low-budget motel than the Best Western brand I’ve trusted in the past. The worst part? I paid for a sleepless, stressful night, on a bed so hard, I’ve laid on concrete that was softer.

Non-smoking room, it had an strong cigarette odor, the rate was on the high price, this property needs to be upgraded.

The bed wasn’t too bad, and the cleanliness was decent. It is a best western so I didn’t expect anything crazy for cleanliness or beauty. However, the room my boyfriend and I booked with my service dog was filled with ants. We had to quickly get ready for a wedding so we couldn’t switch rooms in the moment. When we got back from the wedding, our bathroom was filled with ants. The person on the phone tried to argue with my boyfriend and said we didn’t want to switch rooms- which isn’t true. We simply didn’t have time to switch right as we called. Wish I could submit the awful ant photos on this review. We only got comped minimally for this inconvenience. Will never stay here again, and definitely would not recommend.

This is one of the better Best Western Hotels I’ve I stayed in! Very clean and professional and I was able to check in a little early without a problem. The room was nice and comfortable. Beds were great, and it was spacious. The morning breakfast was very good too with many options, not just continental breakfast stuff. I will definitely stay here again!

We were extremely tired and still had 3 hours drive time to arrive at our destination. We saw the hotel in the side of the freeway and decided to spend the night. Best decision we have made. Front desk clerk was courteous at check in. Explained the amenities and gave us a room on the 1st floor as we requested. We hit the bed and conked out until 9am this morning! Breakfast had a variety of items to choose from. Highly recommend this hotel.

Run down no frills hotel/motel. We used it to sleep for One night after attending a wedding. The walls were thin and lots of noise from large group of teenager boys staying above us. While everything was some what clean the place is really run down. I fell in the parking area and my knees were black from all the oil and loose tar/gravel when I fell. Other that the Mission Inn there are not a lot of hotels in the area if this hotel was renovated you could charge double what we paid and make it a better experience.

Our family reserved three rooms this past Saturday night. All three rooms had a high pitched noise that kept coming on and off all night and day. It was not the AC unit we could not figure out where this high-pitched noise was coming from. It was very irritating. Also, there’s not much soundproofing. We could hear, baby screaming, and crying and children running up and down the halls early in the morning!

Very bad experience. There was no power the whole time. It was so disappointing I had 4 rooms there for my guests. I felt really bad.

Everything was wonderful but the hot tub could be replaced or something. The inside cement was rocky like it corroded.

No electricity to property, no hot water we stayed until it got dark, the electricity to the property never came on, it affected the hot water so we checked out they were unable to provide light or any arrangements for the darken property, we will approach Expedia for a refund or dispute the credit card payment

I was a bit disappointed in the condition of the property. They are doing some work on half of the rooms,-hopefully, they will also upgrade the side I was on, as well Everything in working order, but I presumed the Jacuzzi was closed, as it was brown. The manager was kind enough to respond to my BW review. The breakfast selection was great Overall, not bad, but a bit better for the price would be appreciated.

Relatively convenient, but be aware that it is on the other side of the 5 freeway from attractions and dining. This is walkable during the day, but you may need to drive or take ride share at night. It was surprisingly and pleasantly quiet given its proximity to the freeway.

It was very difficult to find the actual entrance and there is no large lighted signage to help either. Just an immediate right turn into what looks like a small vacant fenced building lot. Other than this, everything else was fine.

This best western was satisfactory. The room and property were clean, however, I just have a couple of comments. The pool area isn't very inviting and there is no hot tub. The room was excellent and looked nice, but the carpet had an odor of mold likely due to it being older and shampooed beyond it's life. Carpet definitely needs to be replaced -looks fine, but smells. If the carpet was new and the pool was more inviting with a hot tub, I would have given this 5 stars. Based on the above, I give it 3. Front desk Manager was great, everything else fine. If you are choosing this for a quick stay it more than serves that purpose, but not if you are looking for a more luxurious, resort hotel type situation. Hope this helps!

Nice little place in San Juan, I enjoyed the breakfast with some healthy options and the free parking. Bed was comfy. Bathroom was clean and liked the soap and shampoo.

The sliding door to the balcony didn't lock properly, and the room had some kind of bugs in it.

Rooms were clean but very outdated and in need of repair.

We expected a clean and comfortable environment, but instead, we were left feeling uncomfortable and disgusted. Cleanliness and basic hygiene should be a top priority, and unfortunately, this hotel failed miserably. I would not recommend staying here until they address their pest problem and take better care of their facilities.

Room and bathroom were clean. The ironing board and iron were in the toilet and shower room. I would not be prone to using an iron and ironing board that was stored next to the toilet.

The facilities were fine
