Also, we do not need to have our room cleaned everyday, so when we left for the day to do what we were in town to do, we left the "Do not disturb" sign on the door. Everyday the tag was taken off and the room was cleaned. I believe they wanted to make sure our dog wasn't making a mess, but still, there was no semblance of privacy. AND... They had a huge issue with use checking in after 6PM! We didn't arrive until 8, what kind of hotel isn't in the service industry?

Staff exceptional and very helpful. Air conditioning worked great, liked the microwave and refrigerator for my medicines and water. Had nice shampoo and conditioner. There had a make up wash cloth and shower cap. Loved the iron and ironing board. Free parking with about a dozen spaces for cars only.

Stayed here many times, it's a great place to stay for a great price. Rooms are always clean air conditioning works great, never had a parking issue.

It was about a mile from Swanner house, where I was attending a wedding. When I reserved the room, I was afraid it would be noisy because the hotel backs up to a well-traveled freeway, with freeway ramps crossing overhead, and the main road through San Juan Capistrano is on the front side. I was pleasantly surprised to find that with the AC unit running on “fan”, enough white noise was created that all road noises disappeared. The front desk person who checked us in was very pleasant and welcoming, and the coffee in the morning was very good. The water pipes from one or two other rooms, or maybe from the irrigation system, made a HUGE noise when turned on at 11:30 pm, and woke us up. This continued over the next 30 minutes or so. It sounded like a freight train.

Everything that matters was great. It's a simple hotel, not flashy or fancy, but it was very clean, safe, and comfortable. The staff was very friendly. The AC worked well, the water temp was easy to dial in, etc. If you just need a clean, simple place to stay, this place is excellent. And it helps that there's an In-N-Out restaurant right next door :)

Great stay. We stayed in a 2 room king bed and 1 sofa bed. The room where the sofa bed was should have a t.v in it as well. Also, there was no coffe machine or coffee in the room. Other then that it was a great stay

I enjoy everything about this place. Always quiet, beds are very comfortable. Air conditioner works great, I always enjoy a cold night of sleep. This is my definite to go to place when I'm looking for somewhere to stay close to work

The property was simple and well maintained, not anything overly impressive but it was in the right place for my visit and not a far walk from many pleasant restaurants. I felt safe there and although I didn't have a car, there was free parking on the property. The bed was very comfortable. The AC/heat was easy to control. I didn't try the coffee that was available in the lobby even though there was not a coffee maker in the room. The room was recently repainted and very clean. Management and housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful. I would choose this inn again if in the area.

The room was adequate, just kinda set up or arranged strangely. Needed to be more lighting. There was no choice in pillow type, they were all very stuffed, the same. Parking was covered, that was nice. Nice full length mirror.

I was a bit surprised when I arrived but it was fine for 2 nights as it was near where I needed to be. It was better rated than it actually is.

This hotel is a basic and affordable option for short stays. Manager was very pleasant and seemed commited to a pleasant stay.

The property is old and worn. The unit didn’t feel clean when we checked in and didn’t get any better. Amenities were not regularly replaced. The sheets were stained with blue ink and never changed. Disappointing!

It was a small little suite perfect for my husband and I. The location was greatt since I needed to be close to the hospital and the price for the room size and amenities was perfect. The guy at the front counter was also really nice and did us a solid. I would have like more than one trash can. No TV in the little living room, but there was a TV in the bedroom. My microwave had dirty water inside, it was not cleaned. However, didn't bother me since the room was used to just sleep for the night, otherwise this would have been an issue.

There was.not air-conditioning but a big widow fan that made a lot of metal on metal sounds. The train and roads were loader then expected. The room wasnt great. There was only blackout curtains to the walkway so either Everyone who passsed could see everything or I could see nothing. Not staying there again.

While the staff was extremely friendly, it doesn't replace the fact that the place is outdated and needs some TLC. Our room was larger than the norm, but the furniture is old and rundown. When you close the bathroom door you are literally staring at rusty hinges and chipped paint. There was a massive jacuzzi bathtub IN THE BEDROOM! We live in California, and we are always in a state of drought, so there's no way I'd fill a tub this large for one use! The bed was extra, extra, extra firm as it was a 4" mattress sitting on top of a platform (plywood) bed frame. My spouse is still complaining about his back! I didn't see anything in the reviews about listening to freeway traffic all night, but this hotel is located practically on the onramp so hard to avoid the noise. Unfortunately I'd have to say that I'd never stay here again. I don't recommend.

I will never stay here again. I had a friend came over after she was off work and she couldn’t find my room so she went to the office. I got a call that I cannot have visitors and they will call the police how is that even possible. I felt racially profiled so I went and got my deposit back and went to a different hotel. I just wanted to goto a nice beach on my short vacation but got ruined by the horrible front desk people. I will not ever stay here again.

The room was clean and the shower had a good flow of water. One thing may be needed to improve is to install a coffee maker and hot water boiling facility and coffee or tea bags available for making warm drinking water, tea or coffee in the room.

The room was clean. The property is old and small. It's a tiny motel. Calling it an "inn" is kinda funny. If you literally just need a place to crash, it's fine. The bedding was not very comfortable.

Upon arriving at the property, I was immediately greatd by staff. Friendly man. I mentioned it was our first first time at this property and out of nowhere he upgraded us to a 3 bed, which was really super nice, and totally unexpected!! (A big thank you to that Gentleman) The extra room was super nice even had an AC, queen bed, and a TV!! In and out burgers is literally next door, a 1 minute walk. I had a very great experience here!! The room was super clean too and the entire building was whisper quiet!! I will definitely be going back there just because! I 110% recommend this place to everyone!

The room was spotless, and had a fairly comfortable bed. I couldn’t get the cool air to come on after pushing the button, only warm air. I just wanted the fan, not cold air. The shower was great and had great pressure.

Super clean and functional, manager is nice, vending machine is great, and no freeway noise despite the freeway... But the train! Light sleepers beware. Train runs until about 1am and starts up again around 7am.

There is highway sound and a train comes past a couple times at night. Once in awhile a slight tremor from the train. Conveniently located to lots of places and 15. Inures from beach. Felt very safe. Popeye’s next door. Yum. Good price on Truvago. Recommend. Bring a fan for white noise.

The man at the front desk was wonderful, allowing me to check in 2 hours early. The room was clean although really odd. Strange layout with lots of doors. Just had a weird vibe to it. The bed was pretty uncomfortable. Parking is limited.

The one word that describes this place is spartan. My room had the absolute minimum amenities, but the essentials were there. There were places to hang my clothes, put my bag, put my toiletries near the sink, and put my bedside things. The bed was quite comfortable and the shower was good. Even with the double pane windows the freeway noise was noticeable, but I expected that, given the location. I checked in after 11 pm, but I felt safe because there were plenty of people around due to the In-n-Out next door. Noisy air conditioners are my pet peeve, and the wall AC was pretty quiet. I snagged one of the last covered parking spots. There aren’t enough spots to accommodate all cars if the place is full. If you just need a place to sleep and get cleaned up, this is a good value.

The value is there

The biggest issue was cleanliness. We actually found a cockroach in our room, which was really disappointing, especially considering how expensive the stay was. On the positive side, there’s a great diner nearby that we really enjoyed. For the price, I expected a much better experience and a cleaner room. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this hotel.

The room access was via an elevator from the parking lot - just off the street. There was nothing to prevent a non-guest from entering the elevator to access the halls of the guest rooms. I didn't realize the train tracks were right across the street. I heard more trains on Thurs night - fewer on Fri and Sat.

It honestly felt like I was staying at one of the hotels where they were Housing the homeless. People banging on my door at 12 o’clock at night and you couldn’t get any sleep with the traffic from the freeway..

Front desk answered the phone and answered questions prior to arrival. Next to two food places you can walk to. Easy parking. Spacious compared to comparable hotels. Is next to train tracks, did not hear any noise.

After a harrowing day of air travel, it was refreshing to be greeted by such a cheerful, helpful attendant who could not have been more gracious. My room had everything I needed except scissors and tape to wrap a wedding gift and he took care of that too! I would stay at the Laguna Inn again. Jim

The property is old, has been updated but still needs some work. The room I stayed in had broken furniture, paint was peeling in bathroom even though looks like they repainted everything.

Accommodations were fine. Beds were comfortable, no breakfast with our stay.

The rooms should be more sound proof because the noise from the trucks and train woke us up while sleeping.

Reasonable to cheap motel room that was fairly clean, but be prepared to rock in your bed from the train and two freeways it sits between. Free parking, situated in between In & Out, and Popeyes, so there are some benefits. If you can sleep with traffic noise this is the place for you!

The hotel is a bit outdated and with all due respect is just a higher end motel. Especially for the area. Still, we had a nice stay and everything worked as intended.

I liked that the checking in process was easy and straight to the point. I also liked that the parking was easy access. The negative part of this hotel was that the freeway noise is loud and can interrupt your sleep if your window is facing it :( also the property condition could be better.

Nice hotel. Customer service was GREAT. Not ideal for us moving forward but once they were made aware of our issues (very loud location. Very little to no sleep all weekend) they were willing to move our room to another location. It’s located between two freeways, and sandwiched between an In-N-Out and a Popeyes. So early deliveries at the restaurants were not unnoticed. Comfortable bed, clean room and again the management was very kind and willing to move our room to accommodate the noise and local train that runs alongside the hotel. Minimal parking available on site and if none is available then it’s a “find parking in the street at your own risk” unfortunately. Fortunately, I was able to find parking, however it is limited.

The train made sleeping a bit hard. The tracks couldn't be any closer! Right off the 5 freeway, very convenient. I booked our stay here for the jetted spa bathtub but. Found out later only the rooms with 1 king bed have them. That wasn't going to work being that we were in town for my son's baseball tournament. Overall I would stay here again!

Cant sleep whole night due to loud noices outside

We had to evacuate from fires so came down here to get away from the bad air. The room was spacious, lots of room. The noise level was low, fairly insulated from outside not so much the other guests. I think our room was a fluke, but there was an insanely bright light illuminating the front of the building that shined directly into the window. They were very strict about check out time with two employees walking into the room between 11 and 11:08 while I was still in a towel gathering my things. Probably wouldn’t stay again because of that but if you need an overnight stop it works— but this isn’t the spot for your family vacation to land. Really nice to have in n out and Popeyes directly next door though.

The staff is the most humble people I know. They made me and my family feel so you're welcome. We've gone to five star hotels in the staff there are pricks and rude. But this place is more than 10 star to me. Not big it's very small the family who owns it . And I most humble people and they know how to treat people. It also had an odor of drug usage which was concerning. on a positive note, the pillows were very comfortable, but the bedding was cheap, and the comforter felt like a throw blanket and looked mediocre at best.

This was a great little spot. A cute little old fashioned architectural design, with parking on the ground floor, and 3 stories above, including a courtyard. Very cute place! Pretty upgraded - I was pleasantly surprised, very clean, comfortable, provided amenities, and was very reasonably priced. Check in and out were simple and fast, and the gentleman that helped us was so nice. Great little spot. We will definitely be back here again.
