Sanibel Island Beach Resort

We have stayed at the Sanibel Island Beach resort multiple times we like the easy access to the beach and nice pool. The rooms are always clean and the environment is usually peaceful. The only thing we didn’t like about our stay this time is all the construction going on. Me, my wife, our 6 month old and my grandmother in-law stayed together in one room. At 8 o’clock in the morning, we were awaken by “Pump Up The Jam” blaring literally right outside of our door, we thought it may have been a fellow guest, but it was construction workers remodeling the rooms right next to us. The construction was luckily not on the weekend but for the Monday and Tuesday of our stay, it was not too relaxing. Especially for the first vacation we have taken with our six month old. The hotel employees handle the situation well, but as far as who they hired to prime two doors for paint for eight hours a day, did not care at all. Whoever this company was that they outsourced literally had no consideration for anybody. Other than that, was fun :)

Excellent property .....

This was my second stay at this resort and I highly recommend it. It's centrally located and beautifully maintained. The Tiki bar at the pool is nice and the food there and in the restaurant is really good!

Only thing I didn't like was the fact that I could see a light on at night on the other side of the exhaust vent in bathroom. Beautiful beach right behind the Resort was very easy to get to.

We had a fabulous time.. we are planning on vining ban next year. The resort is quaint but beautiful. Wonderful restaurant services, for breakfast, lunch and dinner if you choose to stay on the premises. The beach is right there, the pool and Tiki hut are perfect! We'll be back for sure.

The cost of the rooms and food and drinks are very high. You would think beach umbrellas would be supplied with the chairs. Instead they want to sell them. There is a salt water pool but no hot tubs. We stayed on the second floor. No elevator. Positive was its Pet Friendly at $75.00 a night. But pets aren’t allowed in the pool area or outdoor bar. The rooms are very small. So bring your own beach umbrella.

Also, the poor bar was like a bar in an episode of “The Walking Dead” very boring, no music and very slow bar maid. If you want a fun atmosphere and good music playing at the bar walk down to the “Sundail” we spent more time there then at “The Resort at Sanibel”. Over all the place was clean just not much personality!

It is a older motel, that was remodeled after the hurricanes. The rooms only have a small refridge and an old microwave, no kitchenette. Nice grounds, and on the beach! The price seemed right.

Absolute paradise! I loved our stay here. It was so easy to access the pool, especially with two little kids. The staff who maintain the beach chairs were so incredibly kind and helpful. They even lent a hand when my husband was assembling our carp. Highly recommend. Only downside is that we could not stay longer ;)

The room was a good size, with a fridge and microwave. Having a guide for the TV channels was helpful. There are so many good points--great location right on the beach, a tiki bar, hammocks, and an on-site restaurant. We enjoyed every minute we were here--the staff made us feel like we were very much appreciated guests.

3 day stay was just perfect...great room, perfect amenities, beach was beautiful, pool was just right and staff was very friendly.

Location is perfect and it’s pet friendly. The restaurant on site was a great option to not have to drive and the beach was your backyard!

Upon check in we were told we did not have a reservation. I showed them the hotels.com. booking confirmation . The women proceeded to tell us they don’t work with hotels.com. Anyway she finally found our reservation confirmation in the system. Other than this initial issue our stay was great ! Room was clean - updated . The pool and beach area was great . Nice hammocks under palm trees. There is a little restaurant on there property. I would say again.

We used to stay before new ownership. They removed all the things that made it feel like a tropical vibe. $5 for a cup of coffee when even a Holiday Inn has a continental breakfast for free.

We didn’t have time to enjoy the facilities.

The pool bar and pool closed at 7, which I thought was too early. It would have been nice to swim in the pool and have a refreshment after the day at the beach. Also, I was disappointed that the resort did not provide sun umbrellas as a courtesy. You had to rent them from a different facility or purchase one. I felt this was an inconvenience for those who flew from other states to spend their vacation there. I chose to go without.

Friendly staff, comfortable beds, great location! Appreciate how they have beach towels for us to use and liked how most places we wanted to go were within biking distance (Billy's Bike Rentals was great too!)

This property was very well kept. Rooms were clean, nicely decorated and a good size. Beach was only a short walk away. Pool area was nice. Restaurant was very good and their staff was very welcoming and attentive. We would definitely stay here again.

Enjoyed everything about my stay? Staff was so helpful? Food was great and the pool and Kiki are was fun!! Have been many times and the quick access to the water makes it so convenient to go back to the water again and again.

This resort is so quaint and peaceful and beautiful grounds. We understand the toll it takes to maintain during hurricane season and you’ve done a wonderful job here! We would love to come back!

This was my 2nd time staying at Sanibel Beach Resort and it was just as good as the 1st time. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I have slight mobility issues and my request for a room on the ground floor was honored. As a solo traveler I always felt safe in and around the resort and beach. My shell bag was filled with lots of new treasures. I will definitely stay there again.

The property and location were stunning.

Loved staying here. Although there was someone else’s clothing in our dressers when we arrived but other than that the room was clean, staff was friendly (front desk clerk was not happy we booked the room through a third party/expedia and had some difficulties getting our room keys done), beach was clean. Food was great. Parking easy. Overall 10/10. We will stay here again!

I loved all the beautiful trees. It was not only beautiful, it was easy to spot the resort on the return trip from sea shelling up & down the shore.

If you like the beach, the pool, Shelling and good food. This is the perfect spot. I was here for four days and was wonderful. plenty parking- no issues short walk right to the beach, loved that we didnt have to lug beach chairs down. pool was open but did not go in spent all our time at beach. Will be back!

Loved the location of the property. Staff was friendly and informative with any questions or requests. Chairs and umbrellas easily accessible and already on the beach to use. Their outdoor bar, food and drinks were awesome and so were the bartenders! Can’t wait to visit again.

The room was clean, but they did tell us it was ready and a repair man was still in the room that we had to wait on before we could put our stuff in. Staff was friendly but no real instruction on how to check out, either in person or in writing, so we winged it and just went by standard check out times. The beach chairs on the beach were nice to be able to use and it was nice to have a bathroom by the pool as well. Overall a good stay and would consider coming back.

There was a big black ugly stain in the carpet between both beds. The carpet in that room needs to be replaced.

I wish pool hours were opening earlier and closing later.

Beautiful stay in Sanibel! 🌴☀️ The resort had such a relaxing atmosphere with amazing beach views, peaceful sunsets, and the perfect island vibe. The staff was kind and welcoming, the rooms were comfortable, and being so close to the ocean made everything feel special.

We really enjoyed this place. The location was great and we liked the beach. The food at BRGR was good and in line with prices in the area. The room and amenities were good. The only negative was that it was quite noisy. The folks above us seemed to be stomping around in their shoes every evening until late. That became annoying. Might opt for an upstairs room next time.

We enjoyed our time at the resort. Everything was great except very noisy when trying to sleep. We could hear the guests next to our room snoring and the people above us were terribly loud. Foot stomping back and forth yelling TV loud and more foot stomping back and forth. We're both exhausted from very little to no sleep

A very nice vacation property easily accessible to getting on and off the causeway to Sanibel Island from Fort Myers. The ability to be able to just walk down to the beach and enjoy very nice lounge chairs and collect shells and then cool off at the hotel pool. I had heard that the hotel restaurant had the best burgers in town and I can confirm that. It was very helpful that they also had a smoothie bar for the children. I highly recommend this property and its location.

This is our second time in this hotel, and there will be many more! In front of the beach with all that you need.

The property was very well maintained. The rooms were nicely decorated and very clean. Although we didn't eat at the pool bar/restaurant, it was nice having the convenience right there on the property.

Have stayed at this hotel about 3 o 4 times and it never disappoints. Very laid back the staff is excellent, the location is perfect. Really nothing bad to say.

Nice hotel type of a resort. Resort fee, as far as I could tell, gets you loungers on the beach (brought in around 5) and 2 bottles of water in your room. Nice having the beach behind the “resort”.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. I was contacted each time one of our rooms was ready and available.

Fantastic property. Very clean well accommodated and updated room with comfy beds! The pool and beach area is gorgeous and well maintained. Our only true complaint was the noise from neighbors next door through the adjoining room doors. Those doors are not very sound proof at all. Make sure to bring your own body wash, shampoo and conditioner. They do provide very tiny bottles (for a couple uses each) but they aren’t very good quality products and it’s not enough for more than 1 night stay. We didn’t eat at the restaurant but it looked very nice!

The rooms were spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, with great amenities and a peaceful atmosphere. I especially loved the delicious food at the resort restaurant, BRGR. Everything was well-maintained and exceeded my expectations. This resort was the perfect place to relax and unwind. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and relaxing beach getaway, and I can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful beach and restaurant/bar. The room was pretty standard but nice. Small bathroom and the bed wasn’t super comfortable. Great location and property. Wouldn’t call it a resort but nice for our quick weekend stay. Loved the beach!

We had to wait 30 min in our car before being able to unpack. The room was worn down. The room had no trash bags in any of the trash cans. There were parts of the room such as the transition piece from the rug to the tile being busted off. The outside of the room was kind of dumpy. The stairs and balcony walkway area were coming apart. Not impressed with the $25.00 / day charge for beach towels and chairs. The website says towels are included. To get a new towel you have to return the used onne to the front desk. There were limited umbrellas at the pool. The resort website offers rental bikes but it doesnt tell you that in order for the bike rental place to deliver the bikes you have to rent for a 3 day minimum. You have to drive to the bike rental place to actually rent a bike. This was our first visit to Sanibel Island and this resort. We would not recommend this resort and will not be returning in the future. Extremely disappointed.

The pool and bar were very nice areas. The staff at the bar were very helpful and kind. It was nice to have a seashell washing station and an outdoor shower for washing off before and after using the pool or going on the beach. There was a nice area with bean bag toss and hammocks just outside the bar. It would have been nice if there had been a few more chairs around the area to sit and enjoy the view. The view was blocked by hedges when you were in the pool/bar area. The beach was further from the resort than expected. It wasn't a bad thing, it was just a further walk in the sand, which was hard for my limited mobility. The beach was well maintained and beautiful. Again, it would have been nice if there had been more chairs available for sitting on the beach. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. They provided laundry soap and were able to change dollars into quarters, so we could use the washer/dryer. They also were helpful with other requests. The lobby was a nice place to sit indoors and visit with our group. It's very cute and spacious for sitting. The cafe/restaurant were nice as well. We enjoyed sitting on the patio each morning with a coffee and enjoyed a meal and drinks there on our final night. Staff is very helpful. Ask for clarification on times that it is open, as that was not always clear. Excellent experience.

Second stay. Great location and over all positive experience. Friendly staff. Some suggestion have on site restaurant brochures in room. Key fobs did not work as well as they should and door was extremely hard to open.

That said, there were a few quirks we wish we had known ahead of time. It would have been helpful if the hotel gave guests a heads up about the strong taste/smell of the island water, similar to how they warn guests about sand flies. Also, since the hotel room doors open to the outside, it would be nice if parking spots were assigned or numbered by room. Searching for parking and then walking back to the room at night wasn’t ideal. Our room itself was comfortable overall, but there were a few maintenance and layout issues. The door to the room didn’t fully seal, and we could see daylight coming through the edges. On our second day we had to call the front desk to request housekeeping. Noise could also be an issue at times with doors slamming and dogs barking in nearby rooms. The bathroom setup was… interesting. The sliding barn door with frosted glass looked modern, but one of the bathroom lights stayed on like a nightlight, so the light shined through the frosted glass into the bedroom all night, which made sleeping harder than expected. Overall, we still enjoyed our stay and made wonderful memories here.

We have not been back to Sanibel since Ian, and we made a great choice staying here. Staff was very accommodating and welcoming. It has a nice little bar in swimming pool. Great deck chairs on the beach everything you could want Sanibel.

The hotel is very well located with access to the beach and close to a variety of restaurants and bars. The property itself is a bit updated but clean. They have a very convenient bar at the beach entrance. Tips: they have chairs available they bring to the beach but you need to bring or buy the umbrellas, so if you can bring them from home do if not, they sale them at the reception. There is a restaurant at the property but we didn’t go there, we explored other near by places, all very good!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay this weekend! We have previously stayed on the Captiva side of the island so this was our first on the Lighthouse end. Excellent hotel beach access within a short walking distance with plenty of chairs to use, great shelling, very clean rooms with comfortable beds and a tile shower with dual shower heads. Food at the bar was ok, shrimp was terribly overcooked for a Florida standard to the point of inedible but Mahi sandwich was excellent. Drinks were reasonably priced. Parking was easily accessible and the wristbands made access to rooms very simple. The drive to Bowman or Blind Pass beaches is about 20 mins. There were many restaurants to choose from within easy driving distance, we really liked Del's for breakfast and Gramma Dots for marina dining. Rooms had a fridge and a small microwave. There is a lovely grove of palm trees and grass just before the beach access that also had full size hammocks for use and cornhole games. As a bonus it made finding the hotel after a long beach walk very easy. Would recommend stopping for your own sunscreen and deet-free bug spray before the island since the hotel selection is quite small. Staff were friendly and housekeeping did an amazing job of keeping the same under control and making sure we had plenty of clean, large beach towels. Overall a great experience and we would love to stay here again!

Efficient room cleaning. No hassle towel policy was great. Only detractor from a wonderful property is the Sanibel policy of not releasing chairs until 9 am.

They took the beach chairs away at 5 pm, the pool and outdoor bar closed at 7 pm. For an island resort this was not conducive to a great vacation. I felt limited in what I could do. I would not visit again

Our room was fine, as advertised. Though,if there were hygiene bags in the bathroom would be a good thing to offer. The food is pretty much simple, I’d recommend rent bikes and go out to eat somewhere else like at Jerry’s or the light house cafe. We did enjoy our stay, it was great!

Bar was well stocked. We did not overlook the beach. The room was clean. We had 2 queens instead of a king. We didn’t mind—we weren’t in the room much.

The beach view was beautiful room very clean. Bar was alright disappointed that things closed so early. Was not happy that when we came to check in there were extra fees besides what I paid up front. Restaurants not very many to choose from. But my sister and I had a very nice time. Met so many nice people.

The room smelled like mold, but they reimbursed me for some of my stay.

The rooms have been recently renovated. They are clean. there was a small fridge which we used and a Keurig coffee maker and microwave which we did not. There was no stand to put our suitcase on so we put 2 hassocks together which worked. Bed was great. New big tv. For a “resort”room it was good. Staff were polite and helpful. Didn’t go to the bar. The resort is connected to the beach. We got a room that was almost the furthest from the beach so it was quite a slog going to and from carrying Stuff, but the positive is it is close enough to do that. If I go back I’d try to get a room closer to the beach. There is a nice pool which I didn’t use but lots of people did. There is a bar at the pool. There is a restaurant connected where you can get breakfast, snacks and burgers. I would stay there again, just see if I could get a room closer to the beach.

All of the staff we interacted with were super pleasant and very friendly and accommodating. The room was a bit basic, but was quite clean and comfortable. Proximity to the beach was A+!

Beautiful place actually is our favorite hotel in Sanibel Island. Good environment nice people. We really enjoy our mini vacation!

The resort exceeded our expectations. I only wish that the outdoor bar and grill was open later than seven. We did not have a beach view, but it was a very short walk to the beach and having the chairs right there was extra convenient. Would definitely stay here again.

Great place to vacation! The beach was so close we could just stroll to it everyday. The staff was very amenable and prompt. The property is slightly old but rooms were clean and quiet. We got our best sleep in a long time! Thanks folks!

Last minute decision to go to Sanibel and was pleasantly surprised to find available at such a great resort! Updated rooms, great pool and bar, beach front and lunge chairs and hammocks! Would definitely recommend!

Clean room, newly redone since the hurricane a few years back. A few steps to the beach. Enjoyed the tiki bar. Restaurant food was very good. Would have liked a few more options for breakfast. I would recommend this resort for all the above.

The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. The pool was nice and well kept. The restaurant on the premises was very good. Enjoyed coffee, shakes and burgers. Only minuses are the front desk staff wasn't very knowledgeable or friendly and the lack of smart TV's is pretty inexcusable in today's world. Enjoyed our stay.

Upon arrival the room was spotless. The bathroom and shower were lovely and large. Towels were replaced daily. We were on the lower level and it was only a short walk to the beach. There was an outdoor shower by the pool for cleaning the sand from body & feet and there was a shell washing station for cleaning your treasures.

Wonderful stay. We booked a golf view room with a balcony and it was worth the extra charge for sure. I think there's only 7 of them. Overall, the resort was lovely with friendly staff. Don't miss out on one of the best burgers I've ever had at the onsite restaurant. Will come back for sure. Thank you for the great stay!

Great place to go! The beach is right there close walk. The pool was nice with the bar right there. The only thing that was frustrating was we booked a king bed thru Expedia and arrived and they were not able to give us a king bed and got two queens. Other than that the place was fantastic and would recommend!!

Great staff, decent amenities

The room itself was very nice and Neely refurbished since Hurricane Ian. The bathroom was spacious with a large glassed shower, generous vanity and lots of towels. It had a frosted glass barn door on a soft close track. It was a nice touch. The king size bed was very comfortable, but the stiff, heavy cotton blanket was smothering. We removed it after the first night. Fortunately, we had our own blanket with us. There was a very large Samsung tv on the large dresser. There are great bedside tables with lots of plugs and chargers. The room had a microwave and refrigerator. Our balcony overlooked the heated pool, pool bar and the ocean. It was lovely. There were lots of beach loungers and hammocks to relax in. There was a shell cleaning station and outdoor shower, too. Overall very enjoyable experience.

Clean room, unfortunately our room was located directly under where cleaning crew started every morning at 6:30 am. It was like trying to sleep on vacation under a bowling alley.

Great beach hotel! Room is clean and bed comfortable. All the staff are friendly and accommodating. Tiki hut fun by the pool. The restaurant is great for a lite bite and a full meal. The beach is steps from the hotel. Perfect get away even during the cold spell.

A really good looking resort. A great place to stay - directly on the beach with a great coffee shop and burger restaurant that we used whilst we were there! Easy to find, all the staff were fabulous and nice to have a daily housekeeping service as the sand gets everywhere! Check-in was easy and managed to get a room a little early which helped us get more time on the beach and in the hammocks.

Morning comes and still no hot water and no ETA on when it would be fixed. We went our for breakfast and upon our return at 10:20 am, the hot water was working. Just enough time to take a shower before check out. To be fair, the hotel comped our resort fee and the insect repellant we purchased, but we were not impressed with this place.

The room was clean and staff was very accommodating. The property is situated on a lovely beach and the pool was heated so we were able to swim in spite of the cooler weather.

The staff will start communicating with you before check in and it’s great to be able to communicate via text. We were suspicious our air conditioning wasn’t working but we sent the text requested a check in case we were doing something wrong, and it was broke and immediately was replaced. The offer to switch rooms was offered also but they were so quick we stayed put. The rooms are dated in size and style. The shower is now a walk in shower which was excellent. Nice grounds and easy stroll to beach and they have beach chairs available. Beds were comfortable to us. The bar is by the pool area and seemed nice. We went to the coffee shop and it was a really nice area with different seating styles. Easy drives to the best restaurants and rentals. Vitamin sea and sand and shell therapy were provided here!

Every thing was ok

The one female bartender made us feel as if we should be leaving. We had only been there less than an hour & were in the middle of a game. After asking "do you want to check out" everytime one of us stood up, they just brought the bill to us. So we checked out & went somewhere else to spend our money on food & drink.

The cafe had a fish smell when you first walk in, other than that everything was excellent

The room was clean and the bed very comfortable the beach was very close. The only issue I had was there was no hot water in the shower and the pressure was really lacking. Also the person that had the room next to mine had small children and pets and they were very loud and I had to call the office to complaint. The hotel has an excellent restaurant on site that has very good service and meals

AC was good. Room was small/simple and clean. The shower was barely lukewarm turned up all the way. The walls were super thin so it was noisy. Overall a decent motel but I was a bit disappointed at the steep price for a standard room. I was there on high season so maybe prices are more reasonable at other times of year.

The grounds and the beach bar were very nice. The only thing that wasn’t up to par was that the room could have been cleaner. The floors looked dirty and in the shower around the inside of the glass doors had mildew. The front door was very sticky and hard to open.

We enjoyed being so close to the beautiful beach on Sanibel and having dining options on the premises. The hotel room itself has some items that need repair, but over it was decent and the AC was good. We enjoyed our stay there.

Restaurant staff was excellent. They catered to the special requirements we had. Direct beach access with beach chairs setup was a big plus.

The room’s location looking out on the pool was perfect as it provided easy access to the beautiful beach as well as to the pool itself and the pool bar. In addition, the resort provides comfortable chaise lounges both at the pool and on the beach. There are also several shaded hammocks located in the palm groves between the pool and the beach. The food from the pool bar was excellent! The shrimp tacos are the best I’ve ever had. Isaiah at the pool bar was a delight to interact with, personable, friendly and extremely efficient. Samantha at the front desk was also excellent. I spoke to her in person or interacted with her by phone several times. She was always friendly and clearly communicated answers to all my questions. My only issue was that noise from adjoining rooms woke me up early on several mornings. My neighbors were not loud but you can hear speech or TVs through what must be rather thin walls. I would suggest ear plugs for light sleepers like me. Otherwise, I highly recommend Sanibel Island Beach Resort.

The property itself is brand new with outstanding, modern accommodations. Beyond the rooms, the resort offers excellent on-site dining and a beautiful pool area and is right on the beach. The team went above and beyond to make my parents' anniversary special, even providing thoughtful recognition with complimentary champagne and sweets. Make the reservation—you absolutely will not regret it.

Room was updated, great bathroom, comfy beds. Food for meals on the property which is great especially for breakfast. The weather was a bit cool so unfortunately I didn’t get to use the pool, but it looked nice, with a beach bar next to it. Best was that it is located on the beach, worst was that my door was terribly difficult to open, I had to use both hands to push or pull it both from the inside and out. But would definitely stay again!

Coctails are pricey, basic, and literally no alcohil. Bring your own bottle, sippy cup, make your own. Pool is small but clean. Sits right on ocean. Take your strong bug spray and off to fight the evening bugs. No kids club. So bring your own entertainment. Overall, its great for adults seeking centrally located. Up half a mike is a cute cajun spot to the left. Good food,get the bloody mary with extra toppings. Then at the right, is a great cafe, Lighthouse Cafe. Best bloody mary on island. Excellent breakfast. Great service, go early! Excellent resort, daily housekeeping. Remodeled rooms. Would stay again! Hope they get a good bartender or better training!

The room was mediocre, the shower had no pressure, their definition of room with a view is foliage!!! That’s what the staff told me when I said I reserved a room with a view! I got the parking lot, building next door and common foliage that I have at home. The heated pool was Luke warm and no hot tub!! I would not go back there are plenty other places to stay!!

Also under the toilet tank (l had something fall back there) looked like it was leftover construction debris and dust. When l first went in the room l found a peanut M&M on the floor. It’s busy season. Maids are probably pushed to their limits. My previous & 1st stay there was flawless. I do love the place. Access to beach & proximity to it and everything else is fabulous as well.

Resort was in a perfect location affording a lovely pool with direct beach access . Close to shops and restaurants with great options . Disappointed that the resort restaurant did not afford many options for breakfast lunch or dinner and didn’t have take out coffee after breakfast . Personnel were both engaging and welcoming ….room was dated but clean and comfortable ! Atmosphere was tranquil and quiet …

Clean, comfortable rooms, nice bed-linens & mattress, nice bathroom. Recently renovated. Beautiful pool with convenient pool bar. Steps from the beautiful Gulf beach. Clever wrist bands that serve as room keys and allow access to amenities. Would welcome additional ecco-friendly enhancements (like replacing small plastic shampoo/conditioner/lotion bottles).

If there is one thing to add it would be that they might, in the future have rooms that are a little bigger and have furniture for sitting down to watch TV and on that note have TV's that you can have the option to stream. Last but not least is that they should have an elevator for the second floor for people who cannot navigate steps with heavy travel bags.

This was our second time coming after 12 years everything was renovated. All I can say is this resort is so quiet, peaceful and relaxing. We came with our 2 small children and we were able to just have peace and relax. Service was great everywhere. We can't wait to come back.

Wish the pool stayed open until 9-10pm. Closed at 7pm is hard for late evening swimners. Very quiet and secluded.

The staff was not courteous. The greeting was cancelled I help you as we walked in the door and after that was can I get your id and credit card and here's the arm band and the directions to your room.

Overall a nice place to stay. Not really sure what our resort fee was for as there were no canopy umbrellas, bikes, or tennis courts as pictured on the website. Staff did upgrade us to a better room upon check in and all were friendly.

Everything was very good except arriving very late and finding that the shower was broken. It was fixed as soon as we asked the next morning, but didn't appreciate starting my visit without a shower after a super long drive. The room should have been inspected before assigning it to us.

The noseeums was the only problem we had. Although our bug spray said deters noseeums, we were eaten alive on the beach. Pants and sleeves at sunset. We will be back. The property was ideal for beach front access for a quick overnight getaway. Nice property and good service

Restaurant service and food was good. For breakfast, it is more like a cafe. We grabbed our coffee and breakfast sandwich and headed straight to the beach. For lunch the day before, I had a Sonoma Salad, it included fresh grilled chicken. It was very well presented and delicious. My husband had a burger which he said was very good. I would highly recommend the stay here! Easy beach access, parking is included (public beaches on Sanibel charge $5 an hour and from what I read, you need to get there early) Tons of shells and good memories.

When we checked in we were surprised to see a fairly new looking room everything new nice. On the second night i needed to iron my shirt we had diner reservations the iron & board are in a little cubby built into the wall and low & behold i pull the board first out comes a large womens leggins & a used condom and iam a little old for a condom & my wifes a medium all day long... this only the beginning next my wife goes on the beach & gets attacked by NO- SEE-UM BUGS (Sand fleas) 26 bites & counting.. but what aggravated me a day before check in they the hotel let us know that they had this bug problem which kind of made me want to cancel.. But guess what if you cancel you lose 1/2 the money. ... so yeah they should change the name to Sanibug island ..Not Happy...and if i don't hear from somebody soon this review has just began Respectfully submitted Rj Corio

Perfect beach front hotel.

On our first night. Fire alarm went off. Called front desk. Rude lady did not know anything rest the alarm went off again. Fire department called. Smell of smoke coming from an electrical room right behind our room. No information and no follow up. Next morning house keeping knoced on our door at 9:30am unacceptable. Hair dryer handle dirty filter dirty. Coffeemaker needs to be replaced. Shower floor needs a better claning. Also bathroom floor. Some mold on tiles. Open Closet in bathroom for clothes not a good idea as bathroom was full of steam after showers. Grounds need to be better kept meaning removing deadplants and weeds

Safe parking; efficient staff

The Resort lacks a place to sit and or hang out with your group. Just the lobby area has a sofa and chairs on one side, and 4 chairs around a coffee table on the other side of the Lobby. The Evening and Nightshift Front Desk personnel were great with us hanging up front and talking, they even interjected with our laughing and conversations.

Onsite coffee house and Burger place were awesome. Tiki bar staff friendly and nice pool area. Beds were comfy and the air conditioning worked like a charm! Only warning when you check in get the spray…those little sand bugs or whatever they are called come out and that oil was a save our legs MUST!!!

Clean but dated

The location was perfect, the rooms were freshly remodeled, clean & beautiful.

The pool area was great with food and drink right beside it. We also liked the fact that waterproof wrist bands were provided that worked as our room key. It was so nice not having to worry about keeping up with a key. Overall it was a great experience.

THE PROPERTY WAS NEAT AND ORDERLY. Staff WAS VERY NICE AND HELPFUL. COULD USE MOVE ICE MACHINES.

Everything was excellent except the tiki bar was closed on Sunday. Im guess because of continued construction. This is my 3rd visit to this resort and the remodeled rooms are beautiful!

I don’t have a pet so I’m not sure. Our room did not overlook the beach but some rooms did. We were a very short walk to the pool and the beach - the hotel was quiet and the room was well furnished. It was perfect for a weekend getaway.

Very disappointed this time around after years of visiting the area and this particular hotel me and my spouse are calling it quits and i’ll be sure to share my experience with all my employees as well with family and friends. The reason for the one star is because i specifically ahead of time asked for a second floor which by the way the resort confirmed my request but when i arrived they had booked them all so we ended up on the first floor that night around 11,30 pm it sounded like we had a stampede of elephants above us i decided to wait a while but it was getting worse i phoned the front desk and older lady answered and told me she would call the tenants above us and nothing happened so i called back and she answered very annoyed and told me she was busy imagine that at that time of night when the place was at half capacity or less . The next morning i went to the front desk and this lady as soon as we started talking she said oh the people above you are an elderly couple and they are. the sweetest you should meet them i said to myself and what are we but it gets better she already had are names and room number without us telling her . I explained listen we are on our 26 th anniversary and we chose this location cause this was were i proposed didn’t even get a happy anniversary or nothing just a look like get out of my face and leave . The day of the checkout she was there again with the same attitude and racist face the employees told me that’s her attitud.

It was very nice. Well kept, convenient and right on the beach!!

Beach access, rooms clean. Had a family with small children next to our room. If the stay is for adults only, maybe put families in another area or adults too.

Really nice beach to relax, awesome restaurants just a beautiful island favorite breakfast place was the lighthouse cafe, dinner was Doc Ford, Mudd Bugs, keylime bistro for the keylime pie! So basically if your into nature, beach, and relaxing this is the island for you just bring spray for the no seeums although the hotel sells a spray for 7.00 not bad at all. But overall a nice relaxing 4 day getaway!

Lots of shells to hunt through. Staff were pleasant and knowledgeable about the area and the island.

Quick trip to relax. Perfect location right on the beach! Several different room views available- I would choose beach view next time but my room was just perfect. Mid week was nice and quiet, really was just what I needed!

Everything was brand new. It was a great property.

Nice hotel. Love the accommodations. Super clean. Daily maid service a real treat. Pool and bar in close proximity. Beach is a short walk. Beach towels, chairs and loungers were provided at no extra cost. Free parking for guests. Ice machines in central location.

The resort was exactly like the photos. It was not over, represented or misrepresented. We loved it there and plan to go back. I hope to take my daughter, granddaughter, grandkids, and friends because I plan to go back for years. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The rooms are beautifully updated and so comfortable. The staff are wonderful, the pool is nice along with the bar and having direct access to the beach is a win! I have been there twice now and will be back.

Property looked dated.

This was out 1st time staying at this resort and also at Sanibel Island. An amazing hidden gem with a great beach. We took walks and enjoy ti thoroughly. The pool was nice but as with most resorts very busy. Food was good and the staff were great. Judy and Milton at the bar fed us ad kept our drinks coming. For sure we will be back

The Sanibel Beach Resort was in pristine condition. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast bar was delicious as was BRGR. But those pesky sand fleas....LOL

The room was very comfortable and clean, the coffee was great, the Tiki bar made excellent drinks and food, the pool was awesome

This was our first time staying at this property and we absolutely loved it. The property was clean, we were able to walk right to the beach, the on-site restaurant was very good and the service was fantastic!

The location is very convenient. The beach was dirty with plastic trash. We had to ask for our room to be cleaned which was annoying. Loved Bowmans Beach and Captiva.

The employees didn't want to help when you asked any question. Our bathroom was not very clean. Kept losing cable tv access. Didn't have enough towels. The photos online are NOT as they appear in person.

The place was wonderful! Very nice stay! Only problem was the No see-ums!!! They were terrible so much that we couldn’t go to beach especially at night…and people were playing their music so loud at the pool it was terrible… thank God security came and told them to shut it off!

Our newest “favorite place to stay” on Sanibel. Staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. The pool is large and clean and comfortable to swim in, and most importantly the beach is a short distance from our door! Reasonably priced and lovely. We will be back!

very clean property, housekeeping daily, the only housekeeping complaint is that some days we would receive water and shampoos would be refilled others not. beautiful location right on the beach. only issues with the beach was there were no beach umbrella they would sell one for a price of course, beach chairs would not go out till 9 am and back in by 6 any other time you could not use them. there were no benches to sit on the way to the beach which was an issue for me due to recent knee surgery. the rooms did not have out door chairs for use. the attached restaurant was great as well as the coffee bar there.

I can be a bit of a hotel snob, and this property impressed me. Everything felt spotless—no stray hairs, no lingering smells, none of that “Orlando Water Park Resort” scent I can’t stand. Even being so close to the beach, the room felt fresh and exceptionally clean. The sheets, bathroom, and overall setup were perfect. The food and drinks at the bar were great, and I was thrilled to see my old buddy Melton still working there! What really stood out, though, was how friendly and accommodating the staff was. That made all the difference. This hotel is special to me. I grew up in Sanibel, as my grandmother lived right across the street, and I spent a lot of my life staying here or hanging out at the restaurant and bar. She’s now at Shell Point retirement home just off the island, and on this visit to see her, I decided to stay at the newly opened hotel. I couldn’t have been happier with that choice. From thinking I’d never stay in Sanibel again, to finding an affordable, clean, safe, and welcoming hotel that I’ve seen evolve over the last 30 years, it was an amazing experience. I highly recommend it.

Chris at the front desk was kind, funny and helpful! Doggy welcome bag was amazing! Great place for people and pets. Melton and jackson were super kind, attentive and fast. We will definitely return and soon! Awesome beach and shells!

Room was on but shower pressure was low, the bathtub and wall of shower were replaced in a different color tile. Did not have laundry bags.

Be friendly stAff

We were in a handicap accessible room just by chance, however, it would have been difficult for someone who is in a wheelchair to even open the entry door as it is so heavy. It is the farthest room from the pool/ocean and bar as well. One other issue was the housekeeper, who knocked and we told her half an hour please and we would be out of the room. She came knocking 10 minutes later and was making the bed as I came out of the bathroom. I left in such a hurry, I forgot my water and snacks for the beach. There is a very bad no-see-um bug problem on the island. The good part is that the hotel did tell us about in an email ahead of time. Bug spray is a necessity unfortunately, even if you try to sit at the pool or the bar.

We had a great time. The short proximity to the beach, hotel restaurant, and parking was extremely convenient. However, grocery stores, and pharmacies, are rather far, roughly 14 minutes away by car. Goody bags are even given to dog-owners at check-in, including little poop- bags, little rubber plates, and even a blanket. Lastly, what really impressed us was the cleanliness and comfort of the entire room, as well as the service. The staff, especially the front-desk, was readily available to assist with any issues. It was a great experience. I highly recommend.

The property was excellent with all of the amenities and staff were both professional and pleasant! Upon arrival, the room was clean but the hiusekeeping staff missed a couple of small things. That said, they more then made up for it with a thorough cleaning and the staff accommodated our late check out. Would certainly book there again!

The beds were very comfortable. The restaurant in hotel was very good. Burgers were amazing. Everyone was so friendly. Location was perfect. Definitely be back.
