- Friendly and accommodating staff
- Convenient location close to the beach and places to eat
- Cleanliness issues in rooms and common areas
- Hidden fees for pets and early check-in

I was pleasantly surprised that this place had both excellent prices and maintained good quality service. Will be back :)

this place was a dump. avoid at all costs-scary
- 5/5
Super clean, easy check in.
- 3.5/5
The location is safe and close to the Boardwalk. The bathroom wasn’t very clean, the water in the shower never got warm enough. The desk clerk seemed very bothered when the card key didn’t work and we had to be let in.
- 1/5
Room had dirt and sand on the floor when I arrived, as well as old urine still on the toilet seat which had been broken. I had to ask the front desk for a dust pan and broom to sweep it myself. There was mold above the shower head and on the walls of the bathroom. Our plugs next to the bed did not work, and the soap in the shower was half used and not hung up on the wall. I was never offered another room, or help from staff to get my current room cleaned. The communication and urgency to guests was awful and the walls and ceiling of the rooms are very thin. I could hear the kids above us running back and forth in the morning at 6 am. The neighbor hood and area it’s in is sketchy and I would not recommend leaving any type of valuables in whatever car of choice you decide to bring there. Parking is small and compact. If you drive a truck do not even attempt to go in. Will not ever recommend to anyone. I would only recommend this property to someone I disliked secretly.
- 3/5
They don’t serve breakfast like it says online very big disappointment
- 5/5
Only thing pool towels were not available and fire pit was not working
- 4.5/5
Check in and out. The lady at the front desk was professional and cordial. The neighbors next door to my room were loud and up all night.
- 2.5/5
Location was good. We liked the coffee machine downstairs. The place is getting run down. Broken things around the property are noticeable. Room wasn’t completely clean when we arrived (hair on the tile floor) Stain on carpet. No window blinds so it was hard to sleep with the street light right out the window. Walls are paper thin! We heard lots of noises the first night. Every night around midnight the people above us stomped and woke us up. I ended up getting earplugs. Overall, I wouldn’t stay there again. It just wasn’t a good fit for me. But everything else available in Santa Cruz was so much more expensive. There was no bathtub. We requested one but didn’t end up getting a room with a tub. The room NEEDS black out shades. Clean air-conditioning filter. We all had allergies and my daughter was sneezing the whole stay. It was also a noisy place.
- 5/5
great.. ..friendly staff...Location, Beach easy to get to...lots of choices for meals...Budget to high end... nothing to dislike here.....and the cost was good value for money spent

I was very disappointed. The male that checked us in was terrible. I did not feel welcomed, he is not good for customer service. I felt like we were bothering him. The bathroom door did not close all the way and it was super squeaky. There was trash behind the bathroom door when we arrived. The lotion container in the bathroom was empty and there was no shampoo in the shower ( it seemed like the base that hold the shampoo bottle had been broken for a long time and has not been replaced and therefore there was no shampoo in the shower ). I did not enjoy our stay at all. Very disappointing.
- 1/5
The balcony was a plus, but the room was dirty. They type you aren’t sure you want to put your head on the pillow. The hallways smelled like pet urine throughout the hotel. It seems a lot of homeless people use this hotel regularly and the neighborhood is not great, although it does have a central location and the pool looked like it was fun for families. The staff was the worst I have ever experienced. They were rude from the moment I contacted them on the phone to clarify check in. There was zero hospitality… at best.
- 5/5
Exceeded my expectations, Clean room and property. Nice staff l, overall very satisfied with the stay. Also the price was $100 cheaper than anything in the area. Will definitely be back.

I believe it is a family owned hotel, possibly a former Days Inn? The staff is so friendly and accommodating.. The whole hotel smells amazing! The rooms are clean, comfy, and have nice finishes. The grounds are gated, keeping them more secure. The pool area is updated and very relaxing. This was our second stay there, and we'll definitely stay there again.

They gave us access to a room that was already occupied. Imagine my surprise walking into the room and seeing that there were bags and people stuff everywhere! Thankfully there was no one actually inside the room otherwise it would have been even more awkward. I came back downstairs and the front desk was not apologetic at all about the situation. I understand it was a holiday weekend and they were packed, but I did expect better service.

Property is clean although the scent in the room was not pleasant.
- 4/5
The rooms were spacious and we had a little private patio that was so nice! It was close to the beach and boardwalk and the pool was fun for our grandkids. It’s a very busy hotel so the parking got tricky as it filled up. We would definitely stay there again.
- 4/5
The room was huge for two queen beds; it could fit an extra blow-up bed if needed. The room wasn't cleaned thoroughly. I saw some hair in the bed and crumbs on the floor. It's within walking distance of the Santa Cruz Boardwalk, approximately. 10 mins walk. We didn't get to use the pool because there was a good number of people enjoying the pool and jacuzzi. It felt safe and quiet in the areas. There's an apartment in the area and across from the Surf City Inn and Suite Hotel. El Chipotle Taqueria was a 6-minute walk, and the food was worth it.
- 5/5
Great location, staff helpful, booked 3 rooms for whole family, there were a all next to each other. We'll had fun in pool, great vacation
- 4/5
make sure the toilet seats are replaced when wore out ,make sure the aerator are replaced when very little water comes out of faucet, and maybe get bigger refrigerators, other than that I will come and book again, thanks
- 5/5
The property does seem a little dated, but it’s cute and quaint. The pool was nice and clean and the double hotubs were a good plus! We were also able to check in 2 hours early which was great. The rooms were also very spacious. Only complaint I have was that our room faced the parking lot and it was extremely bright from the street lights as the blinds weren’t black out.
- 5/5
Was a wonderful staying, room was more that we expected, Wes gorgeous very spacious and very clean definitely we will comeback.

Very welcoming, near the boardwalk. Friendly staff.

The front desk was rude, when we requested extra towels. They charged both of our credit cards, even though we requested total be on 1. Very few amenities for the price they charge for the stay.
- 1/5
The mini fridge was leaking. We had absolutely no body wash, shampoo or conditioner. The hallways smelled like cleaning solution and was way too strong but the rooms smelled bad.

I had a very lovely stay. The staff is very polite and friendly. As well as the manager. Good walking distance from the beach, downtown, literally anywhere. Rooms are clean, great stay. Had very mi or inconvenience but overall great stay. Definitely recommend.
- 5/5
Good parking
- 4/5
The room was clean, and the area was safe with good parking. The light on the mirror in the bathroom did not work, but I wasn't expecting everything to be perfect for the price. Everyone around us was very loud.
- 1/5
Dirty room. Dirty sheets. Dirty bathroom. Hair left behind on the sheets and in the bathroom. Cleanliness was prioritized and there was even a raccoon scoring the trash cans outside near the pool. We checked out less than an hour after checking and I don’t write reviews so that says everything.
- 3/5
the room was spacious and beds were comfortable. you could see some wear and tear but it was a good room overall! the pool area is nice it has some good seating areas outside the pool to just hang out and the pool was nice and clean and is has two hot tubs! free parking was nice and right by the boardwalk! they have a coffee machine in the morning that has many options! inlcuding hot chocolate which my kid loved lol! neighbors were up til 2 am super loud but literally as soon as i called they went and talked to them and it stopped.the only down falls was noone came to refresh our room i had to keep going back for towels and supplies.

The room served its purpose. Everything was good. Slept well Went to work!

Location wise is a mixed bag. You are right on one of the main kind of downtown Streets, there are lots of college kids with loud cars going by where if you are a light sleeper you might not make it through the night. The only good thing about this place I can say right now is that the staff was attentive and pleasant.
- 5/5
After having to abruptly leave a different hotel because it was filthy and had roaches, my friend, me and our kids booked this hotel last minute and we ended up being pleasantly surprised and grateful. The price point was wha we were looking for, the rooms were large, had a nice out door lounge area, pool was great, and it was clean. The staff friendly and accommodating. And best part….. no roaches. I will be booking this hotel again when I visit in the summer.
- 5/5
Loved this stay. Really nice location and rooms are good sized. Great for dogs! Would happily stay again.

This hotel is big and set in the middle of a busy block. The noise was a bit bothersome at night but I used a sound machine so I was on. They are doing a lot of remodeling and it does look very nice. Our room was brand new with all new furniture on the balcony and it’s tastefully done. We did have to pay $20 to check in early at 1pm, even though it seemed there were many rooms available and no one was there at all, I was still thankful to be able to get in the room. I felt for the price they could’ve included at least a continental breakfast. They do have a small store in the lobby, but it’s quite expensive. This might be good for a big group because the pool area is large and nice, and there are lots of loungy places to gather and enjoy company.. If you’re having a big party this would be great. You could be loud and it would fit right in with the neighborhood.
- 5/5
We loved the room that we had so if you ever do get a room that we suggest 307 it has a bath tub and it’s very spacious. Highly recommended definitely going back.
- 5/5
Place is really nice, quite clean and the staff was friendly. Our room was clean huge ready on time. Couldn’t have asked for more.

We spent the last 2 days with no hot water in the room, I went to the front desk on Saturday morning to let know to the receptionist, a young lady, that we had no hot water and that my kids had taken a cold shower in the morning, we're heading out, so a asked to fix the problem by the time when we return, around 6:00 and I went to the front desk to ask about if the problem was corrected and the receptionist who identified with the name of "Luz" , she didn't wanted to tell me her last name (I not even if Luz was her real name) told me that already was fix, I went to the room (room 104) and checked the shower for hot water, no surprise, still no hot water, I went back to the front desk and the lady was gone, the guy behind the front desk told me that her shift was already over, I asked to the new receptionist if she told him anything about the problem and he didn't know anything about it, by the way the name of this guy was Sam Niir, so he went to check the boiler, an hour later he told me that he need to fix some problem with it, at around 10:00 PM I went back to the front desk and this guy Sam Niir was gone, his shift was over accordingly to the new receptionist who was another guy named Shihab, who neither was told about the problem, so at this point I realize that the receptionist weren't relying the info to the next shift and neither obviously to their manager, that day I had to take a cold shower again, they failed to relocated us in another room, so we left on Sunday.

Good enough for a beach trip last minute
- 3/5
Room generally clean, definitely they sprayed for clean scent but the bathroom was in poor condition. Hair in the sink and on the floor. The shower was broken but we were tired and it was late.
- 4/5
PROS: We were pleasantly surprised with the size of the room, which also had a private courtyard area off the sliding doors (room 118). The pool was clean, parking was easy and well lit, the room was clean, the showers had hot water, no sign of bugs in the room, the beds were comfortable and linens clean. The property is close to the Boardwalk - and convenient as a hub to explore the area (Capitola, Natural Bridges, Shark Fin Cove, surfing spots north and south, UC Santa Cruz, etc). CONS: The noise from directly above was a bit much, but that group seemed to settle down around the same time we went to bed. There were a couple of deferred maintenance items (ie missing slat on one of the blinds) but nothing really concerning. OVERALL: This is an older property, but it absolutely met our needs.
- 1/5
Homeless people all around property. Mattress’s were so old all you could feel were springs. Parking is tight and gets full fast, coffee machine has limited hours. Rooms are not sound proof, could hear inappropriate noises in adjoining rooms. Horrible parking, requested more towels and had to keep reminding them. Stayed multiple nights and had problems with room key and would have to continue to go to the front desk to resolve. Check in on Expedia says 3pm however hotel only allows check in after 4pm.
- 4/5
No fee self parking. Entire property was fenced safe environment.
- 3/5
Not great, but not awful. First of all, the guy at the front desk does not make anyone feel very welcome. Zero personality. But whatever. The price of the place seems pretty good for the area and it's a good location. It's close to the boardwalk and a 15 minute walk to the hipper part of town. Some of the rooms, including ours, have a cool outdoor space. That was nice. The room itself was fine with a desk and a couple chairs. There were some strange things about it, like the fact that the toilet wasn't secured to the ground very well and there were multiple holes in the blankets. So, if that kind of stuff doesn't bother you, this place is OK.
- 4/5
Hotel is older but rooms were clean and acceptable.
- 3/5
Close to the boardwalk
- 5/5
Good experience
- 2/5
Loved the pool area. That's it. Definitely wouldn't stay here again. Tried to put why. But would not pass review board.
- 3/5
Staff were courageous and professional. What I didn’t like that a window blind a panel was missing, we had to cover with a towel. Cleaning staff need to improve on cleanliness, there was a stain on the bathroom wall by the toilet and the computer chair was filthy.
- 4/5
The hotel is nice just a little outdated but the room where we stayed was big enough for our family & it has a direct access to the pool area. I just wish they will clean & decorate the small garden like area outside the rooms going to the pool area. That would be a great lounge area &/or a picnic area. Hotel was close to the Boardwalk probably around 7-10 minutes walk. Pool is gated which is good but since they allow pets, some guests brought their dog inside the pool area which in my opinion should not have been allowed. Our family stayed for 3 days & 2 nights & on the morning of our check out my hubby was locked inside the bathroom. For some reason the lock on the knob won’t work so we had to let the front desk know & they immediately called the manager who came in right away with a handyman even if it was very early in the morning. He was very concerned & got the issue resolved right away. Thanks Sam we will surely recommend your hotel & will be back for sure!

Nice staff and clean rooms
- 3/5
Not enough parking. People were very loud in the middle of the night.

I have not stayed at this motel in a number of years. It has gone downhill. First, they are pet friendly but they do charge $25. for family pet. I have a service animal and my friend has two dogs. One is a pet. I was helping my friend by paying the deposit for her room. I signed up the pet and paid the $25 fee. And the $150 deposit. Then signed up my service animal.

Very friendly very helpful recommend

We stayed because we had to attend a morning wedding the next day. We checked in left our luggage and left. After being in Santa Cruz boardwalk on Friday for the movie at the beach we returned around midnight to the hotel room. We wanted to shower but we had no hot water we ran it for 30 minutes then called the front desk who told us to run it for 10 more minutes. Still no hot water so I called the front desk and got no answer so I had to go to the front desk. Front desk stated another room had complained as well. He stated he was going to check the boiler. I went back to my room and minutes later he came knocking and verified we only had cold water. While he checked I sat on the bed and could feel the bed springs
- 5/5
Pet friendly, bed comfort, awesome pool
- 3/5
Have an area for a light breakfast to be provided but only offer coffee. Liked the double jacuzzi tho.
- 1/5
They false advertised continental breakfast and the towels smelt must and like butt I tried to get clean towels they said they had none till the morning. Also said to bring towels before they can give us clean ones so I had to bring them down that’s when they said they had none . I better get my incidental deposit back of 150.00 we took video stayed one night in the room and it was left clean and nothing broken They were not friendly or accommodating for 337.00 a night I don’t reccommend Solares hotel Santa Cruz ca sorry
- 3/5
Walls were paper thin. Upstairs sounded like they were rearranging furniture until 230am. The outlets didn’t work so I couldn’t charge my phone. Hot water in the shower didn’t work and it took them a while to get it working.
- 1/5
Do yourself a favor and do NOT stay here! Pictures on site is very inaccurate of the hotel Hot water heater was broken my entire stay ( which was 3 day stay)
- 3/5
Hot water supplies issue should inform guests upon checking in. Hot.water resumes only after 6:30pm.
- 5/5
The dingy gate around the property seemed concerning but I like that there is only one way in and out onto the property. I felt like it looked like an unsafe area but felt safe upon check in and beyond. Love the smells on property too!
- 4/5
Staff was friendly, clean pool/hot tub and clean room. Website has check in at 3:00pm, my Expedia room confirmation also had 3;00pm, but when we got there they told us it's 4:00pm. So we paid $40 for "early" check in.
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly and professional
- 3/5
The hotel location is great but the evening check-in guy needs to have welcome greeting smiling he just has straight up answer. We were given a room and it didn’t have any soap, shampoo or conditioner for shower; soap, container was missing, window has blinds missing if someone is changing clothes or sleeping people could pick from outside. We have kids and young daughter. We had to put a towel over it when I went to tell them they didn’t even change the room for us.

Excelente hotel,
- 5/5
Hotel Solaris is very affordable and close to the boardwalk, but not too close where there’s tons of traffic. The room is easy accessible and the parking is easy unless it’s a weekend and then it gets full pretty fast.
- 2/5
We found a fork in between the sheets in one bed. Found the toilet cleaner scruber INSIDE the toilet. People upstairs seemed they were stomping their feet up until 1130 pm and again at 530.am We ended up leaving earlier than our checkout time.
- 5/5
My stay was wonderful. The room I booked was a family suite. The first floor had 2 double beds, lounger, and full walk-in shower. Upstairs was a king size bed, a lounger and a full bathroom with a jacuzzi tub. The room was clean, quiet, beds comfortable, and towels plush. We asked the front desk for additional beddings because one of the teenagers wanted to sleep on the lounger. They brought the beddings in a few minutes. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. I wish I was able to stay longer
- 5/5
Renovated room, clean.

Was told by check in clerk there was breakfast in the morning at check in. I didn’t even ask. Then I over heard another staff telling another gues anbout the breakfast. I realized i didn’t ask the time so, I message the text number that replied answers to questions while at the hotel. It told me breakfast Monday to Sunday: 7:00 AM - 9:00 AM. There was no breakfast and the coffee machine didn’t work. Woman at front desk barely looked up when asked a question. She acted like we were bothering her. She said there’s never a breakfast . How weird to lie to so many guests. Very disappointing

What we thought would be a great family fun day took a sour turn when we got this hotel! We arrived early at 1pm hopefully we could check in early since I had received an email stating it was an option. When we arrived at the reception we were told check in was 4pm hotels.com has it as 3pm check in time. We decided to go to the boardwalk to enjoy so sun and food! We came back at 4:45 and the girl at reception informed me that they had no room available for us that we had to wait, she started to argue making comments to my family stating No one told you to go to the beach like it was our fault they didn’t have a room for us, she also continued comparing our reservations to a burger order, she was just completely rude! Making a very hostile environment! When we got our room almost 5:30!!! It had a used toilet paper roll, we had no soap or any bathroom supplies. The balcony door lock was not working making it unsafe for my son! It had a stick to lock it! The pictures on the website do not match at all, when you arrive in person it looks like a hunted place. I would not recommend anyone staying here!

The pool and spa was open till late at night which was convient for me.
- 3/5
Staff is friendly . The hot tubs were yellow and the jets weren’t working correctly, may of been due to low water level?
- 4/5
i liked hotel location! close walking distance to boardwalk, and the beach.. my room was on first floor- near common area, and pool. this area became busy and noisy in evening and again, in early morning. Other than that it was an okay stay.
- 5/5
Hotel Solares is an older property with very affordable prices What was very impressive was the pet friendly room, which had laminate floors (no carpet, hurray) that allowed easy cleanup for any accident. I didn't bring my dog, but in a hotel, she usually is nervous and I'd never had a pet room that let me clean up her little messes. The really cool part was outside the patio door. Each pet room was fenced with astroturf over some of the area and a big sand box for the pets. You could leave the patio door open and your pet can go in and out and have its own yard. Wow, how cool is that?
- 1/5
Dirty floor. Very noisy. I paid through Expedia and then was charged again by the hotel. They had asked for my credit card so they could put a $25 deposit in the event that there were any "incidentals" that needed to be paid for. There wasn't even any coffee in the room. I checked out before 8 am. Today not only did the $25 stay on my credit card. They also put another $150 charge on it. My $134 room has now cost me $309. I need some help with this disaster dump
- 4/5
The one issue we did have was the parking, we could not find parking spots on Saturday night. We had a parking pass for the hotel since it requires it and we still could not find parking. We also noticed there were multiple cars parked that did not have a pass. This was pretty unfair. We ended up parking in an area that wasn’t for parking but the hotel reception stated it was okay and in the morning, I moved my car when some spots opened up. This is something I definitely think the hotel should address somehow. We pay for the parking and we didn’t get any parking spaces. Everything else that was good definitely outweighed the bad so still overall a good experience.

Great room for the price. Clean

Everything was fine, I wasn’t happy about check in. When I booked check in time was 3:00 pm I got a text from the hotel that I couldn’t check in untill 4:00 pm but I could get on a waiting list. I arrived early 12:30, asked about the list and was told if I pay 35.00$ I could check in at 1:00 pm. On check out Dayi left early. I got a text from Hotel Solares saying I could check out later at 1:00 pm for 40.00$. It felt like for a few dollars more………….

Parking can be an issue
- 1/5
The room smelled smoky like Marijuana. There was no hot water. The bed had hair all over the sheets and pillows.
- 3/5
Doe the price the hotel is okay, but if you stay more then a day you will be doing the towel fetching and sheet changing
- 5/5
The hotel was great. It has been tastefully remodeled and we really enjoyed our stay. It was convenient and walking distance to the Boardwalk and many restaurants. Check in and check out was a breeze. We will absolutely stay there again.
- 1/5
Roaches! This hotel has roaches crawling all over it. My room had tiny roaches all over the walls. It was dirty and smelled bad, it did not look like they cleaned it. I complained about the bugs and was told I should check out without a refund if I didn’t like it. When I did check out they called to tell me that they were keeping my deposit because the room smelled. That’s how they gave it to me! I honestly feel like they kept my deposit as retaliation for complaining about the their roach infestation. This place is disgusting and the staff are rude and scammers. I traveled with my 1 year old and my 12 year old daughters, this hotel ruined our entire experience. Don’t trust this place
- 4/5
Staff very friendly only concern they put a 150.00 hold on my credit card and 4 days later still after check out and no reason so have to deal with that aspect and not happy
- 4/5
The staff was very good. Ckean spot
- 4/5
Great spot close to Boardwalk.
- 3/5
It's run down and some things are dangerous like broken cement edges of the pool. I used to stay here years ago and it was nice, now I don't wanna stay here again and I visit Santa Cruz often.
- 5/5
I love that it was only 10 mins walk from the boardwalk. Dogs are welcomed. Staff were nice and helpful. Rooms were clean. The upgrade price wasn’t that bad. Quiet place and area. Pool and hot tub were available. They should bring the breakfast back and have the coffee machine available 24/7 especially it’s always cold in santa cruz. We loved our stay and we recommend the hotel for sure!

We stayed overnight and had a good stay. They pushed our checkin time to 4pm but they also pushed our check out time to 12pm, which was ok with us! Our room was clean, parking was available, and we slept peacefully. Although we had wifi, the guys were bummed they couldn’t connect the PlayStation to it. We would definitely stay there again. The only issue I had was connecting with them by phone prior to using Hotels.com. I booked directly with them, yet when I called 2 days before, they didn’t have my reservation although all of my information was given to them. He said they would call me back, yet I never received a call back. Luckily, one of the rooms was available on Hotels.com. I would advise that if you use this hotel, book through Hotels.com. It would be the best way to go, especially since all communication is provided through the site. Other than that, all went well. Oh, be prepared to have the hotel to hold $150 on your card. We got it back timely but I wasn’t made aware prior.

Felt unsafe due to large groups of people doing drigs drinking alcohol. Neighbors blasting clubbing music at 7am.

Nice service and clean room

They take out $150 for deposit and do not give put it back in your bank account for 3 to 5 business days not good if you have a budget.

Nice enough place for the price. Really close to the beach and good food around.

Spa was nice,

this was a rebranded days inn. the Majority of the towels had stains on them. There was a lot of hair in the bathroom.

There was some work (painting) begin done on the property.

Our king bed dog room had privacy fenced in outdoor space with a sliding glass door & 2 small redwood trees inside! It was very nice to sit in the morning & have coffee. Very cute! Charging outlets by the beds were nice. Bathroom was updated. Overall it’s loud because it’s right by the Boardwalk, but clearly one of the nice & well priced hotels in the area within a walk to the beach. Charged $150 deposit but that is fine with us. No trouble parking.

-smell and too many flies

Unfortunately, the bed looked like linens had not been changed. There was hair on the sheet... went to the front desk to get new sheets. Got a new sheet for both beds, but I had to ask twice.

I loved the outdoor patio outside of our room. The staff were friendly and made it easy to check in and out

Pool and hot tub were great. Nice clean rooms. Bed was a little hard but over all nice hotel for the price.

Rooms are clean but sheets have a wear smell !! I won’t not stay here again

Very nice value for the money, a little older but they clearly made some good efforts to modernize the decor. Could be cleaned better-tidy but found used floss and soap ring in the bathroom.

Bed was very comfortable. I got there late and left early so sleep was all I had time to do. Had a good night's sleep.

The location is very good, near the boardwalk. Although they charge $10 for parking it's still better than parking at the boardwalk. one can walk for 10mins to save $$. The hotel staff was quite nice and friendly. The manger allowed us to keep our car in the premises even after our checkout which was great. overall, a good stay.

Extremely satisfied with our stay. For the price we paid, we had low expectations. But this was so close (walkable distance) to boardwalk, rooms were well maintained, beds were comfortable, swimming pool temperature was good even for a April first week evening time. I don’t think any other place would beat this place for the price we paid. Staff was great, particularly front desk/registration staff. Thank you! We had a fun time weekend.

I liked the location!

Wall very thin. Can hear people talking in the room next to us and walking down the hall. Did not get much sleep. Rooms very nice. Staff not very friendly. If you book at hotel free parking otherwise you have to pay.

This place was just an uneasy stay, we were one of two groups for my weeklong stay, and that was for good reason, it reeks of bleach everywhere and the streets around are a homeless hotspot. there is no breakfast served so don’t let that trick you, my room was dirty and not whipped down with the thinnest sheets and payed extra for a room without a working fridge and i went down to ask to change rooms and they ignored me. the stay was in a convenient place but not worth it overall.

Hotels.com CHARGED MY CARD but DID NOT RESERVE a room. So I HAD TO PAY TWICE. Therefore, I expect a FULL REFUND.

Breakfast was simple, but had good coffee and a cappuccino machine!

Parking was not free and extra $10 was charged for outdoor parking in the property. Noisy - we were waken up by other room played loud music at 5am. Staff were helpful to keep the noise down.

This hotel could be awsome, decent size rooms, great balconies on the rooms and what could be beautiful grounds, including a court yard pool, hot tub, and glass elevator. Unfortunately just run down and not well taken care of. A little maintainence would go a long way.

Had a room booked and the desk clerk wanted $50 per dig which i scoffed at and he cancelled my room.

Liked being able to walk to beach during the day. Would have like some fruit available for breakfast.

very unprofessional front desk attendants. My shower did not work, remote did not work and the refrigerator did not work. Lost about $72 worth of left overs. My biggest issue was my shower not working!!! my husband went to the front desk to notify them of the issue they said they would send someone over which they did, but we were told they were going to call their supervisor. We waited about 30 minutes, no one came, I ended up going to the front desk and that’s when they said they can take us to another room ONLY to shower. What an inconvenience that was, not to mention EMBARRASSING!!! My husband and I walking in our PJs with our clothes in our hands through a lobby filled with people. I contacted Expedia and they told me they would not be able to refund my stay cause the hotel told them they gave us a new room!! The room was ONLY to shower!!! Nothing else!! Expedia gave me $25 I. Key points. Totally not worth that! I reserved and paid full price for a room in which the shower should be working!!! If that’s the case give me half of my refund. Disappointed in Expedia and the hotel! Shame on you all!! Front desk people didn’t even apologize for the inconvenience. This makes me want to book through another third party and no longer use Expedia. So over all my stay and experience was HORRIBLE!!!!!!

First of all the service in general was terrible. The guys at the front desk were very rude and ignorant. I was supposed to stay there for 2 nights with some people but only ended up staying for 1 night because we found bed bugs in our bed. So as soon as we noticed that we were out of there. No way we were going to stay there. The beds were so hard and uncomfortable and the blinds were broken so the light from the street was shining in our room the entire night. The handle to the shower was very hard to turn on so we had a hard time in the shower. The overall experience was just horrible and I will never stay at this property again.

Terrible hotel, bugs painted into the walls, paper thin walls you can hear everything going on around you. We didn’t sleep at all.
- 1/5
Hidden fees galore. Staff have terrible attitude and our borderline hostile. Will never stay here again and wouldn’t recommend it to someone I dislike. There is onsite parking that you must pay for. Claim to be pet friendly but have multiple hidden fees for pets. Only one entrance. Says breakfast included but only serve bagels. The property is in a rundown neighborhood. Horrible. Can I give them zero stars?
- 3/5
It was okay for the price. Surrounding neighborhood area is a little rough. We had a basic room. One bad thing was it's two floors and the layout was like an apartment complex. People upstairs were heavy footed and we had to deal with the walking around and thumping from the ceiling.
