The man and woman I met at reception were extremely friendly, helpful. My room was spacious, had lovely amenities, high quality bed linens and pillows. Although the room was furnished in beautiful antiques, the bathroom was state of the art and spotless (though I don’t enjoy rain showers). It advertises a Continental breakfast, but turns out that is only because it is buffet-style. Very nice breakfast spread every day. This and all the beautiful old houses converted to inns in Savannah have lots of stairs, so not for people who have mobility issues. The inn has a reserved space in front for check-in and out, but only street parking is available. Fortunately that was easy to find within 1-3 blocks. Street parking in the tourist parts of Savannah requires using an app for payment—easy and relatively inexpensive, and one can extend the time through the app without going back to the car. Just have to remember where you left your car! Very enjoyable stay and definitely I would reserve there again.

However, the staff was amazing and were going back (and staying in another room) just because of the staff. Chuck and Miss Dee Dee made us fell at home. One important issue, they have 3 floors with old steep stairs and no elevator! They need to notify clients about this when they chose rooms.

I booked one of the rooms that had access to the courtyard on the ground floor. It was nice to have the option to sit outside, although people did walk by outside. We were able to take our luggage out through the courtyard to our car without having to pull it upstairs to the check-out desk and then downstairs to the street. Chuck (?) was very helpful. The breakfasts were were fresh and filling. We had omelets, bacon, muffins, croissants with jams and butter, yogurt and fruit, juices and coffee. The room was very large and clean. Foley Inn also alerted us to the Park Savannah app, and we were able to park our car for the entire visit by using the app. The bed was comfortable and we had a great time.

Overall the hotel is great. Location is amazing. It’s very atmospheric. However we got a room on first floor and we were waken up at 6am by someone exercising in the room upstairs with fitness ball. We’ve heard every move through the ceiling. Once exercises were over the guy with leaf blower showed up and entertained us for next 20 minutes. I would recommend the hotel but on higher floors.

Be ready and able to take stairs! We were on the 4th floor and did some huffing and puffing. But the location is great and could walk to the trolley station, restaurants and boutique shops. A beautiful square with lovely trees and benches was just in front of the property as well. Breakfast was great and the coffee even better. Great location on Chippewa Square. Walking distance to resturants and cafés. Parking is a pain because of ghost tours, church services, etc. If you're lucky, you can pay for street parking but if not there are lots in walking distance you can pay for via a QR code. You can extend online before it expires. It's expensive. A two day stay could be hundreds if you don't land a street spot. Security wise there are codes on entry and exit doors but be sure to hit the lock button when leaving or entering so the doors into the inn are actually closed. This includes doors for the courtyard and stairwell area into the main building where the kitchen and dining room are at. If you notice an open door, simply hit the lock button and double check. Rooms were very clean. I didnt do breakfast (wish I did) but it's a nice set up. I'd rather stay in the historic section rather than near the waterfront which feels more like a party. If you want a chill time stay in an inn. Your room has a deadbolt on it and landline phone. Late check in is possible but you have to call a head of time. There's actually two front entrances. The main one is the red brick staircase which can be a pain if you deal have issues with stairs or need to carry in lots of bags. The second entrance has white brick stairs and has less steps. Also, in the back there is an entrance which you can drive up to but you need a code.

Lovely historic centrally located b&b. Staff very helpful. Lovely breakfast with eggs, fresh fruit, yogurt, croissants, coffee, and tea. We were able to leave our car parked on the street out front and using the Savannah Parks app put money in remotely to Park for $18 a day. This allowed us to enjoy walking through the city. It is a nightly stop on the ghost tours as a skeleton had been found in the wall. Would definitely stay there again.

The staff were all very friendly. The location is PERFECT!! It’s an easy walkable location to everything the historic district has to offer. We will definitely stay here again. The Only thing that may be an issue for some guests is depending on your room you may have several flights of stairs to climb so choose your room wisely. It wasn’t an issue for us but I did want others to know.

Cookies in the afternoons were delicious. Breakfast was good but often included cheese - for example, I could not eat the eggs one day because there was cheese inside. The quiche also had cheese. Some people are lactose intolerant! Other criticism is that there isn’t really a sitting area. There is one couch facing the fireplace (unlit) with poor lighting. The rest of the first floor is filled with dining tables and chairs - which no one sits on. The whole first room facing the large windows is essentially unused. The tables in that room should be replaced with couches - so guests can lounge there under the sun and read a book (or chat).

When we got to the hotel at 9;06PM there was no one there to greet us. Just an envelope with our name and room number. Inside the envelope was our key to the room and instructions on how to find it. The instructions were not accurate, there was no room number on our door or around the door, plus we had several guests try to help us find our room. It took over an hour to find our room that night. We had a bed that sunk in the middle. It was supported at the bottom by a 2 x 4 piece of wood. The furniture was really outdated. It was not worth the price we paid.

This is our 2nd stay at the Foley House Inn and it didn't disappoint! Chuck, the manager, greeted us tenderly and was kind and gracious the entire time. He told us some funny jokes (like he did previously) and even took the time to personally bake us some delicious white chocolate macadamia nut cookies (which were not served on a Sunday) for us to enjoy while we rested before dinner. Our room was so quaint and welcoming! The bed was comfy and all the amenities were waiting for us upon arrival. They also have a coffee bar set up in the morning before their breakfast to allow plenty of time to wake up! Speaking of breakfast, we so enjoyed the warm omelets and sausage/bacon each morning with other croissants, muffins, yogurt with toppings and cereals. There was a nice mix of juices as well. We ate in the livingroom area or had the choice of their cute patio in back. The Inn is located in the heart of Savannah and so close to many restaurants and the water front. There is paid parking on the street out front for a minimal fee of $8 per day and free on Sunday! Allison and Dedee were so friendly and helpful with check in and check out. All in all, a great 2nd visit! We will be back Foley House Inn!

This propert is pretty good. The only items that ahould be reviewed. 1) for the smoking area, additional filtration should be added to avoid the odor reaching the room. 2) for no apparent reason we were locked out of our room. Staff had to call a locksmith and they too do not know why the main deadbolt was locked. Staff chalked it up to a possable ghost( if you believe in that). Staff was great about the issuse and had us backin with in an hour.

Stay was great the first two nights, but the 3rd night a resident kicked in the houses front door because they were locked out. This was at 2am. 4 cop cars and an hour plus later things finally settled down. Our room was directly under the front door and incident was very disturbing. Our security was highly jeopardized. The next morning, the staff wasn't even briefed about the incident. I knew more than the front desk staff. This was the most disturbing part of all.

Coming to Savannah for the 1st time, wanted a safe place, boutique/bed & breakfast type. This hotel was juat the right match!! Shout out to the front desk, all that I met: Deedee, Lesley, and Faith. Who went out of their way with service. I was on the 1st floor, room was substantial, very comfortable and quiet. Perfect for our anniversary get away. Breakfast was perfect ( quiche, yogurt, sausage, juice). Afternoon cookies and tea. Garden area where you can sit at night. Can I give 5 🌟 catty corner to Juliet Lowe's birthplace, convenient area, easy walk to sites and plenty of eateries. Parking on the street was $12/ day.

My stay at the foley house inn was absolutely incredible. The room was well kept and beautiful. The entire building is ornate, beautiful, and classic. Breakfast was served in a beautiful dining room to the tune of Vivaldi “Summer”. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and will definitely be staying here on any return trip to savannah.

The property exuded an enchanting charm, with its picturesque architecture and meticulously curated details that created a warm, inviting ambiance. Perfectly nestled in an ideal location, it offered both serene tranquility and easy access to local attractions. The staff were exceptionally gracious, their genuine warmth and attentiveness elevating our experience to one of unparalleled delight. PROS: Staff is very nice and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Rooms have a lot of charm and character. Geared more towards couples vs people with small kids in my opinion. Close to activities to walk to but far enough away to be quiet and get some rest. CONS: If you have a car not sure about parking but I did not so not a big deal.

This is a beautiful historic property. The common areas are well appointed and feel like old luxury. The breakfast is an event. The staff are so warm, personable and accommodating. Be prepared for charm, ambiance, and a few less conveniences than a modern hotel. Stairs are a part of the experience, as are some drafts and old plumbing.

My husband and I enjoyed our 2 night stay at Foley House Inn. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was surprisingly tasty. Our room, 102, was directly below the breakfast area, so we were awoken by the sound of foot traffic around 6:30am both mornings, which was immediately followed by the sounds of school children at the adjacent school, so there was no hope of going back to sleep. It wasn't a deal breaker for us, but it is something to consider. I would probably select a different room when booking again, though I suspect hearing other guests and outside noises is not unique to the lower floor. The room and bed were very comfortable and the location was great. Overall we had a lovely time, and highly recommend visiting Savannah, especially in Spring. :)

My husband and I loved our visit to Foley House Inn. The staff were fabulous - helpful, cheerful, and welcoming. The breakfasts were amazing and served in the charming Victorian style parlor and dining room. The location on Chippewa Square could not be better. The Inn accommodations suited us well as we could manage the flights of steps to our room (there is no elevator). The room was charming and spacious. The whole Inn might do with a bit of sprucing up (carpet cleaning), but otherwise clean. I would like to see the artwork in the main areas better curated to reflect the Victorian era. Even given that, we would definitely come back to stay!!

Our room was on the third floor, no elevator, but we had a balcony that overlooked the square. The room was very clean and spacious. The Inn is very old with decor of a time past. The only drawback is that the rooms aren't very soundproof. You hear everything outside clearly. My room was next to a school yard where kids play basketball at 7:30 am. UGH! The location is amazing! It's within walking distance of everywhere in downtown Savannah and we thoroughly enjoyed walking around the squares. The hotel itself is charming and the staff is very friendly. That being said, this is a historical site and, as with any older building, there are repairs that need to be made. We stayed in one of the outer rooms and it had a very strong mildew smell. The reason why became apparent after a hard rain - a large leak came in from the ceiling and window. Overall, this is a charming site, but it could use some repairs, at least in the outer rooms.

The main objection is the lack of ramp or elevator for those who need accessible accommodations. This needs to be largely stated on all information! My husband recently had knee surgery and having to navigate two full flights of stairs definitely put a damper on this stay! I asked for a room change to a lower level (though we would still need to navigate the stairs in and a full flight to rooms), and was told that they were fully booked. We did have a staff member take our baggage up the flights of stairs for us, and this morning we got them down on our own - not a problem for me but tricky for my husband. I noticed a more senior population at this inn so I feel sure others were also surprised. My strong advice is to proclaim LARGELY on all reservation info that there are no elevators. Had we read all of the fine print on the app we used, we might have seen it, but we didn’t and it definitely put a damper on our stay.

Location was great. Walking distance to historic district and city market areas, lots of dining options. Room was comfortable, but may have been a bit moldy. Bathroom vanity seemed like a bit cheap/flimsy. Back gate entrance to facility wasn't particularly secure, looked like it had been broken into or attempted to and could have possibly been pushed open with some effort. Staff was missing after 6:30 or 7:00. I needed to ask about leaving key for early departure, but no one was around. They'd indicated at check in they would be available until 8:00 pm. Otherwise, as mentioned, nice enough place to stay, but had to depart too early to take in complimentary breakfast. Could not open door to "balcony".

This is a historic hotel - voted top four bed breakfast places in the US, but the cleanliness level is a bit prehistoric. The bathroom tiles are cracked, exposed junction boxes in the bathroom, floor and shower area full of previous guests body hair and to top it - a large and very dead cockroach. Aside from that and a very annoying jutting out bed corner that continually attacked your ankles and the ok breakfast, the hotel was ‘different’. Artwork was impressive. If only they had such taste in their breakfast and maintenance of the decor.
