I took the room as a more affordable option than my usual Marriott stays. I prefer the brand consistency, so this was an exception for me. The staff were very friendly, the room was clean, though just not the level of what I usually see at my typical Marriott stays. It's fine for what I needed, a cheap place to stay for one night.

After check in we headed to the room. Given the price I wasn’t expecting luxury accommodation, but the room was dirty and had an odor. Went back to the desk and mentioned stains on the carpet that looked like blood, which they assured me was paint. Told them it was unacceptable and was going to look for a room elsewhere. Thuy told me if I wanted a refund to take it up with Expedia.

The room was very clean, and it was clear they are working on repairing and remodeling the hallways and doorways. Parking was ample, but we did not try the breakfast, opting instead for Dunkin’ Donuts next door. The staff was helpful, although communication was somewhat difficult due to the glass barrier separating them from the customers.

Parking was fine, breakfast had all the right items, staff was pleasant but the room itself was sub-par—things didn't work (like lamps, clock) no black out curtains couldn't pull the drapes closed either. Was moved to a better room, but hotel still needs an upgrade. Hallway carpets stained and dirty. Patched drywall in hall (unsanded or painted). Was told we got a "re-done" room, but another employee in the morning contradicted that information. Glued dispensers of hand soap and lotion in the bathroom fell off the wall in the night. The shower curtain bar was very corroded—this is in the re-done room....One had to unplug a light to turn it off..But the bed was great, very comfortable so all was not lost!

Recently stayed here for just one night during travels to a further destination. While the property is dated, it was very clean and comfortable for our one night. We had requested a king room and were pleasantly surprised that the room was one of their king suites. Yes, the furnishings were not modern, but the suite included a huge bathroom with large vanity counter, toilet, jetted tub and very small shower. All clean with 2 hairdryers supplied, a magnifying mirror and the usual shower supplies. There was a separate sitting room with large tv. There was a separate bedroom with an additional tv, dresser and desk. Plenty of outlets and space. Breakfast was complimentary, but very basic. There is fast food nearby and also a great restaurant we found for dinner a short drive away. Not sure how often this property is busy, but there were probably only 2-3 other guests this time, so a very quiet night. Easy check in and check out. The only staff we ever saw were one clerk at the front desk.

Tv didn’t work. Which was quite sad because our stay was just a night away to relax our plan was a movie but we couldn’t because the TV reception was horrible. Beds were meh, pillows sucked they were almost like full of air and would deflate. 2nd floor hallway has an Erie dark feel to it.

    4/5

While the staff was friendly and helpful, the general area is not the most appealing. A shortage of actual "restaurants" means you're limited to eating at fast food spots. Not an easy area to walk in either, as the few sidewalks I found were uneven, broken, or littered with trash. The hotel itself is OK if you just need a bed and a shower but if you're looking for a getaway weekend with your partner or you're on a business trip, this might not be the place for you. Staff is excellent.

Small damages in the room (head board marks on the wall, dings on the side tables, no light in the makeup mirror, etc). Worked with us even though we needed to arrive quite late. Cash discount, and staff bent over backwards to help us get the cash discount even though we arrived late. Fresh pastries from a local bakery in the continental breakfast. Had to drive around on the highways to find the hotel. The other two hotels on the lot had sufficient signage; the Belvedere did not. The hallways and our room were worn, dingy and dirty. They would also have been smelly, but thankfully, there were room fresheners everywhere. Very limited continental breakfast, and terrible coffee.

The hotel is definitely dated. But the bed was comfortable. The shower in the room with the soaking tub was very small. I'm not sure I'd chance the results of using a hotel soaking tub. Maybe I grew up too close to the Pocono's and their heart shaped tubs and beds. Breakfast provided was bagel, apples, bananas, and coffee - no hot food. Not that I usually partake but if you stayed here because of price and an included breakfast you would be disappointed. I'm beginning to prefer the idea of the new hardwood or laminate floors in the rooms instead of carpeting which I'm sure if very old. Water stains on the ceiling above the tub. Only the major TV stations, NBC, ABC, etc. No cable. Free Wi-Fi was very slow.

Parking was easy. My mother made these reservations for me, and I expected that I could check in with no problems. However, without my mother's credit card (she thought she had prepaid, and she was at a conference), I could not check in. I wasn't able to check in until after 1 AM, when my father brought the original credit card to the hotel. Didn't get a whole lot of sleep the first night. I was supposed to join my mother at the conference. Because she was a participant in the conference, she had her cell phone turned off and I couldn't reach her.

    - Checking in and out is very easy. - The staff is really nice, from the reception clerk to the maid. - The breakfast buffet - bagels, muffins, donuts, yogurt, cold cereal, oatmeal, waffles - is convenient, tasty, and restocked quickly. - It's great to be able to get coffee and tea any time of day in the lobby. - The beds are VERY comfortable. - The maid service is awesome. This is the first time that asking for extra towels actually resulted in actually sufficient towels. - All the room's amenities worked, including the fridge and microwave, & the hotel is close to multiple grocery stores, Walmarts and restaurants, so you can bring food in and live affordably. - The air conditioning was very good. - Overall, I felt very welcome here. Could-be-better: - In-room entertainment is lacking. The TV is basic cable - nothing streaming, not even a TV guide channel. - The Wi-Fi was spotty - not entirely their fault, since a storm knocked everything out, but also not strong enough to reliably stream a movie on my laptop. I had to use my phone as a remote hotspot. - The physical plant needs a little love. There's a gash on the base of the wall opposite the elevator on the 2nd floor. Places had chipped paint, and we had to leave one lamp plugged in because it had no on/off switch. - A second chair in the room would be nice. We had a pleasant stay, but investing in a few renovations and better in-room entertainment would easily add another star to this review.

Description says housekeeping daily, but we never had service the four days we were there. Bathrooms were dirty, tub, shower curtain, and spider webs. (see pictures) Breakfast was minimal. Waffle maker was broken three out of the four days we were there. The other two days they were empty at 8:30 with no refills. The staff did come out and clean it and close it down. The other offerings were yogurt, two types of cereals, bananas and apples on two days, and bagels, with very little put out and most gone by 8:30, Staff told me that the only thing they were required to refill were the bagels. The only bagels left on one day at 8:30 were onion flavor. I was told there were pastries earlier, but she was not refilling them. We knew that it was continental and didn't expect much, but we did expect what they offered from 7 - 10, to not be finished by 8:30 with no refills. When at the desk, you had to speak first, because they were often unaware you were standing there because they were on their phones. Truly a disappointment, because we loved our visits to the places we visited in Schenectady.

Nice property for the price. Comfortable room and bed. We were in a non smoking room and it smelled like someone had smoked in there at some point. Breakfast only had yogurt as a protein option. Overall, a good stay. Would stay here again.

When we got to the hotel and checked in everything seemed good. We checked our room to make sure it was clean and it was. We didnt unload iur stuff immediately as we had to get back on the road to get to our concert. When we got back after 1 am we couldn't get into the room they assigned us. No problem we went down she gave us a new card and those done work either. We go up and down the floors multiple times to relize they either gave our room away to someone else. We asked to leave and get a refund and were told no and given a differnt room after another mix up with the other people and the room cards.

I didn't actually stay at this hotel so this review is based on my brief experience. I decided not to stay here after noticing only one car in the parking lot and what looked like a homeless family playing in the parking lot. The area surrounding the hotel looked run down and didn't seem to be in a good area of town. I didn't feel reassured when I was greeted by reception behind a shield of plastic. My first clue should have been the cheap price. You get what you pay for. I can't speak for the room condition as I left and stayed elsewhere.

Hotel was reasonable for price. Air freshners every where..including elevator. Somewhat musty and none of the outlets worked in the bathroom, wall mounted hair dryer didnt work, and lamp was broken. Was very quiet and beds were comfy. Only stayed one night as we went to a show at Proctors.

The room was adequate. It satisfied our needs for the one night we stayed there. The bed was comfortable. The pillows were great. However it’s an older facility. Because of that many aspects of the hotel are showing their age. But overall the place was clean enough. Everything in the room worked—TV, shower, WiFi, fridge, iron, ironing board, etc. it’s a budget hotel at a budget price with budget amenities. The free breakfast is enough to get one started for the day — coffee, juice, milk, some pastries, cold cereal, instant oatmeal, some fruit, yogurt, bagels. There was a waffle maker but the batter dispenser was empty. No eggs of any kind. No breakfast meat. Overall, it was good enough for a quick snooze to break up a long drive.

Great value for the price. As it was low season, we got a room upgrade to a suite, and it was fabulous. The tub had jets, so I basically had a private hot tub experience. There was a sofa and tv, king size bed, and lamps with plugs and usb ports. I did have to clip the blackout curtains closed, though.

Older hotel. We received a complementary upgraded room to a suite with a jetted tub. We were excited, husband and I traveling with our 2 1/2 yr old. Stay for 1 night. Booked close to DEC office where my husband took an Exam next morning. Front desk was great. Breakfast cold-cereal, pastry and bagels. Coffee not great. Bathroom was gross pics below. Bedroom tv didn’t work. Jetted tub had a non working jet. Bathroom tiles were black. Ceiling paint above shower is cracked hanging and peeling. Jetted tub was full of hair. I cleaned it before we used it. Could have been a better stay. Won’t stay again

After things were straigthened out, w arrived only to have the room freezing. It would have been nice to have a decent temp in the room especially knowing we were going to arrive late. Had to sleep with with our sweaters, and sweatshirts etc to be warm. Both heaters were blowing some cold air with little warm air. Took all night to warm the rooms. Time to leave then.

We have stayed a couple times in the past so we decided to stay again for our yearly trip. Check in was great. Staff was friendly. Location is right where we needed to be. We go to our room and the condition of the room was not the same as in the past. The bed was horribly uncomfortable and created bad sleeping. The "continental breakfast" was far from edible. Only thing good was the coffee. My cream cheese had mold in it, and the bagels tasted funny. We ended up eating elsewhere. For the price, I guess you get what you pay for, but next year we'll be staying elsewhere.

I didn't like that there was a coffee or blood stain on the sheets by the pillows of which I took a picture of. When I went to the front desk to complain, there was no one there. Then on Saturday 1/4/25 around 12:45pm, my keycard wouldn't open my door and I was locked out of my room. I went to the front desk and again, no one there and I rang the Ring doorbell and had to wait out in the lobby for about 20-30 minutes before someone finally came to the desk. She redid my card and told me to keep it away from my cellphone and bankcard, I told her it was in my coat pocket all by itself and no where's near anything. The breakfast consisted of either danish or bagels, the waffle machine was not set up either morning. Coffee is supposed to be available 24 hours a day, which it was, but Sunday morning 1/5/25, just before the clerk arrived for work, I went to get coffee and there was no sugar, so I looked in a couple of cupboards and the front desk clerk came in and told me I am not allowed to go in the cupboard like I was some child...I told her that if there was enough sugar put out the night before, I would not have to be doing there job...But after sounding so negative above, I will say the beds were very comfortable and the nights were very quiet. One more thing, the tv came in all fuzzy and the cable channels would not come in, the screen was all green on those channels. Also the lady that checked us in on Friday 1/3/25 was very nice and helped us with a smooth check in.

Not Good - freaking room was COLD. Got to room and it was 58. I guess they didn’t think to turn on the heat in prep for guests!! 3rd day tile floor in bathroom still freezing!! Didn’t salt icy sidewalks, TV, shower. I mean there was a long busted peg sticking out of the wall for the TP. Kept falling and rolling behind toilet. Really?? Shout out to the woman who was cleaning the rooms among other things. Very nice and personable!! Have to find new place. Sorry for long review!
