I personally thought the room smelled... I guess had a weird smell to it. I first thought urine? My son said no. Especially in the restroom. Paint maybe? IDK. I just didn't like it.

Staff were great. Hotel was very clean and plenty of nice space to walk with dog. The bad is the locks. I will never stay here again just for that. I had to swipe atleast 10 times for door to open if it even did. Most times I had to walk to lobby to get new key. the worse part is that it is 100 degrees outsdide and I have a 100 lb dog. Twice I got stuck outside with her in the heat and had to frantically pound on door until a guest that could hear me let us in. I was really worried and stressed the one time. The front desk person was very nice and I can tell she has to deal with complaints all the time. but this is more than an inconvenience. It is a safety hazard and my dog could have had a heat stroke and died. I stayed at La Quinta before and like it for your pet friendliness and cleanliness. But after this stay I will look elsewhere.

Had a good stay for two nights. We did have issues with the key card and needed to get them updated twice. The bed was very good. The AC unit was rather loud. Breakfast was okay.

The staff was extremely friendly, professional, and accommodating. We were in need of a last minute hotel close to the hospital. It is in walking distance of not just the hospital, but stores and restaurants. The complimentary breakfast was a bonus.

Someone put a rock under the door so it stayed open .Not secure..the hall carpet needed vacuuming..ice machine was leaking water - was loud.. Small things that could be fixed.. the location and parking was good I rented 2 rooms, one for my daughter & husband, and one for myself & husband. The one for myself & spouse had problems: A/C would only operate quietly with settings of 68 or less. If above, the fan would be very noisey, sometimes squealing, waking us up at night. The fan in the bathroom (comes on when you turn the light on) was noisy; needed cleaning or replacing. We discovered the refrigerator temperature was the maximum, resulting in freezing & making our water bottles useless the next day. We were able to turn the temp. down after getting down on our hands & knees to find the frig thermostat. We were told there were no other rooms available to relocate to..

The only complaint I have is the side entrances of the building does not work! I re-keyed my room key 3 times and it still did not work! Then I found out through the staff that it has been like that for years. Sometimes it will work and sometimes not. Save yourself the frustration and park in the front and enter through the front door only! I was so pleased with the hotel and staff that one thing did not bother me. I would definitely stay there again and have already recommended the hotel to a family member!

Pool water looks dirty I didn’t use it. Key cards at outer doors and rooms are in terrible working order. I mentioned the inconvenience and counter staff laughed about it. Stayed 3 nights but won’t stay here or another Pet friendly hotel.

Our biggest frustration was with the keys. Frequently they did not work on the outside door. We had to put a stone in the door whenever we took our pups out. We got a new key that didn’t work any better.

Location was perfect for my medical appointment. However, you must fix the outside Key Entry. We must have tried 6-8 times, before one of the guest let us in. We reported it to the front desk, they stated that they will have someone look at it. Just EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING, when you’re trying to get inside to your room.

The room wasn’t cleaned very well we believe there was still hair in the shower from the people before and some spots on the table. Other than that the property was great.

None - and I mean - none of the outdoor card readers work. It was beyond frustrating to walk your dog and get locked out every time. The staff is nice and the rooms are just ok. You get what you pay for in Scottsdale at this price. Maybe fine for one night but not a long stay.

Very disappointed with my stay. I specifically requested an ADA accessible room due to my disability, but did not receive one. Because of this, I was unable to safely take a shower due to the tub setup, and even the TV was frustrating because the volume appeared to be controlled and could not be adjusted properly. To make matters worse, I was placed on the 3rd floor. The first room had fleas, so I had to be moved. The second room was covered in dog hair, and I spent the entire night wheezing and struggling to breathe. I also parked in the handicap parking area, but the nearby entrance key door was broken and would not work. I was forced to walk around to the opposite side of the building just to enter, which was extremely difficult given my disability. No mgr on duty but acting person in charge stated the Manager Kim was off for weekend,also stated that I would receive a refund and a callback, but I never heard back from anyone. Overall, this was a very stressful and uncomfortable experience, and unfortunately I cannot recommend staying here.

The hotel was nice enough and the front desk staff was very kind and welcoming. The lobby was very clean and inviting. The room was clean but the carpet seems dirty with spots that needed to be cleaned. Some areas looked like liquid had been spilled. The bathroom door was peeling at the bottom and the bathroom was only spot cleaned and needed a deeper clean upon closer inspection.

Nick checked us in and we asked for a 3rd floor room, convenient parking and a couple additional items to make our stay nice. Nick listened and was attentive to every item. Wow, what a great room he found for us! We especially loved this room because it had a separate bedroom with doors, away from the hallway and bathroom that allowed me to get up early, have coffee, take a shower and my wife could sleep in late, in a quiet , dark bedroom! The exercise room was clean and had great, quality exercise equipment. The handicapped, and regular parking were plentiful and there were multiple entries that our room key-card worked. Thank you for a great stay!

The bad I slept in was one of the worst I’ve ever been in. Literally it sunk in the middle and I was awake all night. I guess I’ll have to rethink about staying at La Quinta, which I have been staying at for several decades. Too bad.

The elevator we used frequently was dirty and run down.A dog pooped in the elevator and it was not cleaned. We ended up having to clean it up ourselves. The doggie bags were not available at some of the potty sites.

I had to book this room because it was close to my Surgery and we could bring our dog. Perfect !

The breakfast was good, with a variety of foods available. However, I did encounter a problem with my room key; it worked intermittently, so I had to swipe it a few times. On the second day of our stay, the staff did not clean the room, which was disappointing. I didn’t mention anything because we returned to our room late in the evening, and it didn’t seem to be much point in making a fuss since we were leaving the next day anyway.

The toilet in our room was ridiculously low. An older person would not be able to use it. Also our carpet had red stains with, what we were told, was hair color when we complained. We were told that we would get a discount. Let's hope this will actually happen. We did not have any problems parking the car.

The room was clean. The hallway didn't look like it had been vacuumed in a while. The front desk clerk was friendly and informed me if the free breakfast. The hotel was pleasant. There was a major issue with teenagers staying in a room across from me, who were kicking people's doors and running off laughing. Screaming, yelling, etc. They kicked my door twice. I called the front desk, the responded immediately and took control of the situation. It was extremely stressful.

Check in was quick & easy, associate was friendly and I was able to get into room early. Spacious, clean room with mini fridge & microwave which is a plus. Breakfast is basic fare, waffles, cereal, yogurt, eggs, sausage, bagels, muffins etc. and was well stocked. Ample free parking. Only negative was that I had issues twice with keys not working and had to go back down to front desk for new ones which was a bit inconvenient. Was told “they have a problem” with the keys which didn’t make sense as I had stayed there two weeks prior and had no issues. Also, the associate, said the room number out loud, whilst other people were around- which is something that never should happen. I think perhaps he was new and probably didn’t have enough experience (he was very polite though). Great location, near shopping, restaurants etc. Would definitely stay again.

The breakfast was delicious and served from 7-10am. Nice hours! Parking was plentiful and safe. the grounds were beautiful and very well kept. Room was clean and comfortable. Highly recommend this motel.

The keys to the building entrance and to the rooms don’t work properly. I had to replace my key five or six times in five days. All the guests had that problem and kept prepping the entrance doors with rocks. Ridiculous. The hotel has unreliable lock system.

I was traveling alone with my son and it felt safe and comfortable. The staff was nice and the rooms were clean. It was quiet and close to a lot of attractions we wanted to see.

We found this property to be in good shape, clean, very satisfactory in general. The carpets appeared to be in good shape. The linens we on point. The furniture was in good condition, and overall this was a nice location. While limited, the breakfast was good, we were disappointed in the daily selection, but overall it did the job.

My husband wanted orange juice and they didn’t any. They only had one elevator working so you had a long walk down the hall. The parking was good. I stayed because it is close to the Dr. At Honor health. We stayed 2 nights.

The hotel is conveniently located near the highway in North Scottsdale. There are restaurants and grocery shopping (Fry's) nearby. The room was clean and comfortable, We had some minor issues withe the key card not working and the stiff door lock, but this was rectified by front desk. Housekeeping is available every three days. This is clearly stated in the notice in the room. Other hotels have the same policy, BUT other hotels may not post this notice anywhere. There was only one elevator working when we were there. This is parking included on the property and there is gas station and Chick Fil A next to the hotel which is convenient. Breakfast is included with simple options. Front desk staff courteous and helpful, with shout out to Chantelle.

The bedroom curtains were dusty, the shower had no curtain, the bathtub was wabbley for some reason. Also there was no lock to the bathroom.

Room keys did not work had to change 7x’. They don’t change towels daily. Room was not cleaned Saturday while we were out all day. Sprinklers were on at 8 am in pet grass area. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was delicious!

Then I inquired if the Jacuzzi would get warmer and I was told that there’s a part broken so it’s not getting warm. So I was disappointed in amenities but room was great. If I knew of jacuzzi not working ahead of time I would have stayed somewhere else.

Staff were phenomenal. First room they gave us, sheets were stained and had short curly hairs in the bed. Second room, had a strong odor of mildew but the beds were clean. Opened the window and aired it out, it was tolerable. The cherry on top was the 5 under cover officers chasing someone through the parking lot at 11 PM with weapons drawn. Didn’t expect that in Scottsdale.

Everything was clean. But besides the charge for the initial room from Expedia there was a $180.00 charge that I didn’t know when booking. Probably would not have booked if that had been disclosed at the beginning.

My biggest issue is that after check out & driving back home in Texas I saw that we were charged DOUBLE than what we were supposed to. When we called we were told that was a mistake, but were never given any explanation as to how it happened. The money charged over was meant to pay another bill, which is now late due to their mistake. We've stayed at this hotel before, but we never will again.

Wow. This was absolutely the most perfect spot for us. It was so easy and clean and quiet. The bed and pillows were great too. We slept so good.

The troubling issue is the VERY OLD Card system that is used. We went through 10 cards to get in our room. My husband went down to get new card there were at least 5 people needed to have new ones. The poor front desk people said they were sorry but it was all in management’s hands. Truly a wonderful place to stay but this really dampens the stay of our Christmas Vacation. Please fix this problem so your staff is not embarrassed!

Room smelled horrid. Just had nasal surgery and couldn't be smelling that all night. Front desk was more than helpful. 3 minutes to get a different room.

However, the door locks at the property didn’t work. This is a basic requirement for a hotel. Safety is that most important requirement for a hotel. I wouldn’t stay again for this reason.

Everything was great. Was worried about proximity to freeway and potential noise but it was extremely quiet. Front desk was friendly and helpful.

Bed and pillows were comfortable. Staff were nice. Coffee was undrinkable. A shelf in the fridge was in backwards which kept the door from sealing until corrected, but functioned aggressively well afterwards (froze my leftovers).

Breakfast could’ve been better with scrambled eggs to go with the sausage. And some regular yogurt that’s not the non fat junk.

Room was clean and bed comfortable. Appreciated a hot breakfast with enough space to accommodate a large crowd. It was frustrating to need our room key to reset several times. The safety rail in the elevator was not secured and ready to fall off. Still, the staff was nice and our stay was pleasant enough.

There were hairs in the sink and tub. The soap holder in the tub was only attached by the top line of caulking. The grab bars in the elevator were broken. The night staff did nothing to stop the people on the same floor as me from yelling in the hall and slamming doors till 1:30 in the morning. Over all a bad experience i would never recommend nor return.

The staff was so welcoming when I arrived and provided me with all the information needed in a very linear format, i.e. organized. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Breakfast was very good and got me off to a great day!

Really enjoyed the hotel overall; nice breakfast, clean, centrally located, pleasant and efficient staff. One exception though, the problems we had using the room key cards at our room door, and at every outside door from the parking lot would definitely prevent me from staying here again. Spending five minutes or more to get in, and needing to have our key cards reset at least daily for the duration of our stay, is extremely frustrating, inconvenient and unfortunate. If the hotel chooses not to address this issue I can promise you that we would not stay here again.

The grounds some areas inside the hotel were not that well taken care of. Overflowing garbage outside, a sticky spill in the stairwell. I had a nice stay but not a 5* stay.

The front desk person was great and the staff were kind and helpful. The property itself was a bit run down with hand rails missing or falling off in the elevator and small pieces of paper were on the floor of the room we stayed in that would have been very easy for the cleaner to see before our arrival. Made me quite sure that the room was not cleaned fully. There was also a hair right in the middle of the bath tub that indicated the room was not cleaned well before our use.

Staff very friendly! Great location. Our room lock malfunctioned multiple times per day, everyday of our 5 night stay. on one occasions, two of the housekeepers use their keys and could not get into the room and had to have their keys reset as well. I explained this to one of the front desk workers and he told me it was because I had my key card too close to my phone wouldn’t listen that there was something malfunctioning with the door. Room was very dark not enough light to adequately light the room.

Honestly one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at, and such a great price!! The staff was AMAZING. The property is clean and safe. I did see reviews that the rooms are “dated” and sure maybe they are a bit but nothing felt dirty or anything. Beds were comfy, rooms were big. I think my only complaint is that the toilet paper roll was in a bit of a weird place and the key cards were not great, we had to get them replaced twice but the staff were quick to do so. The garden area where the pool is is absolutely beautiful! Breakfast was good. Coffee was good and they kept extra pods in the lobby you can take up to your room. If we ever end up in Phoenix again we will definitely stay here!

One of my pillows had blood stains, to it to the front desk to change it. I had to go 2 time to the front desk to fix my keycards they wouldn’t really work.

The property just needs some maintenance. Looks like a lot of things have been neglected. Card readers didn’t work half of the time. Had to get new cards twice.

Room was spotless, a/c worked well, amenities were as expected. Great front desk crew.

The room was clean. A little noisy during certain times due to outside noise from a car wash nearby, and trucks. Breakfast service was 7am to 10am which was nice to be able to eat a little later than the usual breakfast hrs at hotels. Coffee was great. My stay was a whole week so I would have enjoyed a little more variety in what was offered. More fruit choices, for one, only apples offered. It was scrambled eggs and sausage patties every day. The staff were all very friendly. I was super bummed that the pool was being worked on the whole week so I wasn’t able to use it. I had specifically looked for a hotel with a pool. I wasn’t made aware of the fact it wouldn't be available. But overall, I had a good stay.

The room was clean and spacious. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub while we were there. Chick-fil-A being so close was a huge bonus.

FLEAS in my room, ate me alive!!!. Room was supposed to be cleaned every 3 days. I asked 3 times for my room to be vacuumed and sprayed, i was being eaten alive by FLEAS, I also told them it was day 4 my room was not CLEANED-the clerk was too interested in the basketball game to help me. he has the nerve to say "you still want your room cleaned at this point"?, no new linen, no towels, limit toilet paper, kleenex is out. Day 5 down again, the look on the clerks face when i told him my room has never been cleaned, Im down everyday for towels. i asked for sheets, i'd change them myself but never got them. the same breakfast everyday. i filed a complaint online. Asked for my money back, i got hey we're sorry- im mean God forbid you acknowledge what i said , give me points ill never use!!!!! Since they wont refund my money, ill be posting the pictures of my FLEA bites all over my legs, the linen piled up and unmade bed for 5 of my 7 days. yea they cleaned the room day 6-why bother.

The comforter had red and brown large stains all over it. We told the front desk and asked for a replacement comforter. The replacement had a ton of large stains too. The front desk didn't seem concerned. We were so grossed out we bought sleeping bags to put on top of the bed so we didn't have to touch the bed. This made us distrust how clean the rest of the room was and we couldn't sleep. The shower was an old bath tub

Room was clean enough but guests left towels and food in the hallway not picked up by staff. Parking is very plentiful. Door accesss didn’t always work with our key card so sometimes had to try more than once or twice.

The room AC worked but the thermostat on the wall didn't seem to cool to Temp set until I went to the window unit and set that thermostat to the same temperature. There was absolutely no AC in the hallways, lobby or breakfast area. The elevator was extremely hot and there was no ventilation fan.

Overall a wonderful stay in Scottsdale! Convenient location, nice cold pool and very helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast did the trick, nothing special to note. Our room was great except it looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed between cleans and one of the beds smelt strongly of perfume. Don’t let that discourage you, we enjoyed our stay and would visit again!

I stayed for a week with my daughter here and was very pleased with everything. The staff were very friendly. Location was great and central in Scottsdale. The room was spacious with a fridge and microwave. It is in a very safe area and plenty of free parking. Overall, very good value for the money and I would highly recommend!!

My experience at La Quinta Inn in Scottsdale AZ was great! I had no complaints-the service was great, everyone who worked there were kind and helpful. The rooms were clean and the overall environment was safe; this was my biggest concern during my search for a hotel as a solo traveler. You need healthy food. You have absolutely nothing that we can eat in the morning that is healthy besides an apple and green tea. You can add avocado, real Greek yogurt or Greek yogurt that is dairy free, healthy raw nuts/ seeds, gluten-free grains like quinoa

The bathroom was disgusting. There was what looked like fecal matter on the door jam. There was hair and dust bunnies on the top of the toilet. The toilet seat was loose. The sink didnt drain well. There were 2 ants on the stand where the coffee was. The waffle machines weren't functioning properly.

The only reason I rated it an 4 instead of 5 is because 1. There was a towel left in the room from the previous guest. 2. There was calcium buildup on the showerhead which caused some holes not to be working.

I always try to stay here when in the Scottsdale area. The hotel is clean and modernized. The only issue I have ever had is keys repeatedly not working but the staff is quick to address this.

The keys card's was very difficult to use. The door entering the building is heavy and hard to get into if you're by yourself with a bag. The water at the sink was very stinky.

I am very disappointed that my room was not cleaned from one day to the next. I left in the morning and came back each night with the same pile of soiled towels on the floor along with an unmade bed. I will never stay here nor recommend this brand.

We stayed for a week waiting to get into our new home, and we couldn't be more pleased. The front desk personnel are super friendly and helpful, especially Nick, the overnight staff member at the front desk. The breakfast options could use some improvements. What they MUST improve is their key system! As I mentioned, we stayed for a week, and we needed to change keys constantly. We kept the keys separate from our cell phones and stored them in the envelopes provided to us. No matter what we did, we had to change our keys because they stopped working constantly. I highly recommend this hotel for your stay in the area but be aware of the key issues, as I can guarantee you will encounter problems with it.

The property and decor were in need of some updating. What was there was in nice order and very clean.

The check-in process was very easy and pleasant, as was checking out. Breakfast was mediocre but did the job. My only complaint was the room/suite, hallways, etc...all felt somewhat outdated. My suite looked like the television show Three's Company, with a 70's vibe to the carpet and furniture. Everything else was fine.

I needed a quick, inexpensive stay one night... and I was SO impressed! The room was perfect. Clean. Comfortable bed and pillows. I was honestly pleasantly surprised and would absolutely recommend this location! Also, note that it is an excellent location right off the freeway in Scottsdale.
