Reviews
Guests have mixed feelings about their stay at this hotel. While some appreciate the cleanliness, comfortable beds, and friendly staff, others express dissatisfaction with hidden fees, maintenance issues, and inconsistent service.
- Cleanliness and comfortable beds
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Hidden fees, particularly for parking
- Maintenance issues and lack of cleanliness in some rooms
- 5/5
Easy check in process. Easily changed our room to make it easier to take our dog out. Spacious room with everything we needed. Clean room in general. Only quips were that the bathroom door did not latch so it could not be locked for privacy and lighted mirror had a couple of strobing bulbs. Pool had plenty of inflatables and toys for the kids. Would stay again easily
- 5/5
Very clean, super friendly and helpful staff
- 4/5
I accidentally left my brick for my charger for my iPhone at a previous appt. and asked the front desk if I could borrow one they said they didn't have any bricks or chargers but offered no options. Apparently, the outlet in my room on the office side had the ability to have my charger directly into it. I ran around trying to figure out how to remedy this and bought one at the AT&T store which they did not direct me to. Came back and realized I didn't need to do any of that. I could have just used the jack in the room.

Traveled with family! Location was great! Room space & everything about the room was amazing! Close to a lot of things. Amenities amazing!
- 5/5
The Staff was helpful and great! All the way around from front desk to the chefs with the breakfast.
- 5/5
The breakfast time is too early and I couldn’t take it
- 3/5
Lighting in room was dim. AC pushed out musty smell. Other than that property in a good location, breakfast options were food and area was kept very clean.

Friendly staff, very helpful, knowledgeable about area. Room quiet, clean, spacious. Breakfast was outstanding with many selections
- 3/5
The beds were like marshmallows, too soft for comfortable night sleep. Pool was closed for renovation, and I was never advised of that. Also, I was not advised that parking was not free very disappointed in hotel and accommodations.
- 3/5
Some minor things did add up to a lot, like the huge gap under to door that let in a ton of light, the a/c was very loud, sounded like a car with a barely functioning engine. Trash truck came at 4 am right outside our window and then landscapers were right outside it at 7. We had an accessible shower for one of our party, and you had to be so careful not to turn the shower head anywhere but the back wall or it would flood the bathroom. And then a cockroach decided to camp out and die in the bathroom in the middle of the night. The manager did work with me to compensate for the unplanned member of our party though. There are QR codes all over to pay for your parking but apparently you need to have the front desk give you a validation code and it charges it to your folio amd not straight to your card and saves you fees, so make sure you ask them anout that before you pay for parking. We like SpringHill Suites for a lot of reasons and this one was below the standard we are used to but not bad.
- 5/5
A very nice location. Always stay here every time we are in the area. Will not stay anywhere else.Staff is always friendly and breakfast is awesome!
- 4/5
It was alright. Housekeeping comes every other day, but when they come, they dont clean. They just make the beds.
- 5/5
The people at the front desk were extremely polite, welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was top notch, the room was clean and it was very quiet so we had no trouble sleeping. Excellent stay
- 5/5
Very good close to everything where I want

Clean room but carpet coming apart, hall carpet needs cleaning, needs some updating, beautiful location and grounds, quiet
- 5/5
Shower condition moldy. Dark bathroom. Could not turn off air conditioner!
- 3/5
Needs some renovating and TLC

Room was spacious but worn out
- 4/5
Everything was great. Just the apace in the suit was too little for 5 people. I also dislike paying additional for parking. So not a Hotel to stay again.
- 5/5
Great day as always
- 5/5
Nice, large, open dinning area for breakfast. Relaxing outdoor pool area.

There 2 wks for a horse show with my medical alert dog. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Room was clean. Staff was great and location was great. My only compaint is the room I was in had the sofa pretty much in the entry way/hall of the room facing a blank wall. I mostly used it for a place to put my day pack, coat etc. My other complaint is there was no counter space for food items. I hate eating in restaurants all the time and bring food in to microwave; eat cereal and fruit in my room etc. No place to put anything, or to use a blender or crock pot, and only a small bathroom sink to wash dishes; so I wish their "suites" were true suites with a small kitchen area, or at least some counter space. Placement of sofa was weird and there was a need for counter space

But again, the staff is very friendly. And you’re not staying at SpringHill for the luxury aesthetic
- 5/5
Great staff and cleanliness. Close to WMO and reasonably priced.
- 4/5
Too dim in the room. Needs overhead light.
- 5/5
Everything was very nice and comfortable The lady that checked us in really wasn't smiling or seemed happy

Great customer service iver the phone and in person. Very nice and clean hotel. Breakfast exceeded expectations.
- 4/5
Room was good, staff was good, but the breakfast was not very good. The "hot" food was awful, so we stuck with the normal continental stuff, which was ok.
- 3/5
Staff were friendly. Room maintenance was very poor. Only refreshed towels and bed every second day. Was disappointing on lack of clean room during our 6 day stay.
- 4/5
Very nice, spacious room with minimalist decor. All staff communicated with during our multi-day stay (registration desk) were very pleasant & helpful! Choice of housekeeping days a plus. Only reason for 4 rating was lighting over bathroom mirror was not bright or conducive for females applying makeup. Thank you!
- 5/5
Room was clean floor staff was awesome

During my second day at the hotel, which was Christmas Eve, I returned at 10:30pm. The man working the front desk didn’t have a cordial greeting. He hostilely asked if I signed a pet contract, my room # and things spiraled from there.
- 5/5
great comfortable room in scottsdale. My go to hotel for scottsdale.
- 5/5
Perfect place to stay. We felt safe, and the staff provided excellent, top-tier customer service.
- 3/5
staff needs a little more training.
- 1/5
Room needed to be sanitized much better
- 4/5
We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff were all very helpful, kind and fun! The room was comfortable and cozy. The only thing we didn’t care for was the overwhelming smell of the cleaner when you walk in the front door. It knocked us over every time we came in. It’s good to be clean but that smell reminds me of cheaper hotels that are trying too hard.
- 4/5
Darius was fabulous, friendly and helpful
- 5/5
The property was clean, convenient to shopping, restaurants and highways, and dog friendly. Would stay here again!
- 4/5
Hot tub was dirty and not hot
- 3/5
I likely won’t return to this property. There wasn’t nearly enough lighting in the room - it was very dark and fluorescent.I turned on the heater and it filled the room with a burning hair smell that took forever to subside. I chose to be cold over the burning hair smell. The shower leaked, covering the floor in water. If I had been staying more than two days, I would’ve asked for another room. They put a $50 charge on your card per day for incidentals, even if you don’t plan on buying anything. The charges can take up to seven days to be removed. There is also a nightly fee to park your car in the large, open, semi-empty parking lot.
- 5/5
The room was clean & soacious.
- 5/5
Staff were very accommodating and friendly. They offered to check me in 4.5 hours early. The hotel’s key system was down, so they upgraded me and a female employee offered to walk me to my room. Room felt clean. Location was close to restaurants, shops, grocery stores. I’d stay here again.
- 5/5
Breakfast was great, staff was nice, and neighbors were quiet
- 4.5/5
The first floor is for persons accompanied by animals. This was not told to us when I requested a walk in shower. It smelled like wet dog.

Staff is great, breakfast is really good!
- 5/5
Love their breakfast. Its always quiet. We have stayed 4 nights at different times. Iwishthey haddisxounted rates theough expedia, not just marriott
- 3/5
Room was nice enough but smelled suspiciously of cigarettes and we saw what looked like 2 burn marks in the carpet. When we first arrived the woman who checked us in was on her phone, didn't greet or anything, just said "hang on" and then asked "name?". I don't need staff to kiss my a** but the rooms are expensive enough, a little customer curtesy isn't much to ask for. Breakfast wasn't good, undercooked. And had to ask them to turn on the lights by the pool after dark. Probably will not stay there again.

Very nice room. No complaints
- 5/5
Front desk staff was fantastic and very professional.
- 4/5
We liked the room it was spacious....our refridgerator was in need of a tune up or replacement. The air smelled like chlorine in the hall but we didnt mind. Brrakfast was good and the staff was very friendly. We will stay again.
- 2/5
We really like SpringHill Suites. They offer the space we need and are always clean. The staff was not friendly with the exception of Holly(?) at breakfast one morning. She was very welcoming and kind. She was the exception. The person who checked us in was complaining to someone else about how busy the hotel was, and it just set the tone. Then at our first breakfast, another guest told us that Mara (?) was very rude to our daughter while she sat at the counter to eat breakfast. When I approached Mara, she immediately was extremely defensive and argumentative. If she reacted this way to me, I can only imagine how she treated a child. Then, as we checked out, we simply were asked for the room number and were not told goodbye, how was your stay, thank you for visiting, nothing. No one made us feel welcome. It certainly was not the quality of service we are used to with this chain.
- 5/5
Second time at this property and the only thing I don’t like is the parking is not including in the stay at the hotel.
- 5/5

AFFORDABILITY
- 5/5
Very clean rooms , staff is friendly an sweet , there continental breakfasts was great as well would stay again .
- 5/5
The staff were very friendly and attentive. My daughter had surgery and they were genuinely concerned for her wellbeing.
- 5/5
The hotel staff is incredibly helpful and accommodating. This was our second stay in the past month and I would recommend it to anyone. The property is close to Mayo Clinic making the drive easy and convenient.
- 4/5
It was off to a rocky start, we were put in a room with bad ac, woke up from a nap and it was 82* in our room. Front desk and maintenance switched our rooms immediately and it was a great stay after that. New room had adequate AC for the heatwave in Arizona in August. Clean room, nice housekeepers, most of the front desk was very accommodating. Clean pool and hot tub. Breakfast was ok. Would’ve been better if they had options individually packaged, so it’s not a communal dining experience for germaphobes like me. I would stay again.
- 5/5
And having a craft room setup for the kids to keep them busy
- 5/5
Nice location! We enjoyed our stay with swimming in the evening hours. Loved the bed was so comfortable and clean. I can’t say I didn’t like anything about the property or my stay I loved it
- 5/5
The pool was excellent, especially in the 112 degree temps while we were there. Good range of depth of water for easy use. An added 18” to 24” area for toddlers would have been beneficial. Different seating areas comfortable option.
- 5/5
I the hotel is great and the breakfast was great. I had one problem it was that as a guest I had to pay for parking, and that was not in the amount for the room and it should be, that is not enough for me to mark it down on my score but a disappointment on not letting me know until after I got the room.
- 5/5
My husband went and he said everything was fantastic. He said next time we go, that's the place we're staying at.
- 5/5
We always stay here when visiting the Mayo Clinics in both Scottsdale & Phx. The breakfast is always hot & fresh, Holly does a great job every morning! Front desk, always accommodating and available. Pool & hot tub are a nice option. Sister property right behind has a great bar/bartender & TVs to watch a game. Only draw is $11 a nite for parking, but I guess that's just the way of the hotel world now. Someone else has to make money too.
- 5/5
did not understand the $11.00 aday parking fee.
- 5/5
Nice.
- 5/5
It is continently located. We felt safe and the staff was great! Would return in the future.
- 2/5
Had to wait for service on a couple occasions. Parking is paid??!! Why this is not a downtown hotel—it’s basically in a strip mall. Accommodations are ok but not really comfortable. Couch was weird. Desk/chair not very comfortable. Outlets especially by bed are not convenient. I would probably not stay here again.
- 5/5
Great Staff
- 4.5/5
The staff was polite. Everything was kept clean. NA
- 5/5
Breakfast and pool being open at 11pm
- 5/5
Great stay! Also, Holly went above and beyond in her breakfast setup and service, what a great employee!!
- 4/5
Everything ok except that you guys charge for parking and it should be included with the room..
- 3.5/5
The room configuration was very odd. TV ar a distant angle from the bed. Dark/poor lighting. Tiny vanity sink.
- 5/5
Great service!
- 5/5
Staff was exceptionally kind, friendly and helpful. Not just one person but all that we encountered.
- 4/5
We loved our accommodations, the only downside were the pillows...they were too soft, but that is a matter of preference I suppose. Otherwise, check in was quick and easy, very friendly staff. Beakfast had a good selection of eggs (2 different cooking styles), sausage, bagels, english muffins, cereals and juices & coffee/tea. We would stay here again.
- 4/5
It is convenient to Mayo Clinic where my wife was staying
- 5/5
The cleanliness of the room and rest of the property really stood out. Friendly front desk staff was great too. Definitely recommend.
- 5/5
The only draw back is you have to pay for parking here. However, breakfast and a cozy place trumps the drawback of the parking situation in my opinion.
- 5/5
We had a great stay
- 5/5
Great property and staff
- 4/5
Good
- 5/5
Everyone was so nice. The front office people were amazing. I believe her name was Tracy. She was extremely kind and helpful with my stay her and helping with the shuttle
- 5/5
Clean, convenient check in. Parking is a pain
- 3/5
On the first night there a pipe broke and sludge came out onto the floor. Management was apologetic but I had to pack up and move rooms. It was an inconvenience for me. Also there was little lighting in the room.
- 5/5
Great property
- 5/5
It was a beautiful trip with the family and comfy nice hotel and pool
- 1/5
No housekeeping daily worst breakfast in town
- 3/5
The hotel was great but when coming into the room my husband checked the bed and found two pairs of mens underwear stuffed underneath the bed
- 4/5
Everything was great, except for hard bed and soft thin pillows.
- 3/5
I liked the service but the room barely had any lights, dark room at night time
- 4/5
Be advised you have to pay for parking.
- 5/5
Plenty of parking but mechanism of paying was not convenient
- 5/5
Loved the hotel and area
- 5/5
It was a great experience. Pool & jacuzzi was kid friendly. Food had a variety of choices.
- 4/5
Overall, my stay was smooth and the location was convenient. Location was excellent too. I had the mountain view room….which included looking at Scottsdale Road, the hotel’s parking lot and 2 restaurants. The only drawback was an unidentifiable odor in the room that gave off a strong, masculine presence…similar to body odor. While it wasn’t overwhelming, it was noticeable upon entry and slightly unpleasant. The showerhead also had a a constant drip leak, but otherwise, the space served its purpose well.
- 5/5
Hotel was very clean. They had friendly staff. I would recommend staying at this location.

Location, cleanliness.
- 3/5
In a nice, safe area near lots of dining and shopping for an affordable price. However could definitely use some updating.
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
Very easy to bring our dogs and the fee was very minimal compared to other hotels.
- 5/5
Kim was awsome.
- 1/5
Stay was okay, I will never stay at a Spring Hill hotel again.
- 5/5
Staff was very good
- 5/5
Location was good.
- 5/5
Easy to check in and out
- 3/5
Couches are terrible, faucets dripped, coffee area light didn't work.
- 5/5
Every employee greeted us when we passed, absolutely no issues about the hote. Granted there was no restaurant or bar but dining options nearby-
- 5/5
Great place to stay
- 5/5
Cynthia at the breakfast buffet was a very hard worker. She kept everything stocked, cleaned and was friendly. There was a boys’ soccer team there and they were messy but she cleaned up after them immediately. The rest of the staff were very nice also.
- 5/5
The property was in a convenient spot, tucked away. The hotel was clean snd always smelled fresh.
- 5/5
Good location and was clean
- 5/5
Nothing
- 4/5
Overall, great experience. Parking payment is different, I wish the front desk person would have gone at check in. Nice property, in nice area.
- 3/5
The staff and the breakfast were top notch. While the building was renovated, it had some problems. The light fixture in my bathroom was hanging by a wire.
- 5/5
Ver nice
- 5/5
Best check in and arrival experience I have ever had. Agent was kind, helpful, informative and efficient. Better than 5 Star resort experiences.
- 2/5
This property is old, dirty and staff were unresponsive
- 4/5
Will hear the TV noise from the adjacent suite.
- 5/5
Rooms were nice and clean too. Thank you :o)
- 3/5
12.00 parking fee is not good. We were put in a handicapped room with no tub. Promised to be switched, but never happened. Toilet was clogged.
- 4/5
It is a somewhat old property but the rooms were clean and the service was great!
- 3/5
My stay had some challenges that I would like to share. I had requested a queen bed, but I was given a room with double beds on the second floor, which did not meet my expectations. Additionally, the carpet in the room had a noticeable odor, which impacted my comfort. I hope these issues can be addressed to improve the experience for future guests. Thank you for your attention to this feedback.
- 5/5
Our only issue was that we asked for new towels/trash thrown on our 2nd day and that was not done
- 5/5
The breakfast was very good!
- 2/5
The hotel room was deceiving from the photos on Expedia & a disappointment. It was clearly outdated, with worn-out furniture and a musty smell that hit me as soon as I walked in. The cleanliness was subpar, stains on the carpet & walls and the bathroom had areas peeling off. The bed linens felt old and dingy, making it hard to relax. Overall, the room felt neglected and far below acceptable standards. I would not stay here again. Save your money or pay a lil extra for something bettter.
- 2/5
Below average accommodations. Everything is in disrepair. Lots of other places to stay in. Should be avoided.
- 4/5
Will stay again
- 5/5
Everything was great. Only issue was breakfast starting time, thought it was 6am and seemed to be later…
- 5/5
Would definitely stay there again
- 5/5
Front desk ver friendly
- 5/5
Best customer service I’ve seen in a long time! The lady at the breakfast bar was SUPER nice! Desk staff SUPER friendly and helpful. Wow!
- 5/5
The staff was amazing. Extremely helpful. Going above and beyond. The breakfast was delicious. Glad I booked with them
- 5/5
Very kind staff at front desk!
- 4/5
Paying for parking is crazy
- 5/5
Only negative is $11 a night parking. Aside from that it was amazing.
- 5/5
Friendly staff
- 5/5
Loved staying here would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
What I like is that everything was close by, walkable distance.
- 5/5
We stayed at this hotel with our family and our dog, we hade a great time! The double bed suite was perfect for us and had no issues at all. The front desk staff are all wonderful and helped us with late night check-in as we drive from CA. Will highly recommend and come back again! Thank you.
- 4/5
The stay was good. The breakfast was good. The only negative was that I did not know in advance there is an additional $15 parking fee. We stayed here because of the convenience to Mayo Clinic appointment.
- 5/5
Friendly staff and amenities are always on point
- 4/5
Pool could be better
- 5/5
Great little pool, weird having to pay for parking as not much around. But good having Black Bear dining nearby, good food. Also you can visit either pool and there is a bar & restaurant at sister hotel next door.
- 4/5
Not sure if the website Expedia had disclosed this but $10.00 a night for parking! Ridiculous!
- 5/5
Very clean, rooms excellent, staff superb
- 3/5
Receptionist wasn't available when we needed to change room, because the room given to us at check in still had people in it. Pool wasn't clean. Room was okay. Okay for one night, wouldn't book this hotel again.
- 5/5
Good place for biz travellers.
- 5/5
Clean, quiet and good breakfast choices
- 5/5
Great location if you're in need for quiet. Very clean room and spacious. Was glad there was a ceiling fan since it helped balance the air with ac...really makes a difference. Bathroom is a big deal to me...it's spacious and I like the walk in shower. Breakfast was fresh and ample. Service was accommodating to needs. Restaurants and shopping are far enough and not too close to hotel. It means you don't hear traffic and all sorts of congestion. I would definitely go back to this location as a peaceful hideaway. My only request is a stationary bike in their fitness room.
- 5/5
Limpio y agradable...muy bien la relacion precio a lo que ofrecen
- 5/5

Lovely quiet location. Very clean and yummy breakfast
