    This property is a reasonable value in the area, but it's not an exceptional place. Needs some help. The furniture in our room had reached the end of it's service life. It was functional, but just barely. The bathroom and bed were fine. The "hot" breakfast failed to meet expectations. We stuck with yogurt and a bagel with our coffee. Parking was close and plentiful during our stay. Would we stay there again? It was fine for a place to sleep the night before we caught a cruise out of Galveston.

    Close to everything we were doing It was under construction. I booked a room but when I got there it was gone. My room was an old room across the hall from the room they were using for storage. Smell was not good. I was not pleased at all.

    Parking was easy. Staff friendly. Property is being remodeled and trash is left in parking lot which needs to be cleaned up. Only other negative is the train track near by. Otherwise very safe and nice property.

    The water temperature was below par, practically cold. When mentioned to staff upon passing, she did not say one word. There is construction going on at the property, as well as a huge construction project right next to the property.

    We have stayed here multiple times over the last 4 years. About 3 times a year. The hotel must have changed hands. Staff is very nice and room was clean. The room felt musty, like the ac filter needed changing. The sound on the TV could be better...not the best sound. Breakfast was disappointing. Prior to this visit, a full buffet was offered, serving, eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits, waffles, etc. This time was eggs, sausage, only white bread, cereal, and some yogurt. Didn't even have real cream for the coffee, just the powder packets. No sugar substitute. No decaf coffee. Could be much better. Exercise room was not available, which I was counting on. Perhaps we will give it one more try.

    On my first day of check-in, Nicky received me. She was very friendly. The room was very clean, and the air conditioning was powerful—except that it was very noisy. The hotel's location is very convenient for visiting the Space Center Houston, and it's very quiet The only thing I'm not quite satisfied with is that the elevator is relatively old

    Found trash in the room under the beds from before us, shelf was sticky behind the couch. Room looked like work had just been done, but the main door got stuck on the floor and the bathroom door had to be lifter to close Front desk worker answered a call in the middle of checking us in and told them "Not to say nothin"

    The room was not cleaned after the first night, and we had to ask for towels and toilet paper. The food was okay, but the juice machine wasn’t working, and there was always something missing at breakfast, not enough sausage, not enough waffle batter, and the cereal machine wasn’t working either. The hallways near the rooms had a weird smell. I had to go to reception 3 times because card was not activated. Overall, I think you get what you pay for. It’s probably okay if you’re only staying for one night. On the positive side, it’s close to NASA.

    Stayed in RM 130. This place/room was a hot mess. Never stay in a property by this company. Couldn’t open the curtains, room smelled moldy and musty, the shampoo and conditioner dispenser was on the floor in the shower, nowhere to put the soap in the shower, except on the floor, house keeping did not come in to get the wet towels on one of the days, nowhere to hang up the wet towels, stayed for 4 nights only made the bed once in the four nights, the dresser bottom drawer was broken and falling apart, the outlet switches behind the nightstand was falling out of the wall. Couch was a hard and bumpy.

    First off, this is NOT in Kemah. It’s across the bay in Seabrook near some landfills and refineries. It’s in a dimly lit lot behind a Shell station. The furniture is old/damaged, paint and wallpaper need attention. A/C leaked/dripped right above the toilet. Keys stopped working multiple times. Slow internet. Small TV. Mystery stains on couch and comforters. Beds creaked and were not comfortable.

    The room was definitely not what was advertised on your website. The door wouldn't securely stay closed. The T.V. didn't work. The outlet didn't work. The room telephone didn't even have a wire cord connected, so therefore I had to leave the room to speak with the front desk. The worse of them all was the fact that the room had the strongest mildew unpleasant smell that was just horrible. I requested a refund from the front desk due to all the reasons above and the receptionists agreed to my complaining and said I would receive a refund due to unacceptable conditions on the hotels part, in which I haven't received yet

Every time we stay (this was the fifth, I think), there are fewer amenities. The elevator was out of service for our entire 10-night stay, and at no point was I able to connect to the internet. The guest laundry is gone, as is the waffle maker at breakfast. The window shade in our room was broken, and the bathroom had no toilet paper holder. At the very least, Choice Hotels needs to update their online description of the hotel.

    The place is very clean. You can even smell the clean, which is refreshing when going to a hotel. The woman that checked us in was awesome. So friendly and so knowledgeable. She offered us coffee this evening as it’s freezing outside. It’s not the best location, as it’s not near anything beach related, but it’s about a mile off Nasa Rd at Seabrook/Kemah border where it dead ends. Our favorite seafood restaurant, Tookie’s, is right at that corner so we are thrilled! Has a nice small pool. We only needed for the night before we leave on our cruise tomorrow. Very clean breakfast area.

    Arrived and had to wait almost 30 minutes to check in because no one was at front desk and wouldn’t answer phone number given to call. When arrived into room it was hot and so turned down the ac and then went to use bathroom and light in bathroom didn’t work, had to get a lamp from room to plug in because once again no one was answering phone, took shower and there was no floor mat, they only gave us 2 towels and 2 washcloths. Came out of shower and room was still hot, called down stairs and finally got someone to answer, was moved rooms but then when getting into that room, I had paid for a king and was moved to a double bed room. Tv didn’t work, there was no coffee, no ice bucket and no cups, the blinds didn’t work as far as opening and closing. Was hoping to relax and get some rest after a long drive but definitely very unhappy.

    Me and my family had stayed here for vacation, and honestly it was one of the best experiences ever! The service was one of a kind, parking is great and the room services are amazing! We had left for dinner , and came back with spotless rooms, beds made and bathrooms cleaned with new towels! 10/10 definitely would recommend!

    Headline: Avoid! Terrible service and broken facilities. Total disaster for a family of four. We booked 2 Queen beds via Hotels.com, but the rude night clerk forced us into 1 King room and told us to "call Hotels.com" if we didn't like it. I had to sleep on a cramped sofa. If they can’t honor the room types listed on booking sites, they shouldn't be on them. The elevator has been broken for 4 months (lugged bags to the 3rd floor), the room smelled like smoke and chemicals, and our key cards failed repeatedly. Breakfast was empty by 8:30 AM with no refills or cutlery available. Never coming back.

    The staff was very amicable and professional. The room itself was very spacious and clean. The only thing that needed updated was the furniture which they were going to do as they had new furniture arrivals the day I showed up. I'm sure that the rooms will look much nicer with the new furniture. Aside from that, I had a great stay!

    We booked this room for the night before a cruise. We had to book Kemah, because it was Lonestar Bike Rally weekend in Galveston and the rooms on the island were either sold out or outrageous. For the price, it was fine. The location looks a little sketch, but we had no issues. The elevator doesn't work. Luckily our room was only on the 2nd floor. The building itself and the entry into the hotel look clean. The carpet and rooms are a little run down. The furniture in the room needs to be replaced, including the mattresses. The mattress was a little hard. The room was clean, but everything was just old. No signs of cockroaches or bedbugs so that was good. I did a very thorough investigation lol. Just old furniture. The bathroom had been renovated, so that was really clean and new looking. They should take out the carpets and put down those tile/wood look floors like a lot of hotels have now. it gives the room a larger and cleaner feel. But we only stayed the one night and it was fine for the night.

    Rooms were very clean and fresh smelling upon entry. All the receptionist where very polite, helpful, and patient as I kept locking my key card in the room 3 times. Fresh made breakfast along with variety of beverages cold and hot. I did not see one bug in the room fresh linens, stocked toiletries, personal coffee maker in room as well as above average mini fridge. Very quiet hallways, very refreshing pool with lots of sitting areas. Convenience store and a couple of restaurants within walking distance

    The manager and staff was every nice!! The rooms are very roomy and comfortable. My family and friends had a wonderful time for my sisters 50th birthday party. We love it so much we said we will be back again soon.

    As soon as I arrived the lady couldn't find my reservation, then I was informed the room I reserved was unavailable. I had to take a room with two Double beds instead of a king, it was on the third floor and THE ELEVATOR was BROKEN!! The room had broken furniture, unclean stains on the furniture and floor with a weird smell. When I went down for some coffee, I was told there wasn't any. I also needed to have a document printed out but their printer had no ink. So NO go there. I was very disappointed with my stay as the ratings stated it was an 8 out of 10? I'm not sure who had done past reviews but I think they were blind, had no sense of smell and liked to run up and down stairs all day and never drank coffee after 9am!!

    Do not stay in this hotel! The staff is terrible especially the 2 heavy set women that work the front desk, one Caucasian and one African American. The only amazing employee was the young man, which was excellent and very helpful. I was moved to 2 different rooms due to bed bugs coming out of the mattress, sheets were dirty, hotel smelled, carpet felt wet and the elevator and AC in the rooms were not working! They offered me a refund when I checked in but decided to stay since I traveled a long distance and had my small child with me and arrived late. After the bed bug incident they offered to refund me but I needed to check out immediately and didn’t take it since it was late. Finally we had enough and tried to cancel our 2nd night and they refused to refund me and were very rude about it. We ended up losing our money and stayed elsewhere! Terrible property

    The evening staff Dre was fantastic.He was professional and very kind. The lady who was working the front office and breakfast area on 8/10/25 was very rude.At the time, there was no more breakfast or plates. So I saw her on the phone and softly said,is there anyone for breakfast area.She looked at me and said very rudely I am on reservation and just wait a moment. So it is always a way to do something but being rude is not one of them. The elevators were not working which was not good. So I called to get late check out and the same lady said No late check-out and that comes from my manager cause it is full.So that did not seem right to me because Dre just told me and husband alot of people cancelled due to no elevators.So why we could not get late check out. Overall the stay was ok but the lady at front who worked breakfast area made our stay not so good. The manager Patel needs to inform ALL staff to treat their guest with respect..KUDUS to Dre..

    Disappointed. Pool was shut down, pool furniture mostly broken, elevator out of service, fitness center also shut down. This is South Texas in August, it is hot, it is important to have the pool operational. Room was never cleaned for the 3 days I stayed there. Men's room in the Lobby was filthy; dried pee covering the seat, no seat covering available, no TP! Staff was friendly, but management is just pitiful.

    Room was very smelly. Carpet was wet. Sheets were dirty. Needs a bad upgrade. Asked for room change and Elisa couldn’t switch as per so call they were booked but that was a lie. Hotel parking lot had a few vehicles. Elisa was rude.

    Do not stay here! The photos are extremely misleading. We booked a 2-queen suite but were told they only offer full beds or kings. They tried putting our 12-year-old sons in a separate room. We ended up in a king with a couch bed that fit only one, so one child slept on the filthy floor. Sheets were unchanged, furniture broken, and the mattress stained. The hotel was dirty throughout—hallways hadn’t been cleaned in months, dead bugs and roaches everywhere, green mildew on the windows, and a strong odor on the second floor. The elevator was out the entire stay, forcing us to use the stairs to the 3rd floor. The pool, which we were told was recently serviced, turned bright green, smelled like a lake, had algae, and had unsafe features like a loose ladder and missing concrete. Housekeeping never came—we had to put trash in the hallway and ask for towels. Half the lights didn’t work inside or outside, the A/C vent was full of gunk, and the phone was unusable. The gym was out of order, and the computer area lacked privacy. We even came back to find pee in our toilet, suggesting someone was in our room while we were out. Breakfast was a joke. The A/C worked only on the first floor. There were so many ants outside, they got in our car. The manager was kind and did issue a 50% refund, but that doesn’t fix how awful the stay was. This was the worst hotel we’ve ever experienced. We checked out early and will never return.

    Very visibly brown Stained mattress(sheet didn’t cover it), black out curtain has no string to open it, beds do not have comforters only sheets, pillows are small squares the size of throw pillows-you get 3 for a queen size bed. Tv has 4 channels, spider hanging off the web in bathroom, 2 holes (damage) in bathroom door, horrible brown staining all in bathroom looks horrible. When we arrived the elevator was broken, ice machine doesn’t work. Never coming here again and I do NOT recommend!!

    Amenities were dismal at best. Elevator was out of order during our entire stay. Lucky me I have knee problems and was placed on the second floor. My husband has back problems too but that didn’t seem to matter. The air conditioner leaked so badly half the carpet in half the room was soaking wet and squished around as we walked. Finally the fitness room was also inconveniently out of order too.

    Decent weekend stay. I’ll start by saying the front desk staff were amazing! I was a little unhappy when I made it to my room to find lamps leaning, everything unplugged, hair all over bathroom floor, and in shower along with dirt. Not to mention the trash overflowing in the common (ice) area on the 2nd floor. Overall a decent stay, it’s just that first impressions are lasting impressions.

    The Manager Marvelette was so nice and helpful with my sister surprise 50th birthday party and we will forever use this hotel again for family vacation. Breakfast was delicious.

    Outside the property in the parking lot was full of ants, a lot of ants got all over our truck. The breakfast was good but they didnt have staff overseeing the breakfast to make sure everything was fully stocked, things would run out and there was no staff around to ask to replenish. Some of the lights in the room did not work. The staff was nice and friendly. If those things could be fixed it would be a great stay.

    5 star for the gentleman that works the night shift. We ran out of laundry soap and he help us find some. He also gave us plenty of towels for the pool. One of the nicest and thoughtful desk clearance I've come across .

    The Comfort Suites online seemed to fit our needs, pet friendly and pool. Upon arrival/check in, we noticed the pool water was green. We decided to leave and seek a room at another hotel. We ended up cancelling our reservation. We would not recommend this Comfort Suites to family or friends.

    After 15 minutes of waiting and saying hello and trying to call the hotel i had to walk behind the counter and bang on the employee door to get service. The room stunk extremely bad. Pillows and bed were ridiculously uncomfortable and the bathroom door didn't close unless forced.

    The hotel has just been purchased by new owners. With that said they are remodeling the third floor and the pool just got fixed. The breakfast did not have enough cereal and the milk was in a pitcher that anyone can handle and pour out of not good at all. Only plain coffee creamer no choices the eggs are powdered and the only thing good was the waffles you make your self.

    Location was great…. But that’s about it. 3rd floor had all kinds of issues from a.c to all kinds of bugs and room not being fully cleaned. After I requested to be moved to another room It just got worse. Room phones do not work at all when needed to call the front desk. Breakfast was awful, families woke up early and there was just the bare minimum with no famous waffle batter to be filled up. When asked around 8am if there will be more eggs and waffle batter a staff member rudely said no that kitchen is closing soon. Remind you… this is at 8am and on a weekend families are told breakfast is over at 9am. Families PAY for this hotel stay and treated as if we were dogs begging for food. Entire lobby was upset! Again, third floor seemed to have been under renovation but yet they put families in rooms with termite nest, roaches, and bedsheets with dried up food still stuck on the sheets. I have never had any problems with this hotel chain until visiting Kemah Comfort. I have googled the reviews and seen that all the negative comments from recent months has the same issue, replies look the same from management or whoever they may be, well no prior comment was taken seriously because my stay was this past 4th of July weekend and it seems to have a repeat of the same bug and breakfast complaints. DO NOT TAKE YOUR FAMILY HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BRING BACK PET ROACHES IN YOUR LUGGAGE!

    I have been coming to the hotel when it was a Best Western, since it became a Comfort Inn, I have seen a steady decline. This last stay was disappointing to say the least. Check-in was a hassle, the carpet in the hall going to our room was stained, the smell of mold and mildew filled the halls and room, and the pool was green. Breakfast had scrambled eggs loaded with salt, greasy sausage, and stale bread. The cereal dispensers had two sugar cereals and the third was fused together like a brick. The waffle batter was so thick and old it would not dispense. While all the time a large employee was yelling from the breakfast room to the cashier how she is mistreated and under paid. I was getting used to the plant employees cutting through the parking lot making a NASCAR event. I realize I have a choice and I chose to go somewhere else.

    Online pics are very deceiving. Check in clerk was friendly but wearing a flannel shirt with a huge hole in it. We were told there was no wifi and the Pool was green and out of service. The rooms were not what your pics shows. Very disappointed in Expedia. Although the hotel was not what we expected, it was very clean.

    Simple things need to be fixed. Drapes that actually close. Stock the food counter during breakfast. Shouldn't have to ask for yogurt every day. Too humid in rooms ac does control humidity which is needed in Houston.
