Immaculate quality of service, food and drink

Beautiful, historic property located in the heart of all the places you want to access in Seattle. The rooms are traditional, clean, and have been updated to the extent possible. However, this is an older property and some of the fixtures in the bathrooms could be more modern. Overall, the Fairmount is wonderful for high-level of service and beautiful settings.
- 4/5
We didn’t have body gell/soap in our shower. Windows did not provide enough noise insulation. Lots of street noise
- 5/5
I wish the city tax was included in the price up front.
- 5/5
Excellent location.
- 5/5
Super comfortable beds and room.
- 5/5
First time in Seattle and my stay at Fairmont was an outstanding experience, from excellent customer service to tasty food and drinks at the bar as well as breakfast room service. The Olympic Fairmont is centrally located within walking distance to the Market at Pike Place, and the Space Needle. Will absolutely return to Seattle and stay at the Fairmont.
- 5/5
It was clean. It was well kept, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. I love that there was a restaurant and a bar available. We didn’t use the pool or the spa area, but it looked nice too.
- 5/5
Everything was lovely, with modern conveniences amidst some old time glamour.
- 5/5
Amazing property!
- 5/5
The staff were all amazing! Turned down the spare bed for us while we were out for the evening, which was a pleasant surprise to come back to.
- 5/5
The room was always cleaned, the staff was great the hot tub felt nice. The hotel is very nostalgic.
- 5/5
Very comfortable accommodations! Beautiful property
- 5/5
The room was very clean and spacious. Just wish there was a refrigerator and coffee available for free. Plus microwave. The staff very friendly and helpful
- 5/5
Very comfortable and stylish. The pool was wonderful. The hot tub is very ample. A calm, sophisticated, and high-quality hotel.
- 5/5
It's a hotel with a solid reputation in Seattle, has a great restaurant, hopping bar area, and a bunch of other amenities. From massages, hair cuts, spa and more, this is a hotel you can come, stay, hangout and get pampered. Even though it might be a little bit of an older hotel it holds itself well and they keep it well maintained.
- 5/5
What a beautiful, historic hotel! First we were greeted by an amazing valet, Victor, who was super friendly and helpful. Check-in was a breeze and room service attendant very thorough and also friendly and the meals were delicious. The room was gorgeous with a great view of downtown just as described and the bed was very comfy. Couldn’t be happier with our stay!

- 3/5
Location, the size of the room and the swimming pool. Only one USB charging point in the room and limited socket outlets, which was restricting for two people. We had an inside corner view room, which looked directly into adjacent windows.
- 4/5
Location and staff great.
- 1/5
Also they didn't have a trash can in their lobby, or by the valet parking, I had to carry the trash with me to the airport. Won't come to this hotel again.

Lovely restaurent and coffee shop and bar. Staffs were so nice e and helpful
- 5/5
Great location, lobby was fantastic, staff were very nice and helpful

Wonderful staff and a property in a great location! This will be our go-to hotel for any future trips!

facilities missed the 5 star mark this stay
- 5/5
Everything was amazing.
- 4/5
Clean and very nice, and you pay for it! “Urban experience fee” and tax on that fee, per night!
- 3/5
The person that checked us in was unfriendly and did not provide information about the hotel. There was also an open and used evian water bottle in our room that I had to be asked to take off our bill since we are not the ones that drank it.
- 5/5
The staff was very helpful. I got upgraded and also got to check in early
- 5/5
The service was excellent from all the staff we encountered. We would stay there again.
- 5/5
Clean and beautiful with lovely food options, though none of them complimentary. Convenient location and very helpful staff.
- 4/5
The gym and sauna are very dated. However, the rest of the hotel was quite nice.
- 4/5
Lovely property. Bedroom and lounge area of suite were excellent. The resort fee. Bit of a rip off. Meant to provide water in room but only 1 carton left per day for 2 travelers. Coffee credit each day but coffee shop shut on 2 of our days. Old bath in bathroom with shower curtain - not in keeping with rest of room.
- 4.5/5
Amenities were excellent. Breakfast in restaurant were also really nice. We stayed with wedding party and our rooms were conveniently close. It was a nice service to provide water at the valet when we arrived back to the hotel after being out. Everything was lovely. No other suggestions.

Had a fantastic time at the Fairmont Olympic - the staff were lovely. The highlight was the hotel bar - fantastic drinks and service and a great atmosphere. It was the perfect place for our girls weekend away.
- 5/5
The hotel was very beautiful and clean. They had all the amenities; pool, hot tub, weight room, restaurant and bar. The rooms were clean and spacious. The check in staff, and luggage staff were kind. We had a meal in the George and were disappointed that an automatic 23% gratuity was added onto our bill of 3. We felt that was excessive, especially we all didn't think that the food was excessively outstanding. The octopus appetizer and french onion soup were tasty. Some of the main attractions were only a few blocks away which made this hotel a good location. Overall I would come back to stay but I wouldn't be eating at the hotel again unfortunately.

- 4/5
The hotel was a bit outdated, and we were missing some amenities from our room.
- 4/5
Room staff was outstanding. Checkiut was better than check-in. No idea what the resort fee was for. I'm already an Accor member so get free wifi. Lobby bar was attrocious on the Friday night we arrived with plated on seats and waiting 25min for drinks. $36 for a glass of mediocre Pinot Noir... Pool also in need of some TLC and attendants to keep the area clean.
- 5/5
Great location

- 2/5
For a hotel of this caliber I was not happy at all. Arrived in room very hot and tv movie channel not working tech arrived opened wall and removed a filter from heating that was completely covered in dust overrun and blamed for circulating air terrible. Tv was not working they had no movies on demand and no way to connect Netflix. Elevators smelled of old cheese. Called to concierge in evening to arrange car service no answer opened my own doors at front as service members chatting amongst themselves hopefully they take this and do better no food service at bar after 10 pm. Improvement is much needed here in management of this facility. Won’t be back. Due to construction on road out front our sleep often disturbed by cars driving over metal plate on road !
- 5/5
Absolutely lovely! Staff was unbeatable which made our stay perfect.

- 2/5
Room service staff was rude. The delivered the food and forgot our utensils, we had to wait an additional 40 minutes to receive them. Dined in the restaurant, the food was cold by the time it was served. Definitely not worth the price that you pay. Valet service forgot to get our vehicle and waited for 45 minutes for it to arrive. Will not stay there again.
- 5/5
Great location. Great staff. Great rooms. Great service and a great value. Will definitely stay here again when I return to Seattle .
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel, great staff. Would stay again!
- 3/5
First, the hotel itself is beautiful, and we were very happy with the room as well as the gym and pool area. However, we were disappointed with the overall service experience. It took almost 45 minutes to check into the hotel, and the lineup extended from the front desk to the elevators. I’ve never waited that long to check into a hotel before. We also dined at the lounge several times. The food and atmosphere were good, but the evening service was disappointing. We were seated at a table that was dirty and sticky, and when we pointed it out to the server, he simply dropped off a cloth for us to clean it ourselves. We also had to call the front desk from our room twice, and both times we were on hold with an automated system for over 30 minutes, which was extremely frustrating. I’ve never stayed at a hotel where guests cannot directly reach the front desk and speak with someone. Paying guests do not want to speak to a robot and then wait 30+ minutes for assistance.
- 5/5
Staff were friendly and great. I booked only a few days in advance for 1 night to join up with other people and front desk person went out of his way to get our rooms on the same floor and as close together as possible. Great service.
- 4/5
4nights stay and One day without room cleaning.
- 5/5
Fantastic property in Seattle. Beautiful grounds/amenities. Could use some updating here and there… but overall a great spot. Location is excellent.
- 1/5
I love the Fairmont but tried to cancel my reservation 5 days in advance and was told NO. I cancelled because the friend I planned to visit was admitted to the hospital. I believe this was not a Fairmont issue but was a Hotels.com issue.
- 5/5
Reception staff were lovely and hotel was great.
- 5/5
Beautiful and upscale. Excellent downtown location.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel, centrally located and convenient to everything. The light rail, Pike Place Market, the library and numerous restaurants are just blocks away. A wonderful stay.
- 5/5
Nice and clean.
- 2/5
The property is unique from a design, architectural perspective…. That’s the good! We arrived and had to wait 40 mins for check in, got to our room and couldn’t turn the shower on unless you get inside the shower, power for usb cables didn’t work, some lights wouldn’t turn on, no instructions for the coffee machine so water in one canister leaked everywhere, windows let light in so no blackout and the air conditioning didn’t get below 72 , so unique yes , famous name yes but aged and lacked fineness for price charged! Would we stay again… don’t think so but location was excellent
- 5/5
Beautiful and upscale. Excellent downtown location.
- 4/5
Loved our stay. The only downside was my daughter found a sock in our room that didn’t belong to any of us so assuming it was the previous guest. I think she found it under the desk/in the drapes so maybe difficult for housekeepers to see. Another downside was the wait at reception!!! My husband was in line for 25 minutes. Waiting in line (especially with kids who are tired) didn’t feel great. Everything else was amazing!
- 5/5
Great stay!

- 5/5
We stayed over the weekend for two nights in a one bedroom suite. The room was nice, well appointed. The service was great and the hotel had nice amenities especially for a hotel over 100 years old. Fairmont never disappoints.
- 5/5
The staff was lovely and accommodating. Looking forward to returning. Thank you,
- 5/5
The hotel was beautiful, the interior was very grand. The service was excellent and staff were very attentive. It was very clean, there were multiple restaurants in the hotel and it was within walking distance to several attractions. They could have had better coffee!
- 5/5
Beautiful Hotel, amazing Bar environment, very friendly staff, delicious restaurant and much more, a 5+ star Hotel, definitely stay there again!
- 3/5
Staff is excellent and the hotel is beautiful. Unfortunately the room was dirty, including food remnants on numerous surfaces and bathrobes with visible stains. Not good enough for a Fairmont, probably won't come back.
- 3/5
Rooms are ugly, very dated decore. City view is view to the top of some roof, you dont see anything but the depressing. Is depreasing. The room was very long and sort of narrow. There was a small TV at the end of that tunnel, too far to see anything. Pool is nice but cold. Jacuzzi did not work. Also long wait to talk to anyone from service.

Service was poor. Place looks nice but not as in the pics. Parking is expensive. I wouldn’t stay there again.
- 3/5
This was an ok hotel. There really was no stand out for the hotel or location. Breakfast would have been more enjoyable with a buffet and it just lacked the service and quality expected
- 5/5
Beautiful, classic high-end feel. Heated pool and accommodating spa/salon. Room was very spacious, but the shower/ bath was small & dated. Very easy access to Pike Street and Symphony light rail.

At the check-in the agent was disputing with me over a drink voucher and whether or not I qualified for one even though I had an email saying I did. I finally told her I'm not looking to dispute this bc it doesn't matter that much. She then just handed it to me.

Lovely classic hotel with attentive and very helpful staff. However, a surprise at checkout with a daily "Urban Experience Fee" of $35 that was added onto the total bill - even though the booking said that it was inclusive of fees and taxes...

Great hotel stay and friendly staff all around

Always perfect

The staff was amazing, especially David at the front desk. A beautiful lobby bar and iconic lounge with amazing cocktails. I had breakfast in my room ..a beautiful avocado toast, poached egg, loaded with fresh crab and a bowl of sweetest berries. They upgraded me to a junior suite, and all the amenities were great.

This is a must stay, especially during the holiday season. It has everything you can ask for and then some.
- 4/5
Great hotel though our room was not ready when we arrived at 5 pm. Theyvassignedcusxa high floor w view. When we returned to check in a bit later, they’d given our room away. Gave us a far inferior room
- 4/5
Stayed in a 2 room suite. No dresser drawers and clothes closet was in the entr;y hall. AI room service was a nuisance. Couldn"t speak with anyone for clarificatioon of orders.
- 1/5
I booked and prepaid for my room at this hotel, specifically for the location on 4th avenue. I got an email from hotel.com the same day I expected to check in, stating that my reservation had been revoked. So I called, I spoke to Maria from the front desk, who assured me my res was still in good standing. I arrive to hotel and the front desk disappeared with my ID for 20 minutes, only to come back and tell me they overbooked and had no room for me. I travel a lot in general, I book direct sometimes and sometimes thru Expedia, and have never experienced something like this. And from a company like Fairmont? Let’s be fair, I would expect that from motel 6 but this was a five star property. I will never spend money there again. And if I could give zero stars I would.
- 1/5
Unable to check in. I was told a "glitch" happened and the Fairmont
- 2/5
- We booked a suite. Reception did not inform us that our suite consisted of two separate rooms. After an hour of confusion, we realized that we had to go to the other room from the hallway to open the joining door. - At the pool, my wife asked directions for the locker rooms and reply was more or less one word answer. - We ordered breakfast to the room, which never arrived. After we called room service again, they said it was cancelled and person started arguing with my wife. - I still haven't received my folio by email. I have already sent an additional request. It's a beautiful hotel, but the service is one star at best.
- 5/5
The room was great. The staff was even better! Reception was very welcoming as well as the cleaning staff. Additionally, we were especially surprised with the kindness of the valet staff as they offered us waters before our hike.
- 5/5
Room was very comfortable, staff very friendly and helpful. Loved the text option for questions or problems.
- 1/5
At check-in, I was given keys to one room with no explanation. When I entered, it felt much smaller than what I expected for a suite that was supposed to be around 1,200 square feet. I’m not someone who usually complains, but something clearly didn’t seem right. Around 1:00 a.m., I finally called the front desk and was told the suite actually consisted of two completely separate rooms — with the second room located across the hall. This was never explained at check-in and was not clearly communicated when I booked through Expedia. When most people book a suite, especially at this price point, they expect connected space — not separate rooms across the hallway. To make things worse, the bathroom appeared to have been poorly remodeled. There was paint and drywall residue visible, and the finish looked incomplete and messy. This is not what you expect from a luxury 5-star hotel, especially at this price level. This miscommunication took away from the experience and cost me time I should have been enjoying my stay. To make matters worse, even though my reservation was prepaid through Expedia, the hotel charged my card again at check-in. I was told they would have to contact accounting to process a refund, which added more inconvenience and concern. Overall, very disappointed with the communication
- 4/5
I probably have stayed here over a dozen times and one thing is they are reliable. The rooms are decent size and the location to I five is very convenient to get to the airport.
- 5/5
We were upgraded and spoiled the entire time! They brought us a treat for our anniversary and complimentary champagne. I love this hotel it’s so special. I’m not the biggest fan of the upgrades they made in recent years but still a great hotel.
- 3/5
Cons: Bathroom had stains on the wallpaper and hairs stuck to the ceiling. Order room service by phone and the food never shows. So like a normal human I called to the desk. However, the phone in the room connects you to automated system which puts you on hold for as long as you're able to. My limit was 10 minutes on hold. Talked to the front desk in the morning and was told to text them if it happens again or just order at the front desk and then go to your room. Which I personally feel like that negates the luxury of room service in it's entirety. The TV "guide" feature didn't work and neither did any of the info buttons. Again not massive issues and we weren't in the room a lot but a fully functional newer TV would make the room a little bit better. Pros: Great historic building! Coffee shop in the lower level was great and the gluten free muffin was pretty good too. The bed was firm and comfortable. The lobby and bar has amazing woodwork and is beautiful. The lemon water and water dispenser in the gym were great for filling up our water bottles. The location is amazing, walked around all 4 days we stayed there only took ubers to dinner. The Nespresso coffee machines in the room were nice to get the day started. All in all it was a decent stay but I feel like for the money spent on 4 nights there are nicer options.

I had to sleep in a cot! Place had no pool. I wanted to swim sooo bad. New spot was dumpy like the leadership that was on hand. They should fire thier technology team. Areent reservation systems AUTOMATED???

I didn’t like that I had to talk to AI to try to get room service or any information. There was no life person to talk to very annoying.
- 5/5
We loved our stay at the Fairmont. The location was great for walking around downtown Seattle. I loved the convenience of the 4th Ave Espresso Bar located near the lobby. The room was large and had everything we needed. My kids loved the large indoor pool as well.
- 5/5
Great staff all around from bartenders, maid service, The George restaurant, concierge.
- 5/5
Location is amazing...close to great restaurants, Pike Place Market and Lumen Field...and the lobby bar is one of the most happening places in Seattle.
- 5/5
Great location, helpful and friendly staff.

Expedia helped us throughout the process and refunded us. This is entirely on the Fairmont hotel. I recommend to stay away from the bad management style.

The room was clean and comfortable, but a bit outdated. Beds were comfortable. The shower had very low water pressure. We had a nice view and the room was quiet except for traffic noise, but noise died down by bedtime.

Despite having a paid, private reservation, multiple intoxicated guests repeatedly occupied our table and consumed the bottle we had ordered. There was no staff oversight to ensure our reserved seating and purchases were respected. I raised these concerns with the manager, who apologized and indicated the matter would be addressed. However, upon visiting our table, it was evident that several unauthorized guests were still seated there and continuing to consume our ordered bottle. The situation was not effectively resolved. Given the premium pricing for this event, the level of organization, service, and guest management was unacceptable. Overall, the experience was disappointing and did not reflect the quality or value expected

The room was always cold—no heat from register; the bathroom tile was freezing, and the nice rug that helped was removed on day 2; The George restaurant said no reservations, then we arrived and were asked if we made a reservation; their AI system is a disaster—don’t use it to get your car (never worked). Valet service was excellent; food also excellent.

The room was kep very clean and well supplied

Everyone we interacted with were extremely helpful and friendly. The bed, sheets, and pillows were extremely comfy. We loved the Le Labo products in the bathrooms. Well worth it.

New Year’s Eve event was wonderful
- 3/5
Probably time for some upgrades. The breakfast buffet was very average
- 5/5
We were afforded a very early check in and late check out. The room was quiet and clean with a nice view. The lobby is beautiful.
- 2/5
If they are all aware of # of people who need to check in, get the right amount of staff to be able to get the process smooth.
- 2/5
Waited in line for 50 min to check in.
- 3/5
Lobby is very small and the check in process along with guests trying to get a drink at the bar can be very crowded and overwhelming. There’s just no space to move around. Bunch of extra fees for a room service on top of the resort fee at the end of the stay just didn’t seem worth it when the service serviced was standard and not necessarily exceptional (like one of the waiter at the bar treated us like we’re on a fast food chain always in a hurry didn’t even smile nor made a friendly demeanor.)
- 3/5
We had booked for 2 queen beds and they gave us 2 double beds. On Friday night we asked about queen beds and the lady said that they have queen but they only had doubles available. Beds were small , not able to walk around bed , one side up against the wall.

We were treated like we didn't belong there. We were ignored on multiple occasions. Kids and adults were running around unyil 4am december 23rd. The hottub had so much grit in it.
- 5/5
Staff are amazing. No litter in front of the hotel, everyone was funny attentive and energetic. Check in was smooth. There was a huge event there with a hundred people in tuxedo tails and still check in was smooth and pleasant. Rooms was immaculate. Sheets were soft, bed was amazing. Loved every minute of it.
- 3/5
Essentially what you’re paying for is the downstairs lobby, which is was renovated beautifully. The rooms are outdated and lacking in amenities for what they charge a night. Our water was also completely shut off with no warning to us in the morning. No shower, sink or toilet, but luckily we had plans to be somewhere else that day. Just not the experience we were expecting and hoping for, so it will not be somewhere we return to for a stay when visiting Seattle.

- 5/5
Amazing customer service, and fasted room service and check in process I’ve ever had
- 3/5
The hotel was super busy and the staff were doing a great job of trying to manage things, but it took over half an hour to drop the car off at valet, more than an hour to get our luggage and we did not get access to our second room until 6pm. I felt sorry for the people who were working a second shift. I had been told we could get a rollaway for each room, it at check-in they said that they coukdn’t put a rollaway in a room that had 2 beds in it due to fire regulations. The room was super spacious which was nice, and it could easily have accommodated a rollaway.
- 1/5
service terrible.. hours to checkin and checkout. Wait to valet park. room next to elevator and children's Santa even making the room exceeding noisy.. I will never stay there again.. A couple of years ago, this hotel was my choice for Christmas weekends in Seattle.. Never again
- 5/5
Beautiful, and iconic.
- 5/5
Yes!!! Staff was amazing at helping us!!!
- 3/5
The valet wait was 45 minutes. They need more staff during the holidays. This is a common problem.
- 3/5
Booking experience via fairmont site is impossible to use - gave up and used expedia
- 3/5
The hotel was beautiful but we had a horrible experience at the hotel restaurant, The George with a server that ruined my Birthday dinner. Although the hotel was kind in comping a room service charge they wouldn’t refund our actual more expensive meal. We were very disappointed with the lack of care for our experience. I was asked for my email so a manager could reach out to me and I never received an email or any follow up.
- 4/5
Amazing staff. Great room service. Awesome pool & hot tub area. Just a beautiful hotel with all the amenities.
- 5/5
Great hospitality

Valet is also wonderful, I believe “Curtis” was his name, long dark hair, always hustling. He is wonderful and such a nice guy, very insightful as well. We plan to make this a holiday tradition for the years to come. We don’t have experience during other seasons, but I have to say, Christmas time is the best time! The trees, the lights, the smells…it was all wonderful. The pool is also so beautiful and a great temperature (as well as the hot tub). Fresh, comfy robes for all 4 of us (my husband is a big guy, 6’2” 295lbs and the robe even fit him perfectly!). Cannot wait to return! Only “Negative” that comes to mind is that the room service closes at 10pm for dessert. I think this should definitely be available until midnight, just as the “late night snacks” were available to order until 12am. But all in all 10/10, will stay here again in the future for years to come.
- 5/5
Send me this AFTER I have checked out please.
- 5/5
Rooms are so comfy, the hotel is beautifully decorated for the holidays. This hotel is very consistently wonderful
- 3/5
They were an hour and a half late in getting us checked in and did not offer any sort of consolation (late check out, free meal, etc). That was disappointing. Otherwise, it’s a wonderful place that we love to visit.
- 4/5
Beautiful, historic 100 year old landmark hotel - would have given it 5 stars but you have to deal with an obnoxious, non-working phone robot when you call the front desk. I would expect that at motel 6 but not a place like this.
- 3/5
I requested a late check out, which I received, but I paid half a day’s rate for only 3 additional hours and was told by the front desk (when I inquired) that they were far too busy to allow an additional hour for me (as I waited for my train)
- 2/5
This is not a family friendly stay. There was no hand soap, the pool had adults that weren’t being kid friendly. There was no hot water in the showers. It’s not accessible for the strollers. Trying to get room service or food took over 45 min.
- 4/5
Not impressed with valet, after a weekend of being parked there they gave me back my SUV with a completely flat tire and did not provide a warning or offer assistance.
- 3/5
The Fairmont Hotel is a beautiful facility. Situated in a great location. Check-in was very smooth and step or very polite. However, the hidden cost associated with it are outrageous. Parked our car one night, we were charged $65 plus tax. There’s a $30 resort fee, which I guess is standard. $32 for a generic sausage and egg breakfast nine dollars for a cup of coffee. Out of date TVs in hotel room. Never picked up about eight empty alcohol classes outside of the room.
- 5/5
Gorgeous decor, excellent staff, great amenities
- 5/5
Very clean and the bed is nicely done! Thank you!
- 4/5
Nice holiday decorations but prices a bit high.
- 5/5
The Fairmont is a winter wonderland. Just lovely. The room was nice and comfortable. Might be time to upgrade towels and slippers. But aw onderdul
- 4/5
There was no free breakfast!
- 5/5
Lovely stay. Room was very comfortable and the food was very good.
- 5/5
Excellent bar
- 3/5
However, a few aspects of the stay didn’t quite meet the expectations of a 5-star hotel. I later discovered it is actually considered a 4 star hotel. That is misleading on Expedia. At peak times, the lobby felt unusually busy and chaotic, which made it hard to move through comfortably. The only breakfast restaurant was completely full with a 45min wait, and no alternative seating or dining options were offered — something that stood out, especially given the hotel’s luxury rating. While there was basic coffee available in the lobby early in the morning, there were no early breakfast options or the ability to get a latte or espresso drink until 7 AM. Earlier food and specialty coffee availability would make a meaningful difference. None of these points take away from how lovely the staff were, but they are noticeable because the hotel is positioned as a 5-star property. With improved crowd management and more flexible morning dining options, the experience could more closely match the high level of service I would think.
- 5/5
Such nice hotel! Great staff service!
- 1/5
I booked a room with breakfast provided. I was told because i used a third party app i would not be eligible for the amenities. I was already on a time crunch so i tolerated it. I want a refund for that stay. Plus i wasn't told about room cleaning, i learned the hard way they use AI it was just bad service. Because of that its not clear if i am indeed safe here
- 5/5
Wow!! Beautiful historic hotel with excellent staff and lovely amenities!
- 5/5
Staff were awesome
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel. Such character and class. Clean rooms. Attentive staff. Cannot wait to come back.
- 2/5
Trip started off by dropping luggage off since we arrived early. Staff told me that the room would be ready in a few hours and I would receive a text. 8 hours later and still no text. Went in and room was clearly ready after standing in a 30 minute line. Went down a few hours later to request extra blankets, stated that they would deliver while we were out. Came back 3 hours later and no blankets. Tried to call the housekeeper number, no answer. So I walked down stairs to again request more blankets. Overall a mediocre experience considering the amount I spent.
- 2/5
I booked a suite with a pull out sofa and a king sized bed. I was traveling with my son and this room offered a little more space and privacy. The sofa was not a pull out - staff offered to bring a roll away bed - or move us into a room with 2 doubles - both of which were problematic. Also - the hotel tried to charge me for food (which we didn't have) and included a $30 / day (+tax) resort fee to my bill - we didn't use any amenities. Very poor - this is not the Fairmont experience / service I'm used to.
- 3/5
Also no coffee pods for Keruig in the room. Hotel itself is nice though
- 5/5
Breakfast at The George was mediocre but everything else was great.
- 2/5
Room was clean and amenities were ok. But housekeeping missed our room and service was bad. They appear quite short staffed.
- 5/5
Best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Staff was incredible. All the amenities were outstanding. One million stars!!!
- 5/5
Service and amenities were terrific.
- 5/5
Best ever
- 5/5
The most beautiful hotel we have ever stayed at and we will be returning very soon with our children. Very New York at the Plaza vibes, especially now during the holidays. So fun!

Wonderful hotel which is situated conveniently in the heart of downtown Seattle. The rooms are clean and staffs are welcoming. I would recommend staying and also experiencing their afternoon tea.

Beautiful public rooms, gracious staff, elegantly appointed rooms, and perfect location.

Great
- 4/5
. Room was comfortable with nice large bathroom counter. However rooms were starting to look tired in parts & was dusty when I arrived. (Although they did send someone asap to clean around the bed specifically when asked). Also you cannot call down directly to the receptionists, it’s an automated system which was frustrating to use. The pool area is pleasant and the gym is well equipped, as is the ladies changing room. Walking distance to pike market and other landmarks in the city, be prepared for the hills! Overall a comfortable stay, bellboys and door staff were exemplary - specifically the lady with a headscarf, apologies I didn’t get her name. I didn’t eat at the hotel so cannot comment although there didn’t seem to be many vegan options when I browsed.
- 5/5
More variety for breakfast menu
- 4/5
Clean room efficient staff
- 5/5
The room was beautiful, as always. The breakfast at George was delicious, great service as well. I was confused as to why the bar situation changed this visit. I went down to get a drink to bring up to our room on Saturday night and we had to wait in a line and couldn't just stand around the bar and order a drink. I hadn't experienced that during my last visit there and I decided to just get a drink at Shucker's instead.
- 5/5
Clean rooms, enjoyed hot tub and pool.
- 4/5
Service was fantastic. One minor thing, on the day we were leaving and trying to call ahead to arrange valet from the room, it kept disconnecting.
- 2/5
The rooms are outdated and not
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Clean room, front hotel desk staff were friendly and helpful. Bar staff were a little slow but it was busy but we waited awhile for our bill.
- 5/5
Super relaxing night!
- 4/5
Also wish we had 2 chairs in room. Staff at bar and in The George very friendly, provided very good service.
- 5/5
This is our favorite hotel in Seattle. The staff is amazing, it is clean, accommodating and safe for everyone.
- 5/5
Love the bar, loved the room, and the staff was very nice
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel
- 5/5
Very friendly staff
- 5/5
Best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Simply outstanding.
- 5/5
Great place great service very clean a little expensive but I went during the worst time football and baseball back-to-back so that's why the price was probably crazy overall best experience in a hotel I had it a long time
- 5/5
Our stay at the hotel was wonderful. Amenities and staff were great. Shopping, restaurants, and attractions are close by.
- 5/5
Staff was great and made my stay easy. I was there quite early, as I was going to a game. Reception took my info and held my bag. Later on in the evening when I returned, it was a breeze. All of the staff were friendly, hotel was spotless, room was excellent.
- 4/5
Very High End. Bring ypur bank account. Rooms and establishment are very nice. There is no views out of the windows as you are staring at other buildings. If we as customers are going to spend this kinda of money i personally would like a view of the ocean or something like that. It is a gorgeous hotel with an old school feeling.
- 4/5
Clean room, nice Staff, Shops nearby, it’s a little bit old.
- 5/5
Great stay
- 5/5
Everything was
- 3/5
Our bed was the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept in my life. Love the hotel bar but a 1300 a night room with horribly uncomfortable sheets and sirens going off All night made for a terrible night rest
- 5/5
Gorgeous property, terrific facilities, quiet, very clean rooms. Will be back!
- 5/5
Beautiful
- 5/5
Great property. Clean rooms friendly staff.
- 1/5
The room I stayed in was next to the road. I heard police cars, speeding cars, other road work noises all night long. It was like sleeping on the road. Absolutely 0 sound proofing
- 5/5
The hotel was in the most convenient location. Close to everything. The staff was great and very nice. The Le Labo amenities were fantastic. We had a great time in Seattle and the hotel was beautiful!
- 5/5
Great, friendly staff. Beautiful accommodations! Had a great stay!
- 5/5
Location is great and hotel is very beautiful!
- 5/5
I love this hotel, she's a grand dame nestled in the heart of the Seattle business district. The restaurant and bar in the hotel are great, and the rooms are super comfy
- 2/5
The room was dilapidated, paint peeling and a horrendous smell from the pipes in the bathroom. Clearly in need of an update. Upon check in we were not even given an introduction to the hotel and were inconvenienced when our card was not even put on file requiring an additional trip to the front desk mid stay. We walked into a bathroom with a 3/4 used toilet paper roll and during our stay found room service trays with food and drink not picked up for the entire duration of our 3 day stay. The hallway floor was also not vaccuumed for 3 whole days as dog kibble remained in the hallway, as well. On top of that, the room service food is atrocious. Hard to comprehend considering the hotel restaurant food was great. For a 5 star hotel, it fell EXTREMELY short and will not be staying again.
- 5/5
Omg obsessed with this location I will be back so easy to walk around town. Everything was a 10!!!!!
- 5/5
Had a wonderful stay at Fairmont
- 5/5
Staff in the George were wonderful!
- 4/5
I like everything about this hotel
- 5/5
Clean rooms, great staff, great restaurants and great location.
- 5/5
Very nice!
- 4/5
The phone system is a circular maze, getting to a human is impossible. Otherwise very nice place. I do miss a proper concierge service though.
- 4/5
Lovely hotel but pricey
- 4/5
- time line in the bar - Founders, I did not know there was a time limit…I was asked to leave.
- 5/5
Fantastic 1920s historic property beautifully restored. Big comfy rooms and cozy beds.
- 4/5
It s a really nice place to stay
- 5/5
Great stay
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel with excellent staff and centrally located. Many great coffee places, restaurants and Pikes Place market all within walking distance .
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay very much. The room was lovely and well appointed. I also very much appreciated that the staff made up our bed and replaced our towels, and straightened up the room each day. During Covid so many hotels dropped services, and haven’t brought them back. Thanks for making hotel stays enjoyable again!
- 5/5
All good
- 5/5
everything very clean 5⭐️
- 5/5
The room was very clean, the staff was friendly, and the property was well kept in a great location. I would gladly stay here again.
- 5/5
Fantastic property. Centrally located and incredible service. Highly recommend.
- 5/5
One of my favorite hotels. It’s absolutely gorgeous. Friendly staff. Wonderful lobby bar with delicious food. Great walkability and close to everything.
- 4/5
Good👍
- 2/5
Somewhat dated property. Rather a dark poorly arranged suite. Staff had zero charm or engagement. Their loyalty programme website is very glitchy and always experiencing technical problems. You’re likely to find better value and experience elsewhere. Sadly can’t recommend.
- 5/5
Property is fantastic. Valet is a bit expensive.
- 5/5
Was first time staying here and was beyond expectations
- 4/5
Generally a wonderful place to stay. Our only complaints were that our room was located on the front of the property and the building across the street had Rooftop event space almost parallel to our window and they held several outdoor events late into the evening that were noisy. This is beyond the hotel’s control- just know that a front facing room might be noisy.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel and very nice staff
- 5/5
The Lobby (Filipinos, Asians, The Sales Director and Reception) very well handled, super friendly and caring! Its now my fave hotel in Pacific Northwest! Outstanding positive vibe lobby lounge and my room is so beautiful even the concierge, bell boy were wonderful! Oasis in the city for solo trip!
- 5/5
Beautiful facility but both the room and bar prices were way over priced.
- 4/5
excellent property
- 5/5
Great spot pool and hot tub was beautiful. Great food options in the area such as the purple cafe across the street.
- 3/5
We were at the Fairmont over the weekend, and only one out of 5 elevators was working. The hotel seemed to be at full capacity and there was no staff members around to assist and direct you to the stairs. The phone lines were down throughout the stay. During room cleaning, our beds were done but water was not topped up in the jars. For the price of this hotel, the service should’ve been better. The women’s room shower downstairs has no running water and the front desk did not seem overly concerned about. This seems like a lot of issues for a hotel at this price point.
- 2/5
We just checked in. When we arrived there was a line up of cars spilling into the street. No where to go, no clear directions or anyone from the hotel managing the line up of cars. People honking in the line as if there was somehere we could go. The entry way was blocked by parked cars. When we finally made it to the valet station, we were ignored. We pulled our own bags out of the car and tracked down a valet to hand our keys to. Upon entry no one to greet you or provide any direction. We went up the escalator and had to walk through a bar to reach a desk that is not clealy marked as a check in counter. There was one person in line who took a lot of time but was not checking in. Check in was quick and easy. We arrived to our" deluxe corner" room which was dated and shockingly dirty. If this were a different hotel chain I would not be complaining, but this is a Fairmont. This room has brown and red splatter on walls, floors, ceilings and sink. There are so many stains throughout I can't imagine what has happened in this room. I would not give this room to anyone even if it was the last room available. Disappointed especially for spending over $600 to ensure a higher quality hotel. This does not meet the standard I have come to know from Fairmount.
- 2/5
Ive got an hour and a half into trying to order food with no food to show for it.
- 5/5
The pool and hot tub area was amazing. The beauty of the historic property and all the pictures were fun to look at. The bar area was very cool and cocktails, though expensive, were delicious! Shuckers restaurant was great! Easy walk to Pike's place market!
- 4/5
The service was fantastic especially the doormen and valet. Unfortunately the check-in process was slow, with a line stretching at least ten deep and only two persons able to check you in. The property itself is vast given its age, but it needs some modern upgrades. Firstly the elevators are slow and not as spacious inside. The escalator from the main entrance to the lobby was also down. Finally in our room (Deluxe King, I believe) it lacks a lot of modern amenities you should expect in a five star hotel including USB ports at the desk, plug ins at the bedside, automatic blinds and curtains, walk-in shower, slippers, long time to get hot water for the tub, to name a few. The hand lotion bottle was also not refilled. I believe everything could be achieved with some Reno’s while also maintaining the charm, look, and aesthetic of this iconic building. Overall I would not go back until the above is addressed to put it on par with other five star properties I have experienced. At the price I paid, you can get far better elsewhere.
- 5/5
This hotel is beautiful. Very cool bar area. The junior suite was extremely spacious. Comfortable sitting!
- 4/5
Thin windows, easily hear sirens and racing cars in the middle of the night. $15 charge to rent a microwave instead of providing one in a common space to heat some food.
- 2/5
The lobby is truly lovely, and the location of the hotel is fabulous. We didn’t spring for the $1600/night room— so maybe we deserved it… but we did pay 450 and I figured we couldn’t go wrong at this property. The beds were positively tiny. We are a family of four and so each of us sleeping with one of our kids who are both under six was OK but these beds are not fulls— they are smaller than that. They seem like XL twins perhaps? The worst part about the room was when you open the door you were positively bowled over by the smell of mildew. It was nauseating. Typically when a smell is a little bit off after a while you get used to it- not the case in this instance. Even after hours in the room, I would wake up in the middle of the night realizing once again how overwhelming the mildew smell was. Do not stay in the cheap rooms if you stay at this hotel. Also, we really stayed at this hotel because of the pool and hot tub and the high reviews it gets. We were underwhelmed to say the least. There was no attendant that I saw the three times we were at the pool. The floors were dirty and sopping wet and the chairs look like each of them have been sat in hundreds of thousands of times. Most of the towels that we used were thread bare. The hot tub was large and a good temperature. My kids had a great time in both the pool and the hot tub. I will not be back and I will not recommend this accommodation.
- 2/5
Check in took a long time due to a group ahead of us. Room was small and carpet needed cleaning, cobwebs above the bed, no bathroom fan, lotion and shower gel ran out, someone else’s hair in the bed and reception always busy when we went to discuss. Overall overpriced ‘mid’ experience. We will go to the Four Seasons next time. Facilities were small but sufficient but steps by the pool and hot tub were dirty.
- 5/5
When in Seattle Fairmont Olympic Hotel will always be first choice
- 5/5
Service and cleanliness top notch
- 4/5
Street noises
- 5/5
Beautiful building
- 5/5
Lovely hotel with nice large room; easy priority check-in; requested an early check-in for health reasons via online portal and even though the hotel was completely sold out, they were able to comply with this request. Concierge service was superb. High level of service everywhere. Would highly recommend.
- 4/5
Great hotel and location, nice pool and adjacent coffee shop was excellent.
- 5/5
Amazing and friendly staff. Great location close to light rail. Overall great.
- 5/5
Great stay!
- 5/5
Great place, historic and charming. Fantastic staff
- 5/5
Food and drinks in the lobby bar were great. Check-in and hotel parking situation was less than ideal.
- 4/5
Wait times were excessive. Breakfast at George waiter very inattentive. Bagel and English muffin were hard as a rock… inedible
- 5/5
The hotel was very clean and the staff were very welcoming. The hotel was conveniently located near many area attractions.
- 5/5
great location
- 5/5
Beautiful bar
- 5/5
The staff were very friendly and took a genuine interest in the customer’s well being. The food was top notch and the room very comfortable. Also loved the decor and the way the public places and rooms were decorated. Beautiful bathroom. Everything was thought of and provided for to make the customer as comfortable as possible. Thank you!
- 5/5
Cant talk to a real person to get help with our bags when we left, otherwise, a lovely hotel
- 3/5
There was a delay in the room availability beyond check in time. Then, when we received a room and keycard, we discovered when we tried to use the key that another guest was in the room! This was very embarrassing and it took 30 more minutes waiting downstairs before it was straightened out - and I jumped the long line or it would have taken longer. The manager was very apologetic and gave us a generous credit to use for food at the hotel but it was one the the worst experiences that I have had at a hotel and I travel a lot. The room - when we got to it- was nice.
- 5/5
Spacious, modern bedrooms and bathroom. Breakfast in The George was outstanding. Attention to the details from cocktails to bath products, to service was amazing. If you want luxury with a touch of old world glamour, this is your hotel.
- 3/5
Great service. Room was mediocre for the price Coffee pods were bad.
- 2/5
Car got broken into at the Olympic parkade. No camera's and lost passport and many other items. Wasn't even able to get a free room for the night at it was around midnight. Could never stay here again and feel safe.
- 5/5
A nice historic masterpiece
- 3/5
The location is amazing and the bar/reception area were wonderful.
- 5/5
The perfect hotel and location.
- 5/5
Wonderful place to stay.
- 5/5
Checkin was efficient and quick. Valet parking busy but professional and customer service focused. Rooms were great. High tea was really fun. Overall a great stay!
- 5/5
We really enjoyed our stay, the staff was over the top accommodating, letting us check in early and storing out luggage at checkout so we could take in the city. The pool and health club was terrific. Not one negative thing about our stay. We will return!
- 5/5
Truly one of the most quiet rooms I have ever stayed in. Did not hear neighboring doors or noise from other rooms loved the breakfast cafe downstairs and the bar. They seemed short staffed in all service areas - especially the bar and breakfast cafe, however, the staff running wild trying to keep up where were pleasant and helpful at all times. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here.
- 5/5
Excellent
- 5/5
Staff is all very nice and accommodating. They went out of their way to help with any requests.
- 5/5
Classy, first-class property. Decent value, cool speak-easy.
- 3/5
I don't like hidden fees. And my room had no water.
- 5/5
One of the best hotels we have ever stayed at!
- 5/5
This place was beyond my expectations
- 5/5
The property was great. After 5 pm the area was not so great. Most everything was closed.
- 4/5
The hotel is physically beautiful. The room was comfortable, but the bathroom was a bit small for two people to use. In addition, the noise from outside was bothersome. Also, the dining options in the hotel were limited and extremely expensive. A basic breakfast, for example, of two eggs with the typical accoutrements was $33.
- 4/5
The extra $33 a day fee is a lot if you aren’t using the amenities. The hot tub is ages 5 and up so filled with kids.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel in a convenient location. Walkable to all downtown sites and the ballpark.
- 5/5
Room was very nice, my wife liked the spa. I liked the gum and bar
- 4/5
Location
- 5/5
perfection
- 2/5
If your traveling -: everyone there is ..you need consistency with meals. And ability to eat when it's convenient for you. Not the staff. For thousands of dollars, this was lacking.
- 5/5
Great property and great service!
- 5/5
Super experience throughout. Staff was very helpful and attentive, and everything was clean and appealing. Olympic Bar is a great experience for a drink or a meal. If I had any complaints, finding bottled water and coffee before 6 AM is challenging, both in the hotel and in the surrounding area. But that can feel planned around if you know in advance.
- 4/5
I was so excited to stay in my first Fairmont hotel. The building itself is beautiful, full of amazing architecture, marble and woodwork. The staff was amazing as was Shuckers, we ate there 3 nights in a row due to great food and convenience. On the downside, the minibar was never restocked between guests so we were charged quite a bit of money for things we did not drink. Additionally, the previous guest left items in the fridge which were not sanitary. A few interactions with the front desk got things sorted and the charges were removed. The rooms themselves are a bit worn, but comfortable (the bed was great!). Thank you!
