Reviews
The MarQueen Hotel is a historic building with a unique charm, appreciated by many guests. The staff is consistently praised for their friendliness and helpfulness. However, the hotel's age results in some common complaints about outdated facilities, noise, and cleanliness issues.

The staff at the reception were amazing. Room was so spacious and very close to local amenities. None

I love the Marqueen Hotel, elegant charm with modern amenities.

The hotel is classy and the staff, excellent! Loved all but the parking!!! The parking could be a game changer in future visits They offer valet, parking, but charge $50.00 to do so. Parking lots are blocks away, or, if you are fortunate, you can pay every 2 hours for the 4-5 spaces in front of the hotel. I guess my thought is, with the obvious basic need of parking, it should be included in the stay.
- 5/5
Lovely quaint hotel with lots of dining options nearby. Also close to Space Needle and monorail. The staff were all incredibly helpful and friendly. Every single one! I would stay here again. One note is that there is no elevator so the valet carried our bags up and down. Snacks provided in the evening were appreciated!
- 5/5
The staff was so attentive and so accommodating. I strongly recommend people to check this place out.

Old but refurbished. Pleasant staff. Steps leading up were uneven. No elevator. Clean with comfortable beds.

Charm Nothing

Love the attached bar and coffee shop. Convenient location and very kind staff. Please keep in mind there aren’t elevators and stairs to enter the hotel because it’s a historical property
- 5/5
Great experience. Very nice staff.
- 5/5
Gorgeous historic hotel with beautiful, huge rooms. Comfy beds. The only downside is there is no elevator, but they have staff on hand to carry your bags up/down.
- 5/5
What a beautiful old building, redesigned to accommodate all us travellers. Only here for a day for work but what a lovely place. History is firstly pretty cool and then the building and design is great. Following on from that it’s far enough out but close enough to be in of all those places you could easily walk too. The docks are a taxi/uber ride but everything else is so accessible. The staff were so helpful and nice it’s got a cocktail bar and a breakfast cafe. Felt special to be a guest.
- 5/5
This was a great location. We loved the nostalgic look and feel. Close to the space needle and loved the insight food options. We used the valet parking. It was a little pricey but kept the car safe. Very friendly staff. No complaints

Hotel was comfortable and looks great. It’s in a good location out of the centre with plenty of places to eat nearby. Hotel isn’t servicing room everyday, which is fine and we were made aware of this. But when they did do it, they didn’t actually refill anything - coffee / shower gel etc. Not the end of the world but service didn’t quite match other places. There is a bar attached to the hotel which looks great but unfortunately it was full when we tried to go, so we were told to come back.
- 4/5
Very nice hotel. Staff was super friendly and very helpful. We only booked a room for one night. The only drawback was that there's no elevator, however, the staff assisted us with our luggage to the third floor. The rooms were very clean and the bed was comfortable. If you are not used to living in the city then the sirens at night might be a slight nuisance.
- 5/5
Was a very cute and well maintained property. Older Hotel but really neat place
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel. Staff was friendly and accommodating.
- 4.5/5
Really nice old property with a lot of history friendly staff who were very helpful location was good for the space needle and parks and pier 91 Needs to be clearer about what amenities you get and what you are paying for
- 5/5
This is such a special property, offering a truly unique Seattle experience. The rooms are a great size, beautifully decorated - I particularly enjoyed the eclectic collection of art and prints throughout. But there's so many lovely touches, like the welcome cookies in the lobby at check in (we could not get enough!). It's also an ideal location, just a short walk from the Chihuly Gardens and Space Needle. Staff were great throughout too, and make sure to grab a tipple at Tin Lizzie! A more expansive food menu and later closing at the bar wouldn't go amiss. Also the wardrobe space in our room with an exposed bulb and a few sad hangers felt a bit of an afterthought when everything else was so beautifully decorated. But I'm nitpicking here!

Very nice hotel. But off the beaten path but worth it. Great restaurant across the street.
- 5/5
I usually stay downtown but had breakfast meeting in Queen Anne so tried this. Very pleasant surprise. Will be back.

Decent stay with good sized rooms. Hot water was lacking and there were some dirty towels left in our room. Overall good location and value

Amazing staff
- 5/5
The staff was wonderful and very helpful, very close to the space needle and only a short ride to the cruise ship port.

Local cafe had a great breakfast. Great location. To keep with the character of the hotel there was no elevator.

No complains.
- 4/5
We didn’t take advantage of the bar/restaurant but what a beautiful place. I will say the smell was weird. Like old wet carpet. The staff were so stinking nice. The gentleman that parked our car what so professional. The $25 credit they give us to spend in the hotel was a perk.
- 4.5/5
Beautifully appointed hotel with a mix of old with new. Our room was very clean and they allowed us to check in early for a small fee. Our only complaints were the room we had was very dark and the lamps and lighting were either annoying (overhead) or too low of light. The window looked out to a building that was very close so it let in very little light. The floors were also very squeaky but understandable for an old building. The front desk staff along with the porters were very friendly and helpful. We loved the little bar for happy hour cocktails - very quaint and cozy! The hotel was within walking distance of most of the best sights of Seattle. Lighting in our room.

Good location. Small bathroom. No elevator. Thin walls, noise travels.
- 5/5
We liked the historic feel of the hotel, the staff was super friendly and we enjoyed this. All though there was coffee in the room, all we can recommend is maybe coffee in the lobby as well already made, as we were on a tight time frame and didn’t have time to utilize ours in room. We would stay here again.
- 4/5
Location. Nice renovated space for an older building. In my room there was a mirror with an obvious space below that let light in. Do not know where that light was coming from.

The smell of the hotel is bad, and the elevators were broken
- 5/5
This hotel was like stepping back in time to an elegant home. Gorgeous architecture and beautiful furnishings! Please be advised there isn’t an elevator due to the age of the hotel.
- 5/5
Nice .. close to everything . Walking distance
- 5/5
Everything about our stay was wonderful the staff, the location, the cleanliness and the amenities. I cannot say enough good things about the MarQueen Hotel. The staff was absolutely fantastic. Thank you for making our trip to Seattle such a memorable experience!
- 2/5
No elevator, phone in room doesn't work, old dirty and run down
- 5/5
Our stay at the MarQueen Hotel was lovely. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel room was a good size and the decor was lovely and reminiscent of the hotel’s heritage from 1918. Overall, our stay here was a great experience. Great location for pre-cruise stay, and the cruise terminal is only 10 minutes away.
- 4/5
Parking is expensive, but the hotel is great. Wonderful historic building and super comfortable bed.
- 5/5
It was a wonderful getaway. We enjoyed it
- 5/5
It is an older hotel, the rooms were quiet and clean. An excellent market nearby, also a pharmacy for anything you forgot. The staff very helpful. Would definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
kind and friendly staff
- 5/5
Bottom line, if your on the fence about going to this hotel, just do it. You won't be disappointed
- 5/5
We didn't have a car but they offer valet parking. Classic Hotel offering modern amenities. Clean and comfortable and the price and location can not be beat. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Many Seattle sites are within walking distance as well as places to eat. If you are planning a Seattle vist, look no further.
- 5/5
Super clean! Amazing and very helpful staff!!
- 5/5
Everyone was very nice the only thing is they definitely need an elevator.
- 5/5
It's definitely an older building, but very beautiful. This hotel has a lot of personality, which I loved. The staff were very welcoming and the door was always opened for me. They even had fresh baked little cookies for you at the check-in counter. It's also nice that they gave us $25 in credit towards the little lounge/bar that was attached to the property. Just a note - there is no elevator, but shouldn't be a problem as they'll help you carry your bags upstairs if needed.
- 5/5
Loved this place, and will not hesitate to rebook. Hope to stay longer next time!
- 5/5
As an older building there is no lift but we were helped with our bags. Convenient location. Would recommend to anyone staying in the Queen Anne area.
- 5/5
What a fantastic way to start our week long cruise to Alaska. VERY spacious room, charming, comfortable and clean. Staff is OUTSTANDING. Proximity to attractions and downtown a plus. Hotel arranged for our transportation to/from airport and cruise ship. Affordable too! Will stay here again.
- 2/5
The wait staff barged in room without notification. Front desk wasnt apole
- 5/5
Amazing place
- 5/5
Being an older building, the floors creak a bit, and we did hear a loud mechanical noise at night (possibly the AC system), but it didn’t ruin the experience at all. The room was spotless, the towels were high quality, and they provided plenty of toiletries. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The highlight, however, was the location! We didn't know Seattle well and got so lucky staying in this neighborhood. It’s mostly residential, so street parking was easy—saving us $50 a night in parking fees! There’s a CVS and a grocery store nearby, and Mecca Cafe (just 50m away) is a must for breakfast; we went three days in a row! Plus, the most iconic view of the Seattle skyline and Mt. Rainier is just a 5-minute drive uphill. We absolutely fell in love with this place!
- 5/5
Best value hotel in Seattle area
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
Staff was exceptional. Drinks at the bar wonderful. Upon arrival they greet you and carry your luggage. Coffee shop is great.room was very clean. Loved the shower. They have the best shampoo and body wash. Highly recommend this hotel.

- 5/5
You must use the credit Tuesday to Saturday if you want to use it for dining.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel, beautiful spacious suite, location is superb and the staff is extremely friendly and welcoming!
- 5/5
Very clean, efficient boutique hotel. Definitely recommend if staying in the area, very walkable and easy to use public transit.
- 4/5
A bonus to the room would be a nightlight in the bathroom. The switch was outside the bathroom so you’d have to turn it on before stepping in, illuminating the room, which can be annoying in the middle of the night. Overall, a great quick stay and close to lots of amenities and attractions.
- 1/5
No elevator at all. If you're not on the first floor you lug your bags up flights of steps. They charge you $25 amenities fee for things you don't use or want. And if you want the shuttle to the port it's an additional $20 charge. Avoid this property.
- 4/5
Very cool, historic building. Great details in the room. Loved the bathroom tile and wood floors. Nice bed and linens. Check in and out was a bit clunky. But a wonderful hotel. Watch out - no elevator. Carrying bags up the stairs wasn’t fun.
- 5/5
Great unique hotel. Large comfy rooms. Very friendly staff. Lots of convienent places to eat. Definitely will stay here again.
- 3/5
Property is adequate
- 5/5
Lovely stay with a vintage charm. I was even upgraded and had a very spacious room! Would recommend!
- 5/5
Staff was great, no elevators but i think it adds more to the retro atmosphere. The bar is very relaxing too.
- 2/5
Parking is terrible because it’s downtown and expensive, you don’t even know where your car is parked here though. They have no elevator, no amenities, if you want water you have to bring a water bottle or go downstairs every time you want a drink. Did I mention no elevator? Also the loudest room ever, we stayed on bourbon street and it wasn’t nearly this noisy.
- 5/5
Service was fair, not over the top but not terrible either. Over the top would be if their door person and front desk stall made intentional greeting to guest as they left or came back. Depending on who was working you could get that or the door person and desk staff engaged in their own conversation. It has a pretty decent restaurant attached and its location in lower Queen Anne is perfect with a Safeway, CVS and a few good restaurants all within walking distance. If you have a car. Parking is moderately difficult to find by the hotel, but there is paid parking lots that can be used nearby. Bottom line is, off season good rates, high, up to $300/night. If you like quirky this is a good one
- 5/5
Great location, super cute property, amazing staff in the lounge!
- 5/5
A gem. Perfect location, lovely vintage decor, great cocktail bar, wonderful staff. Our go-to for Seattle trips from now on
- 4/5
Great stay. Clean and cool old styled rooms. Hallway was a lil loud but other than that it was nice. I’d stay there again for sure. Go Knights Go!
- 5/5
A beautiful historic hotel beautiful restored. The room was comfortable and spacious. While the bathroom was small there was plenty of surface space which can sometimes be overlooked in hotel rooms. There is a fantastic restaurant, Toulouse, across the street the offers brunch and late night dining even on week days. The absolute best part though was the wonderful, friendly staff. The gentleman who works as doorman, valet, bell hop was a throwback to a time of gentile hospitality that really completed the historic vibes. I’d go again just for him!
- 3/5
The hotel was nice and location was great. There was construction during our entire stay with drilling going on and our windows shaking as early as 5 AM for hours. As our result, our stay wasn’t ideal.
- 5/5
The building was amazing! It had such a historic feel and was conveniently located near cafes and other food options. It was also near many points of interest, within Seattle. The staff was all very friendly. I would stay here again, if I came back to Seattle.
- 5/5
Very friendly staff, amazing atmosphere full of charm, clean, quiet and comforable. Close to any and everything you need.
- 5/5
Cool boutique hotel. Great neighborhood for restaurants within walking distance. No elevator no self parking. Street parking is tricky but doable. Would stay again.
- 5/5
Staff were great. Valet parking was convenient. Room was great!
- 5/5
Staff was helpful without being untidy intrusive.
- 5/5
I did not have a car. I did not visit the bar.
- 5/5
awesome!
- 5/5
Great place
- 4/5
Beautifully renovated hotel, great neighborhood and lovely staff. Generally the property is quiet, but the hallways are loud and when rowdy guests returned at 2am, slamming doors and shouting, we heard everything. It was like being in a frat house!
- 5/5
Great location, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable large roomz
- 5/5
The room was cleaned, and everything was well kept up for being an older building.
- 5/5
Parking was good at the hotel (arranged by the bellman) and hotel was great to stay at.
- 5/5
Great room quiet for the most part just noisy when piping from other rooms are used.
- 5/5
There’s no elevator, it didn’t bother us - we were offered help with our bags at check-in and out. Great location. This may be my new Seattle hotel.
- 5/5
Parking was difficult for us because we had a large truck. The staff were so helpful and tried their best to accommodate us. Without their help we wouldn’t have been able to enjoy our trip as much. The room was clean and had lots of charm.
- 3/5
Random garbage in multiple places in room, loud hvac, I asked for late checkout and they laughed. Made the rooms smaller - used to be my favorite spot and I don’t think I’ll stay there again.
- 5/5
Fantastic place. Amazingly friendly and helpful staff. Coot atmosphere. On site cafe has wonderful coffee & pastries. The bar is super cool, although strangely, and this is my sole complaint -- and it is strong complaint - the bar shuts down at 9pm - promptly-- even on weekend nights!! It's a great bar but I rarely got a chance to enjoy it. Seriously, folks...9pm!! You have to change that. Otherwise, this hotel is a unique gem, staffed with extremely friendly and helpful people. Love it. (please keep the bar open past sunset)
- 5/5
This is the cutest little hotel, staff was super friendly and we had an awesome stay! It is a 5 min walk to Climate Pledge Arena which was super convenient
- 5/5
Was able to check in a little early. Enjoyed a beverage at Tin Lizzie. Would stay here again.
- 5/5
Super adorable historic stay. We loved all the preserved history and the little details throughout the hotel. Even the scent had that charming antique feel. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Our room was perfec, I truly had zero complaints.
- 4/5
Staff was Exceptional!!!
- 4/5
Room was beautiful and clean. The only thing I was disappointed in is the ability to valet my vehicle. I was told it was too large and was left trying to find a place to leave my car overnight that was safe and didn’t cost a fortune. I would suggest finding a larger lot there because that was extremely inconvenient. Other than that the staff was very friendly and the rooms had what you needed. The bed was very comfortable too.
- 5/5
Great location for Climate Pledge.
- 5/5
Loved the vintage air of the room, it was so spacious and the bed was super comfortable
- 5/5
Beautiful Hotel and great staff. The Lizzy bar was really cool and had amazing cocktails. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby.
- 5/5
Great location, cute vibe, nice staff
- 5/5
Wonderful service, especially Jeremiah and Andrew. Beautiful room (King) and appreciated having a kettle and mini fridge. It’s a historical building with hardwood floors, bring slippers for comfort. Great location in town and a lovely spot to stay.
- 5/5
Room was so clean they were so helpful and most importantly so kind and easy to talk to! Went for a concert at climate pledge and the location was perfect cute shops found parking easy and loved the style of the whole place!
- 5/5
Fabulous staff and room.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel! Friendly staff, valet parking was simple and the lounge was delicious! We will definitely stay there again.
- 4/5
The room I would say like 8/10. I would give it 10 stars but there was a few things that could be better. There’s no elevator, I’m not sure if that’s in the hotel information but if I missed that part my bad. the floor in our room was really squeaky and the shower has no door so it’s a pretty chilly showering.
- 5/5
The rooms have been updated beautifully. The staff was totally on our side. We went for the Seahawk parade. They accommodated us by holding our luggage till after and letting us keep our car in valet. I give them 10 stars out of five.
- 5/5
Great hotel. Staff super friendly, clean rooms, large room, and love the history.
- 5/5
Beautiful renovation to this historic hotel. Staff was excellent.
- 5/5
Amazing room and service
- 2/5
What I did not care for was the preposterous $25 mandatory fee that is charged in addition to the room charge. Seems like a nickel and dime scheme. You pay $140 for a room and upon check out you have to pay a $25 "amenity" fee which includes bottled water that was never offered, in-room coffee, use of their wi-fi, use of their rotary phone, baked cookies in the lobby (if you are lucky to get any.) Amenities fees designed to enhance your overall experience "they say." Aren't these fees standard to a hotel stay? On Expedia it says under the room "free wi-fi" but yet it is part of the mandatory fee. Add the fee to the room amount and don't make me fee like you are nickel and diming me. It really rubbed me the wrong way. Maybe that is the way Seattle is, but I won't be staying there again! Find another hotel.
- 5/5
I loved everything about this hotel! The staff is very friendly and helpful and the hotel is beautiful!
- 5/5
Honestly, this was one of the best stays we have had in Seattle. Such an adorable building with great rooms. The staff was excellent and so friendly. Every single person we came in contact with was helpful and genuinely kind. We will absolutely be staying here again in the future!
- 4/5
Hotel was beautiful and the room was very comfortable. Expedia gave us free valet parking and the checking in and out process was a breeze.
- 5/5
It was a lovely stay!! Even though it was a short stay…the staff was friendly and welcoming, the property has been completely remodeled so the rooms were very clean and spacious. However, what I loved even more was the location. If you want to be by the Space Needle this is definitely the place to stay!
- 5/5
It was a beautiful hotel with a very comfy bed. Would highly recommend!
- 5/5
Very nice historical hotel. The staff was great.
- 5/5
The staff was very nice and helpful
- 5/5
Fantastic staff, room was nice and clean. Great location.
- 5/5
This is a cool hotel, very historic. The room was clean and beautiful, love the tile in the bathroom and the squeaky floors. We got confused on where to park but the hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We definitely would stay here again.
- 5/5
Great hotel stay for New Year’s Eve . The staff was welcoming and accommodating and the room was beautiful.
- 5/5
I loved this place! Both the morning and night staff were awesome; I personally loved the old, retro turn of the cenruary hotel feel, totally renovated, the beds are super soft, the place itself was by a lot of cool bars and places to eat and close enough to a lot! Oh super pet-friendly place too. Will stay again since I plan on coming to Seattle a lot more.
- 5/5
The room was beautiful, love the decor. Friendly staff. Great area!
- 5/5
Lovely hotel, built in 1918, the recently remodeled rooms are even more delightful than the last time we were there. Love the staff, front desk and valet were incredibly friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
This historic building has beautifully updated interiors, so cozy and charming. The front desk staff was so warm and welcoming. A perfect spot to tuck in before and after a fun event at Climate Pledge Arena.
- 5/5
Staff are very friendly and helpful
- 2/5
Accidents happen, but to not own up to it is another level of disappointment. It's a lesson for all to not be trusting, take pictures before and after and hopefully you'll get staff with integrity.
- 5/5
Love this hotel - solid wood furniture, nice room decor, kind staff.
- 5/5
Thanks.
- 5/5
The hotel in general is a well-preserved piece of history. The vintage feel is wonderful. The rooms were spotless and bed so very comfortable. Amenities are nice and the area is full of places to dine. Extremely easy access to Climate Pledge was perfect. And the staff....AMAZING. Everyone from the valet to the front desk attendants were so very welcoming and pleasant. I'll definitely be staying again; hopefully soon!
- 5/5
This place is fantastic. Beautiful original decoration and feel of the 20s we loved it. Can't wait to stay again and take friends

Truly a great hotel for those that have been to the Seattle area before but want a new more local atmosphere! The rooms are HUGE and make you feel like you have your own apartment within this fabulous 1920s era building. Would recommend to anyone traveling to Seattle.
- 5/5
What a great stay !! The sister of the State Hotel didn't disappoint. The remodel is great and the staff make it even more amazing.
- 5/5
Clean room. Air conditioning was excellent. We use the valet service and they were very courteous
- 5/5
loved the place...would stay there again
- 5/5
We thought the hotel and staff were lovely. We had a negative interaction with the barista at the coffee down the hall on the lobby floor, so we won’t be returning there, but thought the hotel was just great and can’t wait to return. Thank you
- 5/5
The staff were absolutely delightful. The rooms were large but cozy.
- 5/5
This was a unique historic hotel with a comfortable bed and very friendly staff.

Historic property with modern benefits! Close to Climate Pledge Arena with tons of food options for before and after the show!!
- 4/5
Hotel in a really good spot for the Space niddle and POP museum.
- 5/5
Was a very clean spacious room. Right next to the Climate Pledge Arena, was only a 7 minute walk to our concert. Very cute aesthetic, and had a coffee spot and lounge right beside the hotel. There was also a CVS right on the corner by us, and a park within walking distance to walk and potty my dog. Very nice hotel that I would gladly stay at again!
- 5/5
Wonderful 1918 building! Stay was perfect!
- 5/5
Clean property amazing staff convenient location
- 5/5
Old style charm. This place is just gorgeous. Rooms are updated with higher end toiletries. Highly recommend! About ten min walk to Space Needle.
- 5/5
The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The room was clean and well appointed. Very comfortable beds.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel, we stayed during a late summer heatwave and were very happy to have a/c.
- 5/5
We loved this hotel from price, comfort to customer service it was amazing!!
- 4/5
Concerns about the mirror with the huge gap under it like it was a door to the next room. Very hot room even with AC going. Staff was amazing and we appreciated the VIP benefit of free valet parking. Very comfortable bed and lovely washroom. Love the paint colour in the room!

Rooms were spacious and well-kempt. Close to great dining options. Close to Climate-Pledge Arena and the Space Needle

Historic yet elegant

--- ## ★★★★★ A Charming Piece of History in a Great Location! My stay at the **MarQueen Hotel** was absolutely fantastic. This hotel offers a truly unique experience that you simply can't get at a modern chain. The hotel itself is stunning—the architecture and ambiance of the circa-1918 building are beautifully preserved, giving the property a genuine, historical charm. My room, which was an old-school quarter with a handy kitchenette, was spacious, incredibly comfortable, and had so much more character than a typical hotel room. The location is ideal, putting me right in the middle of a vibrant area with easy access to everything. A huge bonus was the speakeasy-style bar downstairs; it was the perfect place to unwind with a classic cocktail. If you are looking for a hotel with personality, history, and a touch of vintage elegance, the MarQueen is the place to be. I highly recommend it and can't wait to return! http://googleusercontent.com/hotel_content/0

I want to stay here every time I come to Seattle. The staff was AMAZING. The lovely doorman helped us park our car as I am parking challenged. The staff were so sweet and calming. The whole experience was seamless. The room was OUTSTANDING. Cute old timey vibes. Overall, will definitely be staying here again.
- 5/5
The arena was within walking distance. The hotel room was spacious, the bed very comfortable and the staff were really friendly and helpful with finding places to eat. The food in the area was great and reasonable Love love love this hotel.
- 5/5
So great! Rooms are amazing. Comfortable and clean, stylish and cozy. Loved it! Will absolutely be back.
- 5/5
The hotel is great but the staff is exceptional.
- 5/5
Beautiful, large, clean room. Great staff. Good location, reasonably priced for Seattle. Would definitely stay here when in Seattle again.

Good
- 5/5
Lots of dining options and onsite coffee shop that was very good.
- 5/5
We loved our stay at this historic hotel. The lobby was wonderfully decorated, the room was huge and so cool and the staff was top notch. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommended it to those looking to stay in the area.
- 5/5
All of the staff were fantastic! The location was superb for anyone attending a concert at Climate Pledge Arena.
- 4/5
The staff is friendly (except bar) but hotel offers little in the way of amenities. Parking is either “find your own on street” or $40+tax per day valet. The room itself was spacious and beds were excellent.
- 4/5
Very nostalgic and classic feel, beautiful 1920’s look and feel inside! We stayed in room 302 and the AC unit froze up and has some obvious issues evidenced by the towels that were already placed underneath. Would’ve been a bad stay in the summer. Other than that, was a terrific stay, delightful staff and convenient area.
- 5/5
Room was very clean and staff was friendly. Loved the fresh cookie greeting, nice touch. Great old place.
- 5/5
The historical significance.
- 5/5
Good atmosphere. Fun concept of the prohibition era. Nice staff.
- 5/5
Great staff. Beautiful hotel.
- 5/5
Great, friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful hotel. Highly recommended!
- 5/5
Great location for Bumbershoot weekend. Right across the street from the lovely Toulouse Petit for meals and Mercer Street Books for fun reading options.
- 5/5
Great experience from check-in to check-out, Staff is extremely courteous at all times especially the gal who works evenings, and they were great with our pup.
- 5/5
Very comfortable stay. The only con is the stairs for people with walking restrictions
- 5/5
Would stay there again. Staff is amazing! Close to a few bars and across the street is an amazing restaurant. Dicks is 1 block down.
- 5/5
Charming hotel! The 20’s vibe was so cool! The room was beautiful and the staff was wonderful. I will definitely stay again.
- 5/5
They were amazing to us before we went on iur cruise
- 5/5
We love this place -- our 4th trip. Recent upgrades and improvements make it all the more fun. Great bar and great cafe attached. Super friendly staff. Kind of idiosyncratic experience - very casual, yet somewhat elegant. Will remain our go-to place when whenever we visit Seattle.
- 5/5
The whole place has a sort of old hotel vibe from the 50s and the location is very convenient. The room was clean, air conditioned, and fairly roomy. The only issue would be parking, if it wasnt for the vallet I would have no idea where I was suppose to park.
- 5/5
14 mins walk to Space Needle area. Staff were helpful. Tin Lizzie bar had nice food a easy listening live music.
- 4/5
Clean hotel. Short walk to pier
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel! Great location for Climate Pledge events. Great food options within the block.
- 5/5
We had a peaceful and relaxing stay. The room was quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. The atmosphere was relaxing and elegant. Kennady (reception) was so pleasant and helpful. There are a variety of restaurants within walking distance. We definitely would stay here again.
- 5/5
Staffs are friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
The wife and I would definitely stay there again
- 5/5
All of the staff were very kind and helpful. They provided directions to Pike Place via public transportation and recommended dining options.
- 5/5
Wonderfully restored hotel close to bars, restaurants and music venues. Would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Love staying at these historic sites. Staff was very kind and helpful.
- 5/5
This is a vintage place to stay in the city, convenient yet quiet. Nice dining options right around the corner. Easy walk to the hilltop park. Great staff and service.
- 5/5
Thank you:)
- 5/5
Loved the historic quality of the hotel and everyone we encountered was very kind and accommodating
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay in our updated suite. The location was perfect for our activities and we love the Queen Anne neighborhood. The bed was very comfortable and our room overlooking the street was very quiet. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We had a wonderful stay!
- 5/5
I booked my room through Expedia and ended up with the accessible room, which was immediately to the left from the lobby, but I did not hear a thing. We managed to get our room early, which was great so we could have time to relax before our concert. The only reason why I pick this hotel was because it was walking distance to Climate Pledge Arena. The coffee makers in the room are actually a hot water kettle and the coffee came in packages. It was not very good. I would’ve preferred an actual coffee maker. We did have a fridge in our room which kept our drinks cold. There is a little pub attached. I’m not sure if they serve food, but there is a lot of things within walking distance. If the price was cheaper, I would stay here again just for how close it is to the action.
- 5/5
Very nice with a lot of food and entertainment options within walking distance.
- 5/5
Really nice staff, great location, and classy room.
- 5/5
We had a wonderful stay at the MarQueen Hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived, making us feel right at home. Our room was surprisingly large, clean, and very comfortable — a rare find in the city. The location is perfect, just a short walk to Climate Pledge Arena, which made getting to our event easy and stress-free. We’ll definitely be staying here again on our next visit!
- 5/5
Just had a one night stay here for a concert at Climate Pledge Arena. Location was perfect for that. The hotel is in a cool, old historic building. The amenities are all very nice. Probably the best thing at the hotel is the staff. Everyone was helpful and engaging.
- 5/5
Pleasantly surprised!
- 5/5
Amazing hotel. Large spacious, comfortable rooms. Great location!
- 5/5
Really charming property with wonderful staff
- 5/5
Great customer SERVICE 👌
- 5/5
The hotel is a great historical building that had been nicely renovated with modern conveniences yet still maintains the nostalgic charm.
- 3/5
Bed was very comfortable! I was on Level One so no view and had to keep curtains closed to sidewalk and street. There were extra surprise fees which was ridiculous with how expensive it already was. Shower only had hot and very hot water. Had to report this. Staff were friendly. Parking was spendy but convenient. But there were lots nearby that were much less expensive. Very close to Seattle Center! Neighborhood was only so-so. Not a lot to recommend. Nearby coffee shops and pastries were surprisingly disappointing.
- 5/5
Large comfortable room and bathroom with great shower. Staff were friendly & helpful. Building has an interesting history that is incorporated into the decor. Location of hotel made it easy to walk to Climate Pledge Arena & the Seattle Center. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, & shops in the surrounding neighborhood. Entrance of the hotel is on busy Queen Anne Avenue North with very little room to park to check-in and for valet parking. Also, the hotel doesn’t have an elevator. Request a room on lower floors if you have difficulty with stairs. I enjoyed my stay here and would definitely stay at The MarQueen in the future.
- 5/5
Loved our stay. will definitely be back.
- 5/5
Such a great overall experience the staff was so accommodating we arrived early (early flight) and were exhausted and hoping to check in early and we got right in I know that doesnt always happen but we were very happy we could snooze then explore the city ! And when we left i forgot some expensive medicine in the fridge the front desk called me and had it shuttled to me at the pier! Was getting ready to board a cruise ! The only negative thing is no elevator in this beautiful hotel so if you have heavy luggage kind of a pain but a nice bellhop helped thank goodness overall a great hotel lovely room very comfortable and spacious and the staff is AMAZING
- 5/5
The history, the big romm, the attached coffee shop.
- 4/5
The location is perfect for the climate pledge arena. However - there's no lift/elevator in this hotel - not even a ramp to the 1st floor. I didn't realize this when I booked. Fortunately I could walk to 3rd floor - but I wonder if others miss this as well. The listing should really put accessibility info at the top - but that's on expedia. I would also suggest that it should be prominently displayed on the hotel website as well - if it's not already there.
- 5/5
What a fun, unique property! We loved the speakeasy bar. The room was very spacious and the bed was super soft. The staff was great - Kennady was super helpful, from helping with valet, to checking us in, and bringing us a bucket of ice.
- 5/5
The location is an old historic hotel. Very nice inside and the best staff of any place we have stayed.
- 2/5
It is a gimmicky type of hotel, 1920's style. Parking is limited to valet or find something on the street, limited access to your car if use valet. Careful of hidden fees like pet and amenities.
- 5/5
Great historic building and close to MOPOP
- 5/5
Staff was great! Will stay again!
- 4/5
The hotel was nice but there's no elevator and they put us on the 3rd floor. They did help us carry our luggage up when we arrived but not when we left.
- 5/5
This was our first time staying at the Marquee Hotel and they did not disappoint!! The staff were kind, easygoing yet knowledgeable about the hotel, and the room was gorgeous!! Definitely want to stay there again!!!
- 4/5
Old quaint place. Just know there stairs no elevators. Beautiful 1918 historic building. Unique & romantic.
- 5/5
The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful!
- 5/5
Historic hotel in a cool neighborhood minutes away from the Seattle Center, and an easy walk to Belltown. My room was amazing and beautifully renovated. The staff made my stay especially memorable. Kelly and Andrew greeting me by name whenever I walked through the lobby. I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels in Seattle, and this one stands out for its friendly vibe and historic elegance. Great value, too!
- 5/5
Excellent! Front desk staff were wonderful, provided concierge arrangement to get to the cruise port. Just excellent, highly recommended!
- 3/5
Mixed review. Nice location in Queen Anne area. Huge room and bathroom. Hotel staff couldn’t have been nicer. Walls painted dark green. Shared wall with lobby so noisy in the evening. No elevator is not a joke. Price was extremely high but no flexibility on dates and walking distance to family.
- 4/5
It's an old building and no elevators and aircon is too loud.
- 4/5
Excellent staff and great old building! Room was good just a hike up the three flights with no elevator. Would stay again!
- 4/5
Hotel was good location for cruising out of Port 91 but area of town not the best and cost if hotel overpriced for what you get
- 5/5
Nice clean great place to stay in Seattle.
- 4/5
History is always a no brainer, and if I learn a little on the way it’s even better. Turns out back in 1918 the MarQueen was the Ford manufacturing plant in Seattle
- 5/5
Charming
- 5/5
Staff was kind and helpful, property was clean and unique. I love historical buildings and this is one. Keep in mind there is no elevator if you have mobility issues but they will carry your luggage up for you.
- 5/5
It was great
- 5/5
Friendly staff, beautiful throwback type of hotel but with modern amenities. Loved the vibe.
- 5/5
Beautiful historic building with era appropriate architecture and decor. Very friendly staff and walkable to CPA for events. Will be staying here again.
- 5/5
The staff truly made our stay even better — everyone we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and went out of their way to make sure we felt at home. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would highly recommend the MarQueen to anyone visiting Seattle. We can’t wait to come back!
- 5/5
Staff was attentive and very friendly - A+
- 5/5
The staff was exceptionally welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed our cocktails at the Tin Lizzie speakeasy, made by the very pleasant and knowledgeable mixologist. The location is very convenient to Seattle Center and SIFF. The remodel is lovely. Highly recommend this historic hotel!
- 4/5
Interesting historic. Was great except WI-FI out from 9 p.m. thru our checkout time. Never resolved.
- 5/5
There is an on-site pub and feedback was provided this was not welcoming as the most attractive seating was reserved for larger parties, even though it was empty. The windows were dirty and the 50% welcome cocktail discount was misrepresented as a charge of $10 was levied for an eligible $18 cocktail. Staff said they would provide this feedback to management.
- 4/5
Stay was great! Lovely staff and car valet service. Cool stuff nearby and beautiful rooms with a historic flair. Definitely recommend the stay!
- 5/5
Nice historic charm Very nice. Staff very friendly The only thing to consider is that is has no elevator , but not a problem for me as it is just three floors
- 5/5
The receptionist was awesome and our stay was above average, great value and very clean for an old hotel!
