    Other than the hallway remodel that was going on, the room was still nice. The owner needs to buy new furniture for the breakfast area. And our chairs in the room need updating also.

    In the middle of construction, tried to tell me they would be making a whole bunch of noise till 9:00pm. Definitely will not be going back. The bathroom had mold in the shower, the room smelt musky once we arrived. The whole hotel was a disaster. I will not be booking this place again.

    Mike at the front desk was super nice and understanding when I reappeared 10 minutes after checking in and told him I couldn’t stay there. He was the only positive in the whole experience.

    The only positive about this hotel was friendly staff. We had roaches in the bathroom!! Also, bathroom door lock was busted and it looked like someone tried to open with a crowbar. Door was very dirty. Also, TV was messed up. I came close to asking for a refund after finding roaches in the room but my wife was in a wheelchair and we didn't want to hassle with finding another place to stay.

    However, when I came back later to check in and the balance of my stay the other two ladies, Ashley & the lady with light color braids (sorry didn't get her name) were very nice and helpful. Ashley remembered I was a previous guest there for a golf tournament.

    It is currently under renovation. I could tell they are just trying to scrape by on the minimum possible repairs on the old rooms until they get them renovated. There was mold on the ceiling of the bathroom, the sheets were worn, stains on towels, the shower curtain was falling apart, the bathroom door was ancient, the sink was cracked, the door lock did not work and the room was very musty. I would not recommend this hotel.

    This property is under construction so there is no access to certain parts of it. The fitness room is not open and the elevator is not working. There was also issues with smoking in the rooms but the staff was responsive when notified of the issue. Staff is helpful and friendly but due to current condition of property we probably won't stay again until it is finished with the remodel.

    Shopping near by. Great Mexican restaurant right next door, just walk over without crossing a road. But, the holel is so old. Mold on shower ceiling. Just dirty. It was also under construction. I would not stay here until that is all complete.

    The room was clean, but overall the furniture was very outdated. The material on all the chairs in my room were damaged and torn, it just wasn’t presentable. If the furniture would be updated, then it will make a big difference as far as the room goes. As far as the appearance goes, the hotel rating were good online but the hotel didn’t meet expectations!

    The staff were great! The room had a few flaws that made me uncomfortable. The mattress sunk in and the tub drain was clogged. While I showered the water kept filling up and I had water above my ankles. The bathroom door was chewed up at the bottom so bad anyone could just bend down and look through it.

    You will not find a better friendlier hotel to stay in. Everyone that works there were exceptional. Lanisha Odom is the front office manager. She went out of her way to make our family feel very welcome there. We traveled from Ohio to stay there for our uncle's funeral. And what was the very sad time in our lives she made us all very comfortable. When visiting our family I can guarantee you our group will always stay here. Honestly the only thing I guess we could say we didn't like was the hotel was being remodeled and for that you can't fault them. I was traveling with my 88-year-old mother and the elevator was not working they immediately gave us a downstairs room.

    Parking and quiet. The staff were very friendly. I enjoyed the two women I interacted with. No elevator service was available. I’m older with an invisible disability. It was a great inconvenience which wasn’t mentioned before nor after my booking.

    Plenty of towels was a plus. Plenty of space in the room and places to put things. Thoughtful details like a Christmas card set out and a postcard we could send to a friend. Appreciated the fridge, microwave, and coffee maker! The hallway floor was a little wonky but our Shelby relatives told us the story of the semi driver who drove into the hotel so it's understandable! Vending drink machine was completely out of drinks. Breakfast was very nice variety but the coffee was abysmal. Otherwise lovely, and a great value especially for the price. We'll definitely return next time we visit our Shelby relatives.

    Loved how inviting it was. The staff was was very friendly. They even gave us an extra room key. Thwy said if we had any trouble they would make it right. The only downfall was the ice machine. On the first floor was broken. Wonderful breakfast. They moring staff on Saturday went out of hos way to find me coffee creamer that i liked. They definitely went out of the way to chat and say good morning and have a good day. Its definitely a place i will go back to. Price was just right for the 3 of us.

    Robin was great! She was the receptionist when I arrived. She was courteous and kind! The only thing that went weird was that an 18 wheeler drove through the building and we had to evacuate. Robin was amazing! She made sure everyone got out safely and that she made sure everyone was accounted for. Cudos for Robyn!

    The hotel staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Even on check out. The lobby and breakfast areas were always clean and smelled great. The carpet in the hallways was dated and dirty. The room was very clean. Had plenty of towels and some toiletries. The water pressure in the shower was great! The blow dryer was terrible. The bed and pillows were clean and comfy. I would go back if I came that way again. Just needs a little TLC :)

    The employees we interacted with were pleasant and very nice but this was the dirtiest hotel room I have ever stayed. The room smelled like a smoking room. There was a film on everything. The walls had splashes of spilled drinks all over them. Sticky drops on the floor before entering. Some sort of rubber mat thing in the bottom of the tub. This room hasn’t been deep cleaned in YEARS. It was truly disappointing as I read all of the reviews and thought I had made a good choice. The only way to remedy this is to gut the place and start over.

    Smoking pot in end of hallway one room wasn’t clean so we couldn’t even stay and we had four rooms. Only one man there to check in and he would have had to clean room. Said had to call manager about room with pot in it overflowing to hallway and another ladies room. Very disappointed and had to drive to our grandsons house for all 10 of us to sleep would never stay at comfort inns again.

    Overall I felt uneasy, but it was all I could manage to pay for at the time. At night time there are tons of work trucks and men hanging around outside. While they weren’t offensive at all it made me a bit uncomfortable. The remote was dirty but the grand finale was that after 3 nights, in the am of my last day I saw something crawling near my head on the pillow. It was a bed bug! I was absolutely disgusted and grossed out. I noticed blood on my finger so it definitely bit me. I went to the front desk immediately and asked for bags to bag up my belongings. They did provide that and tried to inform me that they were not aware of an infestation issue and that they would shut down the room and have it exterminated. The front office manager Lanisha said they would refund one day of my stay and while I do appreciate the gesture I just don’t feel it’s completely appropriate because now I have this looming fear of bringing these bugs into my home and no access to using these items in the meantime.

    I liked that it was right off the main road and had a waffle maker. The hotel room was yuck. It smelled bad like mildew/moldy mixed with cigarette smoke. There was mold in the bathroom and the wall A/C unit couldn’t be adjusted or turned off. So rundown with wall paper coming off, damages everywhere, needs total revamp.

    Conveniently located between two main Shelby streets, this hotel is much quieter than I expected. It's adjacent to an older shopping mall, and there are plenty of nearby dining options. The hotel itself has been renovated/updated inside and was perfect for my one time stay.

    Although the room was clean, the room was cool and damp. I was as if there needed to be a de-humidifier in the room. Everything seemed to be damp, money, clothes anything paper. Dried the dry setting on the AC unit but it was of no use.

    Our room had water on the rug and smelled of dampness the minute we walked in. The water was coming from the air conditioner. When entering the room there was a mechanical fan trying to air out the wet rug. It got worse as the day went on. Front desk people looked at it but said the person in charge won’t do anything about it! It was true. I should be reimbursed for a room that had a terrible smell and completely wet rug.

    My A/C in my home went out and I just needed a place to lay for the night as my air was getting fixed the next day. The front desk staff informed me that he was giving me a room that had a “little” water on the floor from the previous person turning the air down too low causing the unit to freeze. When entering the room an overpowering bad odor hit me as walking into the room. The odor came from the carpeted floor being wet. The floor was not a “little” wet it was wet from the A/C all the way to the right side of the bed. I got in late and was tired and as mentioned just needed to lay down and I did not feel like complaining but it was definitely unacceptable. I will only stay there again if it’s my last option in this case it was considering all other surrounding hotels were booked. Very outdated hotel.

    This hotel is old and not well maintained. Our room was not very clean. We discovered hair on our bed blankets. The room itself needed a major redo, door’s needed to be repainted and furniture was old and chipped up due to old age. This hotel is a good distance from highway and not very convenient to anything. I would not stay there again.

    I loved the staff and the environment. This place is kid friendly with a pool and the shopping center is right across the private road. It’s quiet and safe. It’s an older building but it’s nice and clean. They keep up with the property. Also they offer truck and tractor parking if needed. Thanks for making my stay as comfortable as possible!

    Curtain was off the hooks. Smoke detector battery was missing. They replaced when I told them. Breakfast was average. Make yourself Waffles smelled good. Pool was clean. Couldn’t keep the shower curtain closed. The rod was leaning. Staff were very pleasant. Swapped towels nearly every day.

    Nothing was unique with this property except the staff. Not a fan of the mini square pillows. The tub wouldn't drain well when using the shower. WiFi worked well and the air seemed to work well too.

    The staff was very friendly. The hotel and the room seemed to be clean, but their was a strong musty smell. I think it was coming from the carpet. The whole place was in need of an update. We only stayed one night to attend a college graduation, so it met our needs.

    Overall the stay was what I expected from the location. Check In was smooth and the customer service was great. The room was clean and bed comfortable. The only thing that was displeasing about they stay is while check out was at 11 housekeeping began knocking on and opening doors around 9:30 am, and continued to do so until I finally left at 11. While I understand that they have a job to do and want to turn over the rooms as soon as possible they really should wait until at least 11 am to begin cleaning rooms unless the occupants have checked out at the front desk earlier than check out time. I also understand that I could have put the door sign up but for those like myself that forgot it gives a feeling of being rushed out of a space that gives a set check out time.

    We were pleasantly surprised! The pictures make it seem a little more dated than it actually is. The room was clean and didn’t have any smells. All the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Housekeeping even noticed I had makeup, and had used the makeup wipe provided. So they left a few extra wipes for me. It’s no luxury hotel. But for the price, it’s a great stay!

    Dingy and Dirty. I would not stay at this property again. The property is aging and a bit depressing. My room was dirty. Hair in the shower, opened coffee packets put back in the basket and gift wrapping from a previous guest found in a corner on the floor. My shower needed caulking, there were holes in the drapes, chipped paint and ripped wallpaper.

    The walls between room and between bathroom and the rest of your room need sound deadening insulation. I could hear everything. Soft closing doors would help keep people slamming doors from waking me up. Bathroom in the room needs an update.

    Was much better than I expected. Check-in was quick & easy, plenty of parking, easy access (although I’m not sure if there was another elevator other than the 1 on the very end of the building where our room was), comfortable bed, decent breakfast & everything appeared to be pretty clean.
