Reviews
The hotel has a great location, close to the airport and public transportation, with friendly staff and a good breakfast. However, there are issues with cleanliness, maintenance, and noise, as well as concerns about safety and security.

Needs to be remodeled, doors are so rusty, reception area has an uncomfortable odor.

The free shuttle was a total disappointment. We were told pick up at airport was at 8:10pm. Had to call again NO SHUTTLE. Was told they had to get gas. Was 25 minutes after pickup time. Shuttle was over full and 10 to 15 passengers had to stand. Shuttle circled airport 2 or 3 times. Got to hotel VERY late. I suggest taking an Uber and NOT hotel shuttle.

This property is in a great, central location! It was very clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable! The staff was kind and helpful and we didn’t feel hounded for housekeeping at all! There was a fridge and a microwave, which for us is ALWAYS A PLUS! There were a couple of issues with our stay, one of them not the control of the hotel, but rather that SF just is known for this. That issue being that there was black mold in the room, on top of the air conditioner, below the window seal. Again, the hotel has no control over how that grows due to the constant humidity, etc. However, I do believe that it should be cleaned up a bit. I was VERY allergic to it durning my stay and had MASSIVE sneezing fits over and over again, which made it difficult for all of us to sleep. Second, my issue was that it was a little bit pricey. Granted, it is near the airport and there are probably hotels that are way more expensive, but we paid $700 for 4 nights and I just think that’s a bit steep. I do appreciate that it included breakfast, but even then, what they serve does not compensate for the price of the room per night. I do understand that with inflation, businesses still have to run, so that makes sense. Lastly, the tv in our room barely worked. It had static and the “90’s lines” and some of the channels had no volume, while the other ones were really loud. Again, something that can be easily fixed and would probably not bother another person who doesn’t have OCD!

The room was clean and spacious. The two ladies on night shift are fantastic! Breakfast is good. The only reason i gave a 4-star is the airport shuttle is slow (it serves 4 hotels) ... be prepared to wait.
- 3/5
This place is a hole in the wall with very expensive prices…. I was happy to get a room but after a few days it wasn’t cleaned … the breakfast was very over crowded wish had more options… just an average place … it’s just okay

Breakfast area was understaffed. Food ran out, surfaces weren’t cleaned. Guest laundry was out of service. Aggressive homeless in the parking lot.

It was so clean and beautiful!! The property was lovely with landscaping that was gorgeous. The staff accommodated my request for my daughter, who was coming in a different day than me, to be in the room next to me. Very nice pricing. Breakfast had many options for my grandchildren ❤️ pleased as punch.

The washing machine was broken. There was a suspicious stain (brown skid mark type right in the middle of the bed- hard to believe no one saw that) on one of the beds (they did switch us rooms).
- 3/5
There is only 1 washer and 2 dryers for the entire place. I couldn’t wait so ended up going to a coin laundry. Breakfast didn’t have much variety either, it was scrambled eggs and sausage both days I stayed. Our room was pretty small too and a bit noisy due to the railroad nearby. The hotel takes forever refunding the $100 deposit. It’s been a week since I checked out and still waiting for my credit…. There needs to be a better system!

Sme what these place was awesome. I recommend you choose this place .

The room was clean and spacious, the bed is comfortable, the bathroom is good and the shower has good water pressure, and the hotel breakfast is comparatively good, at least as far as American hotel breakfasts go. I also appreciate the courtyard green space each morning. I usually have a good time at this hotel, but not this time. Maybe because of the particular room I was given, it was extremely loud late at night and early in the morning, with vehicle and bell noises that sounded like they were coming from the train station (or construction outside? Although I didn't see any construction work). I usually sleep fine when I stay here, but this time I could barely sleep each night because of the noise, and so I was exhausted throughout the day. The front desk staff are also usually polite, but this time they had someone who was pretty rude.

Location. Comfortable beds. Good breakfast. No hot tub

The location was close to the hospital that we had to visit. I could not get into my room. The key card work however the door continues to get stuck. It’s not very comfortable to be stuck outside at 3am following a bunch of Dr appointments. We were exhausted.

The staff was absolutely horrible except for one girl named Lisa. The rest do not belong in an industry that is there to be of service. They wouldn’t know the meaning of hospitality if it bit them.

There were good things and not so good things about this property. The good... the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great, and I think it really adds value to the stay. The not so good... the property is aging and therefore there are areas that don't look so clean. The walls are paper thin, so one, you can hear EVERYTHING the neighbors are doing and two, you can smell what they are smoking.

Reading lights attached to the headlights didn’t work. I was disappointed not to get my Choice Hotel Rewards accepted for my stay. Next time I won’t use hotels.com for my Choice bookings. Will go direct to the hotel.
- 3/5
Breakfast was basic but sufficient, featuring fresh 'do-it-yourself' waffles, scrambled eggs, and sausage, along with toast and two cereal options. While the grounds are well-maintained, be aware that the spa is currently not in operation. Additionally, parking is quite tight as most spaces are designated for compact cars. Unfortunately, the rooms themselves are in need of some TLC. We noticed cracks in the doors and dingy flooring. More importantly, there were poorly functioning outlets and lights, which made the stay a bit inconvenient. With some basic repairs and updating, this would be a top-tier choice for the area.
- 3/5
The staff was helpful, the room clean, and the bed comfortable, but most of the electrical sockets do not work, the toilet would not always refill with water, the wifi patchy, and the place is right next to an extremely loud rail line, with horns blasting throughout the night.

Jacuzzi was advertised but when we got there the jacuzzi was drained and closed, also beds are rock hard and uncomfortable, tv only had 10 channels that actually worked, ice machine probably need to be cleaned because the ice tasted slimy and gross.
- 3/5
The room was very clean and staff was amazing! The area is fine, 6 min from Costco which has the cheapest gas bc gas in CA is SO expensive, 25/30 min from all the stuff we wanted to do in San Francisco which we knew but the price was good and there was parking!!! Which was so hard to find in the original hotel we had in the city. I’d say the loud sound of the train though woke me up a couple times, that’s pretty much my compliant. Breakfast was fine too.

Sysco premade garbage.

Our room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was excellent! The Caltrain station was right across the street so it was very easy to go into the city when we wanted to.
- 2/5
There were no shopping nearby at all. Rooms were not clean. We found spiders on the bed.
- 5/5
The property was decent. The neighborhood was quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean with plenty of parking available. Convenient to freeways.
- 4/5
Limited breakfast items available, pastries and juice
- 1/5
I wouldn't go back even for free. I had to sleep with clothes on so l wouldn't touch the sheets. I put clothes on top of my pillow so l wouldn't touch my face with anything. I hope that explains everything.
- 4/5
The second morning we did do breakfast and I found it did have good variety and the food I ate was very good.
- 1/5
Breakfast was very poor, tasteless and no so many choices, the toilet has a leek, the ceiling of the bathroom has shown priors repairs for previous water filtrations and look ugly, the microwave didn’t work, the people at the front desk were very nice though, the list of restaurants they suggest around the hotel wasn’t current, many of them either close or not longer offering the service describe in the list. The pillows had grooms, so they are overused
- 5/5
The airport shuttle was perfect . All staff were courteous and efficient. It was a quick overnight stay.

- 4/5
The Hotel is good, but the area where it is located was excellent, it is a walk distance from downtown South San Francisco where the restaurant are. If you don't care about luxury this is an excellent place to stay
- 2/5
The staff were nice and check in and out not bad. Shower didn't drain so you didn't feel clean after standing in ankle high bathwater. TV was old and many channels not clear. Volume was high on one channel and low on another. Basic ** hotel at *** prices. Egg and proteins were very low quality. Not hard to have better food
- 5/5
The place was it's really nice
- 1/5
Staff on duty is rude and impolite ( the lady on duty on Sept 2nd at 6:30 am). Bad experience and never come back
- 5/5
We are were upgrade without asking
- 3/5
The area and staff was good but the bedsheets were so dirty and the blankets has lots of holes in it. The bathroom tap water was so dirty and our flush got clogged up everyday. The things shown in the picture before booking were not same at the place
- 2/5
First time experienced that service was only provided on request. Beds were not made, no clean towels after first night, we had to ask. Staff member forgot to inform us.
- 4/5
Staff are friendly but overall hotel is old
- 3/5
Poor maintenance
- 2/5
Bed slightly comfortable. Water in shower was nice and hot. But everything else about this particular Comfort Inn was sorely lacking for the per-night room rate. Trash bags outside the rooms for most of the day, no jacuzzi, pool out of order, run down exterior and interior. Door was not hung properly on room frame so lock was wonky.
- 2/5
Very noisy, busy area, bugs got in under the gap in our door, and the breakfast was horrible with the same choices daily
- 5/5
Parking fees that my only problem
- 3/5
Huge amount of trash in front of our room that stayed there until I asked them to pick it up from previous guests. Laundry room facilities for which I stayed there for were horrible. Washer doors didn’t close smallest washing machine I’ve ever seen double dryer. One took money, but didn’t work one did. Chargers on lamps didn’t work can’t be replaced because it’s a full panel
- 5/5
Just Great and fast Booking thru Expedia and nice people at hotel
- 2/5
The light bulbs were half incondescent half LED, some lightings features sadly didn’t work, broken light switch plate in bathroom and the main light shone directly on the bed pillows.. only one of six USB ports working (one fixture on bedside was just a big hole to the wall..) & it was the 3rd coffee maker offered that finally worked; no coffee offered in lobby either. the breakfast was very limited and all the coffee cups were wrapped so as to make having a cup a procedure rather than a convenience; there was no snack/beverage store/stand on site. l have more, but..why not be surprised?
- 4/5
They charged my card for the 100 deposit!!! Not happy!! My room was ok , clean but reeked of marijuana.
- 4/5
Overall, good for the value and definitely would stay again.
- 3/5
Terrible train noise all night long
- 4/5
When we first arrived our room still had dirty sheets; however, it was quickly resolved upon our request for new sheets. The bed was fairly comfortable and A/C + heat was great. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was a highlight of our stay. The food was nutritious and filling, making our trips into the city much easier. Eggs, juice, waffles, and options for bread were all great. My only complaint was that the coffee needed better flavor. Being right next to the Caltrain station was awesome and made travel easy.
- 3/5
Heater in the room didn't work. The hotel was booked so they couldn't offer me another room. They offered a space heater but never brought it. Run down and outdated. Was fine for short stay.
- 5/5
Great
- 3/5
Location is good and the staff was nice but the room and the area around us smell bad like pee. The ice machine not working and pool is dry.
- 5/5
Everything worked well. Shuttles to airport are provided only in the earlier morning and evening.
- 4/5
Front desk staff is amazing. Very friendly environment. Close to airport.
- 5/5
Everything was good. Just it was not clear at the beggars you had to pay also for the parking.
- 5/5
Fue una estadía corta pero muy agradable.
- 3/5
The breakfast was very poor quality and choice. Hot water ran out by 9am. Property at end of utility. Small pool permanenty closed

They don’t answer their phone at the front desk. When I got to my room, the carpet was wet and when I woke up in the morning more than half of it was soaked. When I went to the front desk about it, there was no apologies or sincerity, they just moved me (which I appreciate) but when I asked for extra towels because our previous room only had 2, they said “your new room will have towels”. Extra towels are free, I didn’t understand the issue. It took me asking twice and 2 hours to get the extra towels. While my new room had dry carpet, the toilet ran 24/7, but at the point I only had 1 more night so I gave up. When I got in the shower, I noticed that the caulking that they did around the shelves was coming off with the water, which was incredibly disturbing. Their breakfast is only 2 hours and is cold. The guy next door to my room was staring me down when I would walk in and out of the room and at one point tried to tell me I was slamming the door constantly when it was the first time I had left that morning. While that’s not the hotel’s fault, it tells you something about their clientele. This property was terrible and I will be contacting the hotel for money back.

Rooms are dirty & smelly.

The property needs to be updated/refurbished, the room was very inexpensive. Our room was clean, beds and pillows were very comfy. Two kings in a room is nice also. Breakfast was solid. Parking is additional $10. No spa.
- 5/5
clean & nice stuff
- 2/5
The property could use some TLC and better access.
- 5/5
Good
- 3/5
Mediocre at best. Loud surroundings, the first room they gave me reeked of weed, so they gave me a different room. When I went to leave around 10, the free breakfast was done.

Waited over an hour for shuttle that was supposed to come at three different times but finally last scheduled stop was for after 90 minutes of waiting. Finally decided to take a taxi since we had to catch a flight to Spain the next day which cost $26. We also had to pay for a taxi back the next day since no shuttle operated around noon hours. Also hair dryer didn’t work and had difficulty finding how the shower worked until finally called front desk that wasn’t pleasant about giving instructions. However front desk person the next morning was very accommodating and helpful. If we didn’t have non refundable reservations for 6/15/25, I’d cancel it

Great Value. Try the Cinnamon Roll Belgian Waffles !
- 3/5
Wi-fi connection is very unstable. Room was right by the highway and train station. Very noisy. Breakfast was just adequate. No vegetarian options for hot food.
- 5/5
Staff were very nice and the place was clean
- 4/5
Great overall. Did not like the parking. Too fee spots, and so tight together. Room was great.
- 4/5
Got the job done good breakfast staff polite close to freeway
- 3/5
The shuttle made traveling to the airport very convenient.
- 5/5
Very nice and clean
- 1/5
There was a small dead cockroach in my bed. Also the front desk did not give me a wake up call like I had asked them to.
- 3/5
Nice that they served comped breakfast. Noisy, as it is next to 101 and my room was just over the lobby that faces the freeway. Many TV channels had no sound, and I reported it and they said they were waiting for a tech. I stayed 5 nights and it was never fixed. Other than breakfast, there are limited -- or rather inconvenient -- food options. I would suggest having some snacks or something that you can get at the hotel. If you have a rental car, you can find restaurants nearby, but if you don't you need to order DoorDash or similar.
- 1/5
I’m a handicapped individual with mobility issues. My room was on the second floor and I was directed to a non working elevator. When I reported it to the office I was told they knew it was not working. I told the employee that was the elevator I was sent to and they laughed and shook their head. The property was clean. The room was quiet. I had to go to my vehicle at not and felt safe. No lottering and well lit.

Got there very late, no food options walkable. A large complex with many rooms. Good breakfast. Surprised we had to pay for parking though.
- 5/5
Front desk are the nicest people ever, very welcoming, parking is easy, just a quick drive to downtown ssf
- 3/5
This place looks way nicer online. Yes it’s cheap, but hotels in general are so damn expensive these days you’d expect them to be kept up nicely at least. The bathroom floor was dirty all around the toilet tile grout and caulk. The shower temperature was a fun puzzle to figure out. The toilet barely flushed. The fridge was barely cold. The exterior of the building is old and dirty or moldy looking. The location is not nice at all, across from a construction site and freeway. The food in the morning was extremely basic. We went to breakfast, and put our bags in the car, after we went back to the room to use the bathroom before leaving and the cleaning lady was already in there at 9am. Trust me for the price there are better places to stay, get the hotels by the airport or oyster point. And what’s with these places charging parking? It feels like a rip off when the whole damn parking lot is empty. Might as well park on the street.

The staff was extremely helpful, far beyond policy demands. I can recommend them as far beyond merely excellent.

We stay at this property because of the location near the train station. However, due to the trains and nearby freeway it is a bit noisy. Overall, we generally enjoy staying at this facility.

We have stayed here more than once due to how close it is to airport, clean, and safe.

Comfortable stay! Nice room

The location is very convenient for the Caltrain Station, but is otherwise not very walkable. For the price the rooms are good and the bedding was very comfortable. The breakfast was above average and the staff were friendly and helpful. Good value for the money.

We stayed at Comfort Inn by SFO airport because it was close and convenient. The only negative was the noise from the train.

You get what you pay for. Worst cable reception I’ve ever experienced in a modern hotel. Little effort to make it a pleasant experience. A bed with a roof over it.

Wood desks looks worn need updating or restoring

I work for a traveling bartending company and do a lot of events at cowpalace. My friend and I had a wonderful experience. Not too often you find a room that offers two king beds. Checkin staff was super nice. No ice machine on third floor (odd numbers) and second didn’t work but at least first floor worked. Water pressure was great too.

The free breakfast is great but I would like more dining options.

Check in was easy. Breakfast served in the morning Onlybissue water leak in wall. They assisted with moving rooms bo issue after. Charge $11. For parking Homeless walking around next to CalTrain stop.

Good place for a destination vacation

Our room was clean, bathroom was clean with plenty of towels and hot water. The ladies who checked us in were absolutely lovely and so very helpful. I will definitely stay here again! Oh, great breakfast too!

Breakfast was good but lack of variety especially when you’re there for 7 days. Staff were excellent

The staff members are exceptionally amiable and eager to assist.

I really loved that place.

Good spot to get a shut eye for the night and pass through.

There was a smell of urine in the courtyard area. Room was barely tolerable and had a view of an overpass. Couldn't recommend this place.

Just some parts are a little older but it was a good little spot to be if you don't plan to drive. It is next to the Train and a bus that takes you directly to San Francisco. Walking distance to Starbucks, and other dining options. Staff were very helpful. The shuttle is limited to certain hours and we didn't know that and unfortunately were not able to access it when we arrived and departed.

The staff was horrible, the bedsheets were stained and dirty. The shower was outdated and didnt work well. Still have not received my deposit back over a week later. Definitely would not reccomend staying here for the price.

Very noisy hotel. Located right next to the cal train station

I got there early as my international flight was hours early and reception was great about getting me into my room early so i could sleep after a 15 hr flight. Thanks again.

Free ehuttle from airport doesn't run between 9:30AM and 6:30PM. Carpets and upholstered chairs in lobby are dirty and worn. Other than that, beds are fine and it's a quiet night's rest.

Its a friendly area. We felt safe walking around to different restaurants
