Comfortable, clean and helpful staff!

Great location for attending any activities in downtown area.

Staff was very friendly. Rooms were dark. Breakfast was scarce and mediocre.

Our stay overall was wonderful. The view was amazing off our balcony. The front desk staff were helpful and polite. :)

The front desk person was personable and helpful. Breakfast was generously appointed and lots of diverse options. Closeness to downtown River Park was great - just a scooter ride away! (If you do rent a scooter - I'd do the monthly rate. Hourly gets really expensive.) The restaurant across the street diagonally has a great happy hour and a deck overlooking the river and trail.

I love the location and comfort of this hotel. Friendly staff and perfect for traveling with my small dog. The noise level. Honestly this is my favorite place to stay in Spokane (especially off season mid week) it is very noisy however. Thin walls and street noise.

Terrible loud traffic noise for multiple hours late into the night…sounded like continuous drag racing that left us unable to sleep

Folks at Holiday Inn make it a pleasure staying on property. After getting settled, happy hour was in the dinning area and the next morning we had delicious fresh ground coffee and the protien breakfast was a treat, too.

He said that I’d have to take this up with the manager. Let me tell you something. I built and ran the number one -Trip Advisor- Eco resort in Panama and all of Central America. I know hotel ownership, customer service and the industry to the highest order. I will continue this discussion on Trip Advisor.

I had booked a suite at this “pet friendly” hotel. At check-in, I was told that the suite was not supposed to be available for guests with pets. They allowed me to stay in my selected suite, but I hope this gets clarified in the reservation process. Also, double check your room receipts. I was billed the pet fee twice.

Everything was great. The only thing we wish is that it had a pool or hot tub. Staff is amazing beautiful hotel. We will stay there again.

This stay was a total surprise as the hotel was a gem. Great location and rooms and everything worked. The best part of the stay were the staff who were so focused on first class customer service. From the time of check-in to check-out we could not have asked for more. The welcome and conversation were warm and genuine and when we mentioned we were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary to receive a bottle of wine unexpectedly was just the best. Can't speak highly enough of this property. Well done Holiday Inn Spokane Downtown and keep up the great work. You're all stars!!

The rooms were clean. It was a great location to the track and the customer service and staff were so kind and friendly.

When we arrived there was a dead cockroach in the middle of the floor and also a few under the sink area. When asked if we could move rooms they said no because we booked through a third party. They offered to come and spray - even though they were dead so we said ok. I assumed they would clean the room when they were in there but they didn’t. There was hair on the bathroom floor too. Cleaning was definitely lacking and I’ll choose a different hotel next time we are in town.

Amazing hotel!

The hotel seems to house a lot of college athletes competing in town. The students were well-behaved and not a problem from our perspective. We were, however, a bit dismayed that we arrived at the breakfast room 15-20 minutes before scheduled closing. The room was filled with student athletes. The eggs and other hot food items were gone. We asked if more would be served but were told they would not be. Would be great if the staff planned ahead for a lot of big appetites.

I woke up too late to have the breakfast however heard it was delicious.

This hotel was good just a few little things found two bugs in my shower. They have an arcade in the lobby, but didn’t want kids playing it so they unplugged it and said it was broken yet these kids can’t do anything else in the hotel but that then they unplugged it on them thought that wasn’t cool. If you don’t want kids to use it, don’t have it in your lobby. You were there with our hockey team and they were very respectful. They didn’t play mini sticks in the hall because they were told not to but yet had a cheer team was there and they were running up and down the halls till two in the morning, but that was OK. The only other bad thing was, I went to get an English muffin in the morning, and I had mould on it kind of gross if you stay at this place has to stay away from the highway as people like to drag race down the highway at night time it can be very loud

Plus the location was very convenient and the view from the room was great to see the downtown Christmas lights!

The listing on Expedia says this venue provides free self-pay parking. But the hotel only allows one car per room, no matter the price or size of the room or how many people you're paying to stay in it. We had to find paid parking at other locations around town for other family members.

Clean room, looks renovated and modern. Shower didn’t work but it was ok they moved us to another room. Great free breakfast , a lot of healthy options. In the evening free fresh popcorn and baked cookies and milk.

My room was spotless. The bed was very comfy. There was a good breakfast buffet, afternoon snack and cookies and milk in the evening. All the staff went out of their way to be kind and courteous.

Clean Short on parking

We had a nice stay in Spokane. Room was great, showing a little wear, but clean and breakfast was great. Our only complaint was the limited parking and spaces not big enough for our full sized suburban.

Expedia great pricing as usual. Free breakfast was great and cookies after 7pm at the front desk. We will at The Rock Holiday Inn Express again soon.

The room was perfect, especially with the decoration on the bed.

The bed was too high. Hard to get on and off. It was however the most comfortable one I have slept on. I asked for a couch in the room and got a chair. It was ok, needed a foot stool. Recommend replacing with a recliner. Shower was great. Overall great experience.

The exterior and Lobby are look amazing. The morning desk clerk was super nice and friendly, as was the lady attending the breakfast. The breakfast was typical of hotel breakfasts, the area was super clean, hot food was hot, cold food was cold.

This is our go to hotel to stay at when we visit Spokane. The service is always great, staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are always clean.

This is the only place in spokane my family stays. It's amazing clean quiet and has an amazing breakfast.

Amazing hotel, everyone is so friendly, only downfall is if you have allergies and cant tolerate fragrance, the laundry has a high fragrance odor, wish they would use fragrance free supplies.

Great location right by the river walk!

Outside vehicle traffic was loud throughout the night and noise from other guests and slamming doors constant all day. Rooms were average but had the most uncomfortable thin pillows. Even with multiple pillows, they deflated to wafer thin. Parking was horrible with very narrow spots that required rubbing doors with vehicle parked in the next spot just to get in and out. Wider vehicles took multiple spots that filled up available spots and required finding parking in a nearby paid parking lot. Front desk staff was unfriendly. Never again will I use this hotel.

The ice machine was literally right outside our door, not in another room but inset into the wall outside our room. Very noisy.

The hotel is nice and comfortable, close to the riverfront park and city center, very convenient location. Staff are 👍. Only concern is the loud street traffic which may affect your sleep.

We stayed in tge Gonzaga Suite. Loved the room. Hopefully we can stay in the sane room next year.

The receptionist was lovely. She was so attentive and informed us of everything we needed to know. Family of 5 with 3 kids and the breakfast and complimentary cookies were delicious.

The shower was huge and had body jets and a waterfall shower head. Best shower i have ever taken!

Holiday Inn Express never disappoints!

My room was great except next time I would request a room that was not near the elevator. We could hear it going up and down all night into early morning. Unfortunately we also had a family above us that had a young child that ran back and forth most of the evening then again early in the morning.

Our family stayed a night here on an extended road trip across the northwest US and we were all so sad to only stay one evening. The hotel itself is jaw-dropping gorgeous. Felt like it would be way out of our price range anywhere else. The evening dinner+happy hour+evening cookies were incredible perks. Super friendly staff! The breakfast had a great, large variety and the coffee maker that grinds the beans!! *swoon* We were in the executive suite on the second floor and it was large enough for our family of 6. Only downside was it being right across from the elevator, but what can ya do? The shower had body jets and was massive. Did I mention this felt way more bougie than we’d normally be able to afford?? The AC in the bedroom wasn’t working, but we were able to run the one in the living room and it was totally fine. And we loved having a separate sink from the bathroom one! All in all, this was our favorite place to stay and nothing else will feel good enough after this.

This is a landmark property. Very close to downtown events.

The room has a small refrigerator, miceowave, shampoo/conditioner/lotion. Full size shower head. Can ask for other toiletries if needed. The breaksfast (6:30am-9:30am) had variety (fresh pancakes, biscuits and gravy, bacon, eggs, muffins, juices, cereal and milk, bagels, etc). Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day and I was happy with this! No complaints and very positive experience. Would consider staying again or referring friends if they visit the area.

The staff were great. The lobby is open and attractive. I appreciate that they welcome dogs. The room was clean but the street noise was occasionally irritating…not to the point to where I couldn’t sleep. The lighting was cold like florescent lighting and too dim.

Wonderful hotel. Very clean and quiet. 5 minute walk to the Spokane River, and a little longer down the Spokane Falls. Staff is very friendly and the breakfast is great. Oh and free evening meals Mon-Wed including free wine and beer as long as youre not intoxicated. I had 2 bowls of chicken noodle soup and rolls, plus 3 beers, all free. Give this spot a try!

Really nice hotel for family

Staff was nice and competent. Property was nice. However, rooms near Division Street were noisy from cars and motorcycles to wee hours of the morning.

Breakfast was pretty disappointing. First day turned out to be the best (sausage & omlettes) but everything was cold. The next day was horrible. Big pile of broken pieces of greasy burnt bacon. Not much else worth eating. On the other days the food was ok if you could get any. Constant line of people waiting and then the little bacon they brought was only enough for the first 5 people waiting. They told us they were sold out when we checked in so it’s not as if they didn’t know it would be busy but they just didn’t seem prepared. On the other hand everyone I encountered that worked there was friendly, professional, and represented the hotel well. The room was clean and spacious. The location was prefect and you could walk to much of downtown. Fix the elevator and the breakfast and we’d be happy to return.

I will say for as busy as that hotel was for the women’s march madness and huge volleyball tournament going on, the staff did what they could with being short staffed. Max at the desk was exceptionally helpful and informed us on everything that was going on. He was so helpful and kind. I made sure to say hello to him each morning bc you could tell, he could use some help with everything. The young lady who was handling stocking the breakfast area deserves some accolades for the crazy mess that was made with the volleyball tournament folks. They each did what they could and did it w grace and smile on their face.

My daughter and I stayed here for her track meet at the podium. We loved how close it was because we were able to walk instead of trying to find parking which is hard and expensive. We found the hotel clean and nice.

This stay was not our favorite. We had a room on the first floor near the lobby and gym. We heard everyone come and go day and night so didn’t get much sleep. I don’t know why there would be a room that everyone has to walk past to get to their rooms and elevator. The treadmill was really loud and annoying to listen to. We had stayed at this hotel before and enjoyed it because we were on a higher floor so didn’t have all the noise.

Evening cookies were great! Staff was kind and helpful, room was clean (and available at the last minute!) having someone with cement slippers on their feet above us was not great, but an uncontrollable variable. Staff handled it promptly when notified.

Excellent selection of good food for breakfast (loved the cinnamon rolls). Even a small evening meal followed by cookies and milk at 7. Room and beds were comfortable and clean. Staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Costs a little more than some but Holiday Inn Express is always worth a few more dollars in my opinion.

My boyfriend and I were going to stay there but we got kicked out for “noise complaints”(we did have a speaker to play music but we did turn it off completely) and the third time they came, they told us we were being kicked out. My problem is the fact that when we checked in. Not only was there 2 school buses blocking most of the parking lot and about 30 teenagers in the lobby and outside joking laughing, which we had no problems with that. The front desk attendant told us while checking in that there may be a little noise and that they apologized for any future inconveniences. We get to our room and I paid an extra 60$ to get a room with a balcony. I didn’t get that. We decided we would mention it to the front desk in the morning. As we’re just about to leave to the casino, they kicked us out. We had even turned the music off. They claimed that we were being too loud with our conversations and laughing, I’m now confused cause aren’t we here to have fun? Do people go to hotels just to do nothing? No. We were only doing exactly what the teenagers who were playing tag on the first floor and they had a problem with us? … it was 11pm at night but we did what they asked and still were kicked out for just trying to go and have some fun. We were literally about to walk out the door, we even opened the door just as they were listening to us outside of it. So I wouldn’t go there unless you want to be kicked out and my boyfriend is black, so you know what kind of service they gave us.
