Our toilet was clogged from the get go and it was impossible to get a hold of any staff from the room phone . We went to the restaurant for a quick bite to eat and waited for our food for 40 minutes before we were informed that our pizza had burnt therefore they had to make another. It took so long that we couldn’t eat and had to take the pizza and eat it cold after our event 4 hours later. Instead of comping our meal due to terrible communication and waiting so long, they took off a measly 20%.

At first glance, things were great, big room, nice balcony. Then we noted our TV had Direct TV with no streaming services. Our room happened to be in a WiFi dead zone so I had to use my phone as a hotspot. The Direct TV kept glitching so it’s a good thing we brought games. There was a dirty bandaid in the elevator for two days until I reported it to the front desk. My sheet had a tear in it, when I reported it to the front desk, nothing happened even though I’d been assured it would be passed on to housekeeping. For the price, I was not impressed.

The only thing that spoiled my stay there was this; The first time I went down to the pool, I wanted to leave as much as I could in my room so nothing would get stolen poolside. I left my engagement ring on the dresser under the TV (among all my other pocket contents) and only brought my clothes and a room key with me. Room service had been in while I was in the pool, took my dirty towels and cleared the trashcan... My ring was also missing though, and despite searching through all my bags and the whole room multiple times, I couldn't find it. Not making any accusations- and frankly it was a $20 Tungston Carbide ring from Amazon, so not silver or gold or anything super valuable. It did have signicant sentimental value. But... c'mon.

Room wasn’t stocked with enough towels for the number of people staying as well in check-in. They said there was a coffee bar downstairs. They didn’t advise that this was actual you know deli pay for coffee. 2 kcups in the room. Elevators broke during our stay being on the ninth floor was a tough haul out and was overpriced for what you get.

This is a beautiful piece of property and a beautiful location, however very disappointed to come in and see that the sheets had not been changed for the amount of money you pay and it looks you would think that they would put time into making sure the rooms are clean for our next customer and when I was offered a credit, it was done as a hotel resort fee exchange and not that I’ve ever even needed a credit I was just wanting clean sheets. Nobody wants to sleep in a dirty bed.

We checked in after midnight and a long drive or we would have found another room or place to stay…. The bathroom and shower had ants and other bugs. It didn’t drain when showering so having inches of water to shower in was not ideal.. We were just there to sleep then shower in the morning and leave but it was not a clean or nice experience.

The hotel has tried hard to revamp this older hotel, unfortunately the black and red interior color leaving feeling quite gloomy. The hotel is supposed to to be smoke free, but the room we were given reeks heavily of smoke. Upon request they did move us to a new room. It was marginally better, but still had a stale old cigerett smoke. The hotel is conveniently located, but will choose a different location for my next trip to Spokane.

We loved being near the Riverfront Park and the Falls. Were able to walk over several times and wish we could have stayed longer. Would absolutely stay here again if we are in the area. Didn’t like that the grill was closed to guests outside of the wedding party. We were told to come back in 2 hours. We had to Door Dash, which was a first for us. Still, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Paid extra for a river view balcony...was told our room was in the far corner upon check in. Got up to the room and must say "river view room" was pretty much only on a technicality. It was a view of the other building and pool and if you leaned over the balcony, you could see a small section of the river. AC unit/fan was very loud (helped me to sleep with the white noise but could be disruptive to some). Parking was super sparse and was a separate charge.

This trip, I was fairly disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. The shower had several loose, what looked like cat hairs, in it. There were squished bugs around the sliding glass door to the balcony, there was a McDonald's condiment topper stuck on the balcony, the balcony floor was sticky, and I found one of those weevils that turn into clothes moths. They were also fairly stingy on items in the room. We had exactly two of every towel type, only half a roll of toilet paper, one plastic cup, etc. For our two nights stay we had to ask for more towels, toilet paper, and cups. The room itself was also mediocre for paying for a balcony upgrade. I felt like the rest of the room was smaller just to have a small balcony. Also, the bathroom door was set to automatically shut, and I had to rig a system with hangers to keep the door open as I hate a hot shower in a small bathroom. The AC was fairly loud, but I was just glad it was working so well as we have been in a room before where the AC barely worked at this property. I will say that the employees were extremely nice and friendly. I am sure we will stay here again, just as stated earlier, I wish this property was a more consistently great stay.

It’s outside of the main downtown core of Spokane but still walking distance thanks to the Centennial Trail. The pool was heated nicely and they provide some pool floaties like rings and noodles if asked. They do have a small hot tub we didn’t use. We had a king room with a balcony. Our room was on the 3rd floor. Our balcony was overlooking the parking lot technically. The room across the hall overlooked the pool. There was not separation between our balconies so we could have overlooked the pool if needed. Unfortunately the Centennial is considered a separate part of the Davenport hotels and therefore is not connected to the Marriott Bonvoy program unlike the rest of the Davenport hotels. Therefore was charged nearly an extra $200 for early check in and parking. If this was a Davenport hotel, parking would have been no charge. This was disappointing to learn at check in and should have been made clearer to those checking in. Most of the staff was good and in good moods even under high stress. My only concern was the front desk at check in on Saturday made me feel like I was an inconvenience for wanting to check in early.

This was a great place spend a couple of days in Spokane. The Room itself was clean and comfortable. We had a view of the Pool area and faced the river valley. Did not use the pool as it was pretty busy. Could have done without the loud DJ playing since he was set up a few floors underneath our window, but we weren't in the room much anyways. DT area and River Valley is walkable no need for a vehicle since there is nature, shopping and dining just a 10-15 min walk

All the amenities are decent enough with the exception of the parking situation. I understand that Downtown parking in Spokane is at a premium but there's no reason that I can see why I should have been asked to pay for parking when I spend as much on a four night stay as I did at the Centennial. Thankfully they did comp the parking prior to my arrival otherwise I probably would have changed my reservations.

The check in process was awful. Once you got to the clerk he was wonderful. So it was not the staff, it was the management of the staff. Check in time was at 4:00. We arrived at 5:15 there were about seven people in front of us, one clerk. by the time we made it to the counter there were 15 to 20 people in the line. It was a festival weekend so lots of people in town. Two employees came into the area, no one helped they stood at the front desk talking while 15 people waited in line. Totally unacceptable.

Our stay was for 3.5 days. On first day our room have one bath towel. There were two adults! Day two I requested another bath towel and additional plastic cups and coffee pods. These items were never provided. On 3rd day I personally stopped a room maid servicing rooms to ask for assistance. This was after she passed our room door with a note on door requesting service!, placed on 2 nd day of our stay! Many hotels offer coffee in lobby also. This hotel has only a Starbucks. And a very big issue was this room was on top floor of our section of hotel. Right out one window was a very large soffit light that was big and bright all the dark hours. Yes, there were blackout curtains, but they were not very effective. I wish this issue had been mentioned when renting room. At least a caution that there were bright night lights in the area!

I have stayed here every year for Bloomsday and this year was horrible. I arrived at 4:10 to check in and was told they were behind on getting rooms ready due to being fully booked and would text or call me in about an hour for my room. I finally went back 4 hours later because I hadn’t received a call or text and they said my room just became available. I was very upset because I wanted to relax once I checked in which was supposed to be at 4pm not 8pm. They apologized and that was it. I don’t feel I shouldn’t have to pay for a room I couldn’t even use when I reserved it. Completely disappointed in the management for not seeming to care. I was so exhausted I wanted to cry.

The young breakfast waiter was so sweet and friendly and advised me on the menu, which really helped. Please let her know about this praise!! She served me four meals and always greeted me and knew I wanted coffee with cream! The only thing I could complain about, and this is from an old woman’s perspective, I didn’t find the ramp into the restaurant until my final day. I kept struggling up and down the steps with my walker!!! It’s very easy to fall, doing steps without help!! Thanks for the lovely stay, I loved being able to go to the river walk!!!! I’m certain to return.

Poor check in. Rooms weren’t ready and the front desk staff weren’t very helpful. We were gratefully given rooms beside each other, as previously requested. Beds were very comfortable and the rooms were laid out very well. There was a small blood stain on a pillow case as well as the bathroom was not cleaned very well. No conditioner. The hotel is in an excellent location with beautiful surroundings right beside the riverfront park. Very nice lounge & restaurant.

Functional: not so much. Bathroom door closes so towels and room don’t air out. Shower head is impractical ( hair gets wet, hard to wash armpits and other areas without doing a back bend) Plenty of room for a small sofa and coffee table but we got an impractical chair. Room was ready at arrival but they wanted 35$ extra since it was early so yes, let’s come back an hour later and stand in line.

Only had one agent to checkin…. Line was almost out the door. Finally a 2nd agent came in….. we had to fix the toilet in our room!! Also was not provided enough towels . Our reservation was for 3 and only had linens provided for one!! When the front desk was contacted we were told housekeeping was not in yet (a 45 minute wait!) unacceptable to us as we were planning to be out the door before then! I asked if maintenance or someone other than housekeeping could provide the towels….which is what happened but the front desk did not offer that upfront!! Just little things that added up to to make my stay disappointing!! Went and stayed at a different hotel 2nd night that was nearby and will choose it over the Centennial in the future.

Even though I had purchased a nonrefundable double clean room upon arrival at 9 PM I was informed that they had oversold that type of room and that all was available was a king suite with a “sleep-able” sofa. Traveling was my husband and I and our adult daughter. The sofa was not a pull out or and did not have any sort of bed. It was just a leather sofa. It took over an hour for them to deliver bedding. I was offered $35 for the inconvenience. But we were traveling for a college tour and this inconvenience was a major inconvenience for my daughter. Furthermore, the beds are incredibly soft and the pillows are all the same level of firmness, which is firmer than I prefer. Beware that there is a resort fee and a parking fee. I will not stay here again.

A from the ceiling rain shower head, a floor to ceiling half glass shower enclosure... quite the experience! There is a mounted shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispenser, which I did not use, so it was awkward to access my toiletries with no shelf available. Also, the shower floor, while textured, was very slippery once I rinsed the soap and shampoo off. Be aware.

The reception desk guy, Ray, was awful and uncaring. Our room was " not ready" while we waited in the lounge, spending another $50 on 1 appetizer and 2 drinks while we waited. After 60 minutes past check in we went back to the desk as they had not called to say our room was ready. Ray was not in a mood to do his job but thankfully passed us off to another employee, Beau, who held him accountable to get us in a room as no manager was on site at that time. Once the manager was connected to us, he was great. Trip ended up ok but it really shows how much the reception desk can influence a stay. Facility is beautiful and clean and most of the staff are excellent.

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding our recent stay at The Centennial. We booked our reservation several weeks ago and added parking and early check-in (1:00 PM – 3:00 PM) earlier this week. Despite arriving at 1:30 PM for our scheduled early check-in, we were informed the room was not ready. After waiting in the parking lot for an hour and a half, we were told the room smelled of cigarettes and would not be ready until 3:30 PM. When we were finally able to check in, we were placed in a different room than originally booked. Due to these delays, we had to rush to make our scheduled engagements. Upon returning to the room, we discovered several issues: - Toilet paper left in the toilet - No towels or washcloths provided - Debris/chips on the floor - An unpleasant odor in the room Furthermore, when I called this morning to request towels so we could shower, I was told that only washcloths were available and that I would have to wait until after 9:00 AM for housekeeping to arrive with towels. I am extremely disappointed with the level of service we received, especially given the cost of our stay. I look forward to hearing how you intend to address these concerns. Best regards, Stephanie & Brandon Schlueter

We were finally able to get into our room when we returned at around 9:30. The pool noise was horrible. The people there were so loud. We didn’t want a pool view room, but I guess I get what I get. We have stayed here before. The staff is great, the property is conveniently located to downtown Spokane, via a beautiful walk through Riverside park. Plenty of parking. Lots of trails to walk your dog, or take a jog. Lots of restaurants near, a country feeling in the heart of the city.

Room was good, front staff good. Restaurant staff was short handed but it is every time we stay there on event night. I had some charges on account that say centennial and not sure what they are for. I know one was drinks and pizza after PBR. Then 3 others not sure what they were for. Called front desk and they said they can’t help me with charges.

It took an hour to check into the hotel! After thinking that wasn't normal for them and maybe they were having issues with a system or employee, the front desk agent told me that this happens all the time when it is a busy evening because their process is so slow. The line didn't go down until several hours later.. You can't park at the hotel until you check in, so even trying to find somewhere to put your car while you wait an hour was hectic as there was just the standard half moon drive up you usually find at hotel entrances. They stated that they charged one dollar amount for parking, but ended up charging more than we were told by nearly triple that amount for a one night stay. The room was ok but the beds were uncomfortable and the sheets didn't fit the mattress fully so we kept needing to pull the top fitted sheet back onto the mattress, which was odd.. and the headboard was a large mirror. We had kids staying with us, so the mirror thing was pretty odd for all of us. The toiletries in the bathroom had a very pungent smell to them that even the soap made us recoil a bit from. We paid for four guests to stay in the room but only received enough towels for two, with no answer to receive more. The hotel stated room service was offered on a pamphlet inside the room, but when we attempted to use it within the hours provided on it, the app said that it was unavailable for this hotel - odd considering the restaurant is within the hotel.

Just ok when spectacular was expected. Front desk and restaurant staff were good. Room was ok. Had to ask for shampoo and kleenex because they were empty. No shelf in the shower so everything had to be on the floor. Worse thing was that we could not get the temp over 66 and the fan was super loud. Disappointing for the price.

Stay was ok. Housekeeping was suspect in that a used washcloth in the corner of the shower was not removed and still there after housekeeping services had been provided. Also confused that parking is now $15 USD per night. For Canadian travellers that’s a $50 Cdn extra charge for a two night stay. In addition, not sure what the $20 USD per night resort fee covered? This is not a resort destination and at best a three star hotel. Unfortunately the parking and destination fee will deter this Canadian travelling family from visiting again which is disappointing as we are through Spokane regularly. There are other hotels close by who do not have all of these up charges. Remember that travellers from different countries have currency exchange factors so seemingly “small” fees add up. The only plus on our stay was the convenient location of the hotel which made for easy walking to downtown area.

When I called to inquire there are taxes on it as well. Then gentleman I spoke to was irritated that I inquired about the fees charged to my card. I also asked for a receipt at checkout emailed to me. It was never emailed. He did offer to send me a receipt and I was grateful and said yes. I have yet to receive that receipt as well. I had high hopes for this hotel based on the location and knowing some people who have also stayed there. Unfortunately, it was not great. The temperature of the room was between 71-73 the whole time despite having the (loud) AC rattling along our entire stay. The mattresses on the beds seemed uneven...when sitting at the head of the bed with our legs extended, our legs seemed to tilt up and out backs and butts were sinking. It was quiet. Staff were friendly if engaged. The location is central to a lot of things we were interested in and visiting - but having stayed there I think the price did not fit the quality.

For the price of the rooms you would think the employees would be paid properly and that the rooms would be top notch. At check in we were rushed through, were not given info on how to get to the room let alone told the location. Was not given anything besides a room key. The kid seemed to hate his job and hate us. rooms were visibly clean, close up not so much. The jet tub I paid extra for was so gross I did not use (literal pubes sill in the tub) . The balcony which was also why I chose the room, was disgusting; so didn't use it. The ac unit looked like it had never been wiped down and struggled to even work, leaving the room at a smuggy 75 the whole night. The bathroom door doesn't close all the way (barn door) so it's stays cracked. So no privacy when going number 2... The fridge struggled to work making a horrible sound like a dying animal, easy fix yes. But again for the price you would think these things wouldn't be a problem. The bathroom mirror had weird stick on rhinestones. I thought they were leftovers from the previous guest, but they were covering strange holes? It was a little weird! The mirror over the bed, yes it is fun. But, gives off a final destination scene. There was a strange smell that didn't go away. The damn bed; The bed was uncomfortably soft, the pillows sucked. Anytime you or your partner moved the whole bed bounced around.. So there was little sleep that night. I was curious to know what the housekeepers were being paid. I was not impressed.

Overall stay was good, large king size bed with balcony. Feedback is that the bathroom is oddly small, the rain fall shower head was inconvenient and the half glass door gets the floor wet. In room coffee maker malfunctioned. Tv only offered satellite dish guide.

My husband and I showed up very late after being stuck on the side of the highway for 3 hours waiting on a tow. Tawnee welcomed us and was so sympathetic and helpful with our accommodations, in fact, all of the staff was just incredibly thoughtful including in the restaurant which was open until 11 pm to our pleasant surprise. The food was delicious by the way! I also love the bridge access right to the park and walk ability of the area (this was important since we had no car). Will always recommend this hotel to anyone I know visiting the area.

The blackout curtains in the room didn't go all the way to the floor and the window in my room had a exterior light right next to it. Was like daylight in the room all night. The door was also facing the lobby and everything out there was clearly and loud in the room

When I arrived, my room was not ready, and I had to wait approximately 30 minutes while housekeeping completed their work. However, upon entering the room, it was immediately clear that it had not been properly cleaned. There were leftover party decorations from a previous guest, and the bathtub still had visible body residue. Since the tub was one of the main reasons I booked this particular room, I ended up purchasing my own cleaning products and scrubbing it myself before use. In addition, the pillows had makeup stains on them, despite the fact that I do not wear makeup, raising concerns about whether the linens had been changed. The in-room menu and privacy signs were sticky and unclean. One of the lamps was broken and would not stay upright, and I also noticed spider webs in several corners of the room, along with visible spiders that I had to kill during my stay. This experience was disappointing, especially since I had high expectations based on my previous visit. I’m sharing this feedback in the hope that it helps improve the cleanliness and upkeep of the rooms for future guests.

This is our second time here and it is our favorite! This year we got rooms right next to the pool which was so convenient with our young kids. The "kiddy pool" is awesome for the younger kids, honestly we spent a fair amount of time sitting in there ourselves. The pools were very clean and the whole area was well maintained. We loved that we could walk out the front door and down the street to an awesome playground and splash pad. Both times we have stayed, there has been a festival right across the bridge which is always a lot of fun. I was concerned that being near the pool would be noisy but those rooms are insulated. We couldn't hear a thing from the inside or vice versa. There are small fridges and microwaves in the room which is extremely helpful with small children. The beds were soft which I like, I will probably bring my own pillow next time but I am pretty picky about my pillows. The lobby could use an upgrade but it was clean and still very nice. The staff was very helpful and having three kids who eat and create garbage constantly, I really appreciated how quickly my trash just disappeared from the hallway when we set it out. We had a great time and will be back next year for sure!

Hotel was over priced. They put us in a standard king even though we requested a king suite. They charge you an amenity's fee each day and then also charged to use the amenity's each time. No continental breakfast have to pay for everything. On top of our stay and there was no hot tub my bill is still all screwed up!

We reserved a room for 2 adults with a balcony on Expedia. At check-in I was told that since I used a 3rd party to book my stay, that they did not have any balcony rooms left, even though my email confirmation stated I had a balcony room. The room they did put me in, appeared to be missing furniture. There was a very large open area near the window, that in most hotels would have had a small table and chairs. I was very disappointed with whole experience.

Overall, the property is nice but our room was disappointing. We reserved a King room and were given a King accessible which was fine. A couple comments about the accessible bathroom. First, the shower curtain was short - about 12” from the floor so the water sprayed underneath and onto the bathroom floor. Also, the sink was placed in a location that would be accessible for a wheelchair but the mirror was centered on the wall but not visible from the sink. We left our room early in the morning and returned late in the evening to find there had not been cleaning service. We had to track down clean towels as ours were still wet from cleaning the water on the floor that morning. Maybe they don’t do daily cleaning? This wasn’t disclosed though.

This was such a fun venue to stay at for my family. The room was clean, safe, and comfortable. Upon arriving, our room wasn’t ready yet (we were a bit early on a busy weekend) so they gave us a key to the pool to use while we waited. When we showed up to the pool, there was a dj playing millennial themed party music, tons of young families and people at the pool, and a bar with drinks available to purchase. It felt more like a resort out of Mexico than a hotel in spokane. We were so pleasantly surprised and had a fantastic time partying on the pool deck! We would come back just for that experience!!

The sheets were stained and dirty. Took going to the front desk twice and almost an hour and a half to get them changed. The toilet either had not been cleaned or was poorly cleaned. Overall the room could have been cleaner. For what this hotel charges, the expectations are higher. I have stayed here a few times and they certainly miss the mark. Location is what keeps me coming back.

We had a nice stay at this hotel. NOTE: if you saw old pictures of the pool and saw a SLIDE in the photos, the slide no longer exists. The good things about this property is it's location to downtown and the park, the pool was excellent (despite no slide), room was clean, shower was really nice (like a rain shower!), and beds were pretty comfy. The things that could improve are: carpets seemed a bit old, check in took a while and they seemed a bit understaffed, room was small, elevators were tiny and the luggage carts barley fit in the elevators and the carts needed to be replaced (they were very worn and dirty looking), no info was given at check in about wifi, parking was an extra fee for no real apparent reason, they have plenty of parking and it seemed like an extra money grab for them to charge for it. Overall decent hotel, but will probably look for something else next time.
