Reviews
The hotel is generally praised for its cleanliness, comfortable rooms, and friendly staff. However, there are recurring complaints about the lack of certain amenities in the rooms, such as a fridge and microwave, and issues with housekeeping services. Some guests also express dissatisfaction with the food quality and the additional fees for parking and amenities.

The Valet and restaurant staff were both excellent. The front counter staff and house keeping were horrible. Two out of five nights the housekeepers never cleaned our room or brought us fresh towels. When we called the front desk they were uninterested and of no help at all. The property is getting dated and the management and service for the price has left the building.

Loved this hotel!!!

The place was amazing but check in was a nightmare. They had the reservations messed up. Blamed it on the booking platform. Got charged an additional 100 per room for add-ons!!

Very average for the cost. Nothing spectacular about this place. Comparable with discount hotels

There were blood on our sheets. The staff moved us into a different room but still… it’s such an expensive hotel so we were hoping to have a good experience.

The room was great. Front desk was super friendly, but there was a 10-minute wait to check in. There was no TV remote in the room. One was brought up, but the guy didn't get the full story because he asked for the one that didn't work. In the restaurant (not the coffee bar), at breakfast, both espresso drinks were served in paper travel cups. Now, that's tacky. When I asked the server about it, she replied that that's all they have. Huh? I was promised at $10 credit for food or drinks, from my membership, but it didn't show up on the receipt. For a premium hotel, there were too many hiccups. But it is a really nice facility in a great location.

Always an amazing stay! Would always recommend! Beautiful hotel and rooms!

They have a wonderful staff and an awesome gym. We stay here whenever we find ourselves visiting family in Spokane. It’s super walkable to tons of restaurants and bars as well as across the street from riverfront park.

The staff does not resolve problems or concerns. Very unprofessional management team, I will never stay at this property again.

Great place to stay, with a great location to access the downtown attractions. Staff was helpful and rooms were amazing. Price is on the steeper side which is to be expected of a place of this caliber.

All of it. Location is perfect for an evening walk and some late-night bar hopping. Rooms are spacious and clean. Beds are some of the most comfortable I've ever slept in at a hotel. Showers are powerful, and bathroom amenities are plenty. The city view from where we were on the 11th floor were very pleasant. I've stayed here before, and will absolutely stay again. Top notch hotel. The surprise charge for "resort fees" and parking. Not ideal, but understandable for this hotel.

Very comfortable bed It was next to impossible to get ordinary cable TV programing. It was obvious that the intent was to manipulate people into opting for programing that generated payments, This was not only annoying, but it also seemed deliberately deceptive. There were no materials in the room to sugggest local attractions or places to eat etc. I was surprised that there was no airport shuttle service which used to be standard in even mid range hotels.

We were shuttled to a different property that was not the Grand. They were apparently overbooked! We did not get a king size bed, we did not get any information about amenities and the in hotel food was not hot and the care was very haphazard. This was a very disappointing experience. They had called and left a message asking us to call in the afternoon but we were out of cell contact. When we arrived we were told about the change. There was no indication of an adjustment just that they were sorry about it. I have not followed up yet with the hotel yet but I will! Not what we expected at all and our first bad experience with Expedia ever!

The bar was well stocked.

The main restaurant had been closed for 4 months and yet they had not taken the property down from Open Table so we were allowed to make reservations. The robes and towels were old and frayed. There was no maid service. There was no on property pool. We pre purchased breakfast and found out it was just grab and go and many items there were not covered ( nothing at all healthy or that a diabetic could eat). Overall very disappointing stay.
- 5/5
The bar has a good menu with a great selection of alcohol, beer and wine. The bartenders make a great martini! The coffee bar that is also very good. They have Starbucks coffee and fresh pasties made by the hotel kitchen. Our favorite is the breakfast burrito. Our room was clean, but service was spotty and in the end we had to request maid service after 3 nights.

Paid $400/night and then got charged another $40 (plus tax) for a Resort Fee. No pool, no golf, no outdoor space, nothing Resort. The only “amenties” were a tiny plastic bottle of water (the tap water is fine) and really crappy imitation Keurig coffee. we checked out to find that 2 days of $28/day “self parking” came to $103. Don’t bother.
- 5/5
Clean, convenient, very accommodating

Staff help varies quite a bit here. Some are great and others are super rude. Irritating when they act like I’m wasting their time trying to check into my room.

The rooms were beautiful! However, I was there for a romantic getaway and the entire hotel was full of middle school boys for basketball!!! Very disruptive!!

Valet was understaffed. Restaurant was fantastic. Zachary an Emily are top notch!!

I like it. The location is excellent; the only issue was with breakfast. We had to wait over half an hour for a table, and then the buffet ran out of food. It took a long time to have breakfast.

We stayed at this hotel as a mini getaway for my husband and me. We traveled from the tri cities, the hotel is in a great location, close to restaurants and shopping. Hotel was fairly busy so check in was a little bit of a wait. We had to let the front desk know about our shower gel being out and needed a refill. Staff was friendly and professional. I used the gym once and it was nice and clean. Alot of equipment to use. The room was clean and comfortable. Would stay here again.
- 5/5
Great beds, no pool!
- 5/5
Didn’t use any of the amenities honestly as we were there for a cheer comp and rarely at the hotel. However the staff were lovely, felt very safe and secure there and overly clean! Loved it.

Wonderful property and staff! Always love to stay here!

Nice clean rooms in a good area. The bar was okay, not great. Drinks-4 Service -6
- 5/5
The rooms and property were modern, amazing and clean. Our bed was comfy and our room had a big tub and a fireplace we loved! I liked there was a coffee shop, a bar and a restaurant in the hotel, I didn’t love a $20 resort fee for 2 water bottles I would think In a hotel like that the resort fee would mean better shampoos, soaps and “room treats,” but that was the only complaint we did love the hotel and room over all and will definitely stay here again.

We spent quite a bit of money for Valentine's Weekend. Already had tickets to the show. We reserved our room through Expedia. I am a Marriott member, and did not remember this Davenport reservation qualified for points. Reserved ADA suite w/fireplace for 2 nights, months in advance. I called ahead twice to confirm with the front desk. Twice. Confirmed. Got there, our room was gone. Given to another couple for the weekend. No other ADA suite available. We were put in a 2 King Double on the 8th floor. This is no upgrade. There was no discount. No refund. No comp. No fireplace or sofa to relax. All the extra fees were added. No Marriott points. Only one dining option at the bar. The steakhouse was closed for renovation (during a holiday weekend). Miscommunication happens sometimes with Expedia, but not if the hotel is on top of their availability, so this fail lands squarely on the Davenport staff. Kind of like a bait and switch. I should have been told when I called directly to confirm, but there was no explanation other than the one ADA suite in that category was (in reality) never available for our dates of stay. I wish I could say this is the first problem we've had with the Davenport Collection, but it is not. Three of the locations now have provided excuses, room changes, under-staffed amenities, downright poor service especially in the past couple of years. These properties are the Grand, the Centennial, and Historic Davenport downtown. I am inclined not to stay again.
- 4/5
Very comfy. Had a handicap person with me, the doors to the room are so heavy and difficult to mange by myself opening and getting a wheelchair in.

Staff were great, room was very clean and nice. Highly recommend
- 4/5
Overall great stay was able to get in room early
- 5/5
Spotless room, go for the upgrade and get the view of Riverfront Park or the city. Bed was very comfortable and the hot water in the shower was endless.
- 4/5
The room was lovely and it was certainly an upscale hotel. The only reason I didn't provide 5 stars is that although it was an incredibly convenient location for us (right across the road from a musical we went to see) a big part of that convenience was knowing that there was a sky bridge that connected the hotel to the theater and knowing we didn't have to be out in the cold was a big factor in booking this location. However, they close the sky bridge in the evenings and don't allow hotel visitors to use it passed a certain time. This part was very disappointing to find out (we might of prepared a little better for being out in the cold, even if it was for a short while). Everything else about our stay was amazing. The rooms were wonderful and dining within the hotel was great too.

Excellent staff, beautiful physical plant. The "resort fee" is just greedy. As are the parking fees.
- 5/5
Clean, ultra comfortable bed and pillows.
- 5/5
The only two things I was disappointed about were that valet parking is not included with your stay and has a $35 charge. The robes in our room had large rips and holes in them. I understand having some frey but not holes. Other than that everything was perfect!
- 3/5
First impression: Check in was a breeze, but once we got to our floor almost every room had piles of sheets, black garbage bags and/or dishes sitting on the floor outside the doors. It gave me a huge ick right off the bat! Mind you, it was past 6pm when we checked in and the hotel was not busy at all. We got to our room and it was clean. We left for the evening and when we came back, some of the sheets were gone, but the dishes and bags of garbage were still there! At this point it’s past midnight. We got into bed and the pillow cases were clean, but they kind of stunk like sweat. I used my sweater as a pillow. Throughout the night the HVAC unit kept knocking so in had to turn it off, but the blankets were so thin I had to turn it on again because I was cold. I barely slept. I was told this was a luxury hotel, but it’s really lacking where it counts most. My skin feels itchy and I want to go home!! The best thing I have to say is that checkout was noon, which was nice because I needed the extra sleep. The shower was nice too. I’m not sure if I’ll be back or not.

Nice place and a great location.

We mistakenly booked this hotel, thinking we booked at the 1919 Autograph hotel on Post Street. It was a nice mistake as the room was excellent, with great views of the river. It was very convenient to the Riverside shopping and dining area. The Skate ribbon and parks are just across the street. All in all, it worked out great for us.
- 3/5
Everything was awesome... except.... the mattress. Old, saggy mattresses are NOT improved by mattress toppers.
- 3/5
When thery first gave us room and we went up the room had not been cleaned so they had to move us to another room which was 2 floors down so no view

The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. That was a surprise because normally the beds are so comfortable. After my first stay at the Davenport I even looked into getting one of their mattresses (they had a Davenport mattress for sale at a local mattress store that just went out of business). We were really looking forward to sleeping in but the bed was so awful we checked out earlier than we planned. I checked out and asked if there was anything else and the receptionist said no which is what I expected. Two days later we got charged 21 for what other hotels call resort fees (I think they called it an event fee, I don’t remember what they were calling it). I was confused because I’d already paid a fee with that name when I booked the hotel. I called and was told I didn’t actually pay it that you don’t get charged until you get there even though it lists it. I have traveled a lot and every other hotel that has an extra charge has told me when I checked in and some even reiterate it when I check out. I should have fought it but I didn’t. I’m so disappointed. I don’t like surprises on my cc. I loved staying at the Grande and Historic Davenport hotels. In fact I was going to book a night for the next weekend because we had another fundraiser downtown but between the bed and surprise fee I won’t stay there again. I gave it 3 stars because it’s a beautiful hotel and the staff is typically exceptional.

Beautiful room! The automatic shade was great for keeping the room dark. My only complaint is the bed spread is pretty much a sheet. Luckily I brought a blanket. I expected more comfort in that area.

Very clean room. Friendly staff.
- 5/5
They rooms were nice and spacious. The restaurant and bar was great and the staff were very courteous
- 3/5
Check-in gave a bad first impression, as line wandered out to entrance. Six counters, but effectively only two staffed for checking in. Room downsides: can hear neighbor toilets flush; no soap in shower; single-ply, see-through toilet paper; no tea, just coffee; and large, bright alarm clock off by several hours. Room upsides: very roomy; ample hot water; fluffy towels; and minifridge in closet. Six elevators so no waiting. Valet parking was fast but expensive. Starbucks on-site. Hotel restaurant was good and reasonably (for a hotel) priced.
- 5/5
To improve: The ((young) valet was crabby at check-in, wanting me to move my car to the street when there was literally one car in the entrance. I was there no more than five minutes. Overall a great hotel- they should be very proud of their operation.
- 5/5
Room was nice and clean, I loved everything about it.

Beautifully appointed hotel and rooms. Clean and quiet. Directly across the street from the theatre making it an easy walk to the show. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Appreciated and utilized Valet parking, but free parking is available in a lot across the street. We opted for a late dinner after the show in the bar. The food was well prepared and presented. We did not have breakfast at the hotel as we were meeting friends for breakfast elsewhere. Enjoyed our stay, and will definitely book a future stay.

The disappointment was receiving our folio after we had already left to realize that the $35 valet parking was actually $60-no explanation was given to us about having the extra fee. We might have considered parking our car ourself had we known. The valet employee we interacted with a few times was beyond helpful and was key to making us feel welcome.
- 4/5
The staff was helpful. There were extra charges tacked on top of what we had to pay Expedia. Parking is $28 a night. The room doors were very HEAVY and difficult to hold open. My husband's room key never did open the room door. The toilet paper was of very poor quality for a high end hotel!

The Davenport was a nice hotel. Clean and nicely decorated. Rooms were welcoming with robes and plenty of towels. Our 2nd stay and would stay in the future.

Be careful where you book. We THOUGHT we were booking the historic Davenport Hotel. This is NOT THAT. Very disappointed that we didn’t get the experience we wanted. This hotel is just fine, but it’s not the historic Davenport.

The staff was outstanding. They were gracious and kind. It is close to the University of Idaho, and right next to a great walking path.

Hidden charges. Room wasn’t as clean as I would’ve have liked, bathroom and shower especially.
- 4/5
The valet attendants & the staff in the lobby bar were wonderful. The area was very nice & clean & accessible to shops etc.
- 4/5
This property was great with a couple drawbacks. Check in was nice and easy and the place was surprisingly quiet for how busy it was. Drawbacks would be the room view. We were under the impression all rooms had decent views. Ours was of the HVAC.... Housekeeping finally came after 6pm. The shower was super underwhelming. I've stayed before and thought the suite would be nicer...It really wasn't.
- 5/5
We had a wonderful time at the Davenport Grand! Staff was so friendly and helpful! Loved the location as it was walking distance to everything we needed! Food and wine was wonderful.
- 3/5
The reservation included parking, but because we had disabled people in the party we wished to use valet. The hotel refused to either refund the 2nd parking fee or apply it the valet, which I felt was very unfair. The room we waited for to be cleaned was not clean, and the tub was had hair and an ant in it. Despite being a "junior suite" the only different from the standard king seemed to be a bathtub. I did not think it was noticeably bigger, and the view was terrible. It was much closer to the elevator, which was nice for the disabled members of our party. When we checked in there was food from room service and dirty laundry sitting around in the hall, and it was still there 3 hours later when we left for dinner. No one would answer the phone at the valet desk, so it took 30 minutes to get our car out of valet. The beds are very comfortable.
- 5/5
It was a nice stay!
- 5/5
Great experience. Great views.
- 4/5
Large room with nice bedding. Hotel was sort of deserted but we never got our room cleaned despite pushing the button for service when out of the room for several hours. "breakfast included" was just a 14 dollar credit which did not cover the oatmeal for 16 dollars- lame
- 5/5
Great hotel! I booked for a wedding and the hospitality was top class. They even upgraded my room for free, no charge! The room was beautiful with an awesome view of the city and clock tower. I would recommend a stay here to anyone!

- 5/5
Fantastic place. There should be a rating above 5 stars for places like this.
- 4/5
If you like a modern feel, this is the place for you. The staff was super helpful and very generous. I booked through Expedia and they misspelled my name and they did not book me for two beds. There were three people in my party. So I’m sure you can understand my concern. However, the hotel check in staff, did not give up and, finally figured out the booking issue! I have never felt so relieved. She even upgraded us to a room with a beautiful view and two king-size beds. I was so grateful. Thank you, Sunny! You were definitely my hero! You made a very stressful moment easy.

Great staff and location.

I stayed here 2 years ago and I was very unhappy with the housekeeping service. Back then, we had 2 rooms, and in 4 days they did not give us towels or clean the rooms after repeated requests. I decided to give them another chance this year and was pleasantly surprised. We had 3 rooms for our family and all were cleaned and towels restocked daily. Has the management changed since 2 years ago? I would highly recommend this hotel after this last stay.

Great location in Spokane. Beautiful hotel overall but the beds were uncomfortably soft and bathrooms needed a deep clean. The front desk staff was kind and professional which was very appreciated. Overall a good stay. Thank you.

Staff were excellent friendly and helpful I would recommend this hotel and plan on staying here again

Last minute choice and the staff was very friendly and helpful

Gorgeous. What a treat.

Beautiful hotel, there was a large group of teenagers there for a meeting that were typical teens ( little loud at times) overall a great weekend. Rooms were well designed and equipped, loved the shower. More then I usually spend but definitely felt the luxury.

Excellent property. Always enjoyable to stay at.
- 5/5
It’s disappointing that no swimming pool at the hotel.
- 5/5
Your staff is amazing and I hope they are valued and appreciated!

During a 9-city tour by car in the US and Canada, this was the best hotel... by a big margin!
- 5/5
Very Good nice place to stay.

I was just there fo an IDAA meeting, it was good for this

So,.. he didn’t have a blanket… thank goodness the sheets were clean. I called down and the girl at the front desk says, “Oh, I’m sorry they weren’t supposed to use those ones.” I call back down the next day to ask… and the lady says that the brown is from feathers gathering. Even though the other blanket didn’t look that way. I’m not one to complain… but when i pay $1,300 for two nights… it wasn’t even worth it. I know they were just, but show some customer service. I got the room, so i could go in and rest in between games, and not have to worry about parking, I really don’t know if i want to go back. I’m so bummed? Because it is right downtown Spokane.

Every thing was lovely. The shampoo & conditioner smell very strongly. If you like the smell, great for you. I think it smells like church lady perfume that clings to you all day after the one hug.

The room is very nice! We came for our anniversary and they upgraded our room which was awesome! Very friendly staff at the restraunt as well. It's been a wonderful stay!

Spacious rooms were great.

N/A
- 4/5
The food was a little on the expensive side
- 3/5
It was okay, just very over priced. $1200 for two nights is a little much in my opinion and no pool or hot tub. Wouldn’t stay there again for that price.
- 5/5
Great location, nice facility.
- 4/5
At this price point, I would expect that there would be toiletries such as toothbrush, toothpaste. The bed and linens were fine. Pillows excellent. TV should have option to sign into netfix, it did not. Overall the service was good, the check in was solid and we were comfortable.
- 4/5
Good hotel, great location downtown. Service at the restaurant snd the lobby lounges was lousy and there are few choices for vegetarians. There is not a single snack machine anywhere in the hotel.
- 1/5
Charge you random fees for just staying in the room. They tell you it’s just a security deposit that will be returned but they find some way to charge you the security deposit in fees and then don’t return the deposit. Huge scam.
- 5/5
Parking is very pricy.
- 5/5
Walking distance to many restaurants.

Couldnt deliver towels to room in 2 days despite repeated calls, valet always took over 20 mins to get car back, and they scratched my left bumper on last day (sunday). Will push them to pay me back
- 5/5
Great room.
- 5/5
A very beautiful Hotel. Beds were comfortable! Plenty of elevators, excellent service from check in to valet service. The only thing i would suggest is storing extra blankets in the room. Everything else was perfection
- 5/5
Check in staff was very welcoming and efficient.
- 5/5
Close to everything good at Spoken! No homeless people around!
- 5/5
Hotel location, comfort and amenities are all outstanding.
- 5/5
OMG best place ever. Friendly and helpful staff. Great room. Food was very good at the bar. Will be back and going to recommend to all our family and friends.

Probably my favorite hotel .. love how understated yet elegant this hotel feels…..whoever the decorator was is a bit of a genius.
- 5/5
Easy check-in and exactly what we were looking for. Right across the street from the Arts center
- 5/5
Amazing facility and room.
- 5/5
Great stay! Would definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
Perfect for seeing a show and spending time downtown
- 4/5
I love the location and the staff was wonderful. I just think that parking should be included with the room charge. It’s very expensive to park.
- 2/5
Parking was not included and so it was a $35/night hidden fee! The TV was UNUSABLE because the remote was so slowly unresponsive! Absurd: it took 5- 10 seconds to react to any input. Fix the TV and validate guest parking. I would NEVER stay in this propery again.
- 5/5
Location was great.
- 5/5
My wife and I had the perfect stay while celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. The room was excellent, the property was beautiful, and the staff was outstanding.
- 5/5
Great location and great staff. We had a large group and even enjoyed being able to all hangout in the comfy lobby seating areas and in the bar area.
- 5/5
Always a great place to stay!
