Breakfast was fresh and very good. Staff was helpful, and the property was very inviting.

We only stayed one night but everything was great! Parking wasn’t difficult, room access was easy and our room was very clean!

Our room had a lot of pet hair on the box spring and floor. The bathroom was just barely clean, it could’ve definitely used more attention. The parking was fine and the staff were friendly enough. Over all just a “decent” place to stay for a night but I wouldn’t have been pleased with an extended stay.

It felt safe and spacious. Our room smelled and felt damp and we couldn’t get rid of that smell or feel even with running the AC for hours on high. Otherwise, things were nice but having a run that felt and smelled uncomfortably wet feeling was very off-putting. I don’t know if the guests before us dripped pool water everywhere or what but it was concerning. I wish I would have said something and tried to get a different room… my fault

The facility was clean and the staff was friendly. The attached restaurant was adequate. Breakfast was adequate. The price was high for a pretty standard hotel. Breakfast was fine, but nothing special.

Staff was very friendly. Air conditioning unit was awful. Super noisy and too loud to sleep in cool mode, and using fan mode (no cool) just made the room humid and stinky. The AC unit alone made the room super uncomfortable and just gross feeling.

We really enjoyed the large, clean room.

The place was clean and quite, the swimming pool is currently out of service. They had small dietary options for breakfast but overall pretty good experience staff was kind and they replenished whatever we needed like towels and soap upon request. Its surrounded by plenty of shopping and food options as well.

The pool was closed but it was indoors and we weren’t planning on swimming anyway. The breakfast was okay. We had eaten there on Friday as we were headed to our destination. While not bad, it wasn’t what we were wanting for breakfast so we decided to eat at a local restaurant on our return home The room was very quiet and we heard almost no outside noise. We will absolutely recommend this place.

The receptionist was very helpful and friendly! We got the jacuzzi room and I highly recommend it. Clean room, amazing breakfast. Very quiet.

Occasionally, I frequent Springfield, Illinois when I visit relatives from out of town. This will be my go to location when I need a place to stay.

I have stayed here before and chicken is always quick and courteous rooms are clean and so are the grounds and they accept my service.Dog and that really helps too. Use the pool that evening to decompress.And the good breakfast before I left.

I’ve stayed there several times and really enjoy the property. The breakfast is excellent, and everything is always as it should be.

Dirty. Heater/AC unit had dirty vents and didn’t work at all. Knob fell off. Musty smell of smoke and/or mold. Very very little elbow room. Dated and dirty. Had to leave and staff informed me to request a refund from Expedia since I had to leave within a minute or two after assessing the room. (Had to wait for a staff member to return to front desk both at check-in and trying to leave 5 minutes later).

Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Lots of parking, friendly staff. The breakfast was well stocked, and the lady working there was constantly organizing and keeping things tidy. There is a Mexican restaurant in the same parking lot and a few other choices across the road.

This hotel was okay. Decent breakfast, clean rooms, staff were helpful. Our main complaint is that the beds were very uncomfortable and we struggled to get any rest on them.

One of the two nights I stayed here, I got it an amazing rate however I didn't have any hot water and I got too late to really have the energy to deal with it. I checked out and re-checked in the next day and got a different room in a different part of the hotel triple the rate however I had hot water and the desk person was terrific. I would stay here again. Safe, convenient.

Parking was easy! Got a very inexpensive rate this night however, I did not have hot water for showers. This night only this room only. The next night was better.

I only had time for breakfast once in a week there and it was fine. The staff is friendly and helpful. Parking is easy most of the time. There were a couple things in the room that needed fixing and the maintenance guy resolved them quickly.

A good hotel to make a stop at for one day. I enjoyed everything about the hotel except their bathrooms because they need updating. The bathroom that we got made you feel like you were at a hospital. Overall, our room was very clean and the breakfast was good.

The room was nice and very spacious. I saw one or two spots in the room that I could see without even searching that were not swept well (behind bathroom door and just under the kitchen sink). I wish there was more light near that awesome wall mirror. With my bad back, I had to sit there to comb my hair. Otherwise, I was satisfied. The common areas were nice and clean. I exited a side door to go to my car. My key card stopped working and I couldn't get back in. I had to drive around to the main entrance; staff was pleasant and responsive.

Cable didn’t work the first night. More family friendly than business friendly.

The hotel was really nice as well as the staff. Breakfast was good too. However our issue is the next day after staying here our son ended up with multiple bug bites on his body. Three on his neck, two on one arm and one on his other arm. I also have bite marks on both of my legs that look the same as his.

(Spfld) If fridge just had freezer compartment to recharge travel icepaks, would have been perfect.

We’ve stayed here many many times over the last 2 years and sadly the hotel is in need of a major refurbishing. Our last room had a toilet ready to tip over. 2 stays earlier the bathtub had a hole in it that was covered with a mat that still felt like you were going to fall through. All the shower heads need replaced. Sinks are clogged or slow. Room doors are cracked with gaps that do not make you feel completely private. We will stay loyal as the people and service are tops but hope a renovation is in the plans.

Breakfast was mid. Eggs were watery, room was crowded, and the lady that worked there was filling food and but in front of me (literally both days I was there) like she couldn’t wait two seconds for me to get my food. I’d be less mad if I wasn’t also trying to watch my toddler who was sitting at a table alone and I was trying to get her food. The lady at the front desk wasn’t very friendly upon check in, but the lady when I checked out was very friendly. My kid loved the pool but it was dirty. There was a ring around the edge that could easily be cleaned and looked like it hadn’t been in a while. There was a lamp in the corner of our room that looked like it had never been dusted, and around the toilet was pretty crusty. It’s a place to stay. I’d probably stay there again because it’s cheap. But I know here in Springfield it’s slim pickings. Everything is just so outdated and dark.

My husband and I stay here frequently and we love the deluxe jacuzzi suite. Beds are comfortable, jacuzzi is nice, and the staff is friendly. Breakfast consists of scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, various pastries, fruit and yogurt, bagels, oatmeal, cereal, coffee and juices. Good variety to pick from. Def an added bonus that Xochimilco is just a short walk down the hallway if you love Mexican like we do!

The first night when we got ready for bed we pulled down the sheets and there was blood spots on the sheets we had to wait for someone to come change the sheets the second night was noisy there were kids running up and down the hall hollering and apparently nothing was said

There was a huge smell of marijuana. The air conditioning sounded like a train, too noisy. Thank God it was just one night. We left very early.

This hotel was just so-so. It was budget friendly and clean. The pool was nice for my kids, breakfast was average. My room smelled faintly of dog, the air conditioner made a rattling noise whenever ran, and the outlets on one side of the bed did not work at all. Overall if you aren't spending a lot of time here it's ok. When I told the front desk about the dog smell she said ok, in a rushed way and had her hand on the phone like she was just waiting for me to finish so I didn’t even mention the rest. Definitely not my favorite hotel and would choose a different place to stay next time.

We were on our way to a previously booked hotel, when we found that it had issues and was closed?? Hotel.com was our favorite go-to, and again helped to save the day. Northfield Inn was perfect in location, eye appeal, friendliness, cleanliness, and a spacious room!! We also very much enjoyed their breakfast buffet- well stocked & fresh!

Some loud noise, sounded mechanical whirling or whistling started at 6am on Sunday morning and went off for like an hour. Seemed to be coming from other room or above us. We were in room 256.

Liked everything. The young lady the evening clerk was so helpful,kind , sweet and knowledgeable. All of the daytime people were so nice and helpful. Fantastic receptionist who recommended great restaurants. We went to Xochimilco, nice Mexican next-door: they had better food than in the Southwest... and we were coming from Arizona and New Mexico :-) Hotel also has very easy access to all local touristic spots. Big, nice rooms, with pleasant and somewhat different decorations.

The staff and the property was wonderful. We booked a family room and had 3 little ones. There was more than enough space for them to get their energy out after some time in the car. We heard the breakfast was awesome, but it was a typical hotel breakfast - eggs, sausage, fruit, pastries, waffles, oatmeal and cereal. Not complaining though, just thought it was going to be a little different. Otherwise, will definitely stay again!

Very nice except there was no room service in our three day stay. Called desk about it on third night and had to go down and get our own fresh towels. They had no service on to take care of garbage. aThere was a dehumidifier in our room that we emptied twice daily. No one was taking care of that either. We found a different, small, plastic item in each of the two beds on the first night. The bedding appeared to be fresh so waited until the morning to report the findings. We never heard back regarding the matter.

Normally have no complaints with this hotel, but the conditioner bottle in the shower was empty and the hair dryer did not work. Otherwise a pleasant stay.

I stayed off and on for several days while I had a family member in the hospital. Nearly all the times were good although one night there was a huge group of guys who where there for a golf tournament. They were drunk and obnoxious and so loud - which wasn't the fault of the hotel, however, management needed to call in someone to help the woman at the front desk. Besides that, I had very good experiences with the hotel. I will definitely stay again.

The entire room smelled. There was a humidifier running when we walked in so I assume there had been a leak or maybe they steam vacuumed the carpets. But the smell was the worst. It irritated my asthma. Overall I the rooms were just not clean. Dates is ok if it’s clean. And I’m sure I could have asked for another room but I was alone with my daughter and it was hard enough to unload everything by myself and get it into the room we we just dealt with it.

We enjoy this hotel! Good breakfast and always clean

As always the stay was excellent. This time they were even more accomodating as we had a medical emergency and needed to add on days to our stay. Not a problem and they kept us in the same room.
