Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Springfield Main Street

The property and rooms were clean, the desk staff was very helpful. Our main problem was the odor in our room itself. It was very musty, and we tried airing it out by opening the window any time we were in the room, and also keeping the fan on all day and night. Unfortunately, the odor remained. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and there was good water pressure in the shower. If it weren't for the odor, everything would've been great.

The room was comfortable and perfectly clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay.

This was perfect for a simple overnight stay - no fringes, no swimming pool, no breakfast - but worked well for us.

Property advertises "good breakfast included". Upon checking in we were informed management did away with breakfast and only had coffee and tea! However it was still being advertised as included! We would've stayed somewhere else if we had known.... or at least been prepared. We won't be staying there again!

The price was reasonable for a big event weekend in the Eugene/Springfield area (which is not true of most other hotels). The room was simple and clean, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The Dairy Mart convenience store right across the street has sandwiches and other items for a quick lunch or snack. The booking page and my confirmation message claimed this hotel provided free breakfast (and when we stayed here last year, they had breakfast) when we made our reservations--this is NOT true anymore. They do not provide breakfast, although they did provide coffee and tea (with flavored creamers) and juice.

Location Clean

The room was very well outfitted with easy chair, desk , spacious bathroom. The internet connection was very bad. We couldn't use our computer and only could use our phones a limited amount.

Clean for the price. You know I’ve seen this survey come across many times and thought I’d ignore it given my experience but since I got yet another, I’ll explain. There is no signs out front stating check in here. So we pulled up to the front to check in just outside the door. (where you usually park to check in at any other hotel) It takes 5 minutes or less to check in. The woman working didn’t even say hello when we walked in. She abruptly and quite honestly, rudely, told us “you can’t park there” like alright hello to you too. My fiance went and moved the car and never came back in. She later explained there’s a disabled person who is out right now and she doesn’t know when they will be back. We were not in a disabled spot. Had said person happened to of come back we would have gladly moved. We both serve adults with intellectual disabilities so believe us when we say we’d never want to further complicate any disabled persons day. She could have said hi welcome here to check in? While we do this is someone maybe able to move the vehicle just incase said disabled person returns? It’s the principal. Hospitality isn’t that hard. Especially when you’re getting paid for it. It really was an unfortunate start to a quick stay.

Yes, I asked for a bathtub and got walk in shower. Took an hour to figure out TV Clock radio wasn't working, replaced finally and the one brought me for replacement was worse.

The room was nice and clean. Hotel does not offer breakfast anymore. Staff stated since November like we should have known. The website needs to be updated.

Clean room for our 1 night stay

The heater was having a loud issue when turning off every time throughout the night. Very loud noise that we told the front desk staff about.

Room was very clean and I so appreciated no carpet in the room but vinyl plank floor. So much more clean. We were here for a volleyball tournament and this was very close to the Keefer facility and I was very pleased with the Econo lodge.

No Internet No TV

Room was clean and well stocked. Staff was friendly. Parking lot is tight and feels like there isn’t enough spaces if the hotel is full. Part of the reason I booked is because it said they have breakfast which they did not have at the time of our stay. When I checked in the lady said “we had coffee and juice over here” and that is exactly what they had. There were no food items. Had I known that would be one thing but I was expecting a continental breakfast.

Staff is amazing!! Rooms are clean. Parking is awful and they got rid of breakfast.

Very nice stay. Good quality for the price on a busy weekend. The staff was very attentive and welcoming, especially with dealing with multiple check ins and a phone ringing off the hook. The rooms were updated and nice. Good and comfortable. The location is situated nicely near the springfield downtown area and eateries. Very nice stay.

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was incredibly accommodating and considerate. Our TV wasn't working when we got there and they upgraded our room immediately. You can tell they take great care of the facility and care about their guests enjoying their stay. The cost was appropriate and actually beat competitors' prices for what they offer. We will return the next time we're in Eugene.

Staff was friendly, hotel has been remodeling over the past few months. Out of respect for Guests all noise stops at 4:30pm. Our stay was good. Beds: clean, new platform beds were being put into each room. The beds was comfortable. Although, need to be careful when sitting down on the bed because it will slide on yhe laminate floor.

This hotel was great! Very clean and maintained, breakfast was small but got the job done. We stayed 3 nights and it was great.

The hotel is clean and rooms are updated. The breakfast isn’t great - pretty much just a single waffle maker. Sometimes fresh fruit. If you visit during a busy weekend you could be asked to park in a different business’ parking lot because they don’t have enough spots in their parking lot.

The staff was friendly. The room is fairly clean. However they said $100 deposits will take 3 business days to get back. The parking lot is tiny and there are not enough parking spaces. Breakfast area has only three small tables and breakfast doesn’t have any hot deli like egg, sausages or patties.

This is a great hotel for the price! It's clean, comfortable, and quiet. My only complaints are there's no waffle maker as shown in the pic and I only received cleaning service 2 out of the 5 days I was there. I'm sure if I had called and requested, someone would've come. Also, one of the reasons I chose this hotel was because the pic showed a waffle maker for continental breakfast, but I never saw one no matter what time I went down for breakfast. I was not happy about this at all!☹️ Yes, it's that serious to me. Lol

I was given a room that was already being used. Found two sets of luggage, slippers and an iPad being charged. Nice gifts, I thought. But went back to the front desk for a new room. They apologized and granted a new room.

Stayed here for a wedding. Room was nice and clean and in a convenient location to everything. Pretty average hotel experience. Breakfast was a joke and I found it weird you couldn’t bring back food to your room yet they had a fridge and microwave. Overall I had a good experience but don’t expect luxury.

I was very tired from driving and just wanted to relax and watch tv. I showered and propped up the pillows but knew the smell of dirty old pillows! I could not get comfortable all night.

Our actual room at the EconoLodge was clean. The smell in the room was cleaning products covering up, or mixing with a less desirable smell. There were strange rules. Based on the smells in the hallway, people were definitely eating in their rooms (which you should be able to do) but there were posted signs that you may not take breakfast items to your room. Breakfast was very limited, even in comparison to other Choice Hotels. We are having a very difficult time communicating with staff. We have been over charged, and on 2 different accounts. Getting this fixed has been very difficult. There are not enough parking spots for the hotel, so it was not uncommon to not have a place to park, and then you would have to get a special permit to park at the dispensary next door. The allowed parking spots are not in view of the hotel, and walking along from your car back to the hotel did not feel safe.

I had noise issues every day - the room next to me woke me up with their loud TV at 3:45 am, and the following night their child was making so much noise, running around and screaming that I couldn't get to sleep. Not the fault of the hotel, although perhaps they could soundproof the walls. The third day of my stay, the hotel had workmen repairing the room on the other side of me with drills and more noise. I went to ask when they would be finished, and one of the staff offered to move me to a different room, which I accepted. I appreciated the thoughtful gesture, although after three days of noise issues, and I was leaving the following morning, it was a little too late. Apart from that, the room was minimal but clean and updated. The continental breakfast was also minimal. The breakfast seating area was unwelcoming and uncomfortable, with no windows and hard, plastic chairs.

The motel was dingy and not at all what I paid for 6 months before when I booked this hotel. Overall, it was a horrible experience and the hotel staff here did very little to help, besides send us down the road to a crappy motel

Property advertised a free continental breakfast. The hotel offeted toast and orange juice. Afyer check in we were relaxing in our room and jotel staff opened our door without knocking to make sure we had a vountertop on our dtesset? Very unprofessional!

It's not fancy, but it's comfortable and clean and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are good, they don't feel dated, and the AC unit has a constant fan option for white noise. The breakfast isn't anything to write home about but all in all, the Econo Lodge is a good value for the price paid.

The guest services agent was very polite, the hotel was quiet and clean the room was comfortable and the breakfast was good. Will definitely stay again!

However the parking lot had a tall wall around it so it was secure parking with entrance near the office. I would stay there again.

Very noisy inside and out. Noises from passing cars along the road, worst of all the constant stomping from the room above. Practically a big foot staying above us. After complaining to staff, issues still persisted. Property was clean and manager was friendly.

Found this to be a great option. While it is a little far from the U of O campus, and the surrounding businesses look a little sketchy, the staff was amazing and the facilities were basic and clean.

disgusting room, lots of hair and dirt in and on top of the bed, floors were sticky, had a foul smell. the outside was not welcoming at all.

I would not stay there again felt unsafe,the lock on my door was broken, it was not a safe part of town,the lobby was dirty, the room was clean, I tried to take a bath in the morning and the water was lukewarm. Just was not happy with my stay

Really run down area, hotel was under construction, the fumes from the construction kept my daughter up all night coughing. The traffic was heavy and loud outside until 3 am. Needless to say I didn’t sleep a wink.I tried to check out early the next morning to find out that wasn’t an option as I had booked through Expedia and there is no customer service number, email or chat to be found. Will never stay here again or book a reservation through Expedia.

We had to get a room down the street from our home due to an ice storm that devastated our area, no power, or water. This hotel saved the day, Alexis at the reception was welcoming and so thorough, she is a very hard worker, they better count their lucky stars for her. The hotel had a flood on their 2nd floor, and it was so crazy all around but Alexis was so on top of everything! She should get employee of the month for sure! Everything was nice and clean and we so appreciated her.

I spilled dog food feom myvtravel bag and they charged me for violation of the pet policy even though I didn't have one. While checking in....i felt more like a trespasser than a customer.

The building was newly remodeled and everything was new. I was expecting a walk in shower as was pictured on the website but it was a step over tub. Otherwise it was great and the price was very good.

The property and my room were pristine. Everything was spotless and in great condition. Bed was comfortable. Pillows were meh, but I have rarely met a hotel pillow I liked. Adequate for a short stay. My only complaint, and it is minor, is that the small parking lot was almost completely flooded. There was no place to park where I could get out of my car without almost completely submerging my feet. There was a good 2" - 3" of water in the lot. Fortunately my boots were water resistant. Anything else would have been entirely soaked. But otherwise, very nice stay.

check in on a booked room that was paid for already took almost 15 min.. painfully slow and it was the same for the next guest, as I walked through to the elevator after grabbing my stuff they were still checking in.

A friend and I stayed here for 3 nights. We each had a room with a queen bed, microwave and fridge. We were very impressed with everything about the rooms. We had stayed at a Motel 6 the 3 days before that was a dump, had no fridge or microwave and was pretty much the same price. The Econo Lodge rooms were comfortable, clean and attractive. The beds and linens were comfortable and unlike the Motel 6, there was coffee and tea in the room and shampoo in the bathroom. There were easy to access A/C outlets next to the beds just above the surface of the night stand that also had fast charge usb outlets. We had no complaints and highly recommend.

It was clean, quiet and easy. Area surrounding hotel isn’t great but the hotel itself does everything to make it a nice hotel.

Property had a fire previously, lots of construction areas. Slight smoke smell. Booked on whim to stay after a ducks game, but after seeing the accommodations decided to drive home instead of stay.

Looks to have been recently remodeled. Nice and clean location. Breakfast was a bit mediocre but sufficed.

Lots of renovations going on and water damage on first floor and in the elevator. The floor is all ripped out, covered in plastic, and taped up with blue painters tape. Not what I expected for the price and based on other reviews. But the room is nice.

The construction started first thing in the morning, so no peacefully resting or sleeping in. I’m not exactly sure why the hotel would place paying customers in a room that had no other rooms near it, with work being done on all sides. It was not an enjoyable or restful experience. With all the issues and inconveniences, the stay was not worth the price in any fashion and will not go back nor recommend.

The parking is limited and the area is a bit sketch, but the hotel itself is very clean and tidy and the breakfast was a nice touch.

Doesn’t seem to be in a great part of town. The staff were nice and the rooms are overall decent/clean but you can hear EVERYTHING the people next to you do and say including people in the hall and people walking above you sound like elephant heards. Would not stay again

Floors inside the room were cleaner than expected and sheets were soft. Bathroom counter is long, plenty of room to lay items out. TV console/dresser was also long with plenty of room to spread things out. Breakfast is mostly cold items, although they do have a hot waffle iron and you can make your own oatmeal with hot water. If you come back late, there may not be parking left and you will need to find street parking. If there is another designated parking lot, was not made aware of it.
