Village Inn Springfield

Every other hotel was booked; this was the only available accommodation. Would not have booked if there was any other option. The beds were uncomfortable, the staff seemed unhappy, and the building was older and worn. The next day we checked into a hotel 45 minutes away just to avoid staying there another night.

The facilities were adequate

I will not stay here again. The room had not been vacuumed. The rooms were generally clean. The heat/ac took some figuring out. The mattress had a plastic liner on it, gross. The staff was friendly in person but not on the phone. Just koond of depressing.

The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I've slept on, we left early morning because we couldn't sleep there. Claimed to have AC, barely cooked cooled the room. There were ants in the bathroom.

Overall, excellent. Beds are a little uncomfortable and could use new pillows but everything else was perfect.

First, I had occasion to contact the property several times before our arrival and the staff could not have been nicer nor more pleasant to talk to and were very happy to accommodate my requests. Upon arrival, again the staff was beyond helpful and pleasant and went above and beyond to promise us coffee earlier than their normal set up time (we were out early fishing). The rooms were very clean and everything worked and even though we were close to the freeway, the traffic noise never bothered us. There was ample parking for our truck. Finally there are many restaurants nearby including a Chinese/sushi restaurant in the parking lot which was actually very good.

Room was poorly cleaned (dirty floor, mildew in shower). No weather strip on bottom of entry door (light shining in and can feel cold air coming through).

I like the location, close to everything I need when in Springfield. The room was basic but clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff there are very friendly and helpful. I will use them again in the future.

It was close to the highway; the parking was an angle parking-which is quite convenient. The shower had a handheld shower head and excellent water pressure. The air conditioning unit was dusty. Also, the mattress was worn out.

It was close to stores and close to my event The room stank of old cigarettes- like an ashtray. My 20 year old mattress is more comfortable than this bed. The faucet in the bath constantly dripped. It was old and out of date.

The room was fragrance free as requested, much appreciated.

Property is decent. Personally it was a little noisy for us because our room window was next to the ice machine. So we can hear everyone that came for ice. All the appliances worked well. We had a good stay.

The place was clean so bonus there. But the bed was reminiscent of sleeping on boulders. And loud like rustling plastic bags with every move. AC did not work. Luckily the chair was somewhat comfy to sleep for an hour.

The Pet walking area was underneath large evergreen trees with LOW branches, undergrowth and overgrown grassy area. The area that was walking accessible had twigs and small branches, NO grassy areas, just dirt.

Was disappointed when we arrived, it was an older run down motel that had an odor.

Grounds of the Inn were well kept, pleasant little garden area. Staff personable and they know the area, so a wealth of information!

Hotel is in a good area and well maintained and it was quite. Over all it's a nice hotel.

The Village innfolks were awesome. I had an extended stay for work and it was always safe, clean, and quiet.

This was a great hotel to stay at! Rooms were clean, staff members Frank and Anna were very helpful and supportive in the check out process, and the property looked and felt safe. I even forgot my wallet and they mailed it back to me! Wonderful stay for our athletic team and no complaints!

We have stayed here many times. It’s an older motel but is well kept, clean and always feels safe and is very adequate.

There is a Chinese/ Japanese restaurant 2 steps away within the parking lot. Nothing to shout about but extremely convenient.

Our one notable complaint concerns the mattresses. Both my wife and I found them quite uncomfortable, as they seemed to lack adequate support, to the point where I could actually feel the rails of the box spring or bed frame beneath me. I weigh 500 lbs, so I understand that may be a factor, but my wife, who weighs around 250 lbs, found it equally painful. It's worth flagging for the hotel, as the mattresses may simply be worn out and in need of replacement. Despite this issue, we would still consider returning and would recommend the hotel to others looking for an affordable and pleasant place to stay — just be aware that lighter sleepers may find the beds acceptable, while heavier guests might want to bring additional padding.

The property is so old you need to constantly try to figure out how to use the archaic heat and air conditioning systems. Otherwise, it would suit your needs.

The motel was perfect for us with two pets. It was clean, reasonably priced, and in a good location.

The room was clean but the mat in the bathroom was moldy. The staff was friendly and attentive, parking was well lite. The heater was noisy and the bed was lumpy.

For the price, you really can't complain. There are a few issue's but to be expected in a place for this price. Staff very friendly and accomodating. Was a bit concerning to see a smoke alarm in the room with sharpie date of 2017.. Electrical outlets were old and worn to the point plugs were very loose and would make lights flicker if the cord was slightly bumped when trying to plu in a phone charger (which had a hard time staying plugged in). Old/loose electrical outlets like that ARE a potential hazard. Eug-Spfld FD are you not making inspections!! Linens were fresh and clean. Old electric baseboard heat takes awhile to heat up, but does put out plenty of it. Multiple pillows of different type on the bed. Hopefully you find at least one that is OK for you. (I did). Bed mattress is very firm, probably equivalent to about a 100 in sleep number setting. 3 stars may be a bit harsh for a rating. Given the fair price, I will stay again when travel dictates .

Three concerns: the lamp closest to the front door didn't work, the shower/tub area had a little tile mold, and the bed was a bit old requiring sleep position to be in the center of mattress. Front desk folks cordial and offered to put me in another building for top floor room but in the end they had prepped and heated my room so I went with the assigned room.

Room was clean. Check in was easy. Appreciated the bottled water in the lobby and the granola bars.

Building is older, however, the room was spotless. Staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Grounds are immaculate. We arrived late at night and they had our room lights and heat on, anticipating our arrival! We've stayed several times.

Staff was great. The beds were very hard and the plastic protective covers on the mattresses were SO loud. Anytime someone moved it would make a lot of noise.

Loved the woman who checked us in! So friendly and helpful. Also the room was clean. Bed was comfy. Room decent size! Be aware it’s tucked off a busier road. It did not bother our sleep at all but in case you’re an extra light sleeper bring earplugs. Super cute exterior. No breakfast but for the cheaper price it made sense. We just brought a toaster and made bagels in the morning. Room is a little dated but again clean. Staff helpful and hotel itself was quiet! Definitely will stay here again if our daughter is in this same volleyball tournament next year!

Staff was super welcoming and sweet! Room was clean but bathroom wasn’t the best, a little rundown. Neighbors above us were pretty loud at 1 am and could be heard very easily and traffic was also pretty loud due to being next to the freeway. There was also no extra safety lock which made us a little nervous with the room being facing the public parking lot. Other than that it was a good stop for 1 night!

The walls are extremely thin. We had loud neighbors who were up late and then up early and listened to them most of the time we were there. The bed was uncomfortable. But the room was clean, the pricing was cheap and fine for a quick trip but we probably won’t choose here again.

I've stayed here multiple times while visiting my daughter at U of O. Always clean and a quick drive to campus.

So while this is a 70s era motel, the grounds are kept up very nicely and the rooms are somewhat updated but the main thing is they’re clean! They’re also very comfortable and the lobby is nice with the free coffee and popcorn. Staff is very helpful and this motel is very conveniently located right off the highway. There is no pool or breakfast, however. Would definitely recommend.

Accomodations satisfactory given the cost of the room. We were pleased. Cannot recommend the restaurant on the property, but there are many places close by.

My family and I had a good time the 4 nights we were there. Loved that they asked what I was comfortable when it came to them coming to clean my room and were very accommodating. Definitely loved that they had a microwave and a mini fridge, that was a plus for me

Everything was not bad our room was quiet and that was much appreciated. The lady that checked us in was very nice. The one thing that could improve, it wasn't the worst, is the cleanliness. The rugs had some stains some new showers would help the feeling of updated rooms. It could be a really great place with a few updates.

Front desk Frank was the best at check in! He was friendly, efficient, and funny. The hotel has a great location in the middle of lots of restaurants and shopping. Easy to get in and out of. Good, safe parking. The rooms are large and well equipped. Bedrooms and sinks are upgraded and nice. The bathrooms are nearing their age out and could use some TLC/remodeling. Overall a great place to stay.

Great place to stay when staying in the Eugene area

This was the perfect place for my son and I. We came into town for an Oregon Ducks game and I couldn't have asked for a better location. It's right next to the on and off ramps to get to the stadium about 5 miles down the road. The room was clean and the area was nice. Right near several restaurants. We didn't have to drive more than a mile to get food. If we are ever back in the area, we will definitely be booking this one again.

Our part of the motel had a nice courtyard where people relaxed, stretched, & worked on their laptops. Plenty of storage- drawers & closet in the room. Liked that it had two upholstered chairs in the room as well as an office chair. Didn't care for the pillows. I'm 6'4" and the bathroom presented some issues. The toilet is too low and installed too close to the wall. The shower head was approx. 5' tall (fixable).

While the property is older, it is clean, comfortable and well cared for.

Poor ventilation, old and dark, mold in the bathroom grout. I was very uncomfortable here and won’t be returning.

The room DID not match the property pics. Our room smelled musty and had a bunch of flies in it. It felt like we were in a basement. It honestly felt like we were in a horror film. We left as soon as we checked in.

I choose this location because it was pet friendly. It was. There was an area that my dog could relieve himself and poop bags were provided. The room was shabby, but the bed was comfortable. I bought dinner at the Chinese restaurant that is located on the hotel site. The food was good, but the woman at the desk seemed scared and upset. When I checked in the man at the desk had a political propaganda playing in the background. I do not recommend,

I meant to make sure there was breakfast and a pool. So i was disappointed. But my fault. Older property but well kept. Still outdated. Not a comfortable bed. Horrible pillows. Nice towels. Small room. The tv was too small and too high in its permanent placement.

This property did not reflect ratings and description. A clean but dated room. The bedding was very dated. The pillows were lumpy. The mattress was not premium. Fitted sheet kept coming off. several power outlets did not work. Toilet ran. It was noisy from exterior cars and people and upstairs movement. Thin walls. This is a 2 out of 5 star type property. Has nice outdoor area and good location. My guess is that there are many fake reviews because the reviews and ratings just do not match the actual property. Disappointed and sleep deprived.

I like the place because it is quiet, safe, easy access to stores, restaurants, banks... anything what we need in every day life. The staff members are friendly, helpful, somebody is always available at the front desk. The price is reasonable! You will enjoy the Village Inn!
