Easy access and good food. Outside temperature was hot.

Had 2 pleasant rooms, everything was wonderful. I made our room reservations online and decided to book but was disappointed because hotel information distance from BW hotel to Ilani Casino is 5.9 miles ONLY. BUT came to find out when we checked in that we have either direction drive 53 minutes just to go to the casino!!! NEED TO CORRECT INFORMATION ON THE HOTEL INFO SO OTHERS WON'T EXPERIENCE THE SAME PROBLEM WE BADLY ENCOUNTERED. Otherwise our BW hotel overnight stay was alright 👍. Thank you.

Disclosure: I only had a single night stay. Staff seemed shorthanded, but provided highly exceptional customer service. The other guests had patience waiting for each other’s needs, so even the clients at the hotel made the experience a great one. It appeared to me that all clients appreciated their hospitality and I would highly recommend a stay here.

The property states they are 5.93 miles from Ilani Casino. As a bird flys it is traveling in a CAR it is 1 hour and 40 minutes away from the casino. We booked the Beat Western based on it being 5.93 driving miles away. We were on the phone for an hour getting this canceled and refunded. Please fix this on the website. The bed was comfortable My in-laws room never was ready. They ended up having to drive all the way back to Washington state to their home. They couldn’t stay for their grandson‘s graduation something that was booked way in advance. Also, the pool was closed to the entire time. The ice machine was out of service.

Everything from check in to check out went very smoothly. We arrived after midnight after a flight into Portland and had a smooth check in around 1 am. The room we stayed in was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The breakfast was one of the best continental breakfasts we’ve had in a long time at a hotel. I would definitely stay again. AC could have been cooler. It kept turning off of continuous at night and it got a little warm, but not unbearable.

Room was clean. Didn't worry about bringing any bugs home. Free basic breakfast. Friendly staff.

It was a good location, and the room was nice. The staff was also nice. That the pool was closed, that the room needed some updates along with the facilities of the hotel. The security of the building wasn't the greatest either since the side door lock didn't work so the door was propped open with a rock all night.

We found the room very comfortable, everything easy to use, and enjoyed our stay. On check in, we were handed two card keys but given no instructions about wifi, breakfast, location of our room, which we found unusual. Breakfast provided many options. The lady who replenished food during breakfast was memorable for her sweet smile and helpful disposition.

They were doing construction on the pool until 10:40 pm one night and 11 pm the next it’s the first time in my life where I didn’t get any sleep at all. I will never stay at this place ever again.

The staff was pleasant. The location was good for my purpose. The room had no hot water. I had a cycling event and I woke at 3:45am to shower. I was at the event all day and did not return back until 9:30pm, still no hot water. I booked this room with two queen beds so my family could join me after I rode 100 miles for the American Lung Association. When I checked the policies, on Booking.com the day before my arrival, it said pets were not allowed. I then proceeded to tell my family they could not join me with our dog. When I checked in, I saw other guests with dogs, and confirmed on the hotel’s website pets were in fact allowed for a fee. Canceling my family joining me meant I had no one at the finish line for me, I had to take a bus back to the hotel, and I didn't even have a hot shower.

The staff and breakfast were excellent. The room was clean but dated for sure. There was a side door that broken so no security there. pool broken and laudrey area not working....so good for our one night but the place needs updating.

Breakfast was great, we were happy and pleased. The employees were welcoming and friendly especially Vanessa. She was really nice. I was just disappointed that the hot tub was not running because it was being renovated during our stay. The very reason I chose this Best Western was because of hot tub. But of course because of the good reviews and reasonable price, I chose this place also. The place was clean.

The front desk girl was very accommodating and helpful, the breakfast was wonderful. The hotel is clean, well maintained and well worth the price.

The continental breakfast was very good with waffles, chocolate waffles, and a fresh yogert machine! Plus bacon, sausage, potatoes and eggs. Lots of other things also. The pool area was very clean as was the hot tub. Unfortunately we went about a half hour before it closed so it was pretty dirty from being used all day long. The staff was helpful and nice. All in all this is not the 1st time i have stayed here and it will not be the last. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The room was comfortable and spacious, but there is a strange smell in the entire building. One of the side doors was broken and was left opened all night which did not help the safety rating. Morning & late night staff were friendly, but the check in attendant did not give instructions on room direction, breakfast location, or other basic check in items.

During my stay at Best Western, I came across quite a few things that were flat out disgusting. When I checked into my room, the bathroom had towels hanging on the back door. I was gonna let that pass until I realized there was hair all over the tub and floor. I asked to be moved rooms and upon moving, the room wreaked of cigarette smoke and was quite obvious the beds linens were not changed. This was proven to me when I checked out and saw how the housekeepers change a bed. It’s disgusting. My son wanted to swim, there was no clean towels only dirty ones flung everywhere. The pool has a strong chlorine smell telling me they are not following protocol. There was a film and you couldn’t even see the bottom. When I went to get breakfast, the stuff was empty an hour before it was supposed to close. It was obvious where the food was being microwaved and the kitchen looked disgusting, I would say closing doors to where employees work would be beneficial. Especially the laundry room. The type of people you allow in your hotel also made me feel very unsafe, people at all hours looking homeless, as a best western I don’t think that looks good. I manage a hotel and I am not one to complain, but when basic hospitality and cleanliness is not met it’s very upsetting for the price I paid. When asking to move rooms I would of made sure the guest was being moved to a clean room, or I would give them a refund. I’m not asking for that, I just want you guys to know your hotel is not clean.

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I had to wait a bit to check in because there was only one person at the front desk, and many people were trying to check in. A great variety of breakfast foods. There is no elevator, so be aware that you will have to lug your luggage up one flight of stairs; it isn't terrible. Overall, great experience, and I will come back.

Everything was great, staff was amazing so helpful and nice. Room was very clean and comfortable. The only thing was the shower doesn't get hot but everything else was really great.

The room was ok. The carpet had a musty, deodorant smell that was ok but noticeable. Had some trouble with the heat. It seemed no matter what the temperature set, it got very warm. We had to turn it off to keep from getting to warm. The shampoo and body wash containers were empty. I received new ones but no one installed them in the shower

First off I got two nights stay. I told them at check in I could only stay one night. Then they said they refund the following night. I checked out at 6 am the next day. They said I was all checked out. They didn’t refund the night nor my security deposit I only slept there for 6 hours that’s it. Had nothing go wrong. They won’t answer their phones. It rings and rings and rings. I know a board member at best western def going to file a formal grievance if this doesn’t get resolved I already filed charge backs on my bank just in case.

There wasn't an elevator and the door near our room was broken so we had to walk the entire length of hotel and then up the stairs to get to our room. Each time we flushed our toilet there was a strange howling sound from it.

Amber worked at the front desk and when there was socks left from a previous person in the bed she swiftly came up to change the bedding, apologized a lot and created an account for me with points. She made it known to the cleaning crew. She helped us with the TV remote and settings. She was always friendly and helpful as we came in and out of hotel. The breakfast was great and the hotel was festive and decorated for our Halloweentown visit.

The front desk was so focused on dressing up for Halloween than helping customers and housekeepers.

This place needs an upgrade. By far one of the worst to stay at with cleanliness. Charged as much as a nice best western and it was the quality of a one star place.

Convenient location for Halloweentown. Well decorated for the occasion. Staff helpful and friendly. Breakfast worked for us, but noticed limited options for those with food allergies like dairy or gluten. Our room didn’t get cleaned which was annoying- someone knocked at 9:30 when we were still in the room and never came back even though we left at 10.

The first room was supposed to have 2 beds and it had one bed. The second room smelled like filthy dirty dogs, refused that one and the desk person found us a 2 bed clean nice smelling room, My husband and I went to dinner and came back and got ready for bed , We had to be at an Eye surgeon's office the next morning. We were asleep for about 2 hrs, when we ,heard a loud noise in the bathroom and it was loud for 4.5 hours. I recorded it amd still have it. I showed the video to the desk clerk and she said oh sorry about that, did you want a receipt? I said I would like to have my money back and she handed me the receipt and we left and will not be back.

There are only 2 options for motels in St Helens Oregon. Oak Meadow Inn is THE best option! It is clean and well equipped; the breakfast has lots of great options. You will rest well at Oak Meadow Inn.

Food was terrible, their spa was green and not repaired, property feels outdated. My sister was there three years ago and spa wasn’t repaired back then. The only good thing about it was their beds and their cleanliness. It’s why my sister returned and asked us to stay there with her.

Major disappointment was the internet service. I was unable to check out our home security system for the entire stay. We would stay again. Expedia booking was seemless and easy.

We extended our stay by one night. We asked twice for fresh towels and ended up going to the desk to get them myself after waiting about 5 hours.

The first room I was given was not made up. I was politely given another room, which, although it was made up had the door open. The breakfast was less than mediocre.

Room card lock on ice machine is a new low in security for a device that doesn’t make ice when it’s 97 degrees outside.

Staff failed to respond to specific requests for equipment that was not working. (Tub that wouldn’t drain, smoke alarm which beeped in the middle of the night because it needed a new battery). I finally replaced it myself .

Over all stay was good. We had a down stairs room close to the outside smoking area. The Oder could be smelled and noise from other guest out there could be heard . Otherwise the stay was good room was clean and it was convenient to access . Thanks

I booked through Hotels.com. We arrived at 9:30pm to check in after a long day of travel and upon walking into the room, were slapped in the face with the almost unbearable smell of mold/mildew. We immediately went to reception who told us this was her last available room. After a few minutes of debating we decided we didn’t want to load the kids and our items all back up in the car and find another hotel this late, and asked if we could have a discount if we stayed. The woman told us we would be discounted 50% if we continued with our stay, we decided to bear the smell for the discounted room price. Upon check out the next morning, I asked the new receptionist to confirm my discount and asked when I should receive the money back on my card. She told me the conversation was noted but that they could not give me the discount because I booked through a third party, after our stay was already completed. I told her I would have never paid that price to stay in that room and that we would have sought another hotel elsewhere had we known we were not getting the discount. There is no way that this location was not aware of the horrible smell in the room and should not have been offering it to guests. She apologized and told me there was nothing she could do. Hot tub was also cold.

We came with another family. We all had a really great time. The pool was nice. The staff were friendly and the breakfasts were convenient. The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. I'd stay here again.

We are four senior women driving from a concert in Ridgefield WA an hours drive away after midnight. Our instructions to get there were vague. We called to say we were lost and weren't going to make the 1:30 check-in. They not only helped us get there but assured us they would accommodate us. They gave us a late check out the following day no charge and would have allowed us to use the hot tub if we wanted. Our room accommodated the four of us perfectly and was quite large so we were happy! Breakfast was good also

I was pleasantly surprised they had a hot breakfast that came with the cost of the room. However, we had a long drive that day and I was looking forward to soaking in a hot bath. The water was hot enough but the tub plug did not hold water. Very disappointed. The liquid bath soap, shampoo and conditioner are in containers attached to the wall, for the shower.... not handy for the tub. The room was clean, beds were comfortable.

When I arrived at the room the door was propped open. Everything looked okay so we put down our bags and locked the door. After returning from dinner we opened the door and the room had a strong urine order. Like cat spray. We kept the door open and opened the windows. Sprayed air freshener. Room 103. It was clean and they gave me a choice of types of housekerping I would like from full turn over to just basic, friendly staff. Second time staying there and i will stay there again.

Pool was out of order our whole time there of three days. We called every day asking and every day staff never knew and we would get a call later it was still closed. Their maintnance person didnt even know what they were doing. Kept messing up and was watching YOUTUBE videos to try and do this job. Beds were uncomfortable. Bathroom was not well cleaned.

The staff was incredibly friendly and willing to help as long as you could find them. When i arrived I couldnt find the front desk attendant who was in a back room and there was no sign or bell to ring to alert her of my presence. Another guest had been waiting for 10 minutes. Someone in the lobby, who had been visisting with others went and knocked on the office door when she realized we were waiting for help. It would be great to put some sort of call button out. Also, the wifi was down and had been for a while apparently. The view from my room was the roof over the pool and a wall,, ans the window didnt have a screen. But, food was well prepapred, room was clean and beds were very comfortable. So all in all, id stay again. It was a good experience.

Great place to stay!

We went there because I was hoping for some Quiet time a pool and a Hot Tub the reviews were pretty good. Not so the bed was very hard, and the place was sold out the person at the desk got us a room on the 1st floor, because my wife cannot go up and down stairs, only to not be able to get any sleep because the people on the floor above us ran back and forth across the floor all night. I called the office 1 time at 9PM it did not stop.

They said they are 5 miles from the casino but its 5 miles away across the river. So its an hour away

Property was fine a little dated but went with the small town feel.

Hot tub was cold, colder than the pool. No extra towels at pool, had to use room towels. Swimming pool was surprisingly warm though. The positive: A very nice TV in the room. The bed was very comfortable, and able to adjust room temperature easily to comfort.

This is our family go to when we go out of town to visit family and grandkids. We’ve always enjoyed this hotel. It’s clean and convenient. Most of the staff are very friendly and helpful. It’s nice to see familiar faces when you stay somewhere often. However, this trip was a disappointing. We arrived late in the evening to a room that did not smell good at all. The bathroom was a bit messy. The bathroom door wouldn’t shut, the toilet overflowed for no reason, the carpet was pulled up a bit in front of the bathroom door. We didn’t get moved until the next day even after alerting the front desk. Management was called to see what compensation would be given and she only gave us a $30 discount off of $120. We had to have the window open just to stay in the room because it smelled SO BAD. I sprayed my expensive perfume so we weren’t smelling mildew and dirty dog and whatever else the smell was. Very disappointing for as much as we stay and send people that way. Plus the last two times we also referred family to stay when we were there. We manage properties so when asked where a good place to stay in Saint Helens is we always mention this hotel. I’m not saying I wouldn’t refer somebody there again, but I am saying that I will let people know my experience. I manage. This was unacceptable.

We got all checked in and went to our room. Our room smelt musty, definitely like the last person was a smoker. I don’t say anything because we were only here for one night. I thought about checking the beds for bedbugs but my daughter and I decided that it was best to just leave it well enough alone. My daughter and I decided to go use the hot tub. The water in the hot tub looked yellow. There were floaters (not sure what it was but one could speculate) and it was probably about 90 degrees. The Jett’s also did not work. After a few minutes my skin started to itch so we got out and immediately went to shower. Once back in our room we settled in for the night. The bed it’s self is an old spring mattress and the pillow was very flat but I slept ok. I did however find crumbs under my sheets so I slept into of the sheets. When I woke up and went down for brunch I got the fixings of a breakfast burrito and some coffee. The burrito was good but the coffee tasted like flavored water. Maybe I’m being a little harsh but I have certain expectations from Best Western and unfortunately this completely missed the mark for us. I don’t think we would stay here again.

Jets weren’t working in hot tub. Facilities a little out of date and worn, but the rooms were properly cleaned, bed was fresh and clean with nice white linens. We stayed here for Halloween town festivities, which was just a 7 minute drive away from the hotel. Would recommend if your travel plans are the same.

This was one of the cleanest hotels we have stayed in and we travel a lot. I do a big check in every room we stay in and I was stunned by how clean the ground under the headboard was!! Even in the fancy Disney hotel it wasn't that clean!

Amazing staff. Comfortable beds. The pool…ok the pool is the cleanest I think I’ve ever been in. And it’s heated to boot!
