St Pete Beach Suites

The room was excellent - clean and spacious - well, the bathroom was small but one doesn’t usually spend a ton of time in there for it to matter- loved the shower! The kitchen was great! The only thing was the AC - This weekend was HOT and it felt as if the ac could not keep up - grateful for the ceiling fan !!! We will be back ;)

Proximity to beach and walking distance to many restaurants

Our stay here was wonderful. The hotel is just a short 5 minute walk to the beach, and that was our main goal - to spend time on the beach. Our room was very clean when we arrived and the beds were comfortable. I noticed some ants around the door to our room on the outside but I never saw any on the inside so that didn't bother me at all. Thank you for supplying all the soap, shampoo, etc. that we could have needed! It's nice to not always have to carry that stuff from home. We did not have time to use the pools at all but they looked perfectly lovely. Maybe next time we can stay longer or be less busy during the day while in town!

The rooms were very nice. Had a separate bedroom with two beds and then a larger living space with a pullout couch. Full fridge and kitchen was convenient. Easy to cook, hang and eat in the space. The ice machine at this place was one of the best experiences I've had at a hotel. Always working always full, you can't beat that. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The lady at the front desk, I think Lori was great! Helpful with check in and getting our rooms close together. It's close enough to the beach where you can walk there without having to cross Gulf. It was about a one song walk to the beach. You can get food at the snack shack on the beach, or Cool Vibes is a bar right across the street. Open late and good food. We also walked to Ricks Reef, they had really good mahi and a good vibe. Or you can walk to the convenience store on Gulf. Its really conveniently located and close to a lot of things without having to walk on or cross the main road. It has a vintage old school feeling to it while also looking very updated and . It felt like home more than some of the huge resorts. My family and I will be back!

Nice place to stay ! It's a clean but older place with an amazing location. The sitting areas outside were a bonus for all of us to sit and enjoy each other.

Location is great. 2 min walk to the beach and walking distance good options for food if you do not have a car. The apartment is a good size and the kitchen has all basic appliances to cook. Staff is very responsive any time of the day and very cordial, that was really good. The shower is not great. Very little water coming out. The structure of the apartment felt a little less good than I expected from the pictures.

AC didn’t get cold. Messaged the staff who stated you we couldn’t turn it lower than 68 bc the AC unit would freeze but it never even got that cool. Couldn’t even sleep comfortably because of this. Talk about miserable when you get back from the beach and can’t even relax. The bed frame was broken and my husband was constantly having to fix the slats so he wasn’t sleeping lopsided. The shower took 10-15 minutes for it to get hot and also took just as long to make it colder. Only one burner on the stove worked. The only good thing I can say about it is that the amenities were cute and accessible. If you care about everything other than the hotel room itself, this hotel is for you

Check in and check out is a breeze as you grab your own key and drop the key off in a drop box. The room contained everything we needed and even a pull out couch. It’s walking distance to beach and plenty of restaurants. The place was clean although there were some large gnats in the bathroom. Not a problem for me as you see them flying about outside too so I know they are hard to avoid. I would definitely stay here again. It’s a cute convenient spot.

I liked that it was conveniently close to the beach and the pool was very nice during this hot weather. A/C unit barely blew any air. I had it on 60 degrees and the highest fan setting and the way I got some air is if I was right under it. The rest of the room felt warm which being sun burnt and it being 90 out wasn’t great. WiFi barely worked and spectrum had to come fix our tv when according to the spectrum guy we had said “ they could’ve fixed it from their laptop and not made you guys wait 2 hours for me to come fix it”.

Cons: The air conditioning was not working and it was late, my husband noted the filters were completely blocked- he cleaned them and then the air worked. There were also ants crawling on the entirety of our front door on the outside. There needs to be better maintenance on the rooms. The pools also could have used cleaning for a lot of bugs, neither pool was inviting for that reason.

The "old Florida" vibe is fun and the location of this hotel is ideal: close to the beach, to area restaurants, and 6-7 blocks to the Beach Theatre. Comfy bed with nice linens and plenty of towels and the room was very clean. Unfortunately, after a day on the beach in 90 degree weather, when we checked in, our room's AC was not working. Staff did move us to a new room (with amazing AC!). No hot water for a shower though. While the staff are friendly and the spaces clean, obviously their systems (AC, water heaters) need some attention.

I booked it for a quick weekend getaway. I wasn’t expecting a whole lot. But the rooms and property itself was really nice. The room was really clean and smelled amazing. It was also a couple minute walk to the beach and a few restaurants. Overall a really great place for a great price.

Pictures dont do this place justice. You can see the water from the property. Shops all around. Full kitchen with everything you need to cook. Super clean! Perfect pool (there are two), well working AC units and multiple fans. We looked at every property in the area before we chose this place and we have NO regrets. Truly, truly the most charming hotel Ive ever stayed at. Oh, and the staff is super accommodating and kind. Also. Super easy self checkin. Thank yku!

The location was excellent, close to ice cream places, restaurants, and the beach was a short block away. Considering the age of the property, it was kept up nicely.

Had an awesome stay at this almost beachside hotel. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful from the moment I arrived. The room was clean and comfortable, and the swimming pool was a perfect spot to relax after a day in the sun. Overall, a smooth, enjoyable experience and a place I’d happily return to.

The receptionist was super nice though and washed 1 load for us in the maids facility, and gave us a gift card for the inconvenience. They also gave chocolate out for valentine's day to each unit. That was a nice gesture!

Rooms were very clean and updated. Staff was friendly and responsive. They had chairs, umbrellas, and a pull cart for us to take on the short walk to the beach for no charge. They also had bikes though we didn’t end up using them. Would stay here again.

Room was clean, no one there to admit us until I called. No greeting, just played keys on counter, no explanation of facilities. Only bed and a kitchen table and chairs, no other chairs. No room cleaning offered for a 3 night stay. 1950’s atmosphere. Very disappointed!!

It’s way overpriced for a rundown motel. Couldn’t take a proper shower, water trickled out enough to wash your big toe! It was a cold evening, no heat in the room you could see your breath! This motel is tired, overpriced & not worth 1/4 what we paid. Horrible experience, no shower, no heat!

We love staying at St. Pete Beach Suites. This was probably our 8th stay here. There is a new management service but all still is perfect. The first thing you’ll notice is that it is an old motel, but it is gleaming and clean and beautifully kept up. The next thing you’ll notice is the great location. Steps from Upham Beach, steps from restaurants and bars, and quiet! It’s surround by residential condominiums and several rental properties but it’s always quiet and pleasant. It is also pet friendly so that’s why we stay here since we bring our two dogs with us. Every room or suite we have stayed at has been comfortable, well equipped and clean. It’s just a great place.

Cleaning

We arrived early and could not get into room, which we expected. Asked about facility to change into swim suits to walk to beach and come back for check in at 4 pm. no restroom or changing rooms at either pool. Asked about beach facility for changing into suits located 1-2 blocks away. Check in person (owner/manager) didn't know if available. (there is bath house at beach--FYI). When returned from beach at 3pm as per mgr, room still not ready. Check in was 4pm, room wasn't ready till 4:30 or later. When got to room AC and TV didn't work. Went to get MGR again, she had to call in Maintenance Man. He got AC Working but No TV volume. After numerous tries with other remotes, gave up and moved us to different room. Everthing Worked but was located downstairs and we were originally on 2nd floor. Had to Repack all clothes and toiletries back up and relocated downstairs. Room was nicer and clean. .At checkout wanted to get early start, no one available till 9 am. At 8;30 head maintenance guy arrived and said check out was around corner and showed us where all rooms had separate lockboxes for key drop and was opened by a code which should have been supplied to us. IT WAS NOT. Seemed like the manager/owners were NEW and didn't know area for restaurants or bath house locations. And knowledge about AC and TV was lacking, would NOT recommend this motel !!! (Pools not heated either, (our fault for not researching) cold water only good for kids who were there, no adults in pool)

The manager was never in the office once the whole time we were there. We spoke to her on the phone when we arrived, and she told us that we had only reserved two rooms, one less than we'd paid for. The rooms were all clean and spacious. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms were clean. But everything was stark and minimal. There were two tiny bottles of water in our fridge on our arrival, but none in other rooms. No maid ever visited our room. One bar of soap in the whole bathroom! What a disappointment. This motel had earned a rating of 9 or higher on Expedia. It didn't deserve that at all.

The suite was very nice. It was nice having a stove & refrigerator. Everything was very updated and clean. The only negative about the property I could say is the office is never open. The several times I went there was a sign on the door saying they had stepped away and I had to call them. There’s also no one there from 6 PM until 9 AM which is kind of inconvenient. But other than that it’s a great place and I will definitely choose it again.

Staff here is always very nice and attentive. Location is GREAT! Very short 2min walk to beach on a quiet street. The beach has $45 chairs with umbrella rentals if you need it. Paradise Grill is on the beach with beach fare and bar drinks. Delicious! Night life is a couple blocks away with live bands/ DJ. Corey Street is fun too. They have a Sunday farmers/craft market and some cute shops. Lots of yummy restaurants near by. We had dinner at Snappers. Great Seafood. We had a king bedroom. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Ac worked well and it had ceiling fans too. The pool was clean and a great temp. There are also ice-cream shops walking distance too. WE love Upham Beach.

We have been staying on the beach at St Pete’s for twenty years but our favorite spot is currently closed and we were intrigued by the great reviews for St Pete’s Beach Suites. We did choose the cheapest room as it was a last minute trip but the room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The grounds are very well maintained and the staff are friendly. You can walk to the beach, and multiple bars and restaurants. Various seating areas around the property would make it a great place for a large group as there are so many cool communal spots. We will be back.

Lovely boutique style hotel!

This property was perfect. Excellent location near the beach and restaurants. The room was very clean. The pools were great and provided a nice windbreak when it was too windy for the beach. I really appreciated the convenience of thw after hours supply cabinets and beach equipment.

Arrived late, after office staff was gone for the day, and the door to the room was unlocked and open. A bit worrisome.

The manager was fabulous!! She couldn't have been nicer and very well informed. However the room next to us had two barking dogs! Woke us up two mornings in a row~ early! And the pet owner had a terrible cough! I thought he was going to hack up a lung! I know he couldn't do much, but it was SO annoying!! And lasted TOOOOO long!!

Good location, clean room. the room walls are not properly insulated for noise from other rooms. Only a Tiny bathroom mirror in entire room. The appliances are outdated.

The woman who checked us in was super friendly and helpful, and the room was very clean and welcoming. The kitchenette was missing a few items, and the bed was not the most comfortable, but we thoroughly enjoyed the pool area and congenial atmosphere.

Great location near Upham Beach. Very nice complex and the suite was great, although for me lacked a little space to put toiletries in the bathroom. Everything was lovely, although couldn’t get the tv to work in the bedroom, but for one night it wasn’t really an issue. Lori was very helpful when we checked in, providing us with places that were open on thanksgiving day to eat and drink

I really love this place. It is a hidden gem and I plan on making this my hub when I’m in town. Very clean, charming, unique. I can’t wait to rent out the bigger space for my family or a buddies trip for Gasparilla.

The service at this place is UNBELIEVABLE (amazing)! Laurie (sorry if that's not spelled correctly) is the absolute BEST (although my sister also met another employee (Amanda, I think) and she said she's also amazing. They both took care of my sister after she was displaced by hurricane Helene, and they were flexible, extremely kind and made my sister feel loved. As if those weren't reasons enough to stay, the suite room we had was absolutely fantastic! Super clean, VERY spacious and had everything we needed. Thank you, St Pete Beach Suites, for everything. I will forever stay with you anytime we are down there. Please be safe throughout the threat of hurricane Milton.

Fabulous vacation at St Pete Beach Suites! I had a one bedroom that was like a villa with a full kitchen. The bed was incredibly comfortable and room was immaculate. Both pools were great and it is a 2 minute walk to the beach. I loved the free beach chairs and pool towels for use. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel it was great!

Unfortunately we only had an overnight stay and we wished it could have been longer. We arrived early and they were very accommodating by allowing us to park the car which allowed us to walk to the beach ⛱️ and sunbathe until our room was ready. We could also use the pool facilities which was needed as the beach was too hot for us. The room was lovely and big, clean and overlooked the pool area. Can't wait to stay again.

This is my second time staying here at the St Pete Beach Suites, and I must say it is just as amazing as the first time! The service is incredible, if you show up after hours they have a lockbox where they include your key with a map of where to park etc. They even provide extra towels and supplies in a cabinet in the hallways for after hours guests! I can tell they thought of everything to make their guests as happy as possible. The value is certainly there for sure and I would recommend staying here for anyone working or vacationing in St Pete Beach!

Everything was clean and neat the way I like it.Only negative I had was the mattress needs to be updated with a pillow top or just a better mattress I had bad back pain on that bed.other than that trip was good.Had internet issue and a broken closet light and they took care of both promptly.

The property was VERY clean, the room was VERY clean as well, and the amenities abundant. My room had a TV that synced right to my phone with no trouble, a kitchenette that was fully stocked to include a working microwave, stove and fridge and freezer and all the utensils, plates, and cutlery! The front desk staff was SO friendly and nice! They were so polite and always had a smile on their face. I literally could not ask for a more pleasant experience!

We enjoyed our stay in St Pete’s Beach. The accommodation was close to the beach (we could see the sea from our room) and comfortable for our stay. There were bars and restaurants within easy walk. The staff were helpful, friendly and accommodating. The room gave us the space we needed as a family - especially important as we were stuck in the room for a whole day due to a tropical storm passing through!! The beds were comfortable and the AC good to keep the space cool in summer. The pool area was really nice and clean and there were plenty of seating options around the pool - loungers and cabanas for use. We also had free use of a gas grill, which was helpful. And free use of bikes and beach equipment. The only downside was the kitchen - which was basic (I would have preferred ceramic plates/ bowls and glasses rather than plastic ones as this felt a bit studenty!) Additionally, the sofa only sat 3 people, and with 4 of us, this meant that someone had to sit on a dining chair! I’m sure this was perhaps more of an issue to us being stuck in the room for a day due to the storm! Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return due to the decent vfm this accommodation offered.

So conveniently located to the beach and surrounding restaurants. We had a newly remodeled room and it was wonderful! Staff was available for any questions

LOUD! Very loud! Party at the pool with music blasting every single night. Good location.

Great location! 3 min walk to the beach. Many restaurants within walking distance. We have stayed here before and never regret it. 2 pools, beach bikes, and beach gear available to take to the beach. Staff always friendly and helpful.
