The beds were the only thing good about the place. The breakfast was very minimal and the person taking care of it was doing too many jobs at once so a lot of foods that needed to be replenished were empty. The carpets on the stairs and leading to the rooms need a good vacuuming they were really dirty for our 2 day stay. Wouldn't stay there again.

Staff were constantly on their phones, breakfast was very limited with stuffed trash cans, and I can’t get through to staff on the phone to get an invoice.

The room and facilities were clean. A great stay…thank you!

Waited 20 minutes for someone to arrive and check me in. The room smelled like a gym locker. There was trash in the room from the previous guest. The air conditioner worked, but sounded like a jet engine. By 8am, all of the hot food at the breakfast was gone and not replaced. All breakfast was shut down by 9am. The property is pretty beat up. Pool amenities were at another hotel next door—not convenient. I travel regularly for work and stay at hotels across the country and thus was, by far, the worst hotel experience I’ve ever endured.

Location, staff was friendly The were going to charge 12$ for using the parking lot. Not in season, no reason.
- 2.5/5
Passable
- 3/5
Charged $12 for parking even though they are nowhere near anything and nobody would park there even if it was free (this was additional charge upon check-in). There was no hand soap/bar soap on my bathroom. Breakfast was pretty bad, and my expectations were not high. The room itself was as expected and no complaints there (good bed, good AC, mini fridge and microwave). I don’t expect a lot from La Quinta but I feel like this one underperformed. The parking fee was ridiculous to no honest.

Breakfast supplies were not maintained/managed in a timely fashion. Ran out of coffee and bacon without swift replenishment. Pillows were a little lumpy. Found some left over garbage from a previous stay under our beds. My room had shampoo, no conditioner, and no lotion tubes.
- 3/5
Very accommodating and friendly upon arrival/check-in. But upon finding we were assigned two rooms, that were booked in Mar. '26 , that were on the second floor and they don't have an elevator or bellhop to bring/up bags was kinda bummer, lugging up 17 steps. All the carpets both in lobby, stairways, and rooms are in serious need of a decent vacuuming. This wasn't just from a busy weekend but you can see plainly all the areas of heavy traffic as well as corners haven't been attended to in quite some time. The beds were comfortable and the sheets appeared clean. Problem is that when simple very obvious tasks like vacuuming can't be done , whats being passed over on the not so obvious items?? Like I said the desk staff was very accommodating and had no problem extending us a late check-out, even though we didn't need it, on one of our rooms so we could attend a graduation nearby and hit the room prior to getting the road for our 3.5 hr. drive home. The breakfast was ok but of the two coffee pods that were in the snack bar area, one was emptied on the guy in front of me, 7 min. after the breakfast bar was opened, and the second one was not even luke warm and had to be nuked to get the individual cup hot enough. The third pod of hot water was also cold.

They charged $12 a night to stay at the hotel. Never had that happen before. Room was clean and bed very comfortable. Not much a breakfast offered.
- 1/5
For the price, it was not worth it. The bathroom was so small he barely could sit down to use the bathroom because the door is gonna hit you in the knees. They didn't come and clean our room and we were there for four days. The breakfast is not a continental breakfast. It was just so simple and I would not stay there again oh yeah plus they charge you $12 a day for parking. There's plenty of parking so that's just an extra charge. That is ridiculous.
- 5/5
Great parking, very clean room, very nice staff. Was here a few days for business. This hotel worked out fantastic. I would stay again

Excellent price for being within city limits of Steamboat Springs, a notoriously expensive ski/tourist town. Clean, fresh room (#096, main floor), very comfortable King bed with an open-concept extra space with sleepable sofa and an additional flatscreen TV. The walk-in shower was stellar! About 2 or 3 easy-driving miles to the wonderful old town. $12 for parking!!!! Who'da thunk it? Free Breakfast, up to good La Quinta standards, started, however, a 7 and not at 6. Too late for this couple, so we went downtown to The Shack --- very nice, and they DO open at 6.

They let me check in early. The staff was very nice. Breakfast was decent They charged for parking in rural Colorado! They had no elevator and two floors. The room wasn’t really clean. Stuff was on the desk chair, there was hair in the sink and stuff on the carpet. The rest was pretty clean, but the housekeepers didn’t pay attention to detail. It was noisy with thin walls. The housekeepers knocked twice before 10a (check out) to see if I was still there. Really??!! So you can rush clean the room again and then relax??

Jan 4 8 17:15am - and out of eggs and sausage and did not refill. No waffle iron All the front desk people were on their phone the entire time and not helpful. Bring your own breakfast or get there 1st before it runs out
- 1/5
Took a few minutes to figure this out, but the keys are somewhat ridiculous. You could not get into the hotel or the room for 5 days.( without going to the front desk a dozen times) Everyone had the same issue.Front desk, not having the ability to let people into the room is insane, you need to figure that out. I almost kicked the f****** door with my ski boots to open my hotel room several times. We'll never stay again there because of that issue.Figure it out or go out of business.

Hot tub and pool were located in another hotel. After walking across the parking lots we were given access and direct to an empty outdoor hot tub and a cold indoor one. Also the hotel charges additional fees for parking on top of the reservation - not disclosed. The pullout couch was not made up so we had to request bedding and towels to support our group size. Door keys stopped working on New Year’s Eve and multiple times had to replace.

Don't bother booking a special room, theyll just give you whatever room they want to. I booked the fireplace room and had been having a bad week, I was really looking forward to it...and I had booked it the day before and yet they decided to "clean the carpets" on ALL the fireplace rooms that morning...my reservation meant nothing... they saw it and decided it wasnt any good, the rooms wouldnt be available... And not just that, but they put me in a room that looked like it was made with leftover space (the whole room made no sense...the longest wall was all along the hallway so you could hear every noise out there!) And there was no handle on the bathroom door, I almost got stuck in there! If I had booked the cheapest room I wouldve been happy with it (despite the spider in the bathroom...it wasnt a small spider, I normally wouldnt mention it but I am still frustrated), but I didnt book the cheapest room, I booked the fireplace room. If they arent going to rent the fireplace room out they should mark it "not available " it is not professional to show it as available, let people rent it out then decide they arent going to have it available. I wouldve rather stayed in town (rooms were cheaper in town that night, but I wanted the fireplace!). Also, I know they will leave a generic "response" asking me to contact them so we can "resolve this"...I already contacted them over a week ago...they sent me a copy of my receipt showing the fireplace room... no response...

The bathroom was very small compared to most other hotels but was doable for one night. The shower head was mounted only about 5’ up the wall, so tall people will have a hard time showering, I did and I’m only 5’4”. One of the reasons we chose this hotel over others in the area was the continental breakfast. However, it was extremely lacking with just some eggs and burned bacon, that we took one look and left and went to a restaurant. (Winona’s has great breakfast food!) Given the other hotels in the area, I likely wouldn’t stay here again. We stayed at a different hotel a few years ago and it was a better experience.
- 5/5
One note about this hotel: there are no elevators. You must use the stairs to get to the upper floors.

The woman who checked us in on the afternoon of Monday the 13th was surly and rude, openly combative when I used a different card. Very unhelpful.

Room cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. The breakfast is very limited.

Coffee in the room was stale but breakfast coffee was great. Desk clerk was very personable and friendly and directed us to the best room for our needs. I would definitely stay here again.

My recent stay was overall a decent experience. Two things stand out that were a bit upsetting once I arrived at the property. One, there is a $10 parking fee per night. I didn't see this listed on my reservation at the time of booking and should be better communicated to the customer. Second and very misleading, the pool area isn't available at this hotel. Rather a walk across the parking lot to the Holiday Inn. Who wants to walk across in the dark or in your suit over to soothe building. Again this doesn't say this anywhere on the listing. The convenience and advertising of this is flat out false! We didn't use the pool because of this. I also believe that it should be clearly noted there is no elevator in this hotel either. Fine for us, but not for some, elderly carrying heavy luggage or persons with some limitations or injuries traveling. If I was to come back to the area I would try another place to stay. The breakfast is also very limited. It was an ok place to stay and the bus stop very convenient. The night front desk gal was helpful in helping us understand the bus system. She was helpful and always kind!!

We traveled for 24 days and stayed at several different hotels, each one of them were wonderful. We decided to close out our trip and stay in steamboat springs. Upon arrival we did not receive a warm welcome! The room needs some work….the carpet is frayed at the toe strip and a piece missing and the little strip is exposed with some of the prongs sticking up and one stuck me in my foot. The curtains are ridiculous, they are hung backwards and too long, the counters were dirty and the wifi does not work, I could go on and on. I will not stay at another LaQuinta! Definitely not worth the money. Oh, and they charge 10.00 per night for parking.
- 1/5
I did the pre-check in online when I arrived. I was put into a room where the door was literally off of the lobby. You could hear people coming and checking in. The staff knew it was a noisy room yet they were reserving it for me. they literally told me if I would’ve checked in before the person in front of me they could’ve put me in a room on the second floor. It was very sad and very uncomfortable and not a fun experience.
- 2/5
They charge $10 for car parking come on
- 5/5
thank you!

If you didn't let my first negative review and they're telling me to resubmit it, then what is the point of a review. This property is garbage, you didn't like my opinion and now it's supposed to revise it., 😂😂
- 4/5
La Quinta is a good value in Steamboat Springs. It’s an older motel but well kept. My only complaint is that they put me in an accessible room and it had a walk in tub that was difficult for me to use.
- 3/5
Odor of feet beside the bed. Was not allowed to fill the upright walk in tub pictured in the photos. There is a sign posted on the tub stating use only as a shower. False advertising.
- 5/5
Staff was awesome, nice breakfast….
- 2/5
Front desk staff at check in act as though they could care less about their job or you as a customer. Zero customer service, the staff couldn’t be bothered to even make eye contact with me as they mumbled some instructions …. The pool and hotub in the pictures belong to the hotel next door…that you have to walk to if you want to use, after checking in with front desk staff at Holiday inn. There is no elevator, no ice machine on second floor, no linen for pull out couch. Trash..trash, trash surrounding back of property. For $300 a night ….awful.
- 2/5
My room was not clean and no amenities at the room between other things We didn't like it
- 2/5
Was not very clean around the property. We had a view of a pile of junk out the back parking lot. We had to PAY for parking. This was the first time I ever had to pay for parking at a La Quinta. The interior was worn down. None of the staff seemed to be people persons more introverted and did not like to speak to guests. I would not stay there again.
- 2/5
When I was booking my hotel stay for my business trip of over 500 miles in 2 days. I picked a hotel with a pool and hottube listed on their site. Once I got checked in, was told by a very rude front desk night clerk that the pool and hottub had to be accessed via the next door Holiday Inn as this hotel did not have either. The whole point of this reservation was for some relaxation and having to walk to the nearby hotel to use their hot tub and pool was out of the question, especially at night. I believe I should be due a refund or credit of some sort.
- 3/5
Sausage served at breakfast made us sick. At 9:a.m. no eggs to be had. Asked to replenish them, but they were not. Bottom sheet on our king bed did not fit. Sheet came off every night.
- 4/5
Good stay, but I don’t understand a $20.00 parking fee in an open parking area!!! Seems like a rip off and unnecessary additional charge!!!!!
- 3/5
No shower curtain HOWEVER this was resolved by a very courteous and apologetic desk agent.
- 4/5
Nice stay for quick weekend.
- 4/5
Food could have been better. Overall great place to stay!
- 3/5
Don’t understand what a fee to pay for your vehicle overnight. Never have ever been charge with a fee staying at hotels. Is this a Colorado law?
- 3/5
I can’t believe that you charge $10 a day for parking. No other comparable motel I have stayed at has charged for parking unless located within a large city. No excuse for that other than greed.
- 4/5
I booked this hotel for my elderly parents and when they checked in they realized that the hotel didn’t have any elevators and they had to carry their heavy bags up the stairs.
- 2/5
Noise from the lobby woke me up at 3 AM (somebody talking and the TV). It took me two calls over ~30 minutes to get it quiet enough for me to go back to sleep. When I was checking out, the staff also told me that a guest comes down to the lobby at that time and talks every night and that they can't turn off the lobby TVs. It is nuts that they can't deal with those problems.
- 5/5
The staff at the front desk truly helped me change rooms. I have MS and could not handle the stairs with my luggage so she booked me into a room downstairs. Very very kind and considerate.
- 2/5
When checking in I was informed I would be charged $10 a night for parking in the hotel parking lot. When I said I would park on the street the hotel clerk told me I could park in the lot for free but then charged me the parking fees at the end of my stay.
- 3/5
Hotel was reasonable price for the area. We stay at LaQuinta’s often and enjoy them. This property as on the smaller side, seemed like it was either an old building or needed some updates. The website listed a pool, but it was not on site. You have to go over to the hotel next door to use theirs.
- 2/5
The location was okay. The breakfast left much to be desired. I was placed in an ADA accessible room unnecessarily and told that it was on my Expedia account when it wasn’t. This shower was tiny and the room was up against the washer and dryer room which was loud and started around 7:45am.
- 3/5
Breakfast was below average.
- 4/5
I never saw they charge for parking when I booked and it wasn't in the email confirmation. The staff had to ask if I drove and there would be a $10 charge for parking. It isn't that much about the money, but the fact management puts their staff in a difficult situation to have to ask for the $10. I stayed in mid May during the off season and the parking lot filled up. The lot is small and will fill up fast. It is a nice and clean newer hotel. Just charge everyone $5 more so the staff don't need to ask and argue with the guest about an undisclosed fee. BTW the confirmation email does state the booking doesn't include incidentals like drinks, candy and other food items, it never mentions parking.
- 2/5
If a rental listing falsely advertises a hot tub as being on-site, but no hot tub is actually present, it can be considered a misrepresentation and a breach of contract. Depending on the circumstances and local laws, the renter may have grounds for a full refund or other compensation.
- 3/5
The staff burnt bacon at 5:15am. Like a deer in headlights. Fire dept came. Smoke alarm blaring from 5:10am to 5:45am. No apologies and super poor attitude from staffer. Poor communication with fire department only to find out it could have been prevented. Other staff was helpful on a partial refund. Train your staff and now a $10 charge for parking in the very lot we stay in... enough is enough! Drop the parking charge..just ridiculous. Does the room rate not cover parking..come on now!
- 4/5
It was a nice stay but I was disappointed the fireplace didnt work, it was hot out when i checked in so I didnt turn it on until later when it got cooler; when I asked the desk about it I was told maintenence had to turn it on? And they were gone for the night...I am wondering why they would rent out a room with a fireplace and turn it off so it cannot be used? (Pilot light was on, it wasnt broken just the switch was disconnected) Make sure it is working when you check in. Also was disappointed with the new $10 parking fee they charged, never had that before.
- 2/5
Breakfast was awful
- 3/5
There was no elevator and the staff was needed to be reminded to clean the room. After that everything else was good or average. Still recommending this place for people who don't wanna spend a lot of money.

This spot is great for a quick ski trip to steamboat. Clean room, breakfast included, and a shuttle straight to the mountain starting at 8am and running every 15 min. Reasonably priced as well. Restaurant next door as well for good eats and a bar!

Highly recommend.

This building is built so poorly, I have hearing toilet flush from rooms above & next to. How does Town of Steamboat pass the building inspection??? Also staff wasn’t very helpful. I had heater not coming on and TV not working. It took over 2 hours for heater to generate the heat and cable box power cord was unplugged. So tv came on with black screen. Hotel building maintenance people never showed up after 3 calls and over 10 hours. I got a call from the front desk in the middle of the night and woke me up. That was not nice. All in all, I would stay again for reasonable priced and close approximaty to the bus stop. Hearing your neighbor is a major discouragement since you need a good night sleep to ski well next day. So ask for upper floor
- 5/5
Very clean, huge, newly furnished rooms. Perfect location on the free bus route to get to the mountain and around town. Lovely ladies at the front desk were very knowledgeable about the area.
- 4/5
Rooms are old, carpet is dirty and sheets had burn holes in them, but honestly not as bad as I was expecting. The breakfast was a little better than others. Parking is easy and right on the bus to the mtn and downtown.
- 4/5
They do charge a one time parking fee of $10. Staff could be more friendly, maybe eye contact or a smile
- 3/5
OK hotel with a few issues. It's "dog friendly", so there's dog poop all over outside. Dogs were barking in nearby rooms late at night. Loud people partying in nearby rooms also made sleeping tough. Breakfast one day had many problems - no coffee, empty steam table trays. Staff was friendly and nice, but I would not stay here again for the reasons above.
- 4/5
Convenient
- 4/5
First of all the staff was wonderful and very friendly. The hotel itself left a bit to be desired. A few minor irritations included, It took serval attempts for them to get me a working key, the furniture is a bit old and the handles were falling off the dresser, and I had to have the front desk person hunt down an ice bucket for me since there was not one in the room. The walls are very thin. I could make out every word that was said in neighboring rooms. It reminded me a bit of living in a college dorm. All was manageable until I saw the shower. My room had some type of sitting ADA shower which makes it super hard to stand and shower. I'm 5 foot and 120 lbs If I couldn't shower in it I don't know how a taller or larger person could. The staff already let me know when dealing with the key issue they were fully booked so no other rooms were available. I ended up doing a wash cloth bath since I couldn't use the shower. I appreciate they have these showers for those that need them but they should tell you when you book if this is the type of shower you will get. I would have booked a different hotel had they made me aware when I was booking. After a long day of snowboarding a hot shower is usually all I'm looking forward to and could not do that in this room.
- 2/5
This property is way overpriced for what it is. $300 for a one night stay is ridiculous for what this property is--ski town or not. I could hear everything around me--was right off of the lobby and had to tell the night clerk to turn the TV down--still heard it all night. There was a wall heater outside of my room that sounded like a rocket taking off everytime it came on--I finally had to go out and figure out how to turn it off. The guy next to me was on the phone late--could hear every part of that conversation. I had to be out by 645 and breakfast doesnt start until 7am so missed that. This hotel is worth about $175 a nite even in "peak" season.

Poor snow removal in parking area
- 4/5
La quinta hotels are always the same: budget friendly, with decent breakfast compared to other options. Usually la quinta offer free parking but not this one. The location is great, as it is not too far from the ski resort, and there is a bus one can take just right outside the hotel. The hotel looks brand new and has large rooms. It is clean and that is always a huge plus. My only issue was the mattress, which was way too plush, and uncomfortable to sleep on. I almost decided to sleep on the floor one night to prevent my back from hurting.
- 5/5
Thought the hotel was great for the price! My group stayed in the room with 3 beds and had 5 people. We were able to fit all our ski gear as it was very spacious! Also there was no hot tub at this hotel but they gave us access to use the hot tub at the hotel next door so that was great. Only thing to note on the negative side was that the continental breakfast was very slim.
- 3/5
The breakfast was very minimal breakfast. Lot's of cereal, eggs 2 of 3 days, tater tots 1 day, sausage 1 day. No fruit. Coffee and tea. The stairways had not been cleaned in many days and showed dirt and other debris. The sheets on the bed were dirty showing stains of wine. The shower head was plugged and did not give an even spray pattern. Snow removal was not done well if at all on the sidewalks. They did plow the parking lot. No workout facilities, pool, or hot tub.
- 2/5
There are many decent hotel options in Steamboat but this is not one of them. Paid extra for a fireplace room, didn’t work, the front desk really didn’t care and was not willing to fix it or change the room. The lobby was trashed when we got there with ice cream wrappers and spoons and melted ice cream. The alarm clocks in our room and several around us went off at 5 and kept going for an hour in the other rooms that must have been vacant. Our romantic fireplace room had a beautiful view of the parking lot, burn marks on the counters, and holes in the wooden furniture. I would not stay here again.
- 5/5
Remodel was great! Will stay again
- 3/5
The room wasn’t as clean as it could be and the breakfast wasn’t tended to very well.

Perfect for skier

Hotel cancelled my reservation without authorization. Drive 8 hours only to be turned away because hotel cancelled my reservation and was fully booked. Had to drive hours to get back for nothing.
- 2/5
Room was obviously a storage area. One towel, no coffee, light bulbs burned out. Staff was friendly and helpful. but they should rot prepare each room following a request, as ours needed to do.
- 4/5
Overall good stwy
- 5/5
We arrive early because the weather was snow stormy and she let us check in early it was clean and quiet we are happy to stay again.
- 1/5
Our room 102 was right next to construction and could hear banging and work going on early in the morning. I would have booked a room elsewhere had we know this would be the case in advance. We also had ants in our room climbing all over the table under the TV. Not what I would expect for over $150/night.

The property is under construction, so half of the hotel is inaccessible. There are black tarps covering one entire wall of the lobby and black and red X’s spray painted on tarps over two of the windows. The employees, with the exception of a Mexican woman at the front desk on a Sunday morning and a black woman who was at the front desk on Saturday evening, were incredibly lazy. There was one Mexican man who was never at the desk, was outside talking to friends when we went to the desk needing something. They clean your room by request only. The positives are the free breakfast from 6-10, and they still leave coffee and muffins out after that time. The beds are comfortable. The rooms are nice considering everything else about it. I will not stay in a La Quinta again.

We were not told of ongoing construction (even though my daughter called and was told it was completed).....also not told of no elevator and had to lug our suitcases up the stairs.......breakfast not replenished after the egg pan was empty......front desk staff hardly there.....had to find someone to checkout!!!!

Public areas were a mess. Under construction.

Room was not ready on time, even though every other person in front of me both times I went to check in were getting keys to their rooms. Finally got a room and smelled so bad like dog pee. Would not recommend.

Other than the construction noise in daytime hours, the room was nice.

The extra lock on our room door was broken. There was no elevator so we had to carry bags up stairs.

Issues with the room. Noise from highway and door slamming. No lights work in the room. I told the front desk the day we got there. Bath no soap for showers.

Check in was good. The room was just OK. The air conditioning was noisy. No kleenex\tissues in the room. Toilet paper was rough. No night stand on one side of the bed. Wi-fi was slow. Shower water temperature went hot to cold to hot. Almost burned skin at one point. Had to wait for someone who spoke English to show up at the front desk for checkout. Breakfast was meager. Not worth the price at all. Wyndam should be ashamed.

Propert was unser co structuon which we didnt know until after we purchased non refundable booking. Wifi and internet kept cutting out repeatedly. Shower drain clogged up and didnt drain properly so your standing in a pool of water while showering. Keycards didnt function even after getting them fixed by the front desk staff. The issuses with the room made the entire stay inconvenient. The front staff was nice but the facility was problemsome.

Totally enjoyed our stay. Room was very clean and breakfast was good. Convenient location just outside of town. Nice views of the mountains and ski trails. No elevator though, had to walk stairs to second floor. Would stay here again.

Good place to stay

Check in person had no idea where a pharmacy was. Basic location questions, they were lost! Not helpful.

And too bad some guests are just plain rude, too. Again, not the hotel’s fault. The hotel itself is clean and orderly. We enjoyed it. The location was otherwise quiet for being on the main highway. Would stay again.

So far below par. Repainting an old gross building doesn’t make it nice and worth $200 a night. Water pressure was great but showerhead was awful and sprayed water everywhere. Smoke detector was dangling from ceiling. Remodel job was blotchy and shoddy. Amenities were nonexistent. It might have been worth half of what the cost was. Area of town was sketchy. We did not feel safe. Breakfast was basically just cereal or oatmeal. Staff was helpful but not friendly or warm. Overall, I couldn’t wait to leave

Property smelled horrible. There were bed bugs, I had bites after our two night stay will not book again.

The room was clean but the curtains were a bit shabby. I wasn’t thrilled with the pillows but overall I would stay here again and bring my own pillow.
