We have been there before, which is why we came back. Staff very helpful, professional and friendly. Lobby inviting, pool and pool area, a great place to hang out. The view is perfect- sitting poolside and overlooking Riverwalk, and waterway. The room is spacious, bed is comfortable and our view of waterway was great
- 5/5
It was a very nice hotel. We were only there for one night. The staff was excellent. We will definitely come back again.

Really comfortable room, nice and spacious with nice facilities, incredibly well maintained. In a superb location lovely for strolls along the river walk. Very happy with my choice!

Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable bedding. Updated amenities in room needed. Very basic. Good value!

We have stayed before- which is why we came back. The lobby is inviting, the pool are is unbelievable- overlooks the waterway and riverwalk. Our room also overlooked the riverwalk and waterway. We loved our comfortable room. Bed was comfortable and shower was perfect. The location is really good. Walkable to most restaurants and bars.
- 4/5
Excellent location!! Right on the Riverwalk. Can walk nearby to UTampa, multiple restaurants and coffee shops, and Harbour Island. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is the laundry machine ruined some of our clothes. And I didn’t love the public pool parties they hosted on weekends. But if that’s your thing, then you’d love it!

Went to check in and they told me they didn’t have the double queen tha I reserved. So they gave me a room with one bed. I had two children that had to sleep on the floor. I called them a week before coming and told them I have a dually and I asked if it was going to be OK to park. They informed me “ sure our valet will take care of you no problem”. When I arrive, the valet parking attendant tells me my truck is too big and I have to take it to a lot. That is about five blocks down the street. So I had to go and park my vehicles there and walk all the way back. Therefore, I had to walk there and back each time. I wanted to use my vehicle. On top of that they gave me a tag to put in my windshield and told me there would be no issue parking there. Well, I received four parking tickets $55 each during my stay. I was not informed that there was a pool party both nights that I was staying there. So as far as ordering food, I could only order hotdog or chicken wings because that’s what they were making for the pool party. Which had absolutely nothing to do with me or the other guests who were staying in the hotel. This pool party was strictly for outside people that were not even guests at that hotel. I do not see how that is fair at all. They did not clean the rooms every day like they said they would. I had to go and get towels every day. But the worst part was getting $220 in parking tickets and my children having to sleep on the floor. It’s unacceptable and I willneverstayagai

The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, also gave late night food recommendations. The rooms are a good size and seem very modern with comfortable beds and it’s right in downtown so a good location. The gym looks out onto the river so is super cool to workout in. The walls to the rooms are thin, and unfortunately the people next to me were partygoers who played loud music and kept shouting and I had to ask them to be quiet. There were also some stains on the wallpaper. The vent in the bathroom seems connected to to the rooms next door so you can hear conversations from the next room. Pets are allowed but this meant a dog in the floor were barking. Some things can’t be helped by the hotel themselves like loud guests etc but it didn’t help the overall stay

Room was clean. Close to a few good restaurants, walkable to Publix, Nice walk along the river. Something like 15 minutes from Tampa Stadium. Only 1 packet of a small cup of coffee for a suite room. I did not use the bar or have breakfast. City view over hotel entrance not great. No surface area and luggage racks to place luggage. Bathroom area small but has shelving to store small items. Although an enclosed shower and toilet, it would be nice if the sink and small counter was enclosed for privacy and light shining into the sleep area right around the corner.

$44.00 a night on top of what I payed is ridiculous to park a car every other hotel in downtown areas has always been $25. Also my room was so hot in wouldn’t go below 70 then supposedly they fixed it and then that night it was 71 every other hotel I have stayed at I can keep it cool as low as 66

Was able to drop our bags and vehicle off at valet prior to check in which was so nice as we did the riverwalk and the pirate taxi and our day flew by!

Stay was great. Just needed outlets to work at the desk. Everything else was great.

Housekeeping needs attention. My vanity mirror had somebody else's toothpaste splatter and there was hair that did not belong to me on my bathroom floor. Shower conditioner bottle was empty, but another was promptly delivered upon request. Otherwise, the hotel was clean and well kept.

Nice room with wonderful river view. You might want to educate your staff on the highlights of your city… we asked one of the front desk staff about ideas of where to eat… she had no idea… a little disconcerting hoping for ideas of where to go when not familiar with your city and your staff should have ideas.

Everybody was friendly, they loved our dogs and we loved that it’s dog, friendly, the free EV charging was excellent, and just a great stay overall. It was close to the start line for the Gasparilla races.
- 4/5

- 5/5
Clean updated hotel, friendly staff in a great location. Valet is a bit frenzied
- 1/5
There was ZERO insulation from noise in the rooms- you could hear everything from both inside and outside the hotel even on the 4th floor. I could hear conversations of people on the street and in the hallways and elevators. The room doors all slammed shut which reverberated down the hallways. You could hear conversations of people in the rooms above, below, next door and across the hallways.
- 5/5
Great location downtown. Near restaurants and shopping. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Perfect for a 1 night stay before leaving out of Tampa cruise port.
- 5/5
Staff was friendly, location was great and everyone loved our dog
- 4/5
The staff were attentive and the quality we received overall for the price was very good. The location and view were amazing! The hotel was very clean in most areas. Overall, our stay was really good. Some downsides include: the rooms not having microwaves and the communal ones were very dirty; the one day we got room service, it seemed like the bare minimum was done, however, when we first arrived everything was great; I wish there were a car port or larger area for check in because it got really congested and was confusing coming in; lastly, it got a bit noisy in the evening with guests coming in and out of rooms as well as partying at the bar.
- 3/5
Door to balcony wouldnt close water pressure is terrible, difficult to find entry

The attentiveness of the staff for any needs or issues was fantastic!

The staff, more specifically Ashley has mad it a great experience. She was so helpful, efficient, professional all while being nice. She turned a would be disaster, into a pleasurable stay. She along with the handyman took initiative to fix the issues at hand. Ashley is definitely an asset to the brand
- 4/5
Great location and nice amenities. Rooms facing the street get very loud.
- 5/5
Front desk staff at check-in was nice, friendly, and helpful. Clean room. Great place to stay the night before our cruise. Close to cruise port
- 5/5
We enjoyed the location and staff very much. We spent two consecutive weekend stays before and after our cruise. During the first weekend we did experience a tepid shower but they made up for the following weekend with a wonderful view of the riverwalk and a higher floor away from the street noise. Ashley at the checking desk is great at her job and always has a smile to share.
- 5/5
We have zero ideas for improvement. Both rooms were clean and the river views were gorgeous. Highly recommended.
- 5/5
No free breakfast which would have been nice.

- 5/5
Quick check in, great room and staff
- 2/5
Room wasn’t ready until 1.5 hours after check in. Parking amount was ridiculous.
- 3/5
Our reservation said “room with view.” Our view was HVAC, mechanical systems on roof and a concrete wall. I requested late check in 10:00 pm and we were out by 9 am, but some daylight or sky view would have been appreciated. The breakfast seating area was noisy near entrance to hotel and service was slow and overpriced.
- 4/5
This hotel is what it is and does it well. The rooms look like a loft, but they are clean. The bar doesn’t open until 5 o’clock. There is no restaurant but you get a few things to eat. Bartender is real. Nice location is great.
- 5/5
Clean modern room. Big windows with a river view. Staff was friendly pool, was warm. Great access to the riverwalk and downtown only a couple minutes from the hockey arena and the free tram to Ybor city.
- 5/5
Everyone we came in contact with was very friendly and helpful. The pool area overlooking the Riverwalk was beautiful. The rooms were nice and clean.
- 3/5
We had a two night stay at aloft Downtown Tampa apon arrival we asked about early check-in. They did not disclose that it would be a $50 charge, but they gave us the room anyway as we got to the room we realized the room had an odor we called down to the lobby multiple times asking if there was something they could do about it. Front desk said they would send somebody to check on the smell. We never got anyone in the room, the next morning we saw housekeeping we asked them if they could do something about the smell when we came back to the hotel. Nothing was done about the smell there was staining on the blankets stains on the wall mold in the corners of the shower dirt and dust buildup on coffee pot personal in our room were thrown away.
- 5/5
Great location
- 2/5
The rooms are not well sound protected so we heard our neighbors speaking and flushing the toilets (which are super loud) along with every door slamming and rustling in the hallway. I travel for work and am no stranger to hotel noise but this was excessive. I dont know if other hotels in the area have this problem but the windows are so poor quality you hear every single car that passes by (even from the 5th floor). Highly recommend staying anywhere else.

- 4/5
The room itself was clean and provided the basics. We only stayed 2 nights so didn't feel like we were lacking. We booked the hotel due to the walkability to the arena so for that the location was good. Our only "downsides" were the strong smell of sewer in the area (not the hotel's fault) and the noise. Our room faced the street and we heard sirens and cars all night so the sound proofing wasn't the best. Rooms facing the river may be better. Lastly, it could be the time of year we travelled or maybe the area of the city (or maybe we don't know where to look) but we found the restaurant scene to be a bit lackluster. On a Saturday night it felt like many of the restaurants near the hotel were empty or just generally pretty quiet.

Aloft had a cool, funky vibe. Lots of original artwork everywhere (except the rooms, which were devoid of anything on the walls), and a nice atmosphere for sitting in the lobby area. The staff were attentive and friendly. It was nice to be right on the RiverWalk and across from U Tampa. I’d definitely stay here again if my kid ends up attending U Tampa.

- 5/5
Everything was great except you have to use the $44 valet parking to park on site...
- 1/5
They cancelled my reservation without even notifying me. My wife and kids arrived after traveling all day and they turned us away. I had made these reservations months ago. So terribly disappointing. The staff at hotel was snarky and mean spirited.
- 4/5
Rooms were significantly smaller than expected, pull not working
- 5/5
Friendly staff, great location. Only issue is they do not accept cash payments.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel great location will stay again
- 5/5
This hotel was very clean, staff were friendly and helpful. Valet parking only and was at a reasonable price. Room was cozy and bed was comfortable. Downtown area.
- 5/5
This property was amazing, I loved the atmosphere, & the staff was very welcoming.
- 4/5
Staff friendly, room wasn’t as clean as should have been ( popcorn in corner of room from someone else), would have liked a freezer in the fridge, trash can had no liner and face cloth not replaced. Bed very comfortable, room temp great, breakfast sandy great, nice and quiet and valet staff very sweet
- 5/5
It was an excellent stay. Wish there was a way to just light the toilet and shower area so you aren’t waking everyone up in the middle of the night.
- 4/5
Great location and wonderful stay. The only reason it wasn’t a perfect stay is that the pool was being updated during our stay and the only option for parking is through valet and unfortunately lost our keys for a few hours. Other than that the hotel is beautiful and the location makes it easy to get around.
- 5/5
We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was amazing especially Carl. He did all he could to accommodate us from the minute we walked in to the minute we left. The room was spacious and clean. Wish we could have stayed longer than only one night. Will definitely be staying there again when visiting Tampa.
- 5/5

The room I had barely had any sunlight. The window was small and right up against the building next door so felt like a dungeon.
- 5/5
The atmosphere was amazing.
- 5/5
Overall 10/10
- 5/5
Great location for concerts
- 1/5
Be Very Very Careful before booking. It is one of the cheapest in the area. But they get there money back. They charge $48.50 a night for parking there. Which is only charged to the guests for overnight. That are already paying to stay there. You can park in there garage all day during the day if your working in the city for $20. But if your a paying customer its $48.50 added $250 to my stay just on parking. And the AC was set to 67 but wouldnt get the room any lower than 70. I will never stay here again.

Just stay somewhere else. The rooms are not cleaned regularly, and some even smell like sewage. They keep the air cold, so you don't notice the essence of mold and mildew. The "remodel" left bathroom with poor drainage, shower doors that don't close, and more mold than your home tile. Not to mention unexpected charges for a "fuel station" that you probably won't touch with a 10-foot pole.
- 2/5
I had booked a king bed with a view. When we checked in the attendant was friendly then made a comment about me booking on Expedia. Then continued to say that there was no more king bed rooms and gave us two queen beds with no view.
- 5/5
Comfortable stay, great bedding, clean...only thing, they ran out if popcorn. It was in the lobby first night and thereafter, we were told they ran out 😞..
- 4/5
Everything was wonderful thank you for your service ☺️

Pool is awesome!
- 5/5
Nice staff and clean rooms
- 4/5
Property was centrally located, easily accessible. Clean, updated, modern decor; nice hotel in a great location with a great view. Valet was the problem. First off, if their garage is full they’ll park your vehicle a couple blocks away in an unsecured parking lot (not sure if it’s monitored overnight but I doubt it). That isn’t why I paid what I did for valet. If I was ok with my car being parked in an open, off-property facility I would’ve parked it myself. Then the valet failed to put my truck in park somehow and my battery died overnight. That valet came running back up to me and made me go get my vehicle myself. I had to get my truck jumpstarted via my insurance company and it made us late for our plans. At least they refunded me my valet, and they refunded my room, just buyer beware.
- 4/5
Property was nice and clean. Staff was friendly and helped print out something for me. Only issue was the room facing the street coming over the bridge was VERY loud late at night and early morning. Too many street racers made it difficult to sleep.

First off it’s not mentioned that parking is $40. It is valet. Then nobody gives you any information except go through the door. You walk into a small space there’s nothing there. See an elevator. OK I go up you walk out. There’s one person barely greet you check in you have to have your room key to tap to use the elevator to go anywhere. Do not leave your room key Anywhere except for on your person. The mini fridge did not work. The TV guide did not work. I called they said do you want us to send a technician? Yes I do but by the time I got the second response it was already getting late and I was over it and tire so I told them never mind. The bed was comfortable. The shower set up is awkward. It’s kind of a cool upscale little vibe, but it was cold feeling I wouldn’t stay there again and I told that to the management when they called and questioned me the next day.

I originally requested a room away from the elevator- but was given a room across from the elevator- I asked to be changed and my request was not honored. Additionally, the walls in the bathroom had stains. Convenient location.
- 1/5
It’s like staying in a tiny dorm room.
- 5/5
I loved the location of the property near the riverwalk and river. The room was spacious and up-to-date.
- 4/5
There were some renovations taking place during my stay but overall the room was absolutely clean, comfortable and relatively quiet. I choose a room with a view & got one...mostly of the roof, but a definite peek of the river. Unfortunately, I didn't make much use of that small view due to the work on that roof during my stay. Needless to say my blind remained shut the entire stay!! LOL!!
- 5/5
Great walkable location, staff was friendly
- 5/5
Front desk team was very friendly
- 3/5
We liked the unconventional setup of the room and the overall modern look and feel of it. The area around the hotel was extremely noisy with cars and motorcycles loudly revving engines and racing up and down the main road nearly all day and night. The room was fairly soundproof but not totally. Also, on the second night there was a large leak from the room above and several calls to the front desk unanswered. The leaking finally subsided but without response from the front desk or management. No one seemed to care very much. But that seems to be the overall attitude of the Marriott Corporation as of late.
- 5/5
Great location to visit student at UT
- 2/5
Location excellent. Staff friendly. But. Paid extra for River view. Only view of the river was from the toilet. Room not clean. Grey stains dripping down bathroom wall. “Cafe” had only refrigerated food and no microwave there or in room - or even on our floor! Heat/AC glitchy. Set to 72 would go up once - then back to 62. Saturday afternoon they played extremely loud booming music by pool. Shook the room. “Closet” rod wasn’t even a foot long. No night lights. Only glaring overhead lights in bathroom. Had to pay $44/day for parking. The battery in our brand new car was completely dead when we picked it up. They had parked it and left it running.
- 1/5
They said they do not honor thord party booking sites, such as Hotels.com. We never got to stay and had to drive 3 hours home in the middle of the night. I will never use Hotels.com again.
- 4/5
We had some highs and lows staying here. We loved the location and the hotel was so perfect and we loved the uniqueness of it. However, we never got room service even though we repeatedly asked for it. By the time they got to our room, it was very late, after 4;00 pm, so it was too late for us even though we asked as early at 1:00 pm for it to be done. There was also a massive pool party that we knew nothing about which took over the hotel and there was no place we could go to escape the very loud pool music. It would have been nice to have been informed and offered a consolation since the space was being taken over. However, there was a gentleman working at the front desk in the evenings that was so wonderful to work with and he went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. He was a huge bright spot to our stay.

Unable ro take a shower due to no hot water. Hotel under renovation
- 1/5
The fridge did not work. There was no hot water the night we checked in. It was supposed to be fixed by midnight and the next morning at check out we still had no hot water. There is no self parking and the valet service was terrible. I paid $47 to park my car overnight. They tell you to text the valet 15 mins prior to needing car, it took over 30 mins. At checkout they couldn’t find my keys or my car! I had to walk through the garage to look for my car! I would NEVER recommend this property and I would NEVER return.
- 3/5
Upon arrival we were informed there would be no hot water 10pm -12am due to a technical issue. Upon awaking there was still no hot water. The other issue is the poorly located, lighted thermostat. When in bed, the thermostat's night light shines directly in your eyes making sleep troublesome.

Beautiful hotel with amazing staff!! We had a few bumps in the road when we arrived and the staff went above and beyond to make it right.

a really nice choice for a less-expensive hotel that is still very close to the riverwalk. very clean, the shower was super hot (which i love), and the beds were comfortable. however, the walls are quite thin and the tv is pretty old (despite our room being newly renovated) so you only have access to cable networks. the thin walls meant that we heard people snoring and a dog barking in the next room, but that wasn’t anything a pair of earplugs couldn’t fix. valet parking is really your only reasonable option, and it’s $44 a night which kind of sucks. overall i’d say this is a good place to stay if you’re a student/on a mid-tier budget.

Very impressed with my stay. The bed is so comfortable that I’m not looking forward to getting back in my own!

The location was great and the kid working the front desk was super nice. I guess it’s on me for not checking first, but 44$ for guest overnight parking seemed steep: the big negative was the beds were really hard.
