Loved it

The room was very clean and comfortable. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful, as well as the housekeeping staff. Parking was better 6/13 than 6/6. Breakfast was awesome. I rarely if ever see a breakfast like that one at a continental breakfast. This was above and beyond. Thank you all so much.

They rooms were clean and a nice size. The breakfast good. I was even able to get my child who has alot of allergies breakfast. The staff was very friendly and kind especially to my one year old. If was so nice I was able to book a room the same day I checked out due to car problems without any issues. Overall I would stay here again.

The meals were fair in taste and presentation, but the food options did not feel very healthy or balanced. Adding healthier meal choices would greatly improve the guest experience. One suggestion to make the rooms much better is to add an air purifier. The room air did not feel as fresh as expected, and an air purifier would help create a cleaner and more comfortable environment for guests.

The staff was helpful and the linens are good quality. The tv reception wasn't great, and the remote did not work well at all. The sofa in our room was super low as was the toilet. The breakfast was mediocre but substantial.

Room was very clean, Carpet was clean as well as bathroom. But.... no restaurants around and desk couldn't tell us where to go to find what we wanted which was taco bell.

The staff truly stands out. Everyone we encountered was warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, the beds and pillows were very comfortable, and I loved the blackout shades and ability to keep the room nice and cool (I prefer very dark and cold room for sleeping). There’s also plenty of free parking and great amenities like an outdoor pool, workout room, and daily breakfast. Breakfast was a highlight with a good mix of hot and cold options—like eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, fruit, yogurt, and pastries. The automatic pancake maker and fresh coffee grinder were fun touches that made it even better (loved them!). A few small things could be improved. The bathroom is a bit dated with some buildup on the shower glass, and the toilet paper kept falling off. The treadmill and elliptical weren’t working during our stay, though we were still able to use free weights. The only bigger issue was the Wi-Fi, which was slow and unreliable at times. We couldn’t use the tv to watch Netflix movies. That said, these were minor compared to the overall experience. It’s a comfortable, affordable hotel with excellent service, and I would definitely stay here again.

Although planes flew directly over the hotel, we couldn’t hear any noise from our room, which made for a very peaceful stay. The beds were extremely comfortable as well. After coming off a cruise, being back on land in such a comfortable room was amazing. We’re from San Diego and would definitely stay here again. Another staff member with glasses also assisted us during our stay, and she was just as helpful and kind. The team also gave us excellent food recommendations, which we really appreciated. Overall, we had a great experience and truly enjoyed our stay.

Dirty bathroom floor and tub. Big roach/ beetle type bug ran across the floor when we first arrived. Very noisy between slamming doors and the non-stop airplanes going overhead. Disappointed because Holiday Inn Express was always our go to choice. Never had a bad experience until this one.

The room was spacious and very clean. The entire staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious! I enjoyed the omelettes and biscuits and gravy! The TV needs to be updated as the picture had a weird purple tint. The outlets also could use a repair/update. But seriously we really did enjoy our stay! Very convenient location as it is 9 minutes from the airport and close to many great restaurants and malls. Also not far from Busch Gardens! We will definitely be back! Thank you!

Review would have been 4 stars due to comfortable bed, good breakfast and friendly staff however, I feel obligated for those that base decisions on where to stay on others review/ feedback to state that although not the hotels fault, it’s location in directly under a flight path for Tampa International Airport. I wish others reviews reflected this very unfortunate fact so I could have gotten sleep instead of listening to jets that sounded like they were landing on the roof over my room on the top floor ( 4th) AND reviews did state the toilets are very low but that renovations were scheduled for 2026. I asked staff if this was happening and they acted like 2026 Reno was not on the agenda. If you have issues getting down or up off a low surface be advised you will have difficulty like I did … not a good experience and won’t be staying again

Nice clean room, the king bed was comfortable, and bathroom was nice and clean. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the height of the toilet. It was difficult for me to stand up each time due to the toilet being so low. I have difficulty with balance due to having MS and there are no grab bars next to the toilet for assistance.

Breakfast was a cut above typical Continental, Costa coffee was ground and brewed on the spot and was delicious. Much to my surprise were the feather pillows. We bring our own, but in this case not needed. Excellent experience.

The beds were not queen size, instead the beds were full size. The toilet was extremely low almost touching the floor.

The hotel was decent overall but quite outdated — the rooms and furniture could really use an upgrade. It was also a bit noisy at times due to planes passing nearby. On the positive side, the breakfast was good with plenty of options, and the staff were friendly. With some renovations and better soundproofing, it could be a much nicer stay.

We stayed for 3 nights and the staff was amazing. It was great to have breakfast and coffee in the morning. Room was spacious. Sofa needs to be updated and was dirty so we couldn’t use. Pool could’ve used some cleaning or an available net to do so but otherwise the kids loved the pool. May compare another hotel next time but would possible give another try due to staff being so helpful.

I had some spiders in my room

The carpet around the air conditioner became wet and on our last night there, there was several roaches coming out from the around the air conditioner. Everything else about the hotel was great.

The property is very clean and has comfortable accommodations for your stay. The rooms are spacious and have comfortable bedding. Breakfast has many satisfying options available. The area is very quiet guaranteeing you a quiet and calm environment for your stay. Lastly, the parking is great. Has lots of space and is very accessible.

I totally recommed this hotel. I travel to Tampa a few times a year and will be sting there each time. Breakfast is delecious and changes daily. Room was spacious and clean. Staff very friendly and nice.

When I looked at the reviews, the one knock on this property was cleanliness so I was alert to the issue when I went into my room. I did have to clean up a couple things which could have easily been addressed by housekeeping. Nothing more than just dirty surfaces, fingerprints and obvious signs. that kids have been in the room. Otherwise this hotel was fabulous. Breakfast was great. This was once a great hotel and could be a great hotel once again with just a little bit of effort inside and out. For instance, there is a small putting Green near the pool, which be would be lovely with just a little bit of weed killer a utilize this hotel because it is close to the federal courthouse.

We stayed 2 nights in Tampa. The first was at the holiday inn, the second night was in a much more expensive hotel. While the more expensive hotel was a bit fancier, we only had 2 towels, bath tub dripped, and wasn't nearly as clean, and it was booked months in advance. Our stay at holiday inn was booked last minute, but we found enough towels for all 6 of us, everything worked perfectly, (including both door key cards!), the entire property was spotless, and the breakfast was fantastic!

The sheets were stained when we checked in & on another day they had not gotten our room ready by the time we got back at 5pm. The hotel manager was sympathetic & adjusted our bill. The building looks like it needs some TLC inside (paint & carpet)

Very friendly staff- Wendy at the front desk is truly kind and accommodating. Very clean and well kept property and rooms. Comfortable bed and the breakfast exceeded my expectations. Fresh hot coffee and juices, regular and egg white omelets, fruit, cereal, yogurt, and plenty of room in the dining area to eat. Pool is really clean and clear. Overall, very satisfied and would definitely return.

Check in was quick, room was clean. The king size mattress was very comfortable. I really liked the hand soap dispenser along w the dispenser in the shower which provided shampoo along with shower wash. There was also dining close by. This was decent value for the money. I would stay there again.

The rooms were small but clean. Continental breakfast egg dishes are a must. Take one with you and if you experience a blow out on your car tire you can use them for a spare.

The room had a leak in the living room and the carpet next to the fridge was soaked. When I told the lady at the front counter at checkout she knew about it. I think it was wrong for the hotel to book a room knowing it has a leak.

This hotel was ok but I would not stay here again. The windows don’t block any sound from the outside so the airplanes sounded loud and street noise came right in after about 5:30 in the morning. Anything in the halls felt really loud too. But the staff was very friendly and there was a good assortment of breakfast foods every morning.

Rooms are clean and big and accommodate the 5 of us comfortably with 2 queens and a pullout sofa. Breakfast was exactly as expected given we've stayed in HIEs before. Cinnamon buns, yogurt, eggs, pancakes, cereals. Unfortunately IHG doesn't include potatoes which sucks but it is what it is. We have a celiac in our family so a package gf cereal or muffin would have been nice but we weren't expecting it. Front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful even though she had to deal with a bunch of last minute bookings. I like that IHGs have pump hand soap vs a bar of soap at the bathroom sink. Shower was stocked with Dove shampoo, conditioner and body wash in pumps. Only thing that would make their bathroom better is a handheld shower head.

NO HOT WATER! Three different rooms. Front desk person can’t confirm nor deny but the management of this property is telling them to turn off the hot water!!! Until people complaints. Never seen anything like this!!!

They throttle hot waters!!! Three rooms all had no running hot water. Upon notifying the issue to the front desk, they acted as if I was the only one complaining about the issue. Turns out, they could turn on/off hot water from one of their maintenance room. Will not be staying here again.

Overall the hotel is good. Unfortunately, we had these experiences...room safe locked upon arrival. Had to ask about room cleaning, told yes they clean every day but our room was only clean two day of the four nights. we had to bother front desk staff late one night for towels. Found big roach (insect) in room. Showed front desk staff who replied "oh you had a visitor". Was told they would spray but didn't till next day when we were checking out and they sprayed (very smelly) with our clothes in the room. Our access cards had failed us two days of the four nights...quite annoying when you try to enter your room after a long day. We were awaken several mornings between the time of 7am-9am as roofers were on the roof repairing some hurricane damage. Signs in the elevator stated work would begin at 9am but the truth is they began much earlier. Manager informed me that workers ere only to load supplies and equipment before 9am but not work. I shared video with her showing the noise in our room for them. Manager was aware of the above issues and tried to offer compensation (one free night) but later I was told she couldn't as I booked this through Expedia.

Sofa was dirty when we pulled it out to use as a bed. Had crumbs and an article of clothing from a previous guest. Room also didn’t have pillows or blankets for the sofa bed even though we had booked reservations for 5 people which would necessitate the sofa bed.

We arrived a little early for check in a 2 pm. Check in was at 3 pm. We returned to the hotel at 3:30 pm and the room still wasn’t ready. We had to wait until after 4 before we could check in.

Wow! What a great room! The bed was comfy, expansive space and even a great seating area!

The staff was nice and kind. The room smelled like mildew and mold. But it was booked fulled and room couldnt be changed.

The smell in the hallway was like smell of dusty i wasn't sure but it was not good. The staff was suoer nice specially the lady of saturday morning was very attended and super nice.

Everyone at the front desk was helpful and friendly. Housekeeping staff was also hard-working and offered assistance when needed.

Our bathroom had blood stain on the wall next to the toilet and the room just felt old with a facelift look to make it look nice. We only stayed for one night so it was no big deal to deal with it for that night.

We went to a concert at Raymond James and it was very convenient. The room was nice and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good.
