To say that this hotel includes breakfast it's a very big lie. It has an area that looks from the seventies, it has 3 or 4 food items and on top of that a cup for tips... and you still need to go somewhere for breakfast.

I stayed at this motel and had a very positive experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and well equipped for a short stay. Check-in was quick and the staff was friendly and attentive at all times. The location is convenient and the atmosphere is quiet, making it ideal for resting. Overall, it is an excellent option for the price and comfort, and I would definitely recommend it for short stays.

It wasn't bad for the price and it's right across the street from busch gardens

The first room we went to had buckled floors and chunks missing out of the vinyl floor. The second room we were given had filthy floors but I will say that the linens were fresh and clean. Most of the staff was friendly. The maid was non English speaking and came at 10:15 while I was trying to get all my children ready for a day at Busch gardens. When I told her we were leaving shortly, she had left. When we came back home at 8p.m. From the park, our room was just as we left it and the staff never freshened anything up nor made the beds. Breakfast was sub-par with no availability to the waffle machine and the pancakes were raw when they came out of the conveyer belt. This property should be advertised as 420 friendly as the fumes in the hallways were ghastly at all times and not conducive for a family friendly visit. It cost me over $500 for two nights and I don’t feel that the property reflects its value for what it cost.

The staff that I interacted with were fantastic. Both the man at the front desk and the woman inside the breakfast area were very professional and welcoming. The breakfast was fine. There was a good variety of items. It also appears that the room has a fresh coat of paint and newer flooring. Besides a spitball on the bottom of the wall and a baseball-sized stain on the comforter, the room seemed clean. The surrounding area does not feel safe -- but there is a police station nearby. There were some maintenance issues. There were rolled up towels outside the room next to our AC unit. The wall thermostat didn't work. The only soap by the sink was in a bottle labeled "shampoo". Also, our bathroom door did not shut easily; it took a little effort to make it shut all the way. But the thing that concerned me the most: our room door wasn't flush with the frame when it shut. We didn't notice until we went to bed, turned out all the lights, and saw quite a bit of light coming through the bottom right of the door. It was definitely wide enough for roaches to come through (although we didn't see any). Another guest at the hotel stood outside our room early in the morning to smoke a cigarette, and we smelled the smoke in our room. Hopefully the hotel will work a little harder on maintenance. Again, the staff were great.

Moldy room, mold on the lamp shade & floor swelling with murky water outside of the shower upon arrival. Made my white sock black & wet in the line of the floor crack. Unbelievable moldy musty smell in the whole room directly across from the pool, would never reccomend. And the waffle machine was broken, the pancake automated machine was putting out spaghetti looking pancakes, it was just a mess. For $50-75 more just go to a Hilton for your own health safety

Excellent choice to stay! The customer service is excellent; everyone at the front desk and housekeeping was very friendly. The location is great, as it is just a 15-minute walk from the hotel lobby to the main admission entrance of Busch Gardens. The breakfast is varied and tasty. In addition, the facilities are in good condition and everything is kept very clean, including the pool area. Highly recommended! Constructive feedback regarding bathroom humidity I would like to suggest a small area of improvement for the rooms. The bathroom area experiences high humidity, which has left some stains on the ceiling and walls. While this was not a major problem for us, the hotel might want to consider using anti-humidity or anti-fungal paint to keep the area looking fresh.

If you’re looking for some extravagant ultra clean stay, this is not your place. but if you want something cheap that’ll work for a night or two this will work wonders on a budget

The flooring in the room was damaged and should have been replaced, the seams in the flooring raised as a floor had been wet. It was coming apart in sea. I didn’t recognize it at first cause who looks at the floor, but after being in the room for about 20 minutes, your eyes there was an issue with the floor shouldn’t have been given to a guest stay. Not have been given to a guest.

If you just need a place to stay the night after a long day at Busch Gardens, then this place is pretty nice for that. It’s super close distance wise from the park. However, the breakfast was a joke. There was no waffle mix, and the pancakes being put out by the machine were very uncooked. Also, the worker during the breakfast shift wasn’t the nicest, when I asked about the pancakes being undone she answered in a rude manner. Besides that, the room itself was decently clean for the night we spent.

The room itself was beautiful and has everything you need. The staff amazing, we brought our dog and they were so helpful with any questions and accommodations. The building itself is outdated. We unfortunately had some unbearable people a few doors down smoking every 10minutes yelling something and for some reason who thought it was okay to cat call every time I stepped outside which was unpleasant but in no way the hotel’s fault just messed with the experience overall. This hotel is definitely nice for a quick stay, right near the park and 30-45min from the Rays stadium with lots of great food nearby!

It was within walking distance of Bush Gardens(right across the street) First impression of the room was good. Great view of fireworks from Bush Gardens No room service. Checked in Saturday checked out Monday. Room door looked like someone tried to kick it in. Huge gap at the bottom of the door.

Facility needs repairs, lots of repairs...rooms have tons of water spots, breakfast room ceiling tiles were discolored.

Rooms are decent however there was a lot of worn damaged paint areas in the rooms but overall decor was modern and clean. Hallways are very run down and in desperate need of a face lift. Other than that the staff was lovely and the location was ideal for quickly walking to Busch Gardens (however it's not a five minute walk like it looks, there's a huge fenced area you have to walk around so it took us 15 minutes --- for most it would likely take 20-25 minutes to walk between).

Unfortunately, this stay was not 100% pleasant. From time to time I mentioned that they were having a bug issue. This stay was the worse one with the room having bedbugs. They switched rooms for me because the staff is great but the hotel quality is definitely shrinking. Hope they fix it. It’s a great staff that works hard.

I reserved 2 rooms. 1 for my daughter the bride & 1 for her husband the groom. The ladies room had bugs in it. And in the groom's room they had to change rooms due to busted out window. The front desk staff was extremely nice & helpful. Not sure if i would stay here again. Property was clean and looked good up front but that's it.

Breakfast was the same, nothing fancy but very basic and decent. Quick way to get some food in you and run to the park, and certainly a money saver (it is complimentary). Staff was friendly and courteous. Pool area was very nice. Plenty of free parking. Perfectly adequate to spend a night or two (or more), unless you are looking for a luxury stay.

This hotel is not as advertised. It’s extremely outdated in a terrible neighborhood. Hotel has a terrible odor inside the rooms water and the pipes were so old.

The room was not clean. The bed was stained and was covered with hair from the person that slept in it before me. It was obvious the bed was just made and not stripped. Bathtub was stained with cigarette burns and not clean. I travel a lot, and this is one of the worst places I’ve ever stayed at. The rooms look nothing like the photos. Don’t stay here.

The room was extremely dirty when we arrived. We asked for another room which was also dirty. We decided it was best to leave so we checked out within 30 minutes of checking in. We were informed that they couldn't refund any of our fees for our 2 night stay. They also wouldn't refund us for the pet fee even though we canceled our stay. Property is poorly maintained. Base boards were falling off, missing or stapled to the wall. Dirt, dist and hair was all over both rooms we were given. We booked another hotel a few minutes away for less and it was much nicer.

The hotel’s design has a nice aesthetic, and the location is a major highlight. Being in Temple Terrace and directly across from Busch Gardens made it easy to enjoy the park and even catch the atmosphere from nearby events and concerts. That said, there are a few areas where the room could be improved. I stayed in a deluxe room, and while it had a lot of potential, there were some maintenance concerns. The bathroom vent wasn’t properly fitted, leaving a visible opening in the ceiling. The room door didn’t fully seal at the bottom corner, and the microwave was unusually loud after running for a short time. I also did notice a few bugs during my stay, which is something I hope management addresses. Overall, the strengths of the staff, breakfast, and location really stood out to me. With some attention to room maintenance and upkeep, this could easily be an even better stay.

It needs a lot of upgrading and care, especially for people’s safety. A broken door is unsatisfactory.

The front desk staff was nice and welcoming. The location of the hotel was convenient for us. Parking was plentiful. The morning breakfast didn’t have enough items that you could grab and go but other than that, our stay was great.

Room 318 my mom room has a hole in th vent by the door and the room has a when you walk in the room it could be the AC that has that smell

Staff came banging on my door at 12am while one of my 2 yr old twins was walking around the room as i was putting the other to bed. It was uncomfortable because it happened to be about 2 minutes after my boyfriend left the room to go grab our kids milk. The front desk kept banging loudly and yelling through the door and it appeared to me that he was about to open the door with his key before i screamed three times that I’m trying to put my children down for bed.

Rooms were dirty, even after changing rooms, all three were dirty! Worst thing though was the roaches, all over the places. I had to kill one on my pillow. This is unacceptable.

The breakfast buffet was quite poor. Waffles were good. Milk was sour, like rotten. Hard boiled eggs tasted off, too. Sausage was horrible. There were muffins, toast and cold cereals we did not try. Pool area was ok and pool was cold.

The breakfast selection was the same the four days I was there. My room had a lot of holes in the walls and rust on the drawer handles. Two nights in a row I was woken up by the people next to me fighting like being slammed against the wall and yelling and screaming and they were never asked to leave. And I only had one working outlet in the room.

For the price, it was a wonderful clean stay with super friendly staff and a comfy bed. Thank you! Loved it.

The building needs some upgrades and plumbing can be improved because the drains smelled like sewage when water going through. Breakfast was good but some pastries needed to be fresh as we found mold in a muffin.

The room floor was very dirty, it felt like no one mopped it in days. I ended up cleaning the floor myself because I checked in really late and the floor was too dirty for me to wait for housekeeping the next morning.

Many of the hotel guests seemed like unsavory characters, perhaps due to the hotel location. Most of the common areas, like the hallways/corridors and elevator were not clean. On the plus side at least one of the reception clerks was very helpful in dealing with a room key issue.

The hotel was overpriced

Wasn’t thrilled with my stay. The rooms looked like they had recently had new flooring, but the rooms had a weird odor. After being in the room for awhile I got used to it. But when we left and returned you could smell it again. When I went to take a shower, some black crusty chunks came out from under the drain and the shower water had a sulphur odor. Being that it is a motel style facility, there, and the location, there was a lot of noise from the outside. That’s not the hotels fault, but still contributes to my overall satisfaction of a facility. Overall it was a room with a bed, but wasn’t somewhere I would choose to stay again.

It was a shame the breakfast area was out of order. Since you have space for breakfast in the lobby, the same foods should have been offered there. I also believe the price was too inflated for the time. It's a weekday, and not many tourists are here at this time.

The worst part is the breakfast, they might as well not include it. We did not eat there the menu, DIY waffles, cold boiled eggs (ai opend one and the yolk was blackish, bread and something like OJ..o and ugly looking sausages. My son did not like how anything looked and he can usually eat rocks. On day 2 I had to ask the housekeeper to sweep and mop the floor because it was filthy and I even killed a small roach. I guess you get what you pay for but I hoped for something a bit better considering this is a Wyndam hotel.

Dirty bathrooms

One of the reasons I chose this hotel was the complementary breakfast and there was just a little grab and go option. I know it wasn’t the staff’s fault, they were waiting on an inspection to reopen the breakfast area. But it was disappointing.

My son and I were looking for something close to Busch Gardens for a quick guys trip. This hotel was nothing fancy, but it’s walkable to the park (saved us some money on parking) and clean. We had the breakfast the first day but then the breakfast room was closed the rest of the week due to a water leak. It wasn’t a huge loss as the breakfast was only ok. Standard hotel fare, make your own waffles, cereal, toast. No hot items like eggs and bacon. But the room was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, and it was affordable. I’d stay there again if we were going to Busch Gardens.

The rooms smelled musty, were not super clean and were outdated. The breakfast did not have many options and the attendant was pushy. The pool was ok, not super clean and not very many lounge chairs to use. Parking was good, especially the back lot which aligned with level 2 rooms to make it easier.

Flooring was separating. The smell in the rooms was almost hard to breath. Im assuming from Air Conditioner. One of my pillows smelled like it was put in a sewer. Front desk was very nice and beds were comfortable. Pillows not so much. Close to Busch Gardens, which is why we stayed.

I had to cancel to find a flight home because my mother was in the hospital at the end of her days. I explained this and tried to get my money back and they refused.

Pretty sure they didn’t clean the room thoroughly between stays . There was mascara in the pillow cases , questionable stains on the sheets along with a bunch of hair . Staff did bring me a change of sheets , but had to keep going to get different ones because there were stains on those as well . There was even a vape shoved behind the toilet paper roll . The floor wasn’t swept either . The location was great , and my son loved the pool . Breakfast was anything to brag about either . Probably wouldn’t stay here again .

Main Door to our room was previously kicked in so it wouldn’t shut all the way. No crib was reserved for us when we specifically requested one.

We had two rooms. The rooms were relatively clean, but the toilet in one was broken. There was no extra bedding in either room, and when my husband went to ask for an extra blanket, he was told there were nine because the hotel was full. Breakfast was awful, with grey sausage and inedible hardboiled eggs.

Room was old. Needed touch ups of paint everywhere. Didn't look, feel or smell fresh.

4 out of the 5 staff members were pleasant. The place is very run down. Our door would not shut unless pushed. We left for the day and came back and our door was open. Didn’t need the key card to get in. The room was very out dated with blood on the wall. Couldn’t be moved due to being full. Police were there when we arrived. Elevators haven’t been vacuumed in weeks or months. Paid for a fridge and microwave and still didn’t have a coffee makers. The breakfast was unsanitary and the staff for breakfast was rude. No waffles just undercooked pancakes. No creamer the first day and milk everyone was using. Construction going on next door that’s very loud. Highly dissatisfied with my stay. I will never book at a La Quinta inn again.

Didn’t see a hot tub, the pool was overflowing all weekend into the hallways, our neighboring room had an individual that continued to walk outside his room and smoke weed. The floor was dirty in our room. Walking to the bed after the shower your feet were filthy.

The front office staff was wonderful, however, the lady in the breakfast area needs to have her attitude checked. I went the wrong direction for the garbage and she stated very loudly "The garbage is on the left". We stayed Fri-Mon and the breakfast on Monday there were no scrambled eggs, very little sausage and when we asked about the eggs we were told the eggs were what was "in the pan, hard boiled". When the sausage was gone on Monday, she simply picked up the pan and started cleaning everything up at 9:15am. Breakfast was supposed to be served until 10am. When you have diabetics staying there relying on food, this is unacceptable plus there were no waffles any of those days. Also, they were blowing leaves at 7:45am right outside our door.

Front desk staff was very nice. However, the room was poorly maintenanced. The floor hadn't been swept. The bathroom was manageable at best. You could hear everything from the other rooms and hallway. Just not a good experience.

Outside of that, the hotel itself was just average. I wouldn’t call it filthy, but it was definitely not very clean. My son’s socks were dirty after walking around the room, and I personally saw two roaches. The room also had a strange odor, to the point where we had to light incense. Breakfast was okay, but on the second day the waffle maker ran out of batter. Lastly, while the hotel is directly across the street from Busch Gardens, the park entrance is not on that side, so you’ll need a short Uber ride or about a 15-minute walk to get to the entrance.

The room was clean, beds madeip every day. Breakfast was great! Lots of choices.

The hotel encouraged me to do online check in and then when we came to the hotel we had to check in again and were told there might be a $1 charge for doing it online!

The breakfast choices where the most disappointing. There were too many issues for me to discuss but I will say that having sausages with nothing but cereal or dry waffles, no real cafe choices and horrible coffee was too much for the price I paid for one night.

We rented two rooms. Both rooms had weird (and different) smell. Floors were sticky. It gave us the impression it was not clean. In one of the rooms the water from the bath tub didn’t drain at all. We left the room in the morning, in the evening it was still there. Economic should not mean cheap.

The room never had a sofa bed of which I paid $20.00 extra. When we got to the room, we saw it was missing the sofa bed. It never meant anything then, since our daughter could not come However the stool was not flushing and the phone never worked. Everything at the inn was great. The breakfast was a little sparce but they are transparent about that ahead of time and it's free. The area is a little sketchy what with a few homeless being a bit aggressive in their panhandling. Nothing the inn can do about that but just be aware.

The bed and towels were great. The breakfast was good plus: waffles, sausage, hard boiled eggs, muffins, cereal and tangerines. The facility is huge but parking was adequate and safe.

The property requires investment in the common areas such as the corridors and exterior surfaces. The corridors look dirty and a lot of the external surfaces need to be painted. Also, I would suggest you change the ripped rug in the reception area as it give a bad first impression.

Hotel was not as described on website. Upon entering the room it smelled of cigarette smoke even though it was a nonsmoking room. The floor and furniture had obvious water damage. Bed sheets were dirty, multiple stains and hairs.

The room was clean. However, there were no place to hang your clothes, only a jacket rack. The breakfast was horrible. I stayed at other hotels for much cheaper and the breakfast was great. The staff was pleasant. The overall stay was ok.

We complained to the front desk, and while they did move us to another room, the “new” room was only slightly better. Yes, it was cleaner, but it was extremely outdated, poorly maintained, and definitely not worth the price we paid. To make things worse, the “included breakfast” was horrific. The food looked old, tasted terrible, and barely passed as edible. The entire experience felt careless and low-quality. Overall, this was one of the worst stays I’ve ever had, and I would not recommend this inn to anyone.

When I went to bed felt a strong smell, when check the pillow and bed sheet, noted that they were used . Moved myself to sleep across the bottom of the bed but was very uncomfortable, Then moved to the other side of the bed and it was better. Also noted that the bed sheet was place head to the foot of the bed. a real nightmare to say the list. Shame on this hotel. I was directed to the entrance of the building and someone around told me that they did not have elevator, so I had to walk 3 floors with my luggage. Next morning talking with a cafeteria staff told me that they have elevators. But I did not see any. Awful experience.

The staff are friendly, but not knowledgeable. When I called to make my reservation, I was told it would be $25 for both dogs. When we got there, we were charged $25 for each dog. The room was decently clean, but the floor was sandy and dirty. I had to wear socks or slippers the whole time. We asked for a quiet room and put right next to the pool or a drunken man was screaming for like two hours.

This is the best room that I’ve experienced in a long while- super spacious. It’s super close to things, clean lobby upon entering, check in took too long, geriatric elevator, weird blue light all night, delicious coffee, ridiculously large Breakfast area- you can’t miss it.

This is my favorite place to stay in Tampa whenever we go to Busch gardens. Convenient location,close to restaurants,fast food, grocery store etc. staff are courteous and professional. Clean rooms. Breakfast was ok, basic, it gets crowded at the waffle maker station but otherwise checking out is fast as well.

I loved this location and my room. I am so happy there was a trolly to get my lugage to the room. I was sad the pool was closed early. I was also surprised there was no coffee/tea stuff in the room or a place to hang my clothing but other than that my room totally was amazing. I must have had the best room in the whole place. This is my 3rd hotel in the area and will be forever the only hotel i come back to.

We did not eat breakfast at the facility. The lobby is updated, but the overall grounds are dirty and outdated. The door did not seal properly, and light came in around the edges when it was closed.

All that being said, we'll prob here again would we return to the Tampa area. The beds are comfortable, plenty of hot water and pillows. We'll just not expect a decent breakfast. Thus, four stars.

We were not as pleased with this hotel as others.

What didn’t go well was the Air Conditioning unit— obviously it had leaked inside of the room over a period of time and had soaked the floor so badly that it had caused the flooring tiles to buckle up; I stumbled as I attempted to cross over them. The worst part was the odor — it wreaked water damage! I had to air out the room for an hour and keep the A/C unit off the entire night, making for a very uncomfortable experience, to say the very least. I may never stay at a La Quinta again!

What made the experience worse was the staff’s attitude. Rather than being helpful or apologetic, the staff was extremely unprofessional and dismissive when addressing the problem. There was a clear lack of customer service and urgency to resolve a basic issue that should not have occurred in the first place. I would not recommend this location and will not be staying here again.

The property is dilapidated. The desk staff were not welcoming (She seemed to be annoyed to stop what she was doing to check me in.) In room entertainment is difficult to use (hard to use the on screen guide to find programming). They need a good cable service provider. Lastly the water pressure was extremely low; making showering difficult.

Roaches in room, tried to report to front desk said we need to talk to a manager. Said manager will be there from 3 to 11. We called at 8:40 and front desk person said manager went home.

Beds were very comfortable, rooms were spacious, WiFi worked great. Breakfast was absolutely awful. First morning the waffle makers were on and good but every other day there was premade pancakes that were like rubber. Sausage was cold every morning. Bacon was so thin it crumbled. Eggs were the most edible option. Employee manning breakfast area was rude and mostly watching something or talking to someone on her phone on speaker. Never checked on guests or food. If I stayed here again because of the proximity to Busch gardens I would not go to the breakfast area

The rooms while updated smelled were weird. It was a smell between cigarettes and musky humid smell. After having the AC on for some time and room spray it helped. The floors were disgusting and I mean disgusting. I walked around for a bit without shoes and my feet were black ! The towel in the bathroom for when you come out was black after wiping the floor dry after my kiddos showers. The place has a lot of potential. I can appreciate the updates, and free breakfast which has quite a lot of options and all great. But they really need to clean better. You’re paying a really decent price but they could at least keep the place cleaner.

The price was cheap which is what drew me to stay there. Basically the old adage you get what you pay for so I'm not complaining because going into it with a cheap room I figured it wouldn't be super great. The staff was friendly the breakfast was okay the room smelled like mildew and cleaning supplies and the wood plastic floor was slippery so I took one of the white towels and wipe down the entire floor and the towel was almost black. I'm not complaining because the room was cheap only $131 total for two nights so I didn't expect much. I would stay there again but not with somebody I'm trying to impress LOL.

I have seen the reviews about the staff but I had nothing but a positive experience with the staff. The hotel overall and the room is a completely different situation. The grounds need repairs. I am pretty sure the room I stayed in, had the door kicked in at one point. There was definitely roaches that needs to be addressed.

Place is an absolute dump. Bugs in our first room and the second room had bugs and water stains all over the ceiling. Asked for a refund and got stiffed. I left and didn’t even spend the night. Still no refund. Better off sleeping in your car.

When housekeeping came, they didn't change my sheets. The just rotated them. I noticed by a stain on the fitting sheet when i found bugs in my bed and took covers off.They gave me another room for the night. I wasn’t leaving all my stuff in that room. I literally switch the whole bedding from the new room to mine. No help, no im sorry, no anything. So, if you stay there, make a stain on the sheet. Check to make sure its not on a different corner.

We have stayed here several times, overall its a good value and decent place for the price but this stay was very noisy and loud, waking us multiple times through the night. The room also had a musty smell.

I went wirh the family for my daughters bday, our first impression of the room was a rouch in the bathtub. Breakfast was from 7 to 10am we got there at 9am. There wasnt any no more bacon, when we asked the attendant told us they were not putting out anymore. By 9:30am all there was left was toast and cereal.

I fell in the parking lot so my husband went into the front desk to ask about where was the nearest er he said that they seem like didn’t care that I fell. They could of ask how I was doing.

It wasn't easy access into the hotel with the back gate locked at night and having to U turn my vehicle on the next street to get in, but overall I enjoyed the experience.

The room was a disappointment. The bed was very uncomfortable. The ac made the air and bedding feel damp. While the pictures made it look like the room was relatively "new" in reality they just painted it. The sprinklers were rusty, the screws in the ceiling fixture was rusty, the included ironing board was very rusted on the legs. The front desk employees were nice. housekeeping could have done a better job cleaning the rooms before check in, there were stray hairs on the bedding, the floor had dirt you could feel walking barefoot. All in all its okay if you have no other choice but I personally would not stay here again.

Well first of all there is no closet to hang up your clothes in, water pressure in shower was almost nonexistent and water would go hot and cold. The free breakfast was not prepared good and they ran out of items and would not replenish it and the last day only boiled eggs for breakfast only stayed hear due to close to a family function I had to attend don’t advise anyone to stay at this place.

I don't like writing negative reviews. I try to avoid it, but I need to in this case. The good - we were welcomed by friendly staff. The bad - while the room "seemed" to be fairly clean (although dated), we woke up to 5 cockroaches in our room. This was likely due to a poor door seal. You could see a quarter inch gap from the handle down to the bottom of the door. There were also cracks around the plumbing where they may have gotten in. The air conditioning didn't seem to be working properly as we were all hot at 70 degrees. The beds were also uncomfortable which is likely why we woke up early enough to see the cockroaches who seem to be making a home behind the vanity mirror. When I approached staff about the issue they said they couldn't do anything, but I could talk to the manager who was not working that day. They took my number and told me they would have Delphina call me. It's been a day and a half and no call. I tried calling in again today and I'm told there is no manager on duty today either. I'm grossed out about the cockroaches (there was also one lizard in the bathroom) because I know they can get into everything and multiply quickly, but I'm more disappointed in the lack of care to help resolve the situation. I paid $150 to essentially sleep in a roach infested room. Not acceptable for me and my family. In a perfect world we would be refunded, but at the very least a prompt call and apology would be nice. Super disappointed and will not recommend.

The room was an overall poor repair showerhead. leaked more water than it sprayed. The room was dirty. The door wouldn’t close well. The breakfast wasn’t very good. No cooked eggs to go with the sausage or bacon. I would not stay there again.

There’s insect/pest in the room. I saw one in the wall by the tv and one on the floor by the sink and a little worm on the floor. The hair dryer is not working , the iron board doesn’t stay up and the usb charger by tv is not working. I stayed in room 147.

Property was definitely not what was advertised. Supposed to have a hot tub. Our room was dirty and musty smelling. The door was hard to shut and lock which was concerning with traveling with 2 small children. We put up do not disturb so that our things remained undisturbed while we were out. But it was obvious upon returning that someone had been in the room.

The room smelled so moldy right upon entering and we all woke up coughing and feeling sickish in the morning. The cover on one bed had 2 small yellow stains on it and the sheets on another had some yellow stains. There were stains on the ceiling, peeling of paint in a couple areas and a circle spot where the paint came off from where there were leaks in the bedroom. There were moldy spots on the wall around the shower head in the bathroom. The fabric iron board attached to the wall was so gross with stains all over it. The mirror had rust around it. The floor molding in the bathroom looked like it had fallen off and someone tried putting glue all over it and up the wall and it was all disconnected brown and gross. The handle to the bedside drawer was completely orange and rusted. Not enough towels for to take showers in the morning. Thankfully We didn’t need to spend much time in the room because we were at Halloscream Busch Gardens until late. Only good thing was it was close to there which is why I picked it. It was 1 Adult and 2 teens. We were so grossed out to shower and lay in the beds. We were careful not to touch anything or walk barefoot. We didn’t even try the free breakfast, we left as soon as woke up and went to eat at Waffle House 2 miles away.

I am a frequent traveler andmust have logged over 100 stays in my life a La Quinta branded hotels. This is by far the worst condition for an LQ in my travels. Its somewhere between high school locker room, and a Grey hound bus terminal. Wide open to Vagrants. LQ either knock this hotel down or remove the Brand, its tarnishing your image.

Very old property showing its age. Online photos and descriptions did not match reality. Smelled funky, people had been smoking in the room and not just cigarettes and pot. We actually chose to stay somewhere else and didn’t even bother to try get reimbursed.

Our second time staying at this property, due to its vicinity to the Moffit Cancer Center. Last room has small roaches. This room has visible stains on the ceiling (likely from a previous water leak). Little to no hot water in the morning before our appointment at Moffit. All female staff during check in are not too friendly. Gentlman that checked me out this morning was the friendliest of all.

Everything was over the top nice,But there was drunk or incompetent guests distributing guest,Walking around the property shouting and cursing,Around kids and the elderly families I really would love to feel safe and comfortable!!!

It was good and convenient

Fair value for price. Unsure of housekeeping. Showering at 9 am and housekeeping comes knocking. I leave at 930am put sign out for service but never comes. Had service 2 times in 10 days. Bought my own tissue and soap instead of going by front desk. Staff shortages ?

The towels was not that clean, it was one wash cloth

The place was fairly clean. and it’s a little hard to navigate around the property. But the two major things were, the shower had virtually no pressure. And the very worst thing, was all the roaches in our room. Noticed the first couple about 10 minutes after we got there. thought about asking to be moved, but figured it could happen. Later that night we noticed a couple more in the bathroom. By then it was too late to ask to move. And then the next morning we saw a couple more crawling across the floor. Right before we left we saw one on the countertop. We had to make sure we went through all our bags before we left to make sure we were not bringing them home. I physically checked out at the desk and told the lady about all the roaches. She looked at me like I was speaking in a foreign language. No response. Nothing. I will never be back at that place again.

Room a/c was shut off so it was muggy and smelled like mildew. You could see there was repairs to the ceiling in the bathroom and the room. The door way was swollen and you had to push the door to shut all the way. You could see a gap in the doorway too. Door felt secure enough to stay shut. Shower was hot and bathroom was otherwise clean. Beds were uncomfortable and hard.

I like it. It is close to the parks.

The staff was very courteous and helpful. Pool was nice. Facilities were dated but generally in ok shape given it's age. Our room didn't have a coffee machine, which is weird. It also had flooring that was damaged and the ceiling in the toilet/shower room was cracked and starting to fall in. That being said, we'll prob stay here again, just not in the same room. The price was right and the location was right around the corner from Busch Gardens so that made it easy for us.

Old building Good staff and customer service. Some homeless folks nearby. Feels safe. Pool in good condition. Buffet breakfast standard hotel fare. Worth the value paid.

Was used for a 2 nights stay for Busch gardens, exterior of hotel was lovely,room was clean ,basic but everything we needed,nice pool,front of house staff were lovely,nice little breakfast selection,girls loved the brekky(bacon), breakfast lady in the room was lovely also

Room was clean bed was comfy, we were placed on the first level by the grass that they call a dog park since we had our puppy with us so the downside was how noisy it was we couldn’t get any sleep maybe on a higher level would be better

The room i was in with my kinds the ceiling was patched up, it rained that day, and the ceiling had leaked some.

We were there to visit Busch Gardens and this is basically right across the street. Easy to walk to. Room was clean and the front desk staff were very friendly and went above and beyond for us. Will definitely stay here again.

The room was super nice but the outside didn’t seem clean or safe. The people were attentive and friendly. It’s just the outside hallways & elevator was not clean. One elevator was out of order.

The checkin lady was excellent could not do enough very friendly, Choice of TV channels was excellent, location for Busch gardens was good. Room was tired dark breakfast was ok. Very happy to stay here for a night for Busch gardens but would not stay longer than that l.

Room was full of mold. Couldn’t stay. Asked for a refund.

The room was ok, but this wasnt a nice hotel. It was next to a condemned, falling apart building. The saving grace is the police are right next door. Luckily we were only there to sleep. Breakfast was ok, better on the weekend.

The employees at La Quinta were fantastic. Between the ladies at the front desk and the breakfast workers, they were happy to help with a smile. Unfortunately, this property is more of a motel than a hotel. My hotel door would get stuck and not close without a firm push. My bigger problem is that I found a few cockroaches in my room while I was there.

Average renew older hotel that won’t break the bank if you want luxury go elsewhere if you want savings this is a great spot. Only thing is please improve the Coffee in breakfast room it taste like water Pet friendly

Poor breakfast - lot of noise -

Pictures on hotel.com are NOT what the hotel looks like. Outside needs updating / modernization, no hot tub, game room was closed, rooms could use some attention to detail (missing door hinges, paint drips on floor, etc.). Across the street from Busch Gardens which was cool to see the fireworks, but still need transportation to get to the gate. Centralized area which was nice.

Convenient to the hospital but very low budget and run down. The area felt questionable.

No wifi for first night, had to leave the hotel to work using public wifi; when manager was called he insisted there was no problem even if Jennifer informed us techs had been called to work on wifi issues for the past 2 days; had to show front desk employee recorded videos from multiple iphones showing wifi not available. Dry blood stains on the bedsheets, clump of dog hair in bath tub even though i clearly stated in my online check in that i was highly allergic to dogs, clogged sinks in both rooms, roaches in one of the rooms, rude housekeeping employees, housekeeper was mad bcz she had to come change the blood stained bed sheets, she didn’t know that Spanish was my fourth language, was talking about her displeasure to her coworker. She went through 3 different bed sheets and 2 comforters before she found clean ones which made her more furious! Ripped the stained sheets in half in front us, she just barged in, didn’t knock on the door, When complaining to the front desk clerk she asked if i knew the name of the housekeeper, which i didn’t cz i didn’t see a name tag; she then asked me if she’s a redhead which i confirmed and she replied: i had a feeling it was her bcz it’s not a first time we have complaints about her! breakfast boiled eggs were old, overcooked, smelled. Did not have a clock in room 206. When complaining upon check out the front desk clerk said to expect a call from the manager who was scheduled to come in at 1pm that day, but we never did get the call!

They need to have non smoker rooms.

Looks a bit run down on the outside, but the rooms are clean and well-kept and the air conditioning is flawless. The staff were all lovely and helpful. Breakfast is good, although starts a bit later (7am) than other LaQuinta locations, which can leave you hungry if you’ve got an early start. The property is across the street from Busch Gardens and close to several food chains. The property is also reachable by public transportation, which is something of a rarity in Tampa. For families this seems like a nice budget option. Plenty of children seemed to be having a great time in the pool. The hotel itself was nice, and was more like a motel, with each room facing the outside of the property and plenty of parking. The area around the hotel was not as nice, with many individuals who appeared unhoused or mentally ill (or both) wandering the streets after hours and sometimes screaming at each other. Overall this was a nice budget option for attending concerts at the Amalie Arena, but I might spend a bit more to stay closer to the venue if I return, or would plan to spend more on taxis or ride share services, since walking back to the hotel from the bus stop at night was sometimes unpleasant.

There were German and brown banded roaches in our room and the beds were not actually queen size beds they were much smaller and when we asked for cots so we weren’t packed with two kids and two adults on full size beds, we were told they had them and would not give them to us because we had to beds. We had to keep everything off of the floor to keep the roaches getting into our things. The bathroom was disgusting. Even the outside of the room was disgusting. We could not wait to get out of there! Awful experience and will be sharing reviews.

Overall was a nice place to stay. Do not think the a/c was working 100% as we had it set at 64 and it was not cold only cooler than the outside air temp.

This place is a dump, but convenient

Very good accommodation for the cost of this place right next door to Busch Gardens plenty of parking the breakfast is plentiful nice waffles and pastries and even the patties were nice and warm the room was ample had everything you need coffee was available I chose this one as it's scored better than the other ones nearer to the airport so was happy to be slightly out of the area that evening staff were very accommodated and helpful however the morning staff were quite rude had an attitude and was not very helpful I would recommend this hotel just a shame the morning staff were hopefully having just one off day

Great location and excellent services from the staff. Rooms need luggage racks and some of the expected items, like shower caps etc. It needs an upgrade, lots of moisture and smells.

The hotel was decent overall - clean rooms, friendly staff, and a convenient location. Nothing spectacular, but it got the job done and I had a comfortable stay. Would consider returning.

Nice and clean overall

The room was decent. The noise level all night was horrible. You could hear everything through the walls. The adjoining rooms have no sound proof. Loud music, loud talking. It didn’t stop all night I finally had to get up at 6:30am and the. It got quiet. I probably will. It stay at this particular place again.
