Horrible!!!! Room was disgusting! Walked in and I immediately walked back out. The floor wasn't vacuumed, there was bugs in the bathroom, it smelled musty and mildewy. When I informed the front desk they just shrugged their shoulders at me. I refused to stay there and now they are fighting me about not charging me for the room I didn't use.

The location is a bit away from the city and seems okay for a quick night stop, nothing much should be expected.

The building is falling apart. The pillows are flat as pancakes, and requested more pillows and housekeepe said no. They did not clean the room after first night. Which meant not enough towels. the skimpiest soap bars I ever saw. No bath tissues. they had coffee pot in lobby. I didnt see if ice machines works, no ice bucket in room. I wont stay here again.
- 1/5
This place is a hotel for homeless people. The rooms are absolutely filthy and is the place is a complete dump. Do not stay here. I've stayed in Hostels and some fairly sketchy hotels all over the world. This is the first hotel I've ever paid for and simply couldn't stay there because the conditions were so deplorable.
- 2/5
Staff was great, location is convenient, but other than that it was a nightmare. Room was dirty, with towels and sheets stained. Everything smells dusty and old. The area is unsafe. Ratings were low but we didn't expect it would be as bad as it was.
- 3.5/5
Outside of the building was falling apart

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. When we arrived, the room had a strong smell of marijuana. The bathroom was dirty, the doors were filthy, there were cockroaches, and there was mold on the ceiling. I honestly believe the place should be shut down after an inspection due to its poor conditions and for exposing guests to such a deplorable environment. Unfortunately, the city was hosting an event, so we couldn’t find another place to stay. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
- 1/5
Kiss after 44 years of professional travel, I have never seen a more disgusting place in my life. How dare expedite even advertise this piece of crap. Roaches, cracked pipe, burns on the counters, mold on the walls, the room was disgusting smell. I could go on and on this place should be condemned.
- 1/5
Room was absolutely disgusting, sheets had stains and hair in them. There were roaches and ants everywhere. The property its self is run down and dirty, DO NOT BOOK!!!!
- 1/5
Las instalaciones por fuera en mal estado Las duchas rotas Poca higiene dentro de las habitaciones Las toallas del baño con mal olor
- 1/5
The property conditions are horrible furniture falling apart, leaking shower, rusted shower, coffee machine. Toilet loose, roaches, AC taped together, door close leaving a space opening, carpet old. Covers with stains, no phone in the room, no cups, no coffee, old thin out towels.
- 1/5
Arrived at the front desk, the gentleman checking us in was very short with us. When we walked into our room there walls were dirty, you could tell no one had washed or wiped them down in a long time. We immediately stripped the beds making sure there was no signs of bed begs. Upon stripping the beds we noticed stains on both sets of the sheets. Thankfully we did not spot any signs of bed bugs. The mirror above the sink had nit been wiped down for sometime. We had stuff for coffee but no coffe pot. The hair dryer was dirty. Walking into the bathroom the toilet had not been cleaned and the shower curtain had black mold on it. The ceiling had chipped and missing paint. The toilet was lose so when sitting down on it you had to be cautious. The remote for the tv was held together with scotch tape and it didn't even work. I would not recommend staying at this property.
- 0.5/5
Absolutely nothing to like. Everything.
- 1/5
Roaches, Unclean Sheets, Dirty Bathroom…Just Overall Not A Place To Stay Unless You Have Zero Other Options. I Checked In And Checked Out Same Night.
- 2.5/5
Kind staff and good location. Near Busch Gardens. Room was in disarray. Broken light broken tile on floor, hole in wall, cigarette burns on shower curtain. Molded coffee.
- 0.5/5
It was a nasty hotel and the manager was very unfriendly. Did not refund my money back when I asked you could tell it was a drug area and people walking around all night. My boyfriend had to stay up all night because we had kids. I would not recommend anybody staying there

it was so so so durty!!!! we were in the room about 2 mins…
- 2.5/5
The king size bed mattress was super comfortable and the proximity to Bush Garden and Adventure Island parks. The facilities are really old, mold and mildew, rotten wood on door frame, the bathtub was nasty and all the towels had long dark color hair. In addition there were weird people staying there for long term or something like that, you could smell weed and cigarets on the non/smoking areas. I don’t know, it was really disgusting but honestly I only reserved one night so I didn’t drive back to Orlando and be back at 8am so it was okay bc it was like $100 but I’ve stayed at way more decent places for that price.
- 2.5/5
No breakfast Pet fee should be included in full price when paying online. If putting bringing a pet i like paying everything in one total.:)
- 0.5/5
Tv didn't work Shower didn't work Pool closed
- 5/5
It was good
- 1/5
Disgusting and had cockroaches. Better to pitch a tent then to stay here. Word can't describe the nasty that come out of this place. It needs shut down
- 0.5/5
The checkin. The room was disgusting. The beds were stained. There were cockroaches in the room even in the refrigerator. They were in the bathtub. The ceiling had holes. The fire/smoke alarm was hanging from the ceiling. The lamps did not have lampshades. I would never ever stay in this hotel. We left right away as soon as we checked in because there was no way I would ever stay in that room.
- 1/5
Do not recommend I stayed here for 3 nights the room was so horrible I will never stay here again .to the walls to the ceiling the mirrors the carpet … one bed was smaller then the other! None of the dresser draws would close . The remote didn’t work I couldn’t input any channels. The toilet seat was very loose just hanging from the seat. It’s a cheap hotel but not worth the stay or the rates……
- 3/5
Friendly staff but rooms need repairs and renovations
- 1/5
Building is almost in ruins...
- 1/5
Didn't feel safe at all
- 1/5
Dirty sheets with food still stuck to them with the replacement sheets given to us also being dirty, roaches on in the cabinets and drawers, broken lights, backed up toilet, etc. Pretty bad customer service with some people and just a general lack of effort or care from the staff. Only book this place if you are desperate for a place and even then it still isn't worth the price
- 1/5
Sketchy area never again
- 2/5
Room was clean but the white sheets had visible stains on them. The towels were very dingy in material and the color was stained.
- 1/5
The room looked dirty with old bedsheets. I won’t recommend it.
- 1/5
Due to all these issues, I chose to leave the same day. I do not recommend it.
- 1/5
If I could give -000000 stars I would. The place is disguising. From the dirty doors, to the see through glass when you first walk towards your room. Then you walk in to an awe fully smoke and mildew smell, dirty and sticky floors, dirty beds with stains on sheets, dirty chairs, dresser as well as the mini fridge with mold inside. Once you get to the bathroom is worse. Caulking on top of old dirty caulking, urine stains all around the base of the toilet as well as a dirty toilet and bath tub. This place should be shut down. I really don’t understand how this is still open to the public. I mean, even the pool has green water and you can see the homeless and drug addicts walking around like this is their property. DO NOT RECOMMEND! STAY AWAY!
- 3/5
Yes
- 1/5
We turned the key in and had to book somewhere else. Don’t know how to put pictures on here but stay away! This place should be shut down. And they didn’t not give me all my money back! STAY AWAY!
- 1/5
Unfortunately, there were roaches. The staff member showed us several other rooms after the first, and they too had roaches and were not clean. Not sure how they are even open.
- 1/5
We checked in, saw the room and checked right back out. The room smelled of mold and mildew, the plumbing didn’t work (toilet wouldn’t flush), there was holes in the comforter and there was bugs crawling on the wall INSIDE the room.
- 1/5
VERY UNSAFE
- 1/5
the poor review are all true
- 1/5
If you’ve ever wondered what it would feel like to sleep inside a damp sponge while being slowly steamed like a dumpling, this hotel has you covered. From the moment we walked in, the place had that special “abandoned Florida roadside motel meets science experiment” aroma. I believe the scent profile was equal parts mildew, old carpet, and broken dreams. Pretty sure the mold in the room has its own homeowners association. The AC unit deserves special recognition. It ran all night with the enthusiasm of a tired hamster on a wheel, yet somehow managed to turn the room into a humid terrarium. I’m fairly certain if I had stayed one more night, ferns would have started growing from the nightstand. Now let’s talk about the linens. The sheets, towels, and washcloths were all a fascinating shade I like to call “historically gray.” Not white. Not beige. Just… the color of a long life full of questionable decisions. The stains added a fun “guess the origin story” game before bedtime. The bed felt like it had survived several hurricanes and possibly the Clinton administration. Between the humidity and the mattress, sleeping felt less like resting and more like being marinated overnight. Overall, if you’re looking for: • A mold appreciation retreat • A humidity simulation chamber • Linens with mysterious backstories …then this is absolutely the place.

Parking was convenient and adequate. Air conditioner/heater worked well. The large pool was just getting warm enough to swim.
- 5/5
Eqst parking, nice staff.
- 1/5
The room smelled like smoke. We chose not to stay.
- 1/5
Hairs in the sink and the bed. Is a very low class an unpleasant place to be.
- 1/5
No good

when you walk in the rooms.
- 3/5
Everything thing in the room and the entire building need to be rebuild and remodeled. The beds wasn't that bad; just looked scary to sleep on. If I didn't have my toddler with me: I would of just stayed in my car.
- 5/5
Room was clean. Staff was helpful
- 3/5
Staff courtesy

Very friendly had the room prepped and cleaned fast. I was impressed with it for its stated hotel class even if it's been around a while it is very nice and the staff are quite friendly.
- 5/5
Great
- 4/5
The room was ok but there was rust in the tub and spiderwebs everywhere even on the inside of the lamps.
- 1/5
One glance at the hotel and we decided not to stay forfiting my money and found a better hotel nearby. I would not recommend Tampa inn unless u like crime, drugs and drama

I booked this hotel because it was close to Bush Gardens. The pool looked like there was mold growing on the bottom, black in all the cracks and crevices but the water didn’t feel gross so that’s something. The room was clean..ish. When I woke in the middle of the night I observed a (single, only one I can confirm I saw. However, where there is one there are many) roach in the sink which made me wonder; if there is mold in the pool and roaches in the room perhaps that’s why the shower tile was black and the carpet was dark. I would not stay here again and they should lower the rate and at every least fumigate!
- 5/5
Very friendly
- 1/5
I ask for a refund because I booked the same day and it was not granted I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone!
- 1/5
Roach crawling in the middle of the night, outdated and old rooms, crusty and uncomfortable bed! It was just ridiculous. Dead roaches in bathroom
- 3/5
The property was what I expected for 2 stars. The sheets were clean and we had housekeeping every day. The water pressure was good and the air was working. For the cons. There were only 2 small towels for 2 of us for 3 nights. The mini fridge was 1/3 full of ice. Like it needed defrosting. The tv screen had crayon markings on it. The WiFi was really slow.
- 1/5
The owner was harassing one of my kids . He has the nastiest attitude
- 1/5
.
- 1/5
Holes in walls and around fixtures. Missing fixtures. Bad area and lots of 5-0. Crack pipe burns on wooden furniture. Poor bedding. Tiny towels. Uncomfortable pillows. Roach motel forsure.
- 1/5
The place looked like they didn’t clean in days. Only the bathroom was decent. Sheets were stained and cockroaches all around.
- 1/5
Not a good hotel
- 1/5
Worst motel i have ever been in. And i have been in ALOT of "roach motels". This by tar was the worst ive ever seen.
- 1/5
Did not feel comfortable staying there.
- 1/5
Ac didn't work and roaches
- 1/5
Property was filthy and had an awful smell. Nothing looked clean as well as cockroaches everywhere. You don't feel safe at this hotel.
- 1/5
This hotel should not be in business!
- 1/5
This place is in deplorable condition, the building is falling apart, there where broken windows and its just plain filthy!!! There are questionable people walking around everywhere and when i went to check in the office was locked with no one to be found, there was a sign saying be back in 5-10 min i waited awhile and left!! My cab driver even asked if i was gonna be okay!! There was also an option to pay extra 4.50$ in case you wanted to cancel which i paid!! They refuse to give my money back and said i never attempted to check in!! This place shouldnt be open and the hotel next door say they hear this story all the time!!
- 1/5
Very dirty, very nasty, bad location. We dont stay in this , we see how looking everything very scary.Bad bad place.
- 4/5
Staff was great
- 1/5
Never went into room. Left and won’t go back. Awful. Passed out drug addict in front of the door to the room I was scheduled to have. Go to a different place, you will thank me later.
- 5/5
Close to theme park it's a bed and AC. Nothing special
- 3/5
Liked that the staff was pleasant and helpful. The room was very clean and tidy. Microwave and small fridge worked well. There was no coffeemaker. The toilet was not secured properly and no bathtub stopper. Broken fire alarm. Paid $40.00 extra for the two dogs.
- 2/5
😒
- 5/5
Good service n people always
- 1/5
False advertising, due to the conditions of the hotel. Room, bed
- 1/5
People live there and it is outdoor. Main stairwell smells like urine and you don’t get a refund for checking out early. There were roaches in the bath tub and roach droppings in the corners. The toilet was filthy and so were the refrigerator and microwave. There were dead roaches in the fridge and freezer. Do not stay here. I got a room in the Holiday Inn next door because the conditions were so poor
- 5/5
The deluxe rooms are nice and bed is very comfortable! Nice and clean. 😊
- 2/5
The owners and staff were great but the room and hotel itself is like a trap house there were drug addicts and it was run down and was not a place to bring family and kids
- 1/5
The property was dirty and there is a broken down bus in the parking lot. This property had numerous groups of people hanging around smoking and drinking, broken down vehicles and people were letting their dogs defecate on the lawn by the pool and leave it behind. We did not feel safe and did not even want to check out the rooms. Typically we have never had any issues with a property sponsored by hotels.com but this one is a minus, and will make me investigate further any other time I use hotels.com for hotel services.
- 1/5
roaches
- 1/5
This place is a homeless shelter
- 1/5
The property is located in a high crime area. The rooms are dirty. The sheets and bedspreads are old and scratchy. There was a lot of activity late into the night outside in the parking lot. I can’t believe Expedia does not check these places out.
- 1/5
The window was missing and it had a wood covering, the first room had live bugs crawling over and around AC unit...2nd room was beyond dirty and the sheet on the bed had stains everywhere, the toilet didn't flush and it looks like the room wasn't cleaned in a month....almost went to sleep in my car ...
- 1/5
I will never ever stay here again or tell my family to stay there as soon as I walked in roaches all over the room floor ran everywhere beds were dirty pillowcases were dirty walls were broken inside the room roaches droppings everywhere I waited outside cause it was late like 3:40 when I went in to check in and came right out room to look for other hotels near me I spent time outside looking and talking to family members who walked in my room to see how bad and dirty and roaches there was then I went back up and spoke to the guy if I could get another room and he said no because it took me awhile to go back up o told him I was looking for another place to rent and if he did t want to give me another room to give me my money back to get another place and he didn’t want to do that so had to stay in that room floor was not clean dirty not sweeped or moped ac broken but worked with roach dropping mini fridge had dead roaches all around the hotel trash in parking walls broken the room smelled like roach dropping I had three extra blankets I took from my home and had to put them on the beds to not lay on the dirty sheets or pillowcases with blood me and my sons bed had our blankets on it and covered ourselves with our blankets we did not wanna get sick from laying on filth this hotel needs to be shut down it’s no sanitary at all
- 1/5
It was filthy, things were broken, there were cockroaches. No one should stay here.
- 1/5
We are typically okay with staying at a hole in the wall hotel for a night but this was just on another level of not okay. dead roaches, alive roaches. outside is not kept clean. dirty pool. just super nasty.
- 1/5
No one was in the office for more than a half hour and we nearly left because it was very late and we needed a place to stay. This place is horrendous.
- 1/5
Literally the worst hotel I’ve stayed at – ever. Filthy, chair had like 50 questionable stains. Dirty floor. Terrible smell/ odor. Hole in bathroom ceiling, from which mouse droppings covered the bathroom floor. Molding all chewed away by rats and left unrepaired. Could hear either mice or cockroaches scurrying all night. No shades on 3 lamps, one of which sputtered like morse code until we shut it off. Bathroom sink full of shaving hairs – room had not been cleaned. 3 doors down from about 25 teenagers and a literal wall of drug haze emitting from it. I cannot believe Expedia has this as a “recommended” result – literally should be shut down by board of health. Disgusting, I cleaned, unsafe. Do not stay here.
- 1/5
The room was disgusting and there were obvious drug users walking around and being loud outside multiple rooms
- 3/5
Neutral
- 1/5
For sure the most disgusting hotel I have ever seen in my life. Cockroaches walking around, blood-stained sheets, human hair on sheets and in bathroom. I simply had to leave and look for a different place. Yolanda, the manager, refused to reimburse me for the room.
- 2/5
Not a comfy place
- 1/5
The hotel was not in the best condition. For the price it felt like a rip off even with it being across from the theme parks. There were roaches, the room wasn’t clean. My husband had to buy bleach and sanitizer spray and clean up himself. My family and I were very uncomfortable and unhappy with the stay. We will most definitely make sure to not go back.
- 4/5
The staff is very nice qnd professional. However the area is not what was expected from the pictures that is showing on expedia. The room was very clustered and the closet was on the door where it was hard to get in.
- 1/5
It was horrible. There was a hole at the bottom of the door a small child could crawl thru. The bed sheets and comforter had cigarette burns.. paper thin walls and loud ass people....smh. never again.
- 3/5
GREAT LOCATION, EXELENT SERVICE AT CHECK IN, BUT THE PLACE ARE NOT IN GOOD SHAPE, VERY DETERIORATED, POOR CLEANING INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR
- 1/5
This hotel is dirty and unkept. The walls are dirty, the furniture is dirty, there’s holes in the walls, and the traffic there is mostly drug addicts and homeless people. I will say it’s my fault for not reading the reviews on this hotel but we just chose a spot for a one night stay that was not supposed to happen! The check in guy was nice I will say but other than that I would NEVER stay there again!
- 3/5
Old hotel - tv didn’t work, area is a little shady and it’s gonna be loud at night. All in all it was the cheapest in the area ($250 for 1 night at the nearby la Quinta), not an exciting room but there weren’t bugs or anything questionable. Just an old building. If you need a bed for the night it’s the move - wouldn’t bring kids here.
- 2/5
Booked for a one night stay site, unseen. People were running around and loud.
- 1/5
I made a huge mistake by not reading the reviews and just booking the Tampa Inn. When we arrived at 9:45 pm there was a sign on the locked door that said “be back in five or ten minutes”. I should have taken that as a warming. But I went back to the rental car and waited for 15 minutes and looked for a new booking. Well about 25 minutes later and no availability at any other hotel, I decided to bite the bullet and get our room. We were assigned room 339 and as I drove around the building to find this room, I almost hit three people enjoying a blunt. It appeared most people lived in motel and we were the only “tourists”. Well… we had this much invested so we had to see the room. Holy Toledo! I ran out of there it screamed bedbugs. Needless to say, we slept in our car
- 2/5
Well there were cockroaches and spiders. Hair dryer did not work. No blankets, just a sheet and a flimsy coverlet with holes. The mattress was firm and seemed clean. No tissues in the room. Oh and no breakfast....just coffee.
- 1/5
Place is dirty and falling apart
- 1/5
Toilet was leaking all night, the fire alarm battery was weak and making sound all the time even after I told them they didn't change it.The over all experince was bad.
- 1/5
This was the filthiest hotel i have ever been to. There was loud music till 12 at night and i ask 3 different staff member for an extra pillow and blanket wich never came.
- 2/5
I had been calling the hotel throughout the day, letting them know that my flights were being cancelled and delayed. When I finally got into town, my uber dropped me off at 2am. I get to the hotel window, no one is there and there is a sign taped to the window…..”come back in 10-15 minutes “. There are people sleeping on the side of the building and by the dumpster. People are walking back and forth, cars pulling in and out, that are not hotel guest. After sitting on the curb with my taser in hand, for about 20 minutes, I began to call the hotel. No answer. I began knocking on the window and door. I sat outside for almost an hour. I got in my room at 3:06am. For the most part, the room itself, was clean. The fridge had a big glob of growing ice and the shelves were broken, the sheets were very dingy, wrinkled, cigarette burns and the pillows were awful. And I was in a non smoking room. I ended up laying the blanket that I had with me for the plane ride, on the sheets to sleep on. This hotel needs to be updated, better quality bedding and definitely needs to improve the premises conditions. For 150 a night and Bush Gardens to be across the street, I expected better. I had to stay one more night after those two and ended up going across the street to the La Quinta. It was $10 cheaper a night and 100X nicer.
- 1/5
Absolutely nothing
- 1/5
Property is very dirty looking on the outside, inside the room was fair but not great.
- 1/5
The sheets on the bed were wrinkled and stained, which was incredibly off-putting. I couldn't shake the feeling that they hadn’t been changed after the previous guest's stay. The towels provided were equally disappointing—threadbare and stained, they felt more like rags than anything suitable for use. The overall atmosphere of the room was uncomfortable, and I found myself constantly worrying about cleanliness. It’s unfortunate because the location of the hotel is convenient, but I would not recommend staying here unless significant improvements are made. A clean room with fresh linens is a basic expectation, and this hotel failed to deliver on that front. I left feeling dissatisfied and vowing never to return.
- 5/5
There were heroin needles with the tissues, blood on the walls and the sheets, bugs, dirty everything. Prostitutes outside of our door we couldn’t get our money back from the owner and the police said it was the 3rd time that week for needles. We had to send pictures in to Expedia and was able to get a refund thankfully. We ended up staying at the Holiday Inn next door
- 1/5
Caution for those who have family: this property is in a horrible condition: structural damages, disgusting rooms, broken appliances, unsafe conditions around the property and inside the property, the police came every night due to altercations in the hotel, towels were dirty, etc. THIS IS NOT A HOTEL, THIS IS A SHELTER!
- 1/5
This place is a complete dump. The room was filthy. Hair in the bathroom sink and tub, a sock from previous guest on the floor in the middle of the room. I was only there for one night and that was enough.
- 1/5
Noisy, difficult to sleep. Cockroaches in the rooms. Toilet tank not refilling after flushing. Need to remove tank cover to adjust in order to refill. Overall dirty only thing clean was the bed sheets. Pictures on Expedia need to updated with current conditions. Place nice at one time
- 1/5
It was terrible dirty and German roaches tv didn't work checked out early hoping to get refund on two days
- 1/5
There were prostitutes outside of the property and men selling drugs. Stay away
- 1/5
Dirty deplorable and unsafe it was awful.
- 1/5
Precio. Pero al llegar y ver la Calidad de las habitaciones lo Sucio y descuidado. Realmente esto no debe ser considerado hotel
- 2/5
many random people loitering in parking lots
- 1/5
The whole place was dirty there was roaches and everything was broken the shower didn't have a shower curtain and leaked water , the toilet seat was broken, the sink leaked water all night .... Not to mention the amount of activity that goes on there is disgusting will will never return there again.
- 1/5
I couldn’t stay at all. This place should be turned down and rebuilt, is incredible how bad conditions are found. Dirty with cockroaches and other insects on the walls air conditioning rusted, bedding I even take a peek, towels all stained, the toilet no words, floors were sticky on the shoes, it should not be allowed to be available as a place for people to sleep.
- 1/5
Very dirty
- 1/5
Property was unclean. Room had feces smeared on floor and was of bathroom. Cockroaches everywhere. Fights in the parking lot throughout the night. Priced at $160/night. Insanely expensive for the astronomically poor condition of this place.
- 1/5
This place is a pit. I felt like going to my car and sleeping in it.
- 5/5
It was clean quiet and comfy.
- 1/5
This sh1t hole nightmare was a true Halloween experience. As we approached this house of horrors on Halloween eve, the zombies on meth or fentanyl became abundant. I was not able to cancel because it was past my check in time but I would rather lose my 401k than spending a single night in this hell hole crack house of horrors.
- 2/5
That property really needs renovation, the stuff was not so pleasant and I really didn’t like the smell in the room!
- 1/5
The only good thing is that the manager was very nice, understanding and helpful. But will NEVER stay there again, hurricane or not!

Room was old, but cleaner than expected based on outside appearance. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom fixtures were clean but floor needed a good cleaning. Towels were cery thin and worn. Average rating of '3', good for just an overnight stay but pricey for what we got.

I should have read others’ comments but it was a last minute booking due to my change of schedule and unavailability among other places. The main concern / complaint is the cleanness of this place!!!! It’s almost unbelievable how dirty it feels and was. As soon as you walk in, the room just smells of mixture of stale, moldy and smoky air. The sheets are dirty with some body hair. Blankets are even dirtier :/ I’m feeling sick after sleeping in here. Then so imagine the bathroom. cockroaches in bathroom. Towels are falling apart. Bathtub is super slippery. Outside has all kinds of people and “activities” that leaves a sense of very unsafe and unsettling. Although staff are sort of fine, it is definitely one of my worst hotel / motel experiences.

I had booked this hotel for a week for a family member who had to evacuate their property due to Hurricane Milton. When they tried to get to this hotel, they were unable to do so and I requested a cancellation and a refund of $729.96. Even though an Expedia agent contacted the hotel manager by phone to help me, he flatly refused to make the refund. Regrettable!

This was a horrible experience from the moment the door to this horrible motel . It smelled like pee. I walked in the bathroom and the shower curtain was stained more yellow than a school bus , you could see it dripping yellow liquid . There was hair everywhere in the bathroom . The toilet wouldn’t flush and was disgusting . Every door hinge was broken , lights were out and balls of lint and trash under the bed

Beds had been clearly slept in on arrival. Door jammed, smell was absolutely disgusting. Wet mildew type mixed with stale vomit. Towel bar hanging, same with shower, no phone in room. I gagged then couldn't get out for 2 minutes as the door was jamming. Random people walking by...3 am. Definitely Some drug dealings happening Left as fast as we came. The clerk at counter says no refunds, will be contesting that through my credit card. Never offered a cleaning person, a phone, a different room etc. We were there to take my Uncle off of life support and then left with my sister, elderly mother and no room in a dangerous area in the middle of the night with zero compensation>reserved for 3 nights< added a ridiculous additional layer of unnecessary stress. This is the slums folks. We are not from the area and don't let the near Busch Gardens fool you that this is a safe or family friendly area. It was equally scary and disgusting. Not acceptable for an animal shelter, let alone people.

You should NEVER recommended this place to anyone EVER. Dirty, broken windows, broken stairs. I checked in, saw the accommodations and left. I wasnt there more than an hour. Musty, mildew, candy and.food wrappers around the bed, dirty carpet and bathroom was HORRIBLE. I am fighting to get my money back. IT WAS HORRIBLE

My wife and I booked this room last minute the price was very good. The room wasn’t the cleanest but the staff were nice and friendly

The hotel and area are terrible. We did not even check in and they would not refund the money. It was so bad that we preferred to go back and stay in our house without electricity due to hurricane Milton.

This stay was horrible from beginning to end. It was an Emergency booking due to hurricane Milton I want to say I’ve been booking with Hotels.com for 12 years and have nothing but good things to say about them but on average I spend about $100 on a room and have rented several rooms for that price in that time only two have been of this condition this one and one other one. the entire hotel was nothing but drug dealers and prostitutes and homeless people. We didn’t get room service the entire time and we’re first to hunt down our own towels. The tub did not drain so anytime we took a shower we were standing in our own self and it was clear when we would drain the tub . We had to go back twice to have our room keys, rem magnetic because they kept shutting off our room keys, even though we were still staying there. The Customer Service was extremely unfriendly every single one of them. I got a flat tire on my bike, which I do believe happened in their parking lot, considering it is covered with nails and other debris, not all from the hurricane, thankfully, the power is back on at my house and Hotels.com was able to get me a refund, but I am confident that if I hadn’t booked through Hotels.com, the hotel wouldn’t have given me a refund on a night that I didn’t need due to an emergency. Unless this is the kind of hotel you’re looking for I highly recommend staying anywhere else but here .

The Tampa Inn experience was a horrible experience in the aftermath of Hurricane Milton. The less than 2 rating is to be believed. The 4.8 rating on Expedia, however, was disappointing. The hotel room was smoky, smelly, and the bedding looked dirty and dingy. I could not stay in the room because the atmosphere was very noisy with groups of people clustered together drinking beer outside in the parking lot and some seemingly gambling. The hotel management, when confronted with this responded that this was not a 5-star hotel, and that they did the best that they could. In my case, I could not get a refund, but at least some kind of compensation for a dirty smelly place. The county’s health inspectors should close this place down. It was dirty from the stairs to the room. I knew that I could not stay there because of the conditions. The facility will make one sick. I was so very disappointed with Expedia’s rating. Expedia is considered to be trustworthy, but the Tampa Inn did not deserve Expedia’s rating. I don’t know how I will ever trust Expedia again. I will tell anyone who is looking for a pleasant hotel stay to avoid the Tampa Hotel like a plague. Both the management and facilities need a lot of work.

Illegals loitering outside when we pulled up and didn’t get to stay because I was notified that I didn’t qualify for the day I ask for on the Expedia app.

Available. Thought not the best but served the purpose of checking on loved ones in TAMPA. As we say you get what you pay. So the hotel might not be the best looking but the price was very reasonable. It was not crazy high like some of the hotels were charging $350-$450/night while this hotel charged simple humble amount. There is always room for improvement. They are working on renovating the building and rooms.

REFUND REFUSED HOW IS THIS STILL RATED AT 4.8 ? We booked as the whole of Tampa was full due to the Hurricane Helene impact and this was a last minute one night requirement. When we arrived people were shooting drugs outside and we were accosted by a drunk at the front. The property had broken windows, it was unkempt and looked rundown, even closed as you drove around. Our taxi driver didn’t want to stop and leave us - we all felt unsafe. We did check in to see the rooms - the main desk staff were stressed and had people complaining and also leaving in front us - no refunds were agreed with anyone. The rooms were filthy, had dead insects (cockroaches?) and needed complete overhaul. We have reported to Expedia as this property should not be offered at any price on their site. The only positive I could offer is it is close to Busch Gardens. Stay away !
