Close to the food areas and the base. The staff was so nice. Unfortunately we had some issues with the room, we had to use the bucket for ice to fill up with water so we could flush the toilet. At times the hallway smelled like dead fish or weed.

Customer service was great and very clean

The floors in the room had a slippery or greasy feel to them. I don’t know what they use to clean them with, but it’s not correct. Also, the corridors have a bad smell. Elevator is nasty inside.
- 4/5
convenience & staff, property is you get what you pay for

the scrambled eggs were cold and tasteless and the sausages were similar to car tires. Waffle mixture was full of solid chunk's. charged extra $20 to ck in 1 hr early and rooms were all done by then.

It’s alright:) Staff are really helpful. Maybe the hotel needs a little bit of upgrading
- 3/5
The hotel needs maintenance. Even just a can on paint on the doors, walls and ceiling. Also, inside the elevator looks terrible, marks, dents wood peeling.
- 2/5
Staff was very nice. Given the condition of our room we did not try the breakfast.
- 3/5
Room wasn’t clean we had to request cleaning services.

It was Spring Break & apparently March Madness. If I could have, I would have went somewhere else. The lobby is nice and the staff is welcoming. Aside from there only being two small flat pillows for 2 guests, the bed was comfortable. However, the room had mold, lots of places that needed repair, the walls and the curtains were stained, there was hair all over the bathroom door that I had to clean off, the 2nd floor smelled like 'wet' and the washcloth my Mother used completely fell apart. When I checked out, I informed the front desk by showing him the picture of it and his response was, "I'm sorry about that". That was it. After he did nothing about that or even tried to offer anything, I just decided to not even explain all of the other problems. I am requesting a refund.
- 3/5
Room was dirty and dusty. Had to Clorox wipe the chair, table, remote before I could use anything in that room
- 2/5
Room was dirty, bedding was nasty
- 3/5
The room itself was comfortable, though the furniture was dated. What brought the overall rating down was the fact that I had to ask for linens, particularly bath towels.
- 2/5
Room smelled. The soon in bathroom was clogged. The entry door didn’t close properly. But the waffle was good.
- 2/5
Staff was professional and polite, no complaints there. Issues were first room smelled like smoke, which the staff quickly changed rooms for us, but second room didn’t have hot water, no clock and dirty towel.
- 3/5
I'm being generous with 3 stars because the room was clean and the staff was friendly Other than that I was pretty miserable in that room. I am very sensitive to chemical smells and that room was a disaster. The artificial scent was horrible and there was no window to even crack open to get it out of the room. The sheets were very stiff, and really smelled like bleach. The pillows were all hard and the bed was not comfortable. The breakfast was very limited and should have been more stocked than we arrived. I will not be returning to this hotel ever.
- 4/5
Overall ! Thr room appeared clean and excellent ! After walking barefoot my feet (bottoms) were Black with dirt . A GOOD MOPING WOULD HELP ! The room had a clean smell in it .
- 5/5
Staff was so kind.
- 3/5
Not amazing.
- 1/5
Heat not working with outside temperatures in the high 30's. Telephone not working. Staff totally unconcerned. Breakfast was a joke!
- 2/5
My stay was for two evenings. The toilet didn’t work on the first night and there were two tiny in the bathroom countertop. and I was given anothe
- 5/5
Staff was friendly. The property is clean and inviting and the rooms are comfortable and clean.
- 2/5
Dirty room, stiff pillows, noisy a/c.
- 3/5
The rooms were partially remodeled but the simplier details still need attention. Replacing lamps that are rusting and have mold spots. And replacing old toilets that are stubborn to flush properly.
- 4/5
The room was clean and a very nice staff.
- 2/5
Dog hair on the floors and elevator. Room doors needed to be paint. Every door was pilling.
- 5/5
Excellent
- 1/5
The cleanliness was bad to terrible, the hotel itself is run down, there was a massive air gap around the air con, huge amount of internal noise, light bleeds in through the badly fitted door and ill fitted curtains. We avoided breakfast as it was appealing and lastly, the noise from the road was as if they made no attempt to noise dampen the room. On reflection we should have just left!
- 2/5
The staff was fine but the room was not. Holes in the furniture and walls. The tub was very moldy. Very noisy. We got maybe 4 hours of sleep.
- 5/5
Staff was courteous, and the hotel was great

- 2/5
It was a horrible night.
- 5/5
Mattress too firm
- 2/5
1st room the smoke detector kept going off and on. 2nd room, the television didn't work. These 2 rooms were on the 3rd floor. So, we asked and got the 1st floor. Would you believe the ice machine was only on the 2nd floor. Smell of the hotel and the rooms wasn't pleasant. The furniture old scratches not matching - only 1 lamp. The breakfast was minimal. coffee wasn't hot I microwaved it in my room. The appearance was Not up to my standards from outside entrance to lobby to the rooms. Funny, I noticed the doors to the rooms were maybe 6'5" tall, but the room walls were doubly high. Strange. I picked this hotel based on it was supposed to be on the bay. It's a commercial district. The bay is 2 blocks away with no views. Definitely not worth the price. BTW the 2 young men running the hotel were very nice and helpful of the moving around to the 3rd room. However, they could be dressed better with some kind of professional uniforms, not "street" clothing. I notice these things because I'm in the real estate industry for 50 years. I travel all over the USA, always looking to make a property better and a good experience upon arrival.
- 2/5
Blankets had stains or were dirty. Couldn't stay my full reservation. Owner of hotel did give me a refund for the nights after checkout which was great Owners fid refund me
- 5/5
Clean, large room. Safe area very nice
- 4/5
Front desk staff quite helpful. Very difficult to get a taxi. Location somewhat out of tge way. Room was clean however excessive cleaning products used - very strong bleach smell/odor that never went away.
- 3/5
The room was clean, but had a room on the street side and it was very noisy. The bed and pillows were hard. Breakfast was good. I have stayed in many La Quintas and the price of this one was too high for the area and o really up keep of building.
- 1/5
Beds were horrible. Squeaked everytime rolled over and could feel every spring. Pillows were so hard couldnt sleep on them. Absolutely no give - brick pillows!!
- 1/5
Room was awful, staff wasnt much better. Bugs, entire hotel and room STUNK, room was broken everywhere, ac vent leaked water everywhere. Walls had holes and beds stunk.
- 1/5
The bathrooms aren't cleaned properly; there was blood on the floor.
- 5/5
It was ok need more variety
- 5/5
We would definitely stay here again.
- 2/5
The floor was very dirty
- 2/5
No one at reception desk to check in for over 10 minutes at 6pm and did not get the room that we booked. These were the most concerning issues.
- 3/5
Rooms had mildew and roof was leaking throughout establishment
- 1/5
It was clean
- 3/5
Neither liked nor disliked it was a place to stay for a night. The front desk staff was nice.
- 1/5
This property was kinda drity and reeked of mold no matter where you went in the building and didnt acknowledge the late check out that was selected several times
- 2/5
pool was very dirty . hair was in the bed and on towels
- 3/5
The room is making noise all night and day nonstop. I think it comes from above the bathroom.
- 4/5
the stay and I will recommend La Quinta to my family members.
- 1/5
Everything was horrible the smell it was a low grade for so much money area bad not a place for a family covers smell bed everything
- 2/5
We were able to do late check out. And stayed there because was very close to the fishing area were we are going. Other than that not staying there ever again.
- 5/5
Very Comfortable and Peaceful
- 1/5
My clothes became slightly damp when I hung things up. I saw a roach in the bathroom. I left early because I was feeling sick in that room. Never again
- 1/5
Property reception was pretty and clean. First room I was given the curtain was hanging, duvet was stained and room smelled of cigarette smoke. Went to desk and requested a new room. Second room smelled like mold and duvet was stained, carpet was stained, and box spring had food on it. This hotel was not clean at all. The desk clerk was super nice and professional. My daughter and I left. We did not stay. Cleanliness is a problem at this hotel.
- 5/5
Bathroom sink emitted a sulfuric avoid accent like rotten eggs; alerted the front desk-- see if it gets fixed. Breakfast was ample and typical but eggs were dry and overcooked.
- 3/5
Room smelled like mold, door latch broke, no closet. Was not what was expected for La Quinta inn and the high price.
- 1/5
Bad service Dingy sheets and pillow cases
- 3/5
It started out on a bad note, I didn't arrive until around 9:30 pm and perhaps that had something to do with it, but I stood around in the lobby for 20 minutes waiting for someone to show up and check me in. When I finally headed to my room, the first thing that greeted me as I stepped off the elevator were two room doors that looked as if "The SWAT Team" had tried to force their way into them!!!
- 3/5
The staff was very nice but the location was werid. It was in a shady area and the spots of the parking lot are small. A F150 or bit trucks will not fit in their spots. Parking is limited. The breakfast was barely anything so do not count to eat breakfast at the hotel even though it is included. The tv remote was missing from our room. The hallways smell like mildew but the room was ok for a one night stay. I would not stay longer than 1 night here.
- 4/5
A
- 5/5
I liked the quietness . The breakfast could have been a little more edible.
- 1/5
Poor overall cleanliness. Our luggage sat in the room for less than 2 hrs, while we got a bite to eat, and while eating we decided we didn't feel safe staying there (2 "older" women traveling alone). When we returned to LaQuinta we told the clerk that we had decided not to stay and i was told a refund of the $176 paid may not be forthcoming. That's just wrong.
- 1/5
Two nights I was there and repeatedly had to ask for a different room, the beds were like sleeping on concrete, pillows stuffed with towels. We had to contact the police as there was a domestic fight right outside my door that went on all night long, hotel staff did nothing about, my kids were traumatized and did not feel safe at all. They had drug addicts there. The people that were fighting come to find out they live in this hotel. They threw everything out of the room there was crashing and banging. This girl was hit repeatedly. But they did nothing about it. It’s as if they brushed it off because they knew people lived there. It was a horrible experience when you have little kids with you. The hotel manager is rude and dismissive of everything. Even when contacting the police the hotel still doesn’t care. Please don’t bring your children and stay here. I regret it!
- 2/5
Drug addicts hanging out in rear of property. Was told NO to breakfast while other people were cooking their waffles right on front of us. You get 1 towel per room, even with a 2 bed room. Doors that open to other rooms allow loud neighbors to make noise till 2:30 am.. avoid this spot
- 4/5
The staff was very helpful and guest oriented.
- 2/5
Bedsheets, towels were very dirty. Walls were stained, shelves and drawers very dirty. Staff was super nice and accommodating
- 4/5
Our room was clean. The housekeeping service was fantastic. Quiet for being on a busy road. Walkable to restaurants and shops. Unfortunately our hallway always smelled like marijuana due to other guests.
- 4/5
Giving a good rating since nothing went wrong, hotel was overall clean and we didn’t have a bad experience but hotel could use some work. Lobby most attractive part of hotel. We stayed 2 nights. Was “upgraded” to execute suite which basically had a small kitchen. It did not have a closet however which was inconvenient. Safe was on floor not secured. only 2 towels no. ahh may or facecloths. soap and shampoo provided, the mirror in bathroom was great my favorite part of the room. Seems to be a lot of long term guests/ residents, everyone was quiet & respectful of each other. Breakfast was fine for what it is, juices seemed watered down day 2. Staff we interacted with were great.
- 1/5
This hotel is dirty, nasty, ohh did i say dirty and nasty already. The room are not sound proof so u can here the other person conversation next door. The rooms smell. I will sleep in my car before staying here again.
- 5/5
We needed a quick overnight stay and this place was perfect. Very convenient, clean, friendly, safe.
- 5/5
Lovely hotel
- 1/5
It was a smelly room
- 5/5
Great stay, great staff as well. Will be coming back soon!
- 3/5
We didn’t like the beds. That’s the only thing . Very uncomfortable
- 5/5
Very convenient
- 3/5
It was ok. Served its purpose.
- 3/5
Tight space, not clean
- 5/5
The hotel staff could not have been more accommodating. They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and informed. They were great with which to interact. The room was adequately queen. The room was quiet. I especially enjoyed the pool setting. Would definitely return. It was also conveniently located between Tampa and St Pete.
- 1/5
The room was absolutely disgusting. The floors were sticky, I refused to put anything on the ground. The AC smelled of body odor as did the hallways. The curtains were torn.
- 4/5
Staff was very pleasant. They were at your beckon call and provided as per your request and that we stayed there for 4 nights made that nice. Very convenient location to eateries, Laundry, stores, etc.
- 5/5
Easy convient location restaurants near by
- 5/5
Staff willing to provide good customer service.
- 2/5
Needs more cleaning in the back of the headboard
- 4/5
Room was a good size and had all basic needs, it was clean and quiet. No complaints.
- 5/5
I stayed here for my birthday trip to Tampa, the staff was EXTREMELY nice very helpful, customer service was A1. My room was comfy and clean, i had no issues here.
- 5/5
Liked everything
- 5/5
A very good place to stay.
- 2/5
The staff was friendly and main area clean. The room was musty smelling and there was so much moisture in the air that the floors were slippery. The coating on my good and plenty candies melted off overnight from the moisture. I asked another guest to walk in my room, and he totally agreed there was something wrong. The staff moved me to another room, which was better, but still had the same musty smell.
- 1/5
Super dirty the room smells bad the noise from the people next door didn’t let us sleep
- 4/5
The property was small lack parking. The pool was no thrills. You had to go out a back door walk to right. Nothing special but it was clean and clear. There was a continental breakfast free which was fine if you need something quick to eat. The staff was very friendly.
- 2/5
Staff was very kind and helpful. The bath tub and shower area were newly remodeled, clean, and shiny. Those are the only good things I can say about the place. The room smelled like mildew. The furniture needed replacing.
- 5/5
nice reception friendy
- 1/5
Go elsewhere. This place is a prime example of false advertisement. The rooms remind me of red roof inn or other shady motels. The staff refer everything to management and management is only available under certain circumstances. The manager gave incorrect information and then refused a partial refund for a night we didn't stay.
- 5/5
Decent place with one of the most hospitable staff I’ve ever encountered
- 1/5
The curtains in the room do not close. They have some white curtain that is see thru. But you cannot close out the light.. this is the only hotel in my life i have ever seen without curtains to block the light. Worst nights sleep i have gotten just terrible how cheap are the peoole who own thos place...
- 5/5
Convenient. Clean. Quiet. Nice staff.
- 5/5
Clean enough. Room was huge, vaulted ceilings. We missed breakfast because we slept in but the room was not loud during the times - and we were on the first floor.
- 4/5
I like that the property has been updated but the continental breakfast not too good …. The waffle batter was too watery so waffles ended up soggy inside — also scrambled eggs were cold and rubbery —- maybe a nearby microwave unit can help
- 1/5

- 5/5
It was clean and quiet
- 2/5
The room was in disrepair with bare wood beams exposed. There was no closet in the room and the soap dish was missing in the shower. The staff was very kind and attentive. And the room was clean. Breakfast was standard but could have been cleaner.
- 4/5
Just what i needed. Loved it very nice friendly staff.
- 3/5
Clean room, nice space
- 5/5
Stay was fine. Until the front desk agent came to my car where I was smoking a cigarette. It was too hot to be outside.and told me I had 10 minutes to go to my room. Mind you there was other people outside in standing by their car in the parking lot smoking. He said nothing to them and just came to my car. I packed my stuff and left. Wasn’t worth the argument. I already knew I had a losing battle my skin color wasn’t allowed to be outside. Won’t book again!
- 4/5
Property is good however the pool area is very small and breakfast selection could have been better
- 3/5
It was an average hotel
- 5/5
Hotel was very clean and staff were friendly
- 2/5
Wanted to charge $25 for early check in of 2.5 hours. My room wasn’t ready on time. It was 45 minutes late. No soap, no towels. Left a dirty towel from a previous guest. Bathroom had not been cleaned with any type of chemicals. Pool was unclean. Pool area had rubbish and towels laying everywhere for days. Insufficient parking.
- 1/5
So dirty in the first room he showed me it had a bunch of long hair in the bed, the second room did not even look like it was cleaned from the previous person. It so so bad that I refused to stay and check out and had to pay 2 times as much at the Hilton but that was at least worth the price.
- 3/5
Does not look anything like the pictures. Much more low quality and run down. This place should be about half the price.
- 1/5
Black mold on wall and ceiling water damage on furniture handicap room but had to scLe the wall to get in shower 3 ft high. Lamps were filfy along with room and bathroom not clean tried to add more picture would not let me. We need a refund
- 5/5
The eggs were awesome.
- 5/5
Very nice
- 2/5
Room did not have a closet, just some rings hanging out from the wall with no hangers. The fridge was just sitting on the floor alone next to a wall. They say they have housekeeping but did not come to my room. When I mentioned it to the person at the front desk they said because I had the do not disturb on my door. We took that sign down and was out of our room at 9:30 am. So does this mean they were going to do it at 8am?so apparently they never even tried to go back and look if it was off. Our bathroom sounded like it had a leak every time the people upstairs took a shower. This is also under an underpass and you can hear the cars and motorcycles all night. The big king size bed only had 3 tiny pillows and the room did not have a blow dryer like they advertised. I had to go to the front desk and they gave me more pillows and a blow dryer. They also did not have enough room for parking and people had to double park on the side of the building. I would not recommend or stay at this hotel again.
- 5/5
I loved the cleanness of this hotel! The staff was also very helpful and answered all my questions. I called to let them know I was going to arrive late to do my check in, and they answered the phone quickly and let me know it was okay I get there later in the night.
- 5/5
Friendly.. helpful… clean… fresh breakfast.
- 5/5
I stay at La Quinta a lot. I travel alone with a dog and I've always had good luck with them and at a decent price. Great staff, love their beds and showers and i can get s later check out for only $10 more. Can't beat that!

Horrible, rooms are not clean properly. Sticky floor, dirty bathroom. Pictures on Expedia are a lie, they make it seem way better than it is. Do not book here.
- 5/5
The service was very good
- 1/5
This experience is unrateable, the room smelled and the bed was dirty, there were also bugs in the room. After complaining they never apologized and did not offer a refund
- 4/5
The property has not enough parking space for all the guests and the staff was not really friendly. At the Breakfast the was not enough food so we has to eat pretty much left overs.
- 5/5
Its good
- 3/5
The staff was great but the area was very noisy and it felt like I had no privacy
- 2/5
There were Roaches in the bed and never any parking when getting back at night. I worked night shifts and always struggle to find parking. And the room was dirty and stains everywhere.
- 5/5
The staff was absolutely amazing. The room was very clean as well as the whole hotel. We loved staying here
- 5/5
I really like the staff easy check in they offer late check out.
- 1/5
When I booked through Expedia I did not see an option for early check in. Immediately after booking, I called the property and gave them my reservation information and asked if I could do early check in. They asked me what time. I told them around 1pm and they said yes. I arrived at the appointed timeframe only to be told that there were no notes in my reservation for early check in. I agreed to pay the $20 fee which I had not been told about previously so I could still check in early. I received a room only a few moments later after being told they had been booked full the night before. I booked a single king bed room and had to get a double queen instead at the same price which was fine. Throughout the night I noticed the floor had not been swept or mopped. The curtains appeared to only have sheer curtains and I later found a set hidden in the back at around midnight. (Thankfully) The parking lot is very cramped with too many spaces in the size lot which still aren’t enough for the amount of rooms they have in the building. Now that I’ve said that, the front desk person (after the original guy I met) was kind and attentive. The breakfast was decent and I was happy to see there were other options that accommodate my allergies. (I didn’t even ask them previously since I figure I can always eat somewhere else) They do have a small convenience section where you can buy drinks and snacks which was very handy to have available.
- 5/5
Nice place to stay to catch an early flight out.
- 5/5
Wonderful staff
- 2/5
Read all of wonderful reviews and thought it’s a name brand hotel…but the toilet seat was broken, coffee pot broken. Tv remote…just keep unplugging the tv to reset. That was a pain! Hallways were smelly. Elevator, smelled terrible too. The staff however were kind, understanding. Tried to make a things right immediately, which was appreciated! Then juice machines were broken, but breakfast looked good. Last, but worst? One disabled parking space! The spaces are so small, once I tried to park, I could not exit my vehicle! I am pretty sure this parking lot is in violation of ada standards, the rest of the lot cars parked all over, so it was like playing Tetris to get out! Not the worst, but definitely a 2-3 not an 8.
- 5/5
The employees were great
- 5/5
Very nice hotel and would definitely stay again
- 4/5
😎
- 4/5
The room we had was recently renovated and overall was not bad. It was a bit pricey, but so is everything else this time of year. The real negative is the noise from the road. All night it was loud modified exhausts racing up and down the street. Not the hotels fault, but It kept waking us up. They should lean on the police for some late night traffic enforcement.
- 3/5
This is kind of a last ditch property at best. We settled at this property as most others were sold out. What we paid for the night was a complete ripoff as compared to the price paid, wow!!!
