Reviews
The hotel reviews are mixed, with guests appreciating the friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, and convenient location. However, there are consistent complaints about the outdated facilities, noise from the highway, and issues with room amenities.
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Clean rooms
- Outdated facilities
- Noise from the highway
- 4/5
Obviously this is a budget hotel at half the price of the chain places. With that in mind, it is an excellent choice. Everything was very clean and looked brand new. Ask for a room on the backside of the property. US19 is very loud.
- 4/5
Bastante bueno
- 5/5
The team at this location was very helpful! My sister was there about 12 days! Great Job! We will use this hotel in the future! Thank you!
- 5/5
Had a great experience and will definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Our second time staying here. Staff is amazing. Very cute little hotel. We had a good time staying here.
- 5/5
The best location to ask for.
- 4/5
For the price , it was a great stay
- 5/5
Staff is always friendly and they have a nice pool w a deep end. Convenient location. I stay here when I come to visit family.
- 5/5
Staff was great. I made a mistake in my booking and they accommodated me. This is not a fancy place, but it is clean, and rooms are cleaned every day. My room had a coffee maker, microwave and small fridge.
- 5/5
Muito bom
- 5/5
This place is a hidden gem , booked last minute for a quick trip to tarpon springs super close to the historic district , room was really clean ( smelled like cigarettes but that’s whatever for an older hotel ) pool was nice , hot tub worked and was hot , shower was nice and hot , no complaints ! Easy check in & check out .
- 4/5
We only stayed long enough to shower and sleep. Everything was fine. Somewhat outdated but clean
- 3/5
No kitchen, room had microwave and coffee pot both units cords didn't reach outlets! I had to switch around both to reach an outlet, microwave had be turned on its side as well to use. Coffee offered in room was terrible ended up buying jar of instant, lol
- 5/5
Photo showed full size fridge but only a mini fridge. didnt use the hot tub but i did see others using it.
- 4/5
Great stay for the price. Love the pool and hottub
- 2/5
Staff were great. Arbitrary deposits using a square POS system is interesting. Would stay at a similar priced chain instead. Mold in the bathroom, no exhaust fan. Outlets, shower, key system, many other things in need of renovation or upgrade. Overall not terrible but wouldnt reccomend and didnt feel like it was worth 100 per night. The staff made it right and were polite. No complaints with cleanliness.
- 4/5
We have stayed here many times over the years . Very convenient to food and shopping.
- 4/5
Room smelled like smoke
- 4/5
Price is very good. Nice pool. Rooms are acceptable, but smells , so you'll need to put the a/c on high (bring a sweater). Let me say it this way, if you need a place to just sleep and want to save money, this is the place. If you want a place to socialize, think twice!
- 2/5
Most of the rooms face Highway 19 the loudest most crowded road I have been on. So it is loud and roaring motorcycles and semi's well past 10 pm. The rooms are a bit musty smelling as this is a dated property. The bathtubs have a silly water facet with a crazy double dials. Save some money and try the much nicer and quieter Rodeway Inn in N. Port Richey and save $25. The rooms are more modern especially the bathrooms but do check to make sure the wall hair dryers work.
- 5/5
Always clean room when needed
- 4/5
Upon arriving to the front desk I was greeted with a smile. Marty was very helpful and accommodating. The office was clean and inviting. He set us up in the perfect room, 2nd floor overlooking the pool. My only complaint was the smoker next door was outside a lot smoking and leaving his ashtray by the door. Our room was large and clean. The pool was very clean and refreshing after a hot day of golf and beach activities. The staff member Marty also gave us great recommendations for restaurants and bars to check out.
- 5/5
Rooms clean and spacious, the pool and hot tub looked clean and well maintained dishes for 3-4 provided. The staff was exceptional.
- 5/5
Clean, staff where nice room was perfect
- 5/5
Clean. They clean the rooms when you want them to
- 2/5
Nice that we got upgraded to a kitchen net room but we saw a dead roach then the next night we saw a live one. Was very disappointed and grossed out.
- 5/5
Clean, staff helpful, alot of restaurants nearby
- 1/5
I have no idea how this hotel has a good rating. The staff was not friendly. The room was straight out of 1980. The TV sucked. The stairs shook like they were gonna fall off the building when you went up them. I got a hotel room so that I could shower after a trip on the road and didn’t even want to use the shower. Would not stay again.
- 5/5
Yup
- 1/5
Checked in and back out 5 minutes later. The room smelled musty and moldy, everything in the room was damp. It looks like they put a quick coat of paint on the walls to hide everything that was wrong. Extremely disappointed. No refund either then I was asked if i did anything to the room or could it be re rented… shameful
- 3/5
my non smoking room smelled like smoke
- 4/5
Great location
- 4/5
This is a perfect spot if you’re just in the area for a fishing trip.
- 4/5
We enjoyed our one night stay at Tarpon Shores Inn. It was perfect for our needs, comfortable and clean. The room was very spacious with a little sitting area as well. The manager on duty was extremely helpful and super friendly and gave us a great restaurant tip for dinner. We will definitely stay there again when in town!
- 4/5
The room was spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable. The bathtub could use some updating but otherwise a comfortable one night stay.
- 5/5
Nice place. Totally worth a night stay. It’s a little dated, but it was very clean. Staff was nice and helpful. We didn’t use the pool or hottub, but they did look inviting.
- 5/5
A few minor problems dealt with promptly.
- 2/5
Check-in person yelled at me upon arrival. Not impressed. Never said sorry. The room smelled musty and smokey. Once we turned on the AC and ran that it improved overnight. Beds were comfortable though.
- 5/5
It was OK. Room smelled a bit stuffy but otherwise what you would expect for the price
- 4/5
No kitchen in room I stayed in, Hot tub was hot, had good jets. Room was clean, we needed more towels though, went and got them from desk.
- 5/5
Did not use
- 1/5
The night staff way nicer the the guy in the morning. Our towels had stains on them so I refused to used them and when I checked in online it said nothing bout breakfast so I went to ask and I was met with rudeness. At 7am in Monday morning. Not pleased at all.
- 4/5
Slight oder when going into room. Don't think it was cleaning solution.
- 4/5
A nice cozy room at a good price. A one night get away for the wife and I. We will stay there again when in the area.
- 1/5
I depend on reviews when I travel. I read the reviews for this property prior to booking. I cannot understand how there are so many people giving good reviews. I can handle an older place that is dated. This hotel is those things but it’s also dirty and smelly. There were hairs on the refrigerator door and a child’s toy underneath the bed. The room smelled like years of cigarette smoke and mold. I very rarely give terrible review but I don’t want anyone else to fall for the trap that I did reading the other reviews.
- 5/5
A Classic 70’s motel. Owner-Manager very nice & helpful. Room was simple but clean . Location was close enough to walk to Chili’s, Duncan Donuts ; great coffee. Breakfast croissant - sandwich was good as well. Also very close to the Sponge Dock area !
- 5/5
This place was great. A bit of an older motel but the housekeeper, Theresa,is fantastic! She even found us more pillows! The sauna was not working when we were there but the hot tub and pool were great. Perfect for a getaway to Tarpon Springs.
- 3/5
Front desk staff helpful. This is a cheap stay for a reason, no luxury here. Some evidence that room was not thoroughly cleaned. Hotel has held $25 of deposit. Nothing taken, didn't damage anything , or break rules. Not responding to inquiry.
- 5/5
Our room had a seating are to relax, separated by a half wall from the rest of the room.
- 4/5
Did not use the pool looked nice. Spa was ok. Needed attention. If yoy want a trip back to the early 90s great place. Staff was excellent location excellent. Rooms are old still use an actual key. No breakfast. Tvs are very small and old. I would stay again if i needed a 1 night in the area.
- 4/5
I do not agree with hotels taking $100 out of your debit card and keeping it for three days not all hotels do that they have your card if something happens they could charge your card why they feel like they have the right to tie up your account is beyond me, and when I called for two days asking when my money was gonna go back in my account, the staff was rude
- 5/5
Sauna was great. Hot tub has a little too much chlorine
- 3/5
We had a one night stay and the location of the Inn was convenient for us. But I wouldn’t stay there again. It was dated and not super clean. There were dust bunnies under the bed. Also there wasn’t any way to lock the second dead bolt from the outside.
- 5/5
We had a wonderful getaway1
- 3/5
Air conditioner/heater was very noisy. Kept me awake. The weather was chilly but the unit did not keep the remove warm.
- 4/5
Looked clean. Not sure floors had been mopped recently. Nice staff! Pool was very cold. The heater wasn’t turned on until I’d been there over a week. Not all their fault because it had been colder but it had warmed up quite a bit. The pool is nice and 81/2 ft deep. I finally got to where I could get in about 4 ft then to my neck. I picked this place because I wanted to exercise most days after 2 knee replacements. Then a couple cool days! No one’s fault and when I left still couldn’t get in. Great location. No cable tv but lots of local programming. I stayed from February 8-28.
- 5/5
Great
- 4/5
Comfortable accommodation for emergency overnight stay at a reasonable cost.
- 4/5
Room clean. Staff was nice. We slept and left.
- 4/5
Amenities were still open and we got there late.
- 4/5
Room was clean staff was amazing , will definitely consider staying there again if I'm in town
- 5/5
Location is conveniently close to Tarpon Springs downtown and sponge docks so price was reasonable. Front desk staff were cordial and accommodating. A drawback is there are no elevators. We were assigned a room on the second floor but were able to change it to the ground level so we didn’t have to haul several large suitcases up the stairs. Room was comfortably large with a small kitchenette area.
- 5/5
Clean room, comfy bed
- 3/5
Ok for the price, but the room we stayed in had an unpleasant odor. Otherwise it was clean.
- 5/5
Room was tidy, staff was great and pricing was reasonable for the accommodations.
- 5/5
Clean room and courteous staff.
- 5/5
Tarpon Shores Inn is a fabulous, affordable, and conveniently located motel. The rooms are spacious, fully-equipped and well-maintained. The staff is awesome, friendly and accommodating. Everything you need is here: microwave, refrigerator, laundry, swimming pool, hot tub, restaurants and shopping within walking distance.
- 5/5
We always love staying here for affordable and clean accommodations nearby everything. I would suggest better convenience outlet management as plug ins were not optimal. We will be back
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
We have been staying here since 1998 and the location ,the price and the amenities are worth it to us. Unfortunately this trip the Sauna wasn't working. The positive is they have upgraded the rooms.
- 5/5
Excellent
- 2/5
First room the door was wide open and towels and sheets on the chair. Sign on door said please keep door locked made you feel unsafe. Front desk was helpful and pleasant bu8t will not stay there again
- 1/5
Why on earth does this place not take state ID as a valid form of identification? No problem. I just went to the place a few miles south and even saved some money.
- 4/5
Dated but clean. Spacious rooms. Great staff.
- 5/5
Hotel is a little dated, but management is good and property is clean.
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff.
- 3/5
Also the refrigerator leaked inside.
- 5/5
Very clean and quiet
- 5/5
Tired but clean!
- 4/5
Room is clean but lighting was limited. Staff very friendly and always willing to help. Didn't see a hot tub but to be fair I didn't look. There is a fridge a microwave and a coffee machine in the room. There are lots of food options around including IHOP, Burger King, Mc Donald's, Chilli's, Arby's and Walmart and Publix have a deli and food station.
- 5/5
Hot tub need better cleaner
- 2/5
The bed was horribly uncomfortable. There was some type of bugs crawling on the sink in the bathroom that we don’t quite know what it was. Looked like gnats, but did not fly. Definitely was not ants. The bathroom was clean, however the decor in the room is very much from the 80s. The comforter on the bed is definitely an older style comforter. We did not have time to use the pool, but the front desk clerk was extremely nice and offered to keep the pool open longer for us since we arrived so late but we declined. We ended up checking out early because we could not sleep so we only stayed for about six hours.
- 5/5
All went well.
- 5/5
Really nice stuff.May we got on first floor like we wanted pulls clean lines convenient location
- 5/5
It was really comfy and my two picky teens and I . We were comfortable and very
- 5/5
Nice place. Friendly staff. Clean and roomy.
- 5/5
The motel is old. But very clean and well taken care of. And the price cannot be beat. And the management was friendly.
- 3/5
I really didn’t like the room, very old ,the mattress was so bad we couldn’t sleep. It was like there was a hole in the middle. It was clean but you can’t erase the smell of cigarettes.
- 4/5
Nice older hotel clean room very small bathroom
- 5/5
Good Service and location
- 5/5
We had the best stay 16 days small hotel top knoch gonna stay again next year
- 3/5
The reservation clerk was super nice and great with customer service. We were on second floor and no elevator. Great if you are young. If not, not so much. The hot tub is behind some iron bars, but I did not try it out. It was not clear how to turn it on. The bathtub did not have a way to keep the water in the tub, there was no drain cover or anything. And the plastic temperature dial was broken, but usable. I had to have my husband assist in figuring out how to make it work. And used hand towel as a drain plug.
- 4/5
It was overall a good stay! My only issue was that upon arrival the room smelled very strong of humidity, which made me a bit nauseous, but I guess that makes since given the area. Staff was nice and the hot tub was nice and clean :) would stay here again!
- 5/5
The staff were very friendly, helpful and informative. The Inn itself is very close to all the sites including the Sponge Docks.
- 5/5
So nice, friendly, had a wonderful time
- 4/5
Found a small the roach inside the refrigerator. Pls make you clean refrigerator always.
- 4/5
The staff was excellent. Enjoyed my stay.and wood stay there again. Room was dated but other couples in our group had updated rooms. So my guess is they are in the process of remodeling.
- 5/5
Front desk employee was easy to talk to despite it being late at night with easy directions to room. Though the room had a strong smell, at least the ac worked decently with how hot the room was when we first walked in. Good place for a single night stay.
- 4/5
Everything was good. The only problem I had was the bed was too firm for me & my back. Host was very nice & informative. Our room was clean. Close to the Sponge Docks!!
- 3/5
This hotel does not wash the bedding when customers check out.As I saw the couple putting their belongings in the car getting ready to leave. I thought it was odd when I saw the housekeeper in the room they had next door. She was just making the bed and not putting new bedding on. however, people where nice.
- 3/5
The staff was very nice however the facility was pretty dirty. We checked in super late (1am) which I was grateful someone was there to check us in. When we got to our room its was so hot. They turned off the ac completely in the room and it took hours to cool down which made for a terrible first nights sleep. There was only one pillow per person and it was so late we decided to wait till the next day to ask for more. The carpets felt so gross and we ended up wearing our shoes anytime we walked around because our socks ended up being black after walking on them. When we went to get more pillows again the staff was so nice they gave us two extra pillows, one of them had multiple blood stains on it. The property is outdated which didn’t bother us however it was just dirty and I can say we did not sleep well during our stay.
- 5/5
I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect. The pictures online looked good; however, it was on a major highway.I wanted something reasonably priced near Tarpon Springs. What I found was a clean, inviting space, friendly staff and convenient to the location my out of town family wanted to see. Both my family and I all enjoyed our stay. We will be back.
- 1/5
The room smells dirt and hair dryer did not work,
- 3/5
It’s a motel you can use to spend a day in case you need it.
- 3/5
The room was very hot. The air conditioner took forever to cool it down.
- 4/5
It's a little dated but quiet and comfortable.
- 5/5
I adored this hotel. Very clean. Vintage everything because it hasn’t changed since 1985. But it works so well! The staff is fun. Pool is well kept. We will return.
- 4/5
Near a lot of thing
- 4/5
Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Furnishings are a little outdated, but well cared for. Only minor issues I saw was a little rust on the tub, and a few hairline cracks in some floor tiles. Definitely would stay there again!
- 3/5
Hotel was clean, but dated with minimal amenities - like no towel rack. WIFI was very good. No carpeting was good feature. Located on Hwy 19, so traffic noise was significant. Close to Sponge Docks & grocery stores. Less expensive. Outside pool was not used as storms were passing through. Whirlpool and laundry also available, but we didn’t use them. Ice machine was used and with FL heat, this is a mandatory feature. Staff were friendly and helpful.
- 4/5
The motel staff was friendly, and the motel was pretty good. The shower water pressure was really high and could be adjusted. The floors weren't the cleanest but it's not too hard to just wear shoes. I'd stay here again for sure.
- 3/5
Very nice
- 4/5
Rooms were clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
We were very satisfied with our stay at this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable We would definitely stay here again when we are in the area.
- 5/5
They were friendly
- 5/5
Staff were great my Mom has Alzheimer's my Brother is a deaf Down syndrome- Ground water pipe broke in my Mothers house Your staff were great
- 4/5
Good for a small weekend trip.
- 4/5
Rooms were clean, pool was pristine, location was easily accessible and walkable to Chili's restaurant which was a plus. Only drawback was the A/C unit was a bit on the noisy side.
- 5/5
Nice
- 5/5
Stayed here a couple times. A little dated but it works.
- 5/5
Cute little old-Florida motel that has been meticulously maintained in its now retro styling. The rooms were very clean. The beds were comfortable. The staff at the front desk and the cleaning staff were extremely hospitable, and the pool was a very nice touch.
- 2/5
Dated and in poor shape. Paint peeling off wall in bathroom. Shower fixtures did work well and pulled out of wall. Electrical outlets also were loose. Hot tub and pool looked questionable.
- 5/5
Very nice for the price. Pretty basic but nice quite and clean. Good for the night!
- 1/5
At check in I asked to make sure the room was no smoking, I was assured it was, upon opening the door to the room, I all most gagged, the smoke smell was so powerful that my eyes started to water immediately. I went to the front desk and requested my credit card be credited. Totally unacceptable!
- 5/5
I stayed for 8 days. Absolutely loved it. Conveniently located and very comfortable. Room was clean and had everything I needed. I will definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Great staff
- 4/5
You get what you paid for. Lots of up keep needed. Cleaning lady(Anna) was absolutely a treasure. She went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. Thank you so much Anna.
- 5/5
Well maintained older hotel. Comfy bed. Nice people.
- 3/5
Musty smell in room . Bath faucet drips. Room was clean (saw one little bug) overall it served its purpose for the time I was there
- 1/5
The property is very outdated. The room was unsatisfactory for the price that we paid per night. The floors were dirty and the tile had not been mopped or swept. There was hair and stuff on the bathroom floor. The bathroom tub was. Rusty and had loose fixtures. There was ceiling texture peeling in the bedroom. The refrigerator and coffee machine were very dirty and corroded. The snack machine machines outside were empty and the vending machine for the sodas and water was rusty from being outside. There was no breakfast items at all. That was probably my fault for not looking. No coffee in the lobby. The swimming pool looked clean anyways I guess that is a good point. The bathroom towel situation was lacking. No soaps or shampoos provided. Overall the experience is one of the worst that we have had at staying in motels. There was a light bulb missing in the living room lamp. One of the lightbulbs over the vanity was blinking because it was going bad. The bathroom fan inside the toilet area did not work. The TV was a small TV. Again, if I was paying 50 or 60 bucks a night, I could understand the situation. But we were paying well over that and did not get close to our moneys worth.
- 2/5
Needs a major upgrade
- 2/5
The room smelled musty. The carpet was gross. The bed only had two very thin pillows. The pool was freezing. They were tearing up the parking lot so we were blocked in the first morning. The second night we had to park in a spot the farthest away from our room. This was very difficult for my husband to reload the car before our checkout. There is no elevator making it unsafe for my mobility issues.
- 3/5
The price was double what this motel is worth because of a local PGA golf tournament. I was happy to have a room because there wasn’t much available . It was ok for my short stay.
- 2/5
Room smelled like mold and musty.
- 1/5
Don't recommend
- 5/5
And the construction wasn’t that serious it was just they were paving the roads to make it more better for the customers if that’s the only negative then that’s great..
- 1/5
Old, not clean. Terrible odor in room.
- 5/5
Nice hotel with friendly staff and relatively close to the sponge harbor area. I would stay there again.
- 4/5
Had fun
- 5/5
It was a good clean, affordable hotel - manager was very friendly
- 4/5
Good value for sure, rooms are tired, need some decorating loving. Kitchenette is great, decently equipped. Pool is ideal.
- 5/5
Liked that it was centrally located to most attractions. Didn't like that the vending machines were out of order.
- 2/5
The ceilings were in terrible shape with water damage and plaster patches that look like a monkey did them. The hot tub foamed up like it was filled with detergent when putting on the jets and a suspicious odor arose. The room shower control was of a type I had never seen and my wife found it impossible to turn off. It is non-intuitive to operate with what seems to be a single clear plastic controller is actually two dials, one for water flow and the other for temperature. The beds were sagging, in fact the whole place had the feel of a sagging old motel.
- 5/5
Awesome hotel. Great hot tub. Close to everything and truly awesome staff
- 3/5
People smoking just outside their doors and your AV unit bringing it into the room. The bed was lumpy and NOT comfortable at all. The shower curtan rod bent under the weitght of the curtan hanging on it. The towels were worn thin....
- 5/5
Nice and friendly
- 4/5
While it's an older property, it's well maintained and very clean. The kitchenette, with a medium sized refrigerator and stove was a nice surprise for a longer stay. The television system was not adequate in todays' market. It's right on the busy highway, so the road noise was high, if you're on that side of the building. The price was pretty high, but it's spring break and they've bulldozed most of the affordable options that used to be in the area.
- 4/5
Cleanness excellent… the only problem there was a lil smell from the carpet but other than that everything was fine.. worth the money
- 5/5
May need a little updating Would stay there again
- 5/5
Nice place
- 4/5
Very clean, nice staff.
- 2/5
Fun office guy was alright, I don’t think he could care one way or another.
- 3/5
I liked the location, where it was close to Tarpon Springs to enjoy walking through the town and an authentic Greek dining experience. I didn’t like that you could hear road traffic from my room located in front of the hotel.
- 3/5
It is a mom and pop operation and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. A shout out to Theresa for her kindness. There was a fence around the property and a person at the front desk. It was also well lit. However, the room was outdated and had mold on the lamp shades, on the ceiling, and in the bathroom. The tub had rust on it and the mat was dirty. The property is located on the main street and the street noise was loud and lasted well into the night. The price should have been half of what I paid. I would not recommend this motel.
- 5/5
Thank you to Marco and his staff for helping me with my U-Haul, they are so kind and helpful
- 4/5
Pleasantly surprised when entering my room- very well kept ! A bit dated but very roomy & comfortable .
- 3/5
Ceiling in room was badly cracked. Looked like one area was ready to fall down. When first opened room door was met with strong musty order.
- 5/5
Loved the great room service and friendliness of all staff. Entire area was in nice clean shape. Our room attendant Theresa did great job on keeping room clean
- 5/5
Retro vintage property at an excellent value . Nice pool, hot tub jacuzzi and saunas.
- 5/5
The staff when we checked in and out were very helpful and courteous. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. We have stayed there before and will definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Nice and clean
- 5/5
Cute classic Florida motel that has been well maintained. The kitchenette made the stay much more convenient. Room was very clean. Staff was friendly and attentive. Location is convenient to all the best activities. 20 minute walk or short Uber to historic downtown. Short uber to sponge docks.
- 1/5
Horrible Customer service don't go here. Trying to get my problem resolved but the person I spoke to was very rude. I understood the situation but still didn't need to be talk down that way. I don't recommend anyone to come to this place.
- 5/5
Quiet
- 2/5
The one bright side was the laundry room. It was only $4 to wash and dry a load of clothes.
- 5/5
Staff is wonderful and remembers my preferences; highly recommend
- 3/5
This old hotel was showing its age however our room was very clean.

This place was absolutely discusting. Stunk like hell and hasnt had any upgrades for 40 years.

Place was ok. The dude at the front desk was accommodating, as i had an issue with my credit card. The room smelled badly like mold, but was clean orherwise. I probably wouldnt stay here again.

Front desk staff very nice. This is a very old motel.. My non smoking room smelled of stale cigarettes. I will not stay here again.

Front desk, excellent, maid service excellent. Too much noise at night. Rooms need a lot of work.

Definitely a lower end property but the room was clean , the beds were comfortable and the front desk staff gave good suggestions of things to see in the area.

very kind and friendly staff, very clean facility, and close to everything I needed...will stay there again if available when I need to

Toilet wouldn't flush all the way, only had the most basic channels on tv ( in other words, the "oldies" channels and the shopping channels for the most part). They asked ME if I had used the plunger on the toilet.

Es una asquerosidad llenas de cucarachas por las paredes y el piso

Was old, heater didn't work, bathroom door was falling apart, bes was saggy and uncomfortable, large gap underneath door which let in mire cold air. While place needs renovation and updated.

The price and location of Tarpon Shores Inn was spot on for my needs. I booked three days stay and stayed one night. Checked out the second day too late for a full refund but they did refund the third day graciously and with no resistance. The staff was courteous and friendly. This is a dated motel that has been updated with flooring and bathroom fixtures, paint and cosmetic items. The bed was like sleeping in a hammock, no back support at all. The heat did not keep up with the low temperatures that were in the area during my stay at 40 degrees overnight. Those two items added up to a miserable night. I don't like giving any bad reviews, just stating the facts.
