Reviews
The hotel received mixed reviews with guests appreciating the clean and spacious rooms, friendly staff, and good breakfast options. However, there were several complaints about the air conditioning, extra charges, slow elevators, and poor parking facilities.
- Clean and spacious rooms
- Friendly staff
- Air conditioning issues
- Extra charges for parking and pets
- 5/5
Excellent staff. Property was very clean. Hotel is close to many restaurants and store options. Had a great stay and will definitely stay again.
- 3/5
I didn't like that they have to charge you for parking which is totally ridiculous because there were so many empty spaces
- 5/5
The only thing that didn’t like is that the pool close early
- 5/5
Exceptional
- 5/5
Great!
- 4/5
The room was very clean, but the AC vent in the living room was small and didn't cool the room very well. There was only one AC/heat thermostat and it was in bedroom which stayed very cool. There needed to be more staff for the amount of guest, but everybody was very helpful, kind, and worked hard. Needed better coffee in the room.
- 4.5/5
good location nothing
- 4/5
Very good
- 4/5
Breakfast was good. Noice from kids running up an down in front of the rooms. Was annoying. Overall stay was good.
- 5/5
Breakfast was very good because of the made fresh omelette station, good selection of other hot items, fruits and other things. All in all it was a pleasant stay.
- 5/5
Convenient location, just off the freeway. Breakfast and managers special were great.
- 3/5
The room wasn’t clean to my standards. I always take a cleaning, wipe and clean all surfaces and unfortunately, this time the room was very dirty. Light switches handles remotes tables. If you stay here, it is wonderful. The breakfast buffet is amazing. The staff is wonderful, but make sure you wipe down all surfaces with a sanitary wipe.
- 5/5
Spacious room, delicious variety of food for breakfast.
- 5/5
The carpet in the bedrooms are outdated. Excellent staff from the front desk to housekeeping. Good breakfast! Overall, its a great experience. Will stay here again.
- 4/5
Very good
- 4/5
The rooms could use some cosmetic maintenance, but the overall value was good.
- 4/5
Hotel was great with an amazing breakfast. Room was specious but didn't have any dishes at all for the kitchenette. Fortunately we didn't really need any, but didn't really make sense. Also, didn't understand why we had to pay for parking. Otherwise everything was wonderful.
- 5/5
We have stayed at this Embassy Suites before and were pleased with our accommodations, food, etc. Our experience on this visit was positive as well. From front desk to servers, staff is very attentive, professional and polite.
- 4/5
I would stay there again.
- 5/5
Hands down one of the best places to stay comfy beds great breakfast and just an awesome vibe
- 5/5
I really enjoyed my stay here. Clean rooms, the breakfast was great and the appetizers they offered from 5-7 was awesome. I liked all my experience. My time went by to fast. I love everything about this place
- 5/5
Very nice w amazing continental breakfast
- 5/5
We have never stayed at an Embassy Suites before, but when making the reservation my brother recommended you highly. It was a good choice and we enjoyed the convenience of being near a family gathering and then close to the freeway to get on our way back home. The breakfast was especially impressive. We didn't get a made to order omelet because there were so many other good choices for our 1 breakfast there. Bed was comfortable. Only problem was the fitted sheet on our king-size bed was too small, most likely a queen sheet, so it popped off the corner as soon as I sat down on the bed. It was too late to ask for a larger sheet and It didn't really become a problem during the night. We mentioned it to reception upon check out.
- 3/5
Fire alarm went off on the last night, took about 45 minutes before guests were allowed back into the hotel. Guest in the back area weren’t notified that it was cleared.
- 3/5
Very dated property. Great breakfast. Housekeeping could be improved.
- 5/5
Loved the room with the big windows and the bigger view. Nice breakfast buffet. Friendly staff and very handy location to the hospital where my brother is dying. Why was I charged $68 for parking?
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
This location is a family favorite for vacations and business trips in the area.
- 3/5
Fire alarm at 12:30 am Evacuated building false alarm no sleep after that
- 2/5
It was our 2nd time staying at Embassy Suites. The staff are helpful and check in frequently via text. The breakfast is amazing especially since it’s complimentary with a decent selection. What we noticed is the building and room are old. We had a problem with our bathroom sink where we couldn’t pull up the stopper piece. Front desk immediately sent someone. Later that same night, we noticed flooding on the bathroom floor. I guess we got unlucky with a bad room but again, a repair person immediately fixed the leak after we reported it. But it was such an inconvenience. And then we experienced a false alarm around 12:35am that required evacuation into the cold. That wasn’t the hotel’s fault but after all the inconveniences in one day, it was just too much. Hence, we give it a 2-star but the staff do work hard.
- 5/5
Close to the mall My only complaint was no flavored coffee creamer
- 1/5
All bad experience for the price I pay, Only good thing for me was the coffee,
- 3/5
One thing that made our stay quite unpleasant was the room. It was dirty when we checked in. I always bring bleach wipes, so I wiped everything down except for the mirrors which had what looked like food smears on them but I did not have windex. The carpets were disgusting and need to be shampooed or replaced. The other reason I was disappointed is part of why I booked this hotel is the pool. There was not a single time in our 2 night stay to even get in the pool it was packed with screaming kids. My recommendation is to have an adult swim hour. Just one hour to accommodate everyone. The nightly reception is an awesome offering and honestly this is just a suggestion, but maybe have a keg of Humm kombucha on tap for us non alcohol health conscious drinkers.
- 5/5
The room was big and clean and the pillows were comfortable and the toiletries smelled good! The breakfast was yummy (Omelette bar). The pool was way too small for the size of the hotel. Silly to pay for parking...
- 5/5
Great size rooms and very clean
- 3/5
Old hotel, rooms need to be updated.
- 5/5
Always a great experience. Great rooms. Good value.
- 5/5
The most family friendly hotel. The staff was very nice and accommodating.
- 5/5
There was daily maid service with fresh towels and made up beds. My biggest complaint was poor lighting. A makeup mirror would have been greatly appreciated.
- 4/5
My only complaint is that the pull out mattress is very uncomfortable, even for the kids. Would be nice to upgrade those with memory foam mattress or something with fewer coils and springs.
- 5/5
My stay at Embassy was amazing. The room was very clean and staff was very nice. Love that they’re pet friendly as well!
- 4/5
Very good
- 4/5
The only thing I had a issue the air in my room was not working everything else was great
- 1/5
With no AC that can cool the room down there is no air. Windows don’t open obviously in the 8th floor. Worst stay at an embassy suites ever. They my safe spot always top notch. This was exact opposite. From quality of everything there you can tell this place needs upgrades. Starting with AC unit. Room never got below 74 it was miserable. Beds had massive lumping divots. Hard to say one good thing. They tried to help me with my concerns but I was mostly brushed off and passed off to the “engineers” who gave us box fans thankfully. Do not recommend.
- 1/5
The AC didn’t work. They checked it a couple times. Ended up with box fans. 2 nights if no air flow was the worst! Opened the door to try to get air flow don’t help much. The beds are definitely needing a replacement too. I usually love embassy suites they top notch. Tigard location no bueno unfortunately. Went out to the car so many times just to get fresh air. Nights were tortuous. Do not recommend.
- 5/5
Traveling with husband overnight stay. The bed was very comfortable. The room was clean. Breakfast was very good!
- 5/5

Location Room was a Suite Good Bed Great Omlette Pay for parking
- 5/5
The front desk staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was clean and accommodating. The a/c was only in the sleeping area, so the living area was warm with the door shut. If you take the stairs(no sign to tell you otherwise) to get outside the security may accost you for doing so. Also the pool closes at 9pm, which seems odd due to the fact there are no rooms near it and a lot of pools go later than that. The breakfast was good and the omelets were restaurant quality.
- 4/5
I wish the rooms didn’t have old carpet. I love the happy hour and yummy breakfast!! I wish the pool had longer hours. We were pleasantly surprised to find the pool was finally heated this time!!! Big bonus!
- 5/5
excellent

Always great at this hotel!!

Excellent breakfast and nightly manager’s reception
- 5/5
Been staying here for years. Constantly upgrading their property, great location, great staff and amenities. I do not like that you have to pay for parking for this particular location. It just doesn’t make sense. Besides that we love the place.
- 5/5
The breakfast was very nice. The staff was friendly and there was an omelet station.
- 5/5
A wonderfully spacious suite and early breakfast. Much more affordable than downtown Portland. Very helpful staff. Easily made up for the surprise $17 parking fee.
- 5/5
Staff were very friendly and always available. Check in/check out was easy. Just get back early to secure a good parking.
- 5/5
Staff were pleasant, room was clean. I would suggest shower mat.
- 5/5
Nice room and pool/ hot tub. My family had a great stay. The convenience of the location was perfect we enjoyed the mall.
- 5/5
Very comfy
- 2.5/5
Excellant breakfast Not knowing there was an 17$ charge for parking . No where when I booked or checked in was I notified of this charge . Have been Hilton Honer's members for years and think its time to go somewhere else. Staff could of been more friendly or some what.

Premium Room was the nicest I have seen, but overall best are the happy hours in the evening at the lobby, cannot explain how refreshing those fruits and veggies where after a big day of work
- 5/5
Great breakfast
- 2/5
The room had lots of crumbs everywhere. The bathroom wasn’t fully cleaned. We found lots of left over items behind the tv stand. The swimming pool looked green and had towels all over the floor. Not the greatest experience for the price.

The room was clean, the staff were friendly, and the breakfast was delicious!

Easy access to all amenities. Great room size. Lounge should stay open longer.
- 5/5
Best breakfast I've had from any hotel.
- 5/5
Great placement by the mall and target and Dutch bros. Super easy in and out great breakfast and happy hour. Love this hotel.
- 4/5
The rooms were very spacious with a living room and bedroom separated by a door. Morning breakfast was plentiful.
- 5/5
Breakfast was wonderful staff super friendly over all it was worth the price
- 4/5
Dana in the restaurant was awesome. Good breakfast. No Diet Coke in the store. Very nice and clean room.
- 3/5
Could not use the pool on the night we arrived because of about 40 unruly teenagers who had taken it over. If there were parents or coaches there they were not doing anything to supervise these kids. I did complain to the supervisor and they provides us a discount on our stay, which was greatly appreciated. Hope they address this in the future.
- 5/5
Great staff, always a great stay
- 5/5
GREAT HOTEL GREAT PRICE.
- 4/5
Property was nice. Easy parking. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was ok
- 4/5
Everything was great except the bedsheets didn't fit the mattress and we lost them in the middle of the night.
- 2/5
Terrible experience. Lodged there many time for convenience.- getting worse experience each time.
- 5/5
We are pretty loyal to another hotel chain but have this a go for a little daily trip to Portland without having to stay directly in Portland. Absolutely new fans and will be back! The structure is thoughtful and beautiful, with big windows, a large center atrium, and just so seriously clean. Everything in the room is thought of and perfect for a short or, even better yet, long stay. Breakfast is a full much above any other place and included. The cherry on top was the social hour with two free cocktails per person and snacks. What an awesome treat and a good way to meet people. The location is amazing, close to major thoroughfares without feeling like you are sitting next to the freeway. Tons of shopping and food within walking distance, a really cool food truck park just a short drive and Portland is an easy drive to spend the day. Really enjoyed Embassy Suites and now looking at locations in other cities, hoping they are just as fantastic.
- 5/5
The hotel was clean and neat. It was a fun place to stay.
- 5/5
Great!
- 5/5
Parking felt safe and the room was spacious.
- 5/5
The breakfast was amazing. The mall and Cheesecake Factory was within walking distance.
- 5/5
The entire experience was nothing less than exceptional!
- 5/5
Yes, everything was great!
- 5/5
Breakfast was warm not hot but abundant, enjoyed the stay!
- 5/5
Breakfast was amazing. Custom omelets and huge buffet. The kids loved the glass elevator and the pool. Complementary drinks at happy hour. Whenever we are staying in the area we will come back here every time.
- 5/5
Location very convenient
- 5/5
Love love love it
- 4/5
Breakfast, staff, and managers reception were great. We were bummed the pool was out of order the night we stayed.
- 5/5
Great breakfast. Conveniently located to shop at Washington Square mall
- 5/5
Great place to stay. Very friendly staff.
- 5/5
This was our 2nd time to staying and we greatly enjoyed. Totally worth it
- 3/5
Toenail clipping on floor in room, blow dryer bag had white stuff all over, creamer curdled, old French fry outside of room and random glass on ground from check in to check out, slimy broccoli at reception hour, shower handle broken and hard to use. The bed was comfortable and staff at check in were friendly. Breakfast was great. I shared my concerns with staff at check out and said I’d rather share with you then post online and she said I could post online if I wanted. Thought I’d get an apology or maybe compensation for parking or something.
- 4/5
Great Breakfast, Great Location.
- 5/5
My favorite place to stay when I visit the Portland area. Always an excellent choice.
- 5/5
The evening reception was very nice. And so was the made-to-order omelet for breakfast. A very nice buffet. Our room was very comfortable.
- 3/5
Yes
- 5/5
The breakfasts are always excellent, the staff so kind and helpful every single time and my kids love their pool.
- 5/5
The Staff was very friendly and helpful! Washington Mall within a short walking distance. Would definitely stay there again!
- 2/5
The hotel was really neat in ways. The elevator was cool, the pool was impossible to use because it’s small. They don’t offer an adult swim only and I wasn’t able to swim once. The breakfast was nothing special same as a best western in my opinion. The happy hour drinks were good! Rooms weren’t clean all of our stay because they were short staffed so the room didn’t get serviced 2 nights, the one night is was serviced they did absolute bare minimum due to staffing also. And honestly the room was really gross I probably won’t be back.
- 4/5
Convenient to a great mall.
- 2/5
For being a Hilton hotel this hotel was not on Par with other Hilton hotels we have stayed at. We were on the 9th floor and the rail to look down into the common area seemed insufficient for such a long drop and not that safe for families with young kids. The ceilings in the room felt substantial low and had old school popcorn along with some stains/cobwebs. The doors in our room were very thin and the bathroom door had water damage, the headboard on both of the beds was marred up. The shower nozzle was low and I had to duck to get my head under it. On a good note the breakfast was excellent and served custom made omelettes.
- 5/5
Perfect for families! Pool, free breakfast, walking distance to Washington square. We travel often and always choose embassy suites!
- 3/5
Clean room, friendly staff. However, I was charged extra for parking, the pool hours weren't long enough for us to enjoy the pool. The "sofa bed" was so uncomfortable we couldn't use it. There weren't enough blankets either. The breakfast was lackluster, but the omelette bar was pretty good.
- 1/5
The Embassy suites I went to said my name was not on their list. They could not check other Embassy Suites while I was there. I consider this quite shabby. I hope they will not penalize me for not taking up the residence
- 5/5
The stay was awesome staff was amazing and friendly, the breakfast options were too notch having a fresh omelet made in front of you was a cool experience! And the beds were fairly comfortable, the pull out bed in the couch was uncomfortable enough my kids just slept on the couch. But overall an amazing experience would definitely go back and recommend this hotel!
- 5/5
Great location, good breakfast.
- 4/5
I love the Embassy Suites but the breakast could have been better. It's been better at other ES I have stayed at.
- 3/5
The facility was clean, breakfast was fine, not much options for vegetarians. I was hoping pancakes waffles for kids but it wasn’t there. Room was very far away from the elevator, signs weren’t clear as to where the laundry is. But the stay was overall fine.
- 4/5
clean room overall, HVAC created a bit of duat ans stuffy conditions in the room
- 4/5
We had a nice stay. We have stayed here many times in the past. The only thing that is disappointing is that there is no longer a cocktail hour in the evening.
- 3/5
Things here have slipped over the last couple of years. Multiple cosmetic/maintenance issues in our room including rips in both bedskirts, one of them massive. The quality of the buffet breakfast and happy hour seems to have slipped as well, and no longer seems like the perk it once did. The staff is always gracious and helpful, but I don't think they have enough to keep up with the size of the place.
- 5/5
Nice place would stay again
- 4/5
Breakfast is boring, should have more variety
- 4/5
I didn’t like the parking fee, I should’ve been informed
- 1/5
Awful room
- 1/5
No blankets We asked / they were out (it’s a hotel) We were told we would have two beds. We had one and probably the most uncomfortable pullout sofa, the history of earth. So in one room, we had four people and two dogs with one bed. And did I mention the most uncomfortable pullout sofa, probably in the history of man Online it was very evident that there were other rooms available, but on property, they were not able to offer any

We visited Portland and We decided to stay here after searching for a while; my family and I loved it. It's a great hotel with an amazing breakfast, and all the staff are wonderful and respectful. I will definitely stay here again and again whenever we visit Portland. A.R.
- 5/5
An amazing place to stay! Definitely coming back soon!
- 5/5
Rooms smell musty 😬
- 2/5
Dirty rooms
- 5/5
Excellent staff at front desk.
- 5/5
Overall very pleased with the hotel. The room was clean and staff was helpful. Breakfast was good and they had a manager's reception in the evening with free drinks and snacks. The kids used and enjoyed the pool and hot tub, which seemed clean and well maintained. We ate at the restaurant one evening and ordered the pizza, and to be honest, it was pretty mediocre pizza, but I was happy not to have to drive somewhere else, do it was fine. We would definitely stay there again.
- 1/5
The room smelt of mildew and smoke. Made it awful to sleep and hang out in the room. Every room was booked so we couldn’t even transfer. Although are friends staying next to us had the Same issue of a strong wet mildew smell. Will definitely not be back, way too overpriced for the conditions.
- 5/5
Always a great stay at most Embassy Suites. Clean and spacious rooms, amazing free breakfast, free drinks and snacks at happy hour, kind staff, a well stocked store with a variety of items. Will always stay again.
- 5/5
Very clean, best place I’ve stayed in a long yime
- 5/5
Yes, the room was clean and the staff was great

My #goto accommodation in SW PDX
- 5/5
Spacious room that easily accommodates our family of five. Love that there is a separate bedroom and seating area.
- 5/5
Yes! All 5 Stars
- 2/5
Staff ok. They were massively overwhelmed by children staying for a basketball tournament. Place was loud, rooms were ok, but the climate control is stuck at 65 degrees and stuffy, which is pretty bad, for spending $300+ a night. We asked about lowering temp in room, we were given a dusty box fan.
- 5/5
This hotel still understands the value of guest appreciation. Great FREE continental breakfast. Awesome FREE happy hour. Their customer service was incredibly accommodating. In a world where guests get charged for everything anymore, this hotel stays true to taking care of their guests

First, the toilets in both of our rooms did not flush properly, which was frustrating and inconvenient, especially while traveling with family. Having the same plumbing issue in two rooms is not acceptable. Additionally, the water in the showers was not hot at all, which made showering uncomfortable and disappointing. Most concerning, my 14-year-old son was given a room key by the front desk without my authorization or presence. I was not notified, and this raised serious safety concerns. Room access should be handled securely at all times, and minors should never be given keys without explicit parental approval. Because of these issues, the stay did not meet expectations. I hope management takes the maintenance and safety concerns seriously for future guests.
- 4/5
Room was pretty clean. Some stuff left in the shower from previous person. Front desk wasn’t willing to give bottled water.
- 5/5
Great

Room had many issues including mold In the shower and and the carpet was filthy the sheets had holes in them . I have never had a problem till recently and I stay at that location once a week
- 5/5
The breakfast options were the best I’d ever seen. They also had snack times where you could sit in the courtyard and get freebie snack and drinks. Great location, definitely will be back
- 5/5
Lovely place to stay. Will stay here again!
- 5/5
The omlet station shading but the French toast was cold.
- 5/5
Wonderful clean room, great breakfast, pool and hot tub were wonderful!
- 4/5
the in-room coffee maker was inoperable and there was not enough hot water at 7pm or at 6am. Come on man, that is a must.
- 5/5
Great hotel
- 4/5
Courteous staff. Good breakfast.
- 4/5
Good breakfast
- 5/5
Breakfast was great, rooms are spacious and clean. The pool should be open later. Maybe 11. Felt like closing at 9 is too early.
- 4/5
Cozy room, great happy hour and breakfast!
- 1/5
Very disappointed, put in wrong room because they were sold out the first day we got there, kids running pound down halls all night despite meeting front desk and security know. Rude wait staff at buffet, dirty rooms, tub had hair on the wall. Very gross!
- 5/5
Everything was great!
- 5/5
Comfortable beds, blackout curtains and quiet room. Great front desk staff and easy check in process.
- 5/5
The room was spotless and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
- 1/5
Our room smelled moldy and damp. The windows were leaking and had condensation dripping from the walls. The sink and faucet were broken as well as the ironing board and iron. The floors were stained and the bed frames creed to sleep on. Very outdated for the price we paid would not recommend.
- 5/5
Staff was great- love the reception.
- 5/5
Received outstanding customer service
- 3/5
Room is outdated, check-in staff was friendly, checkout staff was rude and unwilling to help with a charge that we did not accrue. 30$ to self park is a little steep. Probably will not stay again.
- 4/5
Room was clean. Staff was very friendly.

Great Christmas weekend with family! Close to shopping and food! Great weekend..
- 3/5
The rooms were a little dated. There was unfortunately a distinct odor in the room from where someone had fried the microwave. The breakfast is good and great convenient location with ample space but just dated.
- 4/5

- 5/5
Really good hotel with vibe. Very good breakfast, they offer free drinks in happy hour. Close proximity to the mall. High recommend it.
- 5/5
Yes, free upgrade and happy hoir
- 4/5
The free breakfast and happy hour are amazing!! All the staff were pleasant and helpful. The rooms are great with the separate living and sleeping areas. The only downside was that our neighbors had a couple dogs and they were barking all the time. I wish the hotel would put the dogs in devoted area away from folks not traveling with pets. But, overall great and would stay again.
- 4/5
He never came back and cleaned the room! I paid the same rate every night, I expect my room to be cleaned and bed made. 😟
- 5/5
Breakfast was very limited and the food wasn’t fresh
- 5/5
Feels like a mini-vacation each time :)
- 5/5

There was bed bugs in my room. After talking to management. They tried to downplay that there was bugs in my room. They sent a maintenance guy to my room with a can of hotshot spray to try and defuse the problem. Horrible horrible management. The head hotel manager didn’t try to listen to me at all. She is a horrible manager. I imagine the whole hotel is probably infested with bed bugs. I have owned rentals throughout Oregon for over 25years. I know what it feels like to have bugs. And you can’t eliminate them with a can of hotshot spray: you need to have a professional bug company come in and heat the room. The beds, couches and carpets have to all be thrown away. I would not recommend embassy suites in Tigard Oregon at all. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL.

hidden $17/day parking charge. Will make me reconsider where I stay on frequent trips to Tigard.

No complaints. Would stay again.

Suit was specious and clean, bed was comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful, they helped us with walking directions to Apple Store. For breakfast there was plenty options. Overall it was pleasant get away weekend.

Overall stay was wonderful. Everything was perfect and convenient. Thank you Embassy Suites, Portland Tigard.
- 5/5
The staff made sure we were comfortable.
- 5/5
A little confusing where my room was, I had a hard time understanding the direction, her English was hard to understand but she was very nice
- 5/5
Next to Washington Square Mall
- 5/5
Very nice property great amenities and staff
- 3/5
Breakfast is really good, so almost makes up for room. Staff at the front and breakfast area were very nice and helpful. Pool and hot tub were clean acne good temps.
- 5/5
We loved the quiet room, manager’s reception, pool and breakfast. Great place to stay!
- 5/5
Nice staff. Good food.
- 3/5
For the price we paid, I expected much better. It felt far from the standard that Hilton usually offers, and overall, I don't think it was worth the cost.
- 4/5
The pool and hot tube need a designated adult time. Preferable one period in the morning and one in the evening
- 5/5
We liked breakfast and happy hours !
- 4/5
This hotel has always been a favorite simply due to cheap rates for what you get.
- 5/5
Friendly service clean hotel close to shopping mall walked to the mall from the room
- 5/5
The staff was super helpful place had great space
- 4/5
The hotel is lovely. Our room was a little musty smelling but otherwise good. We were disappointed that the heat/air-conditioning were stuck at 73°. We like it a bit cooler for sleeping.
- 5/5
Except a lack of hot water bathing

- 5/5
Staff is pleasant, rom is large, and hotel is well maintained.
- 5/5
Everything was perfect. Comfortable beds. Quiet rooms, good breakfaat

Old, worn down hotel. Embassy Suites is a hotel of the past, this place needs a makeover. Gross carpet flooring that was frayed at the seems, mismatched tile and hardwood flooring. Will not stay at this hotel chain again.
- 5/5
Everytime we come to portland areas we love staying at the embassy suites hotel we enjoy their comfortable beds, great breakfast, excellent staff and its close to Washington square mall this is our go to hotel! Highly recommended!

Good for family
- 2/5
First off, we got to our room that we reserved online and it only had one bed (we paid for 2). Finally got us the correct room then charged us more money per night. Without any advanced notice they charged $17 per vehicle per night, we had 2 vehicles. Happy hour, the lady serving drinks was far from happy. She was disrespectful to my adult daughters and raised her voice at other patrons in line to have their order ready. You couldn’t see the framed menu from others in front if you so there’s no way of knowing what they were serving. On the second day, without notice, the room service man walked right into our room (mind you there’s 4 women inside) to see if we needed towels, bedding, etc. And to top it all off, the pool area closes at 9 pm. What hotel does this? 9 pm family are just getting settled in and maybe, just maybe the adults might want to utilize facilities they paid good money for.
- 5/5
This was a large place that was very busy wen we arrived on the weekend, but settled down come Monday. The parking lot was being repaved so we had to park across the way, but it wasn’t far to walk. Breakfast had lots of options, but the eggs were terrible. Every evening, they served free snacks and drinks which were good. The only complaint is the carpet smelled very musty! Might not be good for people with allergies.
- 4/5
Parking is difficult for having to pay for it. Love the breakfast great for families.
- 2/5
Everyone that worked there was helpful except the housekeeper who I tipped very well, but did deserve it. She didn’t vacuum, didn’t replenish my coffee, sugar, cups, and creamer. So I had to go down to the lobby to get some of the supplies. Then they didn’t have all of them. So they told me that housekeeping will go and give them to me in a couple minutes. I waited so long so I called back to see where they were. And I waited 20 minutes and called back again. I think they forgot about me so I told the girl and the girl came up and gave me cups toilet paper and sugar and more coffee. Other than that, my day was pretty good, but it really sort of pissed me off about her not cleaning my room because I stayed there a week with my cat.
- 5/5
Over all good stay.
- 4/5
The parking was not disclosed that there is a fee. Even with a payment, not enough spot to park so I had to park all the way in the back. That was a bit uncomfortable to wall after a long day. But over all it was a great place to stay.

Our bathroom shower and tub was not clean, soap scum and someone’s hair in tub and on the side. The couches are very worn down and could use an upgrade and some forgot to clean under the couch, other people’s garbage left behind. But all in all we will be back 😊
- 5/5
Everything was extremely well experienced
- 5/5
Beautiful place. Would have liked it if the parking was free tho
- 4/5
The staff is amazing but my room could use a good deep clean. Bed is comfortable.
- 4/5
The property is tired and ready for an update.
- 2/5
Parking is tight here, so why not randomly block off a bunch of parking spots for "busses" only, yet I never saw a single bus. But each day more parking spots were ribboned off for more busses. What the heck? Recently remodeled? Really? Is that why the sofa and bed were flat as pancakes? Speaking of beds, is it that hard to find sheets that fit the bed? Then again, I was tossing around a bunch at night thanks to the warm room.
- 5/5
Besides from a few stray hairs in the shower, the place was excellent. I was on the 7th floor and the view was great. The bed was comfortable!
- 4/5
Needs a update in the suites the pull out couch and couches are uncomfortable and have big indents
- 2/5
We had a problem with ants in the room on our first night and had to be moved to another room the next day
- 5/5
Nice staff. Great breakfast - made to order omelettes was a real treat.
- 4/5
Everything was perfect. Sadly the jets in the spa weren’t functioning at all. The temperature was ideal as always.
- 3/5
There were knocking, repetitive sounds throughout the early morning (2am-5am) that disturbed our first night's sleep. When we called front desk, we were just told that it was probably the AC and that there were no engineers. Needless to say, we were just uncomfortable throughout our stay. On checkout, we told concierge to at least give a warning of strange noises to whoever is staying on that wing of the hotel (we were at 844), so as not to freak them out. Our kids were really scared.
- 4/5
There have free happy hour including drinks. Great atmosphere!
- 3/5
Paying $17 a day for open lot parking is a bummer. I didn’t like it when it was $10 now I really don’t like it.
- 5/5
Wonderful very friendly atmosphere
- 4/5
A lot of stores around the area
- 2/5
The entrance was beautiful we stayed in 433 the carpet had a lot of spots the vents are terrible seem like it was not dusted for weeks.
- 4/5
Bug comfy rooms, great staff, good breakfast/evening reception. Perfect rooms for families.
- 5/5
Love it
- 5/5
Great service! Real value for money.
- 5/5
Great breakfast, facility well taken care of!
- 5/5
Awesome location and clean rooms
- 4/5
Liked the stay my only complaint is that there isn’t enough parking.
- 4/5
Great stay overall, and especially for the price! Biggest area for improvement: bathrooms need much stronger fans to exhaust humidity, and the shower rod was installed upside down so it kept falling open on both ends during showers. Otherwise, I can easily recommend this hotel.
- 3/5
AC in the room, not working very well. Was very hot throughout the night.
- 5/5
I would say, great customer service. I was not disappointed and felt welcomed. Important feeling especially in a world of self being and diversity. I was not dressed in anything formal by any means, but was greeted with respect which is a value I respect back to the Embassy. Thank you
- 5/5
Awfully crowded the first night because of a sports tournament in town but the hotel handled it well
- 5/5
The breakfast included was really good. Better than I have had recently. Great for families with kids on the go with sports.
- 5/5
It's Embassy Suites!
- 5/5
Love this place, this is our second time staying here and there will be much more times.
- 1/5
The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. There were ants crawling all over the place. Mold in the restroom shower and ceiling. The place just felt disgusting. Not worth the amount I paid for 2 nights with these conditions. Do yourself a favor and drive an extra 20-30 miles to find something better.
- 4/5
Parking was packed!!

I booked Embassy Suites Portland Tigard based on recommendations, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The carpet is old and dirty, and despite booking (and paying extra for) a double queen bed, we were given a double full bed instead. While the customer service was friendly and professional, the hotel itself is in urgent need of renovation—the carpets, furnishings, and overall cleanliness fall short of expectations. The musty odor in the room was so strong that it triggered my son’s asthma, and we had to use his inhaler. This stay was a major letdown. I would not recommend this property until significant updates are made
- 5/5
Overall a good experience
- 5/5
The staff was great! I was there alone with my toddler and they wen above and beyond to accommodate us!
- 2/5
Duct tape was used to attempt to hold up wallpaper in the bedroom. No service done to the room and paying $1000 for two nights I would think that at least my room would get clean towels and not duct tape holding up the wallpaper!
- 1/5
Total letdown! Was promised compensation for the fact that they had given away our spa suite but we were put in a downgraded room with a trash view! No compensation! Nothing! I asked for a fork and they wanted me to go round one up…really?!?
- 3/5
We were given a room on the top floor. It was hot because the AC was not working properly. I immediately asked if we could change rooms and was told they were fully booked. But when I thought to check later, there were still rooms available. Maintenance didn

These rooms are disgusting I don’t know how anyone is giving this place a good review, the room has a funky smell there’s stains on the headboards, some gross stain on the side of the bed, the AC sucks it barely works, the shower is nasty, I’ll never stay here again gross

People are very nice but I never had my room cleaned. They claimed I place my Do Not Disturb sign out on the door but it was never from under the TV unless there was a ghost. I was there for 3 nights. I made sure the sign was not out every day. Not sure what room they were looking at.
- 1/5
Service was terrible! One of the check in ladies was very rude! The toilet was dirty, the sink took almost 10 minutes to drain! Also, when taking a shower the tub filled way up with water and the drain was open! The air conditioner did not work properly and our room was very warm! The air conditioning maintenance person that came into our room said all the air conditioning motors needed a complete overhaul or replace all the air conditioning units! Plus torn and warn out bath towels! We will Never stay at this Embassy Suite in Tigard again! Harold and Zully Beesley 909 705 2941
- 4/5
Amazing customer service, but you have to pay 17$ a day to park. Rooms were decent.
- 2/5
I never got a clear explanation who’s fault it was that my reservation was cancelled, I ended up with a room but it was downgraded
- 2/5
Check-in was good - was told at check in the would get a crib up since I requested one during online booking. Crib never came. AC in room couldn’t keep room cooler than 75 and there was no way to increase airflow so baby was upset overnight and kept everyone from sleeping.
- 5/5
We have stayed here several times since our daughter moved here and it is always wonderful
- 1/5
It was horrible...children yelling while your in the hot tub because there is no reserved adult time...mold in the bathtub area...no cutlery in the room...came to take a bath and had to call the front desk to get a plug for the tub...not much as far as fruit goes besides honey dew and cantaloupe...asked for strawberries and pineapple and the answer is we are out. I have a service dog and they put me in the farthest room possible...and the carpet in the room was stained and horrible...etc.etc. im sure im forgetting some. So disappointed for a Hilton...was expecting more considering i was paying 200$ a night. Charge for parking and they use the excuse that its because they patrol the parking...nope...monitored for 3 or 4 hrs the 1st night there and nobody does...just a way of making more more. Hilton definitely didnt live up to the expectations.
- 4/5
Nice and clean.
- 5/5
Everything was great.
- 4/5
Rooms lack plugs, lamps that work. It’s just old and worn out
- 3/5
Bed was uncomfortable and the shower did not drain rm 729
- 4/5
Overall the hotel was great. They didn’t clean my room and I have to call for towels. The front desk staff was very helpful. The breakfast was great too.
- 3/5
Unfortunately it got such a low rating because even though the rooms were nice and spacious the bathroom had live black mold growing in the shower, nicotine stains on the ceiling of the bathroom and nicotine residue started dripping after showers and strong smell of stale nicotine, unfortunately I had my children with me and I didnt appreciate them being exposed to those substances (I am a smoker and I'm absolutely not ok with my kids being exposed like that to nicotine)
- 4/5
Only downside was the dim lighting in our suite and smell of mustiness. We purchased a spray from Target across the street and it didn’t go away.
- 5/5
Would definitely recommend it
- 5/5
There is a daily rate for parking. The hotel is located near lots of shopping and dining options. The staff and front desk persons are very kind and friendly. The pool was cold, the jacuzzi/spa pool was hot (nice). The pool area had a heavy chlorine smell and the floor was very wet with lots of hair strands all over. We still had a great time. Our room had small/minor damage like a cracked sink, scratched/slightly dented lighting, a wobbly dresser drawer, minor stains on the carpet, and doors that didnt close smoothly. Even with the minor things, our stay was lovely. They were very busy and still brought us extra towels and bath tissue when we asked. The Cascadia restaurant packed our dinner to go and it was tasty. We created a ton of trash from eating our meals in the room and they graciously took it away. The rooms were quiet even though we were by the elevators. We watched tv loudly, stomped around and it didnt seem to transmit (the rooms were advertised as being soundproofed). The water pressure was slightly throttled/aerated/limited but we stilll enjoyed hot showers. The place feels older, but still has its glory. The people make the place, not the other way around. We had a lovely stay, thank you!

Breakfast

Parts of my room were dirty. Vanity in the bedroom was dirty, found someones underwear in the bathroom, carpets needed vacuumed, broken mirror in bedroom, used plastic fork in the floor. The rest of the facility was wonderful. Great breakfast and friendly staff.
- 3/5
Old carpet and bathroom.
- 5/5
We love staying here! The amenities, the close location to shopping and dining, and the cleanliness of the hotel keep us coming back again and again.
- 2/5
Very disappointed with this property. The room I had book several days in advance was not the room I got. When I asked to switch to the room I wanted none were available so they gave me something “comparable” which it was not. They were “kind” enough to waive the parking fee but when I asked if they could at the very least give some compensation they said they would have to check. I reached out to orbitz and they tried to reach the front desk but they were not answering so Orbitz did their best to compensate me. I appreciate the help but it made it that much more frustrating that I didn’t get the room I wanted, I could’ve stayed in any other hotel in the area or in Portland but having the whirlpool suite was the whole reason to stay at this hotel. Instead I got a very basic room that is very out dated and the bathroom isn’t the most appealing place to be. I was sold on one bit and got the rug pulled out from me. The fact they even charge for parking is amazing. There is a restaurant and happy hour available, breakfast as well, but I was already miffed that I didn’t want to visit any of it and would rather spend my money on Dominos. I would’ve been really happy to have spent my money in the building but without the room I asked for, no way would I want to contribute. The front desk people upon arrival also didn’t seem engaged and when I asked about the room they didn’t seem concerned at all. They didn’t even bother to let me know at check in that my room wasn’t what I paid for
- 5/5
The breakfast was delicious . The room was clean but the bed was to soft.
- 3/5
Being charged $17 for parking on top of $310+ night for the room is ridiculous
- 5/5
Super friendly staff and great breakfast
- 3/5
The pool is nice and well maintained. My kids enjoyed playing there. There is a free drink time in the evening, which was nice! And the breakfast was first-rate. The front desk team is difficult to understand and not super helpful. But people were nice. We would likely not return but it was fine.
- 5/5
This was our 2nd stay here, and it was wonderful both times that we've stayed here. Only thing I would change is the charge for parking.
- 4/5
Always clean comfy place to stay. You do get the free happy hour but I was there on Sunday and the happy hour snacks disappointing. Used to be more upscale. But had a clean large suite , walking distance close to mall, restaurants etc . Stayed here many times. The cascade restaurant bar in hotel is great and service was excellent. Friendly staff!!
- 4/5
Hotel is great. We've been before. Our last trip was a bit chaotic with lots of noise and our visits to the pool were CRAZY with pre-teens and teens running around, jumping in the pool and all no supervision. CRAZY!
- 4/5
Weve stayedchere several times eachbyear for a night. This time thecroom was uncomfortably hot..a/c took overnight to decrease the temp by onlyb4 degrees. Ughh. Bathtub didn't drain well. Was standing in ankle deep water. Only half roll of toliet paper was available and hand soap, shampoo bottles were not filled, only 1/8 full.
