Reviews
The hotel has a convenient location and friendly staff, but guests have reported issues with cleanliness, parking fees, and noise. Some rooms are outdated and in need of renovation, and there have been problems with hot water and air conditioning.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful
- 4.5/5
Bed was comfortable and the room was designed well for function with both a work station and a place to eat. There were too many lights in the room so it was hard to sleep. Router/wifi light, and various other bright lights. The elevator was broken so I had to use the stairs to go down.

Exceptional
- 5/5
The rooms were clean, plenty of towels if you from the hotel was spectacular and the gentleman that checked his end at the Front Desk was more than helpful
- 3/5
Staff was less than enthusiastic about assisting but did so begrudgingly when we requested clean towels after not receiving maid service. Will not stay here again.
- 3/5
Why am I paying for parking..I don’t even pay parking in Scottsdale!!
- 3/5
Staff was amazing. However, the room was not fully cleaned and I had to be moved to another room.
- 5/5
I've stayed here 3 to 4 times now. You do have to pay extra for parking on the property. I recommend the basement structure. It keeps your car in the shade and was not very full. Rooms facing the road are a little noisy if you're a light sleeper. There are white noise machine in each room to help drown out the road noise.
- 5/5
Staff at the front desk was great!!
- 3/5
Room was very cold. Could not turn on lights for bathroom only which was a problem for sleeping. Also TV did not turn on unless all lights were on.
- 4/5
Very good
- 4/5
Great place to stay within walking distance to the University of Arizona.
- 5/5
Great location, great value and nice attentive staff

its a basic hotel with a nice bed and a good airconditioning system. The staff was understanding when I complained about,,,, Bed Bugs. I saw them on my pillow and immediately left the hotel. Now I have to steam clean my luggage and my car.

Close to the University and great coffee shops and restaurants to enjoy. Great staff! Friendly welcoming and helpful
- 3/5
Room was clean, sticky stuff on tile floor in front of fridge which was weird. The bad thing about this hotel is it’s on a really noisy street, and that’s the side we had. Just constant noise all night long.
- 5/5
Since my daughter lives maybe a mile away, I didn’t opt in for the breakfast and we ate our meals out and got in late so didn’t have a chance to use the bar but there were always people there and they seemed content. My room was very clean and much larger than most hotel rooms. The photos made it look small so it was a nice surprise! The room faced the main road, Speedway and it definitely lives up to its name but even with the noise, it did not wake me up or disturb my sleep on the 5th floor. Everyone who worked there was super friendly and helped or answered any question I had. Used the exercise room once and it was clean with plenty of equipment for me to stretch out and get what I needed. The pool was nice with pool towels provided there and unlimited water poolside. I wish I had time to play the games in the lobby but we were running and shopping all the time.

The room was clean and beds were super comfortable. The gathering area was very nice. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Overall a very pleasant stay.
- 5/5
I was disappointed at the fact of having to pay to park on the premises... There was ample parking available underneath the hotel as well as outside. I know 17.00 per day isn't much but its the principal, you know. In my opinion if you pay to stay, parking should be included.

Staff were FANTASTIC. Parking is great. Room was not overly scented which I really appreciate because I have allergies and chemical sensitivities to many fragrances. The only thing I would improve is that it was a bummer that only coffee is free and all other breakfast is things you must pay (a lot) for. Also the light switch for the bathroom is where the door turns the light off when you shut it. Who designed that? But these were minor (and funny) inconveniences. I would stay again knowing I'm not allergic and it is comfortable, clean and safe. Those are much more important.
- 5/5
Convenient, clean and nice bar
- 5/5
AMAZING ROOM AND STAFF. They dont mention the $75 dollar incedentals fee at check in though, and it got charged to me a few hours before check out, not at check in. Other than that would stay again.
- 1/5
Poor conditions, bad odor in the room, lack of communication from staff on paid parking. Housekeeping never came up to clean our room. This hotel should be rated a 2 Star. Best part of the two star would be for the location as it is 2 mins from The university of Arizona.
- 3/5
Nice front desk employee. Not great room. Hotel looks worn.

- 5/5
Our room was very nice. Clean also. The staff was always kind and helpful. On our checkout, Embassy (the girl at the front desk) as so sweet. For our three days there, the stay was very easy - decent pricing, clean rooms, clean premises, and good and helpful staff
- 5/5
Great location, clean and safe. Shower design left a little to be desired.
- 5/5
Great location, clean and safe. Shower design left a little to be desired.
- 3/5
Location of hotel for visiting U of A is great, but hotel is very average. Lighting in rooms, hallways, and elevators was really dark. Hotel was priced right for this visit but is really overpriced for any major events going on at the university and rooms are only cleaned every other day.
- 5/5
Nice rooms with good blackout shades. Friendly staff.
- 3/5
The property is beautiful. The rooms are fantastic. The staff could not be more friendly and more helpful there was ample parking, but they also said the pool was heated maybe for penguins but not for humans and I would kind of expect a hot tub / spa area out of the hotel of this caliber
- 2/5
Room was clean, bed comfortable and aircon unit easy to adjust for personal comfort. Liquid bath products on shower were good. Property is on major highway. Very busy and noisy. Hospital nearby so lots of sirens 24/7. Breakfast not complementary. Garage entry a bit tricky to navigate.

Great property but
- 5/5
We were visiting our daughter at U of A and the convenience to campus is great!
- 5/5
Clean room and good location for university
- 4/5
Diego at the front desk gave me extraordinary service at a very difficult time. I was there due to a family medical emergency and he went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed to make the trip be bareable.
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Nice amenities.
- 4/5
The room needs upgrading. The drapes were broken. The headboard was scratched. The ceiling looked deteriorating. The decorative pillows were missing on the beds. There were only 3 bath towels at start. I think there should be 4. The location to the university was excellent. The staff at front desk was friendly.
- 5/5
Location is great, staff is great, lobby is great, beds and bathroom great. The hallways need work, rooms aren’t perfect. If you are going to the U of A for a function it’s worth a stay.
- 4/5
The room was clean , bed linen were fresh and clean, towels were fresh and clean. The rooms are spacious. The reception staff are excellent and super helpful.
- 5/5
Great experience!
- 4/5
The staff was kind and helpful when I needed certain receipts. I wish there was a free breakfast option. The room was quiet, but was showing wear and tear. Good location by the university and near bus stops. The bagels next door are great.

Check in was great! The room was clean and everything was amazing!
- 2.5/5
It was a good location. The front desk staff were very helpful, especially in the morning when the chef had called out sick and so the front desk gentleman pulled some double duty. He was so friendly and nice about it. I didn’t mind waiting for my bagel. The rooms and hallways were super dark and dank. The ceilings felt very low and you felt like you were in the cave. The rooms were very dark with not enough lighting, so it was difficult to see. This is the only hotel I have ever never made coffee in. The coffee maker was super crusted and even rusty inside. The beds were very comfortable and so were the pillows. The blinds were very difficult to close. You had to pull on a very stiff chain that was either rusted or off the track so it was hard to close the windows. With the hotel facing straight south the afternoon sun just drilled into the room and heated it up.

its pet friendly but mines at home
- 4/5
Very good
- 5/5
Perfect location right on the edge of campus. Ample parking and an easy walk to a few stores and restaurants. Room was clean and had all the amenities I needed for a quick work trip.
- 5/5
The room and building was clean and happy. I was due for an early morning surgery and Crystal and Angel helped us out with graciousness and patience. My husband had decided on extending his stay, Crystal set up the required documents so that we could extend our stay and Angel finished the documents. Everything went smoothly and easily. Can't say enough to thank everyone for their kindness. We would stay here again.
- 5/5
This hotel is a great option if you are going to the university. Easy to get to via car or public transport. Very walkable with lots of restaurant options nearby. Staff knowledgeable and friendly. Rooms clean and comfortable. Didn’t try the breakfast but the coffee is good. Definitely recommend.

- 5/5
The staff has been amazing and the whole team goes out of their way to be friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Everything and was just great. Helpful, pleasant, made everything convenient!
- 5/5
We had our dog with us. She was very welcome and there was no extra charge for her. I also appreciated the parking garage. Beds were very comfortable.
- 3/5
It was fine, but pool was ice cold and not clean. There was some guy hanging around back there, it was evident that he definitely not intending to swim. This was not how it’s pictured, but had fun games to play inside. Okay comfort wise, but prefer closer to campus.
- 5/5
excellent service room was pleasant
- 5/5
Friendly staff, terrific location near U of A, decent fitness center, spacious rooms.
- 3/5
The room was much more run down from when I remember staying there a few years back. The ceiling was peeling in a lot of placing and some of the lights didn't work. Also, none of us liked the shower because there isn't a single shelf to put things.
- 5/5
Room was clean, staff was great and we were close to the campus.
- 5/5
Accommodation was great
- 5/5
Five star staff
- 5/5
The staff here (everyone) was so kind, so accommodating and just went above and beyond for us. Wonderful stay and we hope to be back!
- 4/5
The lobby and bar area was very cool. Pool table and games to play with nice sit down areas. Outdoors had covered seating and lounge areas as well. Rooms were OK. Walking distance to food and bars, and pretty much right next to campus.
- 5/5
The staff was super kind and friendly.
- 5/5
Close to campus, clean and a great place to stay!!!!!
- 5/5
Front desk staff was friendly and accommodating
- 5/5
Amazing staff. Pool was dirty
- 4/5
pretty good overall, pet friendly, but area surrounding not very pet friendly--need to walk about .4 miles to UofA campus for them to touch grass.
- 5/5
Staff was great. Quick check-in.
- 4/5
Older hotel renovated pretty well.
- 4/5
There was someone on another floor playing loud music till 2 am
- 5/5
Either incorporate parking fees into the total or don't charge guests for parking.
- 5/5
Good food
- 3/5
Room was ok. The floor seemed a bit dirty
- 5/5
Great location next to University of Arizona. Clean, helpful staff, open bar after hours, overall great experience
- 2/5
Would not return. Very convenient to the UofA campus, but it’s worn down, bad design, not very clean, noisy. The free parking was a great amenity.
- 4/5
All good.
- 4/5
It was a one night stay but overall really good. Staff were great!
- 5/5
Great little hotel near U of A. Friendly staff and in a walkable neighborhood.
- 5/5
The person at the desk was professional l, welcoming and very efficient. She checked in more than one guest while being most polite and conveyed all the details regarding the hotel for each of us.
- 5/5
Friendly staff.
- 5/5
Great location
- 1/5
The hotel and room was unclean. Would not stay here again. Do not recommend. Hair everywhere in the bedding, shower, bathroom, paint peeling, elevator smelled like pee, room smelled old and musty.
- 4/5
Great place and eazy walk to the stadium
- 4/5
Didn’t like that I was charged 15$ per day to park at a hotel I staying at
- 5/5
Excellent
- 5/5
Front desk staff was very personable and jelpful. Bar tender was prompt. First time staying at an Aloft property. All in all a good experience.
- 2/5
No one at front desk during check in and no way to contact anyone - we just had to wait. Initial room was not clean or made up at all. Had to take everything back down to the lobby to receive a different room assignment. Second room was cleaner but lights did not work properly, head board on bed was scratched and tattered, the ceiling looked like it was molded or pockmarked or just gross in general. Will not recommend and will not stay again.
- 5/5
The staff were excellent
- 5/5
First time coming here with my wife and kids and was quite pleasantly. Definitely will be coming back again :)
- 1/5
The noise is outrageous. Very loud due to the street. Only one main switch for all the lights. AC control didn’t work to turn the temperatures up or down.
- 5/5
I had a room on the 6th floor and the City and Mountain View’s was spectacular!!
- 3/5
Lobby was nice, but room was dirty, especially the carpet. Also, the headboard and bathroom fixtures showed wear. I also don’t like how dark it is inside the elevators. I’ve stayed here a few times before and it’s gotten worse, so I’m not sure I’ll stay here again.
- 5/5
Great location and staff with a wonderful bagel shop next door!
- 3/5
Really noisy as it’s by a hospital, sirens all night long.
- 3/5
The shower in our room had hair it. The room had terrible lighting including the bathroom and shower with black tile. This made it hard to see just how dirty it was. The blinds in our room were broken and could not be closed so we called and a woman came and said she could not fix that and maintenance wasn’t there on the weekend so she would contact the manager and let us know. We were never contacted and nobody fixed it in our 3 nights there so we had to be creative to cover the window. Overall for the price, could’ve been better. We would not stay here again.
- 5/5
Close to the university
- 4/5
I liked the close proximity to the University of Arizona.
- 5/5
Staff recommend place for dinner across the street and fish and chips were amazing!
- 5/5
No issues checking in, parking was easy. It was a great stay.
- 5/5
Great!
- 3/5
Other than that, we really enjoyed their gym and the kids enjoyed the pool.
- 3/5
Overall is a good hotel, not worth the price but good. They charge extra for parking. The coffee maker and coffee in the room are terrible.
- 5/5
Overall nice experience, very clean and safe, near a few places to eat, not far from grocery store, uber cars are within 3 minutes, and there is bus stop outside the hotel!! Love that the location is 100% smoke free!! Very nice....would recommend a stay!!
- 2/5
- 5/5
Off season, so not many guests there. Rates where good. Underground garage for parking. Pleasant staff.
- 5/5
Quiet, clean, and convenient.
- 3/5
The staff was very nice. The first room we were in the AC wasn’t working and they moved us right away. They also brought a crib in for our baby which was great. My only complaint is the walls are thin we could hear everything from the halls and other rooms.
- 5/5
Was very close to the Banner Medical Center near campus where we were visiting a family member. Easy to find and decent dining options near hotel
- 5/5
Ray was so very helpful when we had car trouble. The entire staff is just so kind!
- 5/5
Everything was great!
- 5/5
It was a great stay! The staff were great!
- 3/5
Great location
- 5/5
Weekend grandson birthday
- 5/5
Had a later night check in and the staff was friendly and quick. Room was clean and very comfortable.
- 5/5
The staff gave off a wonderful friendly vibe. There's a pool table and small bar available. It's very close to the university and close to the sunlink streetcar which takes you to the university row of dining and then to the "downtown" area. Be aware that though breakfast is available, it's not complimentary.
- 5/5
It was such a comfortable stay and very accessible to many restaurants and events!
- 5/5
They time of our stay was brief, but extremely enjoyable. The pool was clean and refreshing. The rooms clean, and comfortable. The area offers many food and entertainment options.
- 4/5
Staff was great, hallways to rooms were a little dark and floors needed cleaning
- 4/5
Best hotel adjacent to the UOA campus. It’s right across the street. Walking distance to the campus, shopping, and restaurants.
- 5/5
I had a great experience. I was checked in by Embassy and she literally turned my bad day around! I had a horrible flight to Tucson and my stay at Aloft provided the perfect ambience to enjoy spending time with my kids who had just recently graduated. Thank you so much for everything!
- 5/5
Close to campus.
- 5/5
From check in to check out everything was perfect I will definitely stay here again
- 5/5
I had a wonderful stay. The hotel is located in a peaceful and convenient area, perfect for rest and preparation. The service was truly extraordinary — the staff was kind, attentive, and very professional. I highly recommend it.
- 5/5
Came in last minute for a room - was greeted - offered a room right away - great customer service
- 4/5
Great place to stay for an Arizona sporting event. The outdoor areas are getting old and run down.
- 5/5
.
- 4/5
The blinds were sticky and didn’t open or close smoothly. The pool area is a bit disappointing in comparison to photos. Prefer more regular coffee in the room as well as body lotion.
- 5/5
The best thing was the proximity to the University of Arizona, great location if you are going to Steward or LPL.
- 4/5
The bed was incredibly comfortable! The shower area needed updating around the floor tile, etc.
- 5/5
Awsome
- 5/5
Great
- 4/5
Hall smelled a little musty. Convenient location parking was a little expensive
- 5/5
Wonderful hotel with friendly staff. The room was beautiful, parking was easy, and there are excellent restaurants nearby.
- 5/5
Very helpful and polite staff. The property was clean, but could still use a deep clean and sprucing up.
- 4/5
Tiles in shower are dangerous. Once they are wet and you are rinsing off shampoo and body wash shower floor tiles a very slippery. Plus no grab bars in shower. I felt unsafe taking a shower.
- 5/5
All
- 5/5
So close to campus. Great location
- 5/5
The room was good, but the desk was exceptional. Friendly and easy to deal with.
- 2/5
The back garden was un kept and looked abandoned.
- 4/5
Close to UofA
- 4/5
Great for a quick visit to UofA.
- 4/5
The Aloft is ok. It is not far from the university albeit not very close either. It is convenient, with the usual high standard of American hotel rooms - large, well maintained, clean. It is not exceptional in any meaningful way though. Breakfast was not included in my deal - but it looked unappetizing. The Room was good - but it was dark and there was no way to make it have more light - i.e. what lights there were are weak and placed in sections that leave the rest in relative darkness. Staff were very nice and helpful. So overall good - not great.
- 5/5
Very convenient for a UofA visit. Service and property were excellent. I’ll be back!
- 5/5
Great property, easy walk to U of A.
- 5/5
Vietnamese restaurant right by this hotel. Many national chain eateries are close by.
- 5/5
Staff was very courteous and extremely helpful
- 4/5
The hotel was nice, the staff was friendly, and the room/fitness center was clean.
- 5/5
The place was convenient, cozy, close to every thing, restaurants, highways, churches, the city centre, etc.
- 3/5
Like the view of the mountain from our room. The staff is quite nice.
- 5/5
good
- 4/5
Not in the mix of downtown
- 5/5
Front staff, breakfast staff, room staff. The modern environment was pleasing very clean. I appreciated the "Food Bar" that was convenient and well stocked. Easy to select choices and instant pay process. I am coming back next February.
- 3/5
Great location. Very nice staff. Property needs refreshing.
- 5/5
Great location. Clean with comfortable lounge area.
- 4/5
Try to get room on the back side of the hotel. A room on Speedway Blvd. can be noisy at night due to loud traffic.
- 4/5
If staying 2 nights be aware room will not be made.
- 5/5
Great
- 4/5
Good value for money
- 5/5
Very nice very clean very quiet I stay at this hotel every time I come to Wilcox I love the indoor pool and jacuzzi
- 5/5
Stayed here the night before a campus tour. Very convenient. Hotel is nice. Modern room. Good amenities.
- 5/5
It is an excellent hotel and the staff are great. I book this hotel for my business's incoming guests so when friends were coming to Tucson, it was an easy choice.
- 5/5
.
- 3/5
This property is convenient to the U of A. There were homeless in the parking lot and around the hotel. If you are traveling alone, I would consider other options. The beds were comfortable but the rooms were not overly clean. Housekeeping every two days.
- 5/5
The staff was so kind and professional. I would highly recommend this property, and gladly stay there again in the future.
- 5/5
Diego, Ronaldo and Madi were great! They were friendly, attentive and very responsive if any issues arose. In Tucson for a training and the hotel was conveniently located to the training with places to eat close by. Beds were comfortable. The Hotel is next to a couple of busy streets and did hear some traffic on occasion (on the 5th floor). Overall good stay and would stay again.
- 5/5
Staff were all incredibly helpful and friendly for the entire 7 night stay. Great view from the 7th floor mountain side. Would recommend!
- 4/5
The temp in the room was awful and wouldn't adjust. Otherwise the staff was awesome and we enjoyed our stay!
- 4/5
They only clean your room every other day which us not convenient.
- 3/5
Average stay for the price.
- 5/5
If you ever go to Tucson and are wanting to be near the university the place to stay is The Aloft . The staff makes your stay unforgettable . The hotel is clean , modern and great place to stay . The beds are comfortable and the bar downstairs is the place to start or end your night . A quick walk across the street to campus and then on to university or fourth have . Down the street from resteraunt row on Campbell the Aloft is where to stay as they say Location Location Location !!!
- 5/5
Loved that it was pet friendly! Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

- 4/5
Had to change rooms due to room plumbing issue Change was easily accommodated by front desk If you stay on the the Speedway Blvd. Side, bring earplugs.
- 5/5
Room was nice, convenient location, pet friendly, great work area. Bed was comfortable, love the Drybar products! Its right along the road, so you do hear some traffic noise, but didn't bother us. Definitely recommend!
- 5/5
I loved it
- 5/5
Location is perfect if you are doing something on campus
- 4/5
This proprrty is near the University of Arizona and it can get quite noisy Nothing wrong with that but if your looking for a nice quiet place this is not the hotel for you. It met our needs even as I was in a wheelchair but it was pretty tight quarters. All in all it met our needs.
- 5/5
Great stay!
- 5/5
Excellent stay!
- 5/5
Always good here maze and staff easy check and easy. Check out just good. Good vibes
- 1/5
Toilet kept clogging so hotel has plumbing issues. Friday night was VERY loud with what sounded like a band or thumping music. Bathroom is very dark. Window shades didn’t work to allow them to open all the way and they were frayed and torn. Refrigerator is in the bathroom which is a little gross especially with a clogging toilet. There are other hotel options you might try even if you need to be close to campus.
- 5/5
Pleasant stay. This is where I stay in Tucson.
- 2/5
It was convenient to my daughters off-campus house which is why I stayed there. Probably would not stay there with my wife...
- 5/5
They were very helpful and welcoming.
- 5/5
Very friendly staff. An issue brought to the attention of the front desk was resolved immediately.
- 5/5
I forgot my glasses
- 4/5
Very affordable and centrally located
- 4/5
Fine
- 5/5
Close walking distance to Az Stadium.
- 4/5
Staff personnel were very nice, friendly, helpful.
- 5/5
This was a great place! Loved how close it was to everything and how easy the parking is.
- 1/5
There was bugs all over my room and they refused to refund me, I had to go get a room elsewhere
- 5/5
First time at this hotel. Will not be my last!
- 3/5
I think there are two people that work there at any time. Nice people but seriously, two people. Also, how about you install some more lights. Darkest hotel ever.
- 4/5
The hotel needs a better breakfast. Breakfast should be included with the purchase of the room. The breakfast items was over priced, and was out of stock on several breakfast options.
- 5/5
Proximity to U of Arizona campus
- 5/5

Place was great. Location was perfect. The hotel just didn’t have any water pressure.

Good hotel for the price. Convenient location close to Univ Of Arizona. Has a College vibe with games at the lobby. The room ceiling is a little dark. But is a good hotel. Customer service amazing.

Great location and friendly staff.

Staff was friendly and very efficient. Area around the hotel needs some work, but that had nothing to do with the hotel.

Was a bit disappointed in the underground garage, food wrappers cigarette butts here and there, and other garbage and smelly too. Also good value for stay but our Air Conditioner took for ever to get cool. Fabulous hot water soft towel, and yes FREE Coffee and Tea!

The stay was great but charging for parking was something that didn’t make sense in this city some cites yes because your charged everywhere but I think this is the only hotel that charges
