- Affordable price
- Convenient location
- Inconsistent cleanliness
- Poor maintenance and outdated facilities
- 3/5
Cheapest hotel in Tucson The environment is horrible. My first room didn’t come with toilet paper towels.
- 3/5
Wifi didn't work, and pool was closed
- 1/5
The property was close to where I needed to be. But that’s it. This property was outdated, dirty, holes in walls and doors, and dusty inside the rooms. Oh, and they have bed bugs.
- 0.5/5
Price A lot of homeless people, drug addicts, and in a terrible location. There was an overdose at 3am. There was constant traffic to one specific drug dealing room and addicts doing drugs in the bushes.
- 2/5
SENCILLO EL LLEGAR , FUNCIONA BIEN EL AIRE ACONDICIONADO, LAS SABANAS Y COLCHA NO ESTABAN LIMPIAS, Y VI INSECTOS ( CUCARACHAS )
- 1/5
Shampoo and soap where hardly usable. Huge cockroach in the bathroom upon arrival. Homeless people own the parking lot. We felt unsafe and were worried about potential risk to our vehicle so we left that evening.
- 3/5
The room was clean and comfortable. Not the newest or nicest but definitely good for the price and location. TV only got one channel and the soaps provided were cheap but we were prepared. The area ia not the best part of Tucson, some interesting characters wandering around but no trouble. There is a pool on site, looked clean and nice but did not partake.
- 5/5
Hay buenas limpiezas está cerca del centro de la ciudad
- 5/5
Plenty of parking and the AC kept ud cool. It was a hop skip and jump to grap food and drinks and management was spot on getting a place under $50 was a blessing.
- 5/5
A/C works well
- 5/5
AC WORKS WELL.
- 5/5
Cold AC in Tucson heat
- 4.5/5
Good value for price

Clean room
- 4/5
Too many homeless & shady characters
- 5/5
Good experience. Room was clean.
- 5/5
room was just what I needed for a 2 night stay. Clean, comfy bed, table and chairs, mini-fridge and microwave. Plenty of hot water. New carpet and paint. Its an older place, no frills but excellent for the price. Had a nice looking pool I didnt use. Owner was so nice. Remarkably quiet despite being on a major street. Near University and Interstate access. Would stay again!
- 1/5
Just wow! I fell into the price and it was a mistake. Little stuff like lousy internet and a remote that almost never worked, moving up to bigger stuff like the Grey Goose Vodka left from a previous visitor, the surgical glove on the shower head to stop a leak, lots of general bad maintenance and decay. The cleaning woman was great, but the owner/manager was kinda useless. Add the rampant homelessness and drug users in the neighborhood and it ranks among my worst hotel experiences!
- 0.5/5
Nothing at all Everything homeless people and drugged outside no place for children to stay in be safe manager will keep ur money no matter oh in deposits $150 on top of ur booking fee
- 5/5
PRIVACY. Nice staff, clean
- 3/5
It is good for the price
- 4/5
Water was not hot for the shower
- 5/5
Perfect
- 4/5
Fridge was not plugged in
- 0.5/5
The property wasn’t great. Small rooms and the carpet was pretty gross. Nothing
- 1/5
1. It was a run down ghetto affair. 2. Walls as tin as paper, actually had to listen to love making from next door. 3. On the 3rd night an ambulance took away a shrieking guest. In six day no one inquired about a change of towels or linen. I could go on but I think you get the picture. You really should not have such an establishment among your offerings.
- 3.5/5
The host No ice or freezer
- 3/5
To many houses people hanging around
- 0.5/5
That at booking I was not told about having to arrive earlier than regular check in time (did not accommodate).
- 4/5
Office staff very courteous.
- 4/5
Excellent staff, clean room, inexpensive
- 0.5/5
The rooms were dirty blankets had holes and the outside so many crackheads
- 3/5
Just as expected for this area, but very convenient.
- 4/5
Very nice hotel for a short stay. The disappointment was that their ice machine wasn’t working so I had to buy a bag.
- 1/5
It is highly unlikely that I will be returning to this establishment. Upon entering my room, I discovered that the temperature had reached at least 110 degrees Fahrenheit. Every time I exited the room, I encountered a group of individuals strung out on God knows what. and harassing me for a cigarette, as well bothering my service animal. Furthermore, the property imposed a deposit fee for my service animal, which constitutes a violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). - 3.5/5
Weird people hanging out around the corner
- 2/5
Room smelt old. Lots of homeless around property. Did not feel safe. Only stayed a few hours and left.
- 5/5
bad
- 2/5
i should have known better but i arrived after dark near downtown Tucson .The property was mostly vacant with a few long term rentals in the rear. Old beat up room with bed bugs . I am going to contact Tucson Health Department. Hopefully they can shut this property down.
- 5/5
Close to freeway
- 2/5
Will never stay there again
- 3/5
Bathroom light fixture was missing two light bulbs.
- 3/5
I didn’t sleep well because I could feel every movement of my husband on the bed. The AC unit was quite noisy too.
- 5/5
I love the fact that it was simple and quaint would not give it a bad review because there was nothing bad about it
- 5/5
When I pulled into the parking lot and saw it was an 'extended stay' facility, I wondered if I had made a mistake; because usually 'extended stay' means rowdy. But it far exceeded my expectations. It was meticulously clean and very quiet. And absolutely wonderful, helpful staff. I will definitely be staying here again!
- 3/5
the room was in need of tlc..a bit run down..i did get a haur dryer from front desk
- 4/5
We just needed a place to stay the night, and it was fine for that! I slept well, my husband not as much. The room was tidy and we were happy to have a fridge and microwave.
- 2/5
I actually got sick being in this hotel because of how moist and humid it was in the room. There charged me for my service dogs when it clearly states that services are exempt and its the law so they took it from our deposit
- 5/5
We were in town for just one night; didn't need anything fancy, just clean and comfy. Stone Inn was exactly that. Easy to get to our event at the University via Uber. It was quiet; no noise outside to keep us awake. We slept in and were not disturbed. Thanks.
- 4/5
The room was clean, well maintained.
- 1/5
I didn't like anything about this Inn. I booked a non-smoking room and it had a terrible cigarette smell. There was no light in the main room, the fridge wasn't working and the tub was very dirty. Although the bed was comfortable I ended up sleeping in my car because of the cigarette smell.
- 2/5
overall i got what i paid for, but the surrounding area/sidewalk was covered in dog feces and i had consistently loud and disruptive neighbors through the night. my biggest concern was that the door to my room was very difficult to close and get to lock, i was a little worried about whether or not my door was actually locked
- 3/5
The Wi-Fi is unusable, I had to tether with my cell phone. The place was quiet when I was there.
- 5/5
The one dirty item was a once-white shower curtain is now peach colored at the bottom with black spots. That's years of bacteria and mildew growth. You can get shower curtains for $1 - $2.
- 4/5
Location
- 4/5
If you’re on a budget this is definitely a decent place. We got there at around 9am after a long 14 hour drive and I asked to pay extra to check in early. They didn’t charge me at all for the early check in and the customer service was the most amazing I’ve ever experienced at a hotel. Comfort definitely wasn’t great but we really only used the room for sleep. We had to kill about 3 bugs when we walked in and then we were fine. Not a bad place and if in a pinch I would return.
- 5/5
It was a comfortable place i would stay at again if in need.
- 1/5
I was very pleased with rhe manager Bebe who went out of his way so that I could park my car close to my room. I didnt like the fa t that it says there is breakfast included and i i git was coffee and a small pagage of blueberry or chocolate myffins. Thia isnt even a continental breakfast. Expedia should not even bother to list it with a breakfast. Definitely, not worth the money to stay there.
- 4/5
It was quiet and clean. Couldn't ask for more.
- 1/5
We arrived and checked in with no issue. Got up to our room and my girl friend wasnt happy with the room at all. I asked her to give it a chance while i started to unpack. She agreed. She pulled back the cover on the bed and found faint blood droplets stains on the sheet. We stayed a total of 10 minutes before leaving. Will definitely never go back
- 2/5
The lobby area is locked and they make you stand outside in the cold to check in/out.
- 3/5
Clean shelter, absolutely no frills, pleasant staff, near U of Arizona.
- 2/5
Everything was fine, no one ever answered the pq phones and you couldn't call the guest cause a simple recording would come out everytime
- 1/5
Didn't like much of anything. After checking in, wife informed me someone in the car parked in front of us was snorting something. Got to our room & there was a piece of burned tin foil next to our door. Cars in & out of parking lot all night. Pretty obvious a lot of drug activity taking place. Lobby door kept locked. Had to talk to clerk thru a small sliding glass slot. Room had no safety chain or dead bolt, propped a chair against it at night for safety. Room needs remodeled. Definitely not worth price paid.
- 3/5
Stay at your own risk, but, at the end of a day, it's a bed and it's a hot shower. Stains on the chairs, floor, and outdated amenities are to be expected. The Night-staff was very friendly! So, that's a huge plus, ha
- 1/5
Place is absolute dump
- 3/5
The hotel owner was very nice. It was so quiet, and very peaceful. You get what you pay for so this isnt a luxury experience but you can tell that they take pride in their property. Wifi sucked though lol
- 4/5
It is a one star motel.
- 3/5
Place is in dire need of touch ups. Bathroom , shower, furnisher etc. etc.Check out is at 10 am. Front office is always locked, have to ring bell
- 2/5
The room was dirty. People fighting in the area. Not impressed.
- 1/5
worst hotel i've ever been to.
- 1/5
I tried to call 4 times. No one would answer the phone. Then when I went to the lobby to check in, all of the doors were locked. I waited a while but nobody ever came. I ended up driving 2 hours back home last night because I couldn’t get into my hotel that I paid for. Absolutely ridiculous.
- 4/5
Considering the. Area it was okay . Seemed quiet could of been cleaner but overall for the value it was what we needed
- 5/5
When we first arrived to check in there was no one there but all you gotta do is hit the bell button and the manager will come right away. The manager was an amazing guy ill tell you that much. Seems to take pride in his work and acts as the maintenance man too. Had an issue with the tv and microwave but he just said " no problem im on my way" and came and fixed the issue. Our room had a full size refrigerator which was nice because we stayed for 5 nights. The room was nice and way more maintained then the rooms ive been staying in the last few weeks. Its not the prettiest place but its clean and didnt have bed bugs like other places ive read reviews about. The area had its share of bad elements but its not the hotels Fault. All the rooms seemed to be booked up by families which was nice. Didnt notice any riff raff staying at the hotel which was awesome. Stay was great and housekeeping comes daily to ask if you need anything so A+ for that. All in all it was a good stay and id definitely go back.
- 3/5
The property is very basic, but comfortable.
- 1/5
The place was sold out and a huge family and friendss group were there with well over 15 kids running and screaming until after 11pm - they left debris all over - place looked like a trash yard in the morning after they left for the day.
- 1/5
Disgusting I can’t believe you promote such crap. 3d world building. Dirty, stained towels,tv or internet non working. I want my money back. I had just checked out of the hospital. Shame on you. I want my money back.
- 1/5
The room was filthy...I happened to check under the beds to make sure we didn't have anything go under there and oh my, it was awful. Bathroom was dirty. There were not enough hand towels. There was no ice available (covid, according to the owner). I have stayed in many hotels during Covid and ALL had ice available. I also had to ask for plastic cups and the guy actually looked at me like....why? I need them for medicine...just give me the cups! Thankfully, this is the LAST hotel stay in Tucson as we were there to help our youngest move into his new home. I will not stay at this hotel again!
- 4/5
The owner is amazing. Very kind and helpful. The motel itself is a little rundown. But it was clean inside the room. I loved having a little fridge and microwave, as well as a small table & chair set.
- 1/5
Ice machine broken. In-room Microwave broken. Soaps were useless. Wifi so slow as to be unusable. Didn't honor my reservation room-type or check-out time.
- 4/5
The motel was clean but no coffee maker. Door chain would also help in providing extra sense of security. The restroom were well stocked and clean. Overall, I would give it a 4 star. The staff or owner is kind and very helpful. I enjoyed my stay.
- 4/5
Going in and out of their rooms. My room looked like it needed some repairs in some places but overall was ok to staying for the night while traveling through state.
- 2/5
Just very faded motel. Mostly clean, but some necessities missing (like regular towel changes). Peeling wall paper & toilet seat can see through the paint in places). Area a bit iffy. So..I won’t be going back.
- 5/5
Very adequate. I slept well
- 1/5
Speaking with the staff it became obvious that they knew that the door locks don't work properly and do nothing to repair or warn customers
- 3/5
Internet was terrible and I rely on internet quite a lot for work
- 4/5
The price was high for the room offered, but this could have been the particular date/time of the year. The breakfast was muffins and fruit and could have offered more options
- 4/5
The manager was friendly. He even remembered that my husband was getting a pace maker and asked about it the next day.
- 2/5
Beds came with no blankets just a sheet and a thin bed cover. No simple immentities such as and iron. Towels in shower were not really bath size as they were smaller than normal. Sink seemed to be clogged and hard time draining upon arrival. Just overall a lot of simple things could be done to get it to standard and that’s not discussing the people living on the back side of the hotel on the street.
- 3/5
Decent older hotel in need of renovation
- 3/5
I liked the location ok, though it was in the vicinity of the park where the homeless gather at night. The whole unit was reasonably clean and the bathroom was big enough to turn around in, but the tub was rather slippery inside. The towels were better than the ones in the motel across the street, but some were still thin and gray. The worst thing was that the refrigerator did not work. We had to plug it in - heard it turn on, but come morning it was warm inside and some of our food spoiled. In the end, I guess you get what you pay for.
- 4/5
Water pipe broke so had to move room, but were very nice about it
- 2/5
All the crackheads outside terrified the kids. The place was not great but okay, but the neighborhood is awful.
- 4/5
It was good but bad peoples out at night
- 4/5
Quite dated..suffient for our stay.. accommodating and nice location
- 1/5
Cheap, but door handles didn’t deadbolt and rooms smelled like they are overcompensating with deodorizer
- 3/5
Front desk let us check in early which I appreciated. I found my bed clean and restroom clean. Stains on the floor, walls and chairs however could be eyesores. Parking lot was not clean. TLC of this place would make this a great spot. Great location and the pool was just what my son wanted. The owner and his wife were super nice...
- 1/5
Really was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. I am used to two stars and don't mind them as I am so busy I just come back to the room to crash for the night. But the bed was extremely uncomfortable, room was very dirty, and the toilet broken. I am not even in the room long enough to complain or ask to be moved but I wish I had and will never go back. I have never written a bad review. The location is not bad and the staff who checked me in and out were nice.
- 4/5
Better than expected
- 2/5
Desperate need of repair. The condition of the motel was in great need of repair. Wall had been spackled but not painted. In my room. Very out dated. Hot and cold water needed to be regulated better. The staff was very nice and helpfully.
- 4/5
Not the greatest part of town. The staff is great though. Fridge and microwave in the room.
- 2/5
Hotel is very old. Advertised breakfast was brewed coffee and small packages of pastries in the tiny office that you had to take back to your room. Shower curtain had mildew on them. There was no blanket on the bed, just sheets and a beat up bedspread. Owners were nice.
- 1/5
There were cockroaches in the room
- 2/5
So people linger outside and does not feel comfortable. The smoke goes right into my room.
- 1/5
Improperly spliced wiring, dirty and broken shower. Rips in the mattress, Broken lamp shades. It was a run down dump and shouldn't be operating as a business.
- 1/5
Rather than stay, I found another motel.....clientele somewhat Seedy........
- 2/5
Thumping-noice in the wall very loud, couldn’t sleep, room below us came up to tell us to stop with the construction work at 11:30PM. Restroom door doesn’t close. Flip door lock missing. I fell down the wet slippery stairs, no anti-slip material on the stairs, metal is exposed.. I have a huge dark blue bruise, and welt in which I’ve been very concerned about, not to overlook it’s very sore. Hot water was scolding hot..too hot for public use.
- 2/5
Room was very old and worn with visible cracks in the walls around appliances. Felt really dingy. Open hole in the ceiling where something had been renoved. Old CRT tv.
- 5/5
Wish i had found this motel sooner. Clean. Comfortable. Friendly service. And Affordable!
- 1/5
Carpet only gets shampooed every 2 months.told them it was disgusting
- 4/5
It was decint
- 2/5
Sketchy area of town. WiFi was awfully slow when it worked. The price was right.
- 4/5
Hotel is clean and room was good but a little dated. Bed, linens and towels were very comfortable. Hotel is fairly close to UofAZ, but not the best area. It is convenient, but not great for walking. Overall, the hotel was good value for the room condition and price.
- 1/5
We had roaches in our room there was people next okeing pot on both sides of us there also was a homeless camp in the back of the hotel and also two along the walls out the hotel
- 5/5
I was so surprised by the condition of the room in a good way. Definitely worth the money I spent
- 1/5
Worst place to stay, low quality customer service was mad when I told him the room was dirty he accused me of making the mess just 5 minutes after checking in.
- 3/5
This is overpriced. Who requires a couple of dollars for a deposit? Oh...based appearance. The room was booked online in the first place, paid by credit card.
- 5/5
Are hotel was very clean. The htle staff was wonderful. Beinya was a nice man
- 5/5
Nice place great owners
- 1/5
dirty, smelly, the widow in room 202 would not close.
- 4/5
We were attending the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show. The hotel is conveniently located and is relatively quiet. The room was clean and it appears the staff cares. We were there a year earlier and they remembered us.
- 1/5
After being shown the room that was booked on Expedia, already paid for, we couldn't even stand in the room for 3 mins. The room stunk like cigarette smoke, the refrigerator was open and not clean, the carpet was torn and there were absolutely no toiletry amenities or hair dryer. Small, dank room permeated with cigarette smoke. With the owners permission we turned on fan and left window open for 2 hours. When we came back it was still too overwhelming to stay there comfortably so we went across the street and had a very nice stay. When I asked the owner if she could clean the fridge before we got back she gave me an eye roll.....don't know how they are still operating!
- 3/5
Just stayed for one night, there was a problem with the tv, fixed right away & nice manager.
- 1/5
1st . The floor was falling though if it wasn’t for the carpet the downstairs people would had company .2 .Carpet was filthy 3. Bath was disgusting the shower had a large hole in ithe shower wall .Floors were dirty pillows were super dirty inside the cases that didn’t fit ..
- 3/5
Manager pleasant and helpful, but my room lock did not bolt, there was only one TV station that came on, not all lights worked, and the office was perpetually locked and had a bell. Not always manned. Otherwise the room was clean and I got along.
- 3/5
I mean the room is not bad for what it's price it's definitely worth it. Nothing special here just a regular average hotel room.
- 1/5
The bed? Is that what was in the room? TV so old i couldnt plug in ANY modern device. The Shower, Wifi, and Parking were satisfactory... but Buyer Beware!! For $20 more, One could rent a room elsewhere with safety, quiet, cleanliness, comfort, and maybe some positive memories.
- 4/5
This hotel is about what you would expect for the price. It is old and a little run down, but clean. The owner/operators are great people. Don't expect the Marriott. LKook for a clean place to sleep and shower, with a fridge and microwave, and you won't be disappointed.
- 1/5
Service are terrible ~ room is nasty, hair everywhere, light doesn't work, when we complain about the room, they told me, this is what you paid. How much you paid how room you have
- 1/5
Check-in was fine. Got to the room and immediately became super anxious. There were two doors that adjoined other rooms and the only "security" was a cheap deadbolt. Also, the top latch of the door to the outside was broken. I was so uncomfortable and felt so unsafe that I didn't even stay. I picked up all my stuff and accepted my friends offer to sleep on their couch for the night.
- 3/5
rooms too small, outlets were in bad condition and very few, grounds needed some work
- 2/5
When we visited there was road work going on and made it very difficult to get to the hotel. It was a bit costly for what you get for your stay.
- 1/5
I wish I could rate this place a zero on all counts. It was the worst place I have ever stayed and that is saying much as I grew up with a single mother in the seventies and we could only afford dump motels in our travels. It was filthy and everything was so dated. I wouldn't allow my kids to walk barefoot on the carpet nor could I properly lock my door. There is no breakfast although it advertises as such. There were 3 packages of honey buns on the front desk as a breakfast option. I ended up having to spend $40 for breakfast at Dennys for my family of four. Don't waste your time or money - terrible!
- 1/5
I stayed here for one night and the first room we got was smelly and messy with no electricity. Like no one has cleaned that room in days. The second room we got was not that bad, but it wasn't good either. We travel a lot and this has got to be the worst place to stay because of the room. They did a good job getting us a second room that wasn't as bad.
