Voyager Resort Inn

An odd place to stay as the hotel was in the middle of a senior citizen RV Park. However the swimming pools were great. The bar had some awesome wings. Nice happy hour. Did find a pair of undies that were not ours in our room. There office was closed when we got there and want open until late morning. The guard at the gate was able to take care of both check in and check out..... all in all a good stop over for a night of quiet sleep

Clean room.

The highlight was the pools, hot tubs, and sauna! Grounds were impeccable and everyone was friendly. We enjoyed dinner at Fat willy's and their Playlist! Wish we had more time to take advantage of the many activities! Hot shower with great water pressure! Fridge and microwave. We arrived after 5 pm and the security gate had everything waiting for us. Room was cool and didn't have any noxious odors.

my husband and I were going to Tuscon to celebrate someones 10th birthday, we had out 8 year old son with us. we were there for only one night so time was important. They love to go swimming so that was a big part of the planning and the pool tables looked fun. I thought it had said pet friendly but apparently I was wrong on a lot. We rented a premium 2 bed room on the first floor. only pets are allowed in the casitas and housing in the motel it is support dogs only and they denied my ESA dog. (glad I called first).The room was clean but the beds were so small I felt like I was going to fall off in the night, and the bathroom door barely closed. This hotel is in the middle if a 55 and older community and they really are not child friendly. Swimming by children are restricted to specific times, the pool was open till 10 but children had to be out by 8pm. our check out time was 11 am but even though the pool opened at 7 children were not allowed till after 11 am. they said be there by 4pm or the office is closed we got there at 3:45 but even though the office was open they had already sent our stuff to the gat, but the gate did not have it someone else did. he did not explain anything or where anything was. we never found the pool tables and the boys only got to swim once, right after the 8 hour drive to get there. it was not worth the cost I could have went to a hotiday Inn or even a motel 8 and had the same or better oucomes.

Always a great experience staying at Voyager RV/Hotel. Rooms clean, spacious, and nicely decorated, pools/hot tubs/ and sauna are always well maintained, staff are always friendly and accommodating. My wife and I have stayed here a few days every year for many years now and will continue to do so...great place, great people.

The convent store was short on supplies. The breakfast morning servicer didn't show up at 8:00 so you had to wait until 9:00 just for coffee. We left after 45 minutes because the cook was to busy to get coffee to go. Dinner service and food was good.

Room was ok. No box spring on bed and bed was very firm. Was not comfortable for us. We did laundry, you need lots of quarters or you have to download an app and pay that way. We did not use any thing else but room and laundry so can't review more. The rooms are nice other then we like a more softer bed rather then firm.

Pretty property and convenient location to enjoy all of the beautiful areas around Tucson. You should understand that this is a retirement community. That was fine for us because it was quiet and relaxing. But, if we had little kids, it would not be great.

The rooms are basic but clean. It’s convenient to have a microwave and refrigerator. The proximity to the restaurant/ bar is nice.

The hotel is in the center of a large RV park. It’s a gated community, so it felt safe and secure. I could see a lot of people participating in activities. The staff was really friendly. The room wasn’t what I would consider “luxury”, but it was clean, quiet and well worth the price. There’s a nice bar and grill and convenience store next to the hotel.

My only complaint was on site restaurant was no open until 9 AM. Couldn’t get a coffee to go.

They said every room has wifi. No signal in my room, so I told the front office about it. They said yes some rooms have a little trouble. I just had a little work to catch up on, so I had to go outside to get some kind of a signal but I kept losing that signal. Wifi was horrible they should not even say they offer it.

Flat screen TV, coffee maker. Comfortable, traditional motel layout, quilts on beds. Ideal for visiting residents of the Voyager resort.

Property was perfectly suitable. Linens and towels were a little threadbare, but it was an OK value.

Great place to visit, lots of things to do

Our stay was amazing . We would have liked our garbage changed more but they always came when we asked . Automated doors in more areas would be helpful as I am handicapped but there was usually someone there willing to help . An on sight ATM would be helpful too as I needed American cash at times

This is a large resort. 3 pools, multiple jacuzzi's, a nice work out facility, golf course, a bar and restaurant with pretty decent food. The staff were so accommodating. They truly made my stay memorable. The rooms are clean. The beds and pillows very comfortable. And the property was in fantastic condition. I'll be staying here again.

Enjoyed ever day

Great Staff, great concept of having a hotel and casitas within an RV resort. This allowed us to have a 45+ person family reunion at the facility. Many of us did not have an RV. Quedos to Voyager!

Yes, the National Park is less than 10 miles away.

Very nice balance of RV, transient rental and permanent residence. The number of activities and groups to join was astounding. The on-site restaurant was very good. The staff was unbelievably helpful. I couldn’t think of a better place to consider a snowbird retirement.

Staff was welcoming, the property was very nice and there are many amenities. Our room was clean and comfortable. The Fat Willy’s restaurant is right on property and was a great place to eat. We had a great stay visiting friends who live at the resort.

Room wifi was spotty at best...in order to take care of daily tasks had to go outside to central area.

Parking was easy we used the laundry facilities and they were very nice.

Everything was great except the loud window AC unit. Not suggesting it needs maintenance, it’s just very loud.

The room was clean and reception was friendly and welcoming. Fat Willy’s was very crowded, I thought the service could be better there.

My only small gripe would be that the WiFi in the hotel room was weak at best and sometimes would not work. Not a huge issue by any stretch though.

Cleaning staff was very friendly and worked around our schedule. Waitresses were helpful. Nice place when visiting with family that stay at the camping section. Hotel rooms did not have internet, which is inconvenient when conducting any sort of business.

I really enjoyed this resort. The amenities were great, it was nice and quiet and private, and the room was very clean. There were a couple issues I had with the room: the hairdryer attached to the wall wasn’t working and the phone wasn’t working either. My boyfriend went to tell the office about both and no one ever came to fix them, which wasn’t a huge deal but a bit annoying. Another issue I ran into was my room fob wasn’t scanning with the front gate when I came back after hours. Luckily someone was driving up behind me, otherwise I would have had to call their security line to get in. Overall it was a great stay and I would stay again

After a week of camping, it was so nice to spend time at the Voyager Inn. The room was clean and well-equipped. Shower pressure and temperature control were excellent. The available activities, especially the Fitness Center, heated swimming pools and Pickleball play, were numerous and well enjoyed during our stay. What a plus to be within walking distance to Fat Willy’s restaurant too!

As commented in a earlier review. Arrived to find they had the dates of arrival and departure off by one day. Could have been Expedia’s fault though this was purchased as a package with airfare and all the dates are correct on the itinerary and receipt. They said you will get a room refresh after 3 days, never happened. We were there for a week. Yes could have gone to registration and asked but we were busy everyday helping elderly parents. Registration is in another building. Did stop in at registration to ask why the WiFi password wasn’t working only to be informed the WiFi hasn’t worked in some time. Not sure why they didn’t tell us when checking in. Rooms are very basic. Peope were friendly otherwise. Grounds are nice and well kept

Great location in southern Tucson!

Gated resort but easy to access if after hours if you have a previous reservation. Very friendly staff (Gary) and very organized. Property was clean, comfortable, and safe while traveling. Stayed in hotel without an RV. Great experience!

First room was really musty and I’m allergic to mold. Luckily the front gate guy was able to get us into another room.

The room was quiet and clean. The heating unit was very effective. I requested a walk in shower which was clean and ample hot water. Jody at front deask was friendly and answered all my questions and gave me directions.

This place really is nice looks like they had just rehabbed the building inside and out it's in a secure monitored RV park great amenities everything is within walking distance. Oh and a huge hot tub. Loved my stay here Saguaro NP is close by.

Safe and secure

The hotel was fine, but we never had any WiFi, even after calling about it, and 2 of the 4 treadmills were broken, and there was always a wait for them.

All the staff were very friendly and check in was quick and easy. Room was clean and comfortable and the housekeeping staff kept us well stocked with towels, coffee toiletries. The grounds were well kept and the restaurant was great as well. Will certainly stay again!

Quiet and clean. Had a nice stay

A gem in Tucson

Our room was very nice. Although a little dated mostly due to layout, it was obvious it had been recently renovated. Clean and the kitchen was stocked with everything you could need. We had a 4 night stay and expected to have the room cleaned on at least one occasion, no one ever entered the room. We had to restock our toiletries at Walmart. The only staff we saw during our time there were the employees at the front gate. We appreciated the easy check in with the gate personel handing us a packet with our room keys, car tag, and other essentials, If you expect to be pampered, you should probably look elsewhere, but for us, it was a great place to come back to after a day at the races. The on-site restaurant was very good.

Kind of in the middle of nowhere it’s a gated, secure multi-use property with RV Park, mobile homes and a hotel. We arrived at 2am and security assisted us with getting our room very quickly. Clean, comfortable, excellent staff. We were very impressed.

On the property there are loads of amenities: both an indoor and outdoor pool with a huge spa, tennis and pickleball courts, golf and more. Directly across from the hotel is "Fat Willy's" a very friendly local bar and restaurant. We were there on "Trivia" night and the bar was filled with locals who obviously make this a weekly event. The food was pretty good. Drinks were good and prices reasonable. We will definitely come back if our plans bring us to this area again. The air conditioning was okay, we didn't need much and the fan seemed to shut off after a while. Room was immaculate.

A great experience at the Voyager Resort and Hotel, easy online reservation and great rates. Was contacted by the hotel prior to arrival to notify me of a room change due to remodeling with was great. Is located inside a gated secure 55+ age resort. I called to inform them of a late arrival and was given good instructions what to do when arrived, overnight security staff met me with all the infor and key cards for the stay. Room was clean and fairly updated. Was a great experience, quiet facility, and has a pool nearby that I didnt use during our stay. Check it out!

We had a very nice stay. Able to invite my cousin and her husband to come enjoy a long conversation on the patio. Bed was very good. People were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We were only disappointted that we didn't have time to enjoy the pools.

Great find for U of A family weekend. A bit of a drive to the campus but great price and clean place. Definitely get first floor rooms since they are renovated.

The hotel is in the middle of an RV park. If you haven’t been there before, it’s hard to find. Once I was able to view the area, I felt like I had been whisked back to a Midwest retirement park. Having a store and restaurant in the middle of this community was a pleasant surprise. All in all, I enjoyed the privacy. The room was clean and quiet. The security guard was super friendly and helpful.

I've stayed at Voyager a few times and I really like it. The rooms are clean and spacious. The fitness center, pools, and spas are all very nice. People are friendly and welcoming. The restaurant and convenience store onsite are a nice addition. Close to I-10 with easy access to Tucson attractions. It's a nice hotel at a reasonable price!

Very quiet and clean. A/C was amazing....beds were comfortable.

The staff especially the security guard, very friendly, very professional. The room was very clean. It did have like a dusty smell to it but overall it was clean. I was just super bothered by the fact that the dog next-door was barking all day and all night and in the middle of the night to where I got no sleep

We booked at hotel at a resort, but when i arrive we find out it was a motel inside a trailer park. It was not close the the impression I got from hotels.com. The only service personel on site was the gard at the gate who give us a key to the rom. No reseption or no one to talk or complain to. The room was nice and clean, but we booked a mini suite, and the pictures the room on hotels.com was not close to how the rom was. In b reference to what we paid, we should have choosen a other place in Tucson. But we are lucky its low sesons so its not so crowdy as we think it will be in high seson with all theese tralier homes in here. They shoud change the pictures and their writings on hotels.com to what they actually deliver, especially if they want gests to come back.

We stay at Voyager while in Tucson because of the security, quiet clean rooms, and great food and drink at the grill.

The Voyager Resort Staff was so friendly and supportive, especially Lisa. The pools were great. We especially enjoyed their on-site restaurant & bar, Fat Willy's. Again, the staff was amazing. Food was good and the overall vibe was fun.

The stay was good for the price charged. They do not clean the rooms until you leave. They do come by every third day and empty the trash and exchange the towels. I would definitely stay there again. There are a lot amenities that we did not have the time to enjoy.

This was not a service oriented hotel, but it was very nice and the price was great. The pools are definitely the best part. The room was clean and had everything we needed.

Love staying here when visiting family in Tucson. We have been staying for winter months in RV for several years. This time stayed in hotel. Very clean and comfortable.

The property was clean, though hotel is obviously older. There weren't enough cups or coffee in the room, and there was no one available when we came back from dinner around 7:40. Mattress was most uncomfortable...we both had sore backs in the morning. Everything else was good.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Voyager hotel in the Voyager RV Resort. It was clean and quiet, out of a trafficked area with beautiful grounds. We used the well equipped fitness center and of course the hot tub after a day of softball games. We'll definitely stay here again in the future!

Cleanliness, safety, and staff all excellent. Very close to the fairground where i was participating. Stayed here last year and will stay here next time i need to.

I missed the information stating it was a 55 community and they come first. Went to visit my son, took his brother that’s 16. We’re always respectful of others but going to the pool and using the amenities was difficult because the residents take priority. I understand why but I would have looked elsewhere had I known. Too many restrictions on “guests” I wonder why they allow people to even stay there if they don’t have family living on the property.

We liked the place but we weren't aware that the WIFI system was down. We had no WIFI. We weren't aware that the office closed fairly early and luckily we got there before they closed the office. It's a very large place with a nice restaurant next to the hotel. The staff, food, and vibe at the restaurant was great. Apparently it houses RV'ers and full time mobile home residents as well as the hotel. I would go back again and check out the facilities.

Lots of nice amenities, friendly staff as well as the residents there. Only suggestion would be to move the smoking area farther from the rooms’ entrance. I was in 212 and smoke from frequent smokers was near the door and car.

This was a very nice place to stay very reasonable rates. The staff were very friendly the room very clean and the best part behind a secure gate. I will stay again when I’m back in town.

If you are a casual traveler don't stay here. It is a gated community for RV people and has a small hotel for people visiting them. I'm not sure why it is listed on Expedia.

We love Voyager. Our room was not one of the updated ones but still comfy and clean . The on-site restaurant I has great food and waitstaff.

It was 6:18 PM when I went to the office to ask about the internet. The office was closed for the day. I've never seen a major hotel fail to staff the front desk; if they do, it's usually for a limited period e.g. midnight to 6 AM. The lack of an internet connection was an annoying inconvenience.

55 Clean Friendly Restaurant Bar on premise

We checked in dark time… no one to ask for assistance… Wifi did not connect on any of our devices… no one to contact???? About this… Nice facilities but …. Lack of personal contact probably would not come back….

The staff was extremely friendly and the room was comfortable and clean.

Arrived after 8 pm. Had no idea where to go or how to check in. Gate was locked. Finally read how to contact someone to let us in. Room looked like it hadn’t been used in awhile. Very dusty and didn’t smell fresh and clean. Only had sheets on bed. Had to use a blanket, which had hair on it, which made me feel it hadn’t been washed. Stayed two nights, but only had coffee for one morning, and only enough cups and cream and sugar for one morning, so had to save used coffee cups (styrofoam), for next day. No one came in to replenish cups, cream and sugar or coffee, or to freshen up the room. Had to buy coffee, cream and sugar. Pillows were flat. Not quite worth the money to stay there.

Just what we needed for the occasion

We were not able to access WiFi in our room. Room/bathroom were very clean with the exception of vacuuming. Wallpaper board was peeling. Pleasant staff.

It was enjoyable and quiet in a gated community. No ridiculous freeway noise like almost all Hotels or Motels

We had a great stay, we plan to stay here next time we visit. The pools were great and the grounds lovely. The staff was very friendly. The wifi was a bit sketchy, didn't have much luck with it. We do however, all have matching bruises on our legs from the corners of the beds that stick out, lol, maybe think about padding those!

well done. Bathroom door & toilet space in 101 was ok for two thin people but clearly constructed wrong being too narrow for most people who are over 150#, clearly the wall was to be 2’ wider using the dead space in the bedroom

Stayed while visiting friends at Voyager. Very comfortable hotel.

We were pleased with the room. It was clean and looked as of it had recently been redone. Flooring looked new and the shower enclosure did too. It would have been nice to have had a chair to relax in. The only chair was a desk chair.

We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. It is one of the cleanest hotels we have stayed at in the past couple of years. The hotel staff were very friendly. The pool and jacuzzi area were well maintained. The restaurant on site had very good food and excellent service. Would definitely come back again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a great place to stay.

we only had 2 complaints - the room we were in was old and out dated - and we could not connect to wifi - we tried moving down to a room 2 doors down but had the same issue - so if we wanted wifi we had to go out to the common areas or the wifi room a ways from the hotel - and were not giving pool towels - we found housekeeping and she found some for us - when there is pools - hotel quests should have pool towels in the room

We were visiting family who is staying in their RV at Voyager for 3 months. It was great to be able to stay on site and enjoy the amenities with them. The hotel wifi did not work in our room (it worked in other common areas). There was a couple water issues during our stay buckets were provided we were off site exploring the area most of the day so it didn’t affect us that much. We enjoyed the pools, lounge chairs hot tubs and saunas.

Very nice hotel. Very clean and tidy. Having the restaurant on site was very convenient. The only thing that was disappointing was the beds were Double beds not Queen size. we enjoyed our short stay.

If not for this i would rate it very good.

Love the park but stayed two nights without tv or wi-fi despite alerting management but no response. Other than that-was great.

And if you’re looking for that 55+ experience, prepare yourself for a hotel of similar vintage. Older appliances, outdated layouts, loud A/C units, and fairly uncomfortable beds/bedding. Overall just a “meh” stay.

The hotel room was spare, but clean and comfortable. It was quiet. The setting was nice. Only complaint is lack of wifi service in the room. We had connectivity in the hotel lobby but neither our laptops nor phones had service on the room itself.

The staff were utterly helpful and friendly from beginning to end! Check-in was extremely easy and the hotel was easy to access. However, the property is geared to older adults and not children. Children are welcomed, but they have to wear a badge if they want to go around on the property. There’s a market and grill, a pool area, tennis courts, and other entertainment. Our room was decent, except for our bathroom door. It didn’t close properly. Overall, we had a good experience!

Upon our arrival at the property, we were faced with a water shutdown, which was a significant inconvenience. What was more disappointing was the lack of consideration for our comfort, as we were not even asked if we still wanted to stay. Despite this, the property managed to have water available on Saturday and Sunday, leaving us without basic amenities on Friday and Monday.

Only issue was that their Wi-Fi wasn't working whatsoever and that put me in several awkward positions when I needed to work or connect with family. Fix the Wi-Fi issue and it would be 10/10

One staff person at the front desk was having a bad day several days in a row. The rest of the staff were very helpful. Amenities all good. Friendly folks staying in the resort. Plan to return next year.

It is in the middle of an RV park filled with retirees, but that means it's safe and actually has a number of amenities. Really good value if you are okay with that.

We had an amazing experience and can’t wait to return. Our room was spacious and clean with a mini fridge, microwave and plenty of shelf storage. Staff was friendly and helpful. We visited the on-site restaurant, Fat Willy’s, a couple of times. I would not recommend requesting a table on a Monday night. We waited 40 mins. to be seated and then another hour to receive our food. However, the food was good, and we had much better success later in the week when we placed an order in the adjoining convenience store and took the meal back to our room. Please Note: Fat Willy’s is not affiliated with the Voyager Inn, so this comment in no way reflects negatively upon our experience with them. We appreciated the laundry facilities on-site, utilizing them twice during our stay. Although welcome, this facility is not really equipped for children, as it is a 55 and older community, which we appreciated. All the residents we came across were friendly and welcoming. If it wasn’t so hot in AZ during the summer months, we would strongly consider spending more time throughout the year here. We loved the slower, calming pace afforded us during our brief stay. We’ll definitely be back!

I should have investigated more. When it said Resort and 3 pools it was not what I was expecting. The room was equal to a clean motel 6.

Many activities to enjoy (i.e. pickle ball, swimming), lots of happy guests, gracious employees. Clean, well maintained.

I would like to say that the staff at the front desk and at the restaurant were all very kind and helpful. Check in was a breeze. The rooms were clean and well kept. For a retirement community with permanent residents that doubles as a resort destination they do a reasonable job of providing a family experience. The Bad: We were awakened from our sleep this morning by people with leaf blowers outside of our window before 8am. *Directly* outside. Not at all how I expect to start my day at a resort. Also, the only sign indicating where exit is located (the complex is pretty big) is very small and easy to miss. If you rely on GPS to help it will endlessly try to send you out a locked gate that says "not an exit." Obviously they can't do anything about GPS, but they could make the signage a bit more obvious. The Ugly: This is where it gets unpleasant. The mattressea don't fit in the bedframes. By a long shot. So the sharp wooden corners of the frames stick out at the end of the beds by where you walk through the rooms, but are covered by sheets so you don't see them. The first time I smashed my leg into the corner of the frame it drew blood. One would hope that would be the end of it, but despite my best efforts both myself and my kids caught our shins/legs/knees repeatedly throughout our stay. The rooms aren't exactly spacious, and even a thoughtful attempt at being careful often resulted in painful outcomes. I would never rent a room here again for that reason.
