Everything was great,but the bed. The beds are so hard I thought I was sleeping on the floor. It really hurt my back,so I didn't get a goodnights rest.

TV didn't work, Breakfast was terrible, someone tried to get in our room late one night until they realized they had the wrong room. Only one elevator. Other than that it was great.

The location is right off of I-75 making it convenient but not too close to the beach, it's about a 20 minute drive. The room was very quiet and spacious, the only downside is that the bed was not as firm as I would have liked, so it would sink in the middle. The breakfast was very good, there were a lot of different options such as: eggs, waffles, pancakes, fruits, cereal, toast, muffins, yogurt, etc.

This was an excellent choice! About 10-15 minutes to the beach, and right off I-75. Rooms were clean and comfortable! Staff was friendly and helpful! Parking was hassle-free.

Our initial room smelled horrible & the carpet outside the bathroom was damp/wet. The smell in the room was almost like dirty water. The toilet was extremely slow to flush. With the carpet being wet outside the bathroom, it makes sense that possibly the toilet in that room recently overflowed? If that was the case that would be terribly disgusting to put guests in that dirty room. The employee at the front desk was wonderful about our situation and took very good care of us. She was amazing, very understanding and extremely accommodating, which we very much appreciated. I don’t remember her name, but she was working late on the night of Thursday, June 4th 2026. Thank you.

We were given keys to a room that HAD ALREADY be issued to another customer. They were not in the room when we opened the door but their property was. When we questioned the manager he comped us a suite. Which looked lovely yet the couches were hard as a rock. The desk chair was broken the microwave did not work and THERE WAS NO HOT WATER. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE I would love my money BACK

The property was clean and well kept but older. Most of the employees were very professional and helpful. The lady who maintained the breakfast worked very hard. There was plenty of parking in the lot out front. The Red Grouper Tavern is just down the road and had great food. Overall a great place to stay if you are on a budget.

Room was clean, we were in the first floor but we never had any noise issue being so close to the breakfast area. Loved having a 24 hr coffee maker in the lobby! We were able to go shark tooth hunting because they had all the gear we needed!

I was so pleasantly surprised at how nice this hotel was. We had a double bed room and it was so spacious! Everything was cleaned. Floors are not carpet and that’s a huge bonus. I just wish the TVs and outlets were updated. I haven’t had to scroll the tv in a long while. There is no smart tv. And I don’t always travel with the charging block for stuff bc I’m used to hotels having portable for USB, USBC, etc. the room did not have any of that but truly those are first world problems. It was excellent.

Conveniently located off 75 and close to the beaches. Professional and friendly staff expedited my check in and my room was huge and extremely clean. Will be booking another stay here at the Venice Best Western!

Beautiful Hotel

Room was very clean, as well as all other areas. Breakfast was nicer than I thought. Eggs, bacon or sausage, potatoes, pancakes and waffles, yogurt & fruit, bagels & English muffins. Staff very friendly and attendant for breakfast very helpful and kind. Overall a great stay with ample parking. We did not use pool but that looked nice.

We had the option to upgrade to a King Suite shortly before we travelled and we took advantage of it as it was not very expensive. It turned out to be a wise decision as the room was exceptional! Basically it was 2 ordinary rooms coverted to a suite so it was huge. We had a small kitchenette with a dining table and a large living room to relax and watch TV. The bedroom was huge, the bed was huge and we were very happy with our choice. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. The only downside was that using butter from the fridge was a nightmare - some of it should be left out for those who prefer an easier spread! The only problem we had during our 3-day stay was with our shower. The spray was pretty feeble so we had to complain to reception on the first morning. To their credit they changed the shower head within 30 minutes. However, by the second morning we realised that this hadn't fixed the problem so Maintenance had to visit us again. This time it was established that the shower control had been incorrectly fitted so it had to be replaced. Unfortunately it couldn't be done before our departure so we never experienced the shower in it's full glory! But this was the only issue we had and we could still shower so no big deal.

Asked the front desk to have maintenance check the water pressure in the shower, as it was a trickle. The sink water pressure was great. No one ever got back with me and when we showered, it was nothing but a trickle of water. Shower took much longer in order to remove soap from our bodies. Very disappointed.

Only thing is that the room set up is weird. Big Open space with 2 chairs that faced a picture and the bed was so close to the ac that it was difficult to get on the bed from the ac side. You had to squeeze yourself in when the room was so big that it could have been moved closer towards the center. We stayed in a room with 2 queen beds. Other than that it was a fantastic hotel that I would definitely recommend.

Stayed for two nights & was very impressed! The staff is kind & friendly. The rooms and whole building was very clean. Breakfast was impressive each morning and loved the coffee machine at all hours. They also have fresh cookies every afternoon. It was very charming

The staff was all so friendly, greeting us every time with a smile and hello, front desk, cleaning service, breakfast, everyone. The rooms were large with plenty of room for 3 people (in our case). Just know that you must request cleaning service 24 hrs in advance. They do not clean your room unless you have requested the service.

The reason i gave a 3 star for amenities..the internet was not working and the staff for the evening was not the least bit sympathetic.

The hotel is central to everything Sarasota and they have various equipment to assists your stay such as beach chairs and umbrellas, sifting equipment for shark tooth hunting, floats, and many other things. They also have delicious cookies at night and the breakfast is delicious and fun for the kids with a waffle AND pancake maker!! People are warm and friendly and from all over the country!!

The water in the bathtub/shower would not go off. We had to call maintenance. That took about an hour and a half to fix. That made us late for our appointment.

Amazing staff, good location, easy to get to highways beaches and fun. I had a problem with the Plumbing the first night I was there. They had the plumbers in the next morning and fixed it right away.(the toilet ran after being flushed, no floods or anything like that.) I had a television problem they replaced the television in the room the next day. The staff was so accommodating and so helpful and so sweet. I’ve stayed there many times before and will continue to do so.

Staff is very nice, good location and comfortable large rooms great for families. Love that our room included a dehumidifier and the hotel has plenty of beach items for checking out. Although the pool is smaller, it was heated and had lots of seating area. If you’re seeking a budget friendly hotel, I’d recommend this one.

Did not use the pool. Indoor seating areas were comfortable and clean. The room which was a "suite" size lacked proper furniture. Needed a counter or small table near microwave. No coffee table in a big open space in front of two chairs and the beds were pushed too close to the AC and windows. Not good organization of the room. Room was clean and beds were comfortable.

Breakfast was terrific and staff there was great too. The room was large. Pillows were comfortable. One bed was comfortable but the other bed was loud. It made awful noise whenever anyone moved on it. Needs to be replaced I think.

Large room. Both beds had squeaks when you got in and out it, waking up partner. Pillows and breakfast were good. A variety of foods. Woman running it should put out food faster after food is depleted. Lots of people there and empty shelves. She needs to wear gloves, put her hand in trash and then touched food. Floors in lobby and on second floor need cleaning, dirt spots. Free parking and free cookies at desk. The hotel is close to downtown with shops, restaurants, beach. Close to Sarasota. Cracker Barrel is on the same street as hotel. The shower head in the bathroom needs to be replaced. It has low pressure. Tried to change the setting on shower head but it is not working. The toilet paper holder is behind the toilet which makes it hard to reach should be to the side of the toilet. They have an extra toilet paper in the bathroom, should consider leaving an extra facial tissue. These always seem to run out when I arrive at a hotel and we have to go down and ask for one. Plenty of towels. The elevator was very slow. It was faster to walk up the stairs than to wait for the elevator. On the side of the elevator door arrow does not light up. Would be nice to see if elevator is going up or down. Should have quiet time from 10 pm to 8 am. Across from us, loud talking slamming doors, even a scream 10 to almost 2 am. Next door to us person had his adjoining door opened, saw light under door, put towels down to block light. Laundry room needs credit card to use.

The room was very clean, spacious, good strong shower, and a very comfortable firm but not hard bed. Complimentary breakfast was okay but nothing to write home about. Staff were nice, friendly, and helpful. Hotel was quiet with good insulation between rooms. Good bang for your buck. Downtown Venice is about a 10-15 drive.

Our room was very clean. I’m not sure why it had two dehumidifiers? The room has a slight odor and the two sofa bed couches were very uncomfortable to sit on. The breakfast was very good. The remote in the bedroom didn’t work and didn’t get resolved. Also, the wifi had poor reception and I was unable to hook up the Roku to the internet.

I was extremely disappointed because all the time I was there I barely had internet connection, I had to use my hotspot from my phone. One nightI had to leave the hotel and go to a different hotel due to workload backlog. I was there in relation to work, school and fun, internet was crucial for me and not luxury. I reported but nothing was done other than a number that I called but no help at all. On my last day house keeping came knocking my room 8:30am and 9am to an extent someone opened my room. Like seriously? I thought check out is 11. Totally frustrating. When I reported to front desk, the much I response was “I think it’s housekeeping” and she walked away. I have been to many branches but this got me thinking…..

After having to deal with the trouble with Golden Host Resort, it was the spur of the moment reservation with Best Western Plus, I was very pleased with the cleanliness and quality service! The water pressure in our room was horrible and made showering nearly impossible. The sheets were scratchy and not comfortable at all. Breakfast options were extremely limited and quality was poor. The waffles were decent, but nothing else was good. The staff were friendly and the hotel was clean.

I only had one issue at check-in that I thought unusual, They take a $50 deposit in case you cause damage. I honestly have never had that happen before.

Beds are a little too soft. I appreciated having my room actually on the parking lot side as it is quieter than on the East side facing freeway. it gets noisy. Check in easy and friendly. I didn't eat the breakfast this stay but grabbed hot water for tea. Pool was clean and pleasant at 6 pm on a Saturday evening. Parking easy and well-lit.

We were pleasantly surprised at the size of the room, which is great for a family. It was clean & comfortable & offered a microwave & refrigerator. We were there for a horse show & plan on using this hotel for all our future competitions. The price was equivalent with the surrounding hotels, which we have stayed at, and found the Best Western to be the best one for that price point. We recommend to anyone needing to stay in Venice.

Nice clean quiet and comfortable 4 night stay. Good, good breakfast with varying menu included and hard working ladies keeping things neat and clean. Lattes, cappachinos are complimatry and available all day.

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. We however, experienced several inconvenient and unfortunate events during our stay that left me not overall happy with the hotel. Our first night shortly after checking in and getting unpacked, we discovered that the toilet was broken. Since it was already evening time and maintenance was already gone we had we ended up switching rooms. The second room was not as nearly as nice as the original room so we switched once again. The third room was nice however we had absolutely no water pressure in the shower. It was like trickling out. maintenance came the next day and switched the shower head for us, which left us with better water pressure. Every night when we returned, our room key was deactivated and one of us had to go down to the lobby and get our key reactivated after a long day being at the beach and out with family. You can imagine how frustrating and annoying that was.

There are a few small issues that need improvement: we asked for fresh towels on the second day, but they were never delivered. There was no shower curtain in the bathroom, and the sink drained slowly. Still, these things didn’t ruin our stay — overall, everything was great.

Nice step in shower. The pool is very small. The refrigerator and microwave were kind of old looking but worked well.

Staff was really friendly and area was clean and quiet. My only recommendation would be to not have the a/c do close to the bed.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The room was spotless and breakfast hot & delicious every morning.

Everything was lovely and happy to have espresso available! Clean rooms, nice pool, free to use beach toys, free breakfast, everything was great! 30 min to Sarasota beach.

One night stay to go to Venice Beach. The hotel is less than a 10 minute drive over a small drawbridge and through beautiful downtown Venice.

Beds and pillows very comfortable. First room with no hot water. Staff very accommodating to change rooms! Would stay here again

Very nice place overall. Clean, well taken care of facility. The Continental style breakfast is one of the better ones I’ve been to.

If this property would clean the carpet in all of the rooms and provide flexible hours for the shuttle bus, we would stay there again because of the great Stuff members, the cleanliness of the common areas, and the breakfast was delicious.
