At this rate, would be nice to have lotion among toiletries and a freezer inside the fridge. Despite of the sign, people were smoking weed on neighboring balconies.

The room was clean and larger than average. We had a pull out couch in addition to our 2 Queens, which was so helpful. With an almost adult son and daughter, we could all have our own sleeping space. The bathroom vanity could have been a little bigger but there was a nice shelf below for more space. The staff was universally nice, whether at the front desk, the valets, or the housekeepers. The full FREE breakfast was great. They even had healthier options every day like turkey bacon or chicken sausage, and fresh fruit. Only complaint would be about the pools. Specifically picked a place with both an outdoor and indoor pool. They were on the first level, so at the outdoor pool, the sun was sometimes blocked by buildings; an issue on cooler days. Rooftop pool would have been better, but they did have a lovely rooftop patio. The indoor pool was barely bigger than a hot tub, with a max capacity of three. But not overly crowded in early June, so still enjoyable. The ocean front balcony was great and hotel is right on the boardwalk. But FYI to newcomers to Va Beach: There are no shops on the boardwalk. We were used to the hustle and bustle of Ocean City, MD boardwalk, so if expecting that, you'll be disappointed. All in all a good stay!

Cleanliness, nice sized rooms Would have been nice if they had a restaurant. Front desk staff was not friendly. Second day there, woman at front desk wouldn’t look to acknowledge I had a question and just wasn’t friendly- felt like I was disturbing her or she didn’t want to help.

We very much enjoyed our stay. Easy access to beach. Clean rooms, property well maintained. Tamara and Ty at breakfast were so accommodating at replenishing food. Just a suggestion. Just a suggestion perhaps posting a sign letting guests know to pick up after themselves. Again overall a fantastic experience

Wonderful stay, staff very accommodating especially the Valet staff, particularly Bobby and his valet team for above and beyond great service. The breakfast each morning was wonderful. Very clean and spacious oceanfront room. Only minor issue is the mattresses in our room seemed worn in the middle in an odd way, but we still got sleep it was just odd to get in and out of the beds. Will definitely stay again hopefully next year!

The ocean view from the hotel was beautiful and made our visit even more relaxing. We also enjoyed the swimming pool, which was clean, well-maintained, and perfect for families. Overall, the combination of excellent customer service, clean accommodations, great amenities, and the stunning beachfront location made this a memorable stay. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend Hyatt Place Virginia Beach to anyone visiting the area.

I arrived and had to wait in room for 3 hours Waiting for them to fix the shower , then the toilet was leaking and refrigerator, but after they fixed was great but they need to work on there services cause I had to keep calling for them to clean the room..

We really liked the location, we were steps from the oceanfront. The staff was very professional and helpful. The breakfast was really good with a nice variety of choices for all. The valet service was a nice touch, well worth the $15/day as parking can be challenging this time of year. We had a very pleasant stay.

Not necessarily negative thing, but the continental breakfast could use a little freshening up everything was pretty good for the most part but having turkey bacon and Canadian/bacon instead of real bacon was a real bummer in my opinion at least put real bacon back on the menu as well as maybe some steak tips and tater tots instead of big square hashbrowns most of the potatoes were hard and dry other than that breakfast was pretty good overall. We wish this hotel was closer to Ocean Eddie’s because we love the restaurant on the pier, but we found other places like mellow mushroom that were excellent within very close walking distance. We will definitely come again, but if you could spruce up your breakfast, that would be awesome Moor protein options

What really made this stay stand out was the staff. Sabrina and Amanda were both absolutely wonderful. They were friendly, welcoming, and incredibly helpful throughout our visit. They truly made the hotel feel like a home away from home. Breakfast each morning was exceptional with plenty of great options, and the valet parking was very convenient. Valet is required and costs $15 per night, which we found very reasonable for the location and ease. Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations. Clean, comfortable, welcoming, and perfectly located — highly recommend!

This hotel was a nice stay. Valet made parking simple for us. Hotel staff was for the most part, kind and patient. They let us have an early check in if we switched room type. Breakfast stood out to us, Tana, the breakfast manager was amazing. She kept a clean space and offered great food. There’s many options and it was something different daily. The hotel is in a quiet part of the beach, not touristy. Housekeeping did a good job, our room was clean upon check in and they tidy up for you daily, if requested. We also thought $15 for parking per night, and $30 per night incidental was reasonable. There was a housekeeper who walked in without knocking, then slammed the door shut with my sleeping infant in the room, not a crazy big deal to us, but could be to someone else. It’s a bit of a walk if you want to go to the bigger/better shops. We don’t have any complaints. We would recommend this stay on the oceanfront.

We stayed on the 13th floor (penthouse). The balcony views of the beach were great. Watched the sunrise two mornings. The free breakfast buffet was great, we ate there every morning with eggs, sausage, yogurt, fruit, oatmeal, juice and coffee with Stevia (yay!). The boardwalk is just out the back door. Within walking distance to restaurants and shopping.

Good breakfast. Valet is through your phone app make sure you ask for the car with ample time. It rained the whole time I was there did not use the pool. It is beach front which is a plus.

The smell is luxurious when entering, staff was friendly, helpful, and quick to meeting all our needs. Indoor pool is very small 3 people makes- so don’t rely on that for bad weather. Front desk, also does the bar which serves takes a bit. All in all great stay and would stay again

Breakfast is included and provides a good selection of hot and cold food. The room was very spacious and spotlessly clean with a great view of the beach. The front desk staff were terrific and the manger was very kind and helpful. Highly recommended.

I said something and the next day the same thing was done. Separating the meat defeats the purpose if you use the same utensil to serve it. The lady was nice enough to get me the turkey bacon from the kitchen however that shouldn’t be an issue it’s 2026 not everyone wanted contaminated servings

Fridge in room did not work so food brought because of certain food allergies could not be used, and any leftovers from nearby restaurants had to be thrown away. Door to the room was incredibly heavy and hurt to open/close it

We thought that we booked a ocean view room but that was not the case, some time later I returned to the front desk and explained the situation to Hannah and she was able to accommodate us, thanks to Hannah we had a beautiful weekend! Thank you to the attentive and friendly staff, our stay at the Hyatt was truly memorable. We will be back!!!

10/10 experience. It todays world we live in where we are told every day, sorry for any delay and lack of service due to staffing shortages the Hyatt Place in VA beach disputes that. They are fully staffed and made it feel like a “Chick-fil-A” experience.From check in, valets, room service / housekeeping, breakfast and check out. The staff and hotel is the best value and experience in VA beach. We will definitely return.

Loved staying at this hotel! Beautiful beach-front views from our room - even watched the sunrise a couple days! Great little patio with two chairs and a table with sliding glass door off the room got used a lot. Wonderful free breakfast (the potatoes were so good!) had pretty much anything you could want. Helpful and friendly staff. We visited in mid-May – still a bit chilly (50's-60's), but very quiet and peaceful pretty much everywhere we went.

Our room was 5 star. Room smelled very clean upon entering and was spotless. Beautiful views and the elevators were very responsive. Breakfast was very good with nice selection! Only complaint was the valet parking. Having to wait for our vehicle when we were ready to leave or sitting in the street waiting to be able to pull in wasnt what we were expecting.

Beds were comfortable. Bar area was good. No beach chairs or towels. Hotel cost too much to not be accommodating for the beach other than walking to it. Mediocre stay at best. The balcony was incredible except when other occupants were smoking cigarettes and pot. When the air conditioner turned on all you smelled was pot in the room. Maybe ok for some or most but I was not happy. There is a reason no smoking signs are present but majority don’t follow. Very upsetting we couldn’t enjoy the balcony no matter what time of day.

Everything about the property is beautiful, the staff was wonderful just being able to walk out of the hotel and be on the beach was a wonderful experience.

Its a bit expensive paying $15 dollars a day. You can go in and out as you please but if your kind like family each time a tip was given. Would i stay here again absolutely just parking and food was better.

The best thing about this stay was the breakfast staff! Those ladies were so kind, attentive and warm. They were the epitome of what hospitality should look like and feel like.

This is my husband and I second stay here at this hotel. We stayed here back in 2023 for my husband's birthday and this time for our anniversary. From start to finish our stay was great the check in process with Hannah went very smooth. Hannah was very accommodating even helping us get the room we asked for. The room was spacious, CLEAN and the balcony oceanfront view was breath-taking. The front desk, house men/ housekeeping staff were very nice, professional, and accommodating as well. I also like the new feature of how to request your car I never waited a full 15 minutes for my car. Another feature I liked about this hotel as well was food deliveries had to meet you at the front as a security measure. Only had 2 dislikes and they were the pillows weren't firm enough for my liking and the breakfast wasn't that great even though it was complimentary. The location of the hotel is in close proximity to local eateries and shops. Overall my husband and I enjoyed our stay as much as we could due to unforseen circumstances and will definitely revisit in the near future this year.

I got insurance in case I had to cancel unfortunately I had to cancel due to an illness. The insurance will not reimburse me. The hotel would not reimburse me and neither with the hotel if this hotel thinks I’m gonna give them a good rate. They are crazy.

The only thing that I didn’t like was that there wasn’t any regular coffee in the room, only decaf. We went to the front desk and they couldn’t locate any.

Newer hotel. Modern. However during our 4 day 3 night stay we did not get housekeeping at all. Our garbage was overflowing and the room wasn't fully stocked. Only 1 mug, a bar of soap. Had to go to front desk to get body lotion and a shower cap Breakfast was okay. If you wanted a cup of coffee during the day you had to pay for it. Unreal! Also valet parking so beware. I was supposed to get a checkout receipt emailed to me. Didn't. I called 3 times to get a receipt but none has ever arrived. Good location on the beach Overpriced for the service.

The location and the view from the room were amazing. The staff were friendly and attentive. The valet car service was slow though, so if you need your car be ready to wait at least 30 min.

This was my first time staying at one of these properties and I couldn’t have been more pleased. The room was clean and spacious for the 5 of us with an amazing oceanfront view. The breakfast buffet was top tier. Everything was fresh, organized and the staff was super helpful and accommodating.

Valet parking was also a standout—quick, efficient, and very convenient. The only area that could use improvement is the breakfast. While it was decent, the variety and overall presentation could definitely be enhanced to better match the quality of the rest of the hotel experience. Overall, I would still recommend this hotel and would gladly stay here again.

From check-in on Sunday, March 29, everything was seamless. The front desk associate was incredibly welcoming, checked us in quickly, and placed us on the 12th floor with a beautiful oceanfront view. The facility was clean, the atmosphere was relaxing, and the staff consistently went above and beyond. A special shoutout to Samantha at the front desk, who we saw daily, she was always warm and accommodating. Susan was amazing as well. The entire team, including valet, made us feel right at home throughout our stay. The only downside was the breakfast, it was quite bland with limited options. Other than that, everything exceeded expectations. I even tried to extend my stay by an extra night, but unfortunately, they were fully booked which says a lot. Overall, I truly loved my stay and can’t wait to come back again.

We will continue to book here for spring break. It’s a great location, we don’t usually eat breakfast but our guests on the previous trip have said the selection is good. All in all a great stay.

Did not need to utilize business equipment, so can’t comment on it. Gym was functional, but small. I was the only one using the gym, so it was fine; but, if more than one person needed to use the weights, it would’ve been congested. Three people using weights may not have worked.

The hotel is quite nice and oceanfront. The breakfast was good, and the staff were quite attentive. The only downfall (and it is significant) is the parking. It’s valet only and not uncommon to wait 30-40 minutes for your car.

Hotel was wonderful! Allows dogs which was very helpful for us. Oceanfront rooms are all glass with balcony and right on the ocean. Boardwalk is right out front and 3 miles long. Great breakfast buffet with both hot and cold items. Lots of bars, restaurants within walking distance. Aquarium was only 10 min away. Great spot for a beach vacation.

The room had clear maintenance issues: the entrance door slammed shut instead of closing properly, and the key card scanner cover fell off on day two. Checkout was also poorly handled due to a system failure, with no receipt provided at the time. Overall, the condition of the room and the lack of service made this a very poor and frustrating stay for a family with small children.

The room was ok but the thermostat was broken and kept going off despite being set on fan/high and not auto.

Breakfast was inedible, many things in the room were broken. Bathroom light would time out while you were in the shower leaving you in a pitch black wet unfamiliar room. Even in the off season the valet delays were unacceptable to the point we would walk in 25’ temps vs asking for the car. We would never ever stay there again or recommend it.

Our room was connecting with another family and we woke up one morning to somebody trying to open connecting door alongside this with loud dogs barking in the adjacent room wasn’t a great experience. The fan in our room was exceptionally noisy. Food for breakfast could have been better choices but I understand that this might change as we were there out of season.

They said valet parking was compulsory for the car park. I had to park my motorbike myself in an open area one block away and walk back to the hotel. I'll leave my motorbike in an open area with no security and pay the valet fee.

Had 2-4 barking dogs in the room across from me. Alerted the maid and the front desk with no success. Had to endure the barking dogs for my entire stay as I exited my room and while inside my room. I was extremely disappointed that hotel management did not intervene.

This is our second year staying with the Hyatt Place. & it’s always been an amazing experience. The staff is so so nice, they only charge a $30 deposit instead of $100 like usual hotels, vallet is so efficient, the view is stunning, rooms are always clean, mini pool is so cute & it’s heated!! Free breakfast is great, but the one negative thing I will say is the breakfast is not good. They need to step it up in the kitchen because everything tastes stale & the people trained to work the front desk are not trained to make Starbucks, other than that this hotel is perfect. We will continue to stay here & pray the breakfast & baristas get better ! lol

Has to have all feather bedding removed from the room. House keeping was very nice about it . Wonderful shower and large bathroom. Nice balcony. Did not like the room coffee maker. The pool was a joke ! It wasn’t big enough for a toddler to swim in.

I booked this trip to attend a concert with my daughter. In trying to confirm my reservation yesterday it was IMPOSSIBLE to get a human on the phone. After several calls we called the new reservation line and that person was not able to look at confirmed reservations???Really. Ended up staying at another hotel. Very poor customer service. At 11:30pm someone called to ask if I was still coming- NO!

Everything was fine. Only comment, for breakfast…turkey bacon came out very undercooked; not crispy/fully cooked. Breakfast, overall, was good and plentiful.

Everything and every staff member I encountered was top notch….except for the beds! The most uncomfortable mattress I think I have ever slept on at a nicer hotel. I’ve slept on better in motels along the 95 corridor but don’t let that stop you from staying at Hyatt Place ESPECIALLY if you get a corner oceanfront room. Sleeping with the balcony door open the last 2 nights listening to the waves was the most peaceful and serene nights I’ve had in many years (I live in northern Va where there isn’t peace or serenity). 10/10 would recommend. While down here if a waiter/waitress recommends a dish at a restaurant DO NOT GET IT bc each time I followed it was the worst version of what I ordered.

This hotel is great. They really work hard to keep it clean. The staff including the valet, maids, front desk staff, and breakfast crew were all kind and worked hard at their jobs. The property is very nice and in a great location. My only wish is to have someone care for the plants on the tenth floor balcony! I love plants and they needed love.

This was our 1st visit to Virginia Beach. I enjoyed the Hyatt Place. However, my wife was a little disappointed with our room. We reserved a higher room, oceanfront king but our room was not on a higher room. Also, we were shocked that no water was provided in our. The amenities were much different from the other Hyatt Place we have stayed before. The only nice thing about our room was our view of the ocean. The staff was friendly. This was one of our least Hyatt Place. Also, we put a note that we were celebrating our Anniversary and nothing was placed in our acknowledging our celebration.

Family overnight at the beach and our stay was incredible. $11 for valet, cheaper than any parking garage. Fast check in, super clean hot, wonder scent throughout. Room was beautiful and clean, perfect beach view! Continental breakfast was delicious, large variety and well stocked. The staff was friendly. While the pools were small they weren’t crowded, we were the only ones in there and my kids loved that it was heated. Great gym with free ear buds. Water bottle fill station is in the inside pool area which was a win! Fantastic stay, highly recommend.

First room had a stain on mattress. Moved to second room and the bathroom smelled like mold. I just kept the door closed and balcony door open but not a hotel I would recommend. Also the valet system is a little bit crazy.

The location is great and the hotel room was beautiful. We upgraded to a one bedroom ocean view suite and it was well worth it. Very clean and the buffet breakfast was a plus with different options offered each day.

The valet parking? Excellent and unexpected. Never experienced that before. Super convenient. Staff? Friendly and welcoming Room? Looks just as good as the pictures. Beautiful view overlooking the city. Right on the beach and walking distance to many places. Then there's the breakfast buffet... maybe I caught them on a bad day but after eating and checking out my guts didnt feel right. Not sick, just uncomfortable and gassy. Later that night and the next day were frequent trips to #2. Only thing out I consumed out of the ordinary was their breakfast. My advice? Stay away from the powdered eggs. They were tasty and reminded my of the dining faculty but I definitely paid the price. Stale, soggy eggo waffles. For what they're charging there should be a chef there making everything fresh.

We have stayed in numerous hotels each year along the beach, we gave the Hyatt a chance and unfortunately it was a complete disappointment especially considering the price they charge is on the higher end. The pools were extremely small, the “bar” did not even have a bartender, it was whoever was at the front desk at the time, I was charged 18 dollars for a cocktail that a woman who had no clue what she was doing ,reading out of a book on how to make the drink, needless to say it was horrible! Ordered a simple sandwich and that took 45 mins to receive. This hotel had absolutely no amenities other hotels in the area offer, no restaurant, no bar, the prices were insanely over priced. I had really high hopes for this hotel for my family and it was just regret! It’s an over price over rated hotel! You will have a better time especially with family at many other places and for a fraction of the price,there’s absolutely nothing special about this hotel, very basic and boring

Our stay was nice. Breakfast was average. Had options for everyone, but it was basic. Parking was convenient, property was nothing to desire rooftop terrace is also very basic looks very different from the pictures. Room was clean. Beds were very comfortable.

Every staff member was very kind and helpful. They were always available to answer questions and referred us to great restaurants and places to visit in the area. The room was perfect. It included a large and comfortable couch which made it feel like we had an extra room and the ocean view from the balcony was just what my wife and I needed for a relaxing week-long vacation. Last, but not least, we have a dog who's a cancer survivor, and everyone was so sweet with her.

The property is in a great location, the staff is attentive and always helpful - no matter what time of day or night, great breakfast, can rent chairs and umbrellas on beach, you can valet one car per room and the best part is you can bring your dog. There were multiple dogs during our stay so was able to get my dog fix. Also, excellent for families.

Location and service were all great. Rooms were clean and even though the pool was small it was great to cool off. I liked how the AC was new and quiet. Ocean view was beautiful. I had doubts about valet parking but it was worth it.

We experienced housekeeping problems every single day across both rooms. One day, they failed to sweep one of the rooms, replace towels, or empty the garbage. This is a beach hotel, so keeping rooms clean is especially important. My mother’s bed still had sand in it from the previous day, and when we called the front desk for assistance, they rarely answered the phone. The shower in my room also had visible mold. I took a photo and reported it, letting them know this was unacceptable—if I do not tolerate mold in my own home, I should not have to see it in a hotel room that cost nearly $2,000 for our stay. Save yourself the frustration and spend a little extra to stay at the four-star Marriott Oceanfront down the road. This was my first—and last—stay at a Hyatt.
