Location is great The owner is a cheapskate that doesn't car about doing maintenance. When I got there I only had cold water they said they had turn it on. Still didn't have hot water. Only one elevator works and it seems like it will malfunction every ride.

My friend and I last minute wanted to stay the night at the beach and found this hotel for a decent price. Once getting there the rooms space was very nice and big but we had no body towels yet had for many hand towels, had no shampoo but two conditioners, it was very hard to find the room, and the mirrors were dirty along with a sticky substance on the night stand. They also had this very old and useless fan blowing on us alone with the lack of AC. For a last minute stay was not bad but I most certainly did not want the room to feel as icky as it did.

the location of the hotel was the only thing that was nice. numerous calls to the front desk. broken toilet. sink clogged. only 1 towel in the room upon check in. housekeeping came in the room while we were at the beach. they picked up dirty towels. left without refilling toilet paper. ice machines broken, resulting in us having to cross the street to enter the main hotel building and going to the 6th floor for ice.

Location was ok but I didn’t love having to cross the street after leaving the beach, as I thought I was booking a beachfront hotel. The two properties having the same name was confusing. So dirty, garbage and dirty towels left out on the balcony, roaches outside walking up to our room and INSIDE room. Smelled like mold, room wasn’t ready for a half hour after I checked in so we didn’t get into our room until 5pm.

A place to sleep Close to the beach. Outdoor pool was closed the entire stay. bug on night stand when we walked in, waiting an hour or longer for towels. Cleaning staff was weird and barely spoke english. When asking for a refund or partial the girl huffed and walked back to the office.

Everything was within walking distance Parking was a mess, we called before booking and asked if we could fit a pick up into the lot once we got there found that there was only select few spots where a pick up could be parked. Also there were vehicles that were blocking main roads just to park. The lock on the door was hit or miss if it worked.

The cleanliness of the room. The room had a musty, old smell even after lysol was sprayed, the odor would not go away. The walls had cracks in it and other defects, etc. The bed was small ,I was hoping and praying that it was absent of bed bugs. The front staff at desk were nice but I would not stay at the Ramada at Wyndham hotel in Virginia Beach, Va again.

Horrible experience out dated, horrible mildew, cat pee like smell in hallway leading to room. Scent was so strong had to cover nose/mouth so I wouldn’t gag. Also, the hallway was a 100 degrees. Air conditioner is LOUD!!! Couldn’t run at night as it would kick on and wake me up from loud noise to start and still would be loud. Beds are hard as bricks I slept a total of 6 hours in 2 nights. Blood on the bathroom door. Sliding glass door was so filthy couldn’t see out the glass. Smell in room, I didn’t think to check A/C filter but I’m sure it’s filthy. Air quality seems hazardous in room and hallway. I don’t feel well since leaving there feel like I’m having respiratory issues. What an embarrassment to the Wyndham brand never will stay there or recommend ever. The best place of this building is the Mexican restaurant. Very disappointed!!! The person that checked me in was very friendly. I feel bad for the employees and guest that have to work there. How can you take pride while working there. I challenge the CEO of Wyndham to stay in my room! Pictures on website are deceiving.

Let me start by the broken latch lock on the door, there was evidence that the door had been pryed open previously, the leg on the table fell off when we slid it against the door for protection. There was a hair in the sink, there was hair in the tub, and the tub was filthy(hint: a little bleach goes a long way). The freezer to the mini fridge was packed with inches of ice and frost. the non smoking room reeked of stale cigarette smoke. Our room was right next to some type of generator, which went off all night loing! Worst $250 I ever spent. there is a reason I stay at the Hilton Brands. Will never stay a Ramada again!

We were across the street from the board walk a two minute walk to the beach . There are plenty of food option with in walking distance! The area felt very safe, I have always felt that and we have been visiting for many years

We arrived to check in a little after 5pm and as stated in other reviews, our room wasn’t ready even though it was after the 4pm check in time. After several minutes of back and forth, the staff upgraded us to a “suite” (small kitchenette, two bathrooms and bedroom separated from the main room). The entire building was old and not very well maintained. The a/c worked well and the beds were comfortable but the noise from the parking garage adjacent to our room was noisy with loud music until well after 1am. Won’t stay there again, but then again, we’re locals and don’t go to the oceanfront more than once a year.

SAFETY -No response to my 3 emails about early check in request. -Requested late check out during pre-check in, which front desk didn’t have on file. I requested in person at that point, was told I was all set, but double checked day prior to check out and was told they didn’t have the request. -Locked out of my room after normal check out time even though I had late check out. -Check in time heavily unorganized,lobby over crowded, process too slow. -Check in time 4pm, my room wasn’t cleaned snd ready until 5:45pm. -They forgot to complete my check it (sign paperwork, remaining fees, deposit charge). This was done at check out. -Fruit flys in room, Mildew smell in room, What looked like mold on ceiling, ceiling peeling and falling off during stay. -Sharp metal on carpet transition strip and random sharp spots throughout carpet. -Received text practically begging to tip house keeping staff when they would come on 3rd day, housekeeping never came. -No dish soap/sponge, utensils, ect provided for wet bar. Hairdryer missing. -Was given replacement key by just giving my room number and no type of confirmation of who I was.

I liked the location and the accommodations were ok staff helpful.I needed a hair dryer because it was my daughters wedding and called buy I ended up ocean breeze drying my hair. I did not like my one daughter's room a couple doors down from us that had a water leak from something and the carpet was wet, smell not good. There was also damage at the base of the shower. My daughter and her husband could not wait to get out.

There was no daily cleaning to speak of, and getting fresh towels or washcloths felt like pulling teeth – we had to trek to the main building to beg for them. The promised recreational facilities were equally frustrating. The indoor pool was inexplicably closed, the ice machine was broken, and the outdoor pool, to add insult to injury, shut down absurdly early at 8 PM. To top it all off, even fundamental plumbing was a problem. The shower offered a pathetic trickle of water, and the bathtub drained at a snail's pace. This stay was a comprehensive disappointment

Never made it into town due to weather delays. Ramada would not budge on their cancelation policy and I ended up paying for a room that I was unable to use. However when I did get into town the following day I discovered that the pictures posted on hotels.com are actually of the Ramada hotel across the street, taken from this property which is actually a gross old motel. Look elsewhere

There was a nasty mildew/stagnant odor to the room. When checking into the room there were no towels available, only 2 dirty ones hanging on the door from the previous occupant(which made me question how clean the room was). When asked for some towels we get about 8 small foot towels. When asked again they were brought the next day and just thrown onto the bed. Ice machine was broke, had to go across the street then to the 2nd floor for ice at their other location. Don’t bother with the laundry services. The washer was fine but the dryer, even after 2 hours the clothes still weren’t dry.

I did not like the fact that i had to buy cleaning products to clean the room when we checked in. I paid over $700 for a suite for 3 nights and one of the beds had dirty linen still on it but it was made up. Neither one of the bathtubs i wouldnt have put my dog in before i cleaned them. When i wiped the counter and table tops the rag was brown after each one. There were crumbs, sand and dirt all over the carpets and we had to ask staff several times before they actually came to vaccum. The 3rd day we were there housekeeping never came by our room never picked up our dirty towels and wash cloths never picked up our trash nor brought us clean towels , wash cloths , toliet paper, nor trash bags. We called front desk several times that day asking for them ams was told they wpuld be bringing them. 7:00pm i called once more to the front desk and was told "it was nothing they could do because everyone has went home for the night. So we had no clean towels to shower after being at the beach all day and we had trashpiled up as well as NO TOLIET PAPER IN OUR ROOM AT ALL with 3 kids and 2 adults. It was completely ridiculous and i am very unsatisfied as well as angry that i wasted all of that money. Someone needs to contact me about this matter because it was supposedly no manager or owner there today when i asked to speak with someone before i checked out this mornimg.

A terrible place to stay. They bought a motel and converted it into a hotel. Rusty stair rails and furniture have scratches and dents from thrift stores that I would not use for my house. I upgraded to a studio and the bedroom AC was not working, the toilet tissue holder was broken and there was no fan in one of the bathrooms. This is the worst thing I have experienced. Never ever i would come back to this place.

Do not recommend Ramada at 2810 Atlantic Ave - rooms are well worn, HVAC not effective - room temp was 83 degrees, mini fridge was frozen, room switches for lights did not work. Rate way too high for pre-season with these conditions.

Upon arriving, the outside of the hotel looked great. Once checked in, we were told our room was across the street attached to an unkept parking garage. Our room was not easily accessible and we had to travel up flights of stairs even after using the elevator which wasn’t the end of the world but it was inconvenient as we didn’t know this was going to be the layout of the hotel and difficult traveling with two small children and all of our belongings. During our first use of the shower, it backed up and wouldn’t drain for several minutes. On our second day, we lost all hot water. Not wanting to have to move rooms, we just dealt with it because we were heading home soon. The fridge was not cold so we were unable to put anything in it to store. Outside of our room, the walkways, parking garage, and surrounding areas were littered with trash during our entire stay (chicken bones, used rags, food wrappers, bottles, cans, etc). The parking garage also had a lot of broken glass from what looked like a vehicle being hit. For two days, there was a pipe for marijuana outside of our door. It was finally picked up on day three of our stay. Overall, there was much to be desired and we would likely not stay here again.

booked for a work trip upon check-in the first room had numerous issues with the heat. Upon calling the front desk and maintenance coming the issue failed to get resolved going into 11:30 PM in the evening and as a result was moved to another room. Second room had issues with the TV which ultimately led me to be switched to a third room that again had issues with the heat. This ultimately ended up in me staying at an adjacent hotel for one evening and then having to check in and out of different hotels, very bad experience.

Rude staff, room not ready, waited outside the room for over 30 minutes while the staff prepared the room, toilet paper holder was broken, bathroom door handle broken even though we saw a maintenance person walk in holding a handle but actually did not replaced it nor fixed, at 10:53pm when we were already sleeping because we had the half marathon the next morning, maintenance knocked on door and scared us and woke us up. We couldn’t fall back sleep and it was awful. Bathtub doesn’t drain properly.

The room we were placed in had bed bugs that bit my daughter up terribly. The staff was accommodating and refunded our stay and placed us in a new room free of charge. I wasn’t expecting much due to the price besides somewhere to lay our heads but the rooms had a smell to them and the bathroom showers wouldn’t drain properly. This seems to be an older hotel that hasn’t been updated yet, which is fine but we were not expecting bugs. Be careful booking this hotel because you may end up sleeping with unexpected guests.

This place looks absolutely nothing like the pictures Just no upkeep at all Stair handrails had sharp rust all over them so you couldn’t hold on while you walked down the cracking cement steps I really can’t believe Wyndham would allow their name on this place. We had to pay an additional resort fee upon arrival but this is absolutely no resort I am hoping I get a call from Expedia to discuss. This place was terrible and needs to be closed for renovations

Beds were rock hard Indoor pool air was like a thousand degrees Arcade smelled like an electrical fire was about to start. Only decaf coffee packets in the room The room smelled terrible upon arrival The entire motel smelled like pot constantly The pool hours were closing at 8:00 but certain families had privileges to stay in the pool well past 10:00. When my family tried to go in the pool as well they were told to get out. This was multiple nights. Pros: Clean outdoor pool Location to the beach This was the worst trip I’ve ever been on. I will not be returning. These rooms should cost 60.00 a night for what it was.

staff was great. cable didnt work at first but one call to the front office and they sent some one over right away. pool was perfect. plenty of parking and so close to the beach. we will definitely be coming back

The thermostat was on 75 all night it did not cool down at all. We were put accross the street not on the beach it was loud and noisy all night. Check in eas terrible it took 45 minutes and we charged an additional fee for access . It was terrible

Next, it was basically... a cheap (in quality but not price) motel. Room smelled faintly of cigarette smoke. Dingy carpets. Cheap soap (Dove, the worst). Broken coffee maker. Third, service was no good. Attendant showed up at our room, wrongly, to deliver someone water, and didn't know their actual room number. We asked for more coffee pods since our room wasn't cleaned during the day, but it never arrived. The only positive here is the location, a block off the beach. But since dozens of other hotels can make the same claim... stay far away from this one!

Sigh. It was just a place to stay. You get what you pay for. This is a motel, not a hotel. Things have changed. I hadn't traveled in years, and I expected more. I booked a room here because of the name Ramada by Wyndham, and I was expecting the quality and service attached to that name. At least the A/C worked and there was hot water for bathing. The coffee maker and fridge worked. If you want better quality and service, you will have to pay $400 + a night elsewhere.

Prix plus que bien pour la belle proximité de la plage qu’offre cet hôtel. La chambre était bien. Lit confortable et l’air climatisé fonctionnait bien, mais nous n’avons jamais eu de papier toilette, serviette propre, savon/shampoing de rechange. Il fallait qu’on aille s’en chercher nous même dans le chariot de la femme de chambre qui faisait les chambres des clients qui avait quitté dans la journée. Elle n’a jamais passé à notre chambre en 5 jours.

Pay attention to the reviews.. we thought we had beachfront room and actually ended up across the street in a smaller unit. It wasn’t horrible but the view was of the parking garage. The property is older & dated but that being said, the staff kept it very clean. It can’t be easy with sand everywhere but they deep clean the room. The staff was super friendly and helpful with issues. Also, the line for the 4pm check in is frustrating.. maybe pay the extra to check in early

The entire line at check in was livid with the circumstance. The lady at the front counter said the hotel was under new management. The 'new management' should give the hotel back to the prior owner to increase the quality of the hotel.

Was great for a one night stay. The kids enjoyed being right next to the ice cream place. Room was acceptable for the beach and pool was very clean. Room was on the smaller side but I didn’t expect otherwise considering the price and proximity of the beach. Parking was great as well we were able to park very close to our room.

I was supposed to have oceanfront and they put me in the second part of the hotel a block from the beach. Not what i paid for. The shower head in my room would come out of the wall where it was half fixed. The pool was really gross. There was a ton of dirt, bugs, and hair floating around in it. Parking isn't great. The parking not in the garage should be for big vehicles only. We had to use the stairs as where our room was there was no elevator available. When we checked in there was a huge problem with the internet being down and it took like 30 minutes even though i checked in online. This is the only hotel i have ever been to that charges $50 for early check in. If the room is ready why not let us just check in? Would have made the check in line a lot faster.

Good cheap quitly stay everything was close by ..pool was clean they one outside one inside an jym area acoss the hotel room gifts shops where ok prices ..dont go to the Chinese place up the block there nasty we told them the tea tasted funny an an the put back in the cooler but over all everything was beautiful an the people are very nice could ask for a better place to stay the ocean front where u wanna be .. anything not oceanfront behind are junkys an homeless people this hotel area is safe an safe for your kids an loved ones its a must stay i wanna say thanks to the staff there super amazing there friendly an u need anything there happy to help u with anything u need the only thing there is no stove so u wanna cook bring your own camping stove or inside cooking grill i saw no bugs no mold everything wonderful cheap awsome get away

- Mild odor when entering the room - AC not activated (had to figure it out with front desk) - Dirty carpet, hair on kitchen sink, dirty piece of paper with pen - Streetlamp right in the window and blackout curtain far from window wall with gaps allowing a lot of lights straight on the head of both beds - A dozen of small cockroaches (quarter to half an inch) all over the bathroom at 4 am (didn't see them earlier in the day) The only good parts were the pool that was clean even if old, and nice location in town and close to the beach. But overall isn't worth the price.

Nice area near the beach, but there was a large cockroach, the bathroom door didn't close properly, the shower was lousy, the deadbolt on the door was non-functional. The beds were comfortable and the service was fine. The restaurant was pleasant. The resort fee didn't actually cover anything.

There was hidden fees at check in. In addition if you wanted trash removed from your room or clean bathroom towels you had to pay, unless you wanted to wait 3 days for them to come and do it for no fee, which, I had to call and request after 4 days. Horrible experience

The from staff Tiffany was very rude and not knowledgeable of her job. She told me i had one nights stay in which she put me in the wrong room the first night. The manager was kindly enough to "upgrade" my room the second night.

My stay was wonderful, I set my check out time to be 11am, at 10:21am I’m trying to open the door to get some ice and my key was disabled!!!!! I was very disappointed

Moved twice my first night due to a leaky bathroom ceiling in one room and a unsecure door in the other. Was upgraded to the building across the street to a Oceanview room. No bellman, so I had to move all my three bags by myself across the street at 10pm at night in the rain. The Oceanview room was nice but the ENTIRE property needs a major update and overhaul. I only really got to enjoy one day out of a two night stay. VERY DISAPPOINTING. Will stay elsewhere next time. The staff was nice and very accommodating though. Tierra, Tiffany and Nick are GREAT! They deserve a raise and a an employer who cares about the property they have their employees representing.

The pictures shown online when booking the property are incredibly misleading. The “alternate location” which is set up like a motel, was dirty and run down. Despite being a nonsmoking facility our room reeked like cigarettes and we had to slam our door just to get it to latch.

Picked for convenient location which it was! The room smelled cleaned and was well made. Funny stain mark on flat bed sheet - iron? Towels were little scratchy. BUT - had most convenient parking. We were at the non-ocean front rooms and could walk right out to our car on the parking deck.

Check in was very very slow. Had to remind them to give me my change twice. They kept my drivers license and I had to go the next day to retrieve it (no call no drop off ..,.. even though they knew where I was). Also booked me across the street from the main building without telling me. Never again.

Our room was very nice looking in the picture it was not in reality it was a 60 dollar a night hotel room ,its the off season and I was charged about 175 per night with all taxes and fees booked ahead of time,the room looked like it was their from 25 years ago had noticeable flaws in upkeep and the bedding was substandard a sheet was on the bed basically for your blanket no comforter or blanket,they gave us a room in the old section of the hotel not the new building so apparently they show you a picture of the new building and then put you in a old room for the same money.I would of complained but it was 1230 am when we checked in and we were only there for 29 hours but it was not a pleasant stay and for over 350 dollars in the off season I expected better and you should to.ps no amenities for free no breakfast nothing.just the low quality room.there was toothpaste on the mirror.
